I have 12 of these, and skimmed the rest. Those multifandom fics would go crazy.
I just want to know how much these audiences overlap
Tumblr media
Please consider reblogging for a larger sample size.
*If you don't know what qualifies as "watching" (ie you're not done or have given up on the show), if you've watched season 1 to completion, then consider it as you’ve watched it.
Edit/clarification: If your definition of "watching" doesn't align with mine, that's fine. Use your own definition if you want, the definition I added was just for the people who I knew were going to comment under this with "OP, define 'watch'"

Can you do a Bay!TMNT X reader that doesn't have an accent normally but when they get upset that shit just appears outta thin air and they can barely understand them? Thank you!!
{🩷Firecracker🩷}
Anonymous on Tumblr asked for, "Can you do a Bay!TMNT X reader that doesn't have an accent normally but when they get upset that shit just appears outta thin air and they can barely understand them? Thank you!!" It's short but here you go anyway 😭?
Tumblr media
The turtles met reader when they were younger. Around seventeen turning eighteen. Now being twenty-six, they're more open and casual around the turtles.
When they first met, reader wanted the boys to feel comfortable seeing as they didn't have many human friends to begin with. So when their accent came up, the turtles couldn't tell. Reader spoke English well enough so they couldn't pick up on it.
Especially when they had practically spent years around them. However, when Vincent offers reader a job at the station she notices that if a cop or office person is dumb, and reader got mad at it, they would mumble in their native language and have an after-accent longer in their English.
Vincent wasn't one to judge, her wife's best friend was Venezuelan and had an accent in moments. It only made her curious about the alliance ship between them and the turtle brothers.
"Where is reader from?" When Vincent asked them that, it threw the boys through loops. They hadn't thought about you not being from a different origin. Yeah, you were raised in the U.S. but you could've spent the majority of it speaking your native tongue, or you had moved to the United States before meeting them in the late teenage years.
Naturally, they tried paying more attention to how you spoke. How your grammar would come out. The possibility of your tone being off without trying to sound sarcastic or overzealous. Donnie had been close to plucking a hair of you and finding your ancestry but Leo guilt-tripped him.
"You didn't like it when they asked for a shell scute for science purposes." He made a good point sadly.
Two weeks later, however, reader had cussed out the TV that had a baseball game on. It was kinda funny watching them get pissed at the TV in their native language.
"What did you say?" Leo asked through his shit-eating grin. Even though Donnie was secretly recording and translating it into English.
"They said, 'Fucking idiot, you need glasses. You dumb bastards.'" Reader whipped their head to Donnie so fast it made Raph and Mikey crack up.
"You know (insert language)?" Donnie raised his translator and gained an understanding look from reader. "How come you don't translate everything I say?"
"Then there's no point in trying to learn about it." With that, reader gained a softer expression, before getting sucked back into the game and got annoyed again.

So you all remember that one scene from the Lone Star crossover right??? Well, what if after Buck and Tommy traded numbers, Buck wrote Tommy down as Tk. Then when he calls, Eddie sees the phone some how and thinks it's the guy from the giant fire all that time ago. Then when the phone stops ringing, a message comes through and makes Eddie think Tk is cheating on Carlos because it reads, "Sorry love, call me back later k? 🩷" or sum shit which then leads to Eddie flipping his shit and confronting Buck-
I'm unwell.

Forged in Honor{Leon x OC}
What if Mulan met Merlin? What if she fell in love after losing someone special in battle? What if Camelot made peace with an old enemy who took pride in aligning themselves with dragons and magic? Lance lives because, fuck canon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the defeat of Morgana and the disappearance of Mordred, Arthur and Gwen branched out to other kingdoms. Once Merlin was appointed Court Sorceror, he began arranging peace meetings with magical kingdoms previously at odds with Camelot. A kingdom called Bugai, East of Camelot and Essitir's borders.
Sending out a message via crow, Merlin was able to contact the ruler and bring him to Camelot. Bringing only a small elite task force. Merlin kept having to remind them that in their culture their names were said in Surname, first name order, so they had to be respectful.
When the task force and regent arrived, they arrived in style. The warriors were mounted atop giant lizards that were taller than horses, and the Oxen in front pulled the carriage carrying the royals. They wore armor made from black metal with red touches on the rims. The metal wasn't smooth either, it was ridges that formed patterns into them. The carriage looked small but it had an enchantment that made it bigger on the inside.
"Your majesty, I hope your travel went well. I know it's a long journey from here to Bugai." Arthur greeted bowing his head in respect. The man in front of Arthur was older and walked with grace. However, he didn't wear formal robes, he wore similar armor to his warriors, and underneath appeared to be what seemed peasant clothes to them. Though they looked nicer than the commoners in Camelot wore.
"It was indeed. I rarely leave the palace walls, so I ensured to be accompanied by the best. My warriors have seen combat in many forms. They train rigorously, sometimes I think I'm too hard on them." A warrior came up to the Emporer and spoke.
"Your majesty if you ever lighten our training, I will skin myself." The Emperor chuckled and gestured for the person next to him to introduce themselves. As the person did, they faced Gwen first and bowed. Then to Arthur, Merlin, and the Knights standing on the left of their royal couple.
"No need for bowing here, after all, we plan to be friends. You can take off your helmet if you like." The warriors behind the pair obeyed and walked off to where the servants of the Citadel asked them to but the one here in front looked hesitant. The Emperor nodded his head encouraging them, which finally pushed them to do so.
When they removed their helmet, or, her helmet, the eyes of the knights, Merlin, Gwen, and Arthur widened. Her hair was in a braid with golden pinches onto it and her ears were adorned with small earrings.
The warrior noticed and she and her noble laughed. Her smile showed the perfect teeth she had.
"I understand the confusion, my voice isn't exactly feminine. It goes against most things in our culture."
"One of the things my royal council refuses to change. Thus I offered her this position. My second in command. Though young and beautiful, Fa Mingzhu is one of the most talented fighters of our people."
"He likes to flatter people. Like right now, he only sees the good."
"Some might say that's a strength," Merlin spoke bringing the attention to him. "Emperor Zhao, it's a pleasure to meet you."
"A pleasure to meet the legendary Emrys. Though Mingzhu tells me your name is something else." Merlin nodded and blushed slightly. The way the Emporer spoke felt like a warm hug from an old friend.
"Merlin. I apologize on behalf of our own Court Sorceress. We needed someone to stay behind and look after the kingdom, being the Emperor's niece makes her knowledgeable to run it like how his majesty wants to." Nodding his head Merlin held out his hand in the attempt of handshake.
Something she returned with a soft smile. It was now that Merlin realized how short she was.
"Please let me introduce you to our most notable Knights of the Round Table. Sir Leon, Sir Percival, Sir Elyan, Sir Lancelot, and Sir Gwaine." The men greeted and bowed their heads slightly but a certain knight caught her attention.
"Sir Leon, was it?" The man froze, not knowing what to do. He had been staring at her since the moment she dismounted her lizard. More so when she took off her helmet and when the Emperor explained a portion of her tale. Blinking nervously, Leon answered her question.
"Y-yes, my lady." The Knights next to him either looked away, bit their cheeks, or smiled smugly looking at the scene in front of them.
"After Merlin reached out I learned everything I could about Camelot, including its protectors. It impressed me how you've stood by King Arthur. You're very honorable, a trait well respected where I come from." Though she complimented him, he couldn't help but get lost in her eyes. Unlike him, hers were a dark shade of black that with the rays of the sun made them look like small galaxies waiting to be defined.
Her hair looked matted in some parts but it didn't matter. He wondered how she ever was able to make something that looked complicated, appear so simple on herself.
"Well, thank you. I'm ashamed to say I don't know anything about Bugai but I would love to learn." This very clearly made her happy, shown by the small dimples at the side of her lips when she smiled brighter.
"Mingzhu! I need you here, Merlin wants to discuss something. You can challenge them to a fight later." Flustered at her majesties chastizing she gave one last look at Leon through her lashes and ran off to catch up with her Emperor. A snort of amusement broke Leon's gaze from her.
Snapping his head to the far end of the lineup, Gwaine was looking down attempting to hold in a laugh. Poorly might I add. Leon gave him a strange look and continued to follow the others with the knights behind him.
"She seems intriguing," Elyan said making Leon hum in response. She seemed like her own writer of the story. Decisive, intelligent, delicate, firm, efficient. Remembering the sheath at her side, Leon wondered how well her dueling skills were. He was also interested in how they varied in regions, seeing as the Bugainians had a different style of life.
"Very beautiful for a woman in her position," Gwaine inquired to no one in particular. The vivid image of her face and the small scar on her face came to Leon's mind. The baby hairs dangled on her front from being shaken out of place from removing her helmet. Her stature was quite amusing to him, she was a small woman but had the presence of someone like Percival.
"What are you doing?"
"What do you mean?" Liars, all of them. Especially Gwaine.
"Never mind, meet in the courtyard for training around noon."
-------------------------------------------------------------------
After meeting with councilmen with the three present rulers, which was just a waste of time if you asked Mingzhu, she took to sitting at a window still looking out onto the citadel, The village was drastically different. She missed the lanterns that would hang in every archway outside and the dragon statues that paid respect to their protectors. They couldn't bring them close into the city as a safety precaution so Mingzhu had to part with her companion.
