I’ve been seeing so many points about Sebaciel, and I think my take on it is - isn’t it more interesting to look at it as a predator-prey relationship, where Ciel is literally being primed for Sebastian eating him?
Isn’t it more interesting to look at the motifs surrounding consumption. Isn’t it more interesting to consider the implications of the “loyal dog” devouring his “master” after their contractual relationship is over. I just think that a lot of Sebaciel shippers see the obviously unfair and EXTREMELY uncomfortable power dynamic (like the panic attack scene in the circus arc) and immediately jump to “wow that’s kinda hot they must be fucking” instead of thinking about the deeper implications.
I don’t know if I sound insane, and a lot of things are very clearly sexualised in the manga/anime that shouldn’t be - but I feel like from the Campania arc onwards there is very little basis to say “Sebaciel” canon, and a lot more material for “Sebastian and Ciel have such a horrifically tangled web of power dynamics and unpicking that is going to be very fun”.

TEE/IVORY The Disgraced One, her hypocrisy and her antiblackness: a post
I said I was going to make this post if @/saetoru ever showed her face on this app. And here we are now @ctrltoru-main
In January 2024, a tumblr thread exposing the now disgraced tumblr writer @/saintsugu was posted by an anonymous account named @/user-anon. User-anon exposed this man for engaging with shota art and art sexualizing ed. Other users came out and exposed more of his racially insensitive past as well as his problematic attitudes. The general public was against this behavior and it was a massive call out.
Good right? Problem solved. Let’s go home.
Not even up to 3 days later, an account known as @/criticalthoughts came out. Now this account was different, because unlike everyone condemning @/saintsugu, this person came to his defense. As of now, @/criticalthoughts has deactivated and all their inflammatory works have disappeared into the abyss. All except one.
@/saetoru - currently now @/ctrltoru-main had reblogged the first ever post of @/critcialthoughts, which I am eternally grateful for, because now that debauchery is out here for us to see. Tee, an infamous tumblr who was disgraced out of the writing community and remains a pariah, had come out of the wood works to say something in defense of Ezra.
Now, I don’t need to introduce Tee or Ivory to you people. If you read this post you would know that Tee the disgraced one, is already, to put it nicely, a terrible person. Talking about her is like beating a dead horse. Except this one has refused to die in peace and actively inserts herself into spaces she isn’t needed in.
Now, if the above post by Emmie that I linked here isn’t enough to convince you on why Ivory/Tee should not be welcomed back to any community in tumblr, then I’m sure that her shitty defense for Ezra, the response to people calling her out for her shitty defense, Tee’s antiblackness and her cult of antiblack followers as well as her lack of regard for the genocide going on in her country - all which I am about to get into, will.
Tee/Ivory defending Ezra’s accusations: A summary
Now if you’re like me and you have a short attention span for bullshit, then you won’t want to read whatever nonsense came out from Tee on that post.
But for fairness sake, I’ve decided I'll link Tee’s arguments as I break them down one by one, before I get into what I want to say. You can choose if you want to read the post and the summary or you want to read only the summary.
Paragraph 1: Victims of assault know what a predator looks like.
As a victim of assault:
She has been silenced to pretend nothing is wrong.
She has experienced rape culture first hand.
She also asserts you have to see it with your own 2 eyes to know the real harm.
She implies that she knows the patterns of sexual predators.
Paragraph 2:
Premise (a): It is simply not logical to assert that Ezra is a pedo
Art so far (depicting Shotatoru. and shotadori. Shotagetou. Come on, I’m losing creative names for these) is the only proof of this claim.
People jumped into conclusions -allegedly- because of said content, as far as taking legal actions. She asserts that there is no connection of shota art to pedophilia.
Said shotatoru art is not enough evidence for pedophilia because it is fictional.
She also asserts that majority of the people who jumped into said conclusion acted on emotional impulse
Premise 2(b): People who did accuse Ezra of being a pedophile are acting selfishly.
Asserts that they are not real victims
Asserts that they do not listen to real victims like her.
Asserts that they do not listen to authorities who work on such cases.
Asserts that they are acting in their own sense of justice.
Paragraph 4:  Dark content is dark content
Dark content portrays a lot of themes we are uncomfortable with and it is made to explore topics without harming anyone.
Dark content is not used to determine moral standing
No dark content creator is in a place to judge Ezra or draw a line on morality. Simply because they create dark content.
Tee’s concluding points:
Emotions have led people to believe that Ezra finds gratification for such content.
She talks about not knowing what pedophilia is, as we are not real victims and disrespecting real victims. Again.
Calling Ezra a pedophile is hate speech. We have zero proof to harass him - No the shotadori art is not proof- that will stand in a courtroom.
We are driving people off this app and enabling hostility. Also Ezra’s anti-blackness is just a rumor.
The important thing is art is not pedophilia and pedophilia is not art.
My Analysis;
Let me first start by being empathetic to you Tee/Ivory, even if you don’t deserve it. I will never undermine your experience as a victim. As a survivor of CSA, I know that your lines on rape culture is true and real. It’s painful that you had to go through that and I feel empathy for you.
Grace period over.
If you didn’t read my paragraph summaries, I’ll just give you the gist of Tee’s post here.
“As a real victim of child sexual assault, Tee knows what a predator looks like, therefore, according to Tee’s judgement, accusing Ezra of being a pedophile is illogical because the content he viewed was not real CP. Those who label him as such are acting out of selfishness and their claims are invalid because they are not real victims. Also, dark content is too abstract to accuse someone of anything and no dark content creator has a right to draw a line.”
Ivory/ Tee does have a point here. We did jump the gun on calling Ezra a pedo. We just judged based on art, thinking that he’s a pedo for looking at and engaging in Shota art. She makes a good point by saying that we don’t know what we are talking about.
I’m very sure if we even check or compare the definition, it won’t even mean the same thing. There is no know connections of shotacon to pedophilia, even in real life court cases.
So, let’s educate ourselves on what pedophilia is, shall we?
If we look at the English definition, it defines pedophiles as: “A person aged 16 years old or older who is mostly or only sexually attracted toward prepubescent children. (by extension, common use) An adult who is sexually attracted to or engages in sexual acts with a child…”
And if we look at the definition of Shotacon: “A sexual complex where an adult is attracted to young, typically prepubescent boys, or the fictional depictions thereof.” or “hentai anime or manga, or other Japanese-inspired erotic art featuring young, usually prepubescent boys.”
“a fictional young boy character, especially one featured in such material. Typically drawn with exaggerated or stylised cute features.”
Wait a minute.
Let’s look at Wikipedia maybe they’ll give us a different definition: “Pedophilia is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children.”
Okay, US legal: “Pedophiles are people with a sexual attraction to children. Manifest acts, such as taking sexually explicit photographs, molesting children and exposing one's genitalia to children, are all crimes.”
Okay, okay, Britannica: “Pedophilia, in conventional usage, a psychosexual disorder, generally affecting adults, characterized by sexual interest in prepubescent children or attempts to engage in sexual acts with prepubescent children.”
Oh. By definition, every thing found on Ezra’s twitter account would qualify him -not just english wise but legally as a child-lover.
Okay, you can still argue that there are no real life accusations linking shotacon art to being a predator. Except, that’s not the case:
A particular case of a man in Virginia who was arrested for looking at shota/loli art. This was an added charge, to downloading CP in his hard drive and assaulting an 11 year old. He was supposed to be banned from the internet, but had used shota/loli as replacement for CP, thinking the authorities wouldn’t notice.
I could go on and on about cases linked to this, but then again I would again be beating a dead horse.
So Tee, you woke up. You took your device without doing ANY research. Came on tumblr.com and started to type a poorly researched, poorly thought out post in response to the bullshit @/criticitalthoughts posted.
Because if we stand by what you said about it not standing in court, we know that is bullshit. If Ezra stood before a law court today, he would register as a sex offender.
Now, let’s come down to you weaponizing your victimhood:
As you notice if you read what Tee said, you will notice phrases such as “As a real victim” “real victim like herself” “People who are outraged are not real victims”
You will also notice her little blurb about Dark content creators not being moral enough to draw a line.
There is actually a name for that behavior. It is known as Virtuous Victim Signaling. For those who don’t know, virtuous victim signaling is basically claiming victimhood whilst demonstrating a sense of moral superiority in order to gain approval or favor.
What Tee has effectively done in her blurb is not only state that those who had valid concerns about Ezra’s predatory fetishes are not real victims - most like myself are actually survivors, as well as condemn other dark content creators who are also majorly survivors, as hypocrites, she has also put herself in a sort of moral high ground as a “non bully” or “anti witch hunt”
By portraying herself as the only victim in this situation, she has stripped other survivors not only of their experiences, but also of any form of empathy or understanding we are meant to have for the survivors' concerns. This is not the first time Tee has exhibited this behavior, as we see when she is confronted with bullying accusations (that turned out to be true) and her turning it around to make it seem like she’s the one affected instead of taking any form of accountability.
And it’s funny how Tee/Ivory loves to talk about witch hunts and bullying when you are single-handedly responsible for pushing out four writers from this app with false accusations, lying on your friend about blackfishing, outing Emmie’s new account on your callout post -an account that was supposed to be private mind you, lying and subposting that people were copying your blog’s aesthetic and plagiarizing your fics, inciting death threats on your own mutuals, bullying a black muslim who called you out on defending Ezra’s actions and deflecting his situation and posting her account name so that people harass her.
You also mention something very interesting in your post Tee:
Tumblr media
As far as I remember Tee/Ivory, you had a burner blog that you used to harrass your mutuals. You spread hate about your own mutuals. You sent death threats and encouraged your followers to send death threats to your own mutuals the moment their blog had traction.
Tumblr media
You mean like how you spoke ill about Emmie who was your friend? Or how you dragged my mutual Nara on your page and called her Islamophobic? Or how your followers are doing the exact same thing and dropping into people's inboxes?
The problem with virtual victimhood signaling is that people like Tee can see themselves as a pinnacle of morality when everything they accuse others of is what they themselves are guilty of. Tee is perfect embodiment of 'every false accusation is a confession' literally.
Also, in terms of putting herself in a moral high ground, she mentions that dark content creators have no right to judge or draw a line. Which is not true, because if people at bizzarocon could draw a line at a guy fake SA a fully grown aborted fetus as shock value -and if you know bizzarocon you’ll know that they literally write ANYTHING taboo, then dark content creators can draw a line for the same reason.
Anything that involves a child, real or a likeness of a child, is where we draw the line.
(I recommend you read that article well, because Chandler's argument and Tee's argument correlate with each other)
Writing about things like noncon or dubcon is all about regaining a sense of control that was lost. It is all about what happens to the writer or to the the reader. It can even help to process their feelings and coming to terms with cnc kinks. It can serve to bring awareness. It can even make people uncomfortable. It depends.
No dark content is more palatable than the other Tee.
And we are not crazy for all agreeing that shota art is wrong.
What does shota or loli content give? What is the intent behind wanting to put vulnerable children in sexual positions with you an adult as an aggressor? Think about it.
Using being a CSA victim and mentioning Ezra’s case of of being a CSA victim does not absolve Ezra from what he did or justify his attraction towards the likeness prepubescent kids. There are many CSA victims that grow up and repeat the same thing again because instead of vowing not to repeat or inflict harm on kids like they did to them, they use their victimhood as an excuse, a shield to perpetuate the same harm on others. Your kind of rhetoric is what a lot of pedophiles and MAP use to justify their actions.
It is sick. It is twisted. It is evil.
You do not get to undermine or silence other survivors’ outrage just because of your personal beliefs Tee. You don’t get to strip them off their survivor status. You are not the only ‘real’ victim and you do not get to speak for us or over us. Using your experience to undermine anyone else's is simply unacceptable Tee. You had absolutely no right
Tee’s racism and racial insensitivity:
If you follow any black writer on here, you would know how many have left due to racism.
You will also know that black writers in the anime community face intense racism for simply existing in a predominantly nonblack space. We are treated like nobodies, told to our faces that our faves would hate black women. We are called slurs in our inboxes, told our pussies are burnt and smelly just to name a few.
When we talk about how we are not represented in fics we are bashed and when we do write x black reader fics we are criticized intensely.
This is what black writers have to face on this app. Every. Single. Day. An app that is supposed to be our safe space and sanctuary.
When the Ezra allegations came out, a lot of black women came out and reiterated that while they were in the same server with him, Ezra had called black women’s hair nappy and then said “it was a joke” and in return these women had to leave because the server members defended Ezra.
Not just one. Not two. About 5+ black women came out to say this. Word for word.
And I’ve spoke to a few who had evidence of what he had done and how they were treated horribly.
Now Tee/Ivory thought it was a good idea to not only discredit victims of Ezra’s antiblackness but call them “rumors” and witch hunts. And when confronted about what she said about it by my mutual, she put words in my mutual’s mouth by saying she is linking pedophilia to antiblackness.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don’t need to tell you that speaking over a black woman and putting words in her mouth is racially insensitive and also a form of racial violence. I’m sure you know this Tee.
Then Tee derailed the topic into talking about palestine. Something Tee convinently only brings up when confronted with her bullshit. Something that Tee never EVER talks about or reblogs on her account.
You can go check the only posts in tumblr Tee has opened her mouth to say anything about palestine if it is not her avoiding responsibility for bullying and false accusations. Not once did you see her post about the boycott divestment week that was happening THAT WEEK. or the strike that we were not meant to post anything that wasn’t pro-palestine.
Not only that, when my mutual rightly called her out for using the Islam card (virtuous victim signalling AGAIN) to hide behind the fact that she was defending a pedophile, and yes smut is against the Hadith. You don’t get to pick or choose what is a sin or not, especially when your fellow muslim sister is speaking to you. Tee wrongly accused her of islamophobia, posted her account for her followers to send her racial slurs. Tee never clarified or apologized to her for anything that happened right after.
Let’s not mention how this is also a textbook example of antiblackness in the Islamic community which you just perpertuated there. Tee’s behavior, silence and tolerance of antiblackness from her followers also shows where she stands.
Also, Tee you are a horrible person for weaponizing your loved ones and the ongoing genocide to shield yourself from criticism. You only care or mention it when people are rightfully airing you out for your lies. How dare you. You are sick. You are sick for encouraging your follower to incite violence on a black woman. You are sick for accusing a black muslim woman of islamophobia and you are very sick for hiding behind Islam to propagate horrible ideaologies.
Then again, you are only a poc when it benefits you. Your activism starts and ends with using it as a shield when faced with valid criticism about your actions.
In conclusion:
Why did I make this post? Is it to call Tee/Ivory out?
No.
It is a reminder. This is is the kind of person Tee is. She will silence another voice that isn’t hers and hers alone. And the fact she even came back and started writing on this app again is disapponting. Yes, many people would see what she did as just ‘drama’ but her bullying, threatening, silencing of surviviors, antiblackness and using a genocide as a shield for valid criticism will never be drama to me. It is real. These are issues that bleed out in real life.
At the core of your heart Tee/Ivory, this is who you truly are:
Tumblr media
Bragging about how you’re in a different tax bracket on site that says eat the rich and means it, is ironic. Calling people brain dead and jobless for saying that you should take accountability - most of us who are actually accomplished - in fact far more accomplished than you will ever be Tee and far more talented and humble compared to you- is embarrassing.
You and your fans can keep spewing out slurs like it’s a tuesday morning Tee/Ivory.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You want to complain about hostility after witch hunting and kicking out better writers from this app? People that were your moots who cared about you? You want to complain about hostility when you outed Emmie’s new account? Or when you let your followers harrass Nara? Or how you had a hate account bullying and mocking your fellow writers? Or you single handedly making everywhere so toxic that your ex moots had to deactivate?
You?
You’re the cause of the hostility. You. You. You.
The JJK fandom is not missing anything with you gone. Don’t come back until you apologize to everyone you hurt with your actions. And if you like, delete your account and make a different one. Change your name. We will still know it’s you at your core. You'll can never change who you really are and this behaviour will forever stain your reputation in the fandom circle.

