I know there's been a lot of the lack of Vaggie's self-worth, which I wish was explored into more. I just think the Vaggie(3rd) episode just wasn't needed at all if it didn't even have an impact. Don't get me started on that episode, it was rushed, too early to have character arcs already, and overall not needed or even should have existed periodt.

I hope they explore it next season because GOD this woman needs TO LOVE HERSELF. OR ATLEAST CARE ABOUT HERSELF LIKE????

Hiii! Since you asked about headcanons/analysis stuff:

There's a common interpretation on the fandom about Max's treatment of David in the early episodes coming, at least partially, from trust issues regarding adults/authority figures. And I've seen push back against it, too. People who say it's just because David is annoyingly positive. Nothing else.

And sure, I can see that. But Nikki also acts in a cheerful manner and mostly enjoys camp, and Max doesn't treat her with the level of rudeness he treated David in season one. This could be due to her being his little partner in crime, but idk. I always interpreted it as him thinking that David is some fake nice adult who will just let him down if he allows it.

And, while I was thinking about this, I realized how this interpretation of Max's behaviour towards David adds another heartbreaking layer to Parents day.

Max's perception of David started changing after Order of the sparrow, specifically after the "Somebody fucking has to" moment. For just a moment, the annoying, overly positive persona drops, and Max is able to see a nuanced human being. And it's clear that he starts understanding David a little more, because in Cult camp (literally the next episode), he allows himself to be brainwashed and trusts that David will save the camp (btw, we as a fandom don’t talk about this aspect of this episode enough).

So yeah, his perception of David changes for the better.

But then, parents day happens.

And David spends most of the episode being an absolute jerk, even if he doesn't realize it.

He pushes SO HARD to try and make the day perfect, basically ignores Max when he states that his parents aren't coming, gets way too serious about playing the role of Max's dad for the day, forces Max into the activities and then, at the end of a day that was already shitty for Max, he yells at him.

I think the context of Max's opinion on David finnaly becoming more positive makes this episode so much sadder.

Because it ceases to be just about Max's neglectful parents.

Now it's also about the closest thing he has to a trustworthy adult making him uncomfortable, ignoring his feelings and then yelling at him and telling him that he "has a bad attitude" and "brings everyone else down instead of trying just a little bit to have fun".

(Which are things he must have heard from adults before, if he behaves the way he does at camp in school and other places)

Remember in Friends like these when he said "Life's just one dissapointment after another. I can't belive I let myself forget it"? I think he might have had the same train of thought here: "I can't believe I let myself forget David is an asshole that only cares about impressing Campbell and making this stupid camp look good". Or: "I can't believe I let myself forget that every single adult thinks I'm a bad kid and a lost cause."

And I know it gets fixed quickly, with David apologizing shortly after, but still. I think the idea of Max being dissapointed at David in Parents day, even if it was just for some moments, is so good.

I also think this is the episode that comfirms to Max that David is genuinely a good person trying his best. He spent the entire day having to think about the fact that his parents suck, and then there's David, who is kind, apologizes for upsetting him and takes him to eat pizza and have a little heartfelt talk.

When was the last time his parents apologized to him, or cared about what he wanted/needed, or talked to him so gently?

The contrast between his parents and David is so big, and I think that's what makes Max finnaly go "Yeah, this guy isn't actually that bad."

hi first of all thank u for an ask and such insightful one at it too !! this was an incredibly pleasant read and a lot of the stuff you say i personally find very good analysis of the show and agree with, however i do have some stuff to say abt it soo here we go ^-^ (this will be a long one so sorry about this in advance)

as i said in some previous reply, max is an incredibly peculiar guy when it comes to the way this show treats his trauma and the way he himself behaves as a result of it, and that’s by design! a lot of the thing he says and does in the first two seasons when it comes to david are there for reasons of narrative set up, and are later masterfully recontextualized by parents day later, leaving very little room for interpretation when it comes to how and why he operates. im gonna go out on a limb and say that i don’t think it’s a stretch to assume that most of his actions towards david in the early show stem from the childish born-from-trauma need for attention and also from his need for societal reinforcement of his own ego’s right to exist. when it comes to the first one i see most people agree (bc it’s a basic child psychology fact), but turn their noses in reference to the second one.

contrary to popular belief, max being in need of constant affirmation that he, as a person with little self value, deserves to exist next to other people is something that we see examples of constantly and is not a terrible part of his character that needs to be ignored. max is a neglect victim who from our knowledge is given very little attention by his parents, as a result of it he is a pessimistic asshole kid whose ego suffers from the very thing that made it this way. its in his strained relationship with nikki and neil, its in him arguing with david to put himself in the position of an adult, its him putting himself above others when it’s not needed and its in him putting his own egos safety first when time comes to accept that things are moving forward (two final episodes from both s3 and s4 are good examples of this). its not an inherently positive trait, but it is one okay for him to have by the virtue of being a young abused child with no support system, and denying it will leave him devoid of this characterization. in freudian (ugh) terms, we cannot separate his character’s superego from his id in a way that won’t harm the way he was intentionally written. Id, ego and superego are all influenced by our relationship with our parents, the amount of nurturing of a child's emotional and psychological needs parents does will result in the child’s psychological state forming a certain way, max as a character who is heavily reliant of his lackluster relationship with his parents is not devoid of this and it affects his relationship with david too. and the reason i’m saying all of this is exactly due to this.

david, when put in most simple terms, is a character who’s an adult figure present and mature enough in max’s current social position that it allows him to treat max as a child, something max is not used to. not used to to such an extent that it puts a strain on his ego in the process. david feeds his need for any form of attention, positive or not, just as much as he clips away at max’s need to be seen as socially important and in a position of an adult. it’s arguable if both of these are good or not but the main thing they are in relation to is obvious: max feels that being an adult who meets both of his psychological needs in ways that are unfamiliar to him makes david an untrustworthy person, thats exactly where you interpretation comes in clutch.

