-> Episode One & Two; Aria focus

a/n: im not going to write out some of the bits in the show where aria isn’t hugely present, so if you havent watched nct world yet, A: i highly recommend u do its the best thing ever and B: you might be a little confused from all the time skips :)

Attention! We present to you, the 24 NCT members!

Aria appeared partially from behind one of the pillars, sticking her head out and letting her hair swing from the ponytail it was pulled up into. She had her face schooled into a searching expression - eyes wide - before she jumped out from behind the pillar and let her face break into a smile.

Aria waved with both hands, twirling around once to show off the champagne colored shirt dress she wore. With the cropped pink V-neck sweater donned on top of the light material, she looked the epitome of comfort; the only contrast being the black boots Aria wore on her feet to match her newly darkened hair.

While the cube lights flickered through various shades of green, spelling out ‘NCT’ in their flashing lights, it was revealed that she was on the lowest level of the three stories - her individual cube located in between Hendery’s and Jaemin’s on the left side.

The worldwide idol group, NCT.

All 24 members, will be travelling through time and space.

Their multiverse journey begins now.. Not only time, space, and chaos, but past, and future! Aren’t you dying to find out about the NCT members’ journey through them all?

Keep your eyes wide open.

Aria leant forwards towards the camera that was positioned in the upper hand of her cube, squinting slightly before she realized that the red blinking light belonged to the recording device suspended on the wall.

She proceeded to crouch down, bringing her hands together in front of her and extending her fingers into a small gun, looking all-too-cuddly to be intimidating. Her thin dress fluttered down around her, barely brushing the floor, but her boots made a small squeak to protest the movement.

With a small pew she flicked her fingers up to mimic a gun shooting before bursting out into embarrassed laughter at her own actions, standing up while brushing the dust off her knees.

Welcome members! I’m Super Human, and I rule the multiverse. This is a condensed place, of every time and place since April 15th, 2016, to the present in 2020. In other words, you’re stuck in a hurricane of time and space.

To escape this space, you must clear 24 missions. If you want to escape, you have to try your best in these missions.

“Ah,” Aria sighed, looking at the black box in front of her from her chair. The green question mark on the lid was bright and loud, almost mocking her. “I’m scared.”

She checked over on Jisung, leaning out of her cube, who had a similar face to hers only he was staring ahead and not at the ominous black box in front of her.

“Jisungie,” Aria leant over and out of her box to call down to the younger boy, twisting her legs around to sit sideways on the chair so she could face him properly. “You know, you’ll probably face the first mission because you’re in the first cube~” She teased.

Jisung sent her a withering look, a mix between a low grumble and a petulant whine coming out of his throat. “Noona! No!”

Aria only raised her eyebrows at him, before turning back to the front.

I will now call out the first member who will do a mission.

NCT’s youngest member, Jisung!

Aria threw her head back in a laugh with a clap of her hands before she looked over to Jisung’s hunched form. He had buried his face in his hands momentarily, only peeking back out at the rallying cries of his hyungs.

“Whoo! Go Jisung!” Aria joined in, making sure to cup her hands around her mouth to ensure her voice was heard over the other boys yelling.

Jisung was called out to slide open the lid of his mystery box, and he did so with slightly reddened cheeks and a lip worried between teeth. He removed the lid gently before placing it down on the ground to the side, revealing two unfamiliar objects.

Pulling them out with careful hands, Aria felt her heart sink into her stomach.

There went her plans of escaping for an early night’s sleep.

Upon watching the demonstration video, she could hear the teasing remarks coming from their fellow dream members, even Jisung himself muttering that this was bad, bad indeed.

Jisung set the drone on the floor after moving the box and its corresponding lid a safe distance away, before beginning his foolproof method of getting the drone to switch on - sans instructions:

Press every single button, and hope it did something useful.

Aria leant back towards Hendery in her chair. “You know, Jisungie is really bad at things like this.” She explained, Hendery leaning forward to better hear her.

“Oh yeah?”

Aria nodded. “He types like-” she made a motion of pressing keys with only her index fingers.

Aria let out a breath, before settling back into her chair more comfortably. “Ah, we’re going to be here a while.”

Aria slid out of her chair to make her way over to Yangyang where the boy was standing back, head tilted, staring down his table covered with the red cloth. Bending down, she picked up one of the candles that had come loose from the candelabra, slotting it in while Yuta and Sicheng moved to pick up the other utensils that had slid from the table.

Setting the table up again, now with Jisung and Johnny’s help as well, Aria stood back to let Yangyang pull the red cloth out from underneath everything stacked on top.

Yuta rest his hand on the back of his neck, before stepping away as well. Yangyang took a deep breath, schooling his nerves before raising his arms and pulling the tablecloth with all his might.

The candles, two chalices and bowl came crashing to the ground again. A resounding sound of pity came from all the members, and Yangyang stomped his foot slightly, lips pressed together.

“It’s okay! Here, maybe try putting everything in the one bowl, that might help.” Aria came in from the sidelines, hands reaching out to collect the plastic food from Johnny’s clutches and tossed it back into the bowl before the other objects were stacked on top.

Yuta made the motions of having a big arc before pulling out the red cloth, and Yangyang followed his directive - yanking both the cloth and all of the place decorations off in one fell swoop. One of the chalices hit his leg, and he yelped slightly, lifting his leg into the air to prevent further damage to his shin.

“Maybe try bending down?” Aria offered, crouching in a demonstration.

Yangyang bent in front of the table, before shaking his head and standing back up - looking more and more defeated with each passing failed attempt. “No, no this isn’t it.”

Taking a steadying breath he pulled out the cloth again, this time only the candelabra falling off the table.

“Oh! That was close!” Aria cheered, fist bumping the air minutely. Her tiny cheer was heard by Yuta who was standing close by, and he pulled her into his side in a brief side-hug, his hand bringing her head in to touch his shoulder while he smiled and cheered Yangyang on as well.

Lucas appeared from behind the black pillars coming to stand behind the pair, having come from the third floor to offer his guidance.

“Oh hey, Lucas.” Aria looked at him briefly, before doing a double take. “Lucas?”

Hendery burst out into laughter, “Lucas! Hey, what are you doing here?”

Slowly, Yangyang’s cube became crowded, with people coming down from each floor to help the boy out with what they could offer.

“Your gesture is too big! Use a small one. Like this.” Lucas demonstrated his idea by extending and then pulling his arms in sharply to his sides, all in one swift horizontal movement.

Hendery snorted quietly, “Give it a go then!” he teased.

When Lucas re-laid the red cloth over the table, Johnny was quick to set down three of the utensils on top of it, stepping back and gesturing for Lucas to make his attempt.

The boys surrounding the table laughed as Lucas set himself up, bouncing on the balls of his feet lightly before tugging the cloth out from underneath the silverware.

The knife clattered to the ground, and the boys erupted into laughter at Lucas’ embarrassed face.

Aria turned to rest her head on Jisung’s back, turning her head so her cheek was smooshed against the soft brown material. Jisung startled slightly, but adjusted his stance to accommodate for the extra weight without a word. Aria let her hands come around his waist to rest on his stomach, and Jisung placed a hand on top of hers.

He patted her arm lightly, asking a question without words, and Aria nodded - knowing that he’d feel it through the thin material.

The next mission is for Winwin. Winwin’s mission is to do five yoga poses. Do five poses for five seconds each to complete the mission.

As the five images of the poses Sicheng was meant to replicate flashed onto the screen Aria scanned them quickly, recognizing them all from her nightly routine before she went to sleep.

“Aria! Don’t you do this as well?” Donghyuck called down to her, some of the poses looking familiar to him as well.

Captions appeared across the screen:

Aria does meditation and yoga each night before she goes to sleep...

Aria nodded, looking down her floor row to Sicheng. “Yeah!” She called back, hearing the ooohs coming from various members across the floors.

Sicheng cleared the first four poses easily, moving fluidly through the motions without barely a wobble, until the final pose through a spanner in the mechanics of his otherwise flawless performance up until then.

