When people ask what have I seen you in… I normally say something like—- whatever you haven’t seen me in- but really what it takes as an actor that they don’t see is alllllll the hustle put into an audition,call backs, pins, possible choice and at the end… they went with someone else—-and we are always told it’s not personal— when it’s the most personal job—- it’s like perfume some people like the smell and some don’t and you can’t make them like that smell— you shop around till someone who likes it, finds it… saying all this to say— I’m so happy when I see any of my actor friends on any show doing any role as I get what it takes to book as an actor! I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Hurt while he was shooting a movie in Budapest… I remember trying to keep my cool as we were alone in the elevator and he started by asking where I was from… I never forget how sweet and chill he seemed— “we all walk on the same earth” he said smiling—-they always say- you never forget how people make you feel!