max and his behavior towards david cannot be separated from david being an adult, that is made clear with the way he treats nikki as an equal just because she is a person his age, despite her sharing a lot of david’s traits. going through the episodes you mentioned, order of the sparrow episode lets max see david perspective for the very first time. max is allowed to peek into the reason why david acts the way he does, however it alone doesn’t make him see david in a good light, if anything it makes him appear genuine in his actions. it also lets max have something for david that he didn’t have before: trust. it ends up being used in cult camp as a confirmation of it being something david can live up to (you are absolutely right, we really don’t talk abt this episode and it’s narrative weight enough). all of this has been adding onto the way max himself perceives david, parents day, however, lets both of them internalize the sentiment of mutual understanding towards each other together. parents day does this by lampshading max and david parallelism, making this whole episode consist of max seeing his parents in david just as much as david sees himself in max through the whole show and putting them in each others shoes by the end of it. the episode ends with david choosing max as a priority, he is still acting selfishly (once again david is an asshole) but choosing to do so towards max because the situation allows him to understand max the way s1 finale let max understand him. and with the final turning point in their dynamic, max understands that both his ego and need for attention can exist without them being reinforced by an adult treating him like he is an adult too. max was chosen as a priority for the very first time and that alone made him feel of more value than the treatment he initially yearned for would have. above all else parents day makes max see david as someone he can look up to as a person in emotional way, not only in a life or death situations, the shot of david from his perspective in the end making sure that we don’t miss it.

most of this is not me disagreeing with you, on the opposite i think a lot of the arguments you make are nice and are mindful interaction with the media. gold star for enjoying meta analysis to both of us i guess ⭐️. my main problem is, however, the fact that using all of this to basically say ‘maxs parents suck so he has a distain for david because of it’ is a heavy oversimplification that you somehow go against in your initial statement too and that i, personally, just don’t enjoy. this alone does not make your interpretation wrong though, if anything just reinforces your general idea into a more concrete argument rather than a collection of bits and pieces of evidence pointing to it. hope all of this made sense

A THEORY ABOUT OZAI-

Why was Ozai so cruel?

Fire Lord Ozai is the absolutely malicious and tyrannical main antagonist of the Avatar: The Last Airbender. In the series, he comes across as a cruel, ruthless, and a megalomaniac dictator. Which is why he is often considered as a 2 dimensional cartoon villian with no rich background compared to the other villains like Azula, Zuko (formerly), Hama; Amon, Zaheer...

We never really see his inner struggles or anything complex about his character at all. His only motivation is like "Evil for sake of being evil". That's why some fans complain about his character being too shallow and too cartoonishly evil. And this really stands out when we compare him to rest of the characters, and arguably, they're all more complex characters than Ozai.

But... is this really true?

Could there be something more interesting and tragic about Fire Lord Ozai's character? Do we only see the only a small part of the iceberg? Well, let's find out!

There's literally nothing we know about his childhood or his early ages. All we know is that he was married Ursa when he was 30 and Ursa was 21, Ursa was specifically chosen because she happens to be the granddaughter of Avatar Roku. So, they could have powerful heirs for the Fire Nation. And it actually happened because Zuko and Azula really are exceptionally powerful firebenders.

Another thing we know about him is this panel,

They actually look like a normal, ordinary family here and it hurts. They're on a vocation; Ozai and Ursa just sitting calmly, baby Azula playing with sand, little Zuko running to save a turtle-crab... And when when the wave washed over Zuko, Ozai ran to save him.

Could the whole thing be true or Ozai was lying? I personally don't think it was a lie, because Zuko seems to remember some rare memories of his family being happy once and coming to Ember Island all together. Yes, you can say that Zuko could be an unreliable narrator here since he kinda romanticized those memories... But again, it's what happens with memories. Don't we all remember our childhood as purely innocent and happy? Because we like to remember those happy times and often forget about the bad ones. But the bad times don't erase the good memories! Also, in the "Beach", when Azula came to comfort Zuko, she also seemed a bit depressed. It means she was also missing those happy and innocent times of their life. So no, Zuko's memory was correct and Ozai probably wasn't lying either. Their family had some good times once.

Could it possibly be a redeeming quality for Ozai? Perhaps. However, we all know that it didn't last long. And we also know that Ozai was always sort of like that and Iroh comfirms it in "The Legacy of The Fire Nation" novel

And something interesting here... Iroh admits he sort of blames himself for not being a better guide for his brother. Which makes me think... Did Ozai really ever have a positive influence on his life?

You can arguably say Iroh, but i'd disagree. First of all, there's a huge age gap between Iroh and Ozai. And Iroh was a general who was busy with fighting in battle, such as the siege of Ba Sing Se. So I imagine they didn't really have a chance to spend time together and bond as brothers.

Also, Iroh wasn't exactly a positive influence before the death of Lu Ten. He used to be more ruthless and hungry for glory. Yes, he still was a caring guy towards his family, but he only realized the terrible side of violence and terror after losing his dear son... This is when he finally developed empathy towards everyone, not only for his family. So I don't think he would be able to be a better influence for Ozai when they were younger...

And if not Iroh, who could possibly be a good guidance for Ozai? Azulon? Pfft, yeah right! He definitely favored Iroh over Ozai, and was seen to be cold and harsh towards his son. So nope, he was an abusive father and far from being a good guidance.

But... What about his mother? What happened to her?

The only thing we know about Iroh and Ozai's mother is her name, Ilah. And she was married to Fire Lord Azulon. There's literally nothing else we know about her. So, we don't know what kind of a relationship she had with Ozai either.

And that's why I have this theory in my mind! Could it be that Ilah died when she was giving birth to Ozai? And maybe that's why Azulon was cold and cruel to Ozai?

The death on childbirth was a common incident during middle age and in the earlier ages too. Unfortunately, it still can happen in modern world too... But thankfully, it's a rare incident now due the modern advantages.

So yes, it's very possible that Lady Ilah to die on the childbirth. Because we never see her in the series nor in the comics. If she was alive at the moment, she would totally show up on Ozai and Ursa's wedding. But she didn't, which means she was long gone, at least for like 20 years. But since neither Iroh or Ozai mentions her for once, we can assume that she died very long ago.

Could this be why Iroh turned out to be a caring and compassionate person towards his own family? Because he had maternal love and support? Well, he obviously didn't get that from Azulon (even though Azulon seemed to care for Iroh and Lu Ten in a certain level). And that might be why Ozai became a cold and cruel jerk, because he never had this kind of love and support in his life.

And it also explains Azulon's bad treatment towards Ozai, reminds me of how Tywin Lannister despised his son Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire. Tywin hated his son Tyrion because he was a dwarf and also because he "killed" his mother in childbirth

So maybe Azulon was going full Tywin on Ozai and blamed him for "killing" his own mother.

If that's the case, it makes a ton of sense for Ozai's character! Because he never really had a chance to redeem himself and grow up in a healthy environment. He was being told that he was a killer since he was born and accused with killing his own mother. I can totally imagine Azulon telling him that he is "An ill-made, spiteful creature. Full of lust and low cunning" (Quote from Tywin Lannister), or maybe even calling him a "monster"?

If this theory is true, then it makes sense for Ozai's character and why he became a brutal, ruthless and narcissistic person.