I’ve never heard of Dark Romance. Is it like, 50 shades vibes? (In the abusive way, not the kinky way of course) I’m tempted to instinctively label the genre as damaging and I’m not even sure what it is outside the context of your earlier post saying they should be better about trigger warnings.
I mean, yeah I guess 50 Shades broke far enough out of its erotica cage to be classified as Dark Romance.
And I don't think it's fair to deem an entire sub-genre "damaging" when a lot of the time, it's just people wanting to explore things through the safety of fiction. It's a form of thrill-seeking, like going on a rollercoaster or visiting a haunted house.
Not all of it is to my taste (I'm picky about my content.) but I don't think anyone reading Dark Romance actually wants to be kidnapped by the rich fairy mafia prince from the magical land of "Servants-Do-the-Laundry," and turned into his sex slave.
(I mean, you might. That laundry part is pretty tempting.)
But for some people, the idea of being removed from your daily humdrum existence and having your physical desires not only met but expanded upon in a way you can't be blamed for has a fantastical appeal that can be not only titillating but emotionally freeing.
Now that kind of content isn't going to appeal to everyone, and I know some people get really mad about their romances taking dark twists and turns before getting to the sometimes questionably happy ending. But this is why I'd love for publishing to allow for content tagging and potential trigger warnings so that people can filter for the kind of content they want. Movies, tv shows, and video games are tagged with warnings--why can't we do it for books?
As it is, authors can and are punished by distributors like Amazon for alluding to any sort of explicit content, which is harmful to everyone.
Those of us who do tag for heat ratings and content tags, regardless of whether we write Dark Romance or not (I don't) have to do it stealthily on our websites, usually, after Amazon has approved the files or we might not get approved by the censors.
Now, there are some Dark Romance authors who refuse to tag for content and will say things like "it spoils the story" or "if you're reading Dark Romance you should just expect things to be fucked up."
That is their opinion, and they are entitled to be wrong about it.
As someone who does tag for content and prioritizes readers' ability to decide whether my work is within their comfort level, I can honestly say I've never had someone complain that tagging for content has spoiled the story for them. I have in fact experienced the opposite, as well as people telling me that they saw some tags and went "hell yes!" and jumped in both feet first.
So, yeah, rambly topic is rambly.
I don't think Dark Romance is inherently harmful. What I do think is that authors trying to hide that something is Dark Romance, whether by using a really fluffy blurb or cutesy cover design because they want more sales is disingenuous and shitty. Those people can fuck off.

