Qui-Gon: …your sleeping bag? Oh, I assumed you used that for camping in the room of a thousand fountains, do you usually sleep in that at night?

Obi-Wan: ??? No? No I use it sometimes but you’re right, that’s for camping nights. I mean my sleepy cocoon?

Qui-Gon: …what is a sleep cocoon?

Obi-Wan: It’s… it’s a stretchy fabric that goes over you?

Qui-Gon: …gimme a second, I don’t think I saw anything like that in your bags.

Creche Master: Is something wrong with Padawan Kenobi settling in?

Qui-Gon: Um, he’s missing something that I don’t think I’ve seen. He called it his sleepy cocoon?

Creche Master: Oh! That went into the laundry this morning, it probably got delivered back to us, I’ll have it sent right away.

Qui-Gon: Um, I need to ask… what is a sleepy cocoon?

Creche Master: *snort* It’s an anti-grav sleeping tube. It’s a compression material so he doesn’t feel it when he starts to float in his sleep. He’s too close to the cosmic force to control it, so they give him the compression tube.

Qui-Gon: …you’re saying he disobeys gravity in his sleep, so the tube makes him stop realizing it?

Creche Master: Yeah, it’s pretty important, actually. It keeps his joints in place. No cricks in his neck or dead arms if they start to fall.

Qui-Gon: Amazing. A straight jacket for his cosmic force abilities. I adore it. Please send it here. He can get out of it on his own, right?

Creche Master: Oh course, it’s just pressure, not actually being tied up.

Went with both their true form, as well as a human form to blend in on earth. Anyway I like this guy so theyre mine now :)👍

#thought it’d be fun to use blues for the star colors rather than yellow #both to enhance the cosmic feel but to also create a contrast w the human appearance which is much warmer #blue stars are hotter than yellow stars right? so it feels fitting #I feel like this ver of star could very easily develop a wish on their own to be a fully actualized person on earth #rather than being a cosmic entity who can only passively interact w the wish makers #if we go w the idea that each person has an assigned wishing star then this could maybe be Aisha’s star #and she’s never made a wish til now and star boy has been growing restless #I thought it’d be cool if one of the villains was a star coming to earth as well. and the wish granting is to maintain their place on earth #then we could have parallels between our heroes and villains. the human wishing to keep their star w them #idk man. twelvegate is super fun and I love reading posts/theories about Will and El being bio twins but I also love the idea of there being a fantasy/sci-fi divide between Will and El’s powers. El’s powers while still supernatural is rooted in sci-fi tropes and lore while Will’s are steeped in fantasy tropes and lore. El has psionic abilites while Will has magic. El is the science experiment gone rogue while Will is the wizard. El’s powers were born out of men in science meddling where they shouldn’t have while Will was born completely out of chance because of ancient magic of the universe.

#ramblings #the end of Return of the King gave me many OC Thoughts and now you're going to hear them #might veto the whole 'Funney Big Weapon Guy is also psychic' thing for Sid Sibyl #won't fully un-magic him just cuz i made it a common thing in the setting but like. i might still nerf him a little in that aspect #his whole schtick is that he is aggressively Just A Guy #he's very persistent. won't come back from a job until he found the last crate that fell off the merchant's wagon or whatever #very good at sword-fighting. cuz he trains and spars a lot and eats like a furnace to keep up his strength #his 'high pain tolerance' is something im self-inserting where i won't notice injuries until later. a bit oblivious. just keeps on truckin #an altogether formidable combo but. he is so much Just A Guy #no super strength no immunities no super-charged magic. not even a cursed weapon to give him a leg up #he finally visits his home again and it's confusing why it's not the same as he remembers it- #-when he should have much more in common with old neighbors and vendors at the market than with his cosmically superpowered friends #old sights and sounds and some friends that give him a warm welcome-back but... it's not the same. it's not home. not anymore #from the moment he chose his path he could never go back home #and I feel like the tragedy of that would be undercut if i gave him something like future-vision or a magical sword