And let's not forget, narcissism isn't only a personality disorder but also a coping mechanism. Narcissists actually have fragile egos and low self-esteems. That's why they fake confidence and a false sense of grandiosity as a self-defense mechanism. The exact reasons of narcissism is not known, but researchers show that both genetic and environmental factors are in it. And it's very possible to occur because of a trauma or abuse too.

So maybe Ozai was crushed under the abuse and pressure of being "guilty" for killing his mother in childbirth, and he found comfort in creating a false sense of superiority.

And this also might be why Iroh and Ozai became distant towards each other. Ozai was probably jealous of Azulon's nicer treatment towards Iroh. So he didn't want to be around him and see how their father treats him better, because it would remind him of the fact that he was the unfavorite child. And from Iroh's aspect, maybe he was devastated after the death of his mother and wanted to distance himself from Ozai for it? Yes, it doesn't really sound like something that the Iroh we know would do. But again, we really don't know the Iroh before Lu Ten's death, but he surely cared about his family so much. And maybe that's why he distanced himself from Ozai because he took away a part of his family? And because of Azulon, Iroh probably didn't have a chance to accept Ozai a part of his family at this point. And when he did, it was probably too late. The damage was done. Ozai already became a narcissistic jerk and a potential tyrant.

So, that's my headcanon about Ozai's evilness. You can agree or disagree with it. If you have different thoughts, please feel free to share them with me

Finished Thunder! Here are my thoughts (spoilers obviously):

SQUIRRELSTAR SQUIRRELSTAR WE WON

Oh my I have so many mixed feelings on this book. I mean first of all I'm so excited for Squirrelstar but I digress. Also I'm pretty good with Ivypool deputy, I was rooting for Twigbranch but she was my second option :)

Frostpaw and Whistlepaw's friendship was so cute, Whistlepaw cares so much for her :) and I loved the bonding between Frostpaw and Nightheart, they're such good friends. It's nice to see Nightheart with someone with problems a lot worse than his, gives him some perspective.

The fact that Frostpaw was spayed is... interesting. I hope the story team doesn't make her be a medicine cat because "hey i can't have kits what's even the point of being a warrior :(" in real life TNR is great but from the perspective of humanized cats it feels so awful :(. Im not entirely against the plotline, I just hope it's handled well.

I hate Riverstar in this book he's so annoying and OOC. I did like the fact that they essentially sent Frostpaw to therapy to work through some of her trauma though lmao. Waffle is so cute, and I love Rook and Bee. I felt Wasp was a bit of an odd choice to come back to the Clans but whatever.

CURLFEATHER COMFIRMED EVIL YES our first main series female villain and she's complex?? She's awful and she used her kid, but she still loves her enough to sacrifice her life?? That's so cool. Splashtail is fine ig

Nightheart really did not need a POV this book lmao he just spent it worrying about Sunbeam. I do like that he's learning he's not the main character though lol, and again his friendship with Frostpaw is so sweet.

Sunbeam was sooo good this book I loved how they showed her learning to want to be in ThunderClan for ThunderClan, not just Nightheart. And she girlbossed when she stood up to her mom and Cherryfall, she's no longer a pushover! Character development.

I will say that argument at the start of the book between Bramble and Squirrel was stupid like ah yes the perfectly mentally capable woman somehow walked STRAIGHT INTO ANOTHER CLANS TERRITORY without realizing but somehow Bramble with his deteriorating mental state is right. Not misogynistic at all

The ending with Berryheart was so anticlimactic and awful like she gets exiled for?? Expressing that she doesn't agree with her leader?? What the actual fuck??? I know she's xenophobic but she's not being exiled for that, she's being exiled for exercising her rights. Thanks I hate it! I wanted her to get kicked for like. Getting someone killed, or starting a fight, not this bullshit. Also Puddleshine miss me with that shit about how "one grudge can exploit this new code" like yeah ok but he's fucking invading and controlling another Clan, even if he has good intentions that's still a fair thing to be mad about?? (To be fair though Berryheart was being more xenophobic than on the side of RiverClan's freedom so I guess I can see where Puddleshine's coming from. I guess)

Speaking of why are all the protagonists so forgiving of Tigerheartstar like "he invaded, beat up, threatened to kill, and forcefully took control of this Clan and gets mad when people question him but he just has good intentions UwU" like no.

Splashstar real? That's going to be interesting. And I'm excited to see more of Podlight as a character

Overall an ok book, probably my least favourite of the arc so far but I still enjoyed most of it

I did not wake up to rio's route announced. I am gonna make onw last pre route rant so buckle up

[Know what? Fuck it I'm summoning the Rio haters I need someone else's input on this cuz i am like. Obviously biased and wearing rose coloured glasses @vivifucksthevillian @violettduchess ]

Cuz something occurred to me

The Fundamental...underlying dynamic of Rio and Emma's relationship changes depending on if you're in his route or not.

Like I've been mad about the lack of rio before but now I've realised some of it is because of that fundamental aspect.

All the way back when i first opened the app and read the prologue, Emma says "I've accepted that true love is something I'll never have for myself" (or smt like that) and the very next thing I see is Rio. And He brought me food he made and is offering to watch the store so I can go look at stuff around the town and if you're me you think "???? BITCH THE FUCK YOU WAITING FOR??? HE'S RIGHT THERE! HOW'S HE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU!?" and then i learn about the amnesia and I'm like "oh.red flag. Understandable."

Now. The way that that line's meaning specifically changes in Hindsight depending on if you're in Rio's route or not is that in Rio's route, It's a mutual crush with both of them holding back. (They literally give each other special made chocolate on Valentine's day but no they are not dating or anything) in other routes, it's Rio having a one sided crush.

I only remember reading one translation of one early scene in Rio's route that also makes clear this distinction and makes it clear that Emma also has intrusive crush thoughts about Rio.

I'm talking about that time they were drinking tea and catching each other staring and Emma thinking to herself that Rio's pretty and then catching herself like "but I'm NOT falling in love or anything"

I cannot recall any of this nuance in someone else route event or main. But the again there aren't... A lot of other characters I would rush to play the event route of.

I feel like this does a bit of a disservice to Rio's character because it's ONE thing when it's him having an required crush and Emma's like "i just like him as a friend" and ANOTHER when she's like "i might have a little crush but I. Literally don't know anything about where he's from and it's been 3 years and nothing's happened, he's always looking after me but he doesn't really open up to me and I don't wanna possibly ruin our friendship so should I jist get over it?"

