So awhile ago I talked about how Sonic’s quills spike when surprised etc., but now I want to talk about the spines themselves. Hedgehog spines are actually super cool. They can be quite flexible due to how humid they are. Less humid quills are more brittle but still strong while more humid quills can have some give and bend. Quills can also freely bend and move in many directions thanks to the tipped bulbs in the hedgehog’s skin.

I took a video of Thistle to show how movable quills really are on a hedgehog.

And even Shadow’s one idle animation is pretty accurate to real hedgehog spines.

Spines are also built to stay in a hedgehogs body unlike porcupines which can detach. A hedgehog spine is so strong you can pick up a hedgehog by single spine and it won’t detach. A single spine can also withstand and bend against up to 200 times the force that would crush it. One scientist noted that he’d never seen a hedgehog with a broken or dulled quill. (Hedgehog quills can be cut from lawn mowers or hedge trimmers so always be careful and aware if you live near wild hedgehogs.)

While spines are used against predators they are also used for shock absorption. When a hedgehog is completely curled up their spines will absorb incredible amounts for force from falls from trees or high areas.

One study showed, “quills protected from a fall at 15m/s. Despite the velocity at impact, the animal survives unscathed due to the shock absorbing capabilities of its spines, which buckle under the load.” Because of this people have been studying hedgehog spines to better make helmets to protect people from concussions and head injuries.

One scientific paper I recently read did a study on the durability of hedgehog quills against repeated high velocity impact blows. It concluded that while low humidity quills were better at absorbing shock, repeated impact blows weakened the durability and broke the brittle quills. While more humid quills absorbed less shock but remained more durable and survived the repeated impacts with less damage. They said more tests would have to be done because most people only studied the strength of one quill and not all the quills working together like theirs did. But that their test may not be entirely accurate since they could not fully replicate the hedgehog’s skin/muscles working with the spines against the blows. As the bulb tip on a hedgehog's quills protect their skin from the quills being stabbed back into them after falls or hits.

But the results concluded that, “in certain conditions, Hedgehog spines can absorb as much, if not more, than industry standard impact-absorbing foam.”

Just makes me wonder how strong Sonic’s quills are as he uses his to break robots at high speeds. But him using his quills to protect himself while also using them to attack is pretty smart.

All three of the minis still had their own unique expression of frozen shock when Frenzy finally went silent, leaving you to sit awkwardly across from them at the breakfast table. Soundwave knelt at your side, his demeanour tense but supportive as the quiet continued for several agonizing moments. It was Laserbeak that found his voice first, shaking his helm as if he was trying to process the information but simply couldn't. "How's that even possible?!"

"You're WHHHAAAAAATTTT?!"

Even without utilizing her sonic scream, Frenzy had the walls shaking for the entirety of her outburst, though such a reaction was more or less what you'd expected given the news you and Soundwave had just dropped.

"From the look of it, I'm due in seven months." you answered simply, unwilling to admit that was a guess at best. Based on your symptom you could reasonably estimate you were about two months in, but there was no way to know if this was going to proceed like a normal pregnancy, and it wasn't like you could swing by a doctor's office for answers. Soundwave settled his claws on your shoulder in a gesture of support.

"Known phenomenon. Scattered historical records." Soundwave answered for you, his explanation only somewhat shorter now than what he'd given you when everything had come to light. He'd also been able to translate and show you some of the texts describing the process, which included an explanation as to how Cybertronian gametes could "read" the genetic information of other species and interpret it to match their own anatomy, allowing for reproduction between vastly different beings. The little one within you now would be fully Cybertronian, but still related to you thanks to the wonders of alien biology. You wondered briefly what features of your own might be recognizable; your smile, the shape of your eyes, the proportions of your limbs...

"Well... When's the little one gonna get here?" Laserbeak continued as the others remained silent. Ravage was tense in his chair, optics narrow and audials pinned back in deep thought whilst Frenzy still found herself incapable of getting her jaw off the floor.

Giving the minis a date seemed to make the news that much more real, and the three exchanged looks, silently discussing their feelings on the matter with expressions alone. Too many emotions passed between them for you to identify even a fraction, but you caught a considerable amount of uncertainty from all three, which we to be expected. Frenzy finally spoke for the group, crossing her arms as if she was seated at a negotiating table as she tilted her helm for a pointed question. "Are we gonna have to share a room with them? It's already pretty crowded with the three of us."

"Search for more spacious dwelling; initiated." Soundwave replied quickly. The question was one the two of you had asked yourselves, and though searching presented its own dangers, you had concluded it would be far from ideal to have a growing family in this crowded bunker. In a mere month your mate had crossed hundreds of miles in his search, and the list of new potential homes grew each time he returned. Said information was relayed to the minis in a succinct summation of his activities. "Several possible locations located. Scouting to continue."

Hearing of a new home caught the interest of all three, an understandable reaction considering their limited space at present, and also seemed to turn some of their surprise to anticipation.

"Well, if we can get somewhere with a little more elbow room... I'm on board." Frenzy said as she returned to her more casual sitting posture, looking more open to the idea now that she had some time to process and could imagine the fun that might come if it. Seeing a smile pull on her lips gave you a great deal of comfort, and you felt your shoulder relax in Soundwave's grasp. The music loving femme tapped her chin as she pondered the possibilities. "Something beachside would be pretty tight."

Matching her energy, Laserbeak added his own two cents, equally excited at the prospect of moving from their cramped abode. "I could go for something up in the mountains, nice to have open air under the wings."

You prepared to reply with a list of the places Soundwave had scouted, but Frenzy scoffed at Laserbeak's suggestion before you could speak, returning to her old self with impressive speed. "Boring! How are we gonna have fun in the middle of the woods?"

"If the bitlet ends up flying, where else am I gonna show them the ropes?" he replied, holding up his wings like hands in his exasperation.

The comment took you pleasantly by surprise. Moments ago they'd been so shocked you couldn't really tell if they were at all on board with the new family member, but Laserbeak was already planning for including the little one, and Frenzy made it clear she was doing the same with her retort.

"How can I take them to rock concerts if there aren't any?" she asked in equal exasperation, making you smile at how she was also planning for their future sibling. You were confident now their initial reaction had been purely one of shock, and now that it had faded they were all proving more than amenable to the idea of a little brother or sister.

"They can fly there!" Laserbeak replied as the silly argument intensified, the two minis squabbling over the best places to live for the sake of their interests as well as their future sibling. Ravage remained removed from the entire discussion, but you found his posture far more relaxed, and when his gaze met your own for a second time he was far from displeased. The Felicon looked to you for a moment of consideration before giving a nod, his way of indicating that he too was fine with this most unexpected turn of events. You nodded back in appreciation. This little one may have been unplanned, but they would be anything but unloved.

"Arguments unhelpful." Soundwave sighed as the petty squabble grew lightly physical, juvenile slaps being traded by Frenzy and Laserbeak as they debated whose idea for a new location was "obviously" superior to the others. You chuckled lightly and gave his servo a pat, certain this chaos would hardly compare to what your little family would be dealing with in just a few short months.

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG

☆ He’s a little disappointed, to be honest. He felt really strongly towards you, and he felt like you two were meant to be. To be honest, he completely thought you felt the same, which was part of the reason why he confessed to you in the first place.

☆ Regardless, he respects your choice. He just hopes you two can still be friends. After all, he’d hate to lose someone like you. Partner or not, you’re still really important to him.

☆ All he asks of you is that you don’t talk to him immediately. Let him be alone, he needs some time. He doesn’t hate you, far from it, he just needs some alone time to process this and heal.

SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG

☆ Like Sonic, he’s disappointed. He poured his whole heart out to you, only for you to reject him? He’s never felt this way for anyone, and the one time he chooses to be completely honest with you, it ends in hurt.

You weren't sure why you bothered coming back here. You should have never started coming to this exact spot in the middle of the night to meet the blue hedgehog. He should've always been an enemy.

He shouldn't be your friend... you shouldn't be doing this-

It was all nice at first. You had been coaxed into meeting the Sonic in private. At first... it was all nice chat. It made you feel seen... made you feel loved... it was like a feeling you've long forgotten.

It was innocent when you came to the hedgehog, Sonic, for a feeling of something new. He often asked if you could leave Eggman and enjoy him. You began to see him as a friend... but always refused the offer.

To you, your visits were a way to have a glimpse into a normal life. You could justify it by just telling yourself it was all to get information. You wanted to have a normal life with Sonic... but could not leave the doctor.

You could tell how much your answers affected the hedgehog. He never seemed to like the idea of you staying with Eggman more than him. As a result... the innocent nature of his visits shift to something else.

Sonic's attempts to persuade you grow more desperate as you continue to meet him at night. His words became more aggressive and persistent. He even began to touch your hands or pull you into his embrace. Sonic seemed to try his best to pull you into his side...

But you remained loyal to Eggman.

He hated every second of it.

Even now as you meet the hedgehog leaning against a tree you can see him glaring. You refuse to run from him and stand before him despite your fears. Even when he wraps himself around you... your barely flinch.

"Just come back with me..." Sonic whispers, green eyes pleading towards you. He's acted like this before... which is why you didn't bother leaving. However... it was never this intense.

"I know you're part robot due to Eggman now... but you'll always have a home with me!" Sonic begs. "Don't you want a normal life? I can give you that!"

You say nothing and silently wonder again if this was a good idea. You shouldn't have ever met up with him in the first place. Now look where you are.

"Come on... please admit you want this!" Sonic pleads, keeping an intense gaze in your eyes. "Please admit you need me!"

