Can I be real for a second? I don't think L giving a foot massage to Light was very in-character of him. Like manga!L would've totally scoffed at how pathetic anime!L appeared when he did that.

I like the rain scene bc it's really pretty (also Light MOANS bc of L? *sighs* yeah i ship lawlight) but I'm always so ?? at anime!L's behavior? The anime made L way too melancholic and y'know self-deprecating kinda guy. In contrast, manga!L (whom I love to death) is so so confident in doing what he's doing and has the time of his life during the Kira case as he's intellectually challenged (by Light) as he figures out the case little by little.

I don't get where the anime creators got the idea that L is a very sad character who cares about justice so much so that he's actually Justice itself? Manga!L enjoys solving cases. I'm not saying that L doesn't care about justice at all- just that he cares more about winning.

So, the anime creators looked at a character who cares about winning (& his own ego) than everything else and decided to... make him give a foot massage to his nemesis (surprise surprise bible symbolism featuring L as Jesus *🤮* coming up) apparently due to accepting Light's (boy's first debut as Judas) 'betrayal' how can there be betrayal when there was no trust between them in the first place and saying "It is the least I can do to atone for my sins"...

The only way I could've made a little sense of this is if L was mocking Kira with that line but the anime just had to go above & beyond to make it (L's actions) seem too genuine for that to be true. which is. so. FRUSTRATING

Manga!L wouldn't have done anything like that. Not even ironically (he'd have thought it to be below him for pretending to be accepting his defeat mockingly to Kira). Even Manga!L's not enough of a bastard to try to compare himself with Jesus (and just after knowing (god knows how) that he's going to die)- like that's too stupid omg: even for a mockery.

Does he actually think that Light would pick up on the (him as Jesus) symbolism and be like 'oh no! L is too noble like Jesus to die by my betrayal i'm such a bad judas how come i NEVER NOTICED THIS BEFORE'... and decide to spare L's life? Or embrace his inner Judas like the bad bitch he is and finish L for that godawful mockery of Jesus?

Whenever I think about Anime!Light's in-character reaction I crack up as it would be smth like 'wow this guy who graduated summa cum laude from torture university is pretending to be Jesus? lol what a real piece of work. would've expected better from you L: so pathetic lmao i hope rem kills you soon i'm so done with you rn- rip 💀'

Manga!L (if he knew he were going to die (don't know how that's possible in the anime; still we're talking about how the anime creators seem to see L as Jesus so ~anything is possible~) that is) would never go 'guess i'll die' accept his defeat offering a foot massage to his enemy and inwardly throw a pity party being all "… It'll be lonely, won't it?" GIRL you were the one going on & about how you'd EXECUTE Kira once you catch him on live tv (also saying that you'd bring Kira's head to the task force) I REALLY doubt you'd feel lonely if either one of you were to die- that (killing each other) was the point!!

Manga!L is a selfish character: he values his victory above all else so the anime making him accept defeat that easily + gracefully doesn't sit well with me.

the cycle of life for the entity of Death on Supernatural is so very interesting!! to me!! until it isn't. which is just. par for the course really.

i mean the idea that you can kill Death at all sounds. Absurd. but they make it happen. and we're hanging out for like a season and some change with the knowledge that the world exists without Death. and then. they introduce reaper lore that gives Death back to the world for a small. price, I'll say. WHICH IS. SO GOOD YK?

this kind of establishes the power of Death to be an amorphous thing really. Like. the Old Death was never killed before deanchester's moment of madness (that we know of anyway), so it's kind of a Doctor's first Regeneration moment there. he dies and you're like oh fuck. but then there's someone else in his place who is slightly different but also the same. it's kind of. like a reincarnation. which is FUN!!! IT'S GOOD!! it also establishes that Death doesn't really...die. there's no resting place that Death needs because Death isn't going to rest when someone "kills" them. mostly it's just power that's hopping celestial bodies.

they really could've leaned into this more with what little screen time Billie had. they definitely allude to it — i haven't watched s13 in a hot minute but the way Billie interacts with Dean as Death does have an allusion to how she *is* Old Death and also isn't. if i remember correctly. (which is not a 100% thing but yk)

the thing about all this super fun lore is that it makes everything from the end of unity sooooo damn stupid. Why would Death fear being killed? How would It even contract an infection that's gonna kill It??? Even if that's somehow possible, wouldn't Death — filled with vengeance even let's assume — just be like. well. I'll come back for you you bitch. like. this is the entity that has lived since before time. Death knows the value of patience and understands the ephemeral nature of life and time more than anyone else would. So why the anger? Or the desperate attempt at killing dean that's straight up Disney villain level of cartoonish. what good is any of it?? Say, Death is mad at Dean, specifically, for being "human disorder incarnate." that's something that still doesn't track for me. because dean's always BEEN that. when Billie became Death, she had the opportunity to exact revenge on him. He hasn't really done anything That Much Worse since then tbh?? Like okay apocalypse world is def a thing that happened, but even then. That "Michael -Lucifer" battle was barely anything. (and im assuming the grace-fed monsters were all taken care of as well bc the plot went nowhere with it anyway). also. at this point Chuck has revealed himself to the world so really. Dean's choices that might have irked Death were all ..like....mostly not his fault anyway? Wouldn't Death understand this?!

also. another thing. Again: You can't kill Death and Death doesn't need a resting place because it's a body-hopping eldritch power. which means that the empty can't kill it either. Which means that when the empty takes Cas and Billie, Billie was just. there. Arguably, neither of them really died. they were just sort of turned off inside the void™ like electronics. Which means!! THAT THERE CAN'T BE ANOTHER DEATH!!!

Death is literally just hanging out in the empty. It would probably escape/leave if the empty opened up again but like we don't know about all that. what I'm trying to say is that the reaper dying in 15.19 and becoming Death is. Stupid™. does not make sense. everything about 15.19 is stupid and does not make sense but the Death thing especially is making me so mad rn.

anyway long post that's just a pointless rant but essentially!!!!! there was no reason for Billie to do a full 180° on her entire personality and the writers to trash the lore to make the Evil Death moment happen like that was literally unnecessary and also stupid and not to mention racist. Like this is why i haaaate despair outside the bubble of the confession. because like yeah that scene literally did something to my brain but my god the actual insane plot gymnastics they did to make that confession go down the way it did is just...so insane lmao

I FINALLY FUCKING DID ITTTTTTT!!!!!!!! I FINISHED BOOK 3!!!!!