And idk. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ᵐᵃʸᵇᵉ she felt like that at some point in other timelines but got over it by the point where the story starts but she doesn't in rio's cuz it's ♥*♡∞:｡.｡t r u e l o v e ｡.｡:∞♡*♥

But we never get an indication EITHER way. Like like they hanged out together on valentines and christmas for 3 years I do not remember them mentioning in other events if that still HAS happened or not. (Someone please comfirm or deny this) Their interactions are mostly kept on surface level except for a look Rio gives here and there and Emma's like "i have literally never seen that look on your face before what the fuck does that mean" which I guess... Makes sense... The prologue has to be a neutral zone, and her character changes slightly depending on who's route you're in cuz cybird has learned to think about what kinda woman the suitor would fall for AND what kinda woman would fall for each suitor (gestures to the literally masterpiece that is Clavis' route) and also there's info they keep close to the chest and save it for the route. If they added more hints like that they'd run the risk of making MC unreletable cuz.... *chuckles* instead of having me go "where's rio?" "IT'S NOT EVEN HIS ROUTE" you'd have others go "Here's Rio" "IT'S NOT EVEN HIS ROUTE" (as if Chev's route doesn't have moments that is literally like "Here's Clavis" "IT'S NOT EVEN HIS ROUTE") and " yeah no that wouldn't be me. I wouldn't have a crush on Rio cuz I hate him/i only see him as a friend.

BUT I STILL FEEL LIKE IT HURTS RIO'S IMAGE AND IT PISSES ME OFF SORRY IF YOU DON'T LIKE HIM BUT-

*slaps table* It makes him come off as more pushy than he actually is. Like yeah he's a simp and a deredere bUT-

in Rio's Christmas event, which is in his POV, Nokto literally points out how despite how obviously whipped he is for Emma and how he says he loves her all the time he hasn't REALLY made a proper move on her. He hasn't tried his luck. He had Emma almost all to himself for 3 YEARS AND DID NOTHING (mood tho). Rio contemplates to himself how he cannot remember anything from before met Emma but he gets this very bad feeling that if he ever gets his memory back he will ne torn away from her and. It would be unfair to her.

These occasions, that are supposed to be for lovers, are also when he thinks about how one day Emma will have a lover and she will spending this time with him and he will lose her. Like. That's just. An inevitability to him. (Abandonment issues is a bitch)

RIO NEVER SHOOTS HIS SHOT. NOT REALLY. *blantantly ignores silvio's route cuz idk wtf went down there* He always eventually backs down and lets her be with whoever Emma choses! He's more okay with some of the suitors than others ( "i cannot be mad at Prince Yves, he's a nice guy" vs *strained angry smile* "You're telling me King Chevalier has not contacted you for a whole week since you've been to see him and confess your undying love-" *he gives his blessing after Chev does his grand gesture*)

HE FEELS GUILT OVER THE SLIGHTEST COURTING GESTURE HE DOES LIKE "i have no right to push my feelings onto her like that"

And here's the real kicker, EMMA INVITED HIM TO SPEND CHRISTMAS WITH HIM. These, and others, are things that Emma has done to befriend him and make him feel welcomed in a foreign land, where he had no family or memories. That's all after she literally saved his life despite being a complete stranger. No wonder he's whipped.

BUT HE NEVER SHOOTS HIS SHOT cuz he's afraid of losing even the friendship he already has. He doesn't go "here are my feelings. You are my whole world and I love" CUZ HE THINKS THOSE WOULD BE A BURDEN

and I have to sit here like. Who hurt you? I want names. He's literally like a puppy who got abandomed in the street and now he has abandomed issues. It extends to how he only wants her to see his good side too as if being anything other than happy go lucky and helpful is a crime

AND IDK GUYS IF I LIKE. HAD A BEST FRIEND THAT I HANGED OUT WITH ON CHRISTMAS AND SUCH I FEEL LIKE I WOULD. NOT JUST FORGET ABOUT THEM ONCE I HAVE A BF. I KNOW EMMA CAN GET TUNNER VISION BUT I ALSO FEEL LIKE I'M NOT ASKING FOR TOO MUCH HERE. WE DON'T EVEN GET A "I'm finally spending christmas/valentines with someone other than Rio"

I can only hope that it can occur to Rio to take a "well. She would have fallen for me if it was meant to be" view but idk man... I feel like crying for him...

Oh and Rio's route is literally the only one where i don't get to complain "but it's kinda unrealistic. I definitely would never fall in love with someone in one month" cuz actually. Taking 3 years to get a crush on someone sounds painfully realistic to me.....

Nothing scheduled today, Papyrus finally taking a day off to hang out with Undyne... Yup. Today was the best day to relax... A day to just be even more lazy, a da- "Sans!" someone shouted, bursting through the door. Oh, it was Frisk.

"oh, wassup?" Sans waved.

"I called you five times already and you didn't pick up or reply to my texts!!!" Frisk exclaimed.

"oh sorry. left my phone upstairs heh."

"Well grab your phone and let's just get going already I guess."

"going where?"

"To the study lounge outside the library you bonehead. Did you forget about our meet up?"

Oh, right! He knew he was missing something today. "ah... ok, give me a moment." Sans said, before teleporting upstairs to grab his phone. "ok i'm ready, let's go frisk."

"Aren't you gonna teleports us there since we're already 25 minutes late?" Frisk questioned.

"oh right, forgot I could do that heh."

Sans held out his hand as he spoke. Frisk rolled her eyes in amusement and grabbed it.

The study lounge usually didn't have many people since the library had aircon while the study lounge didn't. Both of them usually chose that spot since Frisk always felt the library was too cold. Moreover, they kinda liked the privacy the place provided. The best place to study without any disturbance.

As time flew by, sans stumbled across something peculiar to him. "hey frisk? can I comfirm something?" Sans tapped Frisk's shoulder.

"Yeah?"

"this book states humans have 12 pairs of ribs... is there a typo? or is it true."

"It's not wrong. Why? Do you have a different number of ribs?"

Sans looked a little surprised, "well yeah. I only have 10 pairs... weird. humans are weird."

"Pff- says the guy that's close friends with a human. Anyways, would it be fine if I checked to see if you really have 10 pairs of ribs? I'm curious now." It was interesting to Frisk how human anatomy and skeleton monsters were so similiar yet so different. But technically skeleton monsters weren't exactly skeletons from humans so it made sense.

"uh well I rather not do it in public.. you know" Sans commented.

"Oh, no, I didn't mean show it to me, I can just try feeling it through ur clothing if that's alright with you."

"well, if that's the case then it's... fine, just do it."

"You sure? I wouldn't want to do something your not comfortable with."

"nah, it's fine. I'm okay with it."

Well... If he said it was alright then alright. Frisk started slowly moving down Sans ribs, counting slowly as she made her way down. All the while, she was oblivious to Sans. There was a reason why he was hesitant.