Crouched down, Sicheng was to lean forward onto his arms and let his knees come to rest on the backs of his biceps - holding himself horizontal to the ground with only his arm strength to keep him from face planting.

Upon his first attempt he tipped forward too far, coming to rest his forehead on the cool ground before he let his legs drop and he sat back onto his knees.

“This is impossible!” He half chucked to himself, looking around to the other members with wide eyes.

Aria stood from her chair, winding behind Yuta and Yangyang’s cubes before appearing in Sicheng’s, already kneeling down so that she could help him.

“Look, look Winwin - like this.” Aria pressed her two palms a shoulder width apart on the floor, flexing her fingers momentarily before pushing herself up onto her hands.

Her legs followed suit cleanly, shifting into the pretzel-like position. Johnny’s hand extended to catch the back of her dress to make sure it didn’t flip up too far.

“Whoo hoo!” Jaehyun cheered on Aria, the other boys soon rallying on.

Coming back down, she flicked the hair out of her face before turning to face Sicheng.

“Place your hands bent in, like this,” Aria moved his hands to be angled inwards slightly, “And squeeze your triceps as hard as possible, okay?”

“Like this?” Sicheng made a small attempt at it, holding the pose for a few seconds longer than he had previously before tilting out of it.

“That’s it!” Aria encouraged.

“Let me practice it once.” Sicheng requested from the staff, and he pressed himself into the yoga pose for a moment before sitting back on his haunches with a new determined expression.

Aria graciously accepted the half-full cup of cherry juice from Jeno’s mission, descending the stairs after having collected her cup from the top floor. Moving back to her own cube, she sat down onto the chair and slid the straw between her lips after sniffing the pink liquid curiously.

Taking a small sip, she pulled the cup away to look at the juice again, before humming in delight.

“Jeno!” she called up to the still-cycling boy. “It’s good! Thank you!"

She could hear an acknowledging grunt from the aforementioned boy, and she winced, knowing that his legs were definitely burning at this point. Cycling power to blend cherry juice was a unique brand of torture - she had to hand it to the producers honestly.

Although, they could have been nicer in their selection of the chairs; the hard plastic was unforgiving as Aria shifted in her seat, her back aching from the metal bars that she leaned against. The flimsy dress did nothing to protect her legs from the hard lip of the seat, and she knew that when she stood back up she’d have two red lines imprinted on the backs of her thighs.

Aria shifted again, uncrossing her legs before crossing them the other way. The straw of the juice found it’s way back into her mouth and she pre-occupied herself by turning to start a conversation with Jaemin.

“Challenge! Accept the challenge!” Aria’s screech halted Hendery’s hands in their movements, fingertips only a centimeter away from the first domino.

He jerked backwards, pulling his hands into his chest before blurting out, “Hendery! Challenge accepted!” with a startled look on his face.

Aria settled back into her chair, letting her outstretched arms fall back to her sides as she exhaled in relief. She wasn’t sure she could sit through another eight minutes of Hendery and Yuta setting up more dominos with a straight face.

Next up is Jaemin and Aria. Open the Mystery Box!

Aria and Jaemin exchanged a curious look, bending down in tandem to the box that sat at their feet. Aria slid off her chair into a crouch in front of the black plastic box, sliding off the lid with nimble fingers and placing it upturned on the ground beside it.

Beside her, Jaemin had already lifted out what was inside his own box, and Aria let out a startled burst of laughter upon seeing what her own box contained.

A small figurine of Aria - no older than twelve - clad in her old competition dress, one leg held up behind her with her fingers clasped around the boot below the blade, and her other hand extended delicately in front of her.

Upon recognizing the small face on the figurine, Jaemin leant over to Aria.

“Is this you?” He asked, pointing to the figurine.

“Yeah,” Aria laughed, cheeks flushed slightly, and she dropped the figurine to bury her head in her hands. “Oh, why.”

This mission is split into two parts.

For Jaemin, part one: Hop on a hoverboard and follow the last spin which was a finale of Miyazu Aria’s short program in 2012.

For Aria, part two: Slide on a pair of ‘super skates’ and follow your member through a sequence of steps from your own routine - but you only have five minutes to complete this mission.

Aria’s mouth dropped open, eyebrows knitting together in mock annoyance.

“Hey!” she called out indignantly.

Yangyang was laughing at her misfortune. “It’s because you’re good at this already - no one else here has that.”

“I haven’t skated in years!”

Aria was interrupted by Superhuman’s voice.

Aria’s younger self flickered to view on the large screen, and Aria scrunched her eyes closed to help block out the hollers from the others.

Young-Aria unfolded herself from her starting position and began to move across the ice, before the video cut to the end turning sequence for Jaemin’s mission.

Jaemin beside her fell quiet, leaning forward in his seat to watch the turns more precisely. As a young-Aria spun her way through the final bars of the music, Aria could her the exclamations around her.

“Wow, is that even possible?”

“Wait that’s cool!”

“Oh my god.”

The video cut back - showing a few seconds of young-Aria skating in a wide circle before beginning the step sequence that Aria would have to remember.

Fortunately for her, she was pretty sure that she did remember this routine for the most part - having been one of the ones she enjoyed a great deal while learning. The steps were labelled as they appeared on the screen for the other members, appearing as follows:

A bracket. Aria remembered royally bruising her hip the first time she had attempted one of those unsupervised. She had been too confident, and turned her body without having given herself enough time to do so, her balance catching at the same time her toe-pick did, and she came crashing down with a dull thud onto the ice.

An outside three turn. Simple enough, but Aria did wonder how she was going to do edges on wheels - knowing that they weren’t sharpened like blades were.

And, to finish, a two foot spin.

Only three steps, which Aria was thankful for given her time constraints.

The video cut out, and Jaemin and Aria were handed their equipment by the staff who emerged from behind the scenes.

As it would turn out, the super skates were nothing more than a pair of inline rollerblades, painted a neon green to match the lights running parallel to the ceiling.

Aria sat herself down on her chair, bending forward to undo the long laces that wrapped around the black boots she wore. It was times like this that she questioned the stylists - they had given her a pair of flesh-coloured tights to wear underneath the safety-shorts earlier on, but the rough plastic of the super skates was most definitely going to rub a hole through the thin material.

She bit her lip, before deciding that nothing could be done about it now.

Sliding her feet out of the boots, she quickly laced up the horrifically bright roller skates - rolling her ankles side to side to test out the tension and to make sure that they weren’t too loose or tight.

Already, getting out of her chair posed a challenge. When weight was put onto the skates the wheels rolled forwards, which left Aria to wobble herself into an upright position, hands clasped onto the back of the chair to keep herself steady.

When the flimsy plastic chair began to tilt, she let go quickly - flailing slightly before she regained her balance precariously, arms extended in a stop motion.

“Oh god, this is different.” She muttered to herself, shooting a small glare to Jaemin who snickered at her.

Aria took a breath before moving to go forward, stopping suddenly when she realized that she’d changed her shoes in the most inopportune place.

The lip from the edge of the cube was barely a half foot high, but she didn’t fancy a concussion at that particular moment.

Holding out her right hand, Aria looked over to Jaemin expectantly. He bit his lip as if trying to hold back a giggle but took her hand wordlessly nonetheless, helping her over the step with the other hand resting on her hip to make sure she didn’t slip.

Aria pat him on the back in thanks and waited for him to move away slightly before she began testing out the skates.

She was pleasantly surprised to find a fair amount of similarities - and soon she was skating smoothly in circles to get a feel for the floor. Moving at a fairly moderate pace, Aria was comfortable enough to test out something more complex, swiveling her bodyweight side to side to skate in an S shape.

“I think it’s okay!” She called out. “It’s pretty similar - I don’t think I’ll fall.”

She could hear Renjun’s grumbles at not getting a giggle out of her falling (he didn’t want her to fall badly, just a teeny one), but she chose to not acknowledge it on camera.

Happy with how the skates and flooring felt, Aria’s next thought was how to incorporate the steps into a smaller space - the studio room was significantly smaller than a regular rink, and she didn’t want to accidentally smack into a wall.

