Sometimes, I'm sad about the hobbies I have abandoned or have been too intimidated to pick up. But... what good is it, to just beat myself up over that? My bass is sitting in the corner, patiently waiting, and so is everything else. My life isn't over, and I've got nothing to answer to. I'm wading through a sea of time, and I'll pick up the seashells that interest me, and it's okay to put one back in the sand. The current's waves will bring it back to me if that is to be destiny. I can not hate myself into productivity, so I must swim on.
I think the same can apply to anybody. It's okay if you have dropped something, such as a hobby or passion. Human beings are like that sometimes, it isn't reasonable for you to beat yourself into submission. You, too, can not hate yourself into being a well-rounded person. You must cultivate it like you would a garden - with patience, time, and care.

i understand the intent of fic being like “kerry eurodyne? 89 year old globally famous rockerboy?! He doesn’t have a mr. Studd” like i get it the implication that he’s down to earth and not like lizzy wizzy and humanity vs machine blah blah blah but can you imagine the length of his fucking ball sack. how am i supposed to mentally reconcile this. he doesn’t get a mr. Studd but he does have to go in for monthly cyber-botox for his balls? they’re absolutely smooth no wrinkles.

Blue’s 10/10 Challenge: Part 10
Date: November 29th 2023
COLD COLD COLD
It was -7 degrees celsius, -13 with the wind but I ran by the water dam today and, no joke, it felt like I was in the freezer and then opened the door to a colder freezer. I have no doubt that it was closer to -15 or -16 by the river.

Funny little story. While I was running I ran past another jogger. He was jogging very slowly which, smart because you shouldn’t push yourself in the cold. We gave each other the typical runner’s wave and I continued on my way. Anyways, when I looped around and came back up the path I ended up catching up to him. No biggie.
Until I see this guy pull up behind me and then next to me. Again, not an issue. Usually when I come across another runner, depending on pace, I either keep my distance behind them or pass them. I assumed the same case.
Anyways so now this guy is running beside me for maybe 100 or 200 meters and I’m wondering if I should speed up or slow down until he starts like, huffing and puffing really loudly to the point that he’s shouting (think of those gym bros that yell when they do a big lift). This guy is trying to either race me or keep up with me which he can’t do either of, especially in the cold.
Anyways I was amused and kept my pace knowing full well that with the hill coming up I’d lose him. And that is exactly what happened. I’m pretty sure he’s new to running because a more experienced runner would stick to their pace ahaha.
Tldr: Got into an unexpected race and won.

1_Enhancing Physical Performance
According to studies, faster-paced music tends to help improve athletic performance when a person engages in low-to-moderate level exercise, either by increasing distance traveled, pace, or repetitions completed. For example, in a 2006 study on the effect of music on treadmill speed selection, participants increased their pace and distance traveled while listening to fast-paced music without becoming more tired. Other studies have reached similar conclusions, indicating that listening to music with higher beats per minute can improve physical performance during low-to-moderate level exercise.
2_Psychological Effect

My left shoulder is so much weaker than my right shoulder that it’s borderline ridiculous 😭😭😭