"Are you alright?" A familiar voice behind her asked. Turning her head she saw Leon with a concerned smile. Ming gave a small side smile in return and shifted her body to face him. He then fully leaned on his left against the wall to attempt a casual conversation.
"Missing home I guess. It's not often we leave our land. Let alone this far." Leon blinked for a minute then smiled fondly.
"I've only read a bit about the architecture, is it true you have multiple statues of dragons?"
"Yes! They are wonderful," Ming sighed at the memory leaning against the wall now standing in front of Leon. Who was listening to her passionate description of the art but found himself staring at her eye expression. They found a sort of spark when speaking of the carvings imprinted on some of the statues to represent the creature's spirit.
"I admire your passion for the subject." Ming turned her head to glance for a moment, smiled, and then looked down the hall in front of her.
"Enough about my life, I want to learn about Camelot! What's your favorite food to have here?" Leon looked up with contemplation.
"I'll admit, nothing comes to my mind other than chocolate cake." Ming laughed a bit and Leon chuckled. It felt easy to speak with honesty to her. A wave of comfort that not even Arthur could provide.
Perhaps them both being in similar positions offered that likeness and available bridge to bond.
"I've had chocolate cake before, but I'm curious to see if it's any different from the one here. I should get some for my fellow soldiers to try."
"Perhaps the cook can make some for tonight? The King wanted to greet you all with a feast to celebrate your arrival. With both common and noblemen."
"That's very generous of him. Tell him I said thank you." Leon nodded, but then an idea occurred to him when her shadow moved into a specific location. Shite, it was noon. He'll possibly never hear the end of this.
"Uhm, perhaps you can thank him yourself. I have training with the other knights soon and the King as well. I'm sure after the meetings he'll want to relieve stress." Ming sighed and rolled her eyes with sass.
"Believe me, I need it too. Well then, lead the way." Leon wanted to offer his arm to her but thought she wouldn't take it. He also wanted to respect her status and simply led her along to the training grounds. Where the Knights of the Round Table were, along with Arthur, Merlin, and Zhao. He'll never hear the end of this.
"Leon! You're late for training! How odd," Never. Leon sucked in a breath of apology as Ming walked over to her ruler and spoke with him about joining in on training. Walking over to them, he glanced behind him and caught Ming staring at him. She smiled and looked down quickly, averting her gaze back to Emperor Zhao.
"Ahem," Turning back to his companions, he recognized the looks they were giving him. The same ones he gave Lancelot a fortnight ago at the tavern when a maiden approached him.
Oh dear.
He shook his head and walked into his place, awaiting orders from Arthur. Stepping in front of them, Arthur spoke as Ming walked over and stood next to Leon. He smiled at her and paid attention again.
"I realized that Bugai has an art of fighting that has not been seen or used here in Albion. So Emperor Zhao and Mingzhu will demonstrate. They will challenge us, two verse two. All for fun, nothing serious. After all, this is a learning experience," As Arthur explained, the men ordered themselves in two lines in front of the two warriors.
Mingzhu had undone her braid and turned it into a ponytail. For whatever reason, Leon didn't know, but somehow it made a chill go down his spine.
"Ready!" Zhao said as they both got into position. Lancelot and Gwaine went first. They had put their swords down to make it even but it didn't matter. With swift blocks and kicks at their legs to lose balance the two knights fell to the ground. Gwaine taking the hardest beating.
Pair by pair, the knights were beaten. Percival had been defeated by Ming fairly long due to struggle against his strength. That quickly turned into his weakness as she used it against him. Being more agile allowed her to roll to the side and throw his balance off with a swish at his calves.
Then it was Leon and Arthur against Zhao and Ming. The two leaders began right away while Leon attacked Ming at the side. While he wanted to hold back, he wanted to see how she fought when under certain attack.
Attempting a hit at her side, she blocked it and gripped his forearm. Quickly placing her opposite leg next to his, she used the momentum to flip him onto the grass. Landing with a thud, Leon felt a foot on his chest causing him to look up.
"Not much of a fight Leon." We'll see.
Grabbing her leg he pushed it off and kicked the other one causing her to fall. However, she regained footing on her hands and was able to throw herself up and do a flip landing on her feet. The knights and Merlin wowed and shouted in excitement.
They couldn't dream of doing techniques like that with their heavy armor. Looking to his right, Arthur had just been defeated so it meant Leon was the last one standing. This time Ming ran forward first and when Leon went to block, she faked out and flipped him over by grabbing his forearm again.
For a small woman, she had a lot of muscle on her. His fellowship laughed a loud and congratulated Ming. Leon began to sit up when he saw a hand in front of him.
"Almost."
"Almost, next time I'll be victorious." He laughed after accepting her offer and stood up.
"Maybe tomorrow, after I look forward to trying that chocolate cake with you." Smiling looking her up and down Leon heard someone call her name and watched her run off. Walking up to Arthur he found the King smiling.
"It's a good thing I allied with Bugai."
"Indeed, their combative strength will aid us in battle."
"And allow people for courtship opportunities." Leon choked on his water, spitting it out in the process.

There’s a reason he’s my favorite 🙌
High thoughts…
Let’s talk about how Donnie has the biggest brass balls out of all of his brothers. Not only did he take down the Krang (it was his final blow that took krang down) but this dude just hops out of an airplane. AN AIRPLANE. They didn’t train for that. Homie just stepped out into the damn air like it was nothing. And then, THEN straight up tested the ooze on himself not knowing what it would even do to him. That. Takes. Balls. Even more so than Leonardo. I said what I said.

Tavern Tales{Elyan x OC}
Robin Hood and his Merrymen meet the Knights of the Round Table. Along with King Arthur and Merlin. What could go wrong? Not much actually, but Elyan deserves more love so here you go.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Arriving at Camelot came a minstrel, one came from a land near Mercia. Who sang tales of Robin Hood and his legion of Merrymen. The people gathered round to hear the tale. The rhythm of the tale became engraved in everyone's head.
Robin Hood and Little John, walking through the forest
Laughing back and forth at what the other'n has to say
Reminiscing this and that and having such a good time
Oo-de-lally, oo-de-lally, golly, what a day
Never ever thinking there was danger in the water
They were drinking, they just guzzled it down
Never dreaming that a scheming sheriff and his posse
Was a-watching them and gathering around
Robin Hood and Little John, running through the forest
Jumping fences, dodging trees and trying to get away
Contemplating nothing but escape and finally making it
Oo-de-lally, oo-de-lally, golly, what a day
Oo-de-lally, oo-de-lally, golly, what a day
Eventually, the word made its way to King Uther. He wasn't pleased with the thought of rogues attempting to steal from nobles. So he sent his knights to disband the group. Out of the twelve that left, only five returned. When Arthur became king, he wondered what happened to the group of Merrymen, he had only heard stories in passing at the tavern whilst spending time with his knights and manservant.
Till one faithful day.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
"Merlin! Feed the horses, they're no use to us dead!" The knights could only watch amused at the banter between King and servant. Wondering if they would ever become a normal pair of serving and be served.
"Unlike you right?" Dodging a blow to the head, Merlin ran off to feed their trusty steeds. Turning back to his knights Arthur addressed Leon.
"Where to next?" Looking at the map in front of the curly-haired man, he looked up to his majesty awaiting an answer. The long trip from Mercia taking its toll on the man.
"If we head through the Plains of Othanden, we'll cut travel time by a day. As long as there's no trouble with that my lord?"
"None at all, Sir Leon."
"Speak for yourselves, I'm famished." Gwaine, the lazy oaf he is, dragged out as he leaned on Percival who shook his head fondly. Once the horses were ready, they made haste to cut through the plains as best they could.
With Lancelot keeping Merlin from going insane and Gwaine sharing stories with Elyan and Percival, it made the trip bearable. Arthur and Leon would only chip in their two silvers when necessary(when they wanted to). Once near the edge of Camelot, they spotted a village nearby.
"It's getting dark, we should rest in the village. Have some time to gather our energy." Merlin suggested. Thinking it over, Arthur agreed and led his friends to the village. Once there, people around whispered. Some are in awe of the king and his knights. Others appeared worried.
At this Merlin became paranoid. So he listened in more carefully at the villagers.
"Why are,..... think they'll,..... hope they,... what of,...?" Fortunately, one question was clear as day. "Do ya' wonder what Robin Hood will think?"
Merlin wanted to freeze in his tracks but his horse kept him along the others. Robin Hood was here. The man from tales at the tavern who stole from the rich and gave to the poor. Honorable, but bad news if he tried stealing from Arthur.
No gold or valuables were on them, but Arthur wouldn't hesitate to kill if attacked. Merlin prayed Robin Hood was smarter than that.
Once at a decent-looking Inn, they left their horses to the stable boy and left to a nearby tavern for a light dinner. Or drink in Gwaine's case. A table maid sat them at a window booth and took their orders. Gwaine had attempted to woo her.
It gave the others amusement especially when she was particularly interested in Lancelot. She was making the man bashful and he tried to give attention to Gwaine again.
