Day 3 prompt 3 nr 4 - vongola squad and anyone else you really wanna add

Of course, my lovely! Thank you so much for sending in this request; it took me some time to really settle down on things for some characters, but it was interesting to think about such small little tidbits for these wonderful characters! I hope you’ll enjoy what my brain came up with!

Your character has to leave the house shortly and they have very little time to prepare. What’s the one thing they will choose over others – breakfast, washing their hair, painting their nails, replying to e-mails, etc.?

TSUNA

Tsuna is used to being forced to leave the house in pretty short notice, so he’s gotten really skilled at quickly getting ready. When this happens to him, it’s a case of getting dressed and making sure he’s wearing clean underwear, getting his wallet, giving his mom a heads up that he’s going out, and then shoes and any outdoor clothes he might need.

The most important thing to him though is to ensure, beyond all else, that he has his copy of the house key with him. Even if he’s heading out with someone else who would have the house key, Tsuna needs to know that he has his own house key with him, just in case the two of them get separated, get into an argument, or the other person needs him to run back to the house for something.

He has experienced being locked out of his house in his childhood and it terrified him a little. It’s not something he wants to ever repeat because it was scary but even worse, it was so humiliating.

GOKUDERA

There’s a lot of small little things that Gokudera insists on doing before he leaves the house, even if it makes him a little late. Because the weather in Japan can get chilly, and because temperatures fluctuate pretty quickly, Gokudera likes to have layers. Not only does he have to quickly figure out a base outfit but the proper layers for it.

He also makes sure he has an extra pack of cigarettes, as a ‘just in case’ moment, along with a fresh, unused lighter. He’s been stuck without cigarettes and especially without a lighter because of people punking his lighter or it accidentally slipping out of his pocket, and he knows both things suck.

He will make sure he has the other necessary things for him to leave the house with – his keys, his phone, a hair tie,  a coin purse, etc.

He also absolutely makes sure to put on anti-perspirant and a body spray for males that he likes before he leaves the house. He’s not stupid and knows that most places are scent-free environments, so he’s careful not to put too much of either thing on and keeps the scents hie wears kind refined and understated.

YAMAMOTO

Okay, hear me out here, because this is a weird one that makes a lot of sense once you know the context.

Even if the house is completely empty, even if he hasn’t lived with anyone for years and years, Yamamoto always gives a cheerful ‘be back soon’ when he leaves the house and a grinning ‘I’m home!’ every time he comes back home.

Like I said, there could be absolutely nobody there to hear it, but it’s pretty much a force of habit at this point. During Yamamoto’s youth, he remembered his dad doing this a lot, both at home and on the job. When Tsuyoshi explains to Yamamoto the importance of doing things like that, how good it can be for your mental health and letting go of the crap from the day, so you don’t poison the household by bringing in all that shit from your day, it makes a lot of sense to Takeshi. He’s been doing both of those things pretty much shortly after he is born and it won’t stop, even if his father dies, even if he’s alone.

Takeshi will pass this tradition on to his own children, if he finds himself blessed with them.

RYOHEI

Ryohei’s someone who does get up quite early. It is really surprising for him to be running short of time prior to leaving the house, so this isn’t a choice he would make often. It’s far more likely for Ryohei to run late because he’s gotten caught up in his training, got into a fight, or encountered a slight issue on a mission.

If someone surprises him by telling him they need to leave for something really quickly, Ryohei’s got a very mundane superpower. He can get ready so damn fast. It’s really a little ridiculous. Ten minutes or less and the boy is dressed, deodorant is on, hair is combed, and he has his wallet in his pocket – everything he needs before leaving the house, pretty much.

If he can only pick one thing to do before he leaves the house though, Ryohei would have to go with deodorant any time. Putting on deodorant before going out in public should be absolutely necessary, though Ryohei could just hold this opinion because of his own super-keen sense of smell that makes him really susceptible to other’s body odors. He never wants that stinky person disrupting other’s days with their stench and it’s better safe than sorry.

LAMBO

Lambo likes to think that, if he had the choice of what to do before leaving the house, he would make sure to shower and put on decent clothes every time before going out.

