Thank you so much for waiting 🥺❤️❤️ I actually have some snippets here and there of scenarios I want to write for them, however, now that valentine's day is approaching this other idea popped up hehehe, so I might as well take advantage of it.

Also, this is a two part thing. As of now, the second part is scheduled for... you guessed it, the 14th 😂

warnings: none. fluff. a lil bit of heartbreak, but nothing too serious. more to come on the second part.

All I got to say is, this went a completely different direction than I expected. We shall see if it pays off.

part 2.

It’s rare when the faculty allows students to take control of anything outside of their studies and training.

But there were occasions they allowed it, especially in those where they’d not only prove they’re much better academically than any other institute, but also humiliate their sister school in their annual exchange event.

Which is exactly what happened last summer, an undisputable victory to remain for the years to come as the worst defeat Kyoto has ever experienced.

Taking this into consideration, the school thought it only deserving for the students to be compensated.

What the Tokyo school ended up choosing as a reward was a trip to one of the popular theme parks in Japan, but to afford such trip without having to choke the higher ups with their expenses, the students began to plan out ways to increase their budget.

Luckily for them, the money hungry Mei Mei knew exactly what to do.

Thus, preparations soon began to plan out, starting with decorations and activities that would not only incentivize students to participate, but willingly spend all their hard-earned money (plus an extra for herself.) for something enjoyable in return—all coinciding with the most awaited time of the year.

We’re talking about White Day, of course.

A date that you were naturally also excited for, simply because it was your first White Day since enrolling in jujutsu high.

You had your own motives to be eager, but your enthusiasm simply kept growing thanks to your classmate’s incessant discussion of the plans they set up with their boyfriends, or the guys they were being “courted” by.

“My boyfriend got reservations at this nice place in downtown! We’re going there as soon as our classes are done.” One would say.

“That’s so sweet! There’s this guy I’ve been talking to for a while now—we haven’t done much but I just know he likes me! I’m just hope he’ll confess his feelings today…” Another adds.

“What about you, Y/N? Set your eyes on anyone yet?”

No.

Maybe…

Oh, who are you lying, of course you did!

But you’re not sure he even noticed your presence; let alone your gift on Valentine’s Day. After all, he’s one of the most popular students in the whole school.

You’re talking about Geto Suguru, of course—what you’d consider to be your first crush, the first man that you’ve ever felt these growing feelings for; and with enough luck, maybe even your first love.

He was just… oh, so dreamy. Good looking, but most of all, charming. It’s a mystery how someone like him got along with Satoru at all! Maybe it was some kind of opposites attract type of situation?

Who knows.

Either way, you won’t deny that getting a chance of becoming Suguru’s special someone was equally wonderful, which you hoped would’ve increased with the chocolate you gave him exactly one month ago.

If fate desired so… then today, you’ll get your answer.

And whether you’ve caught someone else’s eye, as well?

You don’t try to get your hopes too high when it comes to that, since you’ve only been here for a few months—not enough time for anyone to develop feelings and pursue you, you know?

Geto was different though, since you’ve known him way before you even considered entering jujutsu high, due to him being your sister’s and Satoru’s (a childhood friend) classmate.

So yeah, you don’t expect much from anyone else this day, outside of… maybe a card here and there, or some sweets from the people that always bring something for the whole class just so they won’t feel excluded—sensei’s included.

And so, when classes begin, you keep reassuring yourself with the following statement Mei Mei’s Cupid Mail Service (or whatever it’s called, with a charge of course) begins to roll in: You were new, not that well known even with your sibling’s popularity, single, but most importantly, that most of the things sent through that service were for the popular kids—or so Hinata theorized.

A great excuse that would’ve kept your sanity intact… had no one else gotten anything.

The ones that didn’t voice their plans, that is, the single ones—and even then, those with a partner still managed to get heartfelt confessions from those daring enough.

«It’s just… well, luck! I think… Besides, don’t they always say that people in relationships are more popular than those that are single? I would never do something like that!» It’s what you tell yourself when seeing one of your classmates, who has a boyfriend, get a rose from the same Cupid Mail Service—and as seen from her rection, not from him. «Yeah… that must be it.»

But your anguish would only deepen when the day went on by and the gifts didn’t stop.

By that point, your sister had gotten a bouquet of roses, amongst some boxes of chocolate she didn’t bother to care for, unless they had come from Yuki-senpai.

Your brother was seen with a large teddy bear but given the grin on his face and the direction he was heading; it was clear this was a gift for his girlfriend.

Gojo and Geto getting gifts even on the day they’re not supposed to doesn’t surprise you anymore—in fact, every day seemed like a holiday to them, so you just ignored them.

Nanami was a heartthrob you did not expect to see flourish, since he mostly kept to himself, but there’s always something alluring about the mysterious, cool characters—you more than anyone else would know that.

However, none of these situations were to be the worst ones yet.

Not to discredit the poor guy, you appreciate him as the excellent classmate he is…

But even Ijichi got a gift!! Like, come on!!

Statistically someone must’ve sent you one thing at least! You’re not even asking to be appreciated by your beauty or anything, it could’ve been just because they thought you were funny or something! A great friend!

Yet, it was not meant to be.

And by the end of the school day, reality slowly began to sink into your mind—accepting that perhaps you were not as likeable as you once believed… and unfortunately, that is something that wouldn’t change, not even if you’d been here since the school was founded.

Not desiring to be seen crying your poor heart out when your feelings are finally pushed to the edge once the last bell rings, you decide to head straight back to the dorms after quickly gathering your utensils, curtly bidding everyone farewells and wishes for an enjoyable evening out, and heading out the classroom—just before you could hear any more of their whispers noting how you didn’t get anything.

Thinking that if you hurried enough, you’d be able to get to your room before anyone noticed the tears already sliding down your cheeks—but alas, there’s always someone in the wrong place at the wrong time, and just as you were to turn around the corner and leave the school building, Mei Mei calls you.

“Off to meet someone in your room? How indecent.” she snickers, noting your unusual adrenaline when traveling across the hallways. At least for someone she knew hadn’t gotten anything planned for the day. “Back in my day, we’d try to do it off campus. But if you want, I know a room—"

“That’s not—I’m not in the mood, Mei Mei.” You murmur, not bothering to turn around to face her while doing your best to hide a sniffle. “I have work to do.”

“I’m sure you do, Y/N.” she says, taking a step closer to you.

“If it’s to get me to spend money on your delivery system, I’m not interested.” You frown. “Why don’t you go ask Hinata? I’m sure she’ll be more than happy to spend all her allowance in things for Yuki-senpai…”

“Already done that—And I got to say, Hinata really is one of my best clients when it comes to it. After Satoru, of course.” She snickers—Gojo has become kind of her personal ATM at this point, he just made it too easy! You remain quiet. “Either way, I’m here for something else. Something relating to you, actually.”

Well, if this day wasn’t odd enough already.

“…What do you want?” you cautioned.

“I got a gift for you—from Cupid himself.”

“What?!” you gasp, sharply turning around to verify her words, dropping your books and breath hitching upon seeing the enormous size of the gift she held in her arms, and all that contained:

A basket filled with all kinds of chocolate, local and foreign, alongside an immeasurable number of roses that almost managed to hide the core: a red teddy bear holding a heart of the same color with the words love stitched onto it.

After being deprived of this attention for hours, it almost felt surreal to suddenly obtain all that you wanted—And not to brag, but this also had to be the biggest gift you’ve seen at school that day!

You genuinely didn’t believe your eyes… and yet, there was still more to come.

And all for you.

“—while the rest are to be delivered to your dorm.” Mei Mei says as a group of her… lackeys, (wait, is that her brother?) brought along more and more gifts—from plushies of your favorite characters, your favorite flowers, and jewelry… to the most surprising piece of all:

Boxes of mochi, of your favorite flavor, taro.

Whoever sent these gestures knew you in somewhat of a personal level, thus, you naturally had to ask—

“Who sent them?” you breathe, unable to hide your excitement at that point; could it be…?

“A secret admirer.” Is all that Mei Mei reveals. “Perhaps.”

“Aw, come on! I mean—you have to know, right?? You’re the one in charge of this!”

“I do… but my services don’t go beyond that.” She smiles—hinting wanting more.

But you suppose that for something as sweet as this, to keep the identity of your unknown aficionado would only be fitting. Partially.

“Could you at least give me a hint?”

