Part 2 of the theories and speculations about the Collector.
Minor spoilers for "king's tide"!!!
With the end of the second season, we can definitely say that this child will be our antagonist in the third season.
But who is this collector? Let's figure it out.
In the episode "King's tide", Kikimora says that it is a child from the stars, and adds that Belos was afraid of them (which is not surprising given their strength).
What does "child from the stars" mean? (Except for Chinese documentary about children with autism)
The stars have long predicted our fate, from them come the signs of the zodiac and all the other ends of the world that have not come. Stars mean inevitable fate. Even when Philip refused to let the Collector out, they eventually were freed.
Star is also a pentagram - the repeller of all evil and it grants protection.
And of course the most interesting stuff. The "The star" card is the 17th Major Arcana in Tarot spreads.
The meaning of the star in the upright position is simple and clear: "the Star" symbolizes hope, vitality and fortitude. The card reminds you that you already have everything you need for self-realization. The only thing missing is courage.
On the other hand, if the star is upside down, then everything is not so rosy: If you get "the Star" card in an inverted position, it means that problems that seem like a trifle are to overcome with great effort. Perhaps you have lost faith in something meaningful.
Also, I want to remind you that there are no positive or negative cards in the Tarot, they are all just a warning. The Reversed Star asks us to develop patience and not lose faith even in difficult situations.
And so we have two different interpretations depending on the situation. Collector on one side and Luz & Co. on the other. The direct meaning clearly looks at the Collector, and the inverted one looks at our heroes. And this means that despite the fact that everything looks bad, we should not lose faith in victory.
(In the title "child from the stars" there is also the word child, but I think everything is clear here anyway and no explanation is required)