The truth of the matter is he panics about having to get ready so quickly. He rushes to get ready and looks a little disheveled leaving. It’s also guaranteed he forgets at least one thing at home, even though his last act before leaving the house is always to pat himself down, pretty much, at least 81000 times to double-check that he has everything he needs.

HIBARI

In all honesty, Hibari doesn’t really rush anywhere. If, for some reason, he did need to get ready and leave in less time than it would take him to get properly ready, he’s going to be really pissed, so I pity the poor person who has made him rush like that.

While Hibari tends to buck against a lot of what society says is correct and acceptable, in some ways he’s rather staunchly traditional in his views. One of those views, and the one that impacts his day-to-day life and this question, is his views around what is and is not acceptable clothes to be seen in public in.

Hibari’s not a vain man, not in his looks, but he is a man with a lot of self-respect. To him, leaving the house in anything less than clean, neat, and proper clothes is disrespectful not only to the people who are also outside but is a huge sign of self-disrespect, like you don’t deserve to look your best.

Because of this, the absolute one thing he must do before leaving the house is that Hibari must get changed into proper clothes. The only time he allows himself to be seen in things he considers ‘unproper’ is when he’s in the hospital, healing and recuperating, or when he’s become exceptionally close to someone.

MUKURO

Mukuro doesn’t let himself be rushed out of his residence. If someone tries to force plans on him last minute, without giving him enough time to prepare himself, he just doesn’t show up. He has no time for that much added stress and people are meant to bend to his whims, not the other way around.

Because he always makes sure that he has the time necessary to prepare to leave the house (except in exceptional cases such as an enemy attack), Mukuro doesn’t really have to worry about much leaving the house. He does always make sure that he has his weapons on him and that nobody did anything stupid like leaving the water running or such…it wouldn’t be the first time someone did that and he’d like to prevent any further damages to the property.

CHROME

If Chrome is living somewhere with a locking door (i.e.: anywhere other than Kokuyo Land), she does have things she absolutely must do before she leaves. She always makes sure that all of the lights are off and the stove isn’t on.

When she finally gets out the door and locks up, it’s almost a compulsion but she has to try the doorknob out at least two or three times, putting her body weight into it at least one of those tries, just to reassure her brain that the door is indeed firmly locked and that her home will be safe.

Hibari’s wardrobe

-kyoya is all about discipline (even in his own twisted way) and that goes to his clothes too

-literally has the most restrained style among other characters: no bright colors, no prints, no accessories, his maximum in wardrobe is striped or plaid shirts

I'll go first!

I think Hibari was a shy, but easily amused kid. The type to chortle when someone slips on ice. That Schadenfreude often got him in trouble with the kids at playgrounds. So he got into his first fight when he was 5 years old, which he did lose because five kids ganged up on him at once.

But no worries! He got his revenge the next week, when he brought ice cream to share with everyone except those kids. Which, bonus headcanon! Hibari would 100% do good deeds by accident whenever he gets tunnel-vision about getting revenge on someone else.

It's been a long time since I watched Hitman Reborn, so if there are any mistakes please let me know!

Hibari Kyoya x Poetic S/O

His first impression of you was that you were a loud and bold herbivore. You seemed unafraid of him, always appearing wherever he rested and bothering him with silly poems.

Yes, silly poems. He thinks they are like that.

Hibari doesn't care about poetry or literature, and he does not even know that today is Valentine's Day (to be honest, I'm afraid he doesn't know what Valentine's Day is).

So when you come to meet him and constantly bombard him with sweet and cheesy love poems, Hibari thinks you are trying to provoke him. And he will see it as a challenge.

At least until Kusakabe explains what Valentine's Day is to him.

"Love? Huh, how boring."

"But... Not bad."

Hibari was born into a traditional Japanese family and was educated in the best, including a taste for literature. He's just not interested in them, not ignorant of them.

Then, he forgives you, lets you go, and warns you not to bother him again.

After that day, you realized that Hibari seemed to pay more attention to you. Although you couldn't tell if that attention was good or bad, perhaps it will be a good start to your pursuit of him.

Crocodile is not a morning person. She’s one for luxurious lie-ins, barring the years when it was just her and the kids and they were young enough to need supervision.

