I've seen ppl compare Vance Hopper to Billy Hargrove or even to Henry Bowers but I think there is a very clear distinction between Vance and them.

Billy is outwardly hostile and violent towards basically everyone, unprovoked.

Henry is a bully that finds pleasure in tormenting ppl, mainly those who can't defend themselves, again, unprovoked.

What we see of Vance is that while he's aggressive, he minds his own goddamn business. Granted in one of the few scenes we see from him he's literally maiming a kid, but it's not cuz he's discriminating against that kid or cuz he just enjoys hurting ppl. It's cuz he lost his game because of that kid.

Am I saying that Vance's violent and aggressive tendencies are okay? No, absolutely not, I think he's got serious anger issues that need to be dealt with. But it's unfair to compare him to two of the most harmful antagonists in their respective franchises.

Mainly what I'm saying is he's not exactly a bully and seriously yall, stop headcannon-ing him as being abusive, I really doubt that's the case.

Ok so I noticed that recently within the twilight fandom a lot of people have been clowning on/hating on jasper and the story for him being a confederate and then never addressing it afterwards (which is totally valid)

But like??? Why is nobody bringing up the same argument for Damon in TVD??? Not only was he a confederate, but this show romanticizes the confederacy so much that the town of Mystic Falls literally has a parade commemorating the confederates and the Civil War. In fact it is so glossed over that Bonnie, the only black main character in the show, is shown in the crowd of that parade scene SMILING AND CLAPPING??? At her friends who are dressed as confederates??? Wtf were the writers thinking and why have I seen no one talk about it???

Can we just talk about the fact that Snape was fully willing to let both Lily's husband and child die. Like think about that for a second. He knew that James and Harry meant the world to Lily and he was entirely okay with them being murdered if it meant he'd have even a chance with her. Not to mention the broader implication that he was totally okay with a baby being murdered if it meant furthering his own agenda. That's not the actions of somebody in love. That's the actions of a fucking heartless psycho.
