Absolutely in love with these two nerds who super swear that there's NO BAT STUFF tonight on their date, but the minute the other is out of earshot and something hinky is going on, they're both in Bat Mode and they are ON THE SAME PAGE ABOUT IT. They tease each other about it later in the story, but they both are absolutely in agreement that they are in synch about this, like there is zero drama here (I love DickBabs drama as much as the next fan, their sharp edges are part of what drew me to them in the first place, let them be awful to each other sometimes, because it just shows how deeply they're both embedded in the other's heart!), they're finding their fun by knocking out criminals together, they're having a blast, and they both are like YES THIS IS THE PERSON FOR ME BECAUSE YOU GET ME when they both abandon date night to go punch criminals BEFORE THE FOOD EVEN GETS THERE. Legends, both of them.

You could tell me the people who wrote/drew that story had never seen a single other plastic man property and instead had him explained to them once at a party and I'd believe you.

I thought the entire book was kinda eh not just the Plas story so maybe it was more whoever 'directed' the book?? Editors and whatnot? For stories about passion, they were hollow. It felt like every single thing about plas was ignored in favour of making him some larger-than-life playboy. Oh but he's actually soooooo lonely do you care 🥺 🥺 🥺. Does booster not fill that niche enough? (I did like the booster story. That one was fun).

Like that was just. A different character altogether. Even other characters in the story felt sooo out of wack. Why is Batman drunk at a party stealin his girl. Why is wonder woman literally forgetting he even exists. Why is this cafe owner playing catty and hard to get. Who acts like that.

And oooooo that fat joke made me mad. In 2024? Really? Come on. I'm on the heavier side myself and it was pretty disappointing to see.

I hate being nitpicky but the art wasnt great. The v-neck, huge diamond, and shorts? Nah not for me.

Is her nose pointed up or down. Plz decide

I DID like the part where he's forced to confront his people-pleasing attitude and learn that it's not actually bringing him happiness. That felt real. That hit. Everything around that? Well I'm gonna forget it ever happened cuz ohhhh my god that sucked. That suuuuhhuhhhcked~

For those asking, Traya Sutton and the orphanage are shown in the dossier as Red Tornado is reliving his past.

Red still has a relationship with his daughter, but the trauma of being destroyed and his identity subverted or his humanity wiped — which happens often in the comics, followed by an arduous heartwrending path to recovery that is shown to be very hard on all involved — was a lot for Kathy to go through over and over again, with no one to blame. So Tornado stepped back, to spare her.

The comic does make clear this is far from the end, and there are many paths and possibilities to reconciliation. I think it’s also okay for families to take many different shapes beyond the traditional nuclear one, and still for everyone to love one another.

What the future holds for them, we shall see…

¡La historia de Guy y Vicki Vale fue exactamente lo que esperaba!

Si a alguien le iba quedar esa historia, definitivamente iba ser a Guy jeje, y al final creo que lo balancearon bien con el lindo gesto que tuvo, ya que igual no dejo de ser el mismo. 🤭

La historia de Tornado Rojo por otro lado, me pone en conflicto porque ¿me gusto la idea?, ¿mensaje?

Pero ya en serio me sorprendió cuánto me gusto esta historia, es más me atrevería a decir que fue mi favorita.

Por otro lado... Si yo fuera Diana, estaría un poco más preocupada de que Gorila Grodd y Hiedra Venenosa se lleven tan bien 🙈

Y si bien esta historia fue graciosa, sin duda fue mi menos favorita.

Finalmente, la historia de Dick y Barbara tuvo el título menos original pero al final si me gusto jeje.

Me hizo mucha gracia que a pesar de que iban a tener una cita "normal" al final ambos llevaban sus trajes porque no pueden evitar estar al pendiente todo el tiempo 🤣

Definitivamente se entienden jeje.

En fin..., en general me gusto mucho más este especial que el del año pasado y creo que es una lectura divertida para estas fechas 🤗