Speaking of smacking into walls-

“Oh, OH how do you stop!” Aria’s screech was met with a burst of laughter from the others, who had been watching her skate in circles for the last minute or so.

Putting pressure on the left toe-stop, Aria spun in a circle once, twice, before she slowed to a stop.

Her face was bright, breathing heavily, eyes sparking at the adrenaline that came with nearly falling on your butt. “So, that’s different.”

“Yeah? How’d you stop normally?” Mark’s voice echoed down, the boy in question sitting forward on his seat so that he could hear her better.

“I mean, normally you’d,” Aria cut herself off by pushing herself into a smooth glide, picking up a little speed before trying to use the rollerblades to drag herself into a stop.

Aria pushes downwards and back with her legs, trying to hone in on the long-embedded muscle memory that would help her. On ice, the blade would catch and grip the ice to give her a ledge to push herself off of and change her direction.

Using her leg strength, she bent down and pushed.

“Woah!-” Aria’s weight tipped forward, arms windmilling to stop herself face planting into the ground.

The boys let out exclamations in kind, Doyoung sitting up straighter in his chair and Kun scrunching one eye closed in fear that she’d fall. The others reacted similarly, Yuta’s hand dropping quickly to the edge of his chair as if to push himself out of it, and Jungwoo let out a loud aah in sympathy with a wince.

On ice the blades would have gripped, but on the inline wheels her leg flew out from behind herself. She barely managed to right herself, wobbling slightly before she regained her balance.

"You alright, Riri?" Donghyuck's voice echoed down from his cube, looking slightly stiff in his attempt to appear nonchalant despite his tensed shoulders.

Aria made sure her thumbs up was big enough for him to see, and he responded with a rallying cheer and a clap.

Mark spluttered slightly, “You didn’t - I didn’t mean show me you could have just told me-”

Aria giggled at him, waving him off with a laugh and carried on skating in small circles. Checking the time on the clock at the back of the studio, she realized that she’d been skating for over three minutes, and now only had two minutes to complete her challenge.

“Whoops whoops, ok. Ok, you got this.” She mumbled to herself, gathering her nerves for the first attempt at a bracket.

She pushed herself into a skate, gliding into a smooth circle before letting her weight transfer onto her right foot, twisted inwards on a forward inside edge. After a moment she hopped slightly, using the split second of airtime to flick her foot around so that her heel leaded her skating backwards, still balanced on the one foot.

Letting out a small cheer of celebration, she did it a couple more times before she was sure she had gotten a hand of it.

Quickly practicing the other two moves she had to replicate, Aria slid herself to a shaky stop, poised in the corner of the floor.

“Aria, challenge accepted!”

Aria skated through her tiny program with ease, wobbling slightly when it came to the two foot spin when her boots clicked together slightly but regaining her balance after coming out of it slightly prematurely.

She did a flourish with her arm to distract from that fact, hoping that the staff would be kind enough to ignore the minor blip.

The short step sequence was fluid, Aria skating through it with ease and she pulled herself to a stop using the rubber toe-stops in the centre of the room, folding herself into a dramatic pose in a mimicry of the swan-pose her younger self had done in their program.

The members clapped, Lucas’ hoot being heard over them all and Aria bowed (and made a wobbly attempt at a curtsy) before making her way back over to her chair.

Jaemin was already waiting with an extended arm, and Aria grasped his hand gratefully as he helped her back up over the ledge and then sit in her chair.

She looked up expectantly at the screen.

Mission sucessful!

Aria cringed upon hearing Mark’s mission.

“Oh god poor Mark.” she exchanged a look with Jaemin, who just nodded sadly, lips pressed together.

“Should I go up and help him?” she whispered conspiratorially to him, side-eyeing the male staff member who was in the corner of her vision.

“I think,” Jaemin paused, hearing Donghyuck’s scolding already begin to start. “I think, unless you want to be a witness to his murder - it’s best to stay down here.”

Aria hummed her agreement, settling back into her chair.

Rest in peace, Markie.

But, seven minutes in to his challenge, Aria had had enough, making her way up to join the other boys who had already gathered to get a better look at Mark’s egg-making station currently in shambles.

“Look! Stop touching it you’ll break it! Leave the poor egg alone!” she batted away Mark’s wandering hand with the chopsticks.

Mark jerked his hand away. “Sorry, sorry! Are they not done though?”

Aria looked at him up through her eyebrows. “I- no. You just put them in.”

He sighed, looking at the eggs with a glum sort of resignation. His shoulders slumped, and Aria felt a pit of regret forming in the bottom of her stomach.

It’s not his fault he can’t cook eggs.

Aria resorted to wrapping her arms around his apron-clad middle, aiming to offer some comfort by pressing her cheek to his back. They stayed that way for a moment, before she jerked and pulled back rapidly like she’d been burned.

“Oh, shoot. Sorry sorry-”

“What?”

“I got make-up on your back sorry-” Aria scrubbed with her fingers to try and remove the half skin-toned, half pink stain that had rubbed onto the white material from her foundation and blush.

“Doyoung hyung, Kun hyung, Jaemin hyung, Aria noona, Mark hyung, Sungchan!”

Aria cheered when Sungchan finished out the names quickly, standing up from her chair to clap emphatically. She waved her hands around in small fists in celebration, looking over to Hendery with a wide-eyed expression of relief at the knowledge that they’re allowed go home after this.

Filming had run late into the night, and after six and a half hours of sitting in the same chair, Aria was thrilled to see the end of the plastic torture on her tailbone.

“Good job Sungchan!” she called up to the boy. He had really looked like he was about to cry from the stress of it all, and before they stumbled back into the car she was going to be sure to give him a hug for getting through it all.

Because all of you succeeded on your mission, you can escape the time vortex. If you leave this time and space, another time and space will be waiting for you.

I hope you will be able to complete the journey ahead of you.

Let’s meet again. Farewell. Goodbye.

“Goodbye Mr. Superhuman!” Aria yelled, hands cupped around her mouth, before coughing slightly.

“Ah, I don’t think I’ll have a voice after all this,” she muttered, before resuming her yelling without a care.

Ice-Skating Queen Aria leaves with a royal flourish...

Aria pressed her fingertips to her lips before holding her palm face-up and paused lightly, before blowing the kiss off her fingertips with a wink. With her other hand extended downwards and out to her side with her hand flexed horizontally, she looked a perfect-mimicry of how one would draw an anime character.

Fluttering her fingertips at the camera in a salute, she turned and walked away to the back wall before disappearing in a wave of colour.

“Sungchan! Hold on, wait one second.”

The boy in question turned around, stepping out of the group that were beginning to file out of the door.

“Noona?”

Aria rounded the corner, boots in hand. She waved to make sure that Sungchan had seen her, before jogging slightly to catch up.

“Hey!” She smiled brightly, before catching him around the waist and pulling him into a hug. Her boots swung a little from where she had her fingers knotted into the laces to hold onto them both.

Sungchan stumbled slightly - unprepared - and accepted the hug tenderly, his hands coming over Aria’s shoulders to pat awkwardly at her back. “...noona?”

She pulled back, smiling at him again before moving out of his personal space. “Sorry, I just. Wanted to give you a hug, that’s all.”

Sungchan’s eyes widened slightly, before his surprise crested over into gratefulness. He opened his arms again tentatively, prepared for a rejection that never came.

Aria stepped into the circle of his arms without another moment’s persuasion, this time letting her arms wrap around his shoulders - that’s a lot of shoulder - because Sungchan had bent down to meet her.

“Woah!”

Aria was lifted off her feet in a split second, her arms tightening around Sungchan’s shoulders. His arms came to lift her up, now carrying her full weight in his arms.

“Not that I don’t appreciate the hug - I do - but, why?” Aria questioned after a moment.

Sungchan responded by pulling her boots out of her hands. “Your heels are bleeding - and it’s rained outside while we were filming.”

She exhaled a breath of surprise. “Oh - Oh that’s okay, I don’t mind really, I can walk - it’s not that far to the vans anyway.”

“The ground is wet, and it’s dark so you can’t see.”