Sans could feel the slight laughter threatening to slip out. He had to use all of his will power to not move or make any sudden twitches. That, and the fact that he was trying not to grin like an idiot even though it was fruitless.

"snrk-!" it slipped. Welp, all of his efforts were in vain because of that one slip up.

"Uh Sans? You alright? I heard you-" Frisk stopped as she scanned Sans's half covered face. After a few seconds, it clicked. "Oh wait... Are you, ticklish?" Frisk then started scribbling a little harder.

This time Sans pushed on her arm, clearly knowing she was doing it on purpose now. "kh! w-wahait we're a-hat the st-studehe lounge n-now. Theherse p-people studying." Sans stuttered, trying to control his laughter from pouring out.

"Okay, I guess I can lay off this new discovery. For now." Frisk snickered and stopped. "Don't think for a second I'm letting this off though."

Sans whimpered. Time to stay in his room for the next few years. "can we jus get back to reading...?" He pleaded

Frisk gave him a thumbs up and continued to read up on how human souls worked. Occasionally chuckling as she saw Sans ever so often darting his eyes towards Frisk and back to his book.

A few days after the incident, Frisk had planned to have a sleepover at the brothers' house. It was always a blast when the two were around. She couldn't wait to finally relax after studying for one whole week, straight.

Ding! The doorbell sounded. Papyrus was cooking up some lunch, which was finally something other than spaghetti, so he couldn't get the door. "SANS! Can you get the door for me?" Papyrus exclaimed from the kitchen.

"ok" Sans replied, as always.

"oh, sup." Sans greeted Frisk.

"Hey Sans. The food actually smells good for once. Papyrus's been taking classes?" Frisk asked.

"yup. wannna stay in my room while we wait?"

"Sure!"

Frisk stated walking up the stairs to Sans's room, only to find out he had taken a shortcut up there. Typical Sans. When Frisk opened the door, as usual, it was a mess. His bed was no more than a mattress on the floor, with a table, a beanbag and a chair beside it. On the table there was a few sketches and books layed out in a pile. Near the entrance to the right, there was a bookshelf full of science books and a few new additions from the last time you visited. Frisk could see Sans sitting comfortably on the beanbag reading a book. As if he had been waiting for Frisk for a long time.

"so, i've recently been reading more about humans. gotta say, pretty weird. guess that's why you were so confused on how i worked, with how all your organs work and stuff." Sans had always thought humans worked similiar to monsters. Sure, he knew they were different, but he didn't know they were extremely different. They did have souls anyways, though he hadn't found a book talking much about human souls which was unfortunate.

Frisk walked over and sat on the chair, all while listening attentively to what Sans had to say. "Yeah, just like how I was surprised you only had 10 pairs of ribs. Speaking of which, I haven't really gotten the chance to count them since last time, have I? And I still have my doubts..." She chipped in.

Sans eyes widened for a brief moment before eyeing Frisk, "d-don't you dare."

"I am also kind of curious how you manage to feel without nerves... I might need to conduct an experiment to find out." Frisk continued.

At this point Sans had wrapped his hands around his sensitive ribs, zipping up his jacket. However, Sans did have a trick up his sleeve to counter Frisk's attack. He did have a knack for observing expressions to tell what their next move would be. In addition, while Frisk was still babbling on, now would be the best time to strike. Now just any attack though, a surprise attack. He could teleport and he was going to use it to his advantage. And that was what he did.

However, Frisk knew, she knew that Sans would retaliate. So the moment he teleported, she turned behind her, expecting to catch him off guard. Though, she was the one who got caught off guard. Sans being Sans, knew full well that Frisk expected something like that. So instead of teleporting behind her, he teleported in front of her. Sans then engulfed Frisk into a bear hug and digged into her sides. Frisk yelped and tried to get away but Sans grip was too strong. Who knew he could actually be decently strong? "!? SAhAnnNs aha! Pfhaaha waahaaittt!"

"you were the one who started this frisk, heh."

No! Frisk couldn't let a silly skeleton overpower her. She had to retaliate! Among her struggles, she managed to catch a hold of Sans's wrist. With much effort, she finally turned the tables. Frisk pulled one of Sans hands above his head and scribbled on his ribs. "crahahaap! frihiskk nohoo, ahem sorrhee!! nahaa-" Sans flailed. Guess he hadn't though that Frisk could get the upperhand so quickly. He should have used his gravity magic on her.

"I started this and I plan to finish it!" Frisk exclaimed. "Now let's see.. How many ribs... 1, 2.."

No matter how Sans struggled and pushed, he couldn't get rid of Frisk's teasing fingers. "aeheh alreheady tohold yaha it wahaaas 10 pahahairrss!!! staaaahaap ghaaha!" Sans tried teleporting or using his magic to push frisk away, but he couldn't focus enough to use it. His magic, though was very powerful, was not trained enough. Damn, he should start training with Pap if this was going to be a thing that Frisk would do now. Now that was a joke of course, he probably would just practice dodging instead.

"Well, I still need to make sure don't I~? 6...7.." Frisk teased.

"thihis iss juhuust cruhuehel- nohooo nahaht theeheere!!!" Sans snorted. "ghaahaha plheheaasee!-" The poor guy kicked and flailed but nothing helped. Uncontrollably laughter continued to pour out.

"Juuust a little more~ I could always go faster~~" Frisk cooed "10..11..12.."

"wahaahait! nahaahaa dohoon't, ahaa! cohome ohonn-"

After what seemed to be an eternity for Sans... "And... 20!" Frisk release the poor guy.

"hff.. hf.. thahnk g.. hff god." Sans panted, slumping to the ground. He lied on his back, facing the ceiling as he closed his eyes.

"Pfft. You alright there Sans?" Frisk chuckled. She handed Sans a bottle of water she found on his desk.

Sans nodded, accepting the water and gulping it down. Afterwards, he looked up at his alarm clock. Damn, it had only been 7 minutes and he was already tired. However, he still had some energy... And he knew exactly how he was going to use it. After a few minutes of chilling in Sans room, the both of them heard Papyrus call them for lunch.

As they walked out, Sans called out to Frisk. "Yeah?" She responded. Sans was about to speak, but stopped himself.

Instead, he replied, "uh nevermind. i wanted to tell ya somethin' but i forgot heh."

Frisk gave him a confused look but continued walking down the stairs. Sans being Sans. When Frisk turned towards the stairs, Sans casual grin turned into a smirk. Guess Frisk forgot that Sans has a tendancy to side with justice.

Like Cheka at the age of 10 starts to listen to albums of Yuu's songs and gets autograph stuff from them. He evens tasted to make songs of some! He's really good.