Oh man, that was fun but annoying, especially Azul's boss battle he took forever! I really like Azul, Jade, and Floyd. I'm not quite sure who my favorite of the three is! I love them all so much! I couldn't stop giggling like an idiot when everyone was looking at the picture after the boss battle. The overblot voices are so cool, and Azul was no exception. I kinda feel bad for the poor guy. No one deserves to be bullied. (He's still a lovable little shit though lol)

I really like their suits when they are working in the lounge! I also really like their underwater forms! Not to mention just how cool Azul looks in overblot form!

But why was Micky Mouse in my mirror lmao (rhetorical question)?

Now, for the real question since I always ask something: you obviously really like Azul, so who is your second favorite?

overblot azul took me so long to beat too but isn't he just GORGEOUS??? i wish we got to see his merform without the near death experience :((( i would really like a coral sea event but even though i know azul wouldn't be inclined to show that side of him regardless. but yes, the leech twins are beautiful in their merforms. i'm so curious about how their fins and skin feels, with the mucus. it might not be a good idea to touch though since moray eels can be toxic.

azul's been through some tough shit but he came out the other end stronger and smarter, for better or for worse. on one hand, he's a powerful & influential person, which is everything he wanted to be when he was younger. he proved his bullies wrong. he stomped on them with foot and said "HAHA BITCHES WHO'S LAUGHING NOW!!!!" but that's also really bad sometimes because all of that drove him to overblot. he spends all of his time working and working and working because thats all he is. if he doesn't have power he's nobody. of course this isn't true by a long shot. azul is the dork that likes collecting coins. he's the boy that's so close with his family and greatly treasures them. he's the boy that played piano in the band he had with his childhood friends. he's the boy that can sing really well and has an amazing eye for business opportunities. azul ashengrotto is a person without his power, but he feels that's all he has to lean on.

ANYWAYS.....MICKEY MOUSE. i may be stupid but i have no idea why he's showing up. i just kinda rolled with it.

jade single handedly dragged me into researching edible plants (for the harveston event) and got me into watching mushroom documentaries, which eventually got me into the science of mycorrhiza (a symbiotic relationship between orchids, one of my favorite flowers, and mushrooms) so he's taught me like half a bio degree i think /J

also jade's one of those characters that is just gorgeous. there's no explanation for it, he's so just so ethereal. its unhinged. hes so weird. he also played the contrabass when in that band w azul and in the harveston event he talks about having a knack for woodwinds which i FREAKED OUT upon hearing because i play the FLUTE and i was SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually rewriting drafts. A lot of the time, I don't typically rewrite drafts, but for some of the Ghosts ficxs, I've actually got multiple different versions of fics LOL

Uhh I'd say I've definitely developed a stylised way of writing? Which, is actually pretty much just the way I write normally AHA - a lot pauses in strange places, and of course the angsty internal monologuing. I also like messing with structure when I can (Unfortunate House of Leaves simp over here)

Catching when my tenses slip. I don't know why, it might be due to roleplaying, but I find that I often flip between past and present tense in the middle of writing (where it wouldn't make sense to) But I've been able to catch it, lately. Makes editing fics a bitch LOL

top 2 writing resolutions:

Just posting more honestly. Last fandom I wrote fics for got a grand total of three fics because I didn't get to finish the others LOL, and then I kind of drifted off to other things (it's still some of my best angst work, so hopefully I can bring that energy to the Ghosts. The character I fixated on actually might have some similarities to Logan ssooo 👁 👁)

Maybe trying to branch out more? My two modes of writing are Hurt/No Comfort (hilarious, because I hate reading Hurt/No Comfort) and Whump so maybe I can try smth else? Maybe romance? Definitely not something I'm familiar with writing, but it feels like something I could try. (The real issue is finding ships I wanna write about /hj)

From Just Us, I'm quite fond of this line:

Shame stirs in his stomach, making him nauseous before working its way up, gripping his heart and then balling up to cause a lump in his throat that he tries his best to swallow around. "I miss him." The shame ignites like a gasoline trail, flaring quickly into anger (whether it's at himself or Rorke... it's hard to tell with all the smoke) that only makes him feel more sick. "God damn it, I miss that piece of shit."

From the Nightmares fic I'm working on (almost done with it!):

Her eyes did more than enough talking on that front, strangely expressive for how closed off she otherwise seemed. They told a thousand stories; all indecipherable, written in a language that no one could speak of, but could understand all the same. The mind's exact tales of suffering were locked away, hidden, but their effect still seemed to shine from the soul's very own fractured looking glass. A hint of resignation acted as dust upon the reflection's surface; a house haunted by time more than any other phantom.

and then this giant excerpt from a WIP abt Hesh :)

Occasionally, a glimpse will come to Hesh’s mind. Sometimes it’s intrusive, lightning flashing against a canopy of dark clouds, shaking the foundations of his mind with a deafening roar. Sudden, brief and violent in nature. Other times it’s… slow. Easy and gentle, like ocean waves crawling their way up the beach; soft, hushed. Almost comforting, if not for the deep grief that the tide often brought with it, the wind brushing by carrying the faint echoes of laughter and excited voices.

On days like this, the wind only seems to carry his own distant screams. The tide now feels lonelier than it ever did. That one set of footprints trailing in the sand was just that; a single set. The second set of imprints settled in his own stride now gone.

Instead, the ghost of his shadow is embedded yards away, a trench dug out by desperately grasping hands, reaching for anything. Reaching for him.

