Everyone (besides the Braedens) is so annoying about Dean in 6.01. In a way, he's almost treated like some sort of exotic animal by other hunters—"the hunter who got out" is considered an impossibility in the hunting world—both from a moral perspective, and from a trauma perspective.

Bobby keeps repeating "You were out" when Dean gets mad at him and Sam for keeping Sam's resurrection a secret, and while there is obviously a loving angle in Bobby wanting Dean (someone he views as a son) to live a long life, the secret is so unapologetically cruel in the face of Dean's grief that Bobby's actions also suggest more personal motivations. This, along with Dean's demand "Good for who?" when Bobby insists he made the good choice, almost lends itself to the idea that this wasn't just about Dean. It was about something Dean symbolized for Bobby. Dean was living proof that hunters could get out, and have families, and live long lives, and this probably soothes something in Bobby as someone who lost his wife tragically right after an emotional betrayal. In "Death's Door", Bobby is implied to have had a vasectomy he never told Karen about. He was the child who ruined everything he touched according to his abusive father, and decided never to have children because of it. Bobby still grieves losing Karen, and he grieves what could have been if he hadn't let his dad get in his head. Like Bobby, Dean is also a person accused of having a corrupting touch, and Bobby is very aware of Dean's self-worth issues (2.22) and I think sees a lot of his own emotional hangups in Dean. So I think it's possible that for Bobby, seeing Dean get to be happy is something Bobby needs... for himself in a sense? While being something he wants for someone he loves, it also just... soothes something inside him, symbolically and personally.

Other characters don't react so positively to Dean as a symbol representing hunters being able to get out and overcome the tragedies that generally bring them into the life to begin with. The Campbells immediately look down on Dean for not being a hunter anymore, treating him as a greenhorn, suggesting he was never meant for the work they do (his features are too "delicate"), poking around his house like it's a zoo exhibit. Sam also joins in, mocking Dean for having golf clubs.

Samuel feigns sympathy, saying he "gets it" because Mary wanted out of the life too, but it's just a little carefully placed pathos before he launches into giving Dean the same speech Mary was likely subjected to repeatedly, telling Dean they need all hands on deck, that he has a responsibility but would rather "play golf" (which is really what shows most that Samuel has zero understanding of why Dean or his own daughter wanted normal lives).

Sam also completely switches up on Dean by the end of the episode, going from justifying keeping his resurrection a secret because Dean was happy, to saying that Dean can't be normal and should return to hunting because he's putting Lisa and Ben in danger by being with them. Of course, soulless Sam flip flops because he doesn't actually care about whether or not Dean is happy. He was going through the motions of wanting Dean to be happy because he thought it was what he should want based on his memories, and he didn't have any emotional need for his brother and therefore no reason to bother him or care that he was grieving someone who was alive. But the moment he saw Dean display the heart of a hero, rushing to try and save his neighbors when all hope was lost, he saw something that he thought would be useful—someone with a heart who might make the "rules" of how to conduct himself more clear. Dean then seemed like a useful asset.

Oooh, Tim + villains = unhappy Dick for the ask game?? 👀👀👀

hgkldjsfd okay, that one is mostly a collection of notes at this point about Nightwing having an unhappy front-row seat to various villains being Too Friendly with Robin!Tim, or hearing about it secondhand, and getting increasingly annoyed/protective about it.

Specifically inspired by reading Robin (Vol. 1) A Hero Reborn and just. Gawking incredulously at the weird, possessive way Shiva was constantly touching Tim. Like omg lady please, we get it, he’s an interesting toy you want to put your claws into, please let the 13-year-old boy have some PERSONAL SPACE 😭

But also by that instance of Ed Nygma going “NIGHTWING. Hated him since he wore PIXIE BOOTS. And ROBIN. Him I don’t hate. Okay kid, actually.”

And by the Gotham Knights issue where Tim manages to negotiate with Ivy, and she calls him ‘little sapling’ and tells him that in some ways he’s more of an adult than Batman, lol.

This draft snippet is re: Shiva, set sometime during Prodigal, I think.