"Sonic..." You sigh, pushing away from his tight grip. "Eggman will notice I'm gone. I really should head back, this wasn't a good idea-"

You barely finish your sentence before Sonic is tackling you onto the ground. You gasp as the wind is knocked out of you. That green gaze that always seemed so welcoming... now looks spiteful and glaring.

This... wasn't your friend anymore.

"No! You can't leave yet!" Sonic cries out. You go silent as the hedgehog's breathing goes ragged on top of you. Fear pings throughout as you try to assess the situation.

"Tell me you want me. Please. Just for one night tell me...tell me that you want me." Sonic whispers, looking desperately towards you for some sort of validation. Shock courses through you as the hedgehog leans closer.

Sonic didn't want to be your friend... Sonic wanted to he something else.

Your ears pin back in shock... what do you say?

You're brought back to your senses when Sonic leans closer.

"I'm going to kiss you. Okay? Just...just let me kiss you." Sonic whispers softly, nose touching yours. "I've... waited a long time for this."

This makes you make a move.

"We shouldn't...we shouldn't do this." You lightly push away the hedgehog, face heating at the thought. However, Sonic gently holds your wrist. He's soothing....

"Why not? What's so bad about enjoying this?" Sonic whispers with a small smile. "Don't you want to be loved?"

You say nothing and Sonic presses his lips softly on yours.

Truth is... you did want to be loved... no matter how strange it felt...

You just wonder how long it will last.

Hi there!!

So Sonic meets them when he sees Shadow out in public one day, and unfortunately for Shadow his back is facing a wall, so Sonic can’t read it and immediately strikes up a conversation, startling him.

He’s waiting outside a public bathroom for Maria, just has arms crossed and staring ahead and Sonic walks up and starts talking to him and he’s pulled out of his zoning out, and initially he’s immediately resistant, because distractions.

“I haven’t seen you around these parts before. I’m Sonic! What’s your—“

“You’re distracting me. Please don’t talk to me.”

“Huh? It doesn’t look like you’re doing anything.”

“I’m working. She’ll be back soon, so scram.”

“Who’s—“

And then Maria comes skipping out and looking shocked between the two bc Shadow doesn’t ever address others like “Omg who is this?”

And Shadow just scowls and grabs her hand. “Nobody. The Professor won’t appreciate tardiness.” And then, nodding at Sonic. “Sonic. This will be the last time we see each other. Come, Maria.”

And he pulls her away and Sonic is just as confused as he is charmed BDNDNSKDNFN. Maria allows Shadow to pull her along, shooting an apologetic little smile back at the strange blue hedgehog. She’s like, “Aw come on, don’t you want to make a friend?” and Shadow is just immediately like “No.”

Sonic ‘conveniently’ runs into them a second time while they’re out and about another day, and Maria has the wonderful idea to suggest Sonic joining them. Shadow is cold and standoffish at first, but only Maria can tell he’s…slightly interested. He can tell Sonic has something of an ‘otherness’ about him like himself. It helps Sonic doesn’t condescend him about his work as a service Mobian, and is kinda fascinated by them instead.

That’s how Sonic worms his way into their lives initially, and when he shows off his speed to Shadow, Shadow’s interest is Fully Piqued. He’s never gotten to test his own limits in that way, with something as superfluous and meaninglessly fun as a race. And the fact that Sonic immediately hits it off with Maria is basically brownie points from someone like Shadow.

The first time they hang out alone: Sonic and Maria convince Shadow to go just him and Sonic to an arcade; Maria is just across the street, Shadow, she’ll be fine! And it’s the first time Shadow’s ever been alone with someone besides Maria since he was a baby, so it’s very anxiety inducing, and Shadow relies on Sonic to navigate him through most social situations and cues that fly over Shadow’s head. But he’s…having fun. Sonic brings out a competitive streak in himself he never knew existed. For all intents and purposes, it’s like a date, but neither of them intend it to be, nor does Shadow have the emotional wherewithal to interpret it as a date at this point.

(Things go south when Maria’s energy unexpectedly dips and she collapses when she comes into the arcade to come fetch him. Shadow’s fun goes out the window, and he’s immediately pulling her into his arms, trying desperately not to panic. Maria hasn’t collapsed like this since she was a child, and he was a baby, and he blames himself for his negligence. There’s a brief falling out between him and Sonic after; he’s angry, but it’s mostly at himself. He allowed himself to be distracted and Maria suffered for it. It doesn’t matter that Maria reassures him it was just a freak thing, it shouldn’t stop Shadow from pursuing a friendship, and she feels terrible that it drives a wedge between the hedgehogs. It won’t last long, though. Sonic will come back around, and Shadow can’t so easily push him away again now that he’s known the warmth of Sonic’s presence.)

If you’re wondering how Gerald feels about this— they don’t tell him. Gerald would definitely NOT approve of Sonic or his involvement, for exactly the reason described above. Thankfully no more freak accidents happen like that again, and it takes a long time for Shadow to be comfortable parting from her for any amount of time. One thing does give him peace of mind however! And that’s when Maria convinces Gerald to buy Shadow his own cell phone <3 Perfect for keeping in contact with Gerald, Maria, and 1 other contact in it, heheh.

❝I remember you❞ | Alastor Hartfelt x Time-Lord Reader PART 2

quick note: here is part two everyone, sorry it took so long to do, have been caught up with my other Hazbin Hotel story on Wattpad lol I'm sorry if Alastor is a little ooc in this part, but there will be a reason as to why he sounds a bit different, hopefully. If people like this part, I may make a series based on this concept. Anyways, on with Part two.

summary: after y/n had regenerated, something in the back of Alastor's might told him he knew who this man was.

Alastor watched, his eyes gazing at the man who laid on the couch now, golden particles leaving his mouth once in a while. The others had noticed the red deer demons silence, and we're getting a bit unnerved from it. His smile was strained as he could feel a tear leave one of his eyes, he lifted a clawed hand to his cheek and whipped it away confused, looking at the small tear drop on his fingers. "Al? Are you okay?" Alastor startled when Charlie came to his side, worried for her friend who seemed lost in thought. He tried his best to grin at the blonde.

"why of course my dear! Why wouldn't I be?" He spoke, his voice with an overlay of more static than normal, which made Charlie and the other wince at the sudden sound.

"you just look, uh," Charlie tried, getting over her shock of the sound, "you just look like you recognized him, is all." She was observant. "And the look you give him, it's worrying us."

"speak for yourself Char-Char," Lucifer pipped in, not a least bit interested in Alastor affiliation with the alien on the couch.

"dad!" Charlie hissed, glaring at him.

"what the fuck?" Husk said, getting the attention of everyone in the lobby. Behind Husk, was a glowing white crack that was too close for comfort next to him. Alastor's eyes widened.

"Husk, get away from that!" He yelled, rushing to the cat demon and yanking him back over the counter, his microphone momentarily forgotten. "No one goes near it, if it touches you, you'll cease to exist." The deer demon quickly went to the time-Lord who was resting, as Angel and Charlie both helped Husk up, everyone now on high alert.

"the hell does that mean?" Lucifer asked, "and how do you even know what it is?"

Alastor ignored the question and put his hands on the time-Lords cheeks.

"y/n! We really need you doll! Come on, how do you wake up a sleeping alien?" The others watched the panicking Radio Demon, wondering what was making him so panicked when the crack was on the other side of the counter. "Oh, I'm really sorry y/n." Alastor raised his hand and slapped the sleeping man in the face, which caused him to jump up and yell in pain. the deer demon backed up as the time-Lord held his cheek.

"oi! What the hell was that for?" He asked.

"problem." Alastor gestured towards the crack. y/n raised a brow and stood up, but stumbled when one of his hearts stuttered, Alastor held his arm.

"oh, you've woken me too soon. I'm still baking," another golden hue came from his mouth.

"you'll be fine." Alastor rolled his eyes.

"oh, pushy little companion you are, it's a wonder the doctor keeps you lot around all the time." y/n pushed off Alastor and towards the crack, his sonic in hand. "Interesting. Seems to be a crack in time, it would explain how I got here." He scanned it and read the data. "What? Nothing? Oh, don't tell You're busted."

"still talks to his sonic," Alastor muttered, picking his microphone up. y/n looked towards him with a raised brow.

"what was that Alastor?" He asked with curiosity.

"uh, spoilers?" Alastor shrugged.

"you see it right? I'm not just losing my shit?" Angel leaned down to both Husk and Cherri, watching the time-Lord and demon interact.

"yeah, it's almost like they're old friends. But that can't be right, he just changed in front of us." Cherri said.

"he did say something about a time crack or some shit." Husk said, leaning over towards the counter and grabbing his cheap booze and taking a swig.

"so, is he like a time travel?" Charlie asked, coming into the conversation.

"bull shit, the other angels would tell me something like that if it was plausible." Lucifer glared over at the two, who were talking about the crack, as if they were long time friends, and with the life like his and the doctor's, no one would be surprised.

"you know, you seem to know a lot about this? Have we met in the future? Are you one of the doctor's dead companions?" y/n put his screwdriver away, and poked the other man in the chest.

"I wouldn't know, my dear." He lied, grinning down at the man. Goodness, it felt good to finally tower over this man. His human form was tall, but not nearly as tall as the time-Lord's.

"if you're lying --" a sudden whooshing sound echoed through the hotel, which had heads turning. "The TARDIS! Oh, the doctors found me!" y/n exclaimed as the TARDIS materialized near the front doors, the two doors opening to reveal the newly regenerated doctor, leaning against the frame as he smiled at the man. "Doctor!" "y/n!" The two exclaimed, running to each other, and hugging each other. They could deal with their regenerations later. They let go.