Mei Mei only laughs, and you get the idea that it was because of your naivety when it comes to her methods.

And it was, in its majority.

But it was also because she couldn’t believe you didn’t know already!

Of course, this was nothing but obvious for someone who has made it as her personal mission to find dirt on just about anyone she can squeeze out a few yen from.

Especially from big targets like him.

But given the way he behaves around you, and the things he did today, just for your attention how come you hadn’t noticed that the heir of the Zen’in, Naoya…

Here's a snippet from one of Buck's and Eddie's romantically fluffy conversations included in Chapter 21.

Without ending their embrace, Buck turns around in his arms and once they’re face to face, he says, “I’m going to miss you”.

“I’m going to miss you too.” He replies then he leans in and kisses him.

It’s a long, deep and slow kiss that he hopes will remain imprinted in the front of his mind until they see each other again in more than 56 hours.

They only break it when they need to come up for air and after they do, they lean their foreheads against each other’s with their lips only millimeters apart.

“I love you!” Eddie emphatically admits.

“I love you too with every piece of me!”

“We only have 5 more days until we leave for Europe and 7 more days until we get married.”

“And I can’t wait.” Buck replies then he kisses his fiancé once more because he can. When he pulls back, he looks into Eddie’s honey brown eyes and exclaims, “Babe, since we’ll only be in the states for a few more days… I—I want us to enjoy them. I don’t want to think about anything but us getting ready to leave L.A. so we can focus on us getting married.”

He smiles and nods. “I love that idea. Let’s focus solely on our trip and leave whatever happened in the last few weeks right here in Los Angeles, CA.”

Chapter Summaries

Chapter 1 - Eddie makes a new friend while Buck receives devastating news regarding the sperm donation he made for Connor and Kameron.

Chapter 2 - Buck does a lot of research to learn more about the abnormalities found in his red blood cells and Eddie starts a new therapy journey that’s all about him and not the traumas he’s experienced.

Chapter 3 - After more than a month, Buck and Eddie finally spend time together outside of work but it doesn’t end well and they part with a lot of uncertainty regarding their places in each other’s lives.

Chapter 4 - Eddie has a few realizations about his life which causes him to consider moving back to El Paso, TX while Buck continues to be reminded of his past which causes him to take an impromptu road trip across America.

Chapter 5 - Both Buck and Eddie have difficult conversations with their parents and Buck finally learns the truth behind the reason why his mother despised him while Eddie finally tells his mother about the way she tries to control him.

Chapter 6 - More than two weeks after Buck pushed Eddie away after suggesting they needed a break; Eddie decides to try again. Eddie’s there for Buck when he’s at his worst just like Buck was there for him when he was at his worst and he won’t let Buck give up.

Chapter 7 - After Buck’s mental breakdown, Eddie has his back the same way Buck had his when he had his own breakdown more than a year ago. They share several vulnerable and emotionally intimate moments with one another and they begin to realize their small, sweet and caring gestures matter just as much if not more than any grand gesture ever could because these are the foundations of a long-lasting love relationship.

Chapter 8 - Buck, Eddie and Chris all have their own therapists and during their sessions, they reflect on their pasts while they’re in the present so they can prepare for their future together as a family.

Chapter 9 - Buck and Eddie are there for each other when Buck has to testify as a witness during the trial. But by the end of it, they’ll both realize their individual and shared traumas are going to keep resurfacing until they talk about them, deal with the fact that they’re in love with one another and face the fact that they can’t live without each other.

Chapter 10 - As Buck and Eddie finally begin to confront their past traumas, they realize how much they need each other to fill in the gaps of their memories. Additionally, the universe screams at them for what appears to be the one hundredth time so Buck can realize he doesn’t have to ‘find it’ because he already ‘made it’ and Eddie’s reminded tomorrow isn’t promised and he doesn’t have to die alone if he doesn’t want to.

Chapter 11 - A “virga” or dry thunderstorm is in the forecast but once the rain starts, the thunderstorm happening outside won’t be able to match the storm brewing inside between Buck and Eddie. It’s the universe’s final scream and when the tumultuous winds begin to blow, they’ll have one last chance to hold onto everything they’ve built over the last six years or they’ll lose it all forever.

Chapter 12 - Buck and Eddie have always shared a deep physical attraction and an emotional intimacy that’s unmatched but now that they’re in a relationship, they’re learning how to navigate the romantic intimacy they’ve been waiting for six years to explore. The love they have for each other is a once in a lifetime, soulmate, love of their lives type of love that transcends space and time.

Chapter 13 - While navigating the newness of their romantic relationship, Buck and Eddie take advantage of every moment they spend together. As their individual lives, people from their pasts, time constraints and the possibility of losing each other again make attempts to interrupt and interfere with their journey to forever, they love, care for, support and hold onto each other even tighter to withstand it all.

Chapter 14 - Buck and Eddie can see the lights at the end of the tunnels regarding the results of Buck’s Cancer Screening along with everything else they’re dealing with. But are the lights they see exits to the tunnels or are they headlights on different runaway trains that are speeding towards them in an effort to interrupt their forever?

Chapter 15 - Buck and Eddie have known they were exactly who the other one wanted in a partner since they met six years ago when they agreed to have each other’s backs. They’re in a romantic relationship, they’re both preparing to ask the other one to spend forever with them and by the end of the seventh week into their relationship, together they will plan their most important and greatest adventure for their future.

Chapter 16 - As Buck and Eddie begin to prepare for their marriage ceremony that will take place in Rome, Italy in December 2023, they start planning their first international adventure as a romantic couple. Even though Chris is still the only person they’ve told about their relationship, several people who know them have already witnessed the love they share and as the days continue, others will witness it too.

Chapter 17 - As Buck and Eddie get closer to departing Los Angeles for their international adventure, a moment in time will remind them; life is fragile, tomorrow isn’t promised and every second of everyday should be cherished because everything can change in an instant. The result of that realization will cause them to hold onto each other even more.

Chapter 18 - As Buck, Eddie and Chris prepare for family gatherings before and during the Thanksgiving holiday, the “Santa Ana Winds” start to blow and all sorts of expected and unexpected familial drama ensues.

Chapter 19 - As Buck and Eddie get closer to their wedding day, the universe begins to align everything so that some of their parent and children's relationships are strengthened while others come to an abrupt end.

Chapter 20 - With only 14 days remaining until Buck, Eddie and Chris depart Los Angeles, CA traveling to Rome, Italy, for their first family adventure, an early morning conversation about “tying up loose ends” helps Buck and Eddie realize there are still several things left unfinished on their ‘To Do’ lists. The question is will there be enough time to complete all of them?

Chapter 21 - Buck, Eddie and Chris are finalizing their ‘To Do’ Lists, double checking their itineraries and packing their suitcases in preparation for their trip to Europe so they can board their flight that departs Los Angeles, CA on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 3:25PM.

~ 11 years later ~

(Y/N) was sitting by the pool of the castle, the gorgeous weather of Dressrosa did nothing to mitigate her. Doflamingo was getting back after participating in the Summit War on Marineford. She knew about the death of Portugas D. Ace, the defeat of Whitebeard, the arrival of not only Shanks but also Blackbeard; the world was entering a new era, a new scary dangerous era as more pirates were roaming free than even before. Things had changed in those years, Doflamingo took over Dressrosa, he became the most known broker of the underworld under the nickname Joker, he welcomed Monet and Sugar into his family and, unexpectedly, got married. It happened 8 years ago, after the fall of the Riku family; the kingdom of Dressrosa had just been rebuilt to look like it did now, when Doflamingo asked (Y/N)’s hand. The man trusted her with his heart, body, and soul to death, even though he was cold and manipulating, he still had his own demons to fight, and she showed him that he was not alone, she showed him that there were good people in that hellhole called Earth. Even after their marriage, she was still actively working for him, dealing with business, and taking care of their family, as Doflamingo said one night. (Y/N) was brushing Monet’s hair while Sugar, her younger sister, was happily eating grapes. The sisters shared a special bond with her since the first day; they would follow her around and wait for her to return from her missions, going to her whenever they needed help, asking for her advice when they had doubts, seeking her comfort after a nightmare. «Your hair always looks so lovely Monet», she complimented. «You’re too kind, (Y/N)-sama», the girl blushed. Monet and Sugar were rescued by Doflamingo, he took them in after seeing the awful conditions they were living in and for that reason they pledged their loyalty to him. She clearly remembered the day she met them after Doflamingo brought them back into the ship.