Aria closed her mouth on the protest that was already forming. “O-okay, thank you.” Her voice was soft, and she knocked her head against Sungchan’s shoulder in thanks.

“No problem.” His limbs were awkward in their attempt to maneuver Aria into a more comfortable position - and yes, it was not the most comfortable of silences, but Aria saw that Yuta had waited by the doorway in silence, having told the Japanese girl earlier that he’d help her to the car.

Over Sungchan’s shoulder, she nodded that it was okay, and Yuta disappeared through the doorway after a moment.

LUCIEN

You’ve been going out more often because of a shooting and been going home later than usual.

Lucien didn’t think much about it at first because, he himself goes home late as well.

Until one day, he came to your place to pick you up when he saw that the guest and you were hugging.

He wouldn’t jump to conclusions right away but he just stood there and silently watched.

He saw how you were laughing and giggling with him.

“See you later, Axel.” you waved at the guy and went back to your seat and saw Lucien at the back of the room.

He was just standing there.

“Luci-“

He exited the shooting room.

Since you were worried, you decide to follow him but you were called by Anna because of some shooting complications so you didn’t have time to check up on him.

By the time you finished, you were looking for him outside hoping he waited.

He didn’t.

So you went home.

In the living room, he was there, looking at a framed picture of the both of you in his hand while drinking hot tea.

“Lucien?”

“Yes, love?” he looked at you with icy cold eyes.

“Is there something wrong? Why did you just leave the shoot?” you asked.

“I don’t know, care to explain who is ‘Axel’?” he asked calmy.

“Axel?” You thought.

He got up from the couch, “Nevermind, seems like you don’t even care to explain to me, talk to me when you have an explanation.” he was heading towards the door.

“Lucien what do you mean?”

“I’m talking about how you’re so into the guy you called love! If you don’t like me or in fact love me anymore you can just say it, MC.” he said in a cold tone.

“Axel Axel...is...ohhh you mean Axel the guy just now?” You laughed.

“Whats so funny about you cheating on me?” He asked calmly.

“Lucien I’m not cheating on you, Axel is an idol and he was going to be starring in the new episodes of Miracle Finder”

Lucien tried to process this for a moment.

“Here I’ll show you.” you pulled out a video of Axel performing.

“Oh.” he nods.

Lucien smiled, “Okay, thats a relief that you’re not cheating on me.”

He hugged you tightly.

He’s kinda possesive but wouldn’t show it.

Who even would cheat on this man eye

VICTOR

Goldman and you were like bestbuds now.

Like yall text sometimes even when its not LFG related.

Goldman would sometimes send pictures of movies or shows and ask for your recommendation.

Well while you were in the shower, Victor heard a vibration from his desk, he thought it was his phone at first.

Since you both have the same phone.

“Watch later or now?”

Victor was confused so he only answered a ‘?’

“No? Isn’t this your favorite movie? Its going to be on tonight. We should watch later!” Goldman screenshotted a picture of the movie cover of *insert favorite movie*.

“Isn’t this MC’s...are they going to go out together tonight?” he furrowed his eyebrow.

When he saw you enter the room he just looked at you, “Well? Whats it like?” he asked in a monotone.

“What?” you were confused.

“Goldman and you? You’re going out with him tonight aren’t you?” he angrily said while glaring at you.

“Goldman? No, Victo-“

“Don’t talk to me anymore. Just. Get out.”

“No, Vic-“

“If you talk to me one more time, I’ll fire Goldman.”

“Wait don’t do tha-“

Goldman called you.

He rolled his eyes, “Pick it up right here, right now, put it on speaker.”

You were scared he’d do something so you picked it up, “Hey Goldman.”

“The movies. I sent you which one was better because tonight they’re premiering on Channel and was asking if it was worth to stay up.”

Victor made an ‘o’ with his mouth before searching the movie up.

It really was airing tonight and he was just asking you for recommendations.

“Both are cool. But I have to go, tell me if you liked it or not!” and with a click you ended the call.

“You can stay, I apologize, I thought you were cheating on me.” he got up and hugged you tightly.

“Why would I cheat on you?!” You kissed him on the lips for a long time before parting.

“I would never.” you smiled brightly.

“I guess I’m the dummy today.” he sighs and kisses you again.

GAVIN

This boy never really suspected anything.

Even when you go home late.

He trusts you.

A little too much sometimes.

But then one day, you were out with a guy friend and didn’t tell him because it was just business related stuff.

Gavin was patrolling in the sky when he saw the two of you.

He didn’t say anything and continued patrolling.

Once you got home he’d ask you who it was.

“MC, is there something you’d like to tell me?”

THIS BOY HAD A CRUSH ON YOU SINCE HIGH SCHOOL AND IF YOU ACTUALLY CHEATED ON HIM SKNXEKND YOURE OUT OF YOUR MIND.

“Huh?”

He sounded more cold this time, “Did something happen today?”

“Not anything important I guess?” You say.

“So...cheating on me isn’t important then?” he asks.

He knew that you probably didn’t cheat on him but it was a rough day at work and you acting ‘oh-so-innocent’ to him made him more mad.

“Cheating? Gavin I’m not-“

“Then who was the guy you were with at the cafe, MC?” he asks in a stern voice but there were a hint of hurt in them.

“T-the boy?” you looked worried at him before forming an ‘o’ shape with your voice.

Before you were able to explain yourself, he sighed.

“MC, if it makes you happy then I’m ok-“

“Nonono Gavin!” You hugged him and looked at him in the eye.

“I wasn’t cheating on you thats my friend who’s also my co worker. Its nothing like that.” You explained while hugging him tight.

“Well, I guess I’m happy that you’re not cheating on me.” He smiled lightly and hugged you back.

Thats how you lectured Gavin by saying its not okay for him to be cheated on.

And Gavin had to listen to the whole thing.

KIRO

As an idol, you would sometimes follow him to his shoots and stuff.

Until, there was a new male idol he’ll be collabing, ‘Axel’.

You and him would get along well.

Too much to Kiro’s liking.

You started to hang out with him when they’re done shooting.

Well one day, you wanted to interview Love on Miracle Finder and asked him to meet after the shoot.

After he heard about that Kiro was down for the rest of the day.

He thought you guys were planning a date.

When you both get home he seemed a bit different, in a bad different.

He wasn’t the same cheerful self.

“Kiro, is there something wrong?” you asked worriedly.

“N-no, its nothing, don’t worry Miss Chips.” he kisses your forehead.

You would try to talk to him about it and one day he actually told you.

“Are you cheating on me with Axel?” Kiro asked.

“What?! No! Kiro, is that why you’ve been sad?”

Kiro has seen alot of idols cheating on each other so you can say he was kinda...worried

But you guys talked it out and he was back to the same Kiro again.

You tried to distance yourself from Axel which he completely understood why.

Axel and you remained friends and Kiro is still your boyfriend.

