Not to be dramatic or anything but the KH2 prologue is one of the best video game things in the history of forever

Positively obsessed with the idea that the reason Winter King was grabbing and touching Simon all the time was because Simon was warm and WK missed that aspect of being human

sometimes, only sometimes, i think back to the moment when scanlan came back to vox machina — and they had their first night in the scanlan's magnificent mansion after a long while — and scanlan played cards with vax while catching up on things that happened during the year they've been apart — and vax said i am happy and it took scanlan by such surprise he asked again as if he wasn't sure he had heard him right.
the last thing he remembered of vax was him on a really low point, mirrored by his own, filled with pain, guilt, fear and a myriad of unknown troubles atop of that. and then he left to fix himself, find his own, and vax had a moment to do this too, it seems, and scanlan was so happy for him. so happy and so sad he wasn't there to witness it. yet, still happy.
and to think, as i do sometimes, that scanlan wanted vax — now healed, happy vax — to live, to have more time and yet, was forced to choose in a matter of moments between the whole world and a little percent chance of saving his friend. it's so cruel that it happened to be him to make that decision.
it's so cruel that it's sam who had to give up a ninth level spell to stop the mad god and not to save liam's character.
sometimes i just think and sometimes i think i shouldn't...

tbh still thinking about these tags, re: my Relvin's Life is a Tragedy post:
#godddd like I do think liliana's a lost cause at this point if primarily cuz it's just too late#but like if you don't want ludinus dead for taking advantage of this tragedy ALONE#idk how to fuckin help you. just do not know. (@essektheylyss)
Because like. It's so simple but so cutting. What Ludinus is doing has a million more micro-effects than the macro ones we're seeing. It's not just that he wants to kill the gods, it's about the minor (if they can be called that) wreckages he's leaving in his path toward that goal. Broken families. Homes that should be warm and full of life. People who should still be there but are instead lost or dead or subsumed by this goal. There's a world where Imogen got to grown up with a mother. There's a world where Relvin had reason to keep all the kitchen chairs, or maybe even add a few extra. There's a world that could have had less pain in it. And that simple tragedy is so, so cutting. Even if, for some reason, you think the gods deserve to be eaten, do you think Imogen deserved to grow up with family? Do you think Bor'dor deserved better than manipulation and indoctrination in a cult? It's not just the gods being hurt. There are so many minute, human tragedies every day because of this.

It's been over a week since I finished The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, yet I'm still thinking about how Suzanne Collins literally pulled a reverse Pyramus and Thisbe with Snow finding Lucy Gray's scarf.
Just something about Thisbe's scarf leading both of them to kill themselves for each other, while Lucy Gray's leads them to try to kill each other for themselves.

If the romance doesn't have the same amount of chemistry as whatever pride n prejudice pulled with that rain scene, I don't want it.

Thinking about my Southern/Rancher Sweetheart hc. And also thinking about Milo and Sweetheart visiting Sweetheart's family at the family ranch. And thinking about Milo watching Sweetheart fall in love with their hometown again. And thinking about Sweetheart telling him how they used to compete in rodeos. And thinking about them entering a rodeo for funsies. And thinking about Sweetheart spending every day practicing. And thinking about Milo falling (somehow) even more in love with Sweetheart. And thinking about an incident happening (or a close call or something) and Sweetheart wanting to go home. And thinking about Milo not understanding. And Sweetheart having to tell him what happened when they were younger. And Milo understanding, saying that they could leave first thing in the morning. And thinking about someone convincing Sweetheart to stay for the rodeo. And thinking about Sweetheart crushing it. And thinking about Sweetheart coming to terms with both their homes, and that they were loved in both places, and-
