- Jeff never expected to be in a parental/big brother roll again. He's supposed to be the most notorious and feared killer there is. Not fucking playing single dad over here! So imagine his surprise when the slenderman brought in a child no more than 4 years old and apparently the kid has no fear factor they just ran up to the biggest baddest person there was and befriended him. Ever since then Jeff became wrapped around their little finger.

-very over protective of them. He won't let anyone train them except for him and him alone. And if he has to let someone else take the reins for a bit he's watching them closely like a hawk. Trains them in relatively age appropriate ways as they grow up. They play pretend fucked up scenarios like how missions work or what to do when things go wrong how to interact with the other creeps. Think of it like 'it's me your scumbag dad' videos. He will teach them how to curse and questionable life lessons as they grow up.

-Toby is way too much of a nervous wreck to take care of himself let alone anyone else. And ever since Lyra died he's been too afraid to get attached to someone ever again despite the void in his heart. So imagine to everyone's surprise when the slenderman brought home a child no more than 9 years old. Clearly traumatized and heart broken and shooken up about whatever happened that brought them there. Toby protested about putting the kid with him as slenderman wouldn't take no for an answer. He's holding the kid out like how Mike wazozski holds out boo for the first time.

-at first he tried to distance himself from the child. Going as far as hitting and being mean to the child. He left them in the woods once. However that child was a persistent little creature and always found their way back to Toby. They followed him around everywhere like a lost puppy until he started to warm up to them after accepting that they'll forever always be there. He teaches them a lot of nature stuff. How to track. How to survive in the woods and to fight off predators. The raccoons and possums are your friends. He actually enjoyed being the big brother for once and the child filled the void in his heart that he desperately craved for.

-Jane was thrilled when the slenderman brought home a little girl. She's always had mothering instincts and she immediately scooped the child into her arms and the rest is history.

-very protective of her and keeps her the he'll away from Jeff. Going as far to lock her in her bedroom when Jane or anyone else she trusted wasn't around to accompany her. Keeps her on a very strict schedule for training and life to establish a routine before she allows the freedom of leeway and slight change of plans. Especially establishes a beauty routine. Jane teaches her that there are more than one ways to kill. Brains over brawn. Beauty comes second. Occasionally if they have free time they will have a girl's night where they do spa treatments, each other's hair, makeup and they eat relatively healthy snacks as they watch movies and gossip.

-EJ was quite confused when the slenderman dropped off a child to him with no word. Is it food? A sacrifice? A new prey?. He was curious and the child was non verbal so it's not like they could answer either besides head nods and writing and facial expressions and body language. Really he ended up not caring and didn't really bother the child as long as the child did not bother him.

-it all changed when the child showed intrigued in anatomy. After he caught them reading his old college textbooks. They communicate by sounds at this point. Showed them on a dead person where the organs were and why they were important. Later on the child became more of the strong silent type and was basically EJs assistant. They have a mentor/apprentice relationship. The kid knows first aid as well and makes a fine medic

-Nina was hyperactively jumping up and down for joy when the slenderman brought a 10 year old girl home who had the same aesthetic as her. They clicked instantly and immediately bounced off of each other's crack head energy.

-shes Nina's partner in crime and has never separated from her and Nina won't trade that for the world.

SATBK NINJAGO AU NO ONE ASKED FOR

ahaha... satbk stands for sonic and the black knight btw it's a wii game and it has a whole grip on my brain so now i'm combining my two fixations bc i can..!

this will be a long post btw, designs n ideas are all mine and just an FYI.. It is heavily inspired by satbk but i will probably develop it as an au outside of the satbk story.. for my own entertainment idk. also idk much about the knights of the round table / king arthur story so don't expect anything related to them besides the names..? idk

anyways let's start!

Lloyd and Harumi (aka Sonic and Merlina)

Lloyd is a lost prince that gets summoned to this part of the world by Harumi who is a wizard and gets asked to help stop King Arthur (aka Garmadon) from being evil n wrecking shit ig.

Lloyd is chosen to help but he's not a knight! Harumi helps him find an ancient lost sword (aka Excalibur aka Morro in this au. hear me out. i'll explain it in more detail later.) and gets trained to become a knight with his now very annoying talking magic sword haha.

Also spoiler alert ig- Harumi is the real villain all along...! she manipulates lloyd into taking down Garmadon in order to get Excalibur's scabbard (which is in evil king arthur's possession which makes him evil + immortal) and wants to rule Camelot for herself to preserve the dying kingdom and thinks she'll be a better ruler to where Garmadon failed ig. still working out the motivations here.