You: I was forced into counselling and i hating going at first

You: my counsellor saw i hated talking to people so she encouraged me to talk to a friend

Stranger: The person I had listening, I didn't really like her do I stopped going

You: and this friend i knew i could trust so i told her a lot

Stranger: I grew away from my best friend

You: Yeahh it felt really unnatural so i just prefered talking to someone close

You: people can be really ignorant about these kinds of things so i get its hard to talk about

You: Right so ill just start to when I was around 10 years old

You: I always felt different and I was quite isolated from people because of it

You: like i didnt really have friends because the ones I had ended up hating me or breaking my trust or some dumb shit

You: and I got bullied for like a year

Stranger: Ahh

You: Uhh well

You: I thought differently to everyone else

You: everyone was so much more willing to be ignorant about things just because it made them happier

You: And everyone around me would be after small meaningless things and I felt like I always thought big

You: idk what im saying hahah but yeah people pretty much thought I was a weirdo and i got bullied for it

Stranger: A lot of people miss the big picture

Stranger: I never really got bullied

You: so when i was 11 i had my first real real friends

Stranger: A little name calling here and there

You: yeah it really sucked im glad it didnt last too long

You: so it was a small friendship circle and i was friends with them from ages 11, 12, 13, 14

You: like there was additions to the group but i wont say much about them

You: but during these few years i was still that same weird different kid

You: but I suppressed that and acted like somebody else so I would have friends

Stranger: I sort of did the same thing

You: and yeah these friends weren't great, they lied a lot, said a lot about eachother (including me) behind eachothers back, spread rumours, told secrets

You: so I knew i couldnt trust them with the things i was thinking or whatnot

Stranger: Yeah, it's tough finding trustworthy people at that age

Stranger: You gotta find them before all that

Stranger: Hormones can do a lot to mess things up

You: so yeah, 14 years old was when I was really down about it, I felt lonely all the time because I was constantly stuck in my own thoughts

You: yeahh definitely

Stranger: Did you think about the same things

You: So I would spend a lot of time on my own which was the biggest mistake lol

You: pretty much yeah but

Stranger: Definitely

You: there was a lot i was thinking about

Stranger: Like what

You: Ahh things about people, things about like, our purpose

You: it got really unhealthy i guess

You: i guess i asked a lot of questions which couldn''t be answered

Stranger: When I was younger I always knew what I wanted in life

Stranger: Yeah, it's kinda silly and a lot of people think it's lame but my friends and I all wanted to become pro players

Stranger: That was back in the day 6ish years ago

Stranger: It is, in the sense that it's a lot of work and a lot of people don't make it

You: True but, its good to have dreams and ambitions

You: something to work towards

Stranger: Most definitely but people need a back up plan

You: I never knew to be honest

You: generally I wanted to help or inspire people

You: but never knew specifically what

Stranger: Sometimes when I need motivation I watch some videos of people I look up to

You: Theres other things I need to fix first before that can happen

You: idk i never really felt worth the effort I always thought everyone else was more important

Stranger: So I just cheated on all my paperwork with friends

You: when I was 14 I just fell into a deep hole of bullshit and stupidity and got into the habit of harming myself

You: and I left all of my old friends and found new, even worse friends

Stranger: I feel it, I did the same sort of

Stranger: Did they encourage your behavior?

You: but i "loved" them for the reason that we would smoke a lot of weed together

You: no nobody knew i hid it all the time

Stranger: Ahhh, yeah drugs are definitely something interesting

Stranger: I don't think anyone who isn't there mentally should do drugs

You: dumbest thing I could have done in my situation as it was the only think I was relying on to make me even the slightest bit happy

You: and then in that friendship group was this one guy who I wont go into much detail about but we were both mentally fucked up so we were just toxic together and fucked eachother up even more

Stranger: I did the same thing

You: and my mum found out about me harming myself so i was forced into counselling, my mum was getting panic attacks because of stressing about me

You: which made me feel shit so i started harming myself again

You: and then at 15

You: is like one of the most important exams we do in the UK

Stranger: We do it at like 16-17

You: and basically i didnt really care much about life so I purposefully failed everything

I don’t know if i can answer your questions satisfactorily(is it a word?), sorry in advance;; (and sorry for being LATE, very late)! I sort of talked about this in this post, but i will copy/paste it since there is a lot of text so it will be easier for you like this (it was an answer about improving drawing anatomy and poses):

“ Tbh I don’t feel the most qualified person to answer this, because i struggle so much with anatomy and poses it makes me cry

but what i can say is that i noticed some improvements in my drawings when i started to really draw regularly from life ; if you can, don’t hesitate to attend life drawing class with models etc, it really helps and it’s interesting.

Drawing from life in general is really a good exercice (and if you don’t know what to draw but damn you want to draw, it’s the best)

you can also look at yourself in the mirror to see if the pose you’re drawing feels natural (how would you place your hand if you stand like this? is this way of sitting really humanly possible, etc) (and take a photo if it feels necessary)

and don’t hesitate to draw feet/shoulders/whatyouwanttoworkon thousands of times !! or well, until you feel familiar with it :>

References are great. (i’m talking about inspiration/refs that help)

(you learn better by copying a picture than by tracing it imo) You will understand the human body better by intense observing;

for poses, the point is getting familiar with how the body is, how it moves, and how all the parts are connected with the others to make it look natural

Drawing simplified poses can help; draw them fast, without overthinking, to have the ‘essence’ of the poses

(I used to work from kpop dance practice video !) (i shoud do it again..:’^o)

and maybe you can try drawing faster without polishing everything or erasing etc

I will just edit a bit what i said in my old text by saying that if you’re young/unconfortable with nudity, life drawing class with model is not absolutely necessary of course, and you can make a lot of progress by drawing yourself, and by drawing your environment / the people around you / etc etc! Also tracing can help a lot (for practice!), but you can trace, then doing the same drawing with the ref without tracing, to see if you understood the forms. (sorry if i’m not clear i’m bad at explaining) photos and observations/study from life (paying attention to the light too!) will definitely make you improve

reference photos really are life saving when you struggle with something in particular. (Had to use one on my latest drawing (you can guess for what......)(..*whispers*toes.), and i looked intensely at my hand to draw kaneki’s and hide’s hands in the process as well.)

but well what i think in the end is the same: you will improve! You’re already improving, with every drawings you make and by questioning yourself.

maybe said like this makes the exercises seem boring or tedious(?) or something like that but really it’s not! :^D ; and don’t pressure yourself too much, have fun and keep drawing <3

How I prepared for the BMAT

Someone sent me an ask wanting advice for the BMAT, so I did this post. Bear in mind my very average results (which you can see here) when deciding whether to take my advice! Hope it’s helpful x

Scoring System

There are 3 sections in the BMAT. The first two are marked on a scale of 1-9 (9 being the highest). It’s designed so that an average candidate (who by definition will be academically very able) will get approximately 50% of the marks, which translates to 5.0 on the scale. Any score above 6.0 is really good! Section 3 is an essay task marked in two parts. The first is a score between 1-5 (5 being the highest) for ‘quality of content’. The second is a letter between E-A (A being the highest) for ‘quality of written English’.

So I would say aim to get around a 5.0 or higher on the first 2 sections, and a 3A or higher in Section 3. Now, on to my tips!

General

First things first, make sure you get to know the format of the exam:

Written test, 2 hours long

Section 1: Aptitude and Skills (1 hour, 35 multiple choice questions

Section 2: Scientific Knowledge (30 mins, 27 multiple choice questions)

Section 3: Writing Task (30 mins, 1 question)

With preparation, the sooner the better honestly. I started doing some loose prep about 7-8 weeks before, then starting doing past papers about 4 weeks before, but I felt really unprepared so I would recommend leaving more time.

You aren’t allowed a calculator so practise some mental maths!

There is a specification and a ton of past papers, so there’s lots of material out there to use in your prep.

Section 1

this section is all about critical thinking and problem solving

I found it pretty similar to the UKCAT Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning sections, so if you’ve done the UKCAT you’ll find that helpful!

for critical thinking, questions include: what the conclusion is, where the flaw in the argument is, what statement strengthens a particular argument, and what is an assumption of the text

it’s really all in the wording – look out for small words like ‘some’, ‘many’, ‘all’ or ‘no’ that completely change the meaning of the statement

for questions about compatibility: if nothing contradicts the statement, even if nothing directly supports it, it is compatible

problem solving involves a lot of maths type questions involving patterns, spacial awareness e.g. sides of a 3D shape, etc

make sure you’re on it with these basic maths skills: times tables(!), percentage increase/decreases, converting between fractions/decimals/percentages, interpreting graphs/tables of data, probabilities, ratios

with more wordy problems you can use algebra to help solve them

you have to work fast, but it’s not as time-pressured as Section 2 so breathe, you can do this!

also, TSA Oxford papers are really similar (although in my opinion slightly easier) to Section 1 so do those past papers if you want some extra practice