「🪷What you probably
didn’t know about KARMA
By Amaryllis
How Karma actually works…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now.. here’s what we don’t really see on the internet, unless we really look past mainstream media.
Even for those of us who do look into spirituality, it’s sometimes hard to look beyond the surface.. because a lot of the time we don’t know what is beyond the surface, and we don’t actually know what kind of information to research.
As I do A LOT of research, and have done over the course of many years in relation to topics like the occult, spirituality and metaphysics; I have been lucky enough to stumble across teachers that have shared this secret knowledge with me,personally or through material I have read, as well as my own personal insights and downloads, and I’m happy to share that with you.
NOW… What we are really here for.
Karmic Law
There are two things to take into consideration when thinking about karmic law. One of those things is consent.
Which I would like to explore in this particular post, I will speak on the other aspect of karma in the future.
Let us digest this first.
Now many of us wonder why some people who do really bad things, just seem to get away with it.
The truth is... there is something called the law of consent, which is rarely spoken about, but once you learn about it, it's pretty life changing.
1. Energetic consent is simply given by tuning into something. The simple act of attention, and then choosing to keep your attention on something, it creates an energetic pathway between you and that which you are focusing on.
It is no secret and many of us are aware of the fact that where your energy goes, it flows, and that’s especially true with MEDIA & ENTERTAINMENT.
Now here’s something to dwell upon, have you ever thought about who produces certain means of entertainment, like movies and shows, music,,
and why they’re so often laced with suffering, and dark concepts, which many of us have accustomed our subconscious minds to find as relatable.
Well, nevertheless, I am here to tell you that there is a high possibility for you to manifest that which you focus on because you place so much attention on it and that’s true with media as well.
When you watch things such as scary movies, movies which perpetuate the concept of abuse, movies with very dark themes and concepts .
Have you ever thought that it’s someone’s morbid way of telling you what they have done to others?
Satanists are very aware of the law of consent; and thus have used it to their advantage for many, many years .
Often times in our media and entertainment, the dark themes that we see and come across , are not just works of fiction, but it is someone telling their truth.
And here’s how this ties to karma, when something is shown to you, and you choose to accept it (by tuning into it, not rejecting it) , then it is no longer against your will, therefore it is no longer karmic .
It is instead something you choose to accept , because you, with your own will, decided for whatever reason, consciously or unconsciously; to accept and tune in to what is being shown to you.
And of course it has been extremely advantageous to satanists that people have been kept in the dark about this knowledge, because now they show you the horrific acts and crimes they commit in “works of art” and people believe it is simply an expression and nothing more, and continue to let it happen.
But I am noticing more and more people are starting to wake up; as our media becomes more and more laced with grotesque concepts and themes of sexual abuse.
Pay attention. The truth has been in front of you all this time.
Some may say,” even if it is, I can’t do anything about it”
Yes you can, your attention is where your energy flows. Instead of spending your precious time on negative media outlets, spend that time working on yourself, your own creative energy, focus on things which build you up as an individual.
I want to be realistic, a lot is built on the backbone of horrific acts, but what we can do is at least minimise how much we interact with those things which take away energy from us and which make us feel depleted and dead inside.
And maybe someday, when you have built an empire for yourself you can then focus on the world and help those in need.
Your attention is so powerful; and if we each collectively chose to tune out of these negative frequencies, the less we manifest it, because there are less people giving away their consents to this.
_If you have to study something with a darker concept to be aware of it, set your intention to keep your emotions detached and set your intention that you are only interacting with this portal for research purposes only. Dwelling is what keeps the consent going. But always set intentions, clear your space_
Tumblr media
I believe even your regular Narcissists practise this law of consent very well even though they may not be aware of it. Narcissists will often tell their victims who they are , and what they do.
Unfortunately, victims are usually stripped of their right to consent from early on, and therefore struggle with boundaries.
So they have no clue they are giving themselves away unknowingly, because there is no concept of a self, and of the fact that boundaries are something they can apply, it is all normal and comfortable behaviour to them sadly.
AMBIGUITY: By disguising truths in art, it is very easy to mix in the truth with some sort of lie and that’s where people get caught up and they can no longer discern the truth. The half truth and half lie.
You can choose to further your research on satanists and how they apply this, there are a handful of people who have spoken about this and other details in the process.
I am here to make you aware of its existence and how it is tied into consent, so you can at least take your power back.
Your consents, can be taken back. It is not set in stone. Heavier forms of consent would be contracts and that’s where things can get a little difficult.
But there are consents which are easy to take back, I have shared some examples in my post of “How to remove evil eye” & will share more in the future.
Karma means ACTION, and energetic chords, pathways, consents , create further energetic ACTION to be perpetuated.
Wether physically, mentally, emotionally. It is still action and therefore KARMA.
So we can at least work on one level, because working on any level wether it is
- Mentally
-Emotionally
-Physically
It will create a ripple effect in your reality , since everything is spiritual energy in different states of matter.
Taking your energy back is something I hear a lot in spiritual circles, what that actually means is, taking your energy back SO THAT karma is no longer happening, being perpetuated, from wherever you have taken your energy back. You have ended a cycle by doing that.
So yeah energy instigates realities to be created.
Be careful who, and what you give your time and energy into.
Your Will-power, Imagination, Intuition, these all matter so much more than you think, because they create MATTER.
⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
HOW CONSENT IS GIVEN AWAY:
- CONSENT & WILLPOWER are intertwined.
Good example: Marriage contract. “I Will”
——
- handshakes
contract formed when you introduce yourself.
mentally tell yourself that you revoke and denounce any contracts given away by you consciously or unconsciously and send away into aether now and immediately.
- attention
the more energy you put into something the more it accumulates, attention is how thoughts, ideas, concepts and beliefs enter your mind
Therefore you have consented to someone else’s will when you accept foreign ideas, so be careful who you listen to.
focusing on yourself builds up your own energy.
- SEX
Unconscious sex can lead to taking on someone else’s emotions, especially as a woman, your womb stores emotional trauma passed down from generations and when you have sex with someone, they often unconsciously trauma dump in your womb.
Many times this leads to women feeling physical discomfort and pain, their body will communicate that they have taken on someone else’s pain.
- Social media
Following and unfollowing is a way to create and break contracts, it creates a pathway between you and another person.
The internet is energy too.
- ——
Not creating intentions for yourself allows someone else to do it for you.
Use your conscious mind to create intentions for your subconscious, not the other way around.
Hey guys! Please keep in mind a lot of time and energy goes into this research :) I love being able to share it with everyone and I want to keep sharing my knowledge unconditionally which is why I haven’t created a Tumblr+.
If you resonated with this & found this helpful, consider to support me from the kindness of your heart so I can keep doing what I love and also provide you with life changing knowledge, you can leave a Tip , by clicking the Tip button in my bio or you can cashapp me £astroroyale
Thank you and much love to you all.
Don’t let yourself take on someone else’s pain (karma)
Protect yourself.
Liz briefly speaks on consents in this video she has and it literally took me by surprise, but as she mentioned she paid a lot of money to get this information. I have elaborated on that concept in this post.