~ Flashback ~

«And who are this lovely girls?», (Y/N) put on her kindest smile. «Monet and Sugar», Doflamingo replied pointing to each one. They looked scruffy, dirty, and malnourished so, being the good person she was, she immediately took them to take a bath. They followed her without any question, they watched as (Y/N) filled a big bathtub with warm water and a floral scented bubble bath, before laying down some fluffy towels and clean clothes for them. «I’m (Y/N), by the way», she broke the silence, «I hope the clothes will fit you, but don’t worry we will get you more once we reach the next island». «Thank you, (Y/N)-sama», Monet was hugging her sister close. She bent down to be at eye level with the green haired girl. «You’re welcome», she patted her head, «Now, come on, your bath is ready. I’ll be just outside so call me if you need anything, ok?». After they were all clean and dressed, she did their hair and lead them into the dining room where supper was already served. The rest of the family had just started eating, (Y/N) sat them with the other young members of the crew before taking a seat beside Doflamingo; the two girls were a bit unsure and wary of the others, but opened up seeing that they were being treated nicely. «You still have your magic touch when it comes to youngsters», Doflamingo commented while they were alone in their cabin. «I sure do», she kissed him, «After all I deal with a man-child every day of my life». «Fair enough», he chuckled, not taking her statement seriously.

~ End of flashback~

«Welcome back, Doffy», she didn’t look up from what she was doing. She felt his presence as soon as he stepped on the island. Her observation haki grew stronger, she could feel people from miles away without effort; her combat skills got better with time as well, she still wasn’t on Doflamingo or the elites’ level but if she could complete her missions without failing that was alright. «Missed me?», he kissed her. Sugar stuck her tongue out, showing her disagreement in showing love like that, hugs or a kiss on the cheek would have been better in her opinion. «A lot. Did you miss us?», she said referring to their family. «Obviously. Could you come inside after you’re done? I have something to tell you», he smiled, leaving a kiss on her cheek. Monet was patiently waiting for (Y/N) to finish braiding her hair, the golden ring on the older girl contrasting with the locks of green hair she was holding. The girl finished the braid, but looked at it, unconvinced; looking around she told the girl to wait for her as she picked up a gazania flower and added it into the girl’s braid, securing it to make sure it wouldn’t fall out. «I’m done, Monet», she declared. Monet stood up, stretching her limbs, her pale complexion looked out of place in such a sunny nation; plus, it was weird how she wasn’t melting considering her devil fruit power. «Thank you, (Y/N)-sama», she bowed. «There is no need to bow, we are family», she assured the other girl it wasn’t necessary to use such formalities with her. (Y/N) felt Doflamingo’s presence in their bedroom, the Warlord had just gotten out of the shower and was now sprawled on the couch with just his pants on staring outside the window, a bottle of his favourite liquor in hand. The golden ring was shining as the sun hit its surface. «How is my queen doing?», he asked without turning to look at her. «She’s doing great now that her king is back. Did you enjoy the war?», she walked up to his, hugging him from behind and kissing the side of his neck. Then she walked around the couch to sit beside him, nestling on his side, the feathers of his coat tickling her skin. «Very much», he chuckled. Doflamingo was so enthusiastic to have been present in such a crucial point in time. Raising his hand to bring her face closer to his, he kissed her deeply; his nightmares had completely vanished since she started sleeping by his side, his mood in general had improved as well since they became an official couple, even more after they got married; many women tried to catch his attention at social gatherings held in Dressrosa or on other islands, but Doflamingo was loyal and only had eyes for the woman that made him feel better than ever. «I got something for you», he said after breaking the kiss. (Y/N) looked at him, waiting to see what he got for her. Even though Doflamingo was a wealthy man now, he would bring her gifts just if he found one that really reminded him of her or if the object in question was as precious as his beloved; he was walking back to the castle, greeted by his subjects, when he stopped after catching the sight of a stone with a deep blue-violet hue. It was mounted on a ring, the stone was cut in a circular shape with a sort of vine made of little white diamonds and white gold curled on one side of it, the band was adorned with little white diamonds as well; he didn’t think too much and went inside to get it, once he was inside the jewellery shop he also got a pair of earring and a necklace to go with it.

Once she opened the box he handed her, (Y/N)’s jaw fell to the floor. «The jeweller said the stone they have on is one of a kind», he explained, «It’s a type of gem that can be found only on one island and it’s also very difficult to extract». Doflamingo wasn’t big on words of affection, but she never complained about it, after all everyone had their qualities and flaws. He loved her even more for that, for being able to accept every part of him without making him feel wrong nor shaming him. «You didn’t have to, Doffy», she put the box down carefully before wrapping her arms around him and kissing him all over his face, «I was thinking about taking a night for ourselves, you know, like we used to do. Going out for dinner, then coming home, taking a relaxing bath together». He took her hand in his, kissing her fingertips. «I would love to», he accepted her request. She flashed him one of her sweet smiles, those smile that made him warm on the inside and made him ask himself how he could have gotten so lucky; since he was a child, after losing his title, he worked hard to achieve his goals, his mind constantly working and calculating the next steps and moves. She remembered purchasing a dress recently that she was reserving for a very special occasion, but she couldn’t find it. «Which restaurant would you like to go to, my love?», Doflamingo asked from the couch. «We could go to your favourite one», she suggested while diving into the wardrobe. Pushing aside, looking closely, inspecting every dress, she finally found it. It was a vintage pale pink off shoulder dress, it had long puff sleeves and a bustier that kept the dress tight-fitting on the waist area while the skirt was loose to her move freely. It wasn’t a fancy dress, but she was a simple girl when it came to clothes. After taking it out a laying it down on the bed, (Y/N) looked at her husband who had taken off his glasses and was leaning his head back as he kept his eyes closed; she melted at the sight, one of the most feared men on earth looked like an ordinary man in that moment. Tip toeing to him, she took his face in her hands as he opened his eyes. She traced the scar on his left eyes before kissing it. «I love you, (Y/N)», he whispered. She rarely heard those words from him. «I love you too, Doffy, I love you more than anything», she replied before kissing his lips with passion. The married couple cuddled on the couch, music in the background, while enjoying each other company. (Y/N) was focused on listening to Doflamingo’s heartbeat, it soothed her, so whenever she felt anxious or stressed, she just needed to cuddle with her husband to make everything better. «I’m going to take a shower, care to join me?», she kissed his knuckles. «Have I ever refused?», he chuckled. Doflamingo could proudly say he had a family, a real family after all those years of suffering.

Ryosuke Yamada: SIDE B - Change

Yamada Ryosuke has been involved in various forms of expression, but there is one thing that he has cherished above all. That's the job of an actor. When he participated in his first drama “Tantei Gakuen Q” at the age of 13, he discovered the enjoyment and had been passionate [about acting] since then.

“I simply like this genre of work and this feeling of love has never changed since my first drama. With respect to acting, I have to become someone I haven’t seen or know before, and to do that, I have to think hard about who this person is and why he feels this way. However, the time [thinking about these things] is fun. The feeling is like when I just made a new friend and it is really nice to spend time with that person. I’d wonder about the kind of person he is, and the more I find out, the more interested I am. I think [the process of discovering a new character] is close to that. If this character is a historical figure, I can do research into the history and background of the person; if this character is fictional, I can make it up using my imagination.”

What comes to mind is a character in the movie "Moeyo Ken" released two years ago - Okita Souji, a genius swordsman of the Shinsengumi who is said to have died at the young age of 27. While there is a strong impression of him as someone with a tragic fate, but as played by Yamada san, who smiled innocently as he committed brutal murder without hesitation, his innocence was more intense than his fragility and was realistically portrayed.

“That movie was special. I think a big factor was that I was staying in Kyoto during the filming, so I was able to immerse myself in the real thing the whole time. When I went back to Tokyo, I was only doing group activities or recording variety shows, so there was little time to return to reality, and I felt that my sensibilities were gradually sharpened. I got so caught up in the role that it became normal for me not to drink or eat anything during that time, and I got sick... It was something I have never experienced on set before.”

The reason why he was so absorbed in his acting work was because he had tasted moments that shook him just by thinking about them.