Section 2

this section is testing biology, chemistry, physics, and maths

on the BMAT website, they say it’s GCSE level maths and science. But from experience, I found that it was more like AS level

don’t panic though because there is an assumed knowledge guide which you can access for free online, which is like a CGP revision guide

the hardest thing about this section is the timing - it’s literally impossible to devote the amount of time you need to every question

soo if you’re spending too long on a question, GUESS AND MOVE ON

honestly, the best skill you can learn for this section is to quickly figure out which questions will take longer and which you can answer quickly

also, use BBC Bitesize because it explains concepts really well and concisely

Physics

don’t freak out if you’re not doing A Level Physics – most people aren’t so we’re all in the same boat. What I did whenever I was stuck was just ask one of my friends doing A Level Physics to help me, or you could ask a Physics teacher for help

there are LOTS of formulae that you really must learn – here’s a pic from my revision of the ones I learned

KEY:

F = force

m = mass

a = acceleration

v = velocity (and once volume)

V = voltage

h = height

g = gravity

W = weight

P = power

I = current

E = energy

R = resistance

Q = charge

t = time

c = speed of light

n = turns on primary/secondary coil of transformer

d = density

ws = wavespeed

f = frequency

lamda = wavelength

the most common topics that come up so you should be solid on are: electricity, energy/forces, the atom/radioactivity

Biology

genetic tree diagrams almost always come up

the questions are mostly human biology, and a lot of it is factual recall, so I found it’s not as hard as the other sciences

Chemistry

make sure you’re really clued up on the periodic table (e.g. isotopes) and periodic trends

there are quite a few calculation type questions so make sure to practise mole conversions etc, and mental maths again

Maths

make sure you know how to manipulate fractions, do speed sums, and do algebra

Section 3

a lot of people worry about writing an ‘essay’, but in reality all in needs to be is 3 or 4 paragraphs

there isn’t actually that much space to write as you are limited to an A4 page, within the box which is considerably smaller

there are 3 questions to choose from, and I would really recommend spending a solid 2 or 3 minutes picking a question

for each title, there are sub questions, and you MUST address all of these in order to get a 3 or higher for ‘quality of content’

it’s really really important to PLAN!

brain dump ideas for, against, and to conclude. Expand on each of your points to form a PEE type structure (point, evidence, explanation)

organisation: it’s SO important to have a clear structure. Usually I would do:

good things about argument I don’t agree with

bridge explaining why I don’t agree with that argument

argument I do agree with

conclusion summarising merits of both but ultimately why I took my position

practise at first by planning essays if you can’t be bothered to write it out every time (like me aha), then do some timed essays on the actual answer sheet

have a look at the mark scheme

Overall

The best way you can find out what you need to learn is to

check the specification

do some practice questions

Although there are lots of past papers, there are no explanations for the answers. I highly recommend paying for BMAT Ninja, which has worked solutions so you can figure out where you went wrong and learn from your mistakes (don’t worry if you can’t afford it – they have a bursary scheme that you can use)

Ultimately for this exam you just have to practise – do as many past papers as possible, starting off by just working through the questions, then building up to timed papers.

Ok fandom wise, as far as I know from that time to now carats are literally one of the nicest fandom’s I’ve ever been apart of like literally I love them so much. The fandom isn’t perfect, there’s some really not-so-nice fans like some who sexualise the members and like fanwars or yk have done some really shitty things (im not gonna go into detail but I know a few things) but the good fans really out weigh them! Don’t be intimidated to come of anon and talk to me or other members of the fandom trust me you won’t regret it at all!

So I mentioned Seventeen TV earlier and basically before seventeen debuted they had a program that aired on ustream that basically showed them practicing, playing games and other things as well. It was really entertaining and I really enjoyed it! Like seriously you should watch it it’s really funny I’m not even jokingg.

Sadly, the ustream channel has a password now bUT you can watch some clips or full episodes here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here just to give you a few (I tried to give you as much as I could find really ;A:;;) but really youtube has a lot of videos on it.

I forgot to mention but during the duration of seventeen tv there were other member but subsequently they left due to various reasons. These members include: Samuel (who was part of the duo 1punch which has now broken up, was on produce101 season 2 and has recently debuted with a bomb ass song), Doyoon (he is training to become an actor i think), Dongjin and MingMing.

Right before seventeen debuted a program called Seventeen Project aired. Basically they go through a lot of trials and tests (? i think?) to get them ready for debut! You can watch it subbed here. You should definitely watch this one because you get to know the boys a little better.

For inside jokes this list on amino is literally a god sent but i was updated around january of this year. Speaking of amino, there’s a timeline on it, here. It’s outdated by a year but it’s really helpful as well. (Btw my favourite inside jokes are probably KIMBAP KIDDING and drink water lmao).

I also recommend watching all like17sub’s videos and what17says’s videos as well. As they’ve been subbers in the fandom for a fairly decent amount of time.Kwonvely is a more recent subber but I recommend you watch their subbed videos as well!

Svtunited subs and SVTdiamond subs haven’t updated in a while but they still have a significant amount of videos, especially from the earlier days!

A really nice way to know the members is through their Vlive channel where they do various live streams. Sadly, some vlives you have have to pay for called vlive+ because vlive likes to make us suffer BUT you can find some of the vlive+ videos in full here. The videos on Vlive are already subbed thank god.

The boys have had a reality show One Fine Day and a more recent one One Fine Day 2. They also have an ongoing series called Going Seventeen. On their Vlive+ there’s a series called ‘Where is my Friend’s home?’ where they basically visit the members’ hometowns (they mostly eat tho lmao). I believe minicarats only has the perf team’s one up right now but I believe the hip hop and vocal teams’ will come out soon. Someone uploaded theirs on youtube but obviously the channel got terminated.

They’ve released some DVDs as well which I totally recommend you watch. Seventeen Boy’s Wish CONCERT (1) (2) (3), Shining Diamond Concert (1) (2) (3), Seventeen’s 2017 Season Greetings.

ALSO a great way of getting to know the members more is probably from mackenzie - ww’s why we love seventeen series, here, on youtube.I would also recommend her 10 reasons to love seventeen series here as well. Another good one is LoliKitty’s english time series as well, here. (IT kills me everytime lmao). Lolikitty has only 2 kpop meme origins but it explains 2 fandom jokes, jisoos christ and headlines headlines in a really funny way lmao.

It was October 19th and school just ended for the day, I hate the school I’m going to not just the fact I get bullied by the kids and teachers, no no no I didn’t care about that what I hated about school is I would have to come home to a drunk father and a terrified mother…I took a long way home so I could miss my father's drunken rage, I decided I would cut through an old park that’s not far from my house but right as I got to the entrance of the woods I got a notification on my phone about a new Jacksepticeye video.

“you know what, I think a slower walk home is a good idea” I put my headphones on and start to walk at a very slow pace, while I turned on Jacks new video which was a hello neighbor video, I loved Jacks videos especially his hello neighbor videos, its just funny how he screams making his character run around to stop mr.Willson from throwing bear traps at him. I stopped the video a couple of times when I saw jack staring creepily at the camera.. It got creeper as the video went on sometimes I would of seen him staring at me or smiling weird like, I took one head phone out seeing the sky was getting darker..

“great its going to rain that’s just fucking fantastic!” I shouted at the tree right as I heard a loud snap of a twig.. and went back to watching the video, but when I looked at the video I saw Jack staring right at me..

“ok that’s just weird and I’m now a little freaked out!” I told myself as i heard another snap and as it started to rain..

“Hahahahahahahahaha!!!! (Y/N) look down here at your phone screen.. You pathetic naive idiot of a jacksepticeye fan, you think this is a game? You think that im just a halloween act? Hahah you are so wrong dear (Y/N) but im real so very real and i want to let you know that i will be seeing you very….very soon goodbye… Oh and one more thing I recommend you run home! I don’t think you want to meet any of my friends right now? or do you? because I mean they really like the woods you’re in right now especially dark.. Well have fun.. ” Jack said still looking directly at me, I turned around looking every where before I heard another twig break and my phone go off causing me to jump, it was a text from a unknown number..