Tumblr media
cw for (light) discussions of noncon
first of all, ddne is an umbrella term. it's sole purpose is literally to act as a warning to emphasise that you will find dark and triggering content on my blog, not to specify the type of triggering content because there could be a variety of thing that aren't going to appear consistently (namely, you’re calling me out for writing rape but i’ve only written 2 noncon fics, and the rest of the dddne content on my page has been due to other things). it’s an initial warning that literally stands to indicate: you will definitely find dark and triggering content somewhere on this blog and read at your own risk!!
these forewarnings - before you even click follow or look at any of the other contents on my blog - essentially mean that you cannot be mad if you end up viewing dark and triggering content on my blog, a page that literally explicitly states it contains dark and triggering content - you should've just left my blog seeing that as a warning and knowing you didn't like noncon (which is a strong element of dark fics & ddne content).
secondly, i clearly and explicitly mark everything triggering that i post/rb with the appropriate and specific triggers beforehand - both in the tags and in the warnings. so its not like you (or anyone else) can’t just block out the tags ‘cw noncon’ & ‘cw rape’ if you have an issue with seeing that type of content at all, that way you have a direct filtering system and you won't have to see any of that type of content.
thirdly, the dddne warning is there for a variety of reasons, not just to warn others. for one, to avoid scenarios like this where i'm unfairly called out - if you don't like something, simply don't read it. i have enough warnings throughout my entire page to prevent you from actually going through the process of reading what may be triggering for you, and if you make the choice to read a noncon fic all the way through, i'm sure you would've also read the content warnings and actively made the choice to disregard the triggers.
i apologise if even the words noncon or rape are triggering (and even seeing them in the content warnings triggered you), as i understand they could be, but then it circles back to the fact that i have a massive dddne warning on my pinned post in the first place - which means you should’ve just clicked off my blog/blocked me knowing that dddne explicitly indicates you could eventually find triggering content.
lastly, i’m not going to go into an in depth explanation on why i shouldn’t be penalised for ‘writing rape’ and i don’t owe it to you to explain why i personally choose to engage with or write noncon content. but i will say that fiction is there for a reason and writing is an outlet for people to explore things - especially dark media and traumatic situations - the important thing is that it’s done in a safe, controlled way and in the end, it’s not real. people cope in different ways and writing is actually an incredibly healthy way to do so. as long as everyone is over the age of 18 (as they should be to be on my blog) - able to think rationally, consent and form objective opinions about these kind of topics - then i’m not actively hurting anyone by producing this kind of content.

So small slightly deeper explanation of the anti/pro shipping drama for the bean who asked about it.
The reason people put proshippers dni is because the pro shipping community is heavily infected with people who think it’s ok to ship children with adults or to ship siblings in a non-platonic manner and that they shouldn’t be called out for it.
I’m all for shipping whatever you please do long as it’s not incestuous or pedophilic. Those are where I draw the line because allowing it in spaces makes it easier for predators to claim they’re just in their actions.
Anti-shippers usually try to call out predators in spaces but aren’t without their own bad apples with the aforementioned people who take it too far with harassment.
It’s a very nuanced situation because I don’t think people should be harassed over shipping but problematic ones l mentioned should be addressed in a serious manner and called out so they less of a chance to groom others.
(No hate this is just a topic I know a lot about and figured I’d give a better explanation on the topic, I don’t consider myself to be on either side but a neutral party. Love your content and hope you have a lovely day Momma bean!)
I don’t think people should be harassed for noncon stuff either to be honest, it’s dark fiction and as long as the author tags it right they should be left alone because people with actual noncon kinks are respectful of the safe word and want you to feel safe and secure. I think dark topics like yandere and obsession should be explored with characters and writing for those who can handle it or at the very least have a small interest in the genre.
I understand why people think fiction of this is bad. I’m a victim of this horrible crime and I understand never wanting to touch the topic. But this helps me feel in control and to express darker things that I’d never want in a million years in a healthy way. It’s ok to not like noncon 100% fine! But to shame people who do it safely and have warnings and let you know how dark it’s gonna get? Idk man. Idk. Doesn’t sit right.
I’m not shaming people who like vanilla stuff either not one bit. I want them happy and healthy and feeling safe in their little zone! It’s just the people who proclaim to be sunshine and rainbows often turn to be the hurricane in disguise. Just because you like wholesome media, it doesn’t make you a wholesome person.
I write horror and worse and y’all know me. I like to think I’m pretty nice and welcoming. ((If not let me know??? This is supposed to be a shame free blog after all???))
I get not wanting to read or write for non consensual scenarios and much worse but it’s just another dark medium certain people including me use to escape reality or to even heal from trauma. There’s a reason I write mine so gentle and protective yet scary and demanding. It makes me feel like I’m not damaged goods and that I’m wanted even if it’s more or less not reciprocated lol
Idk I’m rambling at this point I just think people should leave people alone as long as real life, flesh human beings aren’t being hurt.

the ppl in this fandom who r like “criticizing proshippers is stupid in a fandom like Outlast” are absolute weirdos and i do not trust them. just bc it’s darker subjects/media etc doesn’t mean it’s okay to be fetishizing peoples trauma or any sort of glorification of certain topics. i feel like serious critical thinking skills mixed w some light media literacy would srsly help here. i’m so glad a lot of y’all are normal but at the same time a lot of ppl act like they are better than others bc they don’t engage in “discourse” or “drama” bc their black and white mindsets (don’t come @ me i have autism AND bpd black and white mindset is my normal) doesn’t allow them to not take everything at face value and they refuse to see that things r srysly so varying and circumstantial, and applying a “this fandom is for a horror game filled w dark subjects therefore nobody should complain about anything and it should all be okay” like bro it’s not being hypocritical, please use common sense and stop speaking on shit like you are better than others just bc you’re totally fine with anything ppl do so long as “they know fiction from reality” and the rest of y’all’s stupid fucking POVs. like please see how dumb this is and how you are enabling weirdos! probably bc you are a weirdo yourself or just severely uneducated i mean half of y’all are kids and one mf i saw was almost 40 saying “leave proshippers alone” no? the fuck i won’t? it’s sick seeing my trauma be basically romanticized/glorified just bc it’s fiction. y’all just bc it’s fiction doesn’t make everything okay. there’s ethical dark fiction and unethical dark fiction, and many reasons why each one is the way it is. Outlast is so special to me because it’s not only just an amazing, interesting story filled with dynamic characters who are so memorable and unique. the care at which the subjects r approached is incredible and i feel like we as a fandom have a pretty good understanding of why certain things are just NOT okay. i mean the person who started this whole thing was like “if you are attracted to coyle you should treat him with the same treatment you give proshippers” and it just shows they have no clue what they are talking abt and why that doesn’t line up. like coyle or hate him he is an amazing character and it goes without saying that NOBODY not me, not red barrels, not Coyle Nation condones a goddamn thing he does. we don’t like him or Eddie or Trager for the problematic parts of them ? Y’all lack a vital understanding of the message and purpose behind the topics and character traits explored, and when i know i don’t understand smthn i look into it before speaking on it acting like i’m better than everyone and have some hot take. srsly some of y’all do not belong in this fandom. those of you who have brain cells left, ILY 😽