“Just like with today’s shoot and when I was on set, there were moments when the actors, the camera operators, the lighting team, the audio team… and everyone involved were completely engaged as they worked together. It was the best feeling when I encountered these [moments] and I feel like I'm desperately trying to relive these moments again."

Because he valued his acting career, I wanted to ask him about his position as an idol. Perhaps because of this title, there are times when his acting is viewed with prejudice.

“I think it's more because I'm a Johnny's rather than being an idol, but I accept that as my destiny. There are hindrances with being a Johnny's, but on the other hand, there are things I can do because I'm a Johnny's and I think that's a huge benefit. If I don't want others to complain about me, I can only silence the discourse with my abilities. In fact, some of my senpais have done exactly that. On the contrary, it is only due to my own lack of ability that I can not do it. The idea is rather simple."

In the midst of such a conversation, he casually said, "Being an idol may be your vocation."

“Since I don’t know much about the world outside of [the entertainment industry], I won't be able to use [my skills] out there (laughs). However, since I've been an idol for a long time, I'm good at presenting what is needed [of me] in an instant. Although I also have a clear idea of what to do. However, what is asked of me is not always the same, so it is important to keep track of [the requests] and that is quite difficult. If I don't study how to present myself properly, I might not be able to do it. I've been conscious of that since I was small, so I'm good at it."

For example, during a live performance, your image is projected on the large screen at the venue.

“Basically, there are about 15 to 20 cameras installed at a live venue and the “switcher” decides when to cut one camera feed and switch to another. The other day, the switcher praised me, saying, "It's amazing that no matter what situation, no matter where the camera is faced, Yamada kun can find and look at it 100% of the time." I haven't been very conscious of this up till then, but if he said so, it must be true. Nowadays, cameras have a light that turns on when it is live, so the moment it lights up, I can find it in about a second no matter how large the venue. I want everyone at the venue to enjoy the show equally, whether they are sitting in the front row in the arena section or at the stands at the back of the dome. When [the camera] happens [to face me], I can interact through it so it can be seen by a lot of people, and I think that will be fair to everyone who has come [to the concert]. So when I think about that (including the technique), I feel that [being an idol] is my vocation."

However, he has been active since his early teens and there were times when he resisted being an idol.

“But it's work. It's amazing to know that there are people who are happy because of our hard work, right? I've thought about quitting several times in the past, but I still haven't quit, so I guess that's what I want to do after all."

He is the type who obsessively pursues things that he likes from the start. Gaming is something that exemplifies this. Among the games he’s enthusiastic about is "Apex Legends" and he reached the highest rank of Predator in February this year. Only the top 750 players in the world can attain the Predator rank. [T/N: Ignoring the 14+ hours of live streaming when he got the predator rank, he also just streamed for 9+ hours in the morning I wrote this part. Obsessive sounds apt.😅]

"Simply speaking, I find gaming fun. Especially when I’m playing with the pros, my motivation shoots up and I feel like I need to get better and I want to get better. After all, I want to do well. I want to be good at acting, I want to be good at dancing, and I want to be good at singing. Once I'm hooked, I want to taste and see the same thing all the time, so I keep doing the same things and that's not a problem. In my mind, rather than hard work, I feel like this is what happens when I pursue what I want to do.”

He started a gaming channel on YouTube called “Leo’s Playground” (Leoの游び場) two years ago, which is now a popular channel with about 860,000 subscribers. [T/N: I just checked and it’s now at 924,000 subscribers.]

“Regarding this, I am just really enjoying myself. I’m not conscious of being watched, it’s like I’m revealing my private life (laughs); it is really just a hobby. There are people who enjoy watching it, new fans are also increasing, and that’s a plus for both myself and the group, so I'm really grateful for this era. For me, I’m glad I can show my kouhai’s that there are other paths like this."

Yamada san said that since last year, there has been a big change in his approach to work. He used to think more about the group than anyone else and take the lead, but he said he's become more focused on himself.

“There was a time last year when I felt a little out of sorts. I cannot say more about that but after going through that, I thought I should take better care of myself.”

And at this time, he is turning 30.

“You may look at me like this (laughs), but isn't 30 years old a proper adult? It's the age when I have to look at myself and think about how to live. Up to now, I have been thinking about how to give back to the group through my solo activities. As a result, I have chosen not to do some jobs or things. But from this point on, I don't think I’ll make it too complicated and simply go “I’ll do it because I want to do it” or “I won’t do it because I don’t want to do it”. I think I should prioritize myself more. Of course I'll continue to do activities for the group and the fans, but it has always been a 70/30 split, where 30 were things I did for myself, so I'll try to reverse the ratio. I don't know if this choice will turn out to be good or bad, but I'm going to give it a try anyway." [T/N: About damn time.]

Turtles Catches Up With Old GMMTV: A Tale of Thousand Stars Loving Rewatch Edition

[What’s going on here? After joining Tumblr and discovering Thai BLs through KinnPorsche in 2022, I began watching GMMTV’s new offerings -- and realized that I had a lot of history to catch up on, to appreciate the more recent works that I was delving into. From tropes to BL frameworks, what we’re watching now hails from somewhere, and I’m learning about Thai BL's history through what I’m calling the Old GMMTV Challenge (OGMMTVC). Starting with recommendations from @absolutebl on their post regarding how GMMTV is correcting for its mistakes with its shows today, I’ve made an expansive list to get me through a condensed history of essential/classic/significant Thai BLs produced by GMMTV and many other BL studios. My watchlist, pasted below, lists what I’ve watched and what’s upcoming, along with the reviews I’ve written so far. Today, I write about my LOVING rewatch of one of the best BLs out there, ever, in A Tale of Thousand Stars.]

While I’ve been in the midst of a plethora of awesome new shows (Only Friends, Dangerous Romance), I’ve also been treating myself with some oldies. I just wrapped up a rewatch of Until We Meet Again, to prep for New Siwaj’s Absolute Zero that’s coming out this fall. And one of the joys that I set for myself in the course of structuring the Old GMMTV Challenge was to allow myself some loving rewatches of shows that I originally first consumed out of any chronological order, and/or out of total curiosity for the amount of space they generally take up on a daily basis on Tumblr, and/or for the amount of times that I had seen these particular shows listed as top examples of genre-defining or genre-transcending BLs. Those shows include Bad Buddy (of course), and A Tale of Thousand Stars.

Way, WAY back in the day -- November 2022, to be exact -- just a couple months into my joining Tumblr and actively blogging, I realized that this show called Moonlight Chicken was being bandied about excitedly, mostly in part because EarthMix and FirstKhao were going to be in it. I was intrigued, excited to participate in my first active Tumblr fandom from beginning to end, and I asked the Tumblr gods -- oh hey, should I watch A Tale of Thousand Stars first, to get to know Earth Pirapat and Mix Sahaphap first? And the answer was YES, so I did, and I totally loved it.

And of course, I look back at that review from almost a year ago, and I giggle, because while I picked up on a lot of the raw elements that make ATOTS great, I didn't have ANY context for why the show was transcendent vis à vis pre-existing BL tropes in the Thai BL genre, what it meant to be watching a classic Backaof Noppharnach show, what it meant for the show to be set in Northern Thailand, etc. I even wrote -- oh wow, I see why some of the elders on Tumblr are saying that there are shows way better than KinnPorsche out there (LOL, oh, hindsight). I didn't have any of that context.

Now, I do. And during my recent ATOTS rewatch, I just ATE, ATE, ATE, oh my god, I just sat and fucking ENJOYED this FABULOUS drama. I was yelling and gesturing to the screen -- oh god, WHY are you SO GOOD, YOU SHOW, YOU?! Man, oh man. It was a shit-ton of fun to start rewatching dramas that I already have nostalgia for, even if I only saw them for the first time last year.

Besides rewatching some of these important dramas back in chronological order through the OGMMTVC, I also have a mission in mind: to properly rewatch ATOTS and Bad Buddy before rewatching Our Skyy 2, which I've been wanting to do for a while. That rewatch will take place after I rewatch Bad Buddy in a couple of weeks. And I'm glad I waited until I could consume Aof's entire oeuvre, because I think his whole slate of shows -- not just ATOTS and BBS -- give us clues as to what was happening by way of Pat and Pran's relationship in OS2 before their physical separation in BBS that further explain the ATOTS and BBS universes. But more on this in a few weeks, when I get to my BBS and OS2 reviews.