He is the sweet little kid he always was but he can turn to 100 really quick just like Yuu taught him. He was a year above Malleus's and Yuu's kid Draco. He rushed to him and asked if they could be friends. Draco agreed and Cheka told him stories of his parent and dad he got from Leona. Draco them goes into the different songs Yuu dedicated to. Draco has 10 songs Yuu made for him.

Yuu was delighted when Draco took Cheka home for the weekend and got to see Leona again. Malleus dosen't care if Yuu does songs as long as their safe. Yuu made abig name for themselves with big names supporting them too.

what IS wrong with a headcanon of Asra being afab and autistic?

Well hi there ✨

Let me explain why this is wrong.

Understand that no hate comes from my words and I am simply trying to explain. If afterward you disagree with my statement feel free to ( nicely ) explain your point of view. I will not go in a debate but I would be interested in reading it to understand.

I have neither read the routes nor the synopsis of the routes so I can't judge based on what is actually in it, it can be good as it can be bad but I am not focusing on that I am focusing on what is used for promotion.

For starters, there is nothing wrong with having personal headcanons that aren't hurtful so, in the case I saw someone saying they hc Asra as autistic because of an observation they did then there would be no problem but the afab one is hurtful. For a reminder to people who are unaware Afab stands for Assigned female at birth and Asra is canonly Amab ( assigned male at birth ) BUT nonbinary. His identity is a representation of the nonbinary community and a good one as it's casual and goes against the stereotypes that "you need to be androgynous or not pass as your assigned gender to be nonbinary." "having any feminine trait or action makes you a woman."

The term trans and nonbinary can be used differently from person to person but what I telling here is that Asra has a specific gender identity that matters to many. A lot of people misgender him because there either are not aware of his identity or because they are against it, changing it is erasing it.

Making Asra afab is erasing his already queer identity, it put the stereotype that nb people who show signs of feminity or androgyny are immediately considered girls. Taking away an already existing représentation to put another one instead is hurtful.

Nope it is canon and comfirmed :

There is no subtext or signs that Asra may be afab and if you want you can compare him to Rainier ( from monster manor, fictif games, written by one of the Arcana writers ) Rainier is canon Afab trans, it's here in subtext and it got confirmed by the creator when people started to make the hc.

Do you want to hc Asra as afab because you like the character and want him to be closer to you? Sure, that's your business but this does not apply here and let me switch to the main reason :

This headcanon is promoted as the same level of canon on the main Instagram account to attract a specific type of people with the marketing that queerness and neurodivergence are trends.

I would have not had this réaction if it was someone going on their days and having those headcanons. I would have still tought about what I said about erasing Amab's nonbinary identity but it would not have mattered because in that context it's a personal creation and I have no right to dictate how people have to feel about their personal creative space.

This is not the case, Dorian is promoting it on the main account that has 117k of followers. This is not simply doing headcanons, it's having your headcanon put in the spotlight with the idea of it attracting people through information that is not confirmed.

I have a big dislike for the Dorian marketing tactic of using the fan content of a well-known ID to milk them more audience but they are a company and this tactic works for them and for people using it to get big promotions and that a fact.

By doing so there is a mix of what is canon and what is not, blurring the line between personal interpretations that can hurt some community and real content that has been the fondation to create a community.

Yeah that's what I do, I do not engage with Dorian's content but you can't force me to turn a blind eye on the immense game that is the arcana.

The arcana is and has been notorious for being queer-friendly as a well-known free Otome. The fanbase is HUGE and you can't deny how it impacted a lot of Otome players (like myself). This was one of the most important queer spaces for otome players and still is. It helped people figure out their queer identity ( like me figuring out I was nonbinary after learning that Asra was and doing research afterward ) and have representation trough an enjoyable fiction. As someone still in the otome community and in fandoms that is close to the arcana ( last legacy on Fictif and Touch Starved by red spring studio ), it would be impossible for me to never look at what it become. The og game had its problem that I acknowledge but one thing it got right was its queer representation.

Now going back on the main topic.

Dorian is not Nyx Hydra. Nyx Hydra had its wrong with the promotion of some queerbaiting stuff but at its core, promoting queer games in an environment where there was almost none was a good thing. Dorian does not promote queer content because they want it to be seen and help the queer community, they are promoting queer content as a marketing strategy with the idea that queerness is marketable ( view this tactic as the same as a company selling pride stuff because it gives them a good image ). This applies also to neurodivergence.

Neurodivergence has never been a focus in the Arcana but is a perfectly good topic to explore in fan space. Why? Because it does not have to be focused on, it does not have to be put in your face. The story has never been about autism in any way and the only reason they would put it on focus is because they apply the same tactic as with promoting queerness: it's marketable. Making Asra autistic is not a problem it would be delightful to have a canon autistic LI in a big game ( like cove holden yes I am doing the olba propaganda here ) but it is not canon and trying to squeeze it as a main topic 7 years after it's release feels like an add on rather than a real representation.

Because queerness and neurodivergence are more talked about nowadays media companies are jumping on it to promote themselves. People against it are gonna drag the game and in that way make a promotion out of it and people in this community will check it out because they want to be represented. Again I am not talking about the routes themselves, I don't know the writers, and I don't know their content I am talking about Dorian.

Those promoted headcanons harm the queer community. We already have an existing queer story, changing it with new things on an almost canon level ( because it's promoted by the owner of canon content ) is erasing what we already had and making the new queer labels look bad. Think for a second, some people are gonna see the afab tag and get angry about it because "hey it was supposed to be a man nb" and start to hate on the creators, people who like the hc and possibly afab arcana creator with stigmatization. I am not even exaggerating, this can create hate within the community and even if it comes from a good heart this is not the way it should be added in the fandom.

I think I came across all the points I wanted to try to explain and I tried to really make it understandable to someone for who English isn't their first language.

All my opinions and views on that matter are not to be taken as an exact voice, I am only one player along with thousands of other people but if someone like me feels it should be addressed it's 100% sure that at least a couple of other people feels the same way or agree on some statement.

If you read this far this is a reminder that this is not an open door to start harassing or spreading hate to anyone and I hope my post helped understand what I tried to communicate. Always have critics on what you like and understand it's wrong and good.

I'm agree with your meta about gods ready to take choice away from the family who worksips Father. And how it's bad and kinda comfirm what father accuses Heaven to do.