Make Them Sparkle
(fanfic, oneshot)
Summary:
If Raphael had any say in this, Magnus would not be allowed to give mundanes writing advice. Ever.
Magnus prided himself on being a person who went with, and adapted to the ever changing times.
He had witnessed many immortals who got stuck in particular time periods. Be it refusing to adopt new fashion trends, or remaining stagnant in certain behaviors or mindsets that had been common at one point in history. Bemoaning how things ‘used to be so much better back in the day’. People who needed to anchor themselves in the past, in order to face the present and future.
Not Magnus, though. While he treasured many of the memories made during his long existence, he had always been the type to look forward, instead of back.
He had seen and embraced the progress humanity made, philosophically, technologically, and socially.
And, while the road of progression hadn’t always been a smooth one and weathered its fair share of hiccups along the way, Magnus certainly appreciated the fruits of this particular labor.
(And not only mundanes, but the shadow world, too, had come a long way from what it had once been. Magnus would never not be proud of the part his dearest Alexander and his friends and family had played in that development.)
Anyway, being a "modern" warlock, and having personally supported some of the various technological marvels of the world they now lived in, Magnus had a deep appreciation for the internet.
A way for so many people from so many different places and stages of life to come together, to connect and share with each other, was truly remarkable.
There was almost nothing that the internet didn’t have, unless it connected to matters of the shadow world, but even that was slowly changing.
From funny videos and beautiful music, to shops and art and so much more.
Websites tailored to specific hobbies or tastes. Sites to find employment, or living accomodations. Those that gave the user an opportunity to make friends, or find love.
And, of course, so called help-forums. Professionally or community run sites, spanning various topics all around offering advice when someone needed it.
Like one particular writing forum for aspiring authors, which Magnus had found himself in one sunny afternoon, as he had been browsing aimlessly to waste some time.
One of the requests had caught his eye especially.
‘Please help me bring fresh wind into old supernatural lore!’
Clicking on the request and reading further, Magnus had learned that the hopeful author was trying to write a teen love story with vampires and werewolves, revolving around a highschool mundane girl and her vampiric love interest, as well as a werewolf contender.
Magnus had snorted, thinking the idea hardly original, and had almost clicked away again, but one sentence had stood out.
‘Vampire love stories are a dime a dozen, I’m well aware of that. But while plot and circumstances often change around the different narratives, the lore and rules behind the vampires rarely do. It’s always a thirst and need for blood, a weakness to religious artifacts, and an inability to bear sunlight. That last one especially, I wish to change for my story, as I feel that describing a whole world that most humans are unaware of, and plays mostly in the dark, is terribly restrictive. But I also think that just waving any effect the sun might have on a vampire away, is a missed opportunity for exploring alternative plot points. Which is why I’m asking for any kind of inspiration or thoughts any of you might be willing to share.’
So Magnus had read on as the author had described their world and characters in a little more detail.
And upon learning of the broody, dark haired, stubborn, kind and compassionate main vampire character, Magnus couldn’t help it when his brain had made the comparison between a fictional character, and his very own favorite broody, dark haired, stubborn, kind and compassionate vampire.
And as he was thinking of his dear little Raphael, the vampire he had taken under his wing decades ago and practically raised (even though Raphael had been 24 and fully adult by mundane standards when he had been turned), Magnus hadn’t been able to curb his more mischievous impulses.
Clicking on the answering function to the thread, he had snickered heavily as he typed out just three words.
‘Make them sparkle!’
Who would have thought that, just a few years later, this little bit of innocent fun he had had, would come back to interrupt his sexy make out session with his precious shadowhunter boyfriend?
“Magnus!” The door slammed open and shut in barely more than a second, as an incensed Raphael stormed into the loft.
A lifetime of training and battle ready instincts had Alec lift Magnus off his lap and behind him in just one move (which was so fucking hot, if not for their unplanned intruder, Magnus would have climbed his boyfriend like a tree), as his other hand seemlessly went down to quickly retrieve the throwing knife strapped to his lower leg.
The defensive maneuver was aborted as soon as Alec registered who had just barged into the apartment, and instead the tall man slumped back into the couch (careful not to crush his boyfriend) with a deep, slightly annoyed, sigh.
Raphael though reacted to neither the knife that had almost been thrown at him, nor the glare the shadowhunter was giving him right then.
Instead, he held up the book he had in hand and snarled in Magnus' direction. “What the fuck is this?!”
Magnus blinked, still trying to sort through the haze of his newly ignited arousal after Alexander’s display of strength and speed, and the clearly agitated mood Raphael seemed to be in.
“It’s called a book, my dear. It holds in its pages the wonder of the written word and thus the power to create wonderful and fascinating tales for all to share.”
If anything, that answer made Raphael look even more mutinous. Which was just rude, if anyone were to ask Magnus.
“I know what a book is!”
Magnus huffed, finally straightening himself out of the mess of limbs he had been from Alexander’s manhandling him to safety (And they would have a talk about that later. As hot as that had been, Magnus couldn’t have his Alexander trying to shield him while facing a threat on his own.)
“Then why did you ask?”
Raphael could apparently not be bothered to explain, and instead just chucked the book at him. Once again shadowhunter reflexes trumped Magnus' own, and Alec snatched the book out of the air before it could hit the warlock.
He scrunched up his nose a little (which was adorably cute in Magnus’ humble opinion and he quickly leant forward a bit to peck Alec on the cheek) as he read the title. “Twilight?”
It made Magnus smirk. “Oh, I think I have heard of this. A supernatural teen romance novel, if I remember Biscuit’s words correctly. I must be honest, my dear boy, I didn’t think this would be your type of thing.”
But the vampire just crossed his arms over his chest. “Open it up to the introduction.”
A little puzzled, but also curious, Alec and Magnus did just that. It appeared to be just your ordinary preface to any book.
‘I thank everyone who has supported me through this, bla bla bla, I’m incredibly honored and grateful for this opportunity to share bla bla bla, I hope this tale will find a way into your heart bla bla bla.’
Really; pretty standard as far as the warlock was concerned. Until they reached the last section on the introductory page, and it slowly dawned on Magnus just why Raphael looked as if he had been forced to listen to Simon ramble about a deep introspection on why Spider-Man was the best Marvel superhero ever.
Oh.
‘I would like to give special thanks to someone I unfortunately have never met personally, but whose input has definitely helped to inspire me to spice things up a bit. So this is to you, The_Magnificent_Bane. I “made them sparkle”!’
“Oh.”
“Oh?” Raphael thundered. “That’s all you have to say to this? You told this woman to make her vampires sparkle in the sunlight like some demented disco ball! We don’t sparkle! The only sparkly crazy person around here is you! Do you have any idea what the stupid flea balls are going to say when they learn of this? Are you laughing? Stop laughing! There is going to be so many glitter jokes in my future now thanks to you! I’m never gonna hear the end of this! Magnus! Stop laughing!”
Magnus stopped laughing. Eventually.

hello, sorry if this is too real of an ask if you're not feeling too well recently, but I've been meaning to ask if you have any advice when it comes to tackling really dark topics in fanfics?? I've been meaning to write a darkfic with the Kid pirates main 4 as slasher movie villains (think Jason Voorhees vibes) with a touch of yandere tendencies, so there's not gonna be a lot of comfort/fluff in this fic. this is naturally gonna be hard to write especially when it comes to wanting to write dark and disturbing scenes without wanting to glorify or romanticise abusive behavior or stockholm syndrome, not to mention not wanting to upset or trigger survivors, especially as one myself, so any advice would be lovely. thank you ^-^
I’m going to start this off with what I think should be your most important takeaway from this:
It’s okay to romanticize abuse in fiction.
It’s okay to romanticize horror, murder, etc. etc. in fiction.
Fiction is where we can do the really uncomfortable stuff. Where we can explore the darks part of existing, because it’s good to be able to go “I connect with this and I should consider why.” Or “this brings me comfort, how can I break that down?” Stuff like that.
Sometimes it helps us realize a view or understanding we had that we thought was good is inherently flawed. (I am reminded of viewers being very angry when they realized the character in The Boys they connected with was *not* a good guy and did not get redeemed.)
What we have to be careful about is not condoning such themes in reality.
Horror movies and books go into deep dark territory all the time, but often hobby writers can be held to odd standards by comparison, which gets a bit frustrating at times.
How to avoid that AND present dark fic properly?
On Ao3 and tumblr just tag your story - character death, gore, stalking, Stockholm syndrome, abuse, toxic relationship, dubcon, noncon as applicable, excessive descriptions of blood and gore, etc.
You don’t have to get specific - you don’t have to say who dies/survives. You can admit to “this has a bad end” if you want - I had a webcomic warn me about that and it was NOT kidding.
Some responsibility is on the writer for dark fic, yes, but honestly that’s just in terms of being sure you label it well. Avoiding and heeding those tags is solely on the reader - as long as you didn’t, say, write about disarticulation in exacting detail without warning “excessive descriptions of blood and gore”.
You can put additional warnings in the summary, or even as a heads up before a particularly intense chapter.
And, you’re not going to be perfect. If someone says “hey can you add [x] tag?” Be open to it - but don’t add any and every tag requested - sometimes people can be demanding in tag requests and you have the right to decide where the line really is.
For example someone might ask that you add a tag involving eye-trauma. It’s a squick of mine, people getting injured on, in, around their eyes, and I wouldn’t be upset with a heads up - but I also think it’s covered under warnings of gore.
Someone might ask that you tag a specific character’s death - personally? I wouldn’t. “Character death” is enough. “Slasher/horror” honestly should really be enough cause even though I don’t watch horror movies I have a keen understanding that you do not get attached to characters in a horror story.
As long as you hit the broad strokes, I think that’s enough. The idea is that no one wants to walk into a slasher when they were expecting fluff.
As for taking care of ourselves as writers while we write dark content, that’s harder to give advice on. I really have to be in a steady frame of mind to write dark stuff, but if I know there’s vindication in there somewhere it’s much easier. (There’s a stalker in A Light Touch that gets his due and as someone who has had more than 6, it was cathartic to write.)
But sometimes there’s catharsis in the bad guy winning too. You’ve got to understand those lines for yourself - I can’t really give you advice cause it’s so different for everyone. But listen to yourself.
If it feels like a slog, leave it.
If it’s not getting out of your mind, write it.
You’re not “weird” if you write your darkest shit when you’re happiest, or vice versa. What you need to do is just keep an eye on yourself - there is no world in which you should suffer in order to write “good dark content”.
For better or worse, that’s the best advice I have - I hope it’s helped ^_^