Sakazuki is a morning person. Likes the quiet of an early morning and getting his training in. He was the one getting up when Hibari was a baby and already an early riser herself.

Crocodile blames him for Hibari’s “up at the ass-crack of dawn” tendencies.

Little Late on my end but, doesn't mean i'm not going to answer! I'm assuming more separately(because that'll be easier to answer)

For Haru, I actually have more of a for fun headcanon inspired a bit by the haru-haru interviews that after the events of the series she decides that she wants to go out and learn more about the people that Tsuna will supposedly eventually work with... much to tsuna's dismay. She gets to do this though with managing to get Reborn on board for some protection(how could he not want to watch the chaos this will lead to).

It leads to some strange places, and meeting a lot of strange people, but she ends up learning a lot about the mafia, it's people and the places they live. While she does this, she also learns a bit how to fight, and also sends post cards and letters to kyoka about her little adventures.

For Hibari, hmmmm~ I'd have to say I like to think that though he understands music pitch by sound he absolutely cannot for the life of him learn how to play an instrument, and though he thinks the namimori school anthem would be lovely to play on piano he could not. So he ends up secretly envious of Gokudera's ability to play the Piano. Maybe in the future he'll actually talk to him about it instead of being annoyed by it-

Somehow I managed to get them all related

Headcanon:

Well, I really like Katekyo Hitman Reborn. I really like Byakuran, Mukuro, Hibari and Tsuna, especially Byakuran. Now, I was playing with headcanons and thought it wouldn't be unusual for many mafia families to be related to each other if they wanted to maintain "purity" of blood. I thought that if you searched your family trees, you would find members of different families, including the Vongola. So I said to myself, I want the Tri-ni-sette skies to be related and I started to see how they could.

Since we have the Sawada family tree more or less complete and I could see more or less how many generations there were, I decided to expand it a little.

Ambrogio Fabbri, later known as Giotto di Vongola, would move to Japan, taking three of his guardians with him: Luigi "G" Sorrentino, Ugetsu Asari and Carlo "Knuckle" Corazza. Alaude le Tellier would leave with them, but would eventually find his way to China where he would meet his wife, Míngxiá Wǔ, member of the ancient Wǔ clan. Damian "Daemon" Spade would stay in the mafia, becoming Secondo's Mist, and Lamberto "Lampow" Balzarini would escape to Liguria where he would marry Danila Bovino, a farmer's daughter.

Giotto would take with him Daemon and Elena Weatherington's biological daughter, Helen, who would have been no more than 4 years old at the time.

In Japan, Giotto would meet and marry Ayako Urushisako, and together they would have Yoshimune Sawada. Yoshimune Sawada would in turn marry Sakuya Uryūhara, and have twins Yoshinobu and Nobuyasu Sawada. From here the divergence of the canon begins.

Yoshinobu would marry Nogiku Kohinoki, and continue the family line until reaching Iemitsu Sawada, who would marry Nana Hitogi and they would have Tsunayoshi Sawada.

Nobuyasu Sawada (OC) would leave Japan to return to his Italian roots, because he felt it was "calling" him. He would meet and fall in love with Fiammetta Gesso, the only daughter of a landowner who was slowly becoming a mafia family. After marrying, he would adopt his wife's surname and would also have twins, Raffaello and Michele Gesso, of whom Michele, the youngest, would become the heir of the family because Raffaello would fall in love with the Sixth Chief of the Giglio Nero famiglia, Sibilla Giglio Nero and would become the father of Marcella Giglio Nero, who would give birth to Luciana "Luce" Giglio Nero, making him the great-great-grandfather of Eunice "Uni" Giglio Nero.

Michele Gesso and Iolanda Passantino would have Uriele Gesso. Uriele Gesso in turn would marry Romina Cavallone, and from their marriage Gabriele Gesso would be born. Gabriele Gesso would marry Maria Sole Scicolone, but she would turn out to be sterile, so he would look for a child in the Japanese fashion designer, Setsuka Nishikiori, who came from Namimori. Setsuka was unaware that her lover was married and a mafia member, and by the time she discovered it, she was already pregnant. In desperation, she fled to the United States with her unborn child and would change her identity to Selina Nield, giving her son two names at birth: Barnaby Nield and Byakuran Nishikiori. But despite her efforts, Gabriele would finally find her seven years later and order her murder. After that, he took custody of his son.