Back to ATOTS. As I rewatched it -- in the context of the OGMMTVC, and what I've learned about the Thai television BL genre NOW, what were the elements of this show that stood out the most for me?

1) The striking use of flashbacks to tell a story. I know NOW shows that haven't used flashbacks as well to tell a compelling narrative -- for me, most recently, the biggest example is Double Savage (and maybe even KinnPorsche goes up there, too). Before ATOTS premiered, I think the BL that used flashbacks the BEST in its narrative was Until We Meet Again, which *needed* flashbacks to tell the entire scope of its intricate story, from past to present.

Something that I forgot about ATOTS until my rewatch was how very PACED the show was. I think I had it in my head that it was a slow-ish story, because -- again, it bucked a lot of BL trends and tropes, just like He's Coming To Me also did. No side couples. No university setting. No warring faculties and uniforms. When I first wrote about ATOTS in December 2022 -- after having watched The Eclipse as my first GMMTV BL -- I marveled at the singular storyline of Tian's life change and journey. There was a LOT we needed to know about Tian to GET where he was going, and where he wanted to go. What I didn't appreciate back then was how Aof TOLD the story.

Sure -- it could have frustrated some folks that we didn't get the truth of who was driving the car until much later in the series. But that would be missing the point of that piece of truth. Tian had blamed himself for Torfun's death the second he learned about it. It didn't *quite* matter who was driving the car -- what mattered was the self-blame he assigned himself to, and the journey he thought he needed to take to absolve himself of the guilt that he carried.

The structure was beyond sharp, and just INCREDIBLY compelling. Between UWMA and ATOTS, we have two tremendous dramas that flirted with VERY risky past-to-future infrastructures, and both succeeded exceedingly well.

2) Phupha and Tian's TERRIBLE communication. I'm serious! Oh my god, y'all. Did we appreciate back then how AWFUL they are at communicating? HA! Our Skyy 2 obviously emphasized this even more -- Tian himself accuses Phupha of not being open enough to tell Tian why Phupha won't meet Tian's parents.

But, holy shit, these two guys are such drama bastards. By episode 9, I had to write in my notes, in all caps: THESE ASSHOLES ARE SUCH AWFUL COMMUNICATORS. If one person wasn't angry at the other, and avoiding the other person, then something was off in their world. Tian's titchyness, Phupha's avoidance, played against each other like opposing magnets.

And yet: of course, we know WHY they are bad communicators. We know that Phupha grew up in a traditional, rural household -- one that likely wasn't welcoming to his inner truth as a queer man.

Tian grew up in a privileged and patriarchal household that disguised itself as a matriarchal household. Now THAT shit's confusing. What Tian was to do with his life, as assigned by his parents, supposedly came from his mom -- but it was his dad that enforced those rules. Who could Tian go to to talk about his own growing inner truth as well? Not to either of his parents, who both had designs on who *exactly* Tian should be by way of their own demands and outward-facing lives.

So these two men -- both of whom barely had any practice in expressing their inner truths, their raw feelings about themselves, their life situations, and each other -- are figuring out their emotional shit vis à vis each other, for the first time in their lives. And what we get, gloriously, is a whole bunch of damn hilarious drama that left me shaking my head and laughing a bunch. They were SO passive-aggressive with each other, I had to applaud EarthMix.

And through their bad communication came so many resolutions to each storyline -- the illegal merchants, the revelation of Torfun's death and the story behind it -- that what we ultimately got to see were life-defining moments for both Tian and Phupha of utter growth. The trade-off between those dramatic anguishes and the TRUE drama of the show itself -- was well worth it, and brilliantly done.

3) The metaphor of freedom. We know, now, that Bad Buddy was existing in the same world as ATOTS.

God, I LOVE what Aof pulled in Our Skyy 2 by way of the Nong Nao eye mask (Tian even wears the Nong Nao eye mask!) -- because in rewatching ATOTS, I would have NEVER clocked that Tian was talking about his own freedom through his OWN eye mask.

We know now that Tian and Pran, in their respective shows, were on their own paths to freedom -- both from demanding families that demanded that each of them comport to absolute idealistic images of what perfect sons DID in those family structures. Both Tian and Pran have overbearing mothers with complicit fathers who demand exacting obedience. And both Tian and Pran ultimately sought freedom from that pressure.

In episode 9, I clocked a message on Tian's tote bag -- I can't get a clear-enough screenshot of it (it's in the 3/4 segment), but the tote bag says, "what is the meaning of free?" All of ATOTS is based on Tian's journey to emotional freedom -- freedom from his parents' expectations, freedom from the guilt he carries from Torfun's death.

An interesting comparison to UWMA happens in episode 5, when Tian asks about his growing feelings towards Phupha: "I don't know if these feelings are mine or Torfun's." And, of course -- combine that with what Tian needs to reckon with at the cliff in episode 9, when Tian is struggling with figuring how who's life he's truly living. As Tian separates himself from his parents -- as Tian understands his needs vs. Torfun's needs -- what Tian's struggle ultimately comes down to is, who is he really living his life for? Torfun saved him, his parents bought him the transplant -- but what does that actually mean for the meaning that Tian brings to his own life, and to the lives of others, including Phupha?

What Tian ultimately realizes is that needs freedom from the influence of everyone and everything around him to gain clarity as to who HE truly is. That, to me, is the ultimate core message of ATOTS -- it is Tian's defining journey towards the freedom that only he himself can find, vis à vis Torfun, Phupha, and Pha Pun Dao.

But because Aof is so good at wrenching our hearts with every last bit of energy he’s got: he showed us that Tian was able to come to this conclusion, ultimately, through Phupha, and Phupha's love for Tian.

ATOTS is a wonderful coming-of-age story, but without the typical cheesiness that that structure can often bring. It's a story of individual and internal change that we know gets echoed, expanded, and transformed in Bad Buddy through Pran. I see now that ATOTS and Bad Buddy are Aof's deep studies of internal maturing, both told through queer revelations, through empathic love with a rock-solid partner, and through fights against oppressive societal and familial resistances to living one's full truth.

Way, way back when -- and thank goodness for the OGMMTVC for allowing me to dive into this -- Aof depicted queer men living their very robust truths in Gay OK Bangkok. As I wrote in my GOKB review, what happened after the premiere of GOKB is that Aof went to the BL genre to begin slowly changing it, to make the genre a true home for real queer revelation and introspection. Did he ever nail it in ATOTS. Did he ever expand it in BBS. Watching ATOTS felt like coming home, because once again (as in HCTM) -- Aof defied typical expectations of the genre to get honest about what an internal reality of being queer could really be like. And to do that in Thai television BL, with all the tropes and expectations the genre had created by the time of ATOTS's airing in 2021, was remarkable.

Hearing the theme song, seeing Pha Pun Dao and the villagers (AND THE CHILDREN! I LOVE THOSE CHILDREN!), seeing the schoolhouse, seeing Earth in his forest ranger uniform, hearing the original source of the forest ranger t-shirt joke, seeing Rang and Yod again -- man, was it ever nostalgic to rewatch ATOTS, even after having seen the guys in Our Skyy 2. This show is SUCH a classic, SUCH a must-watch of the very highest order, and the fact that it does NOT shy away from a very real and difficult emotional journey is only just a part of what makes it one of the enduring diamonds of Thai BL.

[We'll return to Pha Pun Dao in a couple weeks once I get through my Bad Buddy and Our Skyy 2 rewatches -- stay tuned!

In the meantime, my review of Lovely Writer is on deck for next week. By far this is my favorite Tee Bundit drama. For the sake of my fellow drama clowns, I am giving I Feel You Linger in the Air a shot, but the editing choices are giving me slight Step By Step-PTSD. I'm gonna keep a close eye on this one.

But Lovely Writer is Tee's anomaly, and what a fabulously genius anomaly it is. I can't wait to get into it, and if you loved it, too, and you have NOT watched the Lovely Writer special episode, PLEASE watch the special ep, as I'll be referring to it -- it has a super important conclusion that wraps up the entire series beautifully.