You’re probably not going to see this, but as a teen that started following you for ace/aro posts, your takes on purity culture and antis have been really important to me. To be honest I haven’t cared about proship/anti discourse in years and find the terms to be reductive and oversimplifying but I’m so sick of seeing call outs in my social circles that sum up to “this person that is open about the fact they like dark content likes dark content!” Like, I thought you didn’t WANT to interact with them, why are you mad that they’ve made their beliefs clear enough for you to block?
I’d never harass someone over fake people that don’t exist but I guess I have pretty “anti” tastes- pairings between a 16 year old and an 18 year old are enough to squick me out and my current fandom has a very popular incest subculture which is. A lot. But at the same time subjects like grooming and SA/CSA recovery are very fascinating to me, and your posts have helped me shake off the guilt I have about that and fear of being seen as an abuse apologist if I write fics about those topics.
I don’t really know where I’m going with this. Just, thank you, I guess. I hope you have a good day/night/whenever you read this :)
hello, dear, i'm so glad that my blog could be helpful to you <3
i agree with you that the anti/proship terminology does kind of feel like it trivializes really important issues, but please allow me to clarify one thing - being "proship" has nothing to do with WHAT you ship and everything to do with HOW you ship. it's not about taste, it's about philosophy.
i actually have pretty vanilla tastes myself; i typically avoid most dark fic, i'm not really into kink, i don't usually like "dead dove" type content, and most of my ships are not particularly controversial. the only incest ship that doesn't gross me out is thorki, because like, they're millennia-old alien space gods based on north mythology; incest is kinda the least weird thing going on there. i have a few ships that could be called abusive, like erik/christine from the phantom of the opera, but generally speaking, my tastes are tame and i just like a good fic with some tasty angst , a little sappy smut, and a happy ending.
however, i understand that other people ARE into all the stuff i'm not into, and it's none of my business what they enjoy, and, critically, my discomfort with those works does not matter, no more than it dictates what i choose to engage in and what i choose to avoid.
my discomfort with darkfic doesn't mean people who like darkfic are immoral, or that darkfic itself is immoral. it means that i don't read darkfic. i understand that my comfort and discomfort are not the moral code of the universe, and furthermore, that a quest for "moral purity" is not only impossible, but actively harmful. a lesson i learned quite well growing up in the baptist church.
using the title of 'proshipper' doesn't mean that i personally like "problematic" ships or whatever, it means that i find harassing people over their fictional tastes reprehensible. it means that i understand that there's a big, big difference between what you enjoy reading in fiction and what you approve of or endorse in real life, and that part of the purpose of fiction is to give us a safe place to explore dark, fucked up shit where it won't have real-world consequences. fiction is an outlet, not a mirror.
even if i personally find the content deeply disturbing, i understand that it is simply none of my fucking business what other people read and write about, provided that they tag the content properly. that's being proship.
anyway, i'm glad that i could help relieve you of your guilt. take care, dear.

…Here is something a bit more serious I wanted to ask…
How do feel when it comes the fact that plenty of sexual themes inside LO are being told incorrectly to a young audience (I keep hearing on how most of Webtoon readers are still around 12-16 year old girls)?
Specially with the fact that Rachel keeps on sexualizing Persephone after some scenes showcasing her trauma….
I hope I’m not overstepping my boundaries here…thanks again for listening.
You're not overstepping at all ! This is actually a topic I've gone off about in the past at length on reddit and in chatrooms like Discord so I'm always happy to divulge about it and talk about it. It's a problem that goes way bigger than LO but I'll try my best to keep it focused on LO for the sake of getting to the point.
Before I get into it, obligatory TRIGGER WARNING for discussion surrounding sexual trauma/abuse/etc. and how it's romanticized and marketed in Webtoons media.
There are so many comics in Webtoons library that are just skeevy beyond belief for the stories they're trying to tell. Whether it's gratuitous oversexualization of its characters to the point of being absurd, to the implications of the romances in these stories that often border on non-consensual/toxic, Webtoons seems to be using these types of things as its main draw in a lot of their "big money" series - or at least, the ones they tend to market the most.
Now don't get me wrong, I've got a strong stomach for weird/creepy/dark shit and I'm capable of having suspension of disbelief when reading stories like this. I'm an SA survivor myself but despite this, I'm no stranger to dark romance or stories that 'toe the line' or even overstep it completely between morally acceptable and morally apprehensible, a lot of these kinds of stories have actually helped me overcome and heal from what I've been through. Suspension of disbelief is important and this is, after all, fiction, where we as creators are able to explore taboo or 'forbidden' topics in ways that either interest us or empower us or just feel like fun to write.
But there's still a line to be drawn because I'm an adult person who has literary analysis skills and is capable of picking apart these stories and what they might be consciously - or subconsciously - teaching us or portraying. Kids and teens? They basically are what they eat. This isn't to say teenagers are stupid or anything of the sort, but I was a kid too once and I know I internalized a lot of media that I straight up shouldn't have been consuming at the time. And I do think a lot of webtoons on the WT platform specifically dangerously veer into that territory all for the purpose of money and clout.
Again, don't get me wrong, I love morally questionable or otherwise abrasive characters, I think they're fun to write and fiction is a great way to explore those kinds of dynamics (and I've had pals weirdly thank me for how much suffering I put my characters through LMAO). But I'm also not gonna sit here and bullshit people into thinking my main projects are meant for teens. They're not. My main protagonists are in a shitty toxic relationship that should not be romanticized. My main character is a hyperbolic self-insert reflection of how awful I used to be as a person and how I was at the center of all my own problems for years. You should be 18 at minimum if you want to read my work because the stuff I write about isn't appropriate for or wouldn't be able to be observed and accepted as just fiction the way most mature adults can.
Now I'm not saying my work is "deep" or anything like that, it's stupid fun weeb shit. But it's the kind of stupid fun weeb shit I wouldn't want a teenager internalizing or taking to heart. It's why I'll include plenty of disclaimers to remind people that my stuff is a work of fiction and I simply enjoy exploring these kinds of tropes and dynamics through my characters, but I do not condone their behavior or the things I represent in my work. I fully respect other creators and writers who do the same.
Rachel is not one of those people. Rachel doesn't do this. She tries to claim to be progressive while completely misrepresenting the things she writes. She doesn't actually care about these topics, she just wants you to think she cares about them. Don't get me wrong, there are other series on the platform that are absolutely problematic when it comes to this sort of thing (Webtoons looooves marketing them, blech) but Lore Olympus is the absolute pinnacle of irresponsible, the sum of everything that's wrong with Webtoons.
It gets constant special treatment - often times being put in the banner reel every time it updates and in the prime spots no less that are rarely ever given to other - far more thought-provoking and well-written - series that could really use the ad space.
It markets itself to kids and teens despite having subject matter that either isn't handled responsibly OR should be taken with a level of suspension of disbelief that a lot of teens/kids aren't capable of having.
And the subject matter that it does try to handle responsibly is flubbed entirely because they're leaving it up to the writing 'skills' of a privileged white woman from New Zealand who's either never lived these experiences or, those that she has, couldn't even write them into a narrative when she tries because she still exists with internalized biases that completely miss the mark because she's never tried to look at things with a viewpoint outside of her own.
She's just not a writer, full stop. But because it's Webtoon's golden goose, they market the shit out of it anyways and give it preferential treatment. And of course, they market it to kids and teens because it's cute and colorful, and kids and teens will be more likely to overlook its blatant problems because they don't have the literary analysis skills yet to identify them.
The other side of the coin they market to? The adults who don't think these problems are problems to begin with. These are the same adults who celebrated 50 Shades of Grey and After as if they're masterworks of fiction. Overall very shitty, problematic people. At least the teenagers have the potential to "grow out of it". The adults who defend Rachel like their life depends on it are grown up but not mature or empathetic in the slightest towards those who have found their own stories and experiences trivialized or otherwise misrepresented completely through LO.
I know, that's undoubtedly a lot of hot takes, but this is such a massive problem in romance stories today. I get it, it's "drama", and it's been around since the harlequin novels of old, but the way it's pushed and romanticized and presented as if it's somehow "couple goals" by the people - often women - who write them is getting to be exhausting.
At this point I put Rachel Smythe right up there with Anna Todd and EL James - ego-driven female "writers" who wrote shitty fanfiction that got a lot of views and happened to fail upwards in their success, but when you dig past the subscriber count numbers and the clout, they themselves are not that profound or well-read in any meaning of the word. They're just people with huge deeply-rooted issues who write problematic romances instead of going to therapy.
And that's all I'm gonna say on that.

𝑻𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒇𝒂𝒓𝒆 / a Javier Peña fic.
PAIRING: Javier Peña x Original Female Character
SUMMARY:   After being transferred back to the States from Colombia, Javier Peña is relocated to a small town in the middle Texas as the new Deputy Sheriff to help solve a string of murders that have been occurring in this more rural part of the state. Rumors of a sacrilegious group plague the community which has its citizens on edge. Along the way, he enters a convoluted relationship with the sheriff’s daughter, Paloma. Entranced not only by her beauty but also by her captivating and enticing artistry as she preforms at a local bar on weekend nights. The once DEA agent soon begins to realize that there’s a lot more at play here than initially thought. Heavily influenced by Ethel Cain’s Preacher’s Daughter album.
RATING:   18+ Mature topics such as sex, drugs, murder, the occult, religion, cannibalism and other triggering matters will be explored in this body of work. More specific tags will be listed on chapter posts.
DISCLAIMER/WARNINGS:   The Javier Peña referenced in this body of work is solely based off of the character that appears in Netflix’s Narcos and not the actual person. Very canon divergent and I will tweak things as I see fit to compliment the narrative of this story. While efforts have been made to be accurate in terms of canon timeline, a lot of details will be fictionalized, including the usage of the song(s) that Paloma will perform throughout the story.
A/N:   hey y’all! just wanna say that this was an idea that popped in my head as i was rewatching narcos for the dozenth time while simultaneously discovering ethel cain’s work (i know i’m late, cut me some slack pls) but i’ve genuinely never been so inspired to… write. so with that, i give you all a small prologue of sorts to see if there’s any interest in continuing this. it’s my first time publicly posting any of my works so i’m so fuckin’ nervous but oh well i’m just diving head first!