Morro (aka Caliburn/Excalibur)

Morro in this au is Lloyd's talking sword. You don't see his ghost form.. at all..? i just mostly wanted to draw him in ghostly prince form lol. Basically he was the crown prince before Lloyd but then died a tragic death and became cursed to haunt a sword..? Yeah sure. So Lloyd picks him up and Morro talks and yeah they're travel buddies now.

Morro basically helps Lloyd become a better knight, but they still bicker and argue like siblings and it is funny.

Okay I'm gonna put a read more here now bc this is gettin long. The rest of the ninjas designs + stories are under the cut!

Knights of the Round Table

Kai (aka Lancelot)

Kai is Lancelot/Shadow in this au! He's the most loyal to KA / Garmadon in this au which is really funny lmao. As a knight Kai will follow any order given to him, he's one of the strongest knights in the realm and he's quite hotheaded to boot.

He encounters Lloyd first and they fight bc Lloyd is trying to stop Garmadon. Inexperienced as a fighter and a knight he doesn't exactly beat Kai but gets away after a technicality. Umm I like to think they meet a few more times over the course of Lloyd's journey, and maybe there's a part where Kai gets stuck with Lloyd and they have to work together.

Despite having differences of opinion on what it means to be a knight, Kai sort of sees Lloyd as a worthy rival... and lowkey younger brother!

Cole (aka Gawain)

Cole is the second knight Lloyd encounters and fights on his journey. After having more experience Lloyd does in fact beat him fair and square! But Cole as a knight takes chivalry and honor very seriously. After losing he feels so much shame but Lloyd snaps him out of it because there's more to being a knight than serving a king!

Zane (aka Percival)

The third knight of the round table that Lloyd encounters and also one of the toughest opponents Lloyd faces. Zane's fighting style is full of poise and grace and even though he doesn't appear to be as heavy hitting or brute forced as Kai or Cole he is most definitely strong! If not stronger for being able to conceal his power!

Lloyd is an experienced knight at this point, when he has Zane on the ropes part of the cliff they stand on falls off, nearly taking Zane with it. But Lloyd swoops in to save him like a true hero. After questioning Lloyd about why he saved him when he shouldn't have, Lloyd says it's because it's what he does! He saves people!

I wanna develop the knights more outside of the satbk encounters, so hehe. Keep ur eyes peeled for that!

Last but not least the other supportive characters in the story!

Jay (aka the Blacksmith)

yeah it would've been funny to make Kai the blacksmith but i think Jay works better here!

Jay is the town's local inventor / blacksmith and tthe best kind around! Lloyd goes to his shop to sharpen up Morro Sword and probably visits after every fight he has too lol. Jay doesn't mind at all and likes Lloyd's company! Especially because he will get any chance to show off his newest crazy invention for Lloyd!

Nya (aka Nimue Lady of the Lake)

Nya takes the place of Nimue who gives Lloyd three tests to become a true knight. I had to put her here because of water.. water symbolism n all that.

She's also very chill and hosts tea parties and invites Lloyd to celebrate after becoming a true knight! She's like an older sister to him too!

And.. yeah that's it i guess lol! I don't have more designs yet to show but I do have ideas and other stuff in mind! if u ever wanna ask about it my ask box is open! i wanna develop more of this funny little au haha

Everyone teasing Nami about Sanji's flirting (well, Luffy laughs along but clearly has no idea what's going on) is iconic

Mihawk. Dracule Mihawk. Is it a complete waste to have Don Krieg there as canon fodder? Absolutely. But you cannot deny how fucking badass Mihawk is. Note that he refers to Don Krieg's gun thing as a "final gambit" implies that everyone in this world thinks in terms of finishing moves.

"little eggplant" is such an adorable nickname for Sanji. Zeff & Sanji's relationship is so dysfunctional - I want to love it, but they're just so fucked up, I can't judge

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I love Sanji's accent. I like that it separates him from everyone around him, but doesn't go the stereotypical 'chefs are French' route

I'm sad we don't get real Gin. He was a very cool, very complicated. Both me and Sanji are sad about his loss

Also Zoro clearly spews bullshit about Nami so she'll contradict him, revealing more than she would have told him otherwise. Like Nami, you are being played. Zoro isn't even particularly good at it, you're just not at your best right now

Zoro's "I had one friend" - dude, you and Kuina were friends for less than 24hrs.

Between Garp and Luffy, it's clear who got all the cunning in the family. Also Garp's "I want the freedom to handle things how I like" is suuuuuch a douchebag line. Suuuch scum. I take back everything I've said about liking Garp, he is clearly just a 'doesnt play by the rules' cop from a TV drama.

