Hi, I recently have started wanting to get into fountain pens a bit. I was wondering if you have come across a dark/midnight navy ink that you liked? Thanks!

First of all, I am so excited for you!!! My personal favorite dark blue ink is Oxford Blue by Diamine. It’s affordable and the red sheen on it is amazing!! It was the ink that got me more interested in inks rather than just pens themselves. 💙

You can get it at most pen retailers and on Amazon. Diamine in general has a really good and affordable color variety and the inks tend to behave nicely.

Over the last several months, I've been less and less interested in my longest on-going hobby: fountain pens. Starting Uni was insane and I hardly had the time or energy. I am really excited as I am dipping my toes back into it, starting with these ones from Ferris Wheel Press that I got in December! I'm hoping to be able to spend more time on fountain pens, which were my crutch for several years

I’m using a new pen + ink from Ferris Wheel Press for my rough notes in my theatre class. And OH MY GOODNESS, I love this ink. It’s a great combo of subtle and interesting. It’s a darker purple color that sheens to green, which is perfect considering the inspiration behind it. It makes taking notes a little more fun <3

preparing for the new year

I've kept a bullet journal before, butI didn't have one at all in 2022. Hoping to get back into it for 2023 to help combat the disorganized chaos thing I have going on rn. As you can see, I am not the artist type of bullet journaler lol

In the past, I've been afraid to use fountain pens in my bujo (despite the fact I use them for literally everything else) but I'm making an effort to change that. I'm also trying to get over some of my perfectionist tendencies. I would normally tear out pages because mistakes bother me so much and I'd overthink everything. The goal is to get through the year without tearing out a single one.

I really want this to be an actual catch-all (like a bullet journal is meant to be) instead of just a planner and I want to simplify it from what I've done before (it felt like a weekly and monthly chore to set up). I bought the Midori monthly calendar stickers so that's one less thing to spend forever making. It seems like a small thing but I think it'll make a big difference :)