But does Father really care for this family, does he really see them as egal? He sees people as tools (Yato, Nora, Yukine, ect..), he abused his own child (Yato, Nora) and manipules them into thinking that that's love, as soon that someone isn't agree with him anymore, he resort to manipulation, abuse and violence and sometime murder. He helped to plot Bishamon murder/forced reincarnation (failed) and planned Ebisu forced reincarnation to take the koto (sucess). He doesn't care how much people, shinkis or gods suffer or die as long he has what he want.

Ebisu and Take face a choice right. But do they have really a choice in the matter? Father can't be stopped otherwhise. He's dangerous. He says that he wanted to strike gods but doesn't care how much humans will suffer in the way. What he did with Yukine and the net was not good (for me it was a kind of brainwashing).

Yes they were ready to took the choice away and that's bad, tht's what Father accuse the gods of. but i think that they didn't see any other choice they weren't happy about it. They come with the idea to destroy a grave only.

It's not like if Father was benevolent, sadly because then this choice woudn't happen. Even if the godness of sun herself treated him a a child doing a tantrum, he's very dangerous.

Yeah all is a matter of choice. A horrible and unfair choice. Yato would have cut the bounds against their will, but Take can't do that.

The gods had the choice to kill the familly and cut the way to come back to life of Father, or leave them and having a dangerous guy causing havoc and destruction, and not only to gods but to humanity too (i mean with what happen in the last chapters, the gods face a even worst choice to protect humanity from Father's plan). What they could have done? It's not like if they had more time to think about it.

And this choice is horrible. And Take and Ebisu weren't happy to have this choice to do. And i'm happy that they didn't need to kill them. Take himself said that he felt bad to have manipuled the old man into make him believe that they would do the soul ritual after his death (they can't since they're gods) but they needed to cut father's way to come back again and again, because nothing else can stop him.

i agree with some of your points, but i don’t think whether father cared specifically for that family or not is pertinent to the situation. he cares (and i use that term lightly) about humanity in general, not specific people, similarly to how gods do (tenjin saying “gods are incapable of loving humans” lives in my brain bc it applies to all gods, but also to father and that could tie into ‘becoming what you hate’ but i digress!). he uses yato, mizuchi and yukine as tools, though i believe he does love them (or at least, he believes he loves them) in his own semi-fucked up way. he holds anger towards gods and their associates for holding up and reinforcing heaven’s system, which father perceives as fundamentally unfair and wrong, so i don’t think him planning the murder/reincarnation of gods really speaks to whether or not he cares about humanity. to father, gods and humans are completely separate entities, and what he does to one isn’t necessarily what he’d do to the other. every ‘wrong’ or ‘morally reprehensible’ or ‘shitty’ thing we’ve seen him do has been to gods, shinki, or associates of gods like hiyori, which likely makes him lump them into a single category. even if hiyori’s human, he still can’t see her as anything more than someone associated with heaven (+ him not caring about specific humans, just humanity in general)

ebisu and takemikazuchi just having and considering the choice of whether or not to kill/sever the ties of that family proves them to be what father believes all gods are, regardless of intentions. and really, i think intent is the least important part of this discussion! it’s the fact that gods are above humans in pretty much every possible way, and they can use that power as they see fit, because “a god’s decision is always the right one”. it’s about the fact that ebisu and takemikazuchi (and any god, for that matter) can takes lives, sever ties, and completely alter the life of humans with zero consequences. it’s about the fact that the humans have no input on a decision that can permanently alter their lives, and how they most likely won’t even realize what was taken away, or will forget, due to the separation of the near and far shore (think hiyori completely forgetting about yato and yukine when yato goes back to father despite the fact that they changed her and her life).

it’s a morally gray situation, and arguments can be made for either side. if gods are so above humanity, why are they incapable of stopping a human like father? if heaven isn’t unjust, why should kind people like that family have to suffer? does heaven not fully take father seriously specifically because he is, or was, human and isn’t on their level? should takemikazuchi and ebisu even be able to consider that choice, and not have to tell the people affected? does them feeling guilty absolve them of the fact that they manipulated a human, a being who is supposed to be beneath them, yet they’re supposed to serve? are the humans in the wrong for calling father again and again? should they even be judged by heaven’s standards if they don’t know the whole situation? does the situation absolve takemikazuchi and ebisu of the cycle, or are they perpetuating it anyway? should ebisu and takemikazuchi be judged for perpetuating the cycle when it’s all they’ve ever known and they’re products of a system? do the ends justify the means? like i wrote in the tags of that post, the immediate dilemma of the situation was the question of whether their needs (killing father) were worth taking a choice (without consent) from someone else, and if it was an okay to do it if the affected party wouldn’t even realize that a choice was taken away. and this, of course, can lead to bigger discussions like this one jaja

it’s a super complicated situation and an argument can be made for either side, and that’s at the core of the manga itself, which i love! thanks for sharing your thoughts! i love discussing noragami <33

ADMIN JESSE AU

Everything I'm bout to say is based on what the MCSM wiki says the admins can do. Not sure if everything on there is canon but OH WELL

That's the wiki page I based my stuff on.

Also I'm gonna divide everything into categories based on how I think them being admin would affect canon (such as his relationships, the storyline, etc.).

One last thing also, I'll be using he/they pronouns for Jesse. Not that this would affect anything in the AU, I just wanted to note that before we get into the notes. (Sorry to ppl who prefer the girl version of Jesse btw)

RELATIONSHIPS

I think it would've mostly affected his relationship. Would he hidden the fact that he was an admin? I mean we do see Romeo shapeshiting so I don't see why Jesse wouldn't hide as we already know them to look like (depeding on what the player chooses ofc) or something.

I don't think Jesse would've openly said "hey did you know I'm an admin?" to Axel and Olivia and especially not random people. If I remember correctly people in the MCSM universe don't even believe that admins actually existed (until the end of season 2 at least), so yeah I think he would've kept that to themself. 

ALSO Would he have known they had OP powers? I mean I guess besides shapeshiting, WOULD THEY EVEN KNOW??? HOW OP HE ACTUALLY IS??? I think it'd be lowkey funny to see Jesse think to himself like "Oh yeah I can shapeshift, that's cool..." and moves on with his day like it's a normal thing. Logically I don't think he'd know that he was an admin, since no one believes them to be real, I imagine that info about them would be very rare and limited.

I don't think him being an admin would change much of Season 1 anywho, he'd shapeshift but that would be it. He still befriends Lukas, goes to find Soren, you know the deal.

For the Witherstorm, I think for one that Jesse would've been able to save Reuben from dying. Since it says on the wiki that admins can use telekinesis maybe while destroying the command block he'd subconsciously wish for Reuben not to fall and surprise Reuben starts slowly descending instead. Sure he'd be like "Oh phew" but also has no time to sit and ask "Wait how'd I do that? Did I do that??" since he has to focus on destroying the command block.