That's more or less what I have of the Giglio Nero and Gesso families. He has many OCs (if you can say that), but remember that there is no information on the family life of Giotto and his guardians after leaving the mafia, and asexual reproduction in humans is currently impossible so the children had to come from somewhere. From my point of view, for such a great resemblance, the boys should at least descend from the guardians.

Maybe if I get up to it, I'll do something with the families of G, Knuckles, Daemon and his daughter mentioned here, who is Mukuro and Chrome's ancestor

PS: Fon belongs to the Wǔ clan, in fact he is the younger brother of the current matriarch. The Wǔ clan is a Chinese clan of martial artists who have existed for at least a thousand years and are capable of using dying will flames. The Hibari family is a secondary branch that descends from some of them who left China for Japan, and it is not strange that every few generations some members get together.

My favorite new characters from this arc and a SWORD headcanon.

Hibari > Prince Grus > York > S-Snake > Kujaku.

Garp, Kujaku, and Grus have 100% picked up on Hibari’s little crush on Koby, and will often give her unsolicited, and very conflicting, advice on dating etiquette, much to the poor girl’s dismay. Garp’s advice to Hibari is always the same, punch Koby in the arm every time an opportunity presents itself, a fist of love if you will.

But considering how Shamal is aka flirts and hits on everything that identifies as female

How would Tsuna and his guardians react to that happening to their female partner?

This actually isn't a question I've ever had before! Thank you so much for sending it in and I hope you'll enjoy the headcanons!

We actually kind of saw how this would go down with Tsuna during the Daily Life Arc, when Shamal made some comments about Kyoko, someone Tsuna had a crush on. He'd react exactly the same throughout his teenage years with anyone he dated. That is, while nervous, panicky, a little upset, not at all sure how to react, Tsuna would definitely step in front of his partner and tell Shamal to leave them alone. I think he'd still largely react the same as an adult, though he's gotten more used to the doctor, knows Shamal is just being Shamal and wouldn't genuinely carry through with any of his flirting. He's still making sure he's right beside his partner though and if they become uncomfortable in any way, he's shutting Shamal down and getting his partner out of the situation in the best way he could.

Now, when it comes to Gokudera, I really do think that Shamal has a real weak spot for Hayato. Hayato is someone precious to Shamal, even if he verbally pretends otherwise. Actions speak a lot louder than words and Shamal is very interested in Hayato's life, worries about him, and does keep tabs on Hayato's life even as the boy grows into a man. He'd never actually do anything to harm Hayato, so in a way, I do think Shamal respects any partner Hayato does actually settle down with enough for Shamal to meet. His flirting wouldn't be as overt and not as physical as it would be with some of the other Guardians partners and it's mostly done to tease his precious student, to see Hayato get worked up. Because he will get worked up, calling Shamal a dirty old man and maybe even getting a little physically violent and definitely angry. His partner is either someone who just would've shut Shamal down anyway or is laid-back enough to realize the flirting was harmless and teasing and would both laugh it off and help Shamal out by defusing Hayato's ever-present temper just a little.

Honestly, this probably wouldn't bother Yamamoto too much. Not only is he a pretty laid-back, chill kind of person but he really does accept people for who they are. And that includes Shamal and his many quirks and his habit of needing to flirt and 'pick up' those women he considers attractive. In some way, yeah, it's kind of an ego boost for Yamamoto that his partner is so hot that other men really are desperately trying to flirt with them. Overall though, Yamamoto is someone who would never be in a relationship with someone he didn't absolutely respect and trust, so he knows that his partner would never do anything with Shamal, no matter how much flirting and pick-up lines the other man tried. That being said, if Shamal does cross the line to a point where Yamamoto notices his partner getting uncomfortable (which he definitely will, as Yamamoto is a lot more observant than he lets on), Takeshi will have absolutely no problem just casually telling Shamal to knock it off, in probably the nicest and friendliest way. He's just like 'yeah dude, maybe tone it down a bit, you're making her feel uncomfortable' or Yamamoto manages to completely change the subject, because he really just that kind of person.

