BEETLEJUICE GRAVEYARD REVUE AU!!!!! (With art)

Im not very active on here anymore but to those that follow me on Twitter uh you know im #normal about the beetlejuice graveyard revue and I’ve been working on an au for this niche universal show for the past month.

Before we start idk if you all know what this show is so in simplest terms the Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue is a theme park show that ran in the Universal parks from 1991-2016 (in the US). In the show, Beetlejuice puts on a rock and roll show featuring the Universal Monsters HOWEVER, given that they are monsters and not hip cool rock and rollers, BJ transfunkafies the monsters into rockstars for the show (with the audiences help)

The monsters included in the show originally are:

• Dracula

• Frankenstein’s monster

• The Bride of Frankenstein

• The Wolfman

• The Phantom of the Opera

Further down the line Erik was removed and replaced with Hip and Hop, and later, Cleopatra and Phantasia. However, in this AU it’s just gonna be this set of monsters (with some appearances by Hip and Hop)

ANYWAY. THE AU. what if beetlejuice turns the universal monsters into rockstars, as per usual, but he can’t turn them back to normal afterwards. So BJ being BJ is like KACHING so he becomes their manager/ring leader and they become like an official touring band.

All the monsters retain their memories and characteristics in this change, but they get new skills and slight changes in personality in order to fit this star power vibe. They’re like chemically engineered rockstars.

Im so done with life.

First of all, Shelby needs all the support she deserves. No one should have to go through that and its absolute shit she had to. And its seriously messed up how people try their absolute hardest to find who the abuser is, rather than supporting Shelby through this and giving her the praise she deserves for standing up for herself and being brave enough to open up about this. Abuse is not something easy to talk about when you've experienced it.

Secondly, without further evidence, its not right to point fingers. Yes, Wilbur bites a lot and yes, he has rat infestation and mold in his household. So without defending Wilbur or accusing him, it'd be best to stay neutral on the whole topic until further confirmation.

‘Feel Invincible’ Wardlow (Michael) x fem!reader

^after max and ronnie beat up on michael after his lashings, michael’s fiance stays by him^

3rd Person POV:

Today was the day. Michael had to take his 10 lashings at the hands of Max. When the stipulations were agreed to, Tyler and Donovan had watched on the screen with Y/N. Donovan knew how much this made Y/N anxious as she had her tell-tale signs: fiddling with her engagement ring, biting her nails, and the constant need for him and Tyler to prevent her from going out to the ring and laying waste to Max herself. The same thing tonight, the newly formed HookHausen standing with their friend. 

Michael got in the ring and Y/N shuddered when Max spit his gum in her fiance’s face. They all knew that if he hit the little prick, it was over for Michael. When Max started hitting him repeatedly, she let go of Donovan’s hand and walked out there; the two men hot on her trail so she didn’t do anything stupid. She came out silently as the four men in the ring turned to look at her. Michael shook his head, trying to mouth for her to go back to the locker rooms; though he knew she won’t listen. She slid in the ring and went toe to toe with Max, “Hit me.” She said with fire behind her eyes. Max just smirked at her. Michael knew the little shit wouldn’t hit her but he still moved to block him from her. Max taking the opportunity to lash Michael once again. He grunted and lifted his cuffed hands to her face to sooth her. She put her hands on his wrists with tears in her eyes, “Go back with Donovan and Tyler.” “No.” she shook her head. “Baby, go. I don’t want you getting hurt.” She shook her head again, “I’m not leaving. I’ll stay at ringside. I’m not leaving you.” He kissed her forehead and their two friends helped her out of the ring. 

Two more lashes then this was over. Ronnie took one then gave the belt back to Max. The kid look directly at Y/N then hit Michael with a low blow and the two started attacking him. She fought off the grip her friends had on her and got in the ring, she slapped both of them and went to her lover on the canvas. “Michael baby, talk to me.” he just groaned. She took a bobbypin out of her hair and picked the lock on the handcuffs. They got out of the ring and went back to medical.

