you had gone out on a couple dates with parker boudreaux and thought he really liked you the way you him; until you found him saying he only wanted to hit it and quit it to his mogul embassy buddies. you ran and found yourself knocking continuously, and albeit loudly, on the door to the locker room the hardy's, isiah, and tyler. tyler had opened the door and couldn't believe his eyes: your eyes and cheeks red and swollen from crying, smudgy makeup, and tear streaks; you were seemingly out of breath from wherever you ran from. he didn't say a word. he pulled you in and sat on the couch with you. the other three men slipped out so you'd be alone. tyler wrapped his arms around you and smoothed out your hair in an attempt to calm you. "he, he-" was all you could choke out through your sobs. "when i find the motherfucker who broke your heart, i'm breaking their nose." he mumbled loud enough for you to hear. you sniffled "you can beat parker up later. tyler, just please stay with me?" tyler kissed the top of your head "of course, buzzy. i'm right here."

“I never said that you did lady.”

“But you thought it. I know because, even though the people here don’t think it, I know the position I’m in. I know that an amnesiac nobody can be a step away from breaking down, but that’s not the case with me. I did not try to drown myself. I-I just didn’t.” The girl almost whispered, and yet it felt as if she just yelled at the doctor.

Here’s a little preview of something I’ve been working on to (hopefully) make up for it 🥺

JJ found that he couldn’t speak. If he did, he’d have to get the words past the lump in his throat, and there was no way he’d be able to do that without totally losing it. He could already feel the pricking at the corners of his eyes, and the unsteady rattle in his breath.

So instead, he merely nodded and watched as Kiara’s shoulders sagged in relief, her hand moving from his cheek to his clenched jaw. She rubbed at something there, brows pinched together in a frown and then held her hand up to show him the dark patch smudged on the very tip of her finger. He had to lean forward to get a good look at it in the darkness, but it seemed like—

“Soot,” she clarified, her lips pulling up into a small smile that he had no right to find so cute, not at a time like this anyway. Even in this moment, against the backdrop of their burning home, as sweaty as hell and covered head to foot in soot and little bits of ash, she was still as pretty as ever. Beautiful.

Kiara looked at him expectantly, like she was waiting for him to say something. The sight of her hopeful expression caused a warm feeling to tug firmly in his chest. There it was again; that odd sensation of his heart seizing and his breath being stolen away, but not in the bad way he’d grown accustomed to. This seemed different; pleasant, even. He wasn’t entirely sure what it meant, but he wanted to feel it again.

He smirked a little to cover up the frantic leaping of his heart, trying his best to keep the mood light and as far away from his feelings as possible. “Well,” he said eventually, keeping his eyes trained on her hand to avoid meeting her gaze and revealing something he’d been fighting so hard to keep hidden. “I��ve always been a dirty, dirty boy.” Ah yes, humour. The old reliable.

The joke was terrible. Definitely not his finest work, that was for sure, but it did its job. Kiara cracked a small, genuine grin and rolled her eyes at him. A gesture so familiar that for a second he almost forgot they were sprawled on the lawn next to the charred remains of the Chateau and not sharing a joint in the hammock on a random Friday night. Almost.

Biggest hindrance of Doctor Who being a family show is that it ends up preventing authenticity. By which I specifically mean there's no damn way that Donna's response to some of the things The Doctor says wouldn't have been "Fuck off."

Ten definitely would have finished saying ‘You spilled the coffee!’ - the argument would have escalated. It would have gone on, both of them bickering back and forth until Ten more than likely would have said something so hurtful that Donna would have broken down. Because this is older Donna - she is still as fierce but she’s softer. She has a family waiting for her.

But Fourteen stops himself, realising it’s pointless putting blame on anyone, steps away and apologises. He’s thinking about Donna and the situation they’re in and THAT is the difference. Ten would have finished that sentence… Fourteen doesn’t out of love and consideration.

thinking about how dostoyevsky wrote “the awful thing is that beauty is mysterious as well as terrible,” and when tartt wrote "beauty is terror, whatever we call beautiful, we quiver before it" and how they are right — the most striking (literary) images of all are always the ones where the subjects are bloody and death-touched.