“oh yes if you want to live, do try and calm down mad cry just loves when his prey is scared to death….So what are you waiting for??? RUN!!” that’s all the text message said before I started to high tail it out of the woods and to my house, by the time I got to my house I had thirty text messages all from the unknown number and a town number where I live.. Since the area code was a Athlone number.. I decided to ignore the messages till after my shower… About thirty minutes later my phone went from thirty messages to seventy messages and three calls..I opened my phone to check the messages.

J: Well first im glad nothing happened to you, and to answer your questions, what I mean by I tried to control him..Anti was a part of me for a very long time… And recently he has gotten stronger so strong that he has a physical body of his own..And he is free to wander where ever he wants to…Right now he has taken a interested in you.. I got this number from when I was fighting anti i ripped a piece of paper out of his shirt pocket before he got away…I know you’re freaked out but please don’t be…Everything is ok and oh my name is Sean… Or better know as Jack cause i bet you figured that out just by reading the first part of the text…

I decided Jack was right I should get some rest.. I laid my laptop on the stand next to me, and put my phone on the night stand on the other side of the bed… I laid down to go to sleep but couldn’t wonder why it felt like someone was watching me.. I tried to ignore it before drifting off to sleep..

Arplis - News: How to Make Listing Videos That Charm Buyers and Compel Sellers to Hire You

Tim Macy had a problem. He was about to put a new home on the market and wanted to make a listing video to promote it online. The home was nice enough, but nothing about it really stood out. It was like a lot of the homes in the neighborhood.

Then he found something unusual: a tiny desk and office underneath the stairs. Macy, a top agent with RockHouse Realty Group at eXp Realty in San Antonio who was recently named a 2019 BombBomb Real Estate Video Influencer, had the hook he needed to create a better listing video.

In the video I say, Check out this house because it has this Harry Potter room and one of the first shots is me sitting in the room and my daughter opening the door. Its so engaging and that gave it a little boost and more exposure.

Problem solved.

That kind of creativity is a must when you think about how much video people watch online. YouTube says we watch more than one billion hours of video every day. And when it comes to Facebook, 60% of Americans who watch digital video do so on Facebook. Instagram says more than 500 million users watch video on Instagram Stories every day.

But most real estate agents arent taking advantage of video. In the National Association of Realtors 2019 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers, only 10 percent of sellers reported that their agent used video to market their home.

Video is no longer the next thing; its the now thing, Macy says. If youre not doing it for your listings, youre doing yourself and your clients a disservice.

The good news is that its never too late to start making videos for your listings. Here are nine steps to make listing videos that will both charm homebuyers and compel sellers to hire you.

1.) Your first decision: hire a videographer or do it yourself?

Ryan Snaadt, an Iowa-based real estate videographer who also trains aspiring video professionals, says it takes him a couple of hours to create a high-quality real estate listing video; he charges clients $750 and up per video. The final cost depends on a number of factors such as the homes size and listing price. The length of the video you want (see below for more on that) and even where youre located can also impact your costs.

In informal conversations, several agents and videographers told us that a typical 2-3 minute listing video should cost between $300 and $1,000, but you may come across fees as high as $2,000 to $3,000. Bottom line: get quotes from several videographers to learn the current rates in your area.

Not sure how or where to find a videographer? Try these ideas:

Ask other agents for recommendations

Reach out to eager students in the film/video department at your local college or university

Search web sites like Upwork.com, Thumbtack.com and Freelancer.com

If those sites dont have enough choices in your area, check wedding website TheKnot.com many video pros advertise themselves primarily to brides and grooms

Not all agents can afford to hire a videographer, especially if youre selling a lower-priced home. If you dont have the budget to hire a pro for all of your listing videos, theres nothing wrong with the do-it-yourself approach. You can also shoot a fun video on your iPhone and be creative, says Snaadt.

A simple, inexpensive gear list for the do-it-yourself real estate agent might include:

Camera: your smartphone, especially if its the latest model

Microphone: Pop voice lavalier microphone (currently $13)

Tripod: UBeesize 5-foot tripod with smartphone mount (currently $35)

Lighting: not needed, use natural light (more on this below)

Editing software: iMovie (included with Apple devices) or Final Cut Pro X (Mac/$300), Adobe Premiere (Mac & Windows/$21 per month), DaVinci Resolve (Mac & Windows/free version or $300)

Macy often records a lot of video content on his iPhone 11 Pro Max. Ill shoot a selfie of me out in front of the house and say, Hey, its Tim. Im at 123 Main Street and I want you to check out this house because it has an unbelievable kitchen and its just been renovated.

2.) Dont just start shooting. A great listing video begins with a plan.

If youre hiring a professional, Macy says you should give the videographer specific examples of what you want your video to look like. Include the fact that you want it to be at this pace, with this type of music and with these type of shots, he says.

Youve given them a guide and something to go by and youll tend to be happier with the results you get back.

If youre making the video yourself, this isnt the time to whip out your phone and record with no focus. A D-I-Y video shoot should begin with preparation like this:

Scout the home inside and out. Look for unique features that you want to highlight, like Macy did with the Harry Potter room. Do this at different times of day, so that you can

decide on the best time of day to shoot your video. As you scout the home, look at the natural lighting and shadows in each room. Harsh sunlight can make a room and home look less appealing, which is exactly what you dont want to do.

Make a list of shots you want to get. Think about the shot(s) that will capture attention in the first five seconds of your video and convince viewers to keep watching. If the home looks particularly beautiful in the soft light of a sunrise or sunset, that might be a perfect opening scene.

On that last point, if you dont know what shots you want in your video, watch other listing videos on YouTube for inspiration. Dont copy another agents style exactly, but pick and choose the shots and styles you like to create a listing video that fits you and the homes you sell.

3.) Make a listing video for every home you sell.

Listing videos are great for showcasing million-dollar homes, but agents should make listing videos for homes in all price points.

Obviously luxury videos are fun because everybody likes to dream about living in one of those, but what if you made a video about a fantastic house thats less than $200,000? says Macy. You can talk about how great of an affordable home it is and show how close it is to the park.

Think of it this way: You write a listing description for every home, not just your high-end properties. Its the same way with listing videos. Every house has a story, Macy says. Every house has something.

4.) Put yourself in every listing video so viewers get to know you.

Many home listing videos consist of music and video shots of the homes interior and exterior. Thats it. Effective? Maybe. But when you have people in a video its more engaging, says Macy. And if your content is not engaging, its going to disappear and nobodys going to watch it.

In one of his own videos, Macy jumped on a scooter and recorded his two-minute ride through San Antonio to the home he had listed for sale.

Some people would say, Why dont you focus on the house instead of riding a scooter down the street? Well, if I just did that, nobody would see it. But since I jumped on a scooter and went by local restaurants, more people watched and more people saw the house, Macy says.

A listing video isnt just about selling the home; its also a way to introduce yourself to potential clients. Put yourself in every listing video, even if its just a spoken intro and outro. I see agents that put out a ton of listing videos that theyre not in and people arent getting to know that agent, Macy says.

5.) Match the music to the mood of the home.

Youre making a video, but dont overlook the audio. Along with beautiful visuals, the right soundtrack will help buyers get a sense of what it would be like to live in the home. The music in your listing video should appeal to potential buyers and match the mood of the home.

A country cabin listing would have different music than a cottage on the beach, says Snaadt.

In this video [above], the music is upbeat, modern, and happy similar to this homes layout. If it were a snow-covered cabin in the woods, you would look for music that is more rustic and fits the style of the home. [The video below] would be more of that rustic example with acoustic spunky music.

One agent sent Snaadt a very confusing listing video that she created to sell a high-end, million-dollar castle. It was so fast-cutting and the music was high intensity, he says. Sometimes you get lost in the creative and forget the strategy, which is to entice people who want to come to see the home.

6.) Dont worry about how long the video is; worry about how great it is.

Look around on YouTube and youll find listing videos that run the gamut from really short to really long. Have you ever seen a 37-minute long listing video? Heres one. More common is a video like this one that runs slightly more than three minutes. And heres one that runs about 14 minutes.

Theres no such thing as a perfect length, as long as its entertaining and engaging, says Macy.