"y/n, you have no idea how worried I was, I thought I lost you forever." The doctor said.

"I missed you so much Doctor! Where's Donna? I need to see her, tell her everything about --"

"Donna's gone now, y/n, I'm sorry." The doctor said.

"oh." He debated. He loved Donna, she was like an older sister he never had, even though he was thousands of years older than her. The doctor looked up from his spot in the TARDIS and noticed the demons looking at him.

"oh my, where did you end up?" The doctor asked.

"Hell. Pretty fitting huh?" y/n smirked, trying to hide his hurt from losing Donna without saying goodbye to her. "These are my friends," he gestured to them, but the Doctor's eyes stayed on Alastor a little longer, feeling like he knew the deer demon.

"oh, that reminds me, Amy, it's okay to come out!" A beautiful red head appeared, looking at the colorful array of demons before landing on the other time-Lord.

"is he also?"

"yes, I am. Hello miss Amy, your quiet beautiful." He smiled.

"thank you." She shied away from him.

"hello, yes, if I may, we seem to have a little problem." Alastor said, pointing towards the crack.

"ah! Right, well, let's get this done Doctor!" The two ran in front of the crack, pointing their sonics at it, before closing the crack. "Wow, that was a lot easier than I expected."

"doctor, how did it get here?" Amy asked, going to stand by Alastor.

"it's following us, well, y/n, say goodbye to your friends, we need to go." The doctor said. y/n frowned, knowing he had no choice but to go. He didn't belong here when he was alive, too many sinners wanted a piece of him.

"wait, you're leaving?" Charlie asked, sad to lose her friend.

"afraid so, but maybe, we'll see each other again." He nodded, saying goodbye to the sinners, and leaving Alastor for last, wrapping his arms around the taller man to bring him into a hug, which made the younger man stiffen. "If you are from my future, were you a companion of mine?" He asked.

"Spoilers, my dear." y/n chuckled as Alastor hugged him back, before he left to the TARDIS. "Well, friends, Allons-y!" "Geronimo!" The two aliens exclaimed.

"oh we're doing that are we doctor?" He asked, going into the TARDIS with the doctor and companion.

Alastor watched, his smile on as he felt that his past self was gonna have such a time being a companion of y/n.

Shatter Me, Entry 5: Shatter Me - Sonic X Shadow Generations

Shadow's crimson eyes widened, their colour reflecting that of the sky, which was covered in dark clouds, thunder rumbling and lightning glowing in an eerie blood red light. Black and red alien-like creatures appeared from the clouds, dropping all over the city that Shadow had been observing earlier, causing carnage and destruction in their wake. Shadow could only stare in shock in disbelief as the realization of not only where he was, but also what was going on, hit him.

''Impossible! The Black Arms were supposed to be extinct!''

Somehow, he found himself back at Westopolis during the siege the Black Arms aliens laid upon it, but he didn't understand how this was possible. He knew that the Black Arms were gone, having not only personally defeated Black Doom as Super Shadow, but also annihilated the Black Comet via the Eclipse Cannon. Despite not acknowledging himself as such, he was the sole survivor of the Black Arms race, being a hybrid who had Black Arms DNA imbued in his person.

Nevertheless, having his memories fully restored and having resolved to protect the world in his own way, Shadow decided to put a stop to this invasion. It didn't matter to him whether this was some kind of illusion or if he had traveled to the past, he was not going to let Black Doom, or anyone for that matter, manipulate him again. Having made his decision, he skated off towards the city, fighting off any of the aliens that got into his way.

If the Black Arms are here, then Black Doom should also be close.

Shadow blasted a Black Warrior with a well-aimed Chaos Spear, continuing his chase through Westopolis, looking around for Black Doom, as he suspected that his supposed ''father'' might appear eventually and demand that he finds the Chaos Emeralds. However, something that he took note of was the fact that the streets seemed to be almost empty. There were no civilians running away nor G.U.N. soldiers fighting back against the invasion, keeping Shadow wondering. He was suddenly blinded by a flash of light, placing his arm over his eyes to shield them, and to his shock, he found himself skating through the Space Colony ARK, devoid of all life aside from one entity that emerged from a red portal.

''You!''

Before Shadow was a black and dark purple starfish-like creature with six black-tipped squamous probes and a brutally large red-orange eye in its center. Emerging from its eye and moving along its limbs, it had six blood-red lines. The dark hedgehog furrowed a brow, gritting his teeth as he glared daggers at what he came to knew as Doom's Eye.

''You are late, Shadow… We have returned to take over this pathetic planet you call home! Its annihilation is near! It is time to embrace the dawn of your demise and despair!''

To Shadow's shock, the space station around him started to break apart, with reality warping in itself, turning into a spiral-like landscape. Shadow turned his attention back to Doom's Eye, who was now escaping through the tunnel and sped up, determined not to let it get away. However, the ground below him gave away, and a kaleidoscope of buildings emerged instead. It was as if the world was falling apart and trying to rebuild itself again. He saw Doom's Eye flying past him, stopping for a moment as if to taunt him, before disappearing once again as Shadow fell back into a reality that was either the past or his own memories; he didn't know.

''Shadow!''

Shadow felt someone grabbing him by the wrist, turning his attention upwards and seeing Sonic holding his arm. The azure hedgehog was just as stunned to see the environment around them becoming more and more twisted, but nevertheless happy to see his rival.

''Brace yourself!'' Sonic exclaimed, suddenly throwing Shadow towards a nearby skyscraper, with the dark hedgehog landing on top of it. Sonic then used his homing attack to zero in on the skyscraper, skidding to a halt once he landed safely. Both hedgehogs exchanged glances, before looking back at their surroundings, which were a twisted reflection of the reality they knew.

''Sonic, what is going on? The Black Arms…'' Shadow trailed off when he suddenly spotted another newcomer to their little reunion – a light blue hedgehog wearing red shoes and carrying himself with a swagger Shadow had already seen in one other person. His eyes darted from Sonic's younger self towards the older one, who just gave him a confident smirk.

''It's a bit of a long story involving saving the world again… But, do you think you can handle yourself here?'' Sonic asked. Shadow gazed back at the warped image of Westopolis that was once again invaded by the Black Arms, before turning his attention back to Sonic, responding in an equally confident manner.

''Of course I can. I'll take care of this.''

New Random Oneshot! I only edited through this once, so the quality may be poorer than I usually do.

(At the time of writing, I haven’t watched S3 yet, but still: Sonic Prime Spoilers!!)

Synopsis: After saving Sonic from the throes of death, Shadow wakes up back home. Within the next few minutes, he finds that their victory together may have come with unintended consequences (aka feelings). Read Below ⬇️

As blinding white light dissipated, Shadow the Hedgehog promptly fell flat on his face. His mind raced too fast, contrasting his body which had come to a complete and painful halt.

The first thing he noticed was the taste of grass. 

Not rock or whatever the hell those shards in the void were— grass, green grass. The kind that belonged to home. He rolled over and barked out a laugh.

He’d never been more happy to eat dirt. 

Man, if Sonic had heard him say that…

Oh, shit, Sonic—

Popping to his feet so fast he nearly fell back on his face— which was most definitely counterproductive— Shadow staggered, shaking off the static black and nausea of vertigo before looking around frantically for the blue hedgehog. The events moments prior flashed back through his head like a sick movie.

No no no, that idiot couldn’t have died right? He’s too stubborn to just disappear like that, this wasn’t happening, where—

Up in the distance, he heard the faint sound of yelling, barely audible against his rapid heart beat. 

“Sonic, NO!”

Shadow immediately ran toward the sound, up the mountain. Instinctively, he reached into his quills, gloved fingers making purchase on a smooth gem— when had it come back?

No matter. It would get him where he needed to be, and that was all he cared about.

“Chaos control!”

Shadow reappeared at the cavern entrance, immediately faced with the inexplicably idiocratic scene of Sonic hugging Eggman.

Of course, the villain didn’t take very kindly to Sonic’s sudden affection, promptly opening the cockpit of his mech and driving a fist into the hedgehog’s gut, eliciting an inappropriately surprised grunt. Shadow repressed the urge to facepalm. Really?

Sighing, he leapt Sonic’s rescue for the millionth time since that dumbass shattered reality. 

Within seconds, Eggman’s mech sat mangled, kicked to the side of the cave and far away from the prism. The doctor let out a strangled squeak in fear. 

Shadow didn’t pay him any more attention. The sound of metal crunching was one he had wished not to hear again for a long, long time. Stupid faker.

Speaking of his counterpart— “Hey Shadow! Nice timing!” Sonic grinned, peeling himself off the ground and, oblivious to his friends’ shocked looks behind him, hopped over to Shadow with an outstretched hand. “Up top!”

Shadow just huffed at the gesture, grabbing Sonic’s wrist and pulling the hand close to his face. 

No transparency. 

A sort of delayed relief flooded through him at that, and part of Shadow realized just how scared he’d been. That was a first for the ultimate lifeform. 

“You’re okay.” He stated.

“Um. Yeah?”

“Well, that’s great,” Rouge remarked, flying over to where they stood. Her smile widened dramatically and she stared at the Paradox Prism with a bit of crazed fervor in her eyes. “I’ll be taking this beauty—”

She might as well have said she was going to kill someone, because both hedgehogs reacted with a violent jerk, lunging for the rock in unison.

“Wait no!” 

“Chaos control!”

A flash of light left four friends wondering what in hell they just witnessed (and one evil genius quietly making a getaway).