Okay, but we kind of get hints that teenage Lambo turns into a bit of a playboy type and I really think that's partially to blame on Shamal being around Lambo during his formative years. Lambo seems to be the one person genuinely interested in learning Shamal's pick-up tricks and he takes some of the doctor's lines and techniques and honestly, those are probably among the things that made Lambo's partner initially fall for him. So Shamal trying to flirt with Lambo's partner? Lambo is genuinely curious to see how his partner will react, what might make them blush, make them upset. He uses it as a bit of a learning experience, though if his partner doesn't seem at all interested in anything Shamal is selling, Lambo is celebrating and rubbing it in the other man's face. It's that 'I have surpassed your skills, you dirty old bastard' moment for Lambo, where Lambo genuinely thinks it's because of Lambo's superior flirting and hitting on people skills that makes his partner like him more than they like Shamal and not the obvious choice of Lambo is who they're in love with and attracted to. That will, of course, create a verbal spar between Lambo and Shamal and Lambo's partner is just going to have to step away from those two idiots for a little bit, though Lambo will want his partner's sympathy and comfort when he loses that verbal sparring match.

Ryohei's starting a fight. There is going to be actual physical blows thrown on Ryohei's side and Shamal tends to beat a hasty retreat when that happens. It only takes once and Shamal really learns not to hit on Ryohei's partner, even jokingly or out of force of habit, when Ryohei is within earshot.

Hey, sorry to break it to you, sorry to anyone who doesn't like this take, but if Shamal is flirting with Hibari's partner, it's pretty much goddamn certain it's because Hibari isn't with them. One, Hibari doesn't actually spend an abundance of time with any romantic partner he does take, just because he is busy and has very clear goals and ideals he's working towards in life and doesn't have a lot of free time. Two, not even Shamal fucks with Hibari. Three, even if Shamal did fuck with Hibari and knew that was Hibari's partner, and even if Hibari overheard anything, Hibari expects ANY partner he takes on to be able to handle their own shit. Any romantic partner of Hibari's needs to be able to stand up for themselves and handle their own problems and that includes the good doctor.

I really honestly don't see Mukuro and Shamal interacting much at all. Even if they do encounter each other, it's largely just in passing, not even conversations. They share Tsuna's family in common but Mukuro doesn't really attend Vongola events, still holds himself apart. Chrome goes in his place instead for the most part and the only time I see Shamal and Mukuro seeing each other is either if the Vongola is in the midst of battle or if Shamal is treating someone in Kokuyo at Reborn's request. So, if Mukuro's partner does get hit on by Shamal, it's when they're not with Mukuro and Mukuro mostly hears about it afterwards. Because the situation isn't a pressing matter, it mostly just amuses Mukuro when his partner tells him about it.

As much as I absolutely adore Shamal, he's definitely propositioned Chrome and her female partner for a little ménage-a-trois action because the only thing hotter than one pretty girl is two pretty girls. It did make Chrome angry, embarrassed her, but Chrome isn't great about speaking up and standing up for herself. So her reaction is probably largely to just grab her partner's hand and run away from him. She doesn't much care for Shamal and tries to avoid him to the best of her ability anyway.

Given that Hibari is feral to some degree at the very least, do you think he'd be fine with camping in the wilderness for some time? Do you think he'd hunt his own food?

Canonically his favourite food is Hamburger Steaks, but what other foods do you think he likes? He is weak for the traditional aesthetic, so do you think this applies to food as well? Or is his secret, guiltiest pleasure just putting on a disguise and going to fast food restaurants late at night after a long patrol?

i think he'd be fine with it, yeah, but he wouldn't necessarily like it. but he'd be able to put up with it, especially if there's something else in it he most definitely likes doing. i'm thinking of when dino trained him during the varia arc, taking him away from namimori in various natural landscapes. and if it wasn't for hibari getting to try to bite him to death to his heart's content while they were there, i do think he'd have thrown a tantrum and been difficult about needing to camp outside sooner than later lol.