It’s still the gentle ease of a memory washing over him, sea foam gathering, swaying and receding slowly, but that’s perhaps what makes it worse. The slowness. The time he has to sit there and dismantle himself from the inside out, while his own head taunts him with things he no longer has, can no longer reach out for. Even the ebb and flow of water can wear down cliffs with enough time, steady and persistent in its movements.

i'm planning on posting my thoughts on each chapter i read of FLIGHT OF ICARUS because I think it's generally worth talking about, I finished chapter...seven I believe but let me talk about the things before that I didn't. I understand some of ya'll hate this book. That's fine. Just as long as you don't make those that do like the book feel guilty or one inkling of bad about it, it's all good. That's honestly the only thing disheartening about seeing the hate on this book, because I for one had been jazzed about it and it was genuinely bumming me out seeing so much hate for it. So like, idk, be mindful of that? However I will be tagging my posts about it — 📖 — flight of icarus — in case ya'll wanna blacklist, giving your opportunity for that rn. Being as fair as I can about this whole thing. I've never seen such a reaction out of a book like this, it's kinda crazy. we all here for a good time, guys. at least I hope so. I'll also be putting these under a cut, hopefully that works with mobile folks, idk. ANYWAY. Gareth and Chrissy thoughts under the cut as well as everything i've read thus far.

SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS AHEAD!

first thing's first! let's give a round of applause to caitlin schneiderhan, because she living all our dreams. not only a professional writer and part of the ST writing team, but she got the holy grail of being offered a chance to write about our boy. like pls, i love that. i really don't mind the first person ( which from what i gathered, the other books like Lucas on the Line and Runaway Max, Rebel Robin are done the same? correct if i'm wrong ) but mostly it gives me and readers a chance to really be in our boy's head, read his thoughts and hearing his lovely voice in my head.

And honestly.... and some folks will probably disagree... From what I read so far, and what got me excited the most about this book... the writing really does, to me at least, don't have to agree, it feels very Eddie to me. Right from the scenes of Gareth, Freshman Gareth with the floofy hair and chrome mouth, being upset that his character ( that he didn't even make ) became fish food and Eddie being like, "...then we just make another character" because that boy was so pissed that he got himself, in his mind, kicked out and Eddie being the one like, "...no? After the gutsy move you did, there's no way we're not going forward without you" and taking moments of his time to help him create another character? And the glee Gareth had over it? Come onnn.

and cutting to that, one of the excerpts that came out, creating that character and being patient, as any 18 year old would be, and guiding Gareth to get that spark for the game, in creating a character from scratch, and all in a risky move of basically breaking into an empty classroom that they could have been caught in, just added to it. the fact that this act, seeing Gareth so into it, lifted Eddie's mood after Al came back was....ahhhh.

AND THEN! THEN!

The line that killed me, when Eddie asked him why he wanted to be in Hellfire so bad since he never played D&D and Gareth's answer being, "...where else was I supposed to go?"

OH MY GOD.

THAT FUCKING KILLED ME!!!

The start of Eddie the shepherd, herding his little ship. are you KIDDING.

Which then led to the whole Tommy H, which, fuck this guy. His cronies, including JASON CARVER and Chrissy Cunnigham.

DEEP BREATH.

I do love the talk of Steve, well after the breakup with Tommy and even what, Sophmore?? Jason being like, "Harrington won't like this" BECAUSE JASON IS A BITCH.

But can we appreciate Chrissy just not being for this and tried to PRY TOMMY'S HAND FROM GARETH????

I remember someone made a post, i can't remember who you are! If you remember, let me know! That Chrissy wouldn't have been the cheerleader that would be okay with bullying, i mean, god, her own mother bullied her all her life, and like, to that person, THAT MAKES TOTAL SENSE and I feel it was backed up with this.

I'm not a HELLCHEER stan per say, but I will admit, the thought is cute and there was def potential in my eyes but also like... I don't have an actual ship in this show, just like... I could see it and leave it at that lmao. And I'm not bothered by the thought of Eddie having a crush on her. It's clear if he did, it wasn't so much on the rising "queen of hawkins high" but rather the girl at the middle school talent show that, when he said his dad wasn't there, instead of making him feel bad about, little chrissy just went, "Wow, I wish my mom wasn't here!"

LIKE???

And even said she'd cheer for him when he played, like come on. whatever we feel about chrissy, i stand she was not a horrible person, and if she lived, probably an amazing person to see.

Fuck you, Vecna.

I do love that even when Higgins rolled up, she was like, "THAT BITCH IS LYING!" when Tommy tried to make it like Eddie was the aggressor. Because --

TOMMY H IS A BITCH THAT SHOULD GET PUNCHED OUT, WHEN WILL I SEE THAT.

But anyway.

I covered not as much, but Higgins is a bitch. Most of these adults need a slap. I so felt for Eddie, constantly being marked by his last name, by his dad. This grown man calling this 18 year old a felon even though he's never been arrested. I mean???

but can we appreciate that nothing got under his skin as bad as when Higgins essentially was like, he's a rotten apple, infecting everyone around him. Like Gareth? Like the only reason he was targeted bc he was in Hellfire?? Under EDDIE'S association???

I wanna hug him.

Let's roll back though. Since we done the Gareth and Chrissy bits.

I hate him lmao. So the new thing that came to life was, Eddie didn't live in wayne's trailer all his life, but it seems was in a constant yo-yo kinda of living between the house and wayne's trailer, especially when he was younger and Al would take off. It would make sense, as he got older, being more insistent on staying home and Wayne doing the grocery shopping( of spaghetti-o's and microwave meals! oh, wayne ) every two weeks and keeping an eye on him.

Bless anyone, again, i can't remember WHO that fancasted skeet ulrich as Al because i can so see it

Also, Eddie saying he doesnt' have said Munson Magic? False, sir. You most definitely do. We've all fallen for it, hook, line and sinker.

also, I do love the complicated mess that is their relationship. The sight of his boots sending Eddie in a whirlwind, a near panic attack at having to see him again, but also even craving his attention. The fact that Al is inviting Eddie into one of his schemes has him conflicted because, "he never came for me, he could have asked his friends, but he came to me" like... my boy. Can someone hug him?? It's very realistic to have this complicated relationship, as those that do have those types of parental relationships could attest. I def could. ( neither of my parents were felons and doing schemes but def emotionally distant so :))) )

I craved for some wayne x eddie moments, and in part, i do, though with wayne it feels like he's def holding back. it seems to be of his nature, which I can buy, tho still offering Eddie a place in his trailer if he needs it. I feel like by the end of the book, this could change, i feel a def shakeup is gonna happen with Al and Eddie as he seemed dead set against his dad in s4. do not correct me if I'm wrong as I wanna find that out myself!