Small conclusion: Jesse wouldn't know that they are an admin, just that he can shapeshift. Despite that he keeps those powers to himself.

STORYLINE

I think the biggest change to the storyline would be Romeo's motivations. I mean he tried to keep the admins together once, who says he wouldn't do it again? Though I think Romeo would have a hunch on Jesse being an admin but his theory being comfirmed when they put on the prismarine gauntlet.

Imagine in the ice palace after Jesse and his gang win the clock challenge, this is how I imagine Romeo and Jesse's dialogue would go.

Romeo: And here I thought I'd never see another admin again

Jesse and the gang: ???

Romeo: UGH I'm talking about you Jesse.

Jesse: I'm not an admin though??

[awkward silence]

Romeo: You're joking right?

Jesse being clueless about the fact they're an admin is something I imagine would happen. So then Romeo mentions all the weird things that happened, his ability to shapeshift, Reuben slowly descending instead of falling the moment Jesse wishes for his pig's safety. You know all that jazz.

Obvioulsy Jesse and the gang would be to stunted to speak, in shock, I suppose. Imagine being told by someone you just met (that somehow knows everything you've accomplished so far down in near perfect details) that you aren't exactly human. I mean I'd be shocked too.

Then I can imagine panic or just very awkward stunned silence setting in the group while Romeo just floats in the corner like "Ah yes sweet sweet drama".

Small conclusion: Romeo wants to keep the admins to stick together, like the actual game. He learns and eventually reveals that Jesse's actually an admin in the ice palace.

BONUS ✨DAD FRED / ADMIN FAMILY AU✨

Before I get more into this I have to specify what I think a family would look like in minecraft. Personally I think if the babies would just spawn, that in itself is lowkey funny BUT there's still some requirements to meet.

Both parents have to agree and have to come to terms with the responsabilities of raising a kid. Said parents also would have 9 month to prepare the house so that the child may grow up as comfortably as possible.

Also lets ditch the nuclear family idea and say that in minecraft, raising kids is done collectively, as a community. So if the parents have difficulties or straight up just aren't suitable to raise a child, another adult can take the kid in.

I also think orphanages would work differently, as in, if the parents weren't suitable to raise their child, they'd dropped the kid off there. Either to get more ready to welcome the child home or for the kid to get raised by the whole community instead.

Obviously there's still cracks in that system and all but let's say this'll do for the AU.

So going into headcanons now,

I think Fred actually really loved to visit humans from time to time and that he was actually quite beloved among most villages and bigger towns. Fred would have like a human apperance though to blend in.

So time skip Fred's getting a kid YAY, you wouldn't guess who it is. THAT'S RIGHT IT'S THE LOVABLE JESSE!! WOO!! By the way the admin family would go something like this, Fred is Jesse's bio dad, Romeo's the cool uncle and Xara's the chill aunt. (I don't ship Romeo and Xara by the way, they act more like siblings that eventually sadly fell apart to me).

So Fred takes care of Jesse in his young years (0 to like 5 y.o) until eventually the tension between the three admins start to get to much and he becomes worried for his child's safety.

Fred (being beloved by literally everyone he's ever met) drops off Jesse at an orphanage explaining sadly that he isn't able to take care of him anymore. (Which he would be, but with the admin drama getting worse by the day, it's not safe for him to care for Jesse). The villagers are of course eager to help Fred and take Jesse under their wing.

Said village would eventually be revealed to be Binta's town in the underneath. In his early teens (13 to 16 y.o), he goes to adventure to the overworld and end up finding Olivia, Axel, Petra and Reuben there! He stays there until the Witherstorm Arc (which I headcanon him to be 17 almost 18 y.o while the Arc happens).

Small conclusion: Kids in minecraft are raised as a community but housed by their bio parents. Orphanages work for parents who have to get more time to be ready to raise a kid or for said kid to be raised by the whole community. Jesse's bio dad, Fred, can't take care of them anymore due to the admin drama getting too dangerous (we all know what happens to Fred.. Fs in notes). The Owl House- Hogwarts Houses

Part 1- Luz:

As far as I've observed, most of the fandom believes Luz is either a Gryffindor or a Hufflepuff. Mainly because she's brave and nice, and is often considered "stupid" by fandom even though it's not true. It's also a common misconception in fandoms like many protagonists have to be Gryffindor for some reason...

But I disagree!

Yeah, Luz sure is a very kind and polite person. And no one can doubt her loyalty and courage.

Yet, having those traits doesn't necessarily mean she has to be a Gryffindor or a Hufflepuff.

I think Luz is a Ravenclaw, and let me explain why!

1-) She's Smart and Perceptive:

Fist of all, unlike how most of the fandom portrays her, Luz is not stupid. Being oblivious doesn't make anyone stupid. In fact, I dare to say she's the smartest one in her group. She literally invented a whole new way of casting spells, and she mastered it quickly. And then she figured out the combinations of the glyphs and unlocked another form of magic. And when she or someone else is in trouble, Luz often happens to be the one who comes up with ideas. Such as when she helped Amity to protect her from Inner Willow.

2-) She's Creative and Imaginative:

Say what you want about Luz, but no one can disagree with the fact that she's super creative and has a vivid imagination. Her taste in story genres is the clearest proof of that. Or how she came up with glyph combinations when no one but Belos knew about it.

3-) She's Quick-Thinking:

Dana Terrace, the creator, comfirmed that Luz was indeed clever, creative and quick-thinging. It gets obvious whenever there's a trouble, because it's Luz who comes up with a solution on the fly. Such as when she broke Belos' mask and destroyed the portal in season 1 finale. Or when she tricked Kikimora to sneak in Belos' castle to protect Eda and save Hunter.

4-) She's hungry for knowledge:

Another undeniable fact about Luz is how she has a great hunger for knowledge. She always wants to learn something new, and she never gets tired of it. The first example that I can think of is when she insisted Eda to teach her magic in the early episodes of the first season. Eda was clearly sleepy and exhausted, but Luz couldn't help to insist due to her desire to learn more. She's always been passionate to learn new things after all. In fact, this was what led her to trouble afterwards, because she wanted to explore this new magical world so passionately.

5-) She values originality:

Luz wants to seem as an original person with her ideas. She is unique and extraordinary, but not a wannabe. And therefore doesn't want to do things in common ways. She is eager to find her own path and way of doing things. Such as when she wanted to come up with a crazy and original way to ask Amity out...

So this is why I think Luz is a Ravenclaw. She's like an extroverted version of Luna Lovegood (and even their names are lowkey similar). If you agree or disagree with me, feel free to share it.