When they got to their hotel room, he changed into sweatpants and she helped take the upper part of his suit off. When she saw the red marks that covered his back, she had to prevent herself from crying again. “Oh Michael~” She ran her fingers over them lightly and kissed over them. He winced at first but felt at ease for the first time that night and melted into her soft lips. He turned around to look at her. One thing he hated most in life was seeing how this was affecting his girl. She wanted nothing more than to get in the ring with Max herself and put an end to this bullshit. The woman would have taken the lashes herself if she could. Little Y/N could handle pain better than most of the men on the roster. “Do they hurt?” she asked him softly. “It’s uncomfortable but bearable.” “I think I can help. Can you lie on your stomach for me?” He looked at her confused but he trusted her. She went to her bag in the bathroom for a bottle of aloe lotion, knowing it would help. She got on the bed and straddled his hips, “Please tell me if anything hurts.” He hummed in response.

She massaged the lotion into his skin gently in hopes to relieve his pain. As time went by, his breathing became calmer due to her sweet actions and the words she said, “You’re going to beat his ass. Honey, you have no clue how proud I am of you. When you’re done with him, I’ll destroy him myself.” The last statement made him laugh. “Well, I’ll get my hands on him if you don’t powerbomb him through the ring and arena.” She continued. “Maybe use that weapon on your finger?” She glanced down at her engagement ring “Nooo I can’t ruin this. He’s not worth it.” She felt him shift under her. “It would be hot to see you take him down, puppy.” “Mmhmm I’m sure.” Y/N got off of him to wash her hands and change.

Michael’s eyes never left her figure as she walked back to bed. “The guys are asking how we are. I told them we’re okay and that- What are you staring at?” Y/N had changed into one of his shirts. She stood there in just that and her panties with a bare face and side braid. Even like that, she was the most beautiful woman in the world to him. “I’m looking at my gorgeous wife.” She crawled into the bed, laying by his side. “A few more months, husband.”  A few minutes of comfortable silence passed before Michael spoke again, “Baby, thank you for everything. You’ve been making this whole situation more bearable” “My love, you don’t have to thank me. From the moment you turned on him at Revolution, I knew there would be hell to pay but that didn’t change anything. And just think: two more weeks and you are free of Max, in a few months we’ll be married, you will definitely be in the title picture. And who knows; maybe we’ll have a little one by then to watch Daddy win a title?” The last thing she said had his heart beating a little faster. “Maybe? We will. Everything will be worth it if I get to start a family with you.” The two shared a sweet kiss as sleep started to take over. “Michael, I love you so much and I will be by your side until the end.” “I love you Y/N. More than you know.” Peacefully in each other’s arms, they drifted into their dreamlands of their wedding, future family, and the happy couple taking over All Elite Wrestling.

Aside from two of my favourite ever animatics being to this (Homestuck and Hermitcraft 8) it’s such a fandom song (genuinely up there with soldier poet king in the “oh my god it’s just like my d&d party” vibe). So many stories are about averting an apocalypse or some other looming threat “I’m waking up at the start of the end of the world” and the whole song is about reflecting back on your life and that of the world around you. It’s perfect for a climatic buildup to the end of a campaign or series finale, or a summary of an entire work. “Say your goodbyes if you’ve got someone you can say goodbye to” is perfect for drawing ships or friends or siblings to, with maybe one solitary person at the end. The percussion and guitar also make it very suited to animatics - there’s perfect parts in the music to switch between frames or scenes. It’s been around since 2007 so it’s nostalgic and from the peak of amvs and animatics. Please this song fucks so hard look at all the lyrics listen to it on loop it’s so quintessential to me

the DRAMA. the STORY. the EMOTIONS. this is a song for an animatic that covers character growth and major plot points, and it does it so well! if i am invested in the fandom and watch a how far we've come animatic i already know it will change me as a person

It's the OG. I don't even know if homestuck started its popularity in the animatic scene but it was huge and it remains huge. From TAZ to (apparently, from a quick youtube search) hermitcraft, this song will tear at people's heartstrings as they think about blorbos the band has can't even imagine.