I love Ronnie.

I love that Caitlin gave Eddie a childhood bestfriend, though the angst of Ronnie having a chance out of Hawkins and Eddie feeling left behind but still happy for her. At least to her face. Another aspect that feels like him, not giving her shit about it, wanting the best.

I also loved the part where young eddie thinking she was his girlfriend and the disastrous first kiss that had him running away lmaoo like god. what a little goof. I love him.

another controversial take. I ACTUALLY LOVE THAT HE ISN'T A VIRGIN.

The part where she made him feel like a person, or rather, liking him for himself was.... ouch, my precious boy. he would be so flustered around us, i swear to god

I do love that we get bits of the Hideout and Corroded Coffin.

And I'm gonna take a pause because like.... I love the set up that to get stage time, Eddie working as a barback there and like........ can we appreciate that.

Can we picture Eddie running around, hair tied up, sweating, maybe wearing a white shirt... Jeans.... Going from table to table, wiping it down...them forearms, twisting that slutty little waist for whatever reason, you're at the bar, having a drink, and he gives a smile...........

Anyway.

but all this leading to Paige. And her freckles. I love that Eddie, and even he himself calling it very Caveman like, that his mind went, freckles. I don't know of Paige's intention, but I feel for her struggles at her job, getting the dream job but still having to try and claw your way to the top and it being difficult bc not taken seriously.

She def after Eddie. I cannot blame her.

Which lead to the recent chapter where he goes to her and is like PLEASE SIGN US. Her taking a chance because she needs a big break as well.... I like that.

But I def laughed when she was like, "God, you just want to get to Dave and I thought--" we know what you thought and you so real for it, Paige. i'm just gonna chant MUNSON MAGIC okay. it is part of my vocabulary now. that is what got us all.

So far, I do like it. I feel it's a really easy read. Will I take it as canon? Idk. Maybe. Or at least take parts of it as canon, aka the things I like, which seems to be the majority of it so far. I'm not a novice at books tied to shows I watch, or movies even. I was heavily into the star wars books that turned to not be canon ( rip, mara jade skywalker ) but it doesn't take away my enjoyment of it. Enriches it, if anything. I think that's the most important thing.

oh yeah forgot to write anything down when I first got up bc I overslept..definitely had long dreams...

summary: 1. juice spilled on me 2. ants 3. my mom's house replaced with the natural museum. nature. 3. somewhat well known science & engineering youtuber william osman left his green apple watch & blue PSI meter behind somewhere & i found it

but rn i only remember thst i was wearing this one orange ling sleeve shirt thati have & somebody backed into me and spilled soda all over me right before I had to give a speech or tour of some kind.

i remembered more & came back. me & this older lady & then a young girl maybe 6 or 7 were shrunk down to walk around in the yard. i was wondering how small we were & if other small animals wouldn't think we were prey? & then the 6 year old got devoured by fire ants. it was really messy & not clean. they went like in layers. outer layers of skin, then the meat. in osme places down to bone. most weren't. she screamed for a while before blood got into her tubes & out of her organs & then she was eaten all up except for blood. pretty horrific. there were like juicy-looking & inch long fire ants infesting the next dream too.

the next part had like a antique museum in the place of my mom's house, and my sister and I had snuck in as tour guides in training maybe but we were actually there to come to heist of sometime and we're waiting for the senior tour guide to leave us alone so we can start. however even though she was like late 60s-70s, she was pretty quick on the uptake & didn't leave us alone, instead she told us that we would have to prepare a speech about this one artist's work that they kept in this cabinet as like a trial run. fortunately we had met the artist in the last dream I had, maybe not today but she was there and she was talking to us about like her work and why she did things the way she did, so that was great! her work focus on florals and insects, and she was cross stitching them or putting them on bowls? I don't know.

anyway after this, several old people were lining up to here our speech about this artist, including some of my aunts from my mom's side. don't forget there were ants everywhere. One of them was walking along the driveway when there was like a weird quadruped animal trying to drag the stick that had a huge beehive on the end of it. it was a small animal like the size of like one of those little white bitch dogs, and it ran off as we approached, but there was definitely a big ass beehive on that stick, and apparently empty of bees? I don't know, my mom picked it up and was walking around with it stuff. there were also some seeds my sister accidentally planted in the front yard and they had some kind of importance I didn't remember what that was, they grew extremely fast into trees. they had kind of a yellow and reddish glow to them and I'm going to assume that was part of the special importance of the seeds. anyway we had like a time lapse overnight of the seeds growing up to be like 15 feet tall treat little trees already. this was important for some reason.

in the next part of the dream it started off me watching science and engineering YouTuber William Osman doing a video on his channel where previously he was damaging public property mostly brick walls with like shrapnel guns?. anyway this is the follow-up to that video where I assume some government official had contacted him and told him hey you cannot be doing that dude make it right or you're going to have to pay you to fine or go to jail or something like that I don't know this is my assumption I don't actually know what happened behind the scenes based on the second video. which one is turning his holes and craters in the wall and stuff into like modern art installations? like you know when you see those things that just have fancy labels on them like dandelion growing through cracks with a little label next to it and people like haha cute. sliding these plastic things over them and then filling them with like hot metal like a bit like a cool shape? I mean I assume it's not plastic to give you that was really hot metal. and there was also like a little booklet at the top and he set up a neat thing for when the booklet slot was empty it would like tilt back into the machine and then pop back out with more booklets in it out.

anyway then after the video ended I was in that area, around the time of his like convention or whatever that he's trying to get going, will not trying because it's exceeded last year so the convention thing that you did have going except this was a hotel near it where I was also supposed to be meeting some of those old people from the second dream to discuss something or other I don't know. I was walking around and I saw that thing to go away from the video how does this booklet thing work anyway the camera angle didn't show very much in the videos I'm going to like push it into back out to see what it does, and then this green watch and like blue handheld PSI meter we're on top of the machine and I was like oh I remember seeing those on his wrist from his YouTube videos. should I like try and contact him through his giant discord server or have one of his mind contact him in case you still in the area and you can come back and get them? nah that's too much effort I will just leave it with the hotel receptionist and then drop a message in the server or something like that after I've done this meeting.