“Ugh.” Shadow spat, steadying the prism. “So what do we do with this thing?”

Sonic didn’t respond, which was surprising given that he never shut up (not even on the brink of death). The black hedgehog rolled his eyes and glared at him. “Well?”

Sonic stared at the ground, then up at Shadow, and cleared his throat quietly. “Uh. You can let go now?”

It was then that Shadow realized he still had a death grip on Sonic’s slender wrist. 

Oh, he wished he could’ve disappeared right then, and he meant it with every fiber of his being.

Shadow didn’t know what was worse, the fact that his face was most definitely burning a cherry red, unable to give a proper explanation for this act, or the fact that part of him didn’t want to let go. 

He settled on awkwardly retracting his hand and letting out a choked “Sorry.”

Sonic coughed and peeled his eyes away from Shadow’s face, for which he was grateful for. “I was thinking… maybe we could leave it in Tails’ Lab.”

“So you or your friends can break it again? Definitely not.” Shadow rebuked. “We should take it somewhere no one could chance upon by accident.”

“So why’d you even ask me?” Sonic pouted, tapping his foot impatiently. “If you got it figured out already then go ahead. I certainly don’t know any secretive places.”

Shadow paused at his statement. 

Why had he brought Sonic along? Since when did he get that instinct?

…to keep him close?

“Shadow? Hellooooo—” Sonic waved his hand in front of a dazed face, effectively breaking Shadow’s trance. Emerald eyes peered worriedly into his own crimson. “What’s up?”

“Nothing.” He grumbled, turning away. But of course that didn’t work, because Mr. Annoying just stepped back into his line of view.

“Aw come on, don’t give me that,” Sonic said, circling him to keep eye contact. “You never act like this. Hmm…” Shadow could practically hear gears turning inside that peanut brain of his, and unfortunately, this time they worked. “...is it… wait. Don’t tell me you’re worried? About lil ol’ me?”

“Shut. Up.” 

“Okay. Sorry, sorry.” Sonic gestured defensively at Shadow’s death glare. “But I’m fine, you don’t gotta worry.”

“It’s not that.” He snarled in response. Sonic just gave him the most unamused look. 

“Well, what is it then? What’s the saying… penny for your thoughts?”

“It’s nothing.”

“It’s not nothing.”

“Shut up.”

“No.”

Shadow growled and imposed his fiercest glare on Sonic, hoping to scare him off, but his rival (Rival? Friend? Ally?) just stared back with equal intensity. “You don’t scare me, Shadow.”

“Well— you scared me!” Shadow admits, the words tumbling out of his mouth before he could catch them. He dipped his head to focus on the ground instead, hoping futilely that it would swallow him whole. “I… I thought that… you… I thought that you were going to… that you would—”

“Die?” Sonic put a hand to Shadow’s chin, tilting his head up to meet his eyes. Shadow scowled but didn’t deny it.

There was silence for a few seconds, neither hedgehog knowing what to say. 

What kind of words could fix seeing someone nearly slip from reality? …in your very arms?

Maybe there was some magic phrase that would sooth that pain, but none of them knew it. They weren’t exactly the best at communication, after all, seeing as they fought things out most of the time. 

Sonic eventually pulled away and broke the stillness with a sigh. “Shadow. I… I don’t know what you want to hear. It’s probably not that I don’t regret my… decision. But that’s the truth— Gosh, this is awkward. Amy was always better at this… I’m getting side tracked, aren’t I?” He rambled, glancing up at Shadow to see if he was still listening. Shadow gestured for him to continue. There was no harm, right?

“Look. I… it was risky, but it was better than the alternative, right? And it worked! I lived, even! You guys saved me. It’s okay.”

“You expected to die?”

Sonic winced. “Uhh— I… yeah. That’s not the point, though—”

“What do you mean, that’s not the point?!” Shadow exploded, causing Sonic to back up. “That’s not okay, idiot! Do you think I could’ve lived knowing you sacrificed your life to save mine?!”

“And the others,” Sonic piped, then cringed at the face Shadow made. “Wrong answer, wrong answer. I—”

He was interrupted by Shadow pulling him into a tight hug. “You selfless moron. The answer is no.”

For a few seconds, Sonic was too stunned to speak or reciprocate the gesture. Then he hugged Shadow back, squeezing him tighter than the other had gripped him moments away from entering the gateway. “I-It’s okay, Shads. I’m fine now.”

“Tell me you won’t try something like that again.”

“...no promises. But I hope it won’t come to that.”

“Sonic.” Shadow tangled himself and held the hero at arm's length. He just let out a laugh, and Shadow found that he couldn’t be angry at those sparkling emerald eyes. “Just… try. Please?” 

“Mhm. You should know by now, Shads,” Sonic grinned, “I kinda suck at dying.”

Shadow couldn’t help the smile that formed on his face, which he tried in vain to hide. 

“You smiled! I saw it!”

“Did not.”

“Did to!”

“Just admit it, Shadow, you’re not as grumpy as you seem.”

Shadow rolled his eyes but didn’t deny his statement. Sonic took his silence as agreement and cheered. “I knew you were soft on the inside! Just couldn’t resist my charm, could you?”

He looked so happy as he picked up the prism that Shadow swallowed the quip he was going to make. In the scattered rainbow light, Sonic was… was pretty.

Ugh, stupid skittles rock. Messing with his thoughts. 

He hoped Sonic couldn’t see the blush that tinted his cheeks as he hooked arms and teleported them away.

#1 DAD MUG

A/N: enjoy this little north/sonic/kim (They're all together bc i can) gifting Alan a #1 dad mug on fathers day thing I threw together.

*Kim pov*

"We should go in here I've been wanting a new jacket,"  Sonic says gesturing to a little vintage shop.

"You're got it," North pipes up bolting to the door so he can hold it open for us.

We've been together for a few months now and decided it would be nice to have a nice shopping date where we walk around a bunch of small shops and just exist with each other. I started liking them when I was staying with Alan, they were just such a different energy than I was used to. They're always so lively and happy all the time and it's hard to not have it infected you too.

When we told everyone about our relationship they were all so supportive, though a little shocked that North and Sonic hadn't been together for a while and hadn't told anyone yet. I had been too honestly but what matters is we are all together now.

We walked around the shop together for a while before North got distracted by the wall of trinkets on the side of the store and wondered off. I stayed with Sonic helping him pick out some jackets. At one point he slips his hand out of mine to grab some bright green and black jacket so I slip my hand in his back pocket.

He gets the jacket half off the hanger when we hear North start giggling so loud it was like he's right next to us. We look over at him and he just waves us over.

"GUYS HOW FUNNY WOULD IT BE IF WE GAVE THIS TO ALAN!!" He shouts bouncing up and down like a kid who just ate a shit load of candy.

"TOMORROWS FATHERS DAY!" Sonic chimes in instantly matching his energy.

"We could get him a card too," I add while I set my elbow on Norths shoulder.

"YES!!" they both shout.

After that's settled we walk around the shop and pick out a few more things before I pay for it all and we head home.

*the next morning*

*Alan's pov*

"Wake uuuuppp," I barely hear some voice call for me as I'm shaken awake. After recognizing Norths voice I ignore him and tuck my head into Jeff's neck.

Unfortunately he doesn't get the signal and continues pestering us or should I say me, he's leaving Jeff alone. I look at the alarm clock and see it's 9:30 which is later than we are usually up but we didn't have to be at the garage until the afternoon so we wanted to sleep in.

However it doesn't seem like I get to be granted that wish today. I prop myself up and see North, Sonic, and Kim sat up and snuggled at the end of the bed.

"What is so important that you couldn't wait until work?" I ask them. By now Jeff has also stated to wake up but still leans on my shoulder from drowsiness.

"So rude we come here to bring you A PRESENT and this is how you treat us," North places his hand on his chest to mock offense.

"You could have at least knocked."

"To be fair I knocked one time and you acted like I had three heads," Kim inputs.

"You know when you three got together I thought you would reign those two in a bit and calm them down. I miss those days."

"Get over it and open your present," Sonic says shoving a bag at me.

First thing I pull out is a "#1 dad mug" under it I see a cheesy card with an ice cube on it that says "ur a cool dad" with all their names signed in it. I hate to admit it but it was so cute I got over the fact that they woke me up just to mess with me.

"IM NOT YOUR DAD!!" I say throwing the now empty bag at them.

"You kind of are," Jeff says now that he's fully awake.

"You do realize that makes you their step dad."

"I can live with that."

"Anyway we have brunch reservations so we need to go," Kim says and they all tackle us in a hug and run out the bedroom door.

The last thing I hear is them shout "love you dad" before the front door closes.

"You act all annoyed but you know if you ever had to go week without their chaos you wouldn't know what to do with yourself. You absolutely adore them and their mischief as much as they love you and pestering you. Anyway I'm going to shower," Jeff says before kissing me on the cheek and heading to shower.

He's right but honestly I don't mind I love this family I have around me and wouldn't change a thing about it. I wipe away the tears that started building in my eyes before propping the card up on my bedside table and going down to make breakfast.

*some morning a couple weeks later*

"Wow Alan you're really leaning into the whole dad friend thing aren't you?" Babe teases gesturing the the mug North, Sonic, and Kim gave me as I fill it with coffee. Everyone's over for our monthly movie night a tradition started as a way to relax after everything with Tony.

"AWWW you use the mug we got you, you do love it," North taunts from the couch.

"He uses it every day," Jeff adds from beside me.

A chorus of "awww"s sounds from the living room and I shoot Jeff a playful glare.

"And he keeps the card on his bedside table."

I swear they all drive me crazy I think and smile to myself.