A heads-up that I may need to take a week's break or so in early September.... hopefully I won't, but I am moving, so while I'm ahead on a few dramas, getting pen to paper has proven difficult by way of time. 2. A headcanon you weren't sure about at first but have come to like! Ok this is hard to answer because I forget what's canon and what's intricately-woven-into-my-brain headcanon but I'll say the "Kariya was an Angel" theory! I never disliked it, but I never liked it more than the simpler explanation of "Oh he's just been around the block a couple of times, that's why he knows more than the average Reaper but still couldn't pick out Joshua as the Composer-that stuff's above his paygrade." Even now it's not "canon to me" level of headcanon, but I can see the appeal and really I appreciate anything that inspires people to look a littler closer at characters like Kariya or Uzuki. Also it's really good when played for comedy. His ass is showing up at the Angel convention, stealing as many appetizers as he can, and bouncing before anyone can point out that he got fired 30 years ago for skipping meetings to go play Tin Pin with random Wall Reapers.

3. A character that fandom has helped you appreciate It's too easy to say Coco so Beat! It's embarrassing to admit but I kinda had a bone to pick with him when I was first getting into the series for sorta "replacing Sho" in neo. I didn't think he was as interesting (and to be fair he really isn't in neo until you take his relation to Rindo's arc into consideration; he works wonderfully as a back for Rindo to hide behind even if his own story was very much concluded by the end of the first game. Then there's also his dynamic with Neku, which is very very good, but he didn't need to be a player character for that. Anyways). Beat analysis posting made me actually pay attention to him while replaying the games and realize how much I'd missed skimming over him in W2 (the poor guy's really gotta try to compete with fan darling Joshua and Sho, aka the loudest fucking man alive, for screen time). His stint as a Reaper is incredibly fascinating. I forget who, but I always distinctly remember someone talking about Beat getting prepped to try and deaden his heart and become as brutal and merciless as a Reaper is supposed to be before ultimately choosing kindness in both his siding with Neku and sparing Kariya and Uzuki in W3 and man.....yeah. He's just such a good guy. He's easily in the top 10 favs now, if not the top 5

I told you not to indulge me on this one! I still have reblogs to reply to and now I'm gonna have to add another one to our ever growing list of AUs. This is one is on you, my friend. When we, inevitably, lose our minds, I want you to go back to this moment.

Okay, so my knowledge about Big Brother is very limited because I've only watched one season like 8 years ago (don't judge me, I was after surgery and couldn't walk for a while. It's insanely addictive though, with the whole 24/7 live stream)

But in the season I watched they had 2 random tenants (the first two that entered the house) pretend they are exes. Like the secret mission was to successfully make the other 20 people believe they are exes even though they've never met. They had 10 minutes, until the next person joins them, to come up with a story. In this they only had to keep it up for 2 days but-

In my AU - Ian and Mickey have to pretend to be together. They enter the house last, together. They get 10 minutes to come up with a convincing back story. They are told they have to keep everyone convinced for a week. Even if one person goes to the big brother and tells them that they think I&M are lying about it, they whole house loses. (the whole house participates in an activity that they believe to be the real weekly mission).

So when they both realize they are from the south side of Chicago, and are gay, they know they can pull it off. They keep the rest as close to reality as possible- Ian (25) is an EMT, Mickey (27) is a tattoo artist.

In the house they are the only ones to get a double bed and obviously they are expected to sleep together.

Will they convince everyone? will they fail the secret mission? Will they actually fall in love?

As if this bitch hasn‘t spend the last years telling anyone who asked about her heritage to fuck off. She was NEVER open about how far removed she actually was from the culture, claiming to be 1/2 native (whatever that was supposed to prove) and an authority when it came to Native American business. (Dismissing reservoirs as ˋghettos and blaming native people for not getting out to seek better treatment. I‘m sure you have the screenshots.)

LO making "house's decor" as the whole reason why she can claim to be Cherokee despite her ancestors literally having nothing to do with Cherokee people. not the culture. not the Nation embracing her as one of their own. not the bond with her elders. not even her love for the community. her house decor makes her Cherokee. according to LO. this is also funny, considering that recently MO made her own post about how LO fills her house with "native" decor. she later changed this posts and MO tried to defend her, both of them looking still ignorant and racist.

LO has openly and actively refused the mere possibility of participating or engaging with her "heritage" in any other meaningful way that buying "native decor". she's white. there's nothing wrong with being white, but there's something wrong with wanting to have a POC label while dismissing and refusing to engage with the culture that actual Indigenous/Native people are trying so hard to keep alive.

“Hey Dumplings, have you seen Uravity's new accessories collection yet? I bought the Saturn set and I feel like the most adorable person in the entire universe.”

The caption accompanied the photo of him with the aforementioned set of necklace and earrings, in pink, contrasting with his black skin. Your curly hair was tied up in a poorly improvised bun, but you didn't care.

You had a somewhat well-known profile. When he first came to Japan a few years ago, it was a bit difficult to get used to everything. Culture, Language, behaviors… everything was so different! The only thing you could hold onto to maintain normalcy was hero merchandise. There was some feeling of “safety” when you wore a hero-themed outfit. Just your emotion, maybe, but being connected to some hero symbol made you feel like you could take on the whole world and win.

Uravity's merchandise was special, mostly galaxy-themed, always full of planets, stars and the signature pink of the pro hero. They were cute and well, you liked cute things.

“Miya”, as your account was known, was one more escape from all the tiring routine you established after graduating. Her job was demanding and living alone was… lonely. Creating an account on a social network to share about your passion for heroes and everyday silliness was just an idea, but it ended up flowing and you enjoyed interacting with the audience 一 even if it was very small.

But well, you didn't want it to be big. You liked to give your unfiltered opinions and a large audience meant a lot of people would come to comment negative things, and negatively enough your job and your boss, you don't need that shit anymore.

After posting the photo, you started scrolling through the feed, reading a few news stories. One of them caught your eye. A company was suing Pro Hero Dynamighty for moral damages after he shouted… inappropriate things at a journalist in a live interview. You frowned, seeing the comments criticizing #2, and decided to go watch the original video before commenting anything.

Shit.

But what daughter of a…

Of course he would curse her! How dare she?!

You didn't even give much thought to your actions as you wrote a huge piece and published it furiously. Well, it was those impulsive decisions you were always grateful for not being well known for.

一 Argh! It almost ruined my appetite. No more cell phones for today, seriously. 一 You grumbled, hanging up the phone and placing it on the dresser next to the bed, before taking out Uravity's set and putting it away. 一 What do I order for dinner?

一 Dude! This is so manly! Hey Bakubro, you have to read this!

Katsuki's look was enough for Eijiro to know that if he handed over his cell phone, the blonde would blow it up in his face.

The backlash from the interview case had completely ruined Katsuki's mood. To make matters worse, the Agency decided to remove him from his activities while the matter was resolved, putting him in a damn office. Kirishima didn't blame his friend. He often commented that Bakugou could be a little more gentle in interviews, even though the blonde hates participating in them. But this time, he understood.

Mentioning the war against All For One was practically a Taboo when interviewing any of the heroes who participated in it. But that woman was insisting, even too much. No wonder Bakugou exploded with her. But unfortunately, all people were seeing was that Dynamighty was rude, boorish, and a pro hero who yelled at "innocent women" on TV.

The public was driven by the media and the media hated Katsuki. He was always rivaled with #1, Deku, and tried to make him the opposite of the One for All user. A ridiculous thing, since both were friends, but unfortunately, many people believed.

一 Eiji! I saw what you sent me! 一 Ashido burst into the office, with an excited smile 一 Finally someone with common sense! I could kiss this girl when I see her.

一 What the hell are you talking about now, Raccoon Eyes? Better get the Shit Hair and get the hell out of here!

一 Blasty, you need to read this 一 Ashido didn't have the same sense of survival as Eijirou, but to his credit, his phone didn't get blown up 一 A hero fan profile commented on his interview! And it's supporting you, Bakubaby! Also, a lot of people have shared it and now it looks like we can finally get this damn company back.

Bakugou arched an eyebrow.

一 Send me this. And get out of my office.

一 Right, right 一 Mina nodded with a smile, fiddling with her phone and then pulling a reluctant Kirishima out of the room 一 See you later, Blasty!

With the door closed, Bakugou was finally able to enjoy the silence. The last week had been hell. He wanted to blow up that damn company for screwing him over like that. Everything was so tiring in the hero's life and he still has to deal with idiotic people who try to gain profit and fame off of him.

A notification on his phone wakes him up, and on the screen, he sees a message from Ashido:

"Se você não visualizar logo, eu estarei de volta lá!"

一 Tch, that idiot.

Bakugou unlocked the phone and opened the message. There was a link and he clicked on it and was taken to his profile.