I like that Zoro meets Mihawk super early on in the story. Like, we need to see him be totally wrecked. Zoro needs to experience being totally unprepared for what it's going to really take to achieve his goal. Poor Zoro is here thinking "it's too soon. I didn't think I would meet him so soon" and we get to see he has the potential for greatness, but is clearly still at the beginning of his journey. Did you really think you'd be the greatest swordsman before you hit 20?

Also Zoro's "you said it yourself, you don't have any friends" to Nami is such a dick move? But also a well deserved 'fuck you' to Nami for trying to play aloof rather than accepting the vulnerability that comes with actual friendship. I get why she's conflicted and upset, but I can't help but disagree with her attitude in this part of the series. Like I love her, but she's just enough of a hypocrite to piss me off

Of course Mihawk likes the hat, Luffy. His weird friend/rival/ex-husband had a hat just like that

I love sword fights a lot, but the one between Mihawk and Zoro is painful to watch. It's the fight with Kuina again, and one again Zoro refuses to see that he doesn't have to be the best right now

However I love how Mihawk looks at Zoro though - like a prey animal surveying a particularly interesting bug.

Aaaand when it comes down to it, Luffy never even considered the possibility that Zoro would lose. And Zoro sounds like such a child for once when he makes his vow. Gah. What an ending

I don’t know if I’ve ever written a dedicated fic rec post so here we go! I’ve been oh-so-bad about reading snowbaz fics until recently so I’m excited to shed some praise on recent fics I’ve read and loved.

The sweet fruit of a palm tree by @captain-aralias (3k, Teen)

One thing I love most about Aralias fics (besides the fact that they are heartfelt and emotion-inducing and so, so funny) is that they all feel so intensely canon. And none more so than this deleted scene of Baz and Simon’s “date” to the British Museum.

She lit a candle by @chen-chen-chen-again-chen (8k, Teen)

God, I love this exploration of Lucy and her raising Simon. His tiny dragon wings! I’m dead at the thought. This feels like the story Lucy deserves and I’m so obsessed with Jamie’s come-to-Jesus moment with her.

I’m a bit behind on rec’ing this fic bc I know a lot of people have read and loved this but better late than never! Outside POVs of SnowBaz are so hard to pull off but this one should be the example all others follow: watching Agatha watch Baz fall in love with Simon tore my heart apart and put it back together. The Agatha & Baz friendship is everything I ever wanted. And oh god when Simon gets (a very minor) injury and Baz freaks out??? We wouldn’t see this in a Simon or Baz POV; they’re too unreliable as narrators. So having Agatha show us this moment absolutely wrecked me. I cannot sing this fic’s praises enough.

I knew this fic was coming and it still hit me like a freight train. Em manages to totally punch my heart into a new dimension in only (just??) 400 words. I should have known the queen of adorable dog-licking stories would make this COC veil prompt her bitch but, you know, I love that her writing consistently surprises me.

This. THIS is why I love the side ships/alternate ships prompt. I never would have imagined my world incomplete without a Martin/Mitali POV but this upended my world. Who hasn’t felt inadequate in the face of their brilliant partner? And Martin’s kind and honest self-reflection was so beautiful. God; I hope the Martins in this world understand that they are enough just as they are. I teared up reading this and I highly recommend it.

There's something to be appreciated in book!Aramis being a stickler for etiquette: d'Artagnan did nearly cause trouble for a woman and, in the same incident, nearly got Aramis into terrible trouble, just by trying to be polite about the handkerchief thing. xD You know at least you could trust book!Aramis with your confidences. =) (I mean, he's still an utter disaster sometimes, all the same. xD)

That is a hundred percent sure, he's super secretive! Aramis has always been my favorite character because of his ambiguity really. On the one side, there is the etiquette, the secrecy, the self-chastising he deems necessarry bc of his weird religious fear. On the OTHER side, he makes nasty jokes about the queen's honor, turns into some sort of harpy when Porthos tells him off, fights two enemies at the same time without twitching and just his SMUGNESS when he fights with d'Artagnan over the tissue!! But whenever Athos is around, Aramis is a little different, more the shy sort (I always love it when Porthos makes fun of him then and Aramis basically shrinks to tinman size while Athos just smiles knowingly). It's just... he's so toooorn between doing what he thinks he should be doing and doing what he really likes and I will now not delve into all my thoughts on his sexuality BUT yes Aramis, precious Aramis, what a train wreck, really, total disaster just like you said. I don't know what sort of image he's trying to portray towards d'Artagnan to make it seem like he's superior - which he isn't that's the whole point - but he really needs to stop it, it's embarrassing :D (just thinking of the moment he wants to join the Jesuites or the moment he tells d'Art that he's turned i don't know 38 or something and d'Art is like: now hold on I am 38, this can't be possible :,D)

To sum my stream of consciousness thoughts up: Aramis notices that d'Art is superior to him, simply bc he doesn't try to be anything he's not. Athos loves this in d'Artagnan. And there are a hundred reasons why I think d'Art and Aramis can't stand each other, but Athos' love is in my opinion one of them. d'Art gets so much of it, basically taking over the role of the youngest of the group, and Aramis keeps his distance to him. (Only in d'Art's last ever line in the last book is the rivalry and disdain between them really acknowledged, it hit me so hard in the gut omg i googled for days afterwards trying to deal with the pain.)