The first proper trailer for Sonic Prime came out yesterday, as I'm sure you've all heard. I've gotten several messages asking me my thoughts, so... here's some thoughts! Thoughts on how the show's looking, and a certain bat whose presence is somehow the biggest news to me.

First off? This looks phenomenal, visually speaking. I'm kind of in awe of how good the visuals in CGI cartoons are getting. The scenery looks great. The characters move so fluidly. Everything's beautifully lit. I could go on and on. I wish the in-engine game cutscenes had animation half this good.

I continue to be pleased with how slavishly faithful to the games the main universe is - to the point that they're saying this is, in fact, just set in the game universe. Yeah, we're all getting tired of Green Hill Zone, but we've never had a cartoon that was this faithful. The closest we got was Sonic X, which I like, but it's hard to look at any random episode about Sonic having to save the extensive human cast from another generic robot and say it really has the feel of the games. Seeing Sonic and co. fight some classic Badniks in a cartoon with (mostly) their normal designs feels special after all these years of never quite getting that.

That slavish faithfulness to the classic iconography also makes the differences with the multiverse stuff hit harder, and thank GOD they're finally showing some of that. This teaser is pitching it as a show about Sonic meeting alternate timeline versions of his friends who form an underground resistance against the Eggman Empire (funny how the franchise keeps finding itself back in Freedom Fighter territory), which is fun and all. Tall cyborg Amy! A version of Tails who can walk like a spider on a set of robotic kitsune tails! Hell yeah! But if the synopsis blurbs about a "multiverse" and "new worlds" and that pile of leaked concept art from a year and a half ago are anything to go off of, this is presumably only the first of multiple alternate worlds that we'll be seeing. I'm very excited to see more of them!

We also hear a little more from the new voice cast. Brian Drummond is kinda doing his own thing with Eggman. I like it. It sounds compatible with the usual Mike Pollock take without aping it 1:1. He seems maybe a little more sinister here, which fits what we've seen so far from this take on Eggman. And Deven Mack still sounds great as Sonic, although I kind of wonder if he's being instructed to sound like Roger since the delivery in what we've heard so far is pretty similar. I get that desire for consistency, but I hope he's able to inject a bit more of his own spin on Sonic in the full show, even if it's supposed to technically be the same Sonic as Roger's.

Meanwhile, the roles for the rest of the main voice cast have been confirmed elsewhere, and they mostly match up with what I expected because these casting choices just make perfect sense. I already know Shannon Chan-Kent, known primarily for playing Misa in Death Note and Pinkie Pie's singing voice (and Smolder) in MLP, is perfect casting for Amy. Ashleigh Ball's one brief line as Tails sounds a lot like her Rainbow Dash voice, but like... hey, it fits! I'm excited to hear more from her. And Knuckles... well, I don't know his VA as well and also he has no lines in this trailer.

But by now y'all know which characters I stan the most, and you know what I'm gonna be excited about. The big surprise here is the fact that Rouge is on the main cast. The main cast.

The cast posters revealed that she was in the show, which was big enough news, but then the trailer drops and she's on the damn team. Every hero team in a kids' show needs three boys and two girls, and this time they rounded out the group with Rouge. AND she's being voiced by Kazumi Evans, yet another MLP alum on this show - this time Rarity's singing voice and the voice of Adagio Dazzle in Equestria Girls. I don't even need to hear any lines, I know that's another perfect fit.

I'm just shocked. Rouge hasn't been in a TV series in almost two decades since she was kept out of Boom, robbing us of the "Rouge somehow ropes Team Sonic into doing a goofy heist with her" episode the world deserved. Ian's even said that he pitched some ideas for Boom Rouge after being asked to pitch more Boom-ified game characters, but it went nowhere. While she's continued to show up in the comics and (to a lesser extent) the games due to her fan favorite status, it's kind of felt like she was being swept under the rug. Fewer major story appearances than in the '00s, not much merch, it took them until the fifth Mario & Sonic game to make her playable. And she's probably seen as less broadly marketable as a mascot character because of... well, two big reasons.

And so, understandably, Rouge is here with a new outfit that covers those two big reasons up more than usual.

Yeah as a Rouge fan, a person who's talked at length about the fanservice in Archie Sonic, and a sapphic furry artist, I can't avoid talking about this stuff lol

I mostly like the new outfit and think it was a smart call. We can have lots of nuanced discussions about objectification and sexual liberation and the fact that seeing some cleavage isn't gonna kill you and how being the flirty femme fatale is a core part of Rouge's character and whether that's objectifying or empowering and all the other things that get brought up every time a new Bayonetta game comes out. But at the end of the day their main audience is 8-year-olds, and because of that I really can't blame them for dressing Rouge slightly more modestly. I've always loved Rouge as a character the way she already is, but people (particularly non-fans, and also just... Sonic fans who aren't also furries lol) often write her off as "that weird bat lady with the tits that people are really horny for." Hopefully the writing will show non-comic readers that she's a genuinely fun character when used well as a foil to the rest of the cast, and hopefully her new outfit(s) will allow people to focus on that.

I do think something's a little off with the new outfit, though, even if I think it looks solid overall. Is it just that the heart motif is more abstract and less of a central focus here? That might be part of it. Maybe the suit just looks slightly overdesigned next to Team Sonic. Unsurprisingly I've also already seen multiple pieces of fanart giving this outfit a boob window, with one arguing that showing more of her skin tone on her torso gives the design better color balance, and... yeah, on that level I do kinda agree lol. Although I think a similar balance could be achieved just by having her upper arms be exposed or something. (Which is a feature on her bad timeline counterpart's outfit!) But, yeah, overall I do think I like it.

I also don't think they actually made her boobs smaller compared to most of her modern appearances despite the many, many, MANY claims to the contrary but I am not getting into that debate lol. Also she's literally still wearing a skintight catsuit and doing cool flying kicks you are not allowed to say they made her less hot

The fact that they're putting Rouge front and center has me VERY curious about her future prospects in the movie universe, though, given the particular projects currently in the works. To me, this makes it seem WAY more likely than it previously did. But who knows?

Uhhh anyway yeah the show looks good. I like pretty much everything we've seen so far. I like basically all of the previous Sonic cartoons except Underground to some extent, but if they stick the landing with this one then it seems like it'll pretty easily be the best one. I guess it's kinda lame that they made Sonic say "gotta go fast" in the trailer, but idk, it's a modern Sonic project, they gotta pay the obligatory lame meme toll. I am mostly fixated on Rouge because she's one of my favorite characters and her being on the main team is somehow the biggest curveball this show's previews have thrown so far, like seriously what.

Nine Discovers the SCU

Nine has decided that he’s gonna go home now. Unfortunately, somewhere he takes a wrong turn and ends up in the front yard of the Wachowskis. Tom, who was in the middle of weed whacking, is staring at the ship that has now landed in his yard with the most confused and shocked look.

Nine realizes he has now killed this poor guys lawn and feels bad. He exits his ship to apologize to Tom before he starts getting aggressive. Tom is even more baffled seeing Nine. He looks a lot like Tails, but less fluffy, more scruffy, a bit taller, wearing clothes, and his ears are tinted orange towards the tips with lil fluffs of fur.

“Tails??“ Tom says, approaching Nine who backs up. Nine is no longer angry being called Tails, he’s used to it now “I’m not Tails. The name’s Nine.”

“Tom, nice to meet you.” Tom wonders if this is one of his sons alternate universe friends that he hasn’t met or heard of yet. Tom puts away his weed whacker “are you a friend of my sons? My youngest has picked up a hobby of.. universe hopping I think he calls it?” Tom asks. Nine shakes his head “I haven’t been to this universe yet. I don’t know who you or your sons are.” he says bluntly.

Suddenly, a blue hedgehog appears in the window of the living room “DAAAAD MOM WANTS TO KNOW IF- who’s that?” Sonics face is pressed up against the screen of the window. He disappears back into the house and comes out the door with Tails and Knuckles. Tails is immediately attracted to the ship in his yard like a moth to a lämp. Knuckles is giving Nine a puzzled look. It’s like he can smell the loneliness in this kid. Sonic remembers his task “oh yea, dad, mom wants to know if you wanted potatoes or carrots for dinner.” Sonic asks looking at his father. Tom thinks for a second “tell her that potatoes are good.” Sonic rushes off to pass the message and the news of a new arrival and returns to his dad and brothers.

Nine blinks “..this Sonic has parents? What’s next, does he have siblings too?” Tails and Knuckles turn to face Nine then look at each other. Nine’s eyes widen “no way..”

“YEAH WAY!” Sonic pops up between his brothers and slings his arms around their shoulders to pull them close to him. Nine is baffled. “Why would.. yknow what I’m not gonna ask.”

Tails looks confused “do you.. not consider your Sonic family?” Nine snickers “pff- no! I barely know him. He’s the closest thing to a friend I’ve got, though.. and my sonic? As far as I’m concerned he isn’t even MY Sonic. I don’t know if my universe has one!” Nine takes some deep breaths.

Nine is frustrated.. why do these alternate versions of him get to have friends and family, and he doesn’t? What has he done to deserve to be so alone? To face the pain and turmoil of his reality alone?

“Are you alright, other Tails?” Knuckles gives Nine a concerned look. Nine’s frustration breaks out a little “IM NOT TAILS, MY NAME IS NINE!” He shows off his nine tails which makes the others back up. Knuckles doesn’t want to fight him, but he positions himself in front of his brothers.

Tom crouches to Nine’s height “hey.. hey, bud sorry we upset you.. deep breaths.” Nine takes deep breathes “Im..sorry. It’s been a long day.. week? I have no idea how long it’s been..”