After she walked away, music began playing louder and cheers were heard. Turning their heads to see the commotion, they saw a bright red-haired woman dancing on the bar along to the beat of the song.
Her hair was in a braid and she wore boots with baggy wool socks. Black pants that sagged at her lower legs and a white blouse that brought out her purple bodice. It seemed she was there alone.
When the violin played a certain chord, she jumped in the air towards the chandelier and swung in circles everyone around her. Including the visitors from Camelot.
Landing on a table nearby causing the men sitting there to fall over from shock, she continued to dance. Spinning around and swaying her hips along with the music. Getting wolf whistles from men and cheers of praise from women.
Entranced by her dancing, Elyan didn't hear the praise coming from his friends.
"She's good," Arthur said. Leon nodded while taking sips from his drink. Leon nodded his head in agreement.
"Elyan agrees, right mate?" Gwaine said laughing at his friend. Looking besotted at the bold red-head across from them. As the song ended she jumped off the table landing gracefully, giving a bow to the patrons around her. The knights and everyone else raised their glasses to her.
As she went to sit at an empty seat at the bar, Elyan debated on speaking with her.
"If you stare, she'll only think badly of you." Merlin's voice brought him back to reality as his friends sniggered at him. Turning towards the blue-eyed man, Elyan couldn't help but roll his eyes.
A woman as beautiful as her wouldn't be interested in him dressed like a peasant. When they headed into their rooms Leon implied it wise to change into something less formal for their trip to the tavern.
While the others agreed, Elyan couldn't deny he felt stripped. Despite Arthur's reassurance, being from no noble blood made him feel small. Even worse when some common folk looked at him in contempt. Which wasn't always because of his position or origin.
"I'd rather not. Besides she must feel tired, why keep beating a dead horse?" At his words the knights became rigid. Apart from Merlin and Gwaine who held in laughs.
"Because maybe it'll come back to life?" A different voice spoke behind him. An angelic voice. Turning around with a confused expression, Elyan met eyes with the redhead. Her green eyes glimmer despite facing away from the light. He tried to envision what they would look like in the afternoon sun.
"Perhaps that's true." He said after much debate internally, which was hilarious to his friends. Although, it did bring a smile out of her so maybe it worked.
"Glad to know someone thought my performance was exceptional."
"Very, love the bit where you jumped and almost hit the ceiling." Closing her eyes and laughing she headed off to another table shaking her head. She sat down at a table a good feet away chatting with some men sitting and drinking.
"Were you complimenting her or insulting her?" Lancelot may be honorable to anyone else, but his companions were at their wits end with him.
After getting their orders they headed off to the inn to get rest for tomorrow's journey home. Still while lying down on the bed next to Percival's he kept thinking back to the girl. He never got her name.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The next morning they awoke and had a small breakfast. Just something to keep them awake for the start of the path. That is til someone broke into the inn screaming their head off.
"Robin Hood's attacked! Lord John isn't happy!" The people near the door piled out, including the knights. They had heard the tales but had never seen it in person. Now was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
"Robin Hood?" Arthur asked a patron who just shrugged their shoulders with a smile. Outside the village, people gathered around the middle fountain and grabbed bags of money from the Merrymen.
"Should we do something?" Leon whispered in Arthur's ear and he was debating himself. While they were meant to arrest outlaws, Robin wasn't an outlaw of Camelot. Uther had just been threatened by an outside power that most likely didn't even know of his existence.
"No, they're not a problem as long as they don't attack us. We should go."
And like that, they left. Leaving the village and heading into the forest was browsing but the mood and energy picked up when Gwaine began picking on Elyan again.
"So, did you end up getting her name or what Elyan?" Rolling his eyes he gave his friend a gentle glare.
"No, and for good reason. I'll never see her again. What's the point?"
"Don't speak like that Elyan, there are plenty of women who would love a courtship with Camelot's finest knights," Arthur said trying to console his friend which prompted Merlin to have his usual go at him.
"Makes you wonder why Gwen ever chose you." The knights 'Ooo'ed at this and the king simply threw a fake glare at his manservant. Looking past Merlin, he saw a group of horses running up to them.
Realizing it was the Merrymen, Arthur became tense. Noticing, the Knights drew their swords and turned to the charging quarry behind them. When they got close they slowed down and stopped a few feet away from them.
The figure in front of a white horse spoke from under the hood and mask.
"Relax boys, we know you don't have anything, we're just trying to get through. We're making a stop at Camelot. A friend of ours needs help."
"Who's this friend of yours? Perhaps we could assist you, after all, I would like to be more involved with my people."
The statement ran through the Merrymen. Except for the two in front.
"Her name is Marian and she needs money. Please let us through, she doesn't trust any type of nobility." Frowning Arthur went to retort but Merlin stopped him.
"Arthur no, let them come with us."
"He's right, it could give us a chance to keep an eye on them." Leon reasoned out Merlin's input.
"I for one would love to hear the real story of the mighty Robin Hood." A small chuckle from the opposite group could be heard. Guess they weren't as quiet as they'd hoped.
Elyan however, was more focused on the main hooded figure. Their laughter sounded familiar. Angelic almost.
"What do ya' think Robin?" The man next to the leader asked. The leader whispered and agreement and let the man next to him go up to Arthur.
The knights could tell he wasn't being threatening so they sheethed their swords back in their holsters.
"Very well, we'll accompany you. My name is John."
"Little John?" Percival asked gesturing at the man's size. Like Percival he was big and bulky, the only difference being a darker tone of skin and a subtle belly on him.
Laughter from John and the group startled birds out of the trees. They were called Merrymen for a reason.
"You're her! That girl from the tavern last night!" The Merrymen froze and exchanged looks. Some of them looked at their leader questioningly. Huffing out a small laugh only confirmed Elyan's belief and made him flustered.
The girl pulled off her hood and revealed wavy bright red hair that glowed in the morning sun.
"You got me!" She said and made her horse walk closer to Elyan. "Glad to see my biggest fan again." Smiling at her comment, Elyan went to speak but was interrupted.
"You were flirting with Robin Hood!" Gwaine was going to get beat when they got back to Camelot.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
"So how did people think you were a man? Don't think anything different, but your physique isn't very masculine." Arthur asked as they sat in the knight's quarters back in the castle. The trip had let Elyan and the others learn about the Merrymen's travels and adventures.
Their recent heists. Any gone wrong attempts that required daring rescues. Including any potential romances whilst on the road.
"I needed people to respect what I was doing, not patronize me for it. So when the minestrel we saved asked to write a song about us I told him to make me male."
"Certainly fooled me, I thought you were a prat like Arthur." That comment earned Merlin a good wallop to the head creating laughter throughout the room.
"Tell us more." Elyan urged Robin leaning back on the bench next to her.
"Well, there was the time we invaded Cendred's castle unnoticed."

Buck's Baby Deer
Buck has a daughter AU. You all love it. I know you do. Anyway her name is Calliope Buckley. And she's four years old. This takes place Post-Lawsuit(our favorite). Pretend the loft has two bedrooms, please. Jealous Eddie, of a male friend of Buck's who is flirty with everyone. So all in all, good fun. Might make a part two to this, but not immediately taking place after.
Tumblr media
If you had told Buck that he would've ended up straining his relationship with the 118 more. He never would have officiated the lawsuit. Considered it, yes. He had a kid to think about.
Calliope Buckley. Buck's pride and joy. Truly, she was a sweet kid. She was smart, which she got from her mom, and had sass to her which came from Buck.
The swearing came from her staying up late without Buck knowing and watching what he was watching secretly. Rick and Morty is the favorite. Of course, she got grounded, but hey at least she never whines when she gets punished. Due to it happening often, and never being extreme punishments.
Also, she only does small things, like drawing on the wall. So then she can't have her crayons and markers for a week. Till she started with black pens, which artistically impressed Buck, and gave her stuff back.
Her mom? Well to put it simply, she didn't want kids. Well not yet. She didn't feel ready, but she told Buck because she knew how much he wanted his own family. She said she'd go through the pregnancy for him, but after that, they were done. Buck was heartbroken, but it was healed with a tiny baby with a birthmark running across their nose.
Reckless Buck had been mainly a ploy, yeah Abby had been a thing, and Ali had loved Calliope, but Calliope never liked the women that came. So after Taylor, he stopped dating.
Which, yeah probably got rid of free babysitter but he had Carla. Who swore to not tell anyone about Callie. That's how he ended up at the store that day. He needed to go buy kid snacks and nutritional values. And he picked up some cat stuff for his neighbor Caleb.
He had forgotten the 118 showed up there to get their supplies. It slipped his mind, especially with a hungry four-year-old wandering around inside because she saw Nemo flavored Oreos posters outside and couldn't help but run in to look for them.
"Because you're exhausting! We all have our own problems but you don't see us whining about it. Somehow we just manage to suck it up." Eddie yelled at him, that he was exhausting. It made him freeze. For one, the guy he liked, maybe even loved, hated him. Two, his daughter was around and he didn't want her to hear this. Especially cause it was true. At least to Buck, it was. Caleb had been great at making sure he knew how much he mattered.
