and TFA megop!!!!! i think it has some of the most written for it but most of it is Not for me ya know? no shade, but Optimus is almost always made into some uwu baby when he's a GREMLIN and would sell Megatron's soul for one corn chip. (also Primus and Unicron apparently don't exist in TFA which has me 👀👀👀 bc that has some interesting connotations)

Optimus manages to make peace with an alien race, keep the Allspark out of Decepticon hands, regularly kicks their asses, while also basically raising an alien child that he got surprise custody of. and that's just season 1. Sentinel had his paranoia fanned and abused by Ultra Magnus, given power he wasn't ready for, and possibly also mind fucked to make him more compliant, bc it was Sentinel's idea to go down on Arachna 9.

both Optimus and Sentinel questioned things, and once Optimus was cut at the knees and thought to be neutered they turned their sights on Sentinel and made him into exactly what they wanted.

then he got a position that he never should have in the first place. bc his paranoia is so severe, imo, he shouldn't be in a position of power like that. he would be GREAT in an advisory setting tho.

and things shouldn't have gone to shit so fast when Sentinel became Magnus unless it was already that bad and his incompetence just brought the curtain down.

Insane about the concept of relationships in the life series changing completely due to the erasure of feelings between seasons. Not in that they are no longer friends or start making new friends, no, I mean in that looking back on YOUR OWN relationships you start to see them differently because you no longer FEEL the love and care and instead just have to look at it super objectively. That thing you did out of love now looks like a stupid mistake that you’re terrified you felt like doing. That imperfect but still loving relationship now looks toxic and you’re not sure why you were even there.

It’s funny when it’s negative feelings that get erased. Oh, I hated you, but we’re good now! But the positive ones? I no longer understand why I loved you, now our relationship looks confusing and strange? That hurts. You avoid relationships after that because you’re scared of how stupid “caring” made you back then. While your ex is hurt and confused, because they didn’t really do anything wrong, all things considered it was an average death game relationship. Or, the feeling is mutual, and you both avoid each other despite the love you used to share.

Or, you both still like each other despite the feelings being mostly gone. It happens. You’ll likely not be as close, or have to rebuild that relationship slowly, but you can still get along. An interesting thing to take into account is the fact that the emotion erasure is not even. Some people lose more feelings than others, and some feelings are erased more than others. It can feel random at times, and makes relationships between seasons all the more chaotic and unpredictable. Someone might still love you because you were once married, while you only see them as an okay guy now, no longer having that love that unfortunately seems to have lingered for them.

Now, this is all my personal fanon, but it is heavily based on canon, so agree or disagree if you want, idc, I’m just driving myself mad with my own interpretations :P