Sonic gasps “oh then no wonder you’re upset, Nine! You must be hungry. You should join us for dinner!”

Nine looks at him. He’s being invited to dinner? He shouldn’t..

But he did! He’s now at the dinner table. As soon as he takes that first bite, it’s obvious that this poor kid was hungry.

“So, Nine where do you come from?” Maddie starts.

“I came from what can be best described as a toxic wasteland ruled by the Chaos Council, which according to another Sonic I met, essentially consists of 5 Eggman..Eggmen? Whatever. It sucks, and there’s no blue skies, no palm trees, no ocean, no green, nothing. Just a bunch of miserable lonely people who either fight, die, or die fighting. Then one day a blue hedgehog broke into my house and called me Tails and I tried to kill him. That’s about it for where I’m from.” Nine lays down his fork.

The others process. Nine continues “oh and I found out that my Sonic might not even be my Sonic. And I don’t even know where he is, he keeps running fast enough to warp somewhere? For all I know, he’s in the void.”

“I’ve never run that fast, that’s kinda cool!” Sonic is trying to see light in the situation. Then Tom reminds him “you caused a blackout across the continent.” which makes him frown.

“Question. What is that?” Nine points to Ozzie who’s begging for food. Tails laughs “that’s Ozzie! That’s what dogs look like here on Earth!” “Oh.” Nine notes that. Odd dog creature.

Knuckles clears his throat “have you met another me?” Nine snorts “you’re the 4th Knuckles I’ve met. The others are fighting for freedom, dumb as a rock, one telling me it’s ok to want others in my life, and then there’s you.” Knuckles nods then chuckles “I think I have met the dumb one. He’s a good guy.”

Nine looks at him “you have?”

Sonic responds “yea! His Tails and our Tails mess with the multiverse sometimes.. though I think other Tails had his gun taken away from him because he kept risking the collapse of the universe?”

Nine blinks “oh..” Tails laughs “it’s universal!”

Soon, Tails is showing Nine his Pokémon cards in the attic. Nine is very confused, but he’s trying his best to understand.

Tails notices Nine is looking down. “Are you ok? Sorry I’m rambling..” Tails puts his hand on Nine’s shoulder. Nine shakes his head “no, it’s ok.. I’m.. I’m glad you have something you like..” vs

“Do you not have anything you like?”

“I like to invent. That’s it. What is there more to like? There’s nowhere to pursue any kind of hobby. Can’t even hang out with friends because I don’t have any.” Nine says starting to let out his stress again “every single universe I’ve went to, you’ve had Sonic. Every single universe I’ve went to, you get to have friends and be happy. Do I.. not deserve that? Why was I the only one cursed to suffer with no one?! I haven’t even seen an ocean or trees or stars until today! Sonic is the closest thing I have to a friend and I’m gonna have to say goodbye to him.” Nine starts to tear up.

“Nine..” Tails starts

“I don’t even know why he bothers with me! He’s already got him. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great that in some reality I get to be happy, but.. I just wish I had the chance to achieve it with or without that stupid hedgehog. Heck.. why am I so wrapped around someone I barley know?! It’s like I’ve known him for years! Which is very trippy AND I HATE IT.” Nine holds his face in his hands as Tails gently wraps his arms around him.

“Nine.. listen to me.” Tails begins “You still have many chances to be happy. You still have so much of your life left. If you want things to change, be that change you want to see. Everyone has bad days and rough times, but I think it helps to know that even if they’re rough, things are gonna get better someday.”

Nine takes it in for a moment then clings to Tails and sobs into his shoulder. Years of anguish and sadness and loneliness comes out in streams of tears. Tails starts to cry with him.

They cry with each other for a little while before pulling away to wipe the tears away. “Maybe it’s just in our nature to have a speedy blue hedgehog as a best friend. He changed both of our lives. Let’s make that change worthwhile, ok?” Tails smiles at Nine who smiles back “ok! Thanks Tails..”

“it’s no problem! And hey, maybe I should make myself a set of those cool extra tails you have!”

“You should!”

“NO” they hear Sonic shouting from somewhere in the house. The two laugh.

Tails is very briefly allowed to check out the ship before Nine heads out. Maddie gives him leftover food and some bottles of water for his travels.

Time to go home.

The Central rotor of The TARDIS console churned quietly, the engines wheezing and groaning as the Police Box dragged its way through the vortex, speed slow and casual as the lights in the console remained faded. There was a faint illumination in the back of the console room, and there in the chair sat 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒐𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓. his face was sunken and neutral, perpetually. He was lounging in the chair quietly, a book opened quietly. Something he was thumbing through absentmindedly. 

Eventually, he shut it, reading the title. "I wonder what was so restricted about you?" He hummed quietly before resting the book on the table right near the armrest of the chair. He watched the TARDIS rotor sink up and down slowly, rubbing at the bridge of his nose before eventually standing up and walking toward it. On the rack hung a weathered blue cotton coat, whilst The Doctor works a brown waistcoat and a ruffled white shirt, patterned tie wrapped underneath the collar. Right now, his sleeves were rolled up which showcased a piece of purple cloth wrapped around his right hand. His trousers were a dull green, and he wore knee-high laced brown boots. 

Quietly, he began to set coordinates into the TARDIS console. "Right, old girl... I think we've had enough silence for a little bit, haven't we?" He talked aloud to the ship, before suddenly it beeped, as if some cosmic coincidence had triggered a well-time reply from the ship. Reaching up, The Doctor pulled on a chain connected to the bottom of the TARDIS monitor, which was connected to a scissor arm on the ceiling. "The temporal collision alarm? But I thought I disabled that ages ago. It never went off—" The TARDIS suddenly rocked, sparks and flames shooting out from the console as the ship roared in reply to having struck something in the vortex.

"Easy now, old girl! Easy!" The Doctor moved to try and do some type of damage control as he flicked a variety of switches and levers, throwing one switch all the way to the side as the console began to slow down. "Either the TARDIS is having a very big stomach bug, or we've just hit something in the vortex—" The Doctor suddenly yelped when the TARDIS rocked again and more sparks shot out from the top of the console and the nearby controls on his side. The Doctor reached for an emergency lever.

"Right! I've got no choice but to put us down somewhere!" He dragged the emergency lever down, and the TARDIS engines began to land as The Doctor watched various signs of extreme damage or stress on the console cease altogether. No more sparks, no more flames. Once the engine stopped, The TARDIS released a hiss across its console that indicated it would need some time to rest. The Doctor began to circle the TARDIS console, knowing he'd need to fetch his Sonic Screwdriver from his jacket to scan the damage— but he stopped when he circled the console, revealing something that was previously obstructed from his vision.

A woman, on the TARDIS floor— picking herself up, but still seemingly coming too. The Doctor's eyes widened and shocked as they were— still balanced out by his overall numb and neutral expression. "...Ah." He hummed.

"So, it was you we hit in the vortex."

Sonic Prime - Shadow's Variants

Hi,

I've seen a few YT videos about how Prime deconstructs characters, and how they are divided into three bodies/personalities. And it made me thinking if it's a reason why Shadow isn't part of these worlds too.

It's obvious he has to help Sonic fix this mess, but what if it "was too hard" to divide Shadow into three personalities? Given his popularity, it's kinda easy to see this being partly a reason. I wonder if they had any early plans for this to happen. Would be cool to know.

And so I brainstormed a bit and got to these three Shadow's variants.

New Yoke Shadow - Black Wind

He would be a ruthless bounty hunter/hired gun working for whoever offered more money. He wouldn't care if he backstabbed his employer if the target offered something more interesting. His combat skills would include various firearms (handguns and sniper guns are his favorite), but he would be able to go toe to toe with his targets in hand-to-hand combat too.

And for some reason, he would have a personal favorite gun named Maria. Either to be an Easter Egg or to remember the only person who ever showed him love during his childhood. He would now be 35-40 years old so that love would be long buried after all the pain and brutal world around him.

Aside from it, his ace would be his mechanical legs, allowing him to move fast. And this speed would earn him his name "Black Wind" since he would turn into a black blur before assassinating his targets. And of course, he would get hired to get rid of or capture Sonic.

And while Shadow is fast, Sonic would be much faster. That and combining it with Sonic's no-kill policy would create a big emotional scar. First, remembering Maria's kindness and second, the feeling of shame he allowed his pray to win and to pity him.

After that Shadow would go after Sonic, trying to regain his pride and reputation as a flawless hunter. However, he would fail time and time again, witnessing Sonic putting himself in danger to help others. All of this would result in Shadow regaining a bit of the kindness he had as a child. And to his shock, he would find himself pushing Sonic out of harm's way.

This world would emphasize his cold-heart and ruthless nature. In the games and comics, we could see he was willing to take one's life for the greater good. But here, he cares only for himself.

Boscage Maze Shadow - Black Beast

Here, Shadow is reduced to a feral beast from hushed stories. Unlike others, he doesn't talk and acts based on instinct. His form would remind you of a bit rougher werehog, but with a long tail and more claws.

Shadow wouldn't be malicious, but territorial and aggressive. His meeting with Sonic would be only about hunting to eat. And while others would vary of him, calling him the worst monster of the forest, Sonic wouldn't let them hurt him.

And while Shadow wouldn't be considered intelligent, he is smart enough to understand Sonic isn't an enemy. It would spark curiosity and open his heart a bit. I imagine him being Thorn's Flicky-level smart. This Shadow would fight by Sonic's side, but would treat others like an annoyance he doesn't want to deal with but do so for Sonic.