But sometimes no matter how hard you helped, the brain would hotwire itself to not listen. His ears were ringing. Breathing was shaky and suddenly something exploded behind them. They ran out. Callie.
He grabbed her, grabbed the cookies, paid, and got the hell out of there. When Mackey told him they won and that the fire department wanted to give him 5.6 million dollars. He refused. He already had money from Callie's mom. Who was stupid rich, and gave him extra money than he needed for child support. How did Bobby and Maddie not know about this? Well it was in the files that weren't allowed to be shown to everyone, and Maddie hadn't probed questions at him while she was with Doug.
Callie's grandparents(maternal) were godsends. When he was too busy to make a flight for Callie, they would come and visit from Michigan. Good ole Harold and Ellie. Old but sturdy. Kind yet honest. Heart driven, yet logical.
When he denied the settlement,  Chiefs Williams and Alfonso had called him in. Asking why he didn't take it. When he explained the lawsuit from his perspective, they told him they'd make Bobby let him back in. He agreed, only on the terms that no one got fired. He knew what Bobby did wasn't professional, but he didn't want the man to lose his job.
He had already given up on the idea of having his family back immediately. But that didn't matter. He needed money. He couldn't rely on others for it too much.
And he damn well wasn't going to get it from a settlement. He felt sick at the thought. So when he returned to work. He sucked up the way he was being treated.
Wasn't easy at first, but he'd been treated like this for most of his life. So he got used to it quickly. Callie was keeping him going, making sure to get up in the morning and to make food. For the both of them, because despite being young, Callie was an observant kid. Hen too, but she'd tried to keep the peace on both sides.
Guess the secret couldn't be kept any longer, as he was on a twelve-hour shift when Caleb called.
"Caleb?" He had been cleaning the kitchen counter. The 118 was dispersed everywhere throughout the station, but Eddie, Hen, Chim, and Bobby were in the dining area nearby.
Looking over, Eddie frowned his eyebrows. Who the hell was Caleb?
"Slow down-,... Shit. I'm on my way."  Buck hung up the call and sped walked to Bobby. "I'm so sorry Cap, but I need to leave. Family emergency."
"What? Maddie didn't call." Chim said confused. Buck just rolled his eyes and continued talking. Taking the others aback.
"No, not Maddie, but someone who is family to me needs help and I can't wait around. Besides I only have thirty minutes left."
Contemplating for a brief minute, Bobby gave him the go-ahead. Giving his boss thanks, he ran downstairs, grabbed his duffle, and ran out. Didn't even bother changing out.
"Who'd you think needed help? I didn't even know he had other friends outside of us." Hen's questioning made Eddie and Bobby think. Had Buck ever mentioned anyone he knew outside of work?
-------------------------------------------
Heading to the hospital had been teasingly slow. Buck didn't know what exactly happened, but his daughter was there and needed a cast.
When he got there, he saw Caleb's car in the front. Luckily there was a spot next to it so he just parked there. Running in, he saw Caleb pacing around the waiting room. This guy is the guardian angel of his daughter.
"Caleb! What the hell happened?" Buck asked running up to his new best friend. Eddie had been demoted recently, which hurt Buck more than when he admitted to himself that he was in love with the man. Wasn't that hard of a realization as Caleb was studying to be a therapist and became a free one for Buck. He was gonna be great for younger kids.
"I'm so sorry, we were at the park and she was climbing the monkey bars like usual but some kids ran underneath her. I think she freaked and let go. She broke her list when she landed. I'm so sorry, Buck." Pulling the smaller man into a hug, Buck thanked him.
"You, confident Caleb, is worried? Relax, you did the right thing. Nothing worse happened so she's going to be okay. She's a tough nut to crack remember?"
"Yeah, she didn't fuss except when we were driving on our way to the hospital. Pulled out my phone to call you but she told me not to because it, 'Wasn't a big deal.'" Yup, his daughter all right. At that moment, the doctor came out.
"Family of Calliope Buckley." Both of the men walked up to her. "She's a brave and happy girl. She insisted on a cast with monster trucks on it." Chuckling softly, Buck just imagined his baby girl talking to the doctor casually as they were adjusting her broken wrist to fit into the cast.
"Yeah, that- that's Callie. My little warrior." Smiling at Buck the doctor extended out a hand. "I'm Callie's father by the way. Caleb is her godfather." The doctor smiled and read over her clipboard telling them what kind of pain meds she would need. Caleb, however, wasn't exactly listening. Godfather. Holy shit.
After the doctor told them she could have one of them go in, he gave Buck the go-ahead. They'd talk later, right now his friend needed to see his goddaughter. Damn, that feels good to say.
After a few minutes of waiting, the Buckleys walked out and Buck handed Callie off to Caleb to go check out. Walking out with the kid towards their cars he swung her around a bit, placed her on top of his hood, and just let her play games on his phone. She was good at Clash of Clans for a six-year-old.
When Buck walked out of the hospital, Caleb saw him look around to check for cars and when he turned right he froze. Then speed walked toward his daughter and best friend. Still half watching Callie, Caleb put her in the back seat of Bucks jeep.
"What happened?" He asked with Callies door still open. Her seat was always right behind Bucks. She liked being a tailgunner for some reason.
"The 118s here." Not wanting to look suspicious, Caleb pulled Buck into a hug with his eyes closed. Then when he opened his eyes as he was about to let go, he locked eyes with one of them. A relatively smaller guy who had brown hair and tanned skin. He looked confused. Mad? Who knows, but it wasn't happy.
"We'll talk about it later. Right now, this little fighter needs an ice cream." Callie shot out of her seat and yelled out.
"Fuck yeah!" Throwing their heads back, slightly looking around for parents who thought they were better, Caleb and Buck laughed at the six-year-old. Shaking his head, Caleb shriveled her hair and practiced his handshake with Buck. Then went into his pickup and drove off. Buck settled Callie down and told her to sit down. She did so immediately, already deciding what three flavors she could mix up conveniently.
Closing her door, Buck opened his door and drove off to the small ice cream business near his apartment to get their usuals for him and his small family. Meanwhile, the 118, specifically Eddie, watched him drive away.
-------------------------------------------
Watching Buck drive away with a kid was strange. Watching Buck with another man and kid, was even more strange. Was that Caleb? And who the hell was that kid Buck had in the back seat? After that, he decided to confront Buck about it next shift but then realized that Buck wouldn't be at work for another three days.
When he came to work the next morning, he noticed the small tension because no one could ask about what the hell they saw yesterday at the hospital parking lot. So they waited. And when the time came, Bobby said they were gonna have Bosko take over for Buck.
"He's on paid family leave." He explained but wouldn't go into detail.
"Why?" Eddie asked. Maddie wasn't hurt, or Chimney would be gone as well.
"Can't say. He told me not to. Leave it at that." For some reason, Bobby looked apprehensive. Which made Eddie more frustrated. He'd already dropped the street fighting. He didn't want to see Lena right now. So that's how he somehow found himself sitting in his car. In front of Buck's apartment building.
He hadn't decided if he wanted to go in, yet he was sitting out here like a stalker. In the end, he walked into the elevator and walked towards Buck's apartment. Taking a deep breath, he knocked on the door.
After what felt like the longest minutes, Eddie heard the door unlocking. His heart beating in his chest, preparing to face whatever was behind that door. Then it opened. It wasn't Buck opening the door no. But a guy slightly taller than Eddie, with darker skin, side shaves, and braids that went over the top of his head. He had muscle and yet looked so meek. Slight stubble and a scar on his right eyebrow.
"Can I help you hermoso?" His accent seemed Dominican. Shook, Eddie froze, till he heard a familiar voice.
"Eddie?" Behind the beautiful man blocking Eddie, was Buck. In a hoodie with basketball shorts and sneakers. The hoodie was not baggy, as it clung to Bucks biceps making it look like it was about to rip. "What are you doing here?"
"I-I thought you were alone."
"Daddy? Who's that?" A little girl behind both of the men walked out of the hall from the spare room. Okay, what the fuck? Eddie thought as he stumbled slightly and opted to leave. Buck followed him down the hall closing the door, leaving Caleb to distract Callie.
"Eddie! Eddie! You can't just show up, a-and not explain why you're here randomly at 3 p.m.." Buck said after pulling Eddie to a stop with a firm hand on the shoulder. Eddie spun around breathing rapidly.
"Me? Me not explain!? You have a kid that none of us know about!"
"Why does it matter?! You've done a really good job at pretending I'm not there at work." Not wanting a repeat of the grocery store, Buck left to go inside and left Eddie frozen in the apartment complex hallway. Unconsciously doing the same thing the older man had done to him.
Finding his way, Eddie headed home to his son. Who was playing online with his friends, so it gave Eddie an excuse to lie down on his bed. Staring up at his ceiling, Eddie contemplates back. To when he first met Buck. Then to the fire truck bombing and the backyard incident at Athena and Bobby's place. It had scared him so much that he had initially agreed with the idea of Buck staying away from the 118. Hell, the whole fire department.
