“I love you 3000” the video ends. She’s not 5 anymore, she knows. She’s not an adult, she’s not seasoned by death, but she knows. He disappears again, and she gets mad. Why did he have to leave her? Did he not love her? Why did he go? Couldn’t someone else have used the gauntlet instead of her dad? She throws the machine that plays his video, it breaks, she cries even more.

“I love you 3000” the video ends. She fixed it. It’s been a year without her father’s voice and his smile, but she fixed it. She’s just like her father, clever to no end. She cries more as she restarts the message.

Her daddy said “I love you tons” she knew that a ton was a lot, it was 2000 pounds. He had taught her that in the shop. She loved him more than that. “I love you 3000” she said. “Go to bed or I’ll sell all your toys” he would never do that, she chuckled and fell asleep happily.

But he left her with so much more than just a video. He left her a shop, a loving mother, a family of superheroes who would destroy everything in their paths to keep her safe. He left her two brothers who weren’t really her brothers but may as well have been. He left her a legacy, not to protect, but to grow on. He had lived his life in the shadow of his father. He was Howard Stark’s Son. He would not let her live her life in the shadow of him. She would be remembered as Morgan Stark, not Tony Stark’s daughter.

“I love you 3000” the video ends. She watched it before her wedding. He would be proud. She fixed her makeup and had her mother give her away. She cried again, but this time she was happy.

No body fucking believes me!! I met Robert Downey jr on the highway yesterday I cant show the whole videos but in the original he gave me somthing!

Ok so the story is I was in Boise (no one knows wtf that is I know but it's a city) and my dad was during me to my buddys house I was a little salty cuz I was an hour late but in a pretty okay mood cuz we where talking about RDJ and tom hiddleston and tom Holland stuff like that cuz the day before I FINALLY watched end game there was this red car that had "stark3" and stark interprized little frame my dad pointed it out and we where laughing cuz our last name is literal stark and then we pulled up beside the car and I looked at the driver and said "holy shit is that-" and I screamed "HOLY SHIT THATS ROVERT DOWNY JR!" and my dad looked and went "no it cant be why would he be here" the he waved at us and we dead ass both screamed so began 20 minutes of RDJ driving behind and beside us waving and smiling and giving us peace symbols and jsut having a good time we reached the a read light and ge was still beside us he rolled down his window and so did we and we told him that our last name was stark and also I yelled "novodys gonna believe me!" So he handed me a fucking rad iron man mouse and then he said by and we drive off to my buddys house my dad was screaming and losing his mind I was losing my mind we where so glad we dont have that idoitic behavior filmed but its embarrassing as fuck but you cant blame us I met my hero! I watched the frist iron man when that shit came out and i ADORED it it was one of my favorites still is and I've never fainted in my life but when my freind opened the door I swear to God i fell into his arm red faced and a little teary as I tried to explain everything that happend two people believe me out of the 23 I've told (I have alot of freinds in love em all) but I know I met him and I hope that he heard me tell "I'm going to be like you one day better than you one day!" Cuz another motivation to becoming an actress is meeting him again and proving to my buddys that I actually met him anyway it was the best and this is just a rant now but God damn if I see you again RDJ you better believe its gonna be while I'm walking the red carpet and trying not to cry while walking with my heros

Did Odin really favor Thor, or was that all in Loki’s head?

It absolutely wasn’t all in Loki’s head! I think it’s pretty clear that Odin would have never be eligible for a “parent of the year” award. From childhood, Loki and Thor were raised in opposition:

I’m going to quote Alan Taylor and say “their father so completely screwed up their childhood. You don’t tell two boys that their both meant to be king but only one will do it.” And I’ll add: you definitely don’t tell two boys they’re meant to be king knowing full well that their fates were predetermined. Loki never stood a chance because a) he was second-born  b) he was not Asgardian. 

But we all know honesty was not Odin’s strong-suit. 

I wonder how long it took for this little boy to learn that he was always going to play second fiddle to his brother…

But moving on to the end of Thor, where Loki thinks that destroying the Jotunheim (and finishing the war that Odin started) will prove to his father that he is just as strong and formidable as Thor. 

“I only ever wanted to be your equal” well doesn’t that line just sum up Loki’s character perfectly? He only wanted to be given the same treatment as his brother; to make his dad proud. His entire arc in the first Thor film is centered around trying to gain Odin’s affection, and Odin refuses to give it to him.

Let’s talk Avengers. There’s a throw away line in there where Thor tries to remind Loki that they were raised as brothers (they played together, fought together, etc.) and Loki responds:

And this isn’t the only time this “shadow” is referenced. Frigga mentions it in a scene that they savagely deleted from Thor: The Dark World.

I love this interview of Tom from D23, where he talks about Loki and Frigga’s relationship in comparison to Loki and Odin’s relationship.  

One has to wonder if Loki’s mischievous ways started as an effort to gain his father’s attention? Of course it was. 

This scene is so hard to watch because Odin is so unnecessarily cruel when he yells “your birthright was to die!” Ugh I hate it. 

“I really don’t see what all of the fuss is about” and why would he when he follows his father’s example. “I went down to Midgard to rule the people of earth as a benevolent god, just like you.” And here he points out the hypocrisy— a king can conquer and destroy and he’s lauded as a hero. 

Exhibit A & B:

“All this because Loki desires a throne” This is the best display of Odin’s ignorance, because as we all know, Loki never wanted a throne. Odin never understood what Loki truly desired… actually, he never understood Loki period.Loki and Thor are two sides of the same coin. It’s the reason why he couldn’t be the parent Loki needed and why he bonded with Thor better. I would assume that training Thor to be the next king took precedence over any relationship he could’ve had with his second-son. 

But on the bright side there’s always Loki and Frigga’s beautiful relationship! Because he may have had a shit father, but Frigga was always there for him. She always strived to understand him and make him feel worthy and loved :,)

Grandmaster headcanons since nobody asked

His choppy manner of speaking is actually a nervous tic. Although he seems composed and cheerful, he’d rather not speak to strangers. It’s less present around people he trusts or has known for a long time. Most of the time he’s incredibly anxious.

Loki never “ran out of favor” with him. Loki just doesn’t feel like he deserves him.

His favorite color is blue.

Loki told him about how his family treated him, and how Thor was definitely the better-looking brother, so the Grandmaster made Thor get a haircut purely for revenge. (I actually mentioned in a fanfic I wrote that he did everything he did to Thor out of spite because he’s just that bitch)

He’s more of a dog person, but he still likes cats.

After being overthrown, he went into hiding, biding his time until he had the means to find Loki again.

He does miss his old lifestyle, but he’d rather have Loki back than anything else.

He was very lonely before Loki showed up. He had everything except someone to share it with.

En has a lot of wisdom to share with those who’ve gained his favor. He gives a lot of good advice and is actually a swell guy.

He’s pansexual.

He sleeps on his side.

His outfit contains a lot of soft or smooth fabrics because those just feel better to him.

He’s not shy about affection and has no problem hugging or kissing anyone. He does respect boundaries, so if someone isn’t comfortable with, say, kissing, he won’t kiss them.

That being said he’s just a really tactile person in general. He loves touching and being touched.

He’s very forgiving, but he definitely won’t forget about what Loki went through.

He knows how to braid! Although his hair is too short for it, he can braid someone else’s hair for them. Sometimes he would braid Loki’s hair.