“She sure is a piece of work,” Dick muttered. He absently rotated the arm she’d twisted damn near out of its socket at their first meeting. For the high trespass of walking toward her like some kind of dope, no less. He’d had good reason for being off his game, but that was no excuse for acting the part of a greenhorn - especially in front of the actual greenhorn Robin. “But hey, Bruce managed to pull the wool over her eyes.” Well enough to fool all three of them...but setting that aside. “And you got away from her unscathed, right?” Tim’s mouth twisted. “Yeah, because she didn’t take me seriously. Half the time she was more interested in petting me like some kind of cat.” Dick's head cocked. That wasn’t something the kid had mentioned before. And his tone… The few times he’d talked about Shiva, the mixed undercurrents of apprehension and anger had never been far beneath the surface of Tim’s voice. Now was no different. Dick swiveled the big chair around fully and made an exaggerated show of running his eyes over Tim, masking the real consideration behind the look. Tim’s brow was furrowed and - he wasn’t even looking at Dick, staring down at his shoes instead. One hand was rubbing his opposite shoulder, as if he was working out a knot. Or…chasing away the memory of another touch? The sting of Dick’s own anger was as hot and abrupt as it was patently useless. He wrestled it down. Locked it in a box. For a future meeting, maybe. “Weeeell, you are pretty small,” he said, aiming for light - and nailing it with the ease of long practice under far more strenuous conditions. “And fluffy. I can see how the mistake could be made. Have you thought about laying off the hair gel?” “Hardy-har-har, you’re hilarious,” Tim said flatly, but when he glanced up - ha - there was a little upward tug at the corner of his mouth.

The Múshveli or mousewhale is, well, an Icelandic whale with the features of a mouse. It's also a terrifying destroyer of boats, putting its feet on the gunwales and pushing down till they capsize. They'll even chase you onto land, crawling onto the beach with those little stubby feet. Speaking of little feet...

Hello, how are you doing? Can I request RoR characters react to reader following her grandparents/parents path and become a soldier? I'm curious who will support her and who will try to change her mind. How will they react to her returning after serving for a long time and what happen if she dies during her service?

-When you first announced that you were going to join the military, to become a soldier like your hero, your grandfather, had been in his youth, you received a range of different reactions.

-Many were worried for your safety, trying to forbid you from even contemplating the idea of become a soldier, even if you weren’t going into a combat zone, there was a chance you could get hurt. They would never threaten you into staying, heavens no, but they may try to guilt you, telling you how they don’t want to lose you.

            -Adam, Eve, Zerofuku, and Tesla (who didn’t want to lose anyone else important to him)

-Many were on the fence, after you gave your argument that becoming a solider would provide you with skills that you could use in the future for a different career, and the military would even pay for higher education once you finished with your time. They wanted you to succeed and you made a valid point, but at the same time, they didn’t want to see you get hurt.

            -Qin Shi Huang, Buddha, Kojiro, Beelzebub, Hermes, Loki, and Jack.

-And many were supportive of you, of your ambitions to follow in the footsteps of your grandfather. Of course, they were worried for you, anyone would be to see someone they care about going off to serve, but they were going to stand beside you and support this decision, as it was yours to make.

-Lu Bu, Thor, Zeus, Ares, Hermes, Poseidon, Hades, Raiden, Shiva, Hercules, Brunnhilde, and Odin

-No matter how long you had been gone, even if it was less than a month, they missed you, they all did, even if some didn’t say it out loud. Your letters were what kept them going, hearing about your adventures and assignments, where you were and what you have seen, you sounded happy, so they stayed strong for you.

-Upon your return after two long years away, you told none of them you were coming home, instead dropping in as a surprise to catch them all off guard and like before, their reactions were mixed but all happy to have you home.

-The ones who had screamed in shock before melting into ugly crying while hugging you, refusing to let others have a turn to welcome you home.

            -Eve, Ares, Raiden, Kojiro, Loki (but if you mention it he will deny), Hermes, and Zerofuku

-The ones who were stunned silent, seeing you there before enveloping you in a huge hug before playfully scolding you for not tell them you were coming home and shocking them like this.

            -Zeus, Hades, Hercules, Brunnhilde, Qin Shi Huang, Buddha, Jack, Adam, and Tesla

-The ones who just smile but you can see the tension leave them as they patted you on the head, welcoming you home, and commenting on how much you have grown.