一 Rain Cookies. What a shitty name.

He looked at the profile picture. You're cute, he had to admit. The curly hair framing the round face, the wide smile and closed eyes. He swallowed the next statement, though. He wasn't thinking you were cute, shit.

“Eu estava assistindo ao vídeo da entrevista original com Dynamighty e uau! Eu queria dizer sinceramente que ele tem todo o meu apoio. Quer dizer, garota? Você nem deveria estar neste trabalho de merda. Pessoas como você deveriam estar em uma grande lixeira, isso mesmo. Qualquer um tem acesso aos vídeos de guerra All for One, caramba. Se você quer saber mais sobre isso, procure, seu idiota. Ainda não acredito que você fez uma pergunta tão estúpida como "Qual foi o seu sentimento ao acordar e saber que um herói deu a vida para salvá-lo?" ou “Como foi morrer enquanto lutava contra o maior vilão que a Era das Peculiaridades já enfrentou?”

Você não o verá xingando em suas entrevistas ou programas infantis, ou gritando com pessoas aleatórias. Se você quer algo macio e fofo, ótimo, concentre-se em pessoas fofas e fofas. Não tente impor aos outros a imagem que você acha ideal. Dynamighty é um incrível herói profissional que salvou inúmeras vidas e derrotou mais vilões do que qualquer outro herói. Não serão vocês, seus merdas, que irão derrotá-lo. Lutou muito para chegar até aqui. Pare de ficar no caminho dele."

Oh shit.

Bakugou didn't even realize he was holding his breath as he read the huge text the girl posted. The air left slowly when he finished reading, still processing everything. Someone understood. Someone who didn't even know him personally, who wasn't part of his friends or family, was fiercely defending him on a random social network. For the first time that week, he felt his mood improve considerably.

Looking at the likes and comments, Bakugou saw that many people were sharing. He grunted when he saw that his parent company's official profile had shared it as well. It had definitely been Mitsuki, because along with the share, there was a comment: “If I see this motherfucker on the street, I'll punch her too. Thank you for looking beyond what the damn media is saying @raincookies”

He had to remind his mother that the company profile should not be confused with her personal profile. But a slight smile sprouted on his lips as he reread the comment from the blonde who was identical to him.

Clicking on his profile again, Bakugou didn't even realize what he was doing before he actually realized what he was doing. In the private chat, not caring if it was his official account, he left a message, small and simple, but that really expressed what he was feeling at that moment.

I finished reading Jedi: Battle Scars not that long ago and some parts of it really got me thinking.

I am nowhere near an expert and my information comes from the Internet, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

However, several times in Battle Scars we see Cal taking on the role of a target so the rest of the crew aren't in danger. This is something Merrin notices and takes great problem with, and it takes Cal a great effort to let this behaviour go for her.

Supposedly some effects of childhood trauma is that you're more likely to participate in dangerous and risky activities, so one could hypothetically tie this to that, as well as the fact that he already has lost 2 caregiver-figures in his life bc they were trying to protect him and is unwilling and/or feels uncapable of going through that trauma again. Even a friend.

There's also the fact that Cal and Cere struggle to see eye-to-eye in the book, something that they argue about. Cal wants to take down the Empire now, while Cere wants to build something for the future. Cal struggles to see how that helps when there might not even be a future for the Jedi. Cere struggles to see how productive it really is to put themselves in danger, but Cal is more than willing to risk his life.

This makes me think about how individuals with childhood trauma may have a hard time planning for the future. Children who grow up under conditions of constant threat are so focused on the now, and surviving right now that planning ahead and anticipating the future becomes hard, if not impossible for them.

Maybe Cal feels that because there is an ongoing threat, he cannot even fathom creating something for something that is so far away, and maybe even impossible in his eyes. It doesn't matter if there'll be no one around to see it anyway.

We also know from jfo that he struggles to trust Cere and Greez at first, and he feels hurt when he finds out Cere hasn't been entirely truthful with him. Cal has lived in a world where he has been unable to trust anyone fully for the past 5 years, so when his trust gets betrayed he reacts harshly, though not all that immaturely. He doesn't particularly want to talk to her, and gives her the cold shoulder for a while, but they both agree to put it aside for 'later'.

As well as having trust issues, a person who has experienced childhood trauma may have trouble expressing and regulating their emotions. They may either have extreme outward reactions, or internalise it. Though I may be stretching this a bit far, it does take some time for Cal to start forgiving her, and even understanding why she may have done it.

It seems to be a fairly agreed upon fact that trauma can alter the very way your brain works, and for children whose brains are still developing, it can lead to problems that last well into their adulthood if left untreated.

I feel like it's fair to say that Cal may be exhibiting some of these symptoms, whether intentionally or not from the writers' side. It can certainly help explain more reasons as to why he thinks, acts and reacts as he does.

It does, of course, not mean that it's everything behind the way he is, but it can act as a part of why. A sort of explanation that could impact him and his life. There's reason to believe that his trauma affects him, but is not necessarily the whole reason why.

Cal was so young when he went throught hat trauma, so of course it's going to impact his life. Going through any kind of trauma can alter your entire life. He's one of few who survived a genocide. He's had to live in hiding, with fear and mistrust. And it's not really over, is it? It's still incredibly dangerous to be force sensitive. The Empire still rages across the galaxy, and it will for longer yet, but at least now he's got friends and support from people he loves, and who love him back.

Straight to the big questions.

“I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.” -- Mark Twain

I'm not looking forward to the actual process of dying; whether it's painful or scary or confusing or whatever. But I already have billions of years of experience with non-existence.

“You did not exist for about 14 billion years. You exist now and when you die you will not exist again. Forever. Enjoy your existing years.” -- Ricky Gervais

What you have is that you won the lottery. There are billions of billions of billions of people who could have existed but never did. Two people, among the billions on the planet, were born and survived up to the point of meeting each other. And then the right sperm met the right egg under the right conditions and resulted in you.

Now, while you shouldn't feel guilty about the fact you got to exist, or be duped by the notion that you owe somebody for something you didn't choose, nor should you feel entitled or arrogant for something that isn't an accomplishment of your own skill or merit.

You got to exist when billions and billions of potential people did not. And you got to exist at a time of extraordinary comfort and privilege, where the majority of our really big problems have been solved, and services, tools and technologies that were unimaginable only 100, 50 or even 20 years ago, and which would be seen as witchcraft or sorcery further back than that. Billions of people lived and died at a time when you were more likely to die before the age of 2 than to live beyond the age of 60.

One of the ways you can resolve this is by truly considering the alternative. Believers describe the afterlife as being "perfect." This in itself is concerning, raising questions of why you would even want it. Anything that is perfect is unchangeable. It's perfect before you arrive and it's perfect after. You don't, and can't, affect it or improve it. You can't discover anything, you can't invent anything.

The reward in heaven isn't for the believer, it's for god. He rewards himself for his awesomeness by finding the people who want to do nothing but tell him how awesome he is for eternity.

Every trope of eternal life or immortality casts it as a curse rather than a blessing. Every vampire becomes weary, every immortal becomes jaded.

It's okay to be a little bit sad about the fact that life will end. It means you recognize how fortunate we are, how lucky we are to exist, how little time we get, and how when others die, that's it.

Xians think that this life is just the welcome mat on the front door to a palace of eternal life. They can't wait to get through the door. Many of them are rooting for Jesus to return and end it all for everyone, so they can get past the doormat into the palace.

The problem is fixating on it, because you're burning time. Just as you're a bit sad that a vacation will end. But that just means you have to make the most of it.

When there's an infinite supply of something, it doesn't become more valuable, it becomes worthless. When there's never a risk of running out of something or being without it, it loses value. It's only things that are rare, temporary or fragile that are valuable.

It seems like what you're depressed about is that you have this valuable product, Life™, and it's bothering you that one day you won't have it any more. But the reason you value it is because it's temporary and you won't always have it. If you had more of it or knew you'd never run out of it, you wouldn't value it and you wouldn't be concerned about being without it. It's not so much that you're unhappy with the quality of the product, just that it only has a limited shelf-life. If you're depressed about being without it, about inevitably losing it, in a way you've already accepted that you won't have it forever.

You have a jar of Life™ and while it's essentially bottomless, it does have a Use By sticker on it with an illegible date. At some point it's going to expire. The real question is what are you going to do with it while you have it? If you like the taste of it, eat it at every meal. If you don't, mix it with something to improve it.