meeting with the old people was completely unremarkable. don't remember a single thing about it. as I was getting up to go the YouTuber himself was like in the lobby like yo are you the one who dropped this off? and I was like yeah that's me I'm just glad they got back to you again, I recognize them from YouTube video ,and he was like awesome thank you so much! if you want I can like sign your shirt or whatever and I was like okay sure. I was wearing some kind of dark green t-shirt that I've never owned in real life, and my only other article of clothing at the time was the really fancy shirt that I had to wear to the meeting that I immediately changed out of afterwards, so I was like yeah just I don't know sign this shirt or whatever except he couldn't find out like a way to do it somehow? at one point he like picked me up and shook me above his head like I'm in a goblin and he was trying to dump all the items out of my inventory but it didn't work. in the end I was just like you can just sign something and give it to me and I'll be like wow my memory of when I helped a kind of famous person that one time, so he signed the release form that he had to do to get his stuff back from the hotel and handed that to me okay great.

then I was trying to put that piece of paper fold it up between my laptop, but suddenly all of my laptops were weird! they could fold up really small! they had broken pieces of sticking out! and there were multiple of them that I had to sort through to be like which one is actually my laptop? why are these also small and flimsy? where's my laptop I had stickers on it and everything? in the end I found one that I think was it so I put the piece of paper between the lid and the keyboard to make it not fold up so much. I think that pretty much it, there might have been a little more but like if I find it I'll come back and edit this again. bye

you're class 2-a at this point and yes, i know that canonically neito doesn't see aizawa vs dabi clone, but... this is an au kinda...sorta...so...IM SORRY-

ALSO i made the reader's quirk a mutation quirk of sorts; basic premise is that once eye contact is made, reader takes on the physical form of who their opponent fears the most (for ex, for Dabi, reader could morph into Endeavor and even take on his quirk, but the reader can only do with it what their opponent can recall in specific detail. it only lasts while the opponent is within a certain distance, or the details get "fuzzy" and start to wear off)

he. absolutely. fucking adores you. when izuku midoriya says "i love..", you better listen closely; he's being nice enough to give you the list of who you don't mess with.

but a lot of people seem to not catch onto that. they still won't catch on, either, but it's not that they don't learn; you don't let your boyfriend teach them.

see, he'd yell at them, attack their very s o u l. he's clearly very protective, and he'll do anything to keep you safe from anyone, emotionally and physically, from a worldwide-wanted villain to a petty school villain. but you wouldn't let him.

no, you - his absolutely ray of pure sunshine - refuse to let him get into fights for you. you insist on forgiving, forgetting, and moving on, and if it weren't for the bright smile you give right before hugging his arm, he would've insisted that it's impossible for him to do that.

but for you? nothing is impossible to do if it's for you.

so yes, izuku midoriya loves his sunshine boyfriend. he loves how bright his smile is, how tight his hugs are, how much fight he has on the battlefield, etc. etc.

but most of all he loves his heart. how could someone be so... sweet? so kind and gracious and loving.

(side note, Love Like You is the song for this relationship, hands down, i'm not taking rebuttals)

he loves you. so much. and because of how much he loves you, he assumes he knows most things about you; your favorite color, dessert, dinner, breakfast, snack, candy, handwriting, your little quirks - hell, the dude even knew all the things you disliked, down to the tiniest details.

so it comes as a huge surprise when one day he just sees this side of his sunshine boy that doesn't match up with everything else.

he's seen you use your quirk. he knows how terrifying it can be, but he also knows that you don't necessarily enjoy having it. it's caused you a lot of pain, actually. for example, you used it on katsuki, and morphed into... katsuki. it fucked with his head for a long time, but it messed with yours, too...

but because of all of this, he's never seen you use it personally. it's only in battle.

except one day, some BITCH named monoma decides to be a bITCH- test your patience.

all you're trying to do is walk to class with your boyfriend, hands lightly swinging together. you're wearing your tie the way he does and he's wearing his properly for the first time, courtesy of you tying his and him tying yours.

it's early, and you hadn't really gotten much beauty rest the night before (which you owe to the great beautiful trauma™ from your quirk). izuku, too, is pretty sleepy since he snuck to your room after you texted him a jumbled mess of apologies for a nightmare you thought had actually occured irl. and all of this adds up to: monoma being extra annoying.

"ah, 'snap, crackle, pop' and the next boogie man." his voice is just scraping your eardrums, but you don't say anything about it. there's no use in giving into his teasing.

"good morning, monoma. i hope you've had a good morning." such grace, and your smile is so bright that if he wasn't a narcissistic abuser 🤬 sorry ive been all in on the gabbie hanna drama, this is a reference to her use of it, not actual narcissistic abuse, it...sUcks LMAO jerk, he would've stopped. but he is a jerk. so.

"i was, but then i was reminded of you and your class." izuku insists on continuing to walk, and you don't fight. but then- "to be honest, though, it does strike up another question for me." just keep walking... "one about you, midoriya."

that seems to strike something in you, though normally you would just walk a little faster. you pause and your muscles go all tense. still, you don't verbally respond.

"[Name]...?" midoriya notices your sudden shift in mood and his worry immediately starts building up. he barely even listens to monoma, his true attention all on you.

"is...his downfall on dear bakugou's shoulders alone?" your heart starts beating hard and your body feels cold all over. "or..." you manage to start refocusing when your boyfriend squeezes your hand. monoma has stopped walking, his voice a bit more distant. "if you'd been just a bit faster, a lot... better, do you think allmight would still be... well, allmight?"

that, you can tell, hits izuku like a truck. he stutters over his steps and chokes on his breath.

the insult, the hurt and shock in your boyfriend's eyes, the eyes you're used to looking up to that shine with fire, determination, they're... hurting.

you don't even know where it comes from, but you break your hand away as you whip around to face him.

"listen here." you don't notice your body shifting, don't realize that you teo have made eye contact and you're using your quirk without thinking. "you're going to stop talking... turn around... and leave us the fuck alone."

terror. and even thought he knows how your quirk works, he can't look away. he can't move. and he can't respond.