This Shadow would bring out Shadow's powers and his fear of going feral/savage if not controlled. He would be missing the Inhibitors to regulate his Chaos energy. The only way to keep living would be to hunt a huge number of animals (the excessive energy would be slowly eating him from the inside, and enough nutrition was the only thing to keep it from speeding too much). We can also say this form would bring out his Black Arms DNA if that is canon in Prime.

No Place Shadow - Black Blade

There is a bit of a joke about how Captain Shadow (Sonic Dash) would be perfect for No Place. And as fun as it sounds, I think Shadow would be an Admiral working for a government to catch pirates. He would have a couple of ships in his arsenal, each having dozens of men. But he would mainly use Maria's Wish (both the fastest and strongest of his ships).

His goal would be to catch every last pirate and make sure no new ones would arrive, fearing him. His biggest target and thorn in his quills would be daring Dread. The only pirate who escaped him in the past and who gave him a scar over his eye. Shadow in return made Dread one tooth lighter XD

The nickname Black Blade would come from Shadow's love of using a sword made of black steel. Also, his ships would be "decorated" in black and red colors and would have black steel blades in place of a figurehead and down the beak. His style would be ramming the pirate's ships and making holes in them.

Shadow would meet Sonic on Dread's ship, considering him one of the crew. But Shadow's speed would be greatly reduced, so Sonic would have no problem fighting him. But this Shadow is also crafty, using items and environment to his advantage (like using a rope to limit Sonic's movements), but without dirty tricks.

I can imagine this Shadow changing his opinion about Sonic (at least) during a fight in the middle of a storm. Shadow's ship would be equipped with giant crossbows, allowing him to hook ships at a greater distance. Shadow's specialty would be running across the rope while his crew would try to get Maria's Wish closer.

So, while his speed would drop down compared to the original Shadow, his reaction time, sense of balance, and nimbleness would make up for it. Dark clouds would cover them and a big thunderstorm would make everything worse.

Shadow would fall over the ledge into the water during the fight on Dread's ship. He would struggle but still composed to keep calm. That's when Sonic would run to him, saving him from being hit by a falling barrel, and getting him back to Maria's Wish.

Shadow's crew would be quick to surround Sonic, capturing him. Meanwhile, Dread's ship would get further away (either due to the weather or by Dread's command), leaving Sonic on Shadow's ship. And while Shadow wants to pursue Dread, his ship is damaged and he values his crew enough to not throw their lives in vain. So he orders them to retreat, cutting the ropes before their ships slam into each other.

Sonic would later alter Shadow's view of pirates and showed him no rule or law is worth keeping it if means hurting your friends.

This version would strengthen Shadow's sense of justice and doing everything for the greater good. That would make Shadow ignore his personal feelings and desires. And in his fights, he would follow a strict honor code, allowing pirates to live if they give up, but killing them if they resist.

Ooh I know this is a big ask, but I wonder if you could make a post in the style of my Batraculous post with the other Science kids beside Marc, Kagami and Luka as Bat-Heroes? Also the Recess and Theatre kids. Make sure that when you put them into Chat GPT to mention their personalities. If you could do their bat-hero names (Like the (Insert name here) Bat), what their batsuits and capes look like, gadgets they use, and how they fight crime around the city of Paris? You can use my Batraculous post for a reference. All the 4 classes work together and visit each other's batcaves via underground tunnels. Each class has a Batcave located in the 4 corners of Paris. Her Weather Bat suit allows her to float or hover as if she’s lighter than air, and she can send powerful blasts of wind from air cannons in her gloves

Mireille Caquet (Moon Bat): Mireille focuses on stealth missions, sticking very close to the shadows before she strikes. Her Moon Bat Suit is equipped with sound-absorbing fabric to allow her to slip by anyone undetected

Zoé Lee (Punk Bat): Despite the name, Zoé is excellent at diffusing tense situations, and is an excellent negotiator for hostage situations. Her Punk Bat suit comes equipped with a studded leather jacket

Jean Duparc (Song Bat): Jean is a defensive hero, often taking on villains head on with the voice amplifier in his batsuit, which allows him to emit a sonic scream at any frequency he chooses. His batsuit, of course, is glamorous and able to distract any villains

Cosette Bellamy (Incognito Bat): Cosette takes on the underground scene in her camouflage batsuit. It comes equipped with a hologram-like mask which they can use to gain the trust of criminals before launching a sneak attack with their arsenal

Denise Cabello (Buff Bat): Denise is the physically strongest member of the team and handles all of the heavy lifting during missions. Their suit comes equipped with shock-absorption and bullet-proof fabric, making them one formidable opponent

Simon O’Connor (Techno Bat): Simon is a hacking genius, often hacking into the city’s security footage to keep a look out for any suspicious activity. His suit comes equipped with a holographic tablet he can use to access any piece of tech, get past security systems, and more. Much more

Ismael Prisk (Magic Bat): Ismael as Magic Bat is a force to be reckoned with and he uses his talents in illusions to cause confusion to any criminal. His suit comes equipped with his skateboard strapped to his back, allowing him to get to places quicker

Reshma Leghari (Gem Bat): Reshma, despite her calm demeanor, is not someone you want to mess with. She often handles robbers. Her bat suit comes equipped with pellets that, when thrown, grow into massive crystal stalagmites within a matter of seconds

Lacey Greene (Parkour Bat): Lacey is the most physically active on the team. She’s incredibly fast even without her suit, but it still gives her a boost, and makes her fast enough to catch up with a speeding sports car. The suit also enhances her agility and the boots allow her to walk on walls

Ondine Philippe (Swimmer Bat): Ondine handles all water-based missions, often stopping people from dumping oil and killing whales for ambergris. Her suit comes with a long-lasting supply of oxygen and can handle the pressures of the ocean floor, so she can stay down there as long as she wants without problems

Zoé's Batsuit: Imagine the Batman version of Spider-Punk. Zoe's suit is black with some hints of yellow. Her sleek suit is reminiscent of a motorcycle suit with graffiti on the pant legs. Her long leather has silver studs on the shoulders and a pink bat emblem on the back, and her utility belt comes equipped with a grappling hook, brass knuckles, and a tracking device in case her motorcycle gets hijacked

Jean's Batsuit: Jean's suit is dramatic, almost reminiscent of the Phantom of the Opera, fancy hat and all. His suit is a deep purple with hints of white and has a skull with bat wings emblem on his chest. His belt is equipped with a quill that can shoot small but powerful tranquilizers and a device that's able to throw his voice and confuse villains, or it can amplify his voice and leave ears ringing

Cosette's Batsuit: Cosette's suit is dark magenta with a black bat emblem on the chest, and their utility belt comes with a tranquilizer gun, grappling hook, and a cyber mask, that when put on and activated, drastically changes their appearance. Her mask covers her mouth and comes equipped with a voice changer. Like Mireille's, their cape functions as an invisibility cloak

Denise's Batsuit: Denise's suit is reinforced with Kevlar, showcasing their strength and durability. Their suit is a deep pink with a black bat emblem on their chest, comes equipped with weighted gloves that can really knock someone out, and their utility belt contains lightweight, hand-sized spheres. But, when thrown by and activated by Denise, they instantly weigh over fifty pounds. Their cape is weighted and can only be worn by either them, Ivan, or Kim

Simon's Batsuit: A high-tech suit colored a forest green with hints of black, and a circuit-board bat emblem on their chest. Their utility belt comes with several tracking chips, all linked to their arm wristlet which can display holograms of maps, records, etc. His cape acts as a literal firewall, preventing anyone from hacking into his high-tech equipment

Ismael's Batsuit: Its design makes his suit look almost like Tuxedo Mask with a fancy black bat emblem on the chest. His utility belt contains smoke bombs, sleeping powder, and dagger-like playing cards. His cape acts as an invisibility cloak, which is perfect for dramatic exits

Reshma's Batsuit: A sleek, lightweight, bright magenta suit that works with her agility, and has a diamond bat emblem. Her suit comes equipped with diamond earrings that act as earpieces, and diamond cuff bracelets to block any shots, and they're sharp enough to cut through almost anything. Her belt comes with her crystal pellets, lipstick taser, and chloroform in a small perfume bottle

Lacey's Batsuit: A sleek, reinforced, and lightweight suit to make running and parkour much easier. Lacey's suit is mint green with a white bat emblem on the chest. Her cape has built-in wings in case she doesn't make a jump (Which is very rare) Her boots allow her to walk and run on any surface, and come with grips so that she can scale walls

Ondine's Batsuit is similar to a wet suit, sleek and purple in color with a green bat emblem on her chest. Her mask is hooked up to a small but long-lasting oxygen tank built into her suit, and the vision settings adjust the further she goes underwater. Her belt is equipped with a GPS so she can see what part of the ocean she's in, and harmless tranquilizers just in case she comes across a predatory fish

Base Rooms

The secret basement of the Leghari estate is used as their home base

-The Main Control Room: The main center of the Batcave, equipped with all sorts of holographic displays that track criminal activity, show maps of the city, and there's a massive touchscreen display that sort of controls the whole room. This is where Aurore organizes each mission, and it's constantly upgrading thanks to Simon

-Garage: A garage filled with all sorts of customized vehicles, catered to each team member's preferences

-Armory: Denise and Zoé keep the room stocked with all sorts of different weapons from non-lethal to very-lethal.