But when he filed that stupid lawsuit, it hurt worse to have Buck out of reach. Then he came back. And Eddie did not want to talk to him. Despite his heart longing to and making it break every time he snarked at anything Buck said or did in his general vicinity. He was angry at Buck but hated himself for being angry at Buck. The street fighting had started as a good outlet to let out the anger. But it went too far, and he blamed Buck for not being there when he needed someone to bail him out.
Now it turns out he has a family. A daughter, he had said he'd be better at raising girls than boys, and a man who looked like the perfect,... husband? Buck never talked about sexuality. Sexual innuendos yeah, but anything else no. But that didn't make sense because he had dated a woman while working at the 118. Unless it was recent. Then that Caleb guy was most likely his boyfriend.
That absolutely didn't sting.
Eddie was his best friend and yet he didn't know Buck's sexuality. Except,.. they hadn't acted like best friends had they? They(Eddie) haven't talked about the lawsuit properly and how it affected everyone(them).
Thinking back to the little girl at the apartment, Eddie couldn't help the small fond look that formed on his face. She was definitely Buck's. Seeing as the blonde curly hair and birthmark over the nose didn't give it away, she had the specific head tilt and eyebrow raise Buck had when he asked questions before going down a rabbit hole of information.
The fond expression quickly vanished as he remembered her arm. She had a cast on. That explained Buck's Paid Family Leave. Eddie could agree with Buck on this one, kids come first.
-------------------------------------------
After the Eddie pop-up two weeks ago, came Hen and Karen. Caleb was babysitting his goddaughter when knocking from Buck's apartment three doors down was heard. Repeated knocking. Sighing, Caleb threw the hand towel he was using to wipe down the island of his kitchen over his shoulder and told Callie to stay in her playroom.
Peeking out into the hallway, Caleb saw two black women waiting in front of Buck's door. His Bob Marley Vinyl could be heard from outside, so it drew their attention.
"He's not home. He'll be back in thirty minutes." They nodded and looked back at the door. Then he walked up to him.
"Hey there, I'm Hen. This is my wife Karen." Hen greeted shaking Caleb's hand.
"Nice to meet you."
"Always glad to meet beautiful faces, I'm Caleb by the way. I'm Bucks best friend." Hen and Karen gained shocked looks at different things. They gave each other a look that Caleb couldn't describe and thanked him while walking down to the lobby of that floor.
Caleb could've sworn he heard, 'Eddie's not gonna like this.', but who cares. Callie wanted Neapolitan, and she was gonna have it goddammit. After thirty-five minutes, Caleb counted, Buck opened the door and joined them for ice cream.
After they finished, they stood up and got ready to relax in their apartments separately. When Callie went in she bolted towards her room to catch up on homework she had procrastinated on accident. She had a bad memory and would forget about when to do things.
"Oh yeah, these women came by earlier. They said they were Hen and Karen?" Buck's eye widened. Then his eyebrows furrowed slightly in thought.
"They're friends through work. Why'd they come here?"
"Not sure, but they weren't happy about me saying I was your best friend. They said Eddie wouldn't be happy." Weird, they said goodbye and continued their normal weekend routine like normal. With Buck being off work for a bit and Caleb off at his work as a mechanic for big trucks, Buck decided to take Callie to the mall. She loved Hot Topic, especially with all the new pins and Bluey merch Buck told her they got.
He wanted the anime and Coraline merch they had. When they got there, they quickly went to Barnes & Noble for a gift card for Caleb's birthday and to look for Vinyls that they wanted. They ended up getting one from Bob Marley and a CD from multiple oldies artists. Callie had gotten a CD player for her birthday a few weeks back so it was perfect timing.
Though she did like her dad's music, she wanted her favorites that she had heard from Buck's Spotify and put on a special playlist for her. Heading to Hot Topic, they browsed the store together. They found some cool earrings that were based on space that Callie liked. So Buck got the punk leather bracelet pack to get another piece of jewelry for half off.
Once leaving the store, they went to the food court and ordered a pizza for the two of them. Pepperoni on one half and sausage and olives on the other. Buck got his pizza whilst Callie ate her olives individually before eating the slices. A habit that she developed from when she was a baby. Olives were always eaten separately.
After they were finished, they put the tray on the stand above the trash can and then left to go back home. Getting boba on the way though. Callie claimed that her stomach needed some liquid to calm the food in her stomach.
They got out of the car, ordered, and sat at the tables outside to enjoy the warm sun cascading down. This made everything worth it to Buck, all it was missing was,... well.
"Buck?" Hearing that voice in particular made his heart beat fast. Whether from fear or feelings. Either way, he didn't want to deal with this. "And little girl."
"Who you calling little?"
"H-Hey now, Callie, remember what I told you?" Sighing, the sassy child responded.
"'Not to speak disrespectfully to anyone you don't know.' She had used a deeper voice to repeat her father's words. "I know, I'll try to be better."
"I know." Buck's gentle reply did something to Eddie that he wasn't ready to admit yet. Turning back to Eddie, Buck asked him why he was there.
"I came to pick up and order Chim did online for us. Didn't know you'd be here, I swear." Buck just said it was fine and to ignore it. But Eddie couldn't. He went inside, grabbed the five drinks, and walked back to his truck. He placed the drinks in the passenger seat momentarily before walking back to the father-daughter duo. "Look, I know you probably don't want to talk to me after what happened at your apartment, but I need to get something off my chest."
"Is it about that overused grey shirt that's probably been through more flannels than you have relationships?"
"Callie."
"I said I'd try to be better."
Dang, Callie had some attitude. It was oddly loveable. Hearing Buck sigh and seeing him get up gave Eddie the go-ahead to speak.
"You were right. I wasn't there for you after the truck ladder. I didn't try to understand the lawsuit or your side of the story. Hell, I did the opposite and indulged in street fighting." A look from Buck made him feel smaller than he already was. "I stopped, don't worry. Anyway,... I messed up. We all did. But especially me. I promised I'd have your back and I didn't. And I swear that right here right now, if you're willing to let me, I will spend the rest of my life trying to make up for it. Calling you exhausting was the worst thing I could have done. Especially because it's not true, you've helped me out a lot with Christopher. And you were taking care of your daughter to add to everything else! I'm not asking for forgiveness but I am offering it to you. And even if you don't want to, I want you and Christopher to be able to hang out again. I want Christopher and your daughter to properly meet and for your boyfriend-"
"Boyfriend? Caleb's my best friend, not boyfriend." Oh. That hurt a little less than Eddie thought it would.
"Oh, well, good to know. And for you. Buck, you deserve someone who will be there for you. Platonic or not. Assuming that Maddie doesn't know yet, I won't say anything to the others about her." With that, Eddie began to walk off. Till a hand got placed on his shoulder.
"I don't forgive you yet. But I'd like to try." Letting out a sigh of relief, Eddie nodded and drove off. Quickly wiping his tears before getting out of his truck and walking inside Bobby and Athena's house. It was a start.
If he wanted his friend back, he'd have to work for it. He'd die for Buck. He'd make that clear.
-------------------------------------------
The day after the boba apology, Buck had considered introducing Callie to the 118. Only his close friends. With Caleb there for support. And to officially introduce him as the godfather to Callie. He didn't want to make anything official yet though. He wanted to get her opinion first.
"Okay." Easier than he thought.
"You sure kiddo? You've only heard stories about them." Calliope was mature for her age, but she was still a kid. He didn't want to force her into something that would make her uncomfortable.
"I mean, I'm not happy it took this long. Especially if I can have friends after school." Buck hadn't let her have friends come over from her school. The only reason was he didn't want his parents being bitchy or weird towards him and Carla about why he didn't stay home. Or why the mom wasn't around. "But Pops told me that sometimes people take time to adjust to changes. Like how I had to get used to wearing normal shoes and not light-ups all the time."
Buck didn't think he deserved her, but Caleb and Carla had reinforced multiple times that they weren't one without the other.
"Alright. I'll tell them to come over tomorrow. Is that fine?" With a small head nod, he shot a text to the group chat and one separate to Eddie. Saying to bring Chris to keep Callie comfortable. He then went over to Caleb's with Callie and spent the afternoon there.
After sending the text messages, ten minutes later Buck's phone started going off. With responses to the invitation to his apartment. They all had accepted.
-------------------------------------------
118🚒
Hen:
Sure, got nothing going on
Tried swinging by earlier and you weren't there
Chim:
Down to go, wanna bring Maddie
 Is that okay?
Buck:
Yeah that's fine
Bobby:
I'll be there, Athena will be too
Hen:
Karen will be working so I'm flying solo tmr
Eddie:
I'll be there
-------------------------------------------
Eddie
Hey thanks for the invite, Chris will be there too
Good to know, I was thinking of making pasta or ordering
Just order pizzas, we'll be fine
Alright, see you tmr
-------------------------------------------
A few minutes after the pizzas arrived, so did their visitors. Callie claimed that she had to make a good impression on Athena. So Buck styled her hair in Dutch braids and put on her best green shoes paired with her black overalls and striped yellow shirt.
She set out a LEGO box of Hogwarts on the coffee table for her and Chris to build together while the adults talked. When knocking was heard at the door, Callie and Buck got ready to receive them. All of them arrived near the same time so they decided to walk in together.