-I think Meera has a twitter and spam instagram where she complains ab her problems and wonders if she’s a lesbian in the captions of cute animal memes (im projecting) and Jojen solely uses his instagram to identify bugs and plants and sometimes rocks. Stannis has like a very professional Facebook page for his business/election campaign or whatever and he has like five followers and sometimes Robert comments under his posts while he’s drunk

3. My thoughts on their design/aesthetic alone

-god I have so many thoughts. Meera is just such a kind looking girl (and Ellie Kendrick made me gay) who dresses like a bog person and throws nets and spears 10/10 no notes I love you swamp wife. Jojen is similar but he’s a sickly swamp boy which makes me sad but it’s an interesting character design I care him. Stannis is soooo fucking good like having his brothers height and strength but none of their charisma and also he’s balding is actually hilarious. Absolute unit of a depressed man

And Stannis has never had a real friend in his life besides Maester Cressen and Davos but I think he has a grudging respect for Kevan Lannister. Dutiful second sons the both of them. Davos tries to get them to become actual friends bc he’s tired of being the only homoerotic codependent relationship Stannis has

9. Headcanons about their past

-I think Meera, not Jojen, has been raised to take over House Reed. She’s a natural leader and I’m sure Howland knows his son is gonna he paste anyway. Jojen probably used to want to become a Maester and study the higher mysteries before he got his death dreams :( Stannis was probably considered being sent to the citadel too, but I think Steffon decided he needed to stay by Roberts side to be his voice of reason which obviously turned out really well

10. Content about them I’d like to see more of

-I need more Meera fanart pretty please I miss ny baby girl. I also want fics of either her and Dany or her and Jojen and the starklings getting into shenanigans. I would love to see more Jojen dream analyses too, and posts connecting him to Cassandra and other literary references I live for that shit. Anyway, I can by no means give you a percentage, but there’s definitely a heavy amount of shipping in this fandom. I’m not going to say the majority of the fandom is shipping, but it’s prevalent enough that my friend had to put in their AMV description (Light killing L is shown in this AMV) to please not bring shipping into the comments, as a funny example lol. I mean, you’ll sometimes see fanart posts in various fandoms with “X shippers DNI” in their description. Point being that you’re gonna find shipping in any fandom. My brother just started watching a buddy cop-type anime, and I think he is avoiding the fandom partially because people are shipping the MCs. So if you don’t like shipping, then I’d just say with pretty much any fandom, if you’re on a website like Tumblr or Twitter where you can block terms and tags, do that. Block the ship names you don’t want to see, and you won’t have to deal with it most of the time (there will always occasionally be stuff that slips in). Like I said, it’s not like 90% of the Death Note fandom consists of shipping, but it’s enough that I occasionally come across Death Note porn when looking for images for posts.

Its hard 2 say but if he did like it... personally i think he'd like the most obscure, absurd, difficult to enjoy indie music he found on a dead website maybe only accessible via wayback machine. whatever he would like, red would hate it but bite his tongue about it bc he tries to be nice sometimes.

tht is something thought abt- the way tex (&terry) works is he isn't programmed to know things at all, he has to learn it all manually so he only knows languages he decides to learn or has picked up- i think its easier for him to learn languages than for a human though. no fading brain elasticity bc he does not rly have one of those (clearly). but tex knowing all languages but still rly shit at them is fun! I hate saying oh this is how it works when someone says a headcanon bc im not trying to step on ur headcanon im just sharing my lore that i think about 2 much - also terrys the hatsune miku i think, if this is the tweet!

Texs voice works (and so sounds) similarly to a human voice which is why he can play the kazoo and terry cant. he probably has a deeper sounding voice than miku but the same vocaloid or utau-ness

It’s been 4 days since Crystal left and I’ve been sulking in bed for 3. This morning Noah dragged me out of bed, tired of almost burning every meal he made for me. I really need to get that man into a cooking class.

I’ve been trying to avoid Crystal in an attempt to get over her. I feel bad but I really can’t keep feeling like Im gonna fucking burst when I see her. Noah puts on music and dances around the kitchen trying to cheer me up while I’m cooking breakfast. My phone chimes and I reach for it but Noah grabs it before me to check it.

His nose scrunches in disgust, “You need to turn off your Twitter notifications.”

I snatch my phone back and clear my notification, “I follow people that like to delete tweets so no.”

