I just watched a clip online of interviews from the public after the Kent State massacre. Random people on the street said they did not think the killing of four students was an overreaction on the part of the national guard.

An interview from one of the protesters stated that her father (not knowing she was at the protest) said he thought all of the students protesting should have been shot.

Voices of political dissent and opposition to the status quo have never been welcomed. No matter how peaceful, or how justified they may be.

i think its so funny that alumni from schools like harvard and columbia that were there during the protests in the 60s-80s are expressing support for students currently protesting against the genocide in palestine, and random zionists that were NOT at these protests in the 60s-80s have the never ending audacity to tell these alumni "well thats different, what you protested was good and what they're protesting is bad." as if protesters against the vietnam war and apartheid south africa were not also demonized, arrested, brutalized, and even killed for their activism. history only remembers them fondly after the damage has already been done.

I remember when Israel bombed the first hospital and claimed it was Hamas. So many believed it and said “Israel would never do that!” Then Israel went on to bomb every hospital claiming Hamas was underneath and those same people that said Israel would never do that, were suddenly fine with it.

Now we see that patients, nurses and doctors, family members of those in care, have all been executed. The people saying it was ok for Israel to bomb the hospitals are silent.

Fuck Israel and fuck everyone who still wants to pretend this is confusing or complicated. Is it really that hard to point out the "bad people" in a scenario where a multi-billion military apparatus is handcuffing and killing children and medical staff inside a fucking hospital?