I don't know if this helps you in any way. I've written before about the "myth of an afterlife," "heaven would be hell," and "fear of death" which may also be helpful.

I know you’ll probably don’t respond to this but… as a Tom fan, I’ll be very honest. I feel like the fandom isn’t being truthful and there has been a lot of dissatisfaction around him for a while but won’t say it because they don’t want to come off as antis. But I think it’s okay to have different opinions and have some critics.

as a Tom fan, it’s been so exhausting how everything about him has become his romantic relationship. it didn’t bothered me at first but now it’s unbearable. For 2 years now, he isn’t perceived as an actor, just “the boyfriend”. he only trends or makes headlines related to his relationship. Before making the relationship public, he had a whole set of opportunities. He was a movie star in the making, everyone was waiting for his next move outside of the MCU. By 2019, he was already the lead of two movies with huge box office numbers and with active participation in the Avengers. One of the most talked about movies ever. And what have we gotten ever since? TDATT was his last good movie and that’s a fact a lot of the fandom doesn’t want to admit. And that came out 4 years ago.

I feel like a lot of people on the fandom doesn’t want to admit Tom is around people that don’t push him to consider his career Post-Marvel as long as they get the benefits from his MCU checks. And most of his team aren’t really building his career with a strategy in mind. The whole “lead action hero” agenda that his team tries to push only limits him. And I also think Tom lets himself get carried away by a lot of people like the Russo Brothers. Doolittle and Onward were cute but didn’t do much for his career. And I’m sure he only did Doolittle because of RDJ. And the movie flopped.

Chaos Walking was the worst decision he could’ve made because everything about it screamed that it was going to tank. But his team wanted him to be the face of a new franchise so bad. And it’s not like it was a super obscure genre that people don’t tend to watch - it was a young adult sci-fi movie but it was so bad Lionsgate had it as a tax write off. He missed on the lead for 1917 for this movie.

Following that, he did Cherry with the Russo Brothers and that wasn’t good at all. Yes, Tom’s acting was great but the movie was hardly of quality. It shouldn’t have existed in his discography and it’s because of his dependence with the Russo brothers that he got stuck with that script. After a year of bad movies outside of the MCU, comes NWH that quickly becomes a box office success but it’s also overshadowed by his relationship and the rumored cameos. I guess it was smart that Uncharted and NWH came out close because it helped the box office but even when I thought the movie was fun, it further typecasts Tom into those type of roles and I feel it goes with his team wanting him to be the “lead action hero” instead of going for smaller things as some actors do to slowly break out from a character.

After a long time, he drops TCR and again, I think his acting was great but the series as a whole was hard to get through. It definitely got ignored by the strike since he couldn’t promote it. But then again, the only viral tweets I saw about this show were in relation to his personal life. Not once about Tom as an actor.

I’m happy he is going back into theater and maybe he finds himself inspired again with what made him love acting. But after that? Uncharted 2? The confirmation of another Spider-Man trilogy? I really hope the Paul A biopic is still in place because this could turn around his career in another direction.

And yes, I know that not everyone wants to have a critically acclaim career and at the end of the day i am not here to dictate that- i understand he doesn’t like the industry and he is allowed to take time away from that, but I’ve been saying it for years - i think his team should allow him to do silly movies or movies w great directors and assemble cast where he isn’t the lead role. he could do a secondary character in a great movie and maybe he won’t feel too pressured by that but gets to build more experiences. florence pugh was 5 minutes in oppenheimer. a lot of huge actors do small roles in movies. why can’t he do the same?

tom has become really all about his relationship while his peers that didn’t have half the accolades than him, have been able to rise into a more established career in matter of 2 years. all while their relationship not being the main focus.

I think this whole viral stuff you guys are talking about is only a problem on Twitter. I get what you're saying, but he goes viral on TikTok for many reasons, even golf lol. The most viral stuff about TCR was those scenes from ep8, so where this narrative is coming from?

I agree with what you said about his team, 🤷🏽‍♀️.

I think most fans are just tired of constantly hate and unnecessary career discussions every two weeks coming from people who don't watch his projects and are always comparing him to other dudes, when we're barely getting anything from him and he hasn't been cast in a movie in 3 years, hasn't been on a movie set for 2 years. They cannot praise these other guys without mentioning him and it's annoying.

Also, fans who say he doesn't care about critics, aren't lying to themselves, he clearly does. What actor doesn't want positive feedback? He's still campaigning for an award even tho he probably won't get nominated again (I'd love to be proven wrong, but still).

I’m working on Chapter 8 and things are getting even more interesting because at the end of Chapter 7, Buck received a subpoena to meet with Los Angeles County's ADA since he's a witness in Jonah Greenway's upcoming trial. Dr. Copeland suggested he read TK's book in preparation for the trail, so instead of him buying it, he checked it out at the library. Also, during one of their late-night conversations, Eddie told Buck he'll tell him more about his new therapist soon. Chris started thinking about asking Eddie the questions about his mother that he told him he wasn't ready to ask while they were in El Paso in chapter 5. There's already a lot happening and there's still a lot more to come. I'm super excited with how this fic is going and I can't wait to continue working on it. The unraveling of season 6 is fantastic.

Thank you for the tag, @angelcasendgame!!!!! I am not sure I will be able to work on anything very soon just because life came after me again, and turns out I'm gonna be moving over the next month or so, but I really do hope I can find time!!

None of these have names yet lol. I put the SPN ones first, but technically I've been trying to break my writer's block by returning to The Great Gatsby (It's all Nick/Gatsby btw, just realized that might not be immediately evident) with limited success. It's always come easier for me. But all of this is stuff I do actively want to work on.

Ohh I don't know who to tag. I'm sure everyone in this circle has been tagged already, and most of the people I talk to regularly enough to know about their projects have more or less left Tumblr... I do absolutely want to pass this your way though, @antique-ro-man!! (It's Wes, btw!) I also wanna tag @heyfagbutt! And then anyone else who sees this and wants to participate, I also encourage it!! I think the name is pretty explanatory? The gist of it is they go after the same guy and become pseudo-enemies but they keep bumping into each other like this and decide to work together after a while 👍 this is a really bad hook LMAO. Anyway, I'm trying to build on the idea that they work REALLY well together when they do it intentionally but fail comically when they don't.

Pretty much what it says on the tin as well. No Supernatural AU. Dean goes to a community college to get a certification to help with his work elsewhere, but Cas, a figure drawing model, catches him drawing (which Dean's been doing on and off as a hobby) and tries to get him to sign up for the arts program.

I technically only have a summary of this, and I'm not entirely sure if I will write it all out, but I do want to at least put more time into the development before I dedicate to giving up on it bc of scope lol. I just have SUCH a soft spot for fake relationship AUs. Also, I just found out that while I have FINALLY aged into independent FAFSA eligibility, I am once again tax bracketed out. Anyway, financial abuse is real and I want to project my suffering onto Dean. Also immigrant Cas, but I haven't decided where I want him to be from yet. I think this has a lot of potential for some pretty hefty character redesigns too so it's also compelling to me from that angle. I guess I could also write it for TGG, but I did initially think of it for Destiel, so.

I don't know how to explain this one very well except that I had unhelpfully written "poolboy au" in my notes and then proceeded to forget what the hell I meant. This fic was an attempt to resurrect that but ended up being a funky modern West Coast re-imagining where Gatsby can't even "make it" as much as he wants to, and Nick can't find a place to live except for a less-than-legally rented pool house. It's not meant to be a full rewrite or anything though.

Uhhh yeah, I'm keeping the details private for this one ahaha but that's just because it wasn't supposed to be a big deal and I told a friend she would see what it was when it was done...like oh god probably a month ago at this point... My original scope for this was quite small, but research for it, indecision, and a nasty case of writer's block that I've had for nearly a year now have kept development a bit slow. Hopefully, I'll finish it before the year comes to a close.

I also don't know how to explain this one well other than "after being rejected by Daisy (Canon Divergent), Gatsby attempts to buy his way into a bewildered Nick's heart. Though the fic is from Nick's POV, Gatsby's just had his worldview shattered and is in a bit of denial, but instead of pursuing Daisy harder, he channels all of that energy into Nick (though he's not really sure why he's doing it at first). I wasn't sure what to put up at the top because I absolutely don't want my code name for this public at least until it's done LMAO.