Taking a deep breath, Buck opened the door and smiled at them. However, their attention was quickly drawn to a young girl's voice yelling.
"Surprise bitches!" Callie was doing a dramatic pose whilst wearing sunglasses that Buck had bought a while back. They looked comically huge but somehow they went with the outfit. As they walked in, they all had shocked faces. Except Bobby, Athena, and Eddie. Caleb was still in his place fixing something with his sink.
"Guys, meet Calliope Buckley. My daughter of six years old." Maddie looked distraught yet enamored. Hen looked like she wanted to kill Buck but hugged the hell out of Callie. Chris was shaking with excitement. Chim was looking between father and daughter. Probably making comparisons in his head. Athena was smiling with a fond look in her eyes.
Bobby had probably told Athena about her already, which was fine, but the look Bobby had was heartwarming. Eddie had a small smile on his face and glanced at Buck.
"What?" Maddie asked looking to Buck for answers. But before he could answer, Callie began chatting with Chris.
"Hi, I'm Callie."
"I'm Chris."
"Wanna build a LEGO Hogwarts?"
"YEAH!"
As the kids walked away and sat at the coffee table, Buck led the adults away as best he could from the kids.
"Questions and theories, I know. But right now, have some pizza." So they did, and while they were serving, Caleb walked in.
"Hey lovely's. How's it going?"
"About to explain." They all looked at him to continue and not leave them on edge. Breathing in a sigh, he started talking. "A few years back, I met a girl. She was sweet and cool and I thought we had something special. Then, she got pregnant and she explained to me that she didn't want kids. I respected it and decided to break it off. She had Callie because she knew how much I wanted kids. I was a teen dad by technicality. Callie's grandparents took care of her while I lived with my mom and dad. After I got my job here, I was able to have her move in with me." Waiting for it to register in their heads, he silently let them ask questions. Then Chim raised his head.
"So, who's mom?"
"Penelope Smith. She has a master's in medicine and is a practitioner for athletes specifically. She sends me money when she can. Doesn't mean I don't have to work though."
"Grandparents are sweet. They come to visit from Michigan when they can." At Maddie's eyebrow raised Buck explained further.
"After having Callie, they moved to Michigan for Pen's college and to raise Callie in a more communal area. Meanwhile, I went off to travel. Mainly to get my parents off my ass. I didn't want to at first but Harold and Ellie told me to go for it."
"Nah, Harold practically dragged you into that Jeep." Laughing at the memory the 118 smiled at the pair. Eddie too, his was just dimmed slightly.
Running into the kitchen, Callie looked up at Buck.
"Can we get our slices? Me and Chris want to multitask." Earning smiles from everyone in the kitchen, Buck got four slices and put two on each plate. He turned around and sighed at his family.
"Who's hungry?"

I decided to just post in parts because Harry's part was over 4k words. I don't know the limit on tumblr and I don't want to risk it. Cause then people lose interest. Thanks for voting though!

Spider-Man; Vol.1 Harry Grant
Harry, Denny, and Christopher as Spider-People. Harry's first. Don't worry no one(important) dies(yet). Also, I edited the poster of all three of them. Twas not fun. (No cat is coming with them to fight crime, I couldn't find a male Sun-Spider to represent Chris' crutches but just pretend that he's got male anatomy in the picture.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He never wanted to get bit. It was by accident. And by accident, a spider that was in the house Jeffrey used for his little escapade had stowed away on Harry. Camouflaging itself in his hair. Getting bit when he was unconscious. After another incident at school, weird things started happening.
His hearing, smell, and sight were increased. He could feel things almost before they happened. Like something was telling him, 'Watch out!'. It's how he got away from someone else trying to kidnap him when he was out with friends at the mall. Sometimes things would stick to his fingers for extra time but he didn't think anything of it. Still trying to forget the incident. Until his wrist shot out a long white sticky string.
After that, he confided in May. He wanted at least someone in the family to know what was going on. Granted, she wasn't happy that he kept it a secret for three years. She understood in the end, that's what mattered.
She asked a friend who graduated already, who had a major in bioengineering, to help out with a slight issue with her brother. Agreeing to keep the secret, Peter explained to him how his powers resembled that of a spider.
"You did kill it right?" He had asked. Harry shrugged and May rolled her eyes at her little brother. In his defense, he liked bugs. What was he gonna do? All he did was grab it, stick it out the window and-
"Oh my god, I let it out my window." He said rubbing his hands against his eyes. When he felt, well 'sensed', that May was about to throw a pillow at him, he quickly stuck out his arm and caught it. Taking a break from becoming a lab rat, Harry had gone out to the convenience store to get snacks for the three of them. Then the cashier was held at gunpoint. Great.
Lifting his COVID mask, which he still wore if he felt like he was getting sick, he grabbed a ski mask from the back and put it on away from cameras. Probably stupid as someone must've already called the cops but he needed to do something. Jumping out from the aisle, Harry aimed his wrist and prayed he didn't look stupid. Luckily, he didn't. The webs, which Peter told him to call them instead of sticky white stuff, grabbed hold of the gun and was pulled back into Harry's hands. The robber and cashier looked at him in shock.
Panicking Harry shot out another web with his right, landing on the robber's face, and pulled on it. Making the guy land hard on the ground. Knocking out unconscious. Not knowing what to do next, Harry looked at the cashier and walked up to pay for the snacks.
"N-nah man! On the house!" Harry must've looked shocked so the cashier explained. Rob. "Not everyone can do that. And I'm not just saying that." Still confused Harry took that as a sign to leave the store. He forgot that he still had the mask on, so when he walked outside with a plastic bag and a ski mask on, the cops outside assumed he was the robber.
In their defense, he was dressed like one. The universe loved messing with him apparently, because the officer in front of him was his mother. With a gun pointed at him. That kinda stung, though he couldn't be too hurt. She had no idea who was under the mask. While debating in his head whether to remove the mask or not, his mom started speaking in her work voice.
"Put the bag down, and take that ridiculous mask off you!" Okay, so trying to calm her down would not go well. Luckily Harry was fast so he sprinted and jumped over a brick wall that led into an alley. He knew his mom would follow but that made it easier to get the attention off him.
When his Spidey-sense told him she was right behind, he instinctively threw his right wrist up to shoot out a web and launched himself. Into. The. Air. Landing on the building that was an office. Which definitely, didn't make people jump and scream at the small man who was sticking to the side of their building.
Snapping out of the trance, Harry realized he needed to think of something. No time for thinking about the massive fall below him. Not the time to try and tell the people inside to stop taking pictures of him. He needed to,... turn invisible? What!?
Taking the opportunity, he climbed down as fast as he could and ran back to May's place. Telling them what happened in extreme detail. Things were different now.
-------------------------------------------
That was a week ago. Harry had gone around training his power. Whether at the private lab, Peter had, due to working at some fancy tech company, or just serving vigilante justice to randos causing trouble. I mean hey, it was giving his family fewer dumb calls to take. Plus it meant more time with his mom. Although he got annoyed Athena the majority of the time. Due to the 'Slippery Slick' people were calling him. Cameras on the sides of buildings had caught the whole thing.
At a family reunion, Harry overheard the adults talking about him. Well, not him him, but you get it.
"I don't know, does he even know what he's doing?" Michael asked no one in particular. Again, his parents didn't know, but damn it hurt.
"Hey, if I got powers-,"
"I'd tie you to a chair and make you pinky promise to not do anything." Eddie interrupted Buck's penny for thought. Makes sense that Buck would do the same thing Harry was doing. Made him feel more confident his older brother would support him.
"Kid could get hurt. There are rules for a reason. Cashier told me he's on our side, but,... Look bottom line, vigilantes are outlaws for a reason." Athena said ending the conversation there. She seemed more uncomfortable to answer honestly. Why, Harry didn't know. He didn't think he wanted to know.
Three days after that, Peter called Harry and asked to meet him at his apartment. He had to tell his mom and Bobby that Peter was tutoring him with homework because everyone else was too busy, and he understood it better from Pete. Which wasn't a total lie.
"So, I have a surprise for you. I know how hard you've been working. And how dangerous this side job of yours can be," Harry rolled his eyes playfully but kept his attention on Peter. Who had walked over to grab a box and walked back to Harry. "So I wanted to give you this. Well, I technically made it, but you get it."
Shaking his head, Harry opened the box and went slower. His very own suit. Running into the bathroom he went to try it on. From outside Peter told him to bring his civilian clothes with him. Looking in the mirror after putting on the mask, Harry took in a deep breath.
The suit was one-piece style but had a hood attached to it. Walking out of the bathroom, Harry looked up at Peter who was taking the sight in proudly.
"Hold out your left arm." As Harry did so, Peter stuck in a thin and small USB that made the inside of his mask light up. When Harry focused his attention back on Pete, he saw his face glowing. Literally. Harry went to look in the mirror that hung above the couch in the living room and gasped in awe. His eyes were glowing with a makeshift fog effect. "The schematics in your mask will help you access situations out on the field. And connect me to your mask if you need backup. Whether I'm at my desk or not. It also can call anyone on your phone's contact list."
"Awesome."
"Alright, let's test this bad boy out."