"did i stutter?" now his legs worked, and he uses them to stumble away. the other students in the hall couldn't seem to. their feet are rooted in the ground and they stay silent, and you have to look in a window reflective enough to see that you're dabi, melting. you hadn't been using his voice, though, apparently, likely because neito had seen this happen from inside and didn't hear him.

once realizing what you were doing, you force yourself back to your own physical form. your heart rate is starting to calm down, but you're sti red in the face with anger, so you stubbornly march back to your boyfriend's side and hug his arm.

"i-i'm sorry for that," you manage to mutter as your anger turns into both embarrassment and guilt. did he think you were a bully? just ad bad as monoma? did he think you were-?

"d-don't apolog-apologize." thinking it's fear, you look up at him hoping to read his face. much to your surprise, he's red, flustered.

"...'zuku?"

"y-yeah?"

"are you...blushing?"

"a-ah - i'm sorry, i've just never seen that side of you and it caught me off guard, but-but not in a bad way and-!!"

"no-no! izu, it's okay, don't be sorry, i'm sorry if it was overkill-!"

and you two fumble right outside your classroom, apologizing back and forth repeatedly until he blurts it out.

"i thought the way you stood up for me was-was hot!" and that has you both red in the face, not quite sure what to say next.

"...it didn't scare you?"

"i-i mean it... it looked like him, but it was you and your voice and your... it- i-" you sort of lean forward, hiding your face in his chest as the bell rings and successfully pulling him into a hug.

"i love you, 'zuku." he relaxes, hugs back, but the red wont go away.

"i-i love you, too..."

"mIDORIYA HAS THE HOTS FOR [NAME]-!"

"SHUT UP, PINKY-!"

Chance Valentine

People who still believe Chance Valentine and MC's relationship was healthy (I'm also genuinely concerned for you please seek help because honey that is a very toxic relationship)

The fact that Chance Valentine was brought back when Irving, Yoyo, and Ash are right there

The fact that Aurora's original route was abandoned for so long (I know they said they're finishing it in 2022 but it should not have taken this long)

The fact that Irving only got 3 seasons (and fucking Chance Valentine got 9)

The original MC dressing like a toddler (I'm all for badass ultra fems but come on she looks like a child)

Immortal Heart Society

Most negative opinions I have about the series can be found here, but regardless:

Alanna Mckenna.

The pacing felt super off in Cash and Alanna's routes (it got better when Emilio's route came out, as most things in the series did)

The way Cash's route got dropped right as his route was actually becoming pretty good

Rafe's route being with MMC (while I am upset that this means MMC is likely only getting 1 li, my main issue is that they showed Rafe having more chemistry with MMC which felt kind of like Lovestruck was queerbaiting us)

Kiran not having a route yet

Also some of the cgs are ugly ngl

Plus the historical inaccuracies bother me cause like you can't just say "homophobia? never knew her" and expect everyone to go along with it for the sake of your story (take it from a better series of yours that's able to incorporate these issues into the story to make it both realistic and heartwrenching)

My Siren Crush

This is an issue across the board but I tend to notice it more in this series so I'm putting it here: SPELLING CHECKS PEOPLE. SPELLING. CHECKS. (they say as they continue writing a post full of poor grammar)

MC's magic thing seems lowkey unnecessary but I'm willing to see how Lovestruck handles it

LTWT PORTLAND NIGHT TWO RECAP

(i was going to make a video update so i could just my ramblings out but tumblr didn't like that so i'm mostly just transcribing what i said in my last Attempt at a video recap here, and second i'll go through my pics and post some after i get some sleep!)

SO portland night two was..... i'm gonna say we truly won so far, okay?? the energy was just so on, like, i don't even know how else to describe it. it was a goofy, fun time without sacrificing any of the hard work or performance—like the band came out in onesies from what i'm assuming was a lost bet, there was cereal eating, a handstand, push ups, oli (with maracas??), and sun room dancing and jumping around with louis during kill my mind, fun little comments and anecdotes from louis... it was just such a great show and a great time and i'm so so thankful it went as well as it did!

(we also saw oli go run off somewhere while we were waiting in line? idk where he went but it took all of us by surprise lmao)

now let's talk louis: my man came out 20 minutes after expected in the outfit equivalent of a 'fifteen minutes late with coffee'—like the perpetually cold british man was wearing shorts in portland in march, when i, who have lived here for 9 years and never acclimated, was freezing my ass off before and after the show??—and gave me heart palpitations?? yes now i'm eagerly waiting for a tanktop thank you sir and no one better take this weirdly, but that man is truly a short king.... like he's still got a little height on me and harry was shorter than i thought too (like he's only 6 ft without heels on and he's often times wearing heels?), but still... that is my short king.

his energy was amazing; he was smiling and moving around nonstop, he was playing rock paper scissors and pointing out signs, he was looking at our section—his left side balcony—quite a lot like 2/3 of the show and his note changes? *chef's kiss* just immaculate. beautiful stunning gorgeous talented show-stopping incredible etc. etc.

aaaand from my pov, we could both see and hear well so my pictures and videos actually turned out decently for once, AND while i didn't get a big reaction for my sign—which i should've held up earlier and maybe not upside down for three minutes rip when he was paying a little more attention to our side—i did get a tiny smirk and some eye contact, AND earlier in the show i made a big hand heart for him fully not expecting to be seen, but he saw me!! he was standing directly diagonal to me and stopped bouncing around when he did, then made full eye contact, smiled, pointed and nodded right at me!! and i have witnesses to support my claims!!

usually some eye contact or whatever isn't something i get really into caring about BUT some really obnoxious people were standing behind us at the show tonight, like, complaining about people being 'in their seats' when i'm pretty sure they just sold 'assigned' seats so balcony wouldn't be oversold, and how they were going to 'talk to venue management' about it like a bunch of entitled, middle aged white women—to start! because then they kept trying to get louis' attention by constantly flipping him off and shit—constantly whacking my friend in the back of the head in the process too!—so when they were like 'omg he saw us!!' when i got my little moment... sorry but nah bitch, that shit was for me and me alone because i wasn't being rude or obnoxious, and i have witnesses so <3 sorry for you!

but yeah just, genuinely an overall amazing show. it was incredible to finally be able to see louis live and see him in such good spirits having what seemed to be such a genuinely great time and giving it his all. i feel truly so lucky i got to catch him tonight and got to take part in such a fantastic show, i honestly cannot wait to see him again and i hope he's feeling good and getting some much needed rest rn <3

mister tomlinson i truly look forward to the day we get to reminisce on this moment while i'm making merch for you in the hopeful near future

What I'm getting at here is that Bench Trio proves that muscle mass is inversely proportional to height. And that gets funnier when you apply it to everyone in the smp:

Though TBF it's also canon that he's really fckin skinny rn which makes sense cuz first he was in a war where rations probably weren't too plentiful? I headcanon that time to not have been malnourishing or anything but inconsistent enough to keep him on the skinny side. Though obviously he was pretty built back then.