Macy explains that youll know the right length for your listing video when youre editing it. Say youve got your daughter who has a puppy in the video because its a vacant listing and that makes it more fun. You get the shots, put the video together and feel like youve got a minute and 20 seconds of real entertaining stuff, so the video is one minute and 20 seconds. If you feel like its only entertaining for 45 seconds, then only make it 45 seconds.

7.) Use a drone, but dont overdo it.

In the past, real estate agents might rent a helicopter in order to capture aerial views of a special property. Today, many agents use a drone to capture that magical view above tree-level, and that footage often becomes the opening or closing shot of a listing video. Drone shots are also used to show potential buyers the home in the context of the neighborhood. For example, you can show how close the home is to parks, schools, and shopping centers.

Drone footage can be captivating, but Macy urges agents to be careful. Drone shots are a powerful tool, but dont fall in love with them or overuse them, he says. We [agents] think theyre so cool that we end up doing [a long] drone shot and you lose everybodys attention.

Drones can range in price from about $50 to $2,000 or more. Agents in the ~5,900-member RE TV Facebook group often recommend DJI drones, but youll have plenty of options if you decide to buy one. There are a number of real estate drone buying guides online like this one from DronesGlobe.com.

If youre planning to fly a drone to get footage for your listing videos, be aware of the Federal Aviation Administrations drone rules and registration requirements. The FAA has also partnered with a couple industry organizations on an education campaign called Know Before You Fly, which explains how to fly drones safely. And speaking of safety, the Insurance Information Institute warns that commercial drone use isnt covered by personal insurance policies, so you should contact your insurance provider to see what coverage is needed. Accidents can happen, especially if youre new to flying drones.

8.) Focus on building your audience and giving them value.

Your immediate goal with listing videos is to sell homes, but theres an equally important long-term goal: building an audience of viewers that will see and engage with you and your videos in the future.

Macy brings up a hypothetical scenario where two agents are competing to sell a home.

One of them has an audience on social media that knows, likes, trusts and follows them. The other agent doesnt. In that situation, Macy says the first agent can make a listing video thats not as good, but that video is going to do better than the video from the agent that doesnt have an audience. In other words, you can make the best listing videos in your market, but what good is it if you dont have an audience to watch it?

Snaadt says a great listing video is about connecting with viewers. Hes seen real estate agents hire a video team with the specific hope that the listing video would go viral. If all youre trying to do is create a video to go viral, you dont understand the point about content marketing. Its about connecting with someone who wants to use your services.

Macy agrees. You have to lead with adding value to your audience to grow an audience, he says. You want to be the TV show, not the advertisement.

9.) Start making videos and keep making videos. Dont give up.

YouTube is littered with inactive real estate agent accounts. Many agents try it out, post a few listing videos, then give up when the videos only earn 10-15 views.

Thats a mistake. Listing videos, like most marketing that agents do, are a long-term play.

You have to continue to create video and build an audience for you to actually see the value in it, Macy says. Because if youre just making a listing video every other week, youre not going to see the value. The only way you get better at doing video is to do more video.

On the morning of Sept 14, 2011 my sister woke me up at home asking me where my car was. I went outside to discover my vehicle was gone. So I call the police to come and take a report but of course there wasn't enough officers on duty to send one out so I wake up my brother to get a ride to the station. Keep in mind this is between 2:30-5:00am and the last time I actually saw my car was Sept 13, 2011 at approx 11pm. I arrive at the police station where I make a report, they take down all the info and send me home with the report. Approx 1 hour later they call me and say my vehicle was recovered in a nearby city and they gave me the number to that police station. So I hurry to call them but of course they were closed until 8am. At 8am I call them they said bring my ID and insurance info to recover the vehicle. I go down there and ask questions but they told me they weren't allowed to disclose any information about who, what, were, or when the incident occurred because of confidentiality. They told me I would have to pay the towing and storage fee to recover my car from the impound. So I left and went to the impound paid $218.00 to discover that my vehicle had been totaled. So I had it towed to my house where I called the insurance company to report this. After I reported this incident they took a recorded statement and gave me a claim number. I waited for 2days for my adjuster to call me back and he never did. about 2 weeks later my adjuster calls and leaves me a message saying he needed another recorded statement and to call him back. I call back and got his voice mail. I spoke to one of his colleagues and they said they would send him and his manager a memo to call me back..well that never happened. 1 week after that I get a packet in the mail asking for my cell phone records, keys to the vehicle, and a notarized affidavit. I sent these things back and then a detective from the insurance company calls me and said there were red flags and he needed to get a video recorded statement. I agreed and went to give the statement. A few days later a detective from the police department where my car was recovered from calls me and tells me that my youngest son's father was with some friends at a nightclub were a drive-by shooting occurred and my son's father wasn't shot but the young man he was with was and as a result of them trying to escape the scene my car was crashed. As they arrived to the scene and asked questions about what happened my son's father would not admit he was driving the vehicle, and because they didn't actually see him driving or pull him over they could not prosecute. The detective asked me did I know anything about this incident and I replied hell no! The night of the incident my son's father had came to my house around 3am but never mentioned anything of course because he knows I would have tried to kill him. He also knows I would have been pissed because I never let him drive my car for the 3 years that I have known him, he has never had a license. She ask me was it ok to list him as a suspect and I told her Yes! I let her know that he did not have permission to drive my car under any circumstances. The very next day the detective from the insurance company called me and ask me what was my son's father name and what where the numbers that where called on my cell phone records. He asked why did he call me at 2:54am, I explained he wanted to let me know he was on his way over which wasn't out of the ordinary for him to do. So then the detective tells me my story stinks and I need to withdraw my claim because on my interview I didn't disclose that my boyfriend had come to my house. I told him why did I need to disclose who was sleeping in my bed if it had nothing to do with my car. I mean we know now he had something to do with it but I didn't know then. He told me the police detective also had the keys to my car which was a lie. It clearly states on the impound record that they had no keys. Not to mention the car has broken locks and loose wires I guess he didn't read that part of the report. He also told me I was trying to cover for my son's dad to get the car covered. I told him he could arrest him for GTA for all I care. My car was stolen and no matter who stole it I'm the victim and of course I want my car covered. He then said he was denying the claim and sending the case to the Department of Insurance to see if fraud was committed. Im beyond frustrated because I have nothing to do with what my son's dad did. Should I sue?""

Video is no longer the next thing; its the now thing, Macy says. If youre not doing it for your listings, youre doing yourself and your clients a disservice.

The good news is that its never too late to start making videos for your listings. Here are nine steps to make listing videos that will both charm homebuyers and compel sellers to hire you.

1.) Your first decision: hire a videographer or do it yourself?

Not sure how or where to find a videographer? Try these ideas:

Ask other agents for recommendations

Reach out to eager students in the film/video department at your local college or university

Search web sites like Upwork.com, Thumbtack.com and Freelancer.com

If those sites dont have enough choices in your area, check wedding website TheKnot.com many video pros advertise themselves primarily to brides and grooms

A simple, inexpensive gear list for the do-it-yourself real estate agent might include:

Camera: your smartphone, especially if its the latest model

Microphone: Pop voice lavalier microphone (currently $13)

Tripod: UBeesize 5-foot tripod with smartphone mount (currently $35)

Lighting: not needed, use natural light (more on this below)

Editing software: iMovie (included with Apple devices) or Final Cut Pro X (Mac/$300), Adobe Premiere (Mac & Windows/$21 per month), DaVinci Resolve (Mac & Windows/free version or $300)

2.) Dont just start shooting. A great listing video begins with a plan.

Youve given them a guide and something to go by and youll tend to be happier with the results you get back.

If youre making the video yourself, this isnt the time to whip out your phone and record with no focus. A D-I-Y video shoot should begin with preparation like this:

Scout the home inside and out. Look for unique features that you want to highlight, like Macy did with the Harry Potter room. Do this at different times of day, so that you can

YouTube is littered with inactive real estate agent accounts. Many agents try it out, post a few listing videos, then give up when the videos only earn 10-15 views.

Thats a mistake. Listing videos, like most marketing that agents do, are a long-term play.