            - Lu Bu, Thor, Poseidon, Shiva, and Odin, Buddha, and Beelzebub

-They all knew you were smart, having learned from them, you weren’t a greenhorn when it came to combat, especially after you decided to go into the military, several of them took it upon themselves to train you in both armed and unarmed combat so you would be better prepared, even if you weren’t going into a combat area.

-When the news came in that there was an attack on the base you were stationed in, most were ready to take up arms to come and rescue you. As reports start coming in of casualties, many of them prayed and hoped to whoever would listen to them that you were safe.

-It wasn’t until two days later when you were found in the rubble, still alive but only barely, being one of the very few survivors of the attack.

-When you arrived home, you were immediately taken by the valkyries to their medical facilities so you could get the best care possible in your recovery.

-The ones who had been against you going were the loudest when arguing with the others, saying this was what they wanted to avoid, but they were mad, not listening to those who were more levelheaded that you weren’t even in a combat area, but they too were made that a non-combat compound had been attacked.

-They stood by your side in your recovery process, watching you heal and get better. You were smiling like nothing hard happened, but those who knew the horrors of war could see that slight dimness in your eyes, you were changed, but you were alive and still with them.

-That was all that mattered to them, you were alive.

ranting/reivew the failtopia season 2 cast's canon outfits (my opinions, these just the design wore during the finale battle) starting with the greenhorne gang + mar

mar:

im confilcted on his look becuase one hand it fits his character perfectly but on the other its kinda bland that the starting outfit is the one he keeps. mar isn't really a standout guy. His whole gimmick is how bland and apathetic he is to this weird and wacky world he lives so this basic look fits him really well; it really appeals the real Mario with a role as "the everyman" or jack of all trades. I would love for him to wear the hero chef outfit as an upgrade because the base colors fit the mar's color pallet but add gold as the accent color, but it does seem too flashy for his taste, and the suit has a small tinge of overdesign.

Orion:

Orion has a similar case to his friend when comes to outfit, yes on the character side of things, it does fit well, but from a design standpoint, it doesn't really work as well, I could talk about how the color palette is bloated or the design is incohesive but THATS THE POINT it's NOT SUPPOSED to LOOK GOOD. if we're to give a rating it would just be a comically large question mark

so the heart look is actually really good with only problem being that there was a cyan palette that would work well, but the pink does stand out a lot more in contrast to the body, your eyes are gonna be draw to the mouth so the outfit being so cute aesthetic wise to contrast the uneasy feeling the mouth gives off works in her favor, the small frame kinda covers up the over design issue you might have with it

friend:

friends' final outfit is solid, with a lot of character and style. At the same time, I preferred the pink look for them. Black doesn't feel like their type of color, but that's just nitpicking. the outfit is more priest than a cleric, but it fits with the friend's somewhat mysterious nature. "zone replacing Lee as the additional character on friend's face is something that mostly down to preface; it was one of friend's main selling points as a character but both work in there own way with zone being more separate and in line with the outfit but lee fits more with friends when it comes to symmetry.

A/N: this is pure fictional, I have no knowledge of the military and I know this is all not possible in real life, it’s all for the sake of the story; this is the background story, bare with me

Here you were, at 32, achieved the unachievable missions, your nickname became a name with a ring to it, but you didn’t know who you were anymore, everything had changed. 

You ended up in the Special Operations Regiment after enlisting as a medic and graduating top of your class in your commando training. Soon after graduating you were sent on tours to Africa, Afghanistan and some undisclosed locations. After supporting a special forces team during a mission you got the chance to join them during training back home as one of the operators noticed your skills, both tactical and with weapons and mentioned the special forces are always in need of some good operators with a medical background. As aspected from your commando training, there were guys hating the fact that you were a woman and some accepting or not caring about it - as long as you can do the job. You became thick skinned at the hard competition and almost constant sexual remarks what apparently helped you becoming more focused on achieving your goals.