After that were the pre election and mid election eras which must've been pretty dang good. He had his own farms and Nikki's bakery and just. Yknow. Lmanberg probably had pretty solid food sources. He still did a lot but I personally headcanon that he probably lost some muscle over all. Like. He was still above average for his age but yeah. He went from like 100 to 90 or however you describe it. Also. A little bit of fat

Then Pogtopia. With Technos potatofarm being the only canon food source next to shit like hunting and coupled with the stress and once again having way more physical work but like. Because of necessity? Muscles going up again and fat going down. Also, and again these are personal headcanons, I feel like while Technos potatofarm was a consistent food source, the very unbalanced diet just actually made it worse than during the revolution when they'd just have to sit out a meal sometimes.

New lmanberg times were just like fckin. One week? Two? Like he got kicked out faster Than you could blink.

And exile... Oh... Fuck.... Exile.... High stress levels, constantly having small wounds, starvation and problems with sleep. Yeah. Muscles went way down and there was no fucking fat on those sad and hollow cheeks. Bitch was probably pretty fucking sickly. If sleepwalking into the water hadn't killed him eventually I'm pretty sure his body would have just shut down on him at some point.

Then at Technos cabin. Well. He was mostly into gapples which is great because those really fucking boost your immune system and help with wounds but I don't think they got a lot of nutrients. Though he once again had a consistent food source and was working out again... Though it wasn't for very long so I'd say that there weren't a ton of muscles and he was still underweight at the end of it. All in all definitelly an improvement but still worse than even pogtopia.

And now? Uhhhh.... Well, I feel that despite it having been months he's probably still not really that good in the whole weight department though he definitely got back a lot more muscle. It's just that before prison he was dealing with mental health stuff on his own and his only actual food source is his small farm that constantly gets raided like my fridge at 2am. And after prison the mental health stuff got worse BUT with Puffy he actually has someone supporting him there and with Ranboo and Tubbo he got himself a new foodsource aka their shit. So over all. Muscles? Definitely. But man does this boy need some chub.

Also techno ain't ripped he's plump. Give the man a fucking dadbod

He eats well, is rich and sleeps a shit ton. Hes just really good at fighting, but the 1 physical fight every couple of months isn't gonna give him a shit ton of muscle.

a/n: a small chapter with the mafia turtles. blood. knives. stabbing. pain. all that good stuff. yes i'm also aware i am painfully slow and late on the first official mafia turtles chapter. i'm so mf stressed rn, sorry 🥴

"We can go all night, darlin'. When your body gives out from exhaustion and pain. When yer begging us ta kill you. When you're cryin to end yer life, we're gonna be here. And believe me, ya don't want ta get to that stage" Pulling off the bag from her face, the brute examined her features. She had been hunting them down for days, very nearly coming close in succeeding in her given task. To poison him and his brothers. But little did her gang realise that his family knew about it, knew how suspicious her actions had become and like a hawk, watched her every move. It was only a matter of time until they retaliated. Luckily for her however, the turtles was rather tired from dealing with idiots the entire day. So his energy had depleted significantly.

It was a shame really, he didn't want to ruin such a pretty face. Rules were rules though, threatening the Hamato clan was punishable by death

"I thought you don't hit a woman" She laughed weakly and Raphael shrugged, amber eyes glancing at the sharp array of weapons on the table opposite.

"I don't hit innocent women. I do to those that interfere with my business. Which would explain your predicament" His chest vibrates with chuckles but even her heart drops to the floor, knowing it wasn't an amused laugh. No, this had brought on fear and pain and he hadn't even inflicted anything yet. Still her determined attitude hadn't wavered, much to his displeasure.

"If this is foreplay, can't wait till actual sex" She cries out when the whip slap her, undoubtedly leaving a trail of blood in its wake. Her head yanks back as Raphael grabs a fistful of hair, his face in close proximity of hers.

To try keep her composture not wanting to bring any satisfaction to her enemies. But hell, it was hanging by a small fucking thread at this point.

"Any progress?" A deeper, gravelly voice cuts in and both heads look towards the door. The woman lets a small gasp as the rest of the brothers pile into the room. She knew they were tall but not this fucking tall. They were muscular but his pinky could kill a human if enough pressure was added

"Nah, she's stubborn" Raph stops, wiping the few drops of blood from his forehead. He hadn't remembered this much trouble with the other members of her clan.

"Bro! That's my favourite knife" Mikey comes forwards and snatches the steel out of his older brothers hand, grabbing his silk orange handkerchief from the breast pocket to clean the dried blood. He shook his head in disdain, eyeing the victim in the chair. It was rather amusing how many people tried to kill them and yet they always seemed to be on the receiving end of the blade.

"My vote is kill her" The youngest shrugs, very carefully wiping the edges of his tanto where her filthy blood no doubt had touched.

"As convenient as that sounds, we'll never end up getting our information if she's dead. No we need something stronger, powerful" Donnie leans back on the table, looking at the purple and blue blotches on her skin. The way her hair was matted down with blood and sweat, how she looked on the verge of passing out at any given moment. They'd bring her back alive though, she shouldn't have such a quick and painless death.

Raphael had a knack for making his prisoners suffer until they physically and mentally couldn't take anymore, testing each and every brutal limit in their weak bodies. It was only a matter of time until she spilled the dark secret.

But time was not on their side.

"Y-you bastards, I'm not saying anything!" Her voice fluctuates as she tries to keep her heartbeat normal, to keep those nerves at bay. Deep sapphire eyes analyses the struggling woman, quickly tiring of her act to remain strong and mute about the information. Placing a hand deep within his pocket, the eldest of the clan steps forwards a pensive look painted upon his features.

