it’s crazy to me that israeli settlers & zionists like amy schumer can spread racist propaganda like calling palestinians rapists and noah schnapp who lied about the 40 beheaded babies and hasnt apologized for it or like the everyday israeli settlers saying that all Arabs should die (while laughing) or how israeli soldiers LITERALLY torturing palestinians in the most vile way by stripping them of their clothes and physically and sexually abusing them and get no criticism for it despite being openly islamophobic, racist and a violation of human rights

but when people demand basic human rights for palestinians and call out zionists and israeli settlers for their behavior they’re branded as nazi’s and antisemitic.....without even saying/doing anything thats anti-semitic

i bet that celebrities supporting israel right now and insisting for no ceasefire, would make movie or documentary in like 10 years talking about how they were brainwashed by israeli propaganda and how they are so sorry and have educated themselves since and now they are better people.

i dont understand how they can write/act/perform/tell stories of liberation and freedom, only to support oppressive colonial forces in real life. they have continued to spread false allegations made by the Israeli government to create consent for genocide. celebrity culture and idolism needs to be dismantled. everyone who signed the letter supporting biden does not deserve their platform.

It’s incredible (/neg) to me how many celebrities (and people in general) have fallen for the pro Israel propaganda. You’d think with all the people and money celebs have access to that they’d have people trying to educate them on the actuality of the situation.

Especially when being misinformed means these people will broadcast propaganda to millions of people/fans who will eat up everything they say. Esp people whose platforms are usually ones that would seem to naturally lean toward freedom and against genocide and colonialism??

Like how many people are just hearing the one side and are so afraid of being labelled as wrong or anti semitic that they just refuse to challenge the point of view they’re fed? How can we get through to them that the state of Israel is the one in the wrong?

How can we penetrate the walls of people arming themselves with the most available information as ‘the right’ information, who will claim any point of view if it seems like the majority in an attempt to duck out of controversy?