-------------------------------------------
Athena had been patrolling the area when she saw a group huddling in front of the tallest building in the area. Parking the car and wailing her sirens a bit, she got out to see what everyone was looking at. Up, apparently. Lifting her eyesight, she gasped and wired her walkie.
"Available units near me, I've got a suicide about to happen at the Ten Thousand." Clicking off her walkie, she forced her way into the crowd and saw more officers coming in to de-escalate the situation. Then the 118 arrived, looking like they didn't know what to do. The kid was sticking to the side of the building.
Harry had never been so nervous before this moment. But he was so ready for it too. So, in a moment of faith, he jumped. Breaking the glass his fingers were sticking to and letting himself fall. People beneath were watching and the firefighters froze for a second. They weren't fast enough. Or were they?
Twisting in the air, Harry looked up and shot out webs to reach the top of the building. When they caught him, he ricocheted up and to the left. People on the ground were cheering as he swung away. Then Athena heard glass raining down and she told the people to leave.
"What just happened," Hen asked anyone who could answer.
"I think our friend just upgraded," Ravi answered smiling at the awesomeness in front of him.
-------------------------------------------
And boy, did he upgrade. Harry had never felt so sure of himself in that moment. Swinging around the city and stopping occasionally to stop crime. At one of these, he saw a redhead getting assaulted. Or about to, he should say. Improving with each encounter. Outsmarting some and overpowering others.
Jumping in between her and the men, he jumped and put the guy in a headlock with his legs and twisted his body quickly. Slamming the man on the ground. To the second, he shot out webs and jumped up landing on top of a street light. Shooting out more of the desired type of string, Harry wrapped the guy up like how a spider would a fly.
Jumping down, he ignored the looks of amazement he was getting from the people around who witnessed the scene. Finally getting a better look, he realized it was a reporter who Taylor had worked with. Mariah, or something.
"Impressive. Though, you're a lot shorter than I thought you'd be." Harry laughed and shrugged it off.
"I get that a lot. Gives me the upper hand though. They underestimate me, and I knock down their egos." Smiling, the woman held her hand out. Grabbing hold of it and shaking it out of habit, cause his mom raised a gentleman, he began stepping back.
"Hey, wait!" He stopped and turned to the woman again. "What's your name?" Well, he acted like a spider and he got bit by one. Might as well use it.
"Spider-Man."
With that, Harry backflipped on the side of the building nearby and swung off for a final round of patrol before sneaking back home and hiding his things. The morning after, thank god it was the weekend, came in a report from the lady he saved. His mom was making breakfast and listening to the news. Looking up at the mention of the masked vigilante.
"Last night, I was down the streets of LA, unknowingly being followed by dangerous men. Spider-Man, which is what the swinging hero chooses to go by, stopped them and saved my life." The TV then shows video clips of the fight from last night and the aftermath of how the guys were. Harry had hoped that he didn't go too hard on the guys. He and Peter found out he could break solid rock if he wanted to.
"That's pretty cool. That there's someone else helping you guys." He said trying to subtly push his mom's opinions, of him ironically, out.
"I don't know if cool is the right word, sweetheart. Brave, yes. But cool. No." She turned off the TV and kept making food, changing the topic to school and friends. At least she wasn't overly anti-Spidey like his dad. That would hurt later.
-------------------------------------------
Swinging through the city for the rest of the month was fun. Oddly therapeutic. Got his mind off teenage angst and emotions. Every day after finishing his homework, and eating dinner, he would sneak out and swing through the city and patrol around till about 2:30 and then go off to sleep if nothing held him up. His latest was 4:30. He needed some sleep for school.
And for his family to not get worried. May had also installed a tracker on him which told her exactly where he was. At all times. Fair.
One night, however, while sitting on top of a building's gargoyle statue, his mask sent a notification. Trouble near the 136 and he needed to get there quickly. Once there he saw the firefighters outside talking with the 118. Bobby speaking with Bosko.
Landing on top of one of the fire trucks parked outside, he drew people's nearby attention. Looking up Buck smiled in awe.
"Spider-Man!" Harry nodded up and turned his attention to Bobby and Bosko. Reminding himself to call him Captain and not what he usually does.
"Captain," He greeted gaining a nod of acknowledgment from the older man, "What's going on?"
"Something attacked our station. It's inside but one of our members is in there. It looked like a giant octopus. But he made a metal sound when walking. Power went out so we couldn't get a good look at him."
Suddenly long arms shot out from the station doors and grabbed hold of Bobby.
"Cap!" Buck screamed and ran forward in a failed attempt to save his father figure. The arms raised the man in the air and pulled him into the smoke coming out of the building.
"I've got it handled, you just take care of the injured firefighter! This doesn't seem like a normal thug!" Huffing out in amusement and shock, Lena nodded behind her, as if permitting him to enter. Good thing Peter installed that voice module thing in his mask. Didn't want people to recognize him at all. Especially because his voice broke halfway through speaking.
Shooting out webs at the frame of an open window near the top of the station, Harry hopped up slightly and whipped himself in. Landing on the roof looking at the station upside down. Very different from the 118. Using his mask, he scanned the building for body heat. Nothing. Heart beating fast, Harry prayed that Bobby was safe. Despite being pulled in by who knows what.
That's when his Spidey-Sense went off. Jumping down and front to land on the wall in front of him, he avoided mechanical arms that shot through the roof. The arms pulled out of the roof, and other arms grabbed onto the railing in front. Lifting a figure that looked human. Dammit Bobby, where are you?
"Hello, Spider-boy." The man in front of him asked.
"It's actually, Spider-Man. W-who are you, exactly? You're wearing a lab coat and have eight limbs. Are you like a Doctor Octopus? Doc Ock?"
"My name is Doctor Otto Octavius."
"Meh, I like mine better. Woah-!" Harry yelled as he jumped off the wall avoiding another attack from Doc Ock. "So, you wanna explain why you attacked the 136?! No offense," Harry bantered as he bobbed and weaved around the station with the man chasing him around effortlessly. Suddenly, Harry used the webs he shot out from both wrists, twisted his body, and launched himself back towards the other. Landing a swift kick to the face. "But I don't think you're the 'swinging' type! What do you think? Was that good?"
Growling in frustration, Otto commanded his tentacles to restrain Harry against the wall. He did, but just when he was about to get closer, an axe chopped his lower mechanical leg. Looking down he saw the 136 captain holding the axe and Bobby right next to him with parts of his shirt torn. Without thinking twice, Otto used one of the arms restraining Harry and launched the captains to the wall behind them.
"No!"
Harry yelled out, shooting out some webs from his free arm, and pulled Doc Ock closer. Kicking up his leg hard, hitting the man on the jaw, and threw him upwards through the ceiling outside. Landing on the elevated ground, Harry ran towards the captains who were knocked out and threw them over his shoulders.
"I gotcha you guys!" He said, while running back towards the window he came through while avoiding debris falling from the damaged roof.
Outside, the firefighters had tried to go in and search the building but during the chase, Doc Ock was careful to throw heavy objects to block the doorways. Trying to figure out ways to get inside and help the masked vigilante, Athena, and her partners showed up.
"What the hell is going on?" Just as Buck was about to answer, a loud crash was heard and caused the people around to turn their heads. All they saw was Doc Ock flying out and running away on all eights. A firefighter from the 136 was looking towards the window when Harry flew out carrying Bobby and the captain of the station. Just in time as well, the roof of the 136 had caved in. Athena threw her hand up to her mouth to cover her gasp.
When he landed he placed the 136's captain down on the rolly bed and then put Bobby down helping him gain his footing back. He'd woken up again when Harry was running out and leaped out of the building with a total of 320 lbs on him. Turning to the crew helping out their captain he spoke.
"Sorry 'bout the mess. Doc Ock sure left an impression."
"Doc Ock?" Chimney asked while checking  Bobby over. Hen went up to Harry to inspect the bleeding arm he had. Huh, the mechanical arm must've more than pinched him. Meh, it would heal.
"Better than Otto Octavius. And don't worry about it, it'll heal itself. Powers, remember?" Harry said mimicking his move when throwing webs out. Buck imitated it making Eddie chuckle and shoulder bump his fiancé.
"Well whoever he was, he's going to have an APB on him. I'm not technically allowed to let you go, but I'll let the chief and mayor know what you did. You saved my husband's life." Feeling pride swell in his chest, Harry nodded.
"Just trying to do the right thing. I don't think I could've handled losing someone tonight. Right now, I gotta get home before my mom beats my ass. I got school in the morning." Not a smart thing to say as everyone looked at him like he was insane.
"School? How old are you?" Getting more worried, Hen reexamined the arm, which was now fifty percent healed. Laughing nervously, Harry pulled away from the group who looked like they wanted to jump him. Too bad he jumped first and swung off.
"Might wanna keep an eye on that one Sergeant." Ravi. Ever so the quiet one, made the others jump but nod their heads in agreement. Softly, Athena sighed. Why did she feel like she'd met him before?
-------------------------------------------
Telling May and Peter about what happened the next day was exhausting. They decided to dive into Doc Ock more, whoever he was.