"For a human, I'd expect one like yourself to be withering in agony on the chair. Maybe even gone. Your pain tolerance must be exceptionally high, it'll come in great use for later. For now, you'd do well to remember we're the ones who determine whether you walk out of this building alive. I suggest you start by giving us some answers about your little workplace and your boss. You see, myself..." The eldest grabs the knife from Mikey's hand in a quick flash and plunges it straight within her thigh, unfazed at her screams and the splatter of blood.

"Well, I am not a particularly patient man"

Boku No Hero Academia Chapter 293 SPOILERS

(These children used their one collective brain cell and decided to rush head first into the arms of Death with zero fucks given)

Oh that orange hair is not a good look on Shiggy. Izuku looks adorable in anything I can't argue.

We get an adorable panel of Eri eating a cracker/cookie next Lemillion bursting forth from the ground once more. Izuku ask him how he's here rn and apparently this boy has just been chilling at Nighteye's agency, which is conveniently not to far from here. He had to of had his quirk for a while now if he was at the agency right?

Omg look at Eri!! She's so cute I literally have to point her out whenever she's on screen. I don't make the rules here, that's just how it is. And Ochako is doing her hair!!!! I'm gonna explode from the cuteness. And all that other stuff they're talking about is important to I guess.

SHE'S SO FUCKING CUTE I LITERALLY CAN NOT

They're all babies. She looks so happy to help out too. The little bounce she does when she looks back at Dadzawa for permission. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-

Mirio is asking for back up cause even he can't take on 4 NHEs by himself. So of course Bakugou, with the two holes in his abdomen, leaps in to action even tho he really shouldn't. I swear these kids are all suicidal.

I like it. It's very Katsuki Bakugou and not nearly as bad as the first two. You go, Dynamite. Man, I can't wait to see the fandom's reaction to this. How many people are gonna throw a tantrum cause its not Ground Zero? Or fucking Kacchan?

Mirio says he thinks it's funny and Dynamite says it's not meant to be funny. Mirio quotes Nighteye speech about there being laughter and you to balance out the sorrow and apologises for the absolute disrespect he just showed my son's new hero name.

Enji, sweetheart, I know your in shock about your dead son not being dead and that you're literally on death's door, but Shouto is going to fucking die if you don't move your ass. I'm not mad and I understand why you're not doing anything right now. But, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, i would sacrifice you in a heartbeat if it meant saving Shouto's life. Don't get me wrong, I like your character a lot, but you dying would be a nice end to your redemption arc if you end up saving Shouto. And at this point I honestly don't care about what happens to Dabi. He's trying to kill my son. Fuck that guy lol. Doesn't mean I don't like him tho.

Why are people defending this guy again? Cause of his trauma? Don't get me wrong, I like Dabi as much as the next guy but if his death means Shouto gets to live, I don't have a problem with that either. Dabi and Enji are in the same boat.

My boi Deku coming in clutch with Black Whip even tho he really shouldn't be to save his best friend. Dabi's gonna try to burn him too, I can feel it coming. Also Izuku is thinking about how his arms and legs don't have any strength like that's the only thing wrong with them. He'd be lucky if he can even move them when all of this is over.

"Don't put this in a Doujin" I am deceased. Cris is no longer among the living. She has ascended to the heavens. Who ever this translater is, they're doing God's work. I can't wait to see the discourse about Izuku's speech in the tags. I can already hear the "Izuku is defending Endeawhore therefore he supports abuse #canceldeku2020" posts in my head. Anyway, I like what Izu says here tho, it's very much in character for him. I also like his Froppy inspired Black Whip: Projectile Vomit Mode. Very unexpected tbh.

Izuku yells "You are not Endeavour" and Dabi responds with "No shit, Sherlock" and asks if Izuku pities him even a little bit and I wouldn't fault him for straight up saying "No" considering everything Dabi has put him and his friends through. Hell, if I was Midoriya I wouldn't even be trying to get through to him rn. A trait I strongly admire about Izuku. Dabi goes on to say he is the culmination of all of Endeavour's sins and we get a panel showing threads snapping and I don't know if it's supposed to be what's left of Izuku's mental stability or Dabi's. Or if it's an actual thread snapping. Dabi goes on to spout some bullshit about how evil will never prosper and justice will crumble now that he's shown the naive citizens of Japan who to blame, which is the heroes apparently.

Uhhh so that snapping thread I mentioned earlier is actually the carbon fibre wire Jeanist is using to keep Machia contained and like all of them just snapped like twigs. Dabi continues his speech about how chaos now reigns supreme while everyone panics about Machia. Meanwhile Deku is having a moment.

Correction, Endeavour was the one having a moment and has decided to take action despite his obvious condition called dying. He rockets his way towards Machia and bitch slaps him in the face and immediately follows that up by saying he feels numb. He totally gonna die and I'm totally gonna feel sad about it. I'm already tearing up.

FUCKING FINALLY GOD DAMNIT

I knew it was gonna work. Never doubt my gurl Creati. She's the smartest kid in class for a reason. It feels like it took forever but it was probably only a few mins. I can't wait for everything to go wrong again. Also, everyone who thinks Endeavour is either going to die or, end up with a debilitating disability, raise your hand 🙋. Mans suffering from the most severe case of heat stroke to ever stroke and is running on burnt lungs and he was impaled by Shigaraki/AFO. He's not having a fun time.

I think it's safe to say that Eri won't healing anyone after this. It looks like all her quirks energy went into giving Mirio his quirk. Meaning all these injuries that the heroes are getting won't be magically disappearing. Aizawa isn't getting his leg back, Izuku's arms are probably never gonna work again, Gran Torino is fucking dead just like Endeavour's career, and Endeavour is probably gonna fucking die too. Cause Shouto doesn't have enough trauma in his life.

Time for me to venture into the tags and see what the latest discourse is. Can't wait for everyone to call Izuku an abuser sympathiser even tho he called out Endeavour during the sports, or say that the heroes are somehow abusing Eri like Overhaul did cause she gave Mirio his quirk back even tho she clearly wanted to do it. The chaos fuels me.
