Ghost think's it's him because Price and him have a deep bond. They've worked with each other for longer than the other two and since they're closer in age he's obviously the favorite especially because Price trusts him

Soap thinks it's him because Price compliments him all the time and was there to mentor him. He was hand picked by Price and the captain knows his skills are top notch even at his young age

Gaz thinks it's him because he works with the captain all the time. Price and him are close, and Price trusts him just as much as anyone else and has taught him valuable skills in order for him to grow and climb the ranks