and tbh generally speaking i think that's the rule of thumb with him! there's not a chance in hell he'll do something he doesn't want to do and/or dislike doing, EXCEPT if, 1) it's something he needs to do and/or can't be done by anyone else but him (like the more civilized part of the disciplinary committee work lol, or, in a way, him being the cloud's guardian LOL), and 2) it's still something he doesn't want to do and/or dislike doing, BUT. there's something fun in it for him to do too, that either evens out or outweighs the sucky part of the thing. (to use the same example again, during the varia arc, he only put up with dino acting as his tutor because he got to fight him while he did.) the CATCH tho, is that the second the fun thing does not even out the sucky thing, let alone outweigh it, all bets are fucking off. see him breaking his watch during the rainbow arc, with no regards whatsoever for fon. (he's SUCH a little shit, i love him.)

i could see him hunting his own food, yeah! idk about him going through with the kill tho. i mean, i know it's only ever said he likes little animals, but i think he has a soft spot for animals as a whole. so unless absolutely necessary (namely if he's by himself, and, you know, needs to eat and there's no other food around), i feel like he'd let that part to someone else.

that said, he most definitely enjoys hunting them and backing them into a corner. not in any malicious way, but just to asset his dominance as the apex predator in the area lol. he totally lets them go after that. and even makes sure to get back in their good graces again after that. the way he sees it, it's just a fun bonding activity that lets both of them keep their skills sharp, because of course he does, you know how he is lol.

i do think so, yeah!! he has a soft spot for traditional food and enjoys it the most, but generally speaking i feel like he just really loves warm, homemade food prepared with care and love. which is why he makes kusakabe cook his favorite meal for him haha. i also want to say that... i could see that being something he associates with an act and show of love. i mean, cooking is absolutely a love language, right? so someone cooking for him would be them caring for him, and him trusting someone to cook for him according to his tastes and eat it would be him also caring for them. (wait, this is kinda sweet actually. 🥺💖)

what other foods he likes... oh, i'm terrible at stuff like this zedfcgvh!! but, well, cold desserts, maybe? and he hasn't much of a sweet tooth, but when he craves it, it solely happens through desserts. if he likes hamburger steak most, then i guess he's a meat guy too. definitely a warm drinks guy too, tea, and maybe coffe too tyl. uhhhh, idk, snacks too? i mean, biting all those people to death on the daily and all day long would require energy, so i'm sure kusakabe makes sure he replenishes it between one beating and another lol. hibari also makes sure to have and keep a healthy diet, but in a casual way. not too casual of course, he needs and would want to keep his body in shape and at maximum capacity, but no doubt in a more casual way than ryohei or yamamoto lol.

as for fast foods, only on occasion, and the rare type of occasions, re: healthy diet and him liking homemade food. and, you know, for me it wouldn't necessarily be him being hungry after a long patrol at night. i firmly believe that in such cases, if there's even just the slightest possibility to make it happen at all, he'd rather wake kusakabe up to cook him food with absolutely no remorse whatsoever. 😭😂

he likes and respects fast foods as places and a type of restaurants tho! because you can just walk inside them alone, and sit at a table alone, and eat alone before leaving, and no one bats an eye at it or thinks anything about it, and everyone lets you be because that's literally not uncommon whatsoever. he definitely doesn't like or respect the noise and crowd as much lol, but as long as it's not too much, i could see him put up with it just to enjoy a little more his time there.

on the note of him disliking crowds, maybe like, seven out of ten, he goes for delivery. he's also that much more likely to accept a fast food invitation (yes i'm thinking of the 10th gen haha) if you tell him you'll eat it some place quiet and cozy and he's comfortable and familiar in, and where they won't be too much people. (fast food night at tsuna's place, anyone?)

so in that way i don't think it'd be a guilty pleasure of his, but instead a pretty well-known fact about him. but if i should give him a food-related guilty pleasure, i honestly think it'd be something he's allergic to. like, he's lactose intolerant or something, and he doesn't care zerdfghhg. he's still stealthy about it and hides it from everyone, but only because he's annoyed to death by the nagging. it's not like he'll die from it, so what's the big deal? he only gets a little sick, get over it. he will keep having his milk and cheese and whatnot, just watch him.