"Let's see. It says here that Doctor Otto Octavius was the head scientist at Otto Industries. They specialized in prosthetics that were connected to the neural link of an amputee's brain. Making them slightly more efficient than other prosthetics." Humming, Harry looked over Peter's shoulder while May was in the kitchen making chocolate sandwiches.
"How'd he end up like this though? He seemed, agitated. Annoyed. Desperate. And why go after a firefighter captain?"
Typing more, Peter pulled up files and reports of a fire that happened three years ago. An experiment gone wrong showed up a lot. Scrolling through some of them, one document mentioned a young woman named Olivia Octavius.
"His daughter."
"She died in the fire."
"Look at the pictures, zoom in!" As Peter did so, they could see the station that was there at the fire. 136. "Doc Ock blames the firefighters for his daughter not making it out."
"That's why he went after the captain, but why grab Bobby? Attention?"
"No. He wanted the Fire department to feel the same hits he felt. Losing a firefighter captain can be overcome. But losing two in the same night? Things fall apart." Harry said, rubbing his eyes. He hadn't slept well. Bobby almost dying back at the station in front of him brought back memories of Jeffrey. This time Bobby was kidnapped. While Harry was forced to watch.
"Go in my room and get some sleep. Mom already knows you're here." May told her little brother who was eating the sandwich she made him.
"No way, I gotta find him by today. He'll take advantage of me not being out there."
"It's five o'clock. I'll wake you up at midnight. You need energy." Sighing, he walked into his sister's bedroom. She was right, if he wanted to confront Doc Ock and win, he needed to rest his body. And mind.
After a six-hour nap, Harry woke up to talking in the living room. May and Peter were in front of a corkboard with string connecting pictures. They looked like the office meme.
"What, in the Sherlock Holmes, did I miss?" Turning at his voice, May looked up at him in the suit and smiled.
"Nothing much just found some leads on where our octopi friend might be."
"Yup, and we've got one big hint. Oscorp center. Our biggest competitor when it comes to selling world-changing technology." Peter said. Damn, if he didn't work at Oscorp, where did he work at?
"Why Oscorp?" Harry asked while walking toward the board and looking at the highlighted and circled science center picture.
"Oscorp shut down Otto Industries after getting into a battle of who was making more money. Oscorp won, and took over all technology Otto was working on." Harry frowned.
"That doesn't seem fair."
"It wasn't, and now that Otto's after a firefighter captain who's currently at a hospital,..."
"It's more than likely he's going after anyone else who wronged him. Oscorp being our best guess." May concluded Peter's thought.
Harry hoped that was the case. He wanted tonight to go smoothly. He wanted peace and quiet.
-------------------------------------------
Why does he do this to himself? Bobby's always saying how the Q-word is a jinx. Why didn't he listen!?
When he first arrived at Oscorp he snuck in past security flawlessly. Having a hands-up on the competition with invisibility powers. After reaching the lower levels of the building, he heard rumbling and load crashes. Screaming from the scientists and visitors. No time for invisibility.
Leaping down he started directing people.
"That way! Let's go, let's go!"
"Help!" Harry turned to see some debris that had fallen from the roof collapsed on a woman's leg. Shit. Running over, Harry lifted and tossed the giant piece of the building away. Shooting some webbing onto the victim's leg. Handing her over to a scientist and firefighter nearby. Guess they arrived quickly.
"Get her out of here! I have to deal with Doc Ock." Nodding the firefighter picked up the woman.
"Will do! Be careful kid!"
When he reached the testing area, Doc Ock was fighting some weird green-looking dude.
Just when Doc Ock pinned his opponent down, webs zipped in front and behind his head. Looking to his right, he got another kick to the face. Launching him to the wall. Shaking his head and dusting off debris on his coat he looked up more annoyed than before.
Harry narrowed his, which was expressed through his mask, but then he tucked and rolled after his Spidey-Sense warned him of behind. Spinning as he rolled, he faced the other person in the room.
"Hey there! My name's Spider-Man! How 'bout you?"
"Norman Osborn. A pleasure to meet you. I admire the kick you gave my friend. However, while cliche, he's mine." Just as he finished speaking, Norman controlled his hoverboard to speed at Harry while Doc Ock rammed towards Harry as well. Waiting for the last possible moment, Harry leaped up, making the two bad guys crash into each other. Shooting out webs, Harry pulled himself toward them and landed a punch on Otto and a famous face kick to Norman.
"I'm gonna call you Green Goblin. Suits your mask." Harry said as he dodged something G.G. threw at him. Beginning to walk forward, a small explosion pushed him forward faster. "Bombs! Are you insane!"
Laughing, G.G. ignored Harry and sped towards him with Doc Ock in tow. Somehow these two worked well as a team. Scarily enough, thank go they didn't fully get along. Awe, Harry brought them together- he's gonna hurl.
"Weren't you two trying to destroy each other a while ago!? What happened to that!?" Harry asked rhetorically while avoiding and throwing attacks. Hopefully, everyone above evacuated the building. Because by the way Green Goblin threw his bombs, not everyone was making it out.
The fight seemed to go on forever, that is til one of the bombs had hit a pillar that supported a huge portion of the floor above them. Green Goblin flew away and escaped through the opening, while Doc Ock was busy trying to murder Harry.
"This is your fault. If it weren't for you, I would've gotten my daughter back, my job!" What? Scanning the area, Harry's mask told him a lucid gas was in the air. It had properties that made people hallucinate, which explained why Doc Ock thought Harry was Green Goblin. While Harry was distracted, Otto took the opportunity to pin Harry against a wall with his arms. Cracking the wall behind him. "It's over Norman. You're going to feel the pain I had when you took away my life's work. It could've saved her. My Olivia."
Oh no.
"Goodbye." He said before rushing towards Harry. As if in slow motion, Harry kicked up at the last moment. Without holding back. Launching Otto into the concrete ceiling. A crack was heard, and Harry fell to the ground. Taking a breath, he realized the building was collapsing and burning. Scanning for life, he saw glimpses of Otto's. No.
"No!!" Swinging through the hole made by the man who attacked him, Harry landed near Otto. He was hefting loudly. Wheezing while trying to speak.
"Olivia,.."
"No, no no no. Come on! We've gotta go!" Harry flipped him over and disconnected the tentacle on Otto's back. Making yell out in pain. "Come on!" Harry yelled out, picking the man up and swinging out of the building avoiding large debris.
Once out, Harry was able to see the damage. Oscorp was destroyed. Smoke coming from the center. Landing on a building nearby, Harry saw firefighters outside trying to put out the smoke. Landing he cried out.
"Help! He needs help!" Gaining the attention of Eddie and Buck, they ran towards him and took Otto. Harry tried to follow but he fell to the ground. Hen and Chimney rushed over to him, asking to remove the mask for breathing but Harry refused. His vision focused on the firefighters 20 feet in front of him.
He saw Buck shake his head.
He failed. His ears rang. He looked over to see a cop walking over with handcuffs and a gun in hand. He's failed. Athena steps in front of the cop. Muffled yelling. Their hands are off him. No one touches him. Bobby.
A hand was placed on his shoulder. Looking up through the lenses.
"Breath in." Fuck that.
Harry rammed into Bobby's chest and shut his eyes. The inside of his mask was wet from his tears. He failed.
"No, you didn't." Looking up, Bobby looked at his eyes despite not knowing who was underneath the mask. "You saved the most lives. That's what matters."
"I don't care what old laws are! The mayor was set to reveal Spider-Man as a trusted ally of the LAFD and LAPD. So back it up, before I take your badge and gun from you." Athena reprimanded the cop before turning back to the boy savior.
"Oh baby, come here." She said pulling him into a hug. Despite having to pretend she wasn't his mother, he couldn't help it. "You did what you could."
"We've got new trouble." He said when he let go of her. "Green Goblin. Norman Osborn. He's gone mad. I don't know how, but I'm going to find out. And I'm going to bring him to you." He said determined to come back with an alive enemy next time.
"I know you will. We'll be on the lookout as well. Go home, I know your family's worried." Yup. May crushed him into a hug and Peter cried out apologies for encouraging it in the first place. The next morning MJ reported on how Spider-Man saved her friend, Phin's life.
-------------------------------------------
Playing video games was a great distraction. The family was over for a barbecue and Harry was talking to Denny while Chris went to the bathroom. He'd gotten better at doing things by himself.
Harry was just about to beat Denny when the game paused. Looking over at player two he saw Denny looking scared.
"You okay?"
"Y-yeah, just,.." He got up and closed the door. Locking it. Huh. "Some things have been happening. Like physical." Huh. Awkward puberty talk.
"Oh, well. I mean, yeah, you're a teenager now and things are going to start changing with your body and-"
"No. Not that." Harry quirked his eyebrow. Denny sighed and stimmed his hands. "It-,.. It's better if I show you." He said while bending his knees slightly. Harry closed his eyes.
"Denny no please-!" Thud. Huh. Braving, Harry opened his eyes. Denny was gone. Scratch that, he was on the roof. The. Roof! Denny was smiling while panicking.
"This is weird, right?" Smiling in return Harry leapt up while twisting mid-air. Landing in front of Denny whilst sticking to the roof like a pro.
"Not that weird." Denny looked in awe. Then relief. They're not alone.