Even though you successfully finished special forces training, you got stuck as a para commando medic as higher ups still had problems with female operators. During one mission you couldn’t stay at the sidelines and got your team to safety. This didn’t go unnoticed by a CIA operative Nathan Burke. He got your file in his hands and was able to get you on a hostage rescue mission with an American RECON team. After the mission went smoothly, Burke kept you as one of his assets in this team, with the agreement of your CO. With them you earned your nickname ‘Ricochet’ as some of your targets got hit due to a calculated ricochet. The nickname, and the short version ‘Ric’, did help you with blending in with local support as it didn’t give away your identity and gender as it became known it was a pleasure working with you. Eventually you became a black ops operator for the CIA as your country didn’t mind lending you out. All the missions you had done went smoothly until the last one. 

You were sent to an undisclosed location to retrieve information about a terrorist attack and capture or kill the present subjects. Burke was as always somewhere around the compound in contact with you and your supporting team, mostly special operations. This time it was a new team with only greenhorns, the Yankee-team, you had made your concerns about them clear, but you hit a wall asking for an other team. As you send Yankee 4 and 5 to check the wide perimeter of the building, a hangar, they didn’t notice the place was wired. When you just to retrieved the data you needed, everything went horribly wrong. The team got discovered and a gunfight began, instead of backing you up and keeping the retrieved data safe, they ran off like little bitches saving only their own asses. 

During the gunfight you got hit multiple times in your right leg, but despite your injuries you were able to take out all the assailants. Before killing the the last one, he was able to activate the detonator and blew up the hangar. The moment it happened fear, anger and a sort of relieve rushed through your body. Fear and anger because you didn’t wanted to go down this way, being left behind and a part of you did not want to die yet, you didn’t know what life still had planned for you. And relieved because you had missed your parents so much ever since they died when you were 15, maybe you could be able to see them again.

Before losing consciousness you notified Burke that you had retrieved the needed data, so if you didn’t survive your body had to be removed for the data.

After getting discharged from the hospital, you got home to rehabilitate further, this was when the nightmares began. The images of the team leaving you and the building collapsing kept on playing over and over again in your head. You were thankful for Nate as he came over to stay with you for a week to help you adjust and start therapy for your ptsd. 

“Hey, did you call mr. booty call? Maybe you should let off some steam” Nate practically became your best friend, spending a lot of time together planning and executing missions. He probably knew you better than anyone else, even better than you knew yourself.

“Nope, he’s got a girlfriend before I left.” “Oh” “Yeah” 

And to make matters worse you got a call you needed to go to base, where notified you would be put on medical leave and not needed back anymore. The polite version of ‘thank you for your service and fuck off’. This completely devastated you and left you wondering ‘who am I now?’ Your country didn’t need you anymore, you did not have many friends, actually none, outside of the military, and you were still single. You had agreed with Axel, or mr. Booty call as Nate described him, that as long as the two of you were single you would sleep with each other, letting off steam, what you needed to do a lot ever since you joined the military. And your sister, you could not bother her with your problems as she had a family of her own.

This makes you wonder, how the hell did you end up, enlisted, in San Diego? 

Apparently someone dropped the word that you were available, healing but available. And an admiral liked it, he kept track of your career after you saved the life of his son during one of your missions.

BNHA - Villain!Mic AU : Pirate Radio

Put Your Hands Up!

100% Mic's villainous secret lair is a pirate radio station of his own construction. He has a scheduled broadcast every Friday night that has a pretty devote cult following (and its been getting more popular since he figured out how to hijack other radio frequencies to do some self-promotion and, you know, broadcast his voice to a wider audience).

His most popular show is Chatting With Heroes where he kidnaps a random hero off the street and aggressively interviews them and asks them hilarious, invasive, and very pointed questions about their work as heroes and more often then not very blatantly exposes some of the rot within Heroics Society as a whole.

He tried to have Aizawa on one or twice but the man legit gets panicky when he’s being recorded in any way and panicky Eraser rapidly becomes terrifying cryptid Eraser. And while Mic is a very open and honest host he’s really not ready to air his kinks to his adoring fans quite yet.

… at least not deliberately.

Izuku and Katsuki listen to his show every Friday night because they’re unattended kids year olds who don’t realize it’s a hostage situation. Izuku has so. many. notes about hero weaknesses.

He brings a lot of stuff to light heroes taking liberties, the gross commercializations, incidents that go unreported, and the horrible mental health crisis on the rise in the hero community.