The sounds of twigs snapping beneath her feet echo throughout the forest, her frantic breaths making her chest burn as she continues to run aimlessly in attempts to escape her captors. Nina had gotten lucky, her wrist burned from constantly rubbing against her rope confinements until eventually she was able to undo the tight knot and free herself from her imminent death. She wasted no time in booking it out of whatever tattered building they were in; being met with nothing but surrounding darkness.
It didn’t take long before those who had taken her realized she was missing, but it was enough to put some distance between herself and them. Her bare feet ache from the unforgiving woodsy ground, legs slashed from the various twigs and thorns that she had run through in order to make her escape. But that pain was only temporary, and currently her body was focused on survival. She had to make it back to civilization; even if she didn’t know where she was.
A few more minutes of running before the girl finds some kind of solace behind a towering oak tree, her back pressed against its ridges as she allows herself a moment to catch her breath.
To regroup.
One hand travels up to her collarbone where a delicate cross necklace sits against her skin, she grips it tightly and begins to utter a soft yet frantic prayer hoping that the God she’s devoted her life to would spare her from the horrors and fate she’s currently facing. Her eyes snap open at the sound of a twig snapping loudly and before Nina has any time to react to the sudden presence, she’s being yanked by her forearm out of the shadows and roughly thrown onto the ground.
She’s been caught.
“ Please let me go. I promise I won’t tell anyone. ” Nina pleads and it’s nothing this trio has not heard before.
“ Oh sweet child… ” The smooth yet dangerous voice of the leader of this tormenting group crouches down until he’s at her level, brushing a strand of tawny hair away from her face as he gazes deep into her eyes.
Deep into her soul.
“ You cannot keep the inevitable from occurring. ” Enter the other man, a heavy two barreled shotgun in his hands pointed directly at her. Nina’s lips curl into a pout as tears begin to pour down her supple cheeks. This gets a scoff out of the third person that makes up the trio, a girl that was around her age.
“ Oh poor baby is cryin’. this coulda been so much easier if you hadn’t ran, doll face. ” Her tone is patronizing as she watches Nina intently, a smirk sprawled across her own lips. “ C’mon August, we need to deal with her before we miss our window of opportunity. Again. ” she looks down at the antique watch that adorns her left hand. Only a few minutes until three in the morning.
August takes a few more moments to study the weeping girl before him, just as a predator would its prey. However, there’s a softness in his eyes that she isn’t able to fully register. He eventually stands to his full height. “ It will have to be done here. There is not enough time to bring her back to the house. ” He snaps his fingers at the man with the shotgun and he immediately lowers it, silent as ever and reaching into his back pocket to pull out a large, silver dagger that glistens as the moonlight from the full moon shines down upon it. Nina’s eyes widen at the sight of the blade and she begins to scramble backwards but August reaches down to grasp her ankle to keep her from moving.
“ Hold her down. ” He orders and the other two wordlessly comply, the dagger now in August’s possession as the guy takes hold of her wrists and the girl of her ankles. Nina begins to thrash around violently to no avail. They’ve got a strong hold on her.
“ Please, A-August please I’ll d-do whatever you want. I w-won’t tell anyone just p-please don’t kill me. ” The helpless girl cries, tears and snot mixing as violent sobs rack throughout her entire body.
The earnest begging for her life falls on deaf ears, instead August plants one foot on either side of her body, now towering over her completely with the dagger firmly in his grasp. Between her hysteric crying and overwhelming emotions, Nina doesn’t understand the words that fall past the man’s lips but she knows for certain that he isn’t speaking English.
She attempts to save herself one final time but is ignored once more. Just as August finishes his prayer-like uttering, the wind begins to pick up around them, sending leaves and dirt to swirl around them as if they had conjured up their own, mini tornado.
Nina’s eyes widen as the dagger raises itself over his head.
“ I am no good nor evil, simply I am
And I have come to take what is mine. ”
And with those final words, the dagger plunges down deep into her chest, right where her heart lies. A piercing scream shoots out of her throat, damn near destroying her vocal chords as August continues to stab the sharp blade into her flesh over and over again.
Until eventually, the life drains from Nina’s eyes.

ok real talk i know it’s fun doing angst to the twins but there needs to be a hard line drawn in the obsession with making emmet insane and violent with grief. i’m taking a gamble putting this in the main tag but i believe it NEEDS to be said, so please feel free to block and disregard if it’s too upsetting. believe me i get it
i have ptsd. i know what it’s like to be so traumatized that it changes you, makes you angry and upset and prone to lashing out bc your brain can’t function properly anymore. i know exactly what it’s like to lose control of how you think and feel and process information and it’s terrifying. i’m all about respectful depictions of mental illness in my media and anyone who’s followed me for a while is well aware how passionate i am that people DO talk about it. write fic about it, make art about it. but have some goddamn tact for all of us out there who don’t have the luxury of moving on from one fanfic to the next.
think about us reading these things and having to deal with the reality that this is how you perceive us. we’ve suffered from immense trauma and continue to suffer in so many different ways all the time, and that’s not something we can escape from. we can’t push the tragedy away like you can. we get triggered, have flashbacks, have psychotic episodes, and have to manage those for our own safety and well-being. i have triggers that i’ve spent years working through so i can safely browse random shit online, but even then something could happen at any second that sends me spiraling. it happens. it has happened and will happen countless times for the rest of my life, but i’m fortunate enough to have had treatment for my ptsd and adjacent traumas.
there are many of us who aren’t as lucky to get that help and end up somewhere truly awful, and they’re the ones hurt the most. we are not inherently violent. we aren’t suddenly cruel and callous and do horrible things to people we love. we are permanently, irreparably injured and cast aside, disregarded, because we’re an ugly truth nobody likes to acknowledge. we exist just like the rest of you, have regular mundane lives, and fight every single day to keep our heads above water only to try to indulge in our favorite series’ and see ourselves painted as broken, violent things to pity, by the very people we thought we could trust with our vulnerability. and i’ve been burned before.
trauma victims are not concepts of fiction for you to play with. we aren’t tropes and tags to delight in for morbid satisfaction or borderline perversion for tragedy. i love angst and i love dark media exploring these exact topics and go out of my way to roll around in disturbing content and psychological horror. it’s cathartic, it tickles my psychology brain, and i know i'd love them with or without my own mental illnesses. with them however, i genuinely adore and appreciate grounded depictions of emmet working through his trauma, confronting the darkest parts of himself, and learning from them. that’s a struggle i understand. it’s unfathomably difficult and many of us don’t make it out. it’s ugly at times but it is all the same.
so here is what i present at the end of all this: have respect for topics of mental illness, trauma, and ptsd. have respect for the victims out there who enjoy the same things you do, the same genres, but find ourselves romanticized. fetishized. author intent does not matter because we’re real people whose largest wounds are being used as playthings in media we’re trying to enjoy with everyone else.
and if you continue to do so regardless (i’m not your dad you can do whatever you want), don’t be surprised by negative reactions. being quiet certainly hasn’t helped us this far.

I’m just gonna say it. And I might get a lot of heat for it to but I’m grown so I’m going to address this. (Also because I finally got some well needed sleep to actually have my brain work).
I don’t care what other people do. I don’t give a fuck honestly. I don’t go out of my way to be rude to people because I don’t like what they do. Especially to someone I don’t follow or interact with. I think that’s weird as hell.
So long as it’s in the realm of fiction, people are going to do whatever they want. I have no control over what they do or create. That’s their own right to freedom of expression.
I have better things to do than be intolerable to other people who enjoy taboo subjects. They are allowed to write about or draw taboo subjects, no matter how weird they may be. No matter how much it is socially unacceptable, they will still create it. That’s just how the world is. People are strange and unusual. Some people really get into those subjects (to a very concerning point) and I’m just lucky I can block them. Boom. They’re gone forever.
There is nothing one can do to physically stop someone. Just block them and be done with it. That’s the mature reaction to have. Delete it if it’s content you do not like. Don’t interact with it if you don’t like it. Read the trigger warnings and do not proceed if you don’t like it. Most people avoid topics that trigger them. That’s what normal people do.
I’ve read a really intense noncon story before and I threw up. But that’s on me. I ignored the warnings and I thought I was a hard ass and I could read it. I couldn’t sleep the rest of the night because it did trigger me. But I didn’t slam that author for writing that. Because I did it to myself. I don’t think the author is evil for making content like that either. They’re allowed to write whatever they want, I just blocked them.
I have no room to judge someone when I write about taboo topics myself so I’m not going to rain hell fire on anyone. I’d rather just talk to them first if I have a problem with something. There’s a human being behind the screen. It’s not hard to be like, “hey I was wondering why you posted this subject and I was wondering if you you were into this subject. Because I don’t think it’s socially acceptable. Can you take it down or add trigger warnings?”
I try to be understanding to everyone and give them the benefit of the doubt. I only give one chance to people to explain themselves before I block them. Especially when they confirm with me they do have those fantasies in real life (example: pedophilia/ incest). Blocked. Blocked. Thrown into a fire and forgotten about. Never want to look at that again. That’s disgusting but at least I confirmed it. I got my closure. I can just say, “hey. So and so is a pedophile. Everyone should block their account.” Or “hey. So and so is racist. We should block their account.” Etc.
All I can do is just not interact with their material if I don’t like it. It’s the internet. People are gonna be weird but I’m not going to bully someone for it. I would much rather block them so I don’t have to see content I don’t like
I’m not going to shame someone either for liking what they like (I will judge you but I will not shame you). I don’t have to respond or create the content they request if I don’t want to. I have a right to do that. I have a right to respond with reaction memes too. I can play it off with jokes to keep my sanity. But if it continues, I block.
If I want to write Noncon or dubcon, I can. If I want to write about darker subjects, I can. If I want to explore dark psychology of characters I can. That does not mean I support it in real life. It is fiction. It is fantasy. I would never want anything dark that I write to become reality.
I can also write fluffy and cute subjects as well. I like being a well rounded writer that can write something absolutely spine chilling and then turn around and make heart warming stories as well. I like being multifaceted. I like improving my writing by writing about all kinds of different subjects. They challenge me to imagine scenarios and settings I never would’ve thought of before. They challenge me to research different cultures and binge watch horror/crime series or movies.
But I’m not going to be mean to anyone. I don’t have the energy to be hateful towards anyone or judge them. It’s just not who I am
So please be nice to other people and talk to them first before going on here to call them names or tell them to stop making content and find something else to do. If you don’t like the content they make, just block them. It’s takes four seconds. Trust me. Karma always gets people when they do horrible things. Let the universe run its course before being a keyboard warrior
I have blocked every transphobic, homophobic, racist, biphobic, misogynistic, pedophilic, r*pe praising, p*rn accounts, etc I have come across so far. I do not tolerate hate or the sexualization of minors

