I gave my all, laid bare my soul's core, In return, you took, left me ashore.

With memories shattered, heart in shards, A broken home, its pain guards.

The thing is, even if I find someone attractive, I no longer have the will or energy to start all over again from the beginning.

To put in the time and effort all over again.

To get to know the other person and to let the other person know you.

To know what their favorite movie is or what’s their pet peeves all over again.

To know their eating habits or if they like to stay up all night.

To listen to their past and to tell them about yours.

To let them know your flaws and insecurities in hopes that at least this time, they won’t hurt you.

To start dreaming about a future together with them.

To get attached to someone again.

It’s just too tiring.