-The Lab: A highly advance lab where Simon and Aurore work on creating and modifying gadgets. There are several super computers, chemistry sets, 3D printers, smartboards, indestrctible practice dummies, and more

-Training Room: A massive gym with work-out equipment, climbing walls, training simulations, a range to practice their aim with grappling hooks and tranquilizer guns, and a martial arts dojo

-Archives: A storage room where they keep records on the city, criminals, cold cases, etc. It's primarily digital and often frequented by Simon, Marc, and Cosette

-The Infirmary: Often frequented by Ismael and Lacey. Jean, Marc, and Mireille oversee the medical bay equipped with all sorts of advanced medical technology and supplies. Simon is in the works of creating a healing pod to heal any internal damage in a matter of three minutes

-The Lounge: A comfortable space for the team to relax, watch movies, and grab something from the kitchen. It's also where the couples like to make out, especially Denise and Simon

Vehicles

-The Bat Chopper: A helicopter used by Aurore and Mireille to keep tabs on high-speed chases. There's an auto-pilot setting for when they need to hurry down to the action, and on their command, a rope ladder will drop down

-The Batcycle: A sleek motorcycle used by Zoé that can move swiftly through any crowd. The batcycle also doubles as a hoverbike, allowing her to patrol from the rooftops as well

-The Bat Board: Ismael's customized skateboard, used by him for patrols and surveillance. There are motion sensors on the wheels that can detect if he's being followed by lighting up

-The Bat Truck: A reinforced, off-road vehicle used for even the harshest terrains. Denise operates the Bat Truck and its arsenal of built-in weapons

-The Batmobile: A sleek, armored sports car, frequently driven by Reshma and Jean. The Batmobile comes equipped with a state-of-the-art navigation system, auto-pilot, and it can be driven through a setting on one of Reshma and Jean's tech bracelets. The batmobile is also equipped with a grappling hook to easily tail criminals

-The Bat Board 2: Cosette and Lacey's custom hoverboards, which allows them to move swiftly and easily through the crowded streets or on rooftops to chase down criminals

-The Bat Scooter: Simon's electric scooter, equipped with a tracker, motion sensors, and can easily collapse into a staff for him to use as a weapon

Night in Paris

Weather Bat: Close to the crack of dawn, she does a quick patrol route when she spots a masked robber making their way out of a bank with a bag full of valuables. She makes her descent, going undetected with her parasol before pouncing on the robber, tying them up, and leaving them for the bank manager to find and call the police on

Moon Bat: Right at midnight, Moon Bat finds a few art thieves sneaking into a museum. She manages to go unnoticed as she apprehends each of them one by one before they can make off with any priceless art pieces

Punk Bat: Was at a rock concert when he spotted this one girl being harassed by some older men. He whipped out his brass knuckles and scared the men off, then continued to survey the crowd from above on the rafters

Song Bat: With their confidence and love of the theater, they engage a few at-risk youths to try out community theater and put them on a more positive path

Incognito Bat: Disguised themself as a child and went undercover at an orphanage when the number of children's hospital patients seemed to rise up. What she found were the adults physically harming the children and paying no mind to their safety, and she wasted no time apprehending them and calling the police

Buff Bat: Provided muscle for the residents at a women's shelter when a few incels decided to cause trouble and protest. They only got physical when this one guy threw a brick, and none of the protesters were safe

Techno Bat: Used his hacking skills to invesitgate a series of cybercrimes throughout the city, and successfully stopped a team of hackers from stealing millions in euros

Magic Bat: Often entertains the kids in poorer neighborhoods with his tricks, teaches them how to skateboard, and shows a few self-defense moves

Gem Bat: While on patrol one night, she spotted two guys chasing after a woman. She wasted no time swooping in and knocking the two of them out with her chloroform. She kept their info just in case and then escorted the woman back to her home

Parkour Bat: Charged head first into a burning building a quickly got everyone out and outside with no casualties

Swimmer Bat: Prevented the fracking of the city's water supply, and successfully got the business responsible to be shut down for all sorts of environmental crimes

This took a while to come up with a type out, so expect the Recess Class and Theater Kids a little while later

Random Sonic Headcanons Because Why Not

Lots of funny fluffy angst stuff coming your way! It's a big list so it's all under the cut. (Also Frontiers spoilers)

Amy is better at video games than Sonic. It hurts his pride every time someone brings it up. (usually Tails)

Tails' mint obsession was actually Sonic's fault. A few weeks after they first met, Sonic stole bought some mint candies for Tails since he never had candy before. The moment the mint entered his mouth, it was all over. Now every twice a week Tails is only allowed to have a small amount of mints.

Sonic plays the guitar since he was younger, but it's been a while since he played it. His favorite memory with it though was when Amy caught him playing it and wanted him to teach her how to play. So Amy plays the acoustic guitar thanks to the blue hedgehog.

Since Frontiers had a day and night cycle, I believe the real time the event of the game took for Sonic was about a week. (This hedgehog needs a nap.)

Shadow's pet Dark Chao is named Midnight. (Same name of my Dark Chao plush that I got for Christmas XD)

Sonic technically lives in Tails' Workshop. There's another room upstairs where he keeps his stuff and there's a racecar bed that Tails made for him he was a kit.

The White Boost Wisp's name is Yacker, but we never heard the Jade Ghost Wisp's name, but Sonic and Tails calls her by Jade. I believe that her name would be Spirit.

Amy summons her hammer by snapping her fingers, and it will just poof right next to her. (Sounds dumb I know but I thought that would be cool)

Cream actually wants to own her own hammer so she can be like Amy some day.

Sonic having no chest fluff doesn't bother him that much (in this house we love and support Trans Sonic) but sometimes he wondered what he would look like with some. But at the end of the day, Sonic loves himself, chest fluff or no chest fluff.

Omega goes by He/They because they said so.

Oh, and so does Shadow.

I am extremely sorry for this but the IDW comics are not in the same timeline-

BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN I WASN'T EXCITED TO HEAR SONIC MENTION TANGLE'S NAME IN FRONTIERS.

Sonic and Tangle met each other post Forces while town residences and Sonic's team helped cleaned up the town from broken Badniks.

Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy were just having a stroll after the events of Team Sonic Racing to catch a break when suddenly Amy was snatched into the bushes. Sonic tells Tails and Knuckles to stand by in case Eggman is nearby and Sonic goes into the forest to find Amy. Eventually, Sonic came across a burrow and figured Amy could be in there. But when he took another step, his foot triggered a trap and a net landed right on Sonic. Amy and an orange and brown badger came outside to see Sonic struggling to break free of the net. He was relieved to see Amy was alright but asked who that badger is next to her. She introduced herself as Sticks, and she was just having a nice interview with Amy when they heard commotion outside. Turns out she's pretty big fan of Sonic, especially Amy, and she wanted to be their friend. Amy thought she's adorable, but Sonic thought she was kind of suspicious, but they're cool. That's how they met Sticks since Amy also mentioned her in Frontiers. (Which shocked me btw)

Knuckles was pretty surprised when he found out that Rouge took over watching the Master Emerald instead of stealing it during his absence. When he asked why that is, she responded saying that stealing it was way too easy and not as fun without him. Plus, she missed him, which shocks Knuckles more. (At that point, he kinda caught some feelings for her XD)

Sonic still has his Soap shoes and wears this sometimes. They remind him of Shadow because the first few times he wore them was when he first met Shadow.

I am also extremely sorry for this but I think Prime took place before Forces. I will not elaborate further you will have to figure that out yourself.

Sonic is afraid of water because of a fuzzy/early memory of seeing robots for the first time at a really young age. Him and his mother were visiting the beaches of South Island for the first time when suddenly weird looking robotic figures ambushed them. They both fell off this cliff trying to escape and the last thing Sonic could hear was a strangely familiar maniacal laugh. Sonic fell into the water along with his mom. He tried to swim back up to the surface but he was beginning to black out. Soon he woke up on the surface completely unscathed. He realized that someone was missing and looked around for his mother. Then, he looked right at the ocean he somehow came out of. If he's the only one on the surface, that meant...

Meanwhile, a sparkling red aura was above the sky watching the scene unfold. "I'm sorry. I've done all I could..." The young voice whispered before it flies away.

Sonic cries when he stubs his toe. As the fastest thing alive, that will hurt like hell.

Tails is the only person who knows about Sonic's middle name, Maurice. (Thanks Sonic Prime description)

Sonic and Tails have weekly movie nights. On occasions they have guests with them, usually Amy, or Knuckles, or maybe Shadow if he felt like it.

Sonic decided to take care of the Workshop while Tails, Knuckles and Amy are away for a few days after Frontiers.

After everything that happened in Frontiers and whatever the hell he just been through while he was corrupted, Sonic would have some intense nightmares, causing him to not get any rest. He needed some comfort deep down, but his friends are away for a while so that won't be for a while. He tried so hard not to feel selfish or want to be in the way of their adventures, but he wished that his friends will come back.

When they do come back, Sonic gave them the biggest hug he has ever gave to anyone. It may be only days, but to Sonic, it felt like forever. He's just happy to see them again, and so was Tails, Knuckles and Amy.

On occasions when Sonic gets a cold, he has interesting dreams that were related to fairytale stories. He thought those were some wicked dreams and he thought Shadow as Lancelot was the best part.

Sonic loves to sing, but only when he's either by himself or with Tails and Knuckles, since they're the only people who knew about his singing voice.

Sometimes Amy tricks Sonic into going for a swim, just so she can teach him how to. It usually ends with Sonic running away.

Sonic is bi because come on, how is it not so obvious to you?

Rouge and Omega share the same apartment. How the building allows a giant robot in the apartment is beyond your imagination.

And that's all I got right now. Hopefully more ideas will pop up eventually since I can only think of so many headcanons, but there will be more soon.