He rolls his eyes and steals a piece of bacon from the plate I set it on. I slap his hand and he smirks and bites it so I can’t take it back.

“So what do you wanna do today? And no I’m not gonna let you sit here moping over a girl you were friends with for a week. Don’t even try with me.”

I sigh and turn off the burner, “I don’t know Noah, maybe we can get some food and sit at the park?”

“Lameeeee, no. We’re going to get coffee and then we’re gonna go buy a book and go read it at the park. Sound good?”

“....why did you even ask me?”

“Wanted you to feel involved.”

I roll my eyes and start to distribute the food onto plates, “Oh well youre too kind.”

We eat quickly and head off. We get to the coffee shop and I try to convince Noah to settle at the tables but almost like he's on a schedule he pulls me along to the bookstore.

He swings our hands back and forth as we walk around the bookstore, one bluetooth earbud in my ear and one in his. 

I skim the shelves trying to find the book I’ve planned next on my to be read. I walk down the fantasy sectiona and pull own the book I’ve been looking at everytime I go through this section. My thumb brushes against the cover and the raised letters spelling out ‘The Dark Tide’

Noah tugs my arm and after telling him to stop twice I look up and see why he was pulling me away. Crystal stands an isle away looking at the shelves. I suck in a breath and start to hide but her eyes meet mine before I can leave. 

“Y/N! Hey we haven’t talked in forever, I missed you!” She pulls me into a hug and immediately the very little progress I made was gone. Like the 4 days meant nothing.

“We need to hang out soon!”

I stand frozen staring at her, the hurt is way more present than it should be this soon. Noah steps in, “Oh we uh…we’d love to but she’s pretty busy this week but I’d love to hang out with you sometime this week. You can come on my morning run with me!!! Y/n wont.”

I quickly excuse myself to the restroom and all but bring the book in there. I close the door to the single restroom and squat down on the floor, face in my hands. Even in the distressed state there is no way Im sitting on the bathroom floor.

This was a bad idea but after what was probably 10 minutes but felt like 2 Noah knocks on the door.

“Hey, guess what I got! It’s the book you wanted- surprise! You can mope in the car, you crying in the bookstore bathroom is… no. Let’s go yeah? We can run for the door”

I rub my eyes and gather myself as best I can and open the door. I look at Noah holding up the book with a smile and grab it. We rush to the door and get to the car. 

“Ya know," he says dragging out the last syllable,"I’m just gonna say it even if you get mad at me, I do not think avoiding that sweet woman is a good idea. She looked like you told her her dog died when you RAN away from her-” I cut him off with a glare, “Anyway, lets get some food and head to the park. I’m feeling sandwiches, you?”

AND, showing up in the sunday afternoon peaceful garden times zone is like a fuckyou to peter too... like a cat pissing on a tree in another cat’s territory. theres two separate sex scenes in this ending (lmaooo) but i dont even really think of this one as like. particularly sexual (or i guess i should say erotic? sex is about power blah blah) so much as ace wanting to assert power over alice and peter and like. the ghost of lorina liddell i guess. 

can you see this from heaven? if you could, would this even be the shape your heaven takes? well, in the end youre actually not here to say otherwise . so i will say it as if you’ve seen: haha lorina i am banging your sister

and i think on some level alice knows that lorina... isnt there to catch them in the act. that her objection to this isn’t “whats wrong with you, my sister could walk in on us any second!!!” but “i don’t want you to defile my perfect memories of this place, and of my perfect sister”.

-this is also like. i think one of the most explicit routes ive seen in terms of textual descriptions of things.

-and it all even started bc she was talking to peter and ace got jealous. even tho if he LISTENED a bit he’s realize she was talking abt how she chose ace.

she says he can name most of the stars she points out, but thankfully never gives names so MY CITY NOW - i think they have a lot of constellations named after things from the hunting of the snark + jabberwocky.

(which in my even deeper MY CITY NOW headcanonings is where they adopted their game-and-roleholder system from. so it’s sort of a remnant of it and a remembrance out of respect).

-i always much prefer when it's made textually clear in the moment that she wants something she verbally denies! This one seems particularly clear, i wonder if its a matter of being written years later