Hii! Previous shipping discourse anon here after doing some Thinking(tm). I think the problem that people see in proshippers is not that it *is* dark or deals with sensitive topics, but that's its weirdly...fetish-y? Like, there's a specific breed of anti that I don't like that's that's kaeluc antis(basically, sworn bros v adopted bros)(because their entire argument is a bit sinophobic) but there are ppl who will go out of their way to make them adopted bros anyway so. You can Tell it's a fetish
Oh man I vaguely remember when we were talking about kaeluc on here. Still know Nothing about it but I remember it (for some reason) came up.
…or I read about it on another blog?
Whatever. More to the point.
I’m a strong defender of “it’s cool to like dark fiction just because you enjoy it.” I don’t think anyone needs a justification. We don’t demand people explain why they like watching action movies with blood and death, do we?
But also I know exactly what you mean. Like. Eurgh. I am way too tired to explain my very complex thoughts about human sexuality. But for one thing, adopted siblings falling in love is like. A really old trope. Do I like it? No. Is it a thing? For some reason! (S/o to Cassandra Claire for letting me accidentally read her weird incest fantasy books.) But okay, I think I can say…
There are people who write things purely for porn purposes. I try not to judge those too much, with a few exceptions, mostly what I referenced earlier.
Then there are people exploring themes etc. Which is like. That’s what I do. Actually it’s funny that you used that example because one of my fic ideas includes the line “Why do I want to call you my brother when we’re having sex?” (It’s a joke in context, but explaining that context is beyond the point.) So like yeah they are generally speaking fine in my book.
And then there’s the middle ground where things get murky. It’s clearly not someone just writing something for the purposes of getting off, but it’s also not a sincere exploration. It’s…yeah, it’s something else.
I’m too tired to really wrap this up. Lemme try anyway.
I think a lot of people…okay, this goes back in part to media literacy, but there’s also some current cultural factors here, but a lot of people struggle to separate their intrinsic disgust from actual risk. It’s like — there was a spider living in my bathroom for a while. It kind of terrified me at first but the spider is just chilling. The spider is not an actual harm to me.
And as an author, sometimes I just want to make people feel revulsed and disgusted. God knows I’m familiar enough with the feeling.
Okay I am literally falling asleep as I type. Hopefully this makes sense? I am so exhausted, it’s been a Rough Ass Week in ya boy.
Maybe like. In reference to my previous comment on Lolita, I want people to understand the disgust they feel in response is part of the stories. Stories are meant to be felt. Sometimes horror is part of the feeling.
Oh my god I cannot keep my eyes open why did I think this was a good idea.
I really don’t have a label in the discourse. I don’t care what I am labeled as, so as long as it doesn’t involve misinformation.
K that’s all for tonight but I’ll check my inbox for you in the morning nonnie

Tumblr media
nobody is a villain in their own story. George R.R. Martin.
#heroicintention — independent selective multimuse blog. medium activity. 18+ only. written by puff (she/her 25+). mutuals only.
dark & questionable themes present. please read rules before following.
site. memes. starter calls.
Mobile Rules.
18+ Only. I am over 25, and I will only write with people over 18. If I believe I am speaking with someone below legal age, I will cut off contact immediately.
21+ Shipping. I am so sorry to anyone under 21, but I am more comfortable writing ships / more intimate relationships with those over the age of 21. I’m still happy to write with anyone over 18 in a general manner, but I just don’t want to write that, you know?
No Bigotry. I know I write some HELLA problematic kids, but ooc we do not take any of the phobias. Just leave. (I didn’t think I needed to say this specifically but I do not support JKR. I like the sandbox, I am attached to the characters, I think she’s a bigoted bitch.)
Following. I will probably only follow blogs I see myself having fandoms in common && I will have read your rules. I am happy to write with OCs as well, but I am mainly on tumblr to explore more dynamics in the fandoms I love . I will not follow those who are critical of what others are writing in their own spaces. I can respect having boundaries. I do not respect calling people names or hammering down on people for their interest in fictional topics.
Ending Contact / Blocking. The block button is a friend and I advise we all get to know her.
If we are mutuals and you unfollow for any reason other than inactivity please hard block me. I do not mind and I will not dig into it. I mainly do not want to cause discomfort because my forgetful ass follows you again. Moreover, I don’t want to be under the impression we’re still mutuals. I’ve gotten chewed out for it before and I’m way too sensitive for this world.
If I unfollow from inactivity or just no interaction, I'll probably soft block. I just prefer to do so.
If I’ve blocked you and we’ve never interacted? I just don’t see us meshing and/or something in your rules made me decide my blog may not be for you. No one is perfect for everyone.
If I am made to feel uncomfortable for any reason, I will cut off communication and block. The block button is a friend. We love her.
Triggers. This blog can and probably will contain dark, questionable, and possibly problematic themes. I will tag things as appropriately as I can. I will not tag things out of fanon thought (i.e. ‘they’re like brothers’ does not equal incest. All ship art / ship threads will have tags. Block them or block me. Again, I don’t mind. I don’t have many triggers, but will not be writing the following:
Any terminal illness au threads or any thread that has terminal illness romanticized.
Any romance / sexual relationship between a minor and an adult. All my muses partaking in a relationship WILL be 18+, though more likely 21+.
Anything regarding scat or vomit.
On Shipping.
Do not force ships on me. I will not force ships on you. I don’t mean don’t approach me and ask— I mean don’t have your muse automatically talk about having an intimate relationship with mine without discussion. My muses USUALLY need to work up to ships and I most likely will NOT instantly ship unless we’ve discussed it because in canon characters are married or DEEPLY involved.
Some of my muses may NEVER be truly interested in a relationship despite having feelings for someone. I apologize for that, but I really love complicated dynamics and sometimes a muse can't accept love.
Also— please do not take me talking about a certain ship and/or writing fic or drabble about a certain ship as me trying to pressure you into it! I post a lot of Negan/Rick content, for example, but my Negan is not open to shipping and my Rick is not easy to romance! I love all kinds of dynamics.
Length. I’m not a stickler for matching length by any means, but PLEASE give me something to work with, even if it is continued from a meme. I will most likely not reply to one-liners.
Writing Multiples. I am open to playing multiple characters within a thread (NPCs included).
Characterization. My characterization of my characters is my own. Do not force your headcanons for my character on me. Several of my characters are canon-divergent.
Characterization continued. I know some of my characters are popular. I know some of my bios are long. But please at least read the snippet of “about characterization” before we thread or ask me and I will gladly tell you. I will bring it to your attention if something has been misinterpreted.
Literate. My job includes copy editing... so I don't want to write with a mass of errors. I expect my writing partners to be literate-- though of course errors happen and I'm perfectly understanding!
God Modding. Do not godmod. Do not assume things of my characters. Do not try to control the actions of my muses— NPCs I am happy to share 'custody' of. Exceptions are made for small things that help more the story forward.
Drama. I REALLY didn’t think I needed to add this. Do not, under any circumstances, involve me in your drama. Do not take our mutual status as a reason to bring me into your battles. I do not want details, I don’t want information, I will block you. Unless someone is harming REAL MINORS or doxxing people? I do not want to know your beef.
Mobile Muse List. all bios found on google site as written.