One of the ones he grabs is greenhorn with a compulsive truth quirk who is stuck working for the HPSC. She legit has a nervous breakdown as she’s interviewed and Mic just decides ‘don’t worry your my henchwoman now.’

And she just is after that. Chatterbox mans the lair and runs the radio show while Mic is out being a public disturbance while trying to stick it to the man/seduce eraserhead. Chatterbox high key ships it and plays romantic/sexy music whenever they duke it out in the lair. And Aizawa is so done.

And the lair is the biggest eyesore in Naruhata. It is an obnoxious yellow building with a frankensteined radio tower and satellites sticking out of it. Its under the name of some American named Presentation Michael and no one has ever made the very obvious connection between mic, his pirate radio station, and this one big obnoxious building.

Except Aizawa but he’s too conflicted to turn him in. Right up until he learns that problem child number one has been a fan for years and suddenly knows too much about Aizawa’s personal life because Mic broadcasts-

The three on the right are all siblings and also of the elf species, though they also have different focuses which is why none of them are the elf class lol (also it was way early in the game so I didn't unlock it yet either)

Also for the sim people here: The bee warrior is one of the mothers of the Terrestrial trio (my sim OCs). Her last name isn't Terrestrial though, that's a fake surname that the three of them came up with for their "traveler personas" lol

Okay so one person said i should post my Miitopia Oc’s and i’m not one to deny the people what they want! I shall start with my main Mii and her love interest for now, more shall come don’t worry.

This is Celli, they go by She/They pronouns, Celli is an Alien and her job is a vampire (closest I could get to an alien lol). Celli crash landed into Miitopia not long before the Dark lord decided to start their rampage. They landed in the peaceful Easin Hills close to the town of Greenhorne, before suddenly being attacked by Butterflies. Celli ran and ran to the closest town and made their first encounter with the dark lord. (My dark lord was Matt from wii sports; but maybe i’ll change that lmao not very dramatic). Celli saw a horrific sight the faces of the towns people flying from their heads, the dark lord taunting the now eerily silent town. She could hear the wailing of a mother, distraught after seeing her child’s face ripped away. Celli couldn’t just sit there in terror, they had been running from their problems long enough. How could she ignore the desperation in the mothers eyes, begging for anyone to go save her baby. No more running, it was time to be a hero. (So in my story I’m just gonna pretend Celli was a Vampire the moment they landed but the heirloom is still a spirit inside a necklace, no job giving/swapping though.)

This is Jade, Jade goes by She/Her pronouns and is a knight/warrior. As jade was on patrol from Greenhorne castle, she was faced with more monsters then average. A goblin every now and then was never uncommon, but these were different; creatures with the features of people, aggressive and out for blood. As Jade fought through to keep the nearby Easin Hills safe she felt a voice calling out to her, though it was almost if it was deep in the back of her mind. Ever the brave and protective knight she followed her instincts without a second thought soon finding someone curled up on the ground injured from the demonic creatures she encountered before, they were quick work, soon, nothing but butterfly honey surrounded the shaking stranger.

I shall post more!! I know its a lot for a silly mii game but this was a lot of fun to write!! X3 Hope that one person enjoyed reading this!!

So, I've decided to replay Miitopia again, except every single mii will be a different Professor Layton character.

I did make a few Layton miis a while back, but I'm making them better and I'm making more.

Firstly, my hero will be Layton himself. I didn't give him a hat because I plan on making him a mage so he won't need one.

(Sorry for the ugly quality, will take nice screenshots when phone gets fixed.)

The first set of miis I need to make will be the residents of Greenhorne. I've decided on some of the roles; Rosa will be the Cheery Granny and the Lovey-Dovey Couple will be Benny and Bess.

I've actually completed Rosa already:

But I am struggling to think of characters for the other roles, so if anybody has any ideas it would really help me out.

I'm looking for a laid back male character to play the guide, a mother and her young child, a man with a sarky attitude and a character to play the dubious mayor.

They can be characters from any of the Layton games, including Mystery Room, Mystery Journey, the movie and the anime. Ideally npcs as i want the main cast in my party. Also, each character only gets one role, so if they are a Greenhorne Villager, they can't join the party.