Hello!! I was rereading Little Favors (for the hundredth time now probably, it's just so good and wonderful and always gives me butterflies when I read it) and getting to the part where Kol says that he's never been anyone's best friend before just hit me so hard. Like when was the last time he'd been able to just be around someone? To be able to nerd out about magic without it being a life or death situation? To just have fun with people he can trust won't stab him in the back? It all just made me want to wrap him up in a blanket and let him relax and have fun.

(On a slightly lighter note, I was listening to the song Seven by Sleeping at Last and the whole restless wanna see and know and experience everything really reminded me of Kol)

Thirdly, you are so right! I thought it was so, so sad that we never once saw Kol make an actual friend without any drama or ulterior motives to hide. I mean there's that undefined period of time during which Kol pretended to be friends with Jeremy Gilbert but, honestly, that's just more sad. It's why I headcanon that Kol has BPD or Borderline Personality Disorder. It's highly likely that he believes he has to create an entirely different personality in order to be liked or cared for or loved - that just Kol himself will never be enough for anyone, that no one will ever love him for who he is instead of what he can do for them. Of course, he had Davina, but that relationship was drowning in drama and hidden agendas from the very start. Though she forgave him for abiding by Esther's mandates seeing as he really didn't have much of a choice, Davina still only associated with him after that for his "witch encyclopedia brain". I think that's just incredibly sad.

Anyway, Anon, if you're still willing to associate with me after this train wreck of a post, I just wanna say that I listened to Seven. I love Sleeping At Last, but I'd never heard that song before and I LOVED it! You're absolutely right, serious Kol vibes there. Somebody should make an edit to that song. Hear me out, gummy Karl. He's got the swirl on his belly and it's definitely ticklish as heck. I imagine that in his gummy form Karl can't really talk, kind of like blob Dream. I can see his noodle limbs getting all curly when someone hits a spot he really enjoys. I also hc that Karl becomes gummy when he's very tired or very emotional.

Sad gummy Karl will always be the target of his fiancés finest cheer up tickles.

Angry gummy Karl just needs one tickly lap around his swirl to become giggly and cuddly again

Tired gummy Karl will all but literally melt into soft tickles for relaxation.

But also he loves to help his loves out. Quackity stressed from elections or work on LN? Gummy Karl will happily drape across his lap to be a squeaky stress relief. Sap angry or upset? Gummy Karl will be quick to playfully provoke him into a better mood once by wrecking Karl for being a pest.

But of course he can be mischievous too. Going into gummy form to annoy Quackity by being tall.

shjdsnsj okay the SWIRL okay so that immediately set me off bc I love when lers do that thing where they start super far out on someone’s tummy and do circles and get smaller and smaller and smaller and close in on a lees bellybutton, and that just immediately made me think of how much anticipation comes with that and how nerve wracking it is to wait for it to dip in the lil spot. now I know it doesn’t lead to a bellybutton but it’s still sooooo extremely sensitive for the big squishy guy so he’s just chirping and jingling away, throwing his limbs around and somehow managing to miss the ler every time he flings his arms up. and when the finger that’s tracing goes more towards the middle of the swirl, that’s when karl’s limbs would kind of curl up on themselves bc of how badly it tks.

I love the idea that if he’s angry, it takes one lil swirl to get him all giggly and happy again ): I don’t even wanna think about sad gummy!karl bc pain™️ BUT the fiances would 1000% shower him in cuddles and tks and praises bc they’re just so good to him and love to make karl feel nice ): and tired gummy??? melty lil jelly pile when he gets lil tummy tks

The way you spoke about gummy!karl being a lil stress/anger reliever for quackity and sap ): just draping himself in their laps and putting their arms up and going “you can tk me if you want” all shy and giggly. and of COURSE they do, bc, how can you say no to that?

And I LOVE how mischievous and pranky you made him, especially the tripping people in manhunt and wrapping himself around people just because he can. And it’s funny bc I’m just thinking about him tripping someone and immediately wrapping himself around thems he’d be wiggling fingers wherever he can, and the lee wouldn’t even be able to move bc of gummy karl around them (:
