He's definitely one of the more cuddly ones, too, so when he hugged her at the expo that moment was so sweet and intimate... physical touch must be one of his love languages. I love my men a little possessive, and I DO remember the whole perilla leaf debate (wild) and Tae being like that both irl AND in Trouvaille is just so... you know? Jeongguk - fhdjasf our little edgelord! Ah his birthday was so self indulgent, fluffy, and a chance to see his softer side under all that iciness he usually displays. I think the longer time wears on, he'll let go of more of that frostiness and become more comfortable showing Y/N his tender side. fjdksa I forgot about the scene where he offered her a cigarette at Hoseok's meet-- such a twerp!! I love love love scary movies, and I feel like him maybe Yoongi are the only two that would actually wanna watch a horror film with me IRL, or Y/N in Trouvaille. Hoseok is a bit of a scaredy cat, and the rest of them put that off a little bit as well LOL. And for sure, there really isn't anything that can be hidden in that house anymore, there are ears literally everywhere.... bad news for someone who likes to talk shit, like me. But that's an example of Jeongguk being uncharacteristically sweet, agreeing to help Y/N even if he doesn't have to. Joon was so pissed when she didn't call out for him when she was threatened, but Y/N handled everything just fine, IMO, he was being a dramatic wolf.

You know I love a good cliffhanger!!! I can't not have one almost every time. Hopefully, this time, the conflict can be resolved quickly, and it isn't as bad as The Incident between Joon and Tae. We shall see-- or you may have already seen, in this newest update!! Hey i really love your blog!!! I just plucked the courage to actually send u an ask fhdjhd but GOSH i love your video edits and your gifs and your meta article posts, you're so articulate and you can explain/describe moments in a way that makes me go "oh wow, i cant believe i haven't seen it that way before!!" Haha ANYWAYS i'm just here to say that i completely agree with what all u said, Free creators might do a lil fanservice here and there for the 25 ships that exists within the fandom's circle, but rinharu's storyline is clearly the most romantic one! And i'd argue it's the one closest to being canon esp after part 1, i mean the fact that they put such an explosive emotional outburst right at the end of the second to the last movie means a lot. It's like reinforcing the fact that this series has always been about them, and everything that has happened only happened either because they met or they grew appart and miss eachother. I kinda feel like maybe.. juust maayyybe there's a chance KA wants to make the ship canon, since it's the last movie and they want to end it on a highnote maybe (bcs honestly i think the only reason they've been holding back is purely bcs of the merch sales, since they don't have a problem showing a wholesome lesbian love story in kobayashi maid dragon) butt i could be wrong, maybe i'm just overly optimistic and delusional, they could somehow ruin it and give an ending that panders to all the ships again 😅🥲, but at least there's a clear-cut guarantee that part 2 would dedicate a large portion of it fixing rin and haru's fight!!! I'm fine with (those do not include Rin or Haru in them xD), but I just mostly don't care, bc after reading all the stuff, you can see that in some of those to one the other one is actually like his second option, which I just do not like. Others I just don't even see, bc again to me who witnessed great close male friendships and having two sisters who I'm very close to, I just do not see anything romantic in that.

It's not just Free! tbh, it's like any sports anime these days. They see two guys walking together, it's a ship. And like no one cares if they're just bros. Like I'd get i they did some fanservice fanservice, but like I never saw anyone in Free! crossing the line the way rinharu do. I can without thinking much name you 10 rh moments that no matter how hard you think can't be explain as being bros, but can't name one when it comes to others. I just find some ppl shipping everyone with everyone weird sometimes. It's like western fans see like some eastern actors or singers slap each other ass lovingly and they're like "oh they're fucking" I'm like "yeah, ofc all 500 of them, you're absolutely right". And Free! doesn't do anything even like that, I just do not get sometimes like what moment even brought on some ships. I'm genuinely confused. Albert and Haru? Yeah, I eel you about "going there". I mean seeing part of it, it just kinda cemented my confusion, bc I do not get how it can be considered platonic. We were just discussing since yesterday with @freeseafirefly how I now even more perplexed and do not understand how they will resolve it without going into relationship territory. It's just our point here is that like... no one forced them to go there (I mean its not like this whole fandom has some wild expectations or anything already), we were waiting or our usual friendship and swimming and maybe tiny conflict about struggles of pro-careers and some usual rh implications (maybe all the rh gay in dramas as always). Not some pure fanfiction coming to life here haha.

Like why I'm laughing is bc I twice used in my "fics" bringing up him leaving Haru as a force to push the confession, bc there's no way if he adresses this it won't lead to this. And now we not only have this (bc Haru just basically layed it out there), but an actual scene of him playing on their feelings for each other and a literal image of Rin leaving and "taking Haru's heart with him" to the point when he's for the first time in his life openly crying on the ground. And it's not like this scene can be interpreted as anything else, the whole fandom talks same, bc the whole fight was just about them, what Haru said was just about them, there's a literal boom of his heart getting out of his chest, before he falls and now he's heartless.

So our question is like... why go there?

It's like some say that they might still resolve it with "they're special to each other" and swimming, but still like we already knew that, there was no reason to go that far is what I'm saying. And to think that it was planned since forever giving the clues is like... ???

The whole spoon theme also throw me on the loop because like, lets be honest, it's wedding themed. And that part of the interview about part 2 there also made me go...?????? Because I mean, huh?

This is just all in all very interesting turn of events to say the least. I do not see the point of all of this if its not what I think it is, esp after seeing tweets like "even I see a rh wedding and I'm mh T_T". It's just all very unsubtle, that's why we're confused.

Like who knows, maybe we'll really by some magic turn of events get lucky and they really decided that since its the ending, it's okay to go for it. But I also don't wanna to hype myself much, I'm already really happy with it, just bc again, this scene already proves all of my points.

it’s so funny that now we’re at the point where it seems like wai will need more redemption than korn 😭 i was looking at my list of things i wanna see in bad buddy post again and just laughed a little. so i’ll call korn’s “redemption”, his character development from now since it seems more fitting.

like you said, i also don’t want korn’s character development to be the result of his feelings for wai (that is if he even has any… the show hasn’t given any major signs they’ll go that route). i’d like to think that we can see a more mature side of him and pat’s other friends without all that and i have a good feeling about this after that preview for ep 8 :) fingers crossed.

as for wai’s redemption, i feel the same way. i don’t want them to brush all his negative traits under the rug just cuz he’s caught feelings for someone. i want the character arc to happen on his own accord. though i guess, the argument can be made that why cant having feelings for someone motivate us to want to become a better person? what’s so wrong about that? i guess that leads me to give you the inconclusive answer of: well yes but also no. do i want feelings = redemption? no. but has bad buddy spoon fed me stuff (flashbacks ahem) i didn’t previously like and made me realize “huh this isn’t so bad” ? also yes. so i am open to it if done well!

now that there’s less violence in the show lol i feel the same way about waikorn being a potential ship that i used to feel about inkpaa and that is: i’ll support it if i see chemistry! i know many shipped inkpaa before ep 7 but i needed that episode to really go “omg ok i am for this!” (please let them be canon). now there’s the issue of having time to develop all these side ships, which i personally think they don’t have enough of. with how complicated patpran’s story is about to get, getting 1 developed side ship is already gonna be hard so 2? hm it seems difficult. *thinks about why r u where we had like a ton of ships but only 2 were memorable*.

and the last topic i need to cover, waipaa ~ do i want it ? no i’d rather have inkpaa. i have a hard time believing paa will show any interest in wai at any point in this show so it makes it easy for me to choose sides. i found it cute however how wai was starstruck by paa and i wasn’t as weirded out by the whole ordeal as most people seem to be. i guess it was called straightbaiting? but if we find out that either paa or wai are also interested in men (which the viewers are already implying for wai when they say waikorn may be a thing), this crush situation wouldn’t be straightbaiting, now would it be? it would be bi/pan/etc rep. correct me if i’m looking at this the wrong way!

the cafe you guys agreed to meet at was only a short walk away from your apartment. you were almost at the cafe when you noticed the time again and it was already 10 MINUTES PAST 1! you were so scared that he thought you stood him up but as you got closer, you noticed a cute boy sitting by himself outside. you stared at his backside for a little, unsure if this was your mystery boy. so you messaged him on the app

You were kind of shocked by his beautiful smile and his spiky hair. It took you a while to respond as you tried to take in the wonderful sight in front of you. He was simply breath taking. You could tell he was the athletic type by the way his shirt hung onto his broad, toned shoulders. 

“Ummm... L/n? Are you okay? Do you want any coffee or sweets from the cafe?”

“OH, oh my god, I’m so sorry! I got distracted..” you said as you looked away from him, getting redder by the second. you hadn’t even noticed his compliment or the way he kept eyeing you up and down and licking his lips. “Yeah, I’d love to get a coffee, if you don’t mind. Please..”

His eyes snapped back up to yours. “Awesome, I’ll go order inside. You can just sit your pretty little self here while I do that. Don’t run away! I’ll be right back!”

now that you had some time to reflect on what the heck just happened.. you breathed a sigh of relief. You couldn’t believe that he was real and so goddamn gorgeous. His little tuft of blonde hair at the front of his head was so cute and his smile.. goddamn. the way he looked at you.. and his friendly demeanor. it was all so much to take in. you didn’t really know how to react. as soon as you had relaxed, you tensed back up as he came back and sat down with you.

“Here’s your coffee hot and ready just for you, hun”

“Thank you so much Nishinoya” you blushed a bit as your mouth pronounced his name

“Hey, just call me Noya! Or Yuu...”

“On a first name basis already?”

“Only if you want to..”

you giggled as you noticed that he was getting bright pink too. “Okay, Yuu.”

as soon as you said his first name, his eyes lit up and that bright pink hue on his face soon turned into a passionate red

“Soooo..” you said as you tried to break up the silence.. “what do you do? do you go to school?”

“Yeah! I’m going to start going to Sendai University in the fall! I’m going to be playing on the volleyball team! How about you?”

“No way.. I’m gonna go there too! I guess I’ll be seeing you around probably. And wow! Volleyball huh? That’s hot.”

when you said that last part, Noya almost spat out his coffee. you laughed at the look on his face. he was blushing so much he couldn’t keep still. you were almost afraid he would just run away from you and never come back.

He just tried to regain his composure and laughed. “You really got me there oh my god i almost choked. But yeah I can’t wait to play again.”

The rest of the afternoon you guys talked about everything from anime to your favorite season, to your least favorite horror movie. The more you two bonded over common interests, the more he let his wild side out. He became more rambunctious and fiery and this did things to you, to say the least. you checked your phone to check the time and it was already 6:45 pm. You had no clue as to when the sun had started setting, but it didn’t matter because you hadn’t felt this warm fuzzy feeling in your heart in a while. it felt so nice. you didn’t want it to end. but then noya interrupted your thought by saying, 

“Hey, (y/n)..” you two were on a first name basis already and it was just the first date. “it’s getting pretty late and I have to go home and help out my family with some stuff. I hope you don’t mind. Sorry! But we can definitely go out again if you want. i know i sure do..”

“Yes, of course! I totally get it. But first can I get your number?” you look away as you say this because this was the first time you’ve ever asked a guy for their number. 

you two exchange phone numbers and hug goodbye. you let the hug linger for a little longer than you should and plant a quick soft peck on his cheek and say,

“I can’t wait to see you again, Yuu.”

He just smiles and replies, “Me too, Y/n. I’ll see you again soon, babe.”

You freeze up and don’t know what to say as he walks away. you think to yourself, “did he really just call me babe?”

okay so since i couldn’t resist, here’s some info about my random ie:go steven universe!au because i have no energy for online lessons :)

also i didn’t want to post about another au since @/primsbean is making so many posts about her ie:go madoka magica!au which i fUCKING LOVE OHMYGOD- but yeah, alternate universes are my favorite snacc. i have another one to talk about but first let’s say things about the SU one <3

under the cut because it’s LONG - and remember i’m not a native english so i might do some mistakes

okay so first of all, don’t blame me if there will be some events that don’t follow the plot (since i’m NOT remaking steven universe with ie charas!!!!! please keep this in mind) or events that Rebecca Sugar would have never inserted in her show. I respect everyone who worked at steven universe, and my intention is not to say their plot/story was bad, i’m just adding something that did never happen with any chara in the su series to make my au more original, that’s it. peace and love oN THE PLANET EARTH- okay that was the best su song hands down

also keep in mind gems don’t have “gemmic” names (if you know just a little of the su series, you should know all the gems are named after their gem, but i wont give that kind of names to the ie boys - or should i call them gems then? lol)

all the gems - for now - will be males too (as there werent any og male gems in steven universe besides steven, which is an hybrid though so...)

i will list each chara’s gem and ability after the general plot <3

so, the actual protags (though all the charas are!!! these are the two) are Tenma and Fey, who are around 5,000 years old - please if you don’t remember how the gems’ years worked go search it up, there are so many threads about that - and protect inazuma city (insert shooked face) from corrupted gems’ attacks. these attacks are not really frequent and they seem to deal with the situation, but one day they start increasing, being more frequent than usual and also the gems who attack are stronger and different from the previous ones. Fey starts making a theory about a possible new attempt of the homeworld gems (i still haven’t decided which charas will “represent” them, though, since this plot is a kind of season 1 we could say??) to start colonizing Earth via war, as they already did 3,500 years before the current events but failed, with the terrestrial gems rejecting them but also losing a lot of them - since some of them got shattered during the war and others escaped to travel to other planets to start colonizing them theirselves so they could live a new, pacific life. Tenma, at first, isn’t that sure about what Fey said, but as the corrupted gems’ attacks kept increasing he realized he could have been right. as they’re the only two gems who protect their city, they start thinking they should ask help to someone, trying to find more powerful gems. 

Fey suggests to search for a trio (whose name is still not 100% sure... i randomly thought about Prism Trio just because I couldn’t remake Crystal Gems ahahah I still don’t know) which protect old war ruins in a forgotten area which is actually near Inazuma City though - but still, only some gems know about it, for example Fey did researches but Tenma knew nothing. This trio will be formed by your local ie:go chaotic trio aka Shindou, Kirino and Kariya (well, if i don’t get any more ideas for the name, then Gay Trio will be alright), who are respectively 7,600, 8,000 and 7,100 years old and actually fought in the first war. They find them fighting against a corrupted fusion, and try to join them to finish it easily and fastly. As they actually give the trio a good help, they still get scolded by them because they went in an area they shouldn’t have been to. However, the trio is still thankful to them for their help, and when Fey tells them about the situation in Inazuma City Shindou replies telling him his theory might be right as he had heard about the increasing attacks, also because the ruins were more attacked than usual in that period. Tenma kindly asks them if they could give their help back, coming with him and Fey and trying to reject the attacks together, even though he thought they’d never agree. Kirino is absolutely okay with that and shows positivity towards Tenma’s idea, while Kariya isn’t that sure since all of them should get used to a new routine, different from the one they were used to in the last millenniums. Shindou, who was neutral at the beginning, proved Kirino right since that would have been the best way to know more about the new attacks, and finally convinces Kariya to join them.

As they get in TenFey’s temple (which is the only thing IDENTICAL to the original SU one, except for the statue in the original version which is absent now), they start organizing their rooms (you know, in the temple there was that one door who led to each gem’s personal room, so the trio starts get used to them), they also keep fighting against new species of corrupted gems who keep attacking the city.

One day, then, all the five gems get to another ruins area, further from the ones the trio used to fight in, and at a moment Tenma remains alone and encounters... bepreparedtocringeihadnoideassorry... Sasuke. Yes, I did a Lion reference using Tenma’s dog instead. Original af, congrats. BY THE WAY,, he understands this gIaNt DoG (ohmygod the lion sounded better,, damn me and my dumb ideas) is related to gems somehow, and when he gets back - since Sasuke disappears after some seconds - tells the others about it, but everyone gets it as a joke and doesnt trust him. In the next fight, though, Sasuke approaches the gems and gives them help (still idk how, gotta rewatch all the lion episodes 382679345 times to get more ideas), so they all understand Tenma was right.

Some days after that, while Tenma is playing with Sasuke (gOOD BOY,,,,, I MEAN GEM,,,,,,,,,,), the dog drags him into a portal/warp (did i spell it good omg my english gets worse every day...) - just as lion sometimes does in the og series, lol - and since this warp keeps being open for some seconds, the other four gems enter it as Tenma might be in trouble alone. They all discover Sasuke led Tenma to an unknown area, which i wanted to be a desert bUT THAT LOOKS A LOT LIKE THE OG SERIES HOLY SHI- so okay, let’s make it a normal land, where there’s a fight going on. They notice a gem fighting a corrupted one all alone, and this gem seems really in need of help so they try everything to save him (oMg SpOiLeRs ThE gEm Is A mALe ToO!!11!!!111!) as they see he doesn’t have any weapon and only fights with the things he finds around himself, such as common rocks. That gem is no one else (???) than Hikaru *cries in i needed to add him hes so baby* who tells the five gems he had never seen such a powerful corrupted gem before and that he was used to reject the previous attacks in that zone more easily, and when Tenma asks him if he wants to come with him and the others to the temple Hikaru accepts without any doubt. As he gets to the temple, the others ask him if he has any weapon, but he tells them he never had the strenght to “develop” one. Perhaps, his ability (the only i’ll reveal here in the plot!!) is really useful, as he can generate light from his gem and make people and other gems blind for a limited amount of time - which, at the beginning, is really short but always increasing. He also wants to practice it as he wants to control the limit of time (for example, blinding people/gems just for a minute even if he could do for ten). When he shows his ability to the other gems, they all get blind... besides Kariya and here the ship sails *coughs* n-nothing, who is actually immune to the light’s effect. Being the only one who doesnt get blind, he starts helping Hikaru to develop his weapon.

I still haven’t thought about the rest of the plot, but there are still three characters I wanted to add. In order: Kyousuke, as an hybrid whose backstory will be way different from Steven’s in the og series (as he wasn’t born an hybrid, neither one of his parents was a gem), then Minaho and Manabe who are gems from another planet (not Homeworld, though) that are usually fused all the time... but, still, I have to think abt a plot ahah

Btw, before I go, here’s the gems’ weapons and abilities as I promised! <3

Tenma: bow and arrow, he can control the wind

Fey: he basically makes grow poisonous creepers from everywhere (kind of inspired from Lapis in the og series as she generated water and could control it), controls nature in general

Shindou: sword, his voice can reach really high pitches so if he screams he can destroy things (and, maybe, he could start shattering gems too... who knows)

Kirino: lance, has a really high speed

Kariya: basically can make strong claws grow from his hands (idk how to describe it holy fuck,,, i cant draw either, if i could i’d have showed u), his ability is telekinesis

Hikaru: well, i don’t wanna spoil his weapon as i’m gonna make another post asap... i already said what his ability was, btw. also!! i didnt mention it before, but his age is around 3000 y/o

Kyousuke: katana, he can read any person’s mind for ten minutes if he had contact with them, same goes with gems but he must touch their gem in order to read their mind (age, in human years: 17)

Minaho: guns, he can understand if someone or something interacted with someone/something else just by smelling it (sounds cringe ik,, btw his age is the same as Manabe’s, 6,700)

Manabe: since i had no more ideas, don’t blame me if this sounds Peridot-ish, but he can actually generate small but powerful robots he can control and fight with, his ability is controlling technology in general.

Another last thing... these nine characters are the same of the other au i mentioned (which is way more calm than this,,, i also have more info abt that, too), so look forward to that too <3

If you were Steven Moffat and you could write rivers timeline, what would you change? I’m super interested to see if you’d change anything about TWoRS

First of all, I am Steven Moffat.

Second of all, I wouldn’t rewrite her timeline as much as I’d rewrite how much of that timeline we get to see.

Her out of sequence, complex, and chaotic life is a big reason why I love River Song. She was given a hard backstory and yet was never hardened by it. 

As much as I love Moff, er, myself, not giving River more screen time was a disservice to her story and to the S6 arc as a whole. It would have added clarity had she been a part of team tardis on a more permanent basis for season 6 rather than just those episodes involving her story arc.

So, let’s use the Wedding of River Song as an example of how limited screen time affected clarity. 

1) Context has to be pieced together by the viewer. From episode 1 to episode 13 you’ve got a couple arc stories and many filler episodes. Personally, I love that it’s not mindless television, and that you have to think a little, but it can be a lot of work sometimes! For people who watch casually, the episode on its own can seem ridiculous and confusing. It is often interpreted as River being selfish and overly obsessed with the Doctor to the point of letting the universe die, when it couldn’t be further from the truth if you understand it in context.

First, The Wedding of River Song utilises a young River. It’s not the good ‘ol confident River that we know and love, but baby River who has recently regenerated from Mels and is trying her best not to kill the Doctor again. lol She’s just graduated college where she’s been trying to learn everything she can about her own history and about who the Doctor really is. This is where she starts to understand him. Through stories and research. Is he “the demon” that Kovarian told her about? Or is he the “good man” her parents told her about, the one who saves people?

Archaeology teaches her so much. Not just about him but about her future and what they’ll mean to each other. We see just how deeply she’s researched their life together in the Husbands of River Song, when she brings up their last night, “there are stories about us you know.” To clear up a BIG misconception— River was never trying to find out where the Doctor was! She never stalked him or followed him around like a lovesick puppy. Every time we see them onscreen together it’s because they’ve sent each other a calling card. Space Mail, texted, sent Rory with a personal invite, written on psychic paper, left books, etched coordinates into cliff faces or onto pottery etc. They call on each other.

River never follows the Doctor around. EVER. In fact, the only time she does follow him is not to interact with him but to steal his TARDIS. #yes

Anyway, River graduates and Madam Kovarian puts River back in the suit. But River had changed. Her studies and her experience in Let’s Kill Hitler helped River kick off the conditioning. She was the child of the TARDIS, her parents loved her, the Doctor loved her, and she was not some church’s assassin. She was River Song.

So River hijacks the weapons system and is all, “um. not today!”

YES. It’s a fixed point, but she wants to buy some time.

Why? 

Well, the answer to this question isn’t to force the doctor to marry her so he can restart time. She just needs time to find a way out.

“But how can you possibly know all of this!” You all cry. 

Because of what transpires off screen (shakes fist!). WE DO NOT GET TO SEE IT and that’s the real tragedy here. This is what I would change! Because it would explain SO MUCH. 

What happens offscreen? Well, River and Amy, (but mostly River) have been working on a distress beacon for a months! 

Say what? 

YEE. It’s been a hella while. So long in fact that they’ve captured Kovarian, held the Silence inside watery thingies, organised an army and planned a rescue mission!

I mean, the Doctor has been chained up in the Tower of London by Winston Churchill for so long that HE HAS A FULL BEARD YO, so it’s been A WHILE. 

With all this time to problem solve and experiment, River has realised that the universe cannot sustain the paradox, and that this fixed point cannot be rewritten. And she comes to terms with the reality that she has to kill the Doctor if the universe is to be restored. So what does she do? SHE BUILDS A DISTRESS BEACON. One that transmits a single message, “the doctor is dying, please, please help.”

Ok! so let me get this straight…

KNOWING FULL WELL THAT NO ONE CAN HELP. THAT THE DOCTOR MUST DIE IN ORDER TO SAVE THE UNIVERSE. River builds a distress beacon asking for help? WHAT? W H A T? Why would she do that? If she knows it’s not going to make a difference?

WELL. ONE PURPOSE. But I’ll get to that in a little bit.

THEY FINALLY SEND OUT THE RESCUE MISSION AND RESCUE THE DOCTOR. But why wait so long? They obviously have the capacity to do it at any time.

Simple! 1) THE BEACON NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED 2) IT NEEDS TO TRANSMIT FOR A WHILE & 3) INTERGALLACTIC PEEPS NEED TIME TO RESPOND

By the time The Wedding of River Song begins, all of the above has happened!

HURRAY.

So they go get the fool. 

But when the Doctor arrives he’s immediately combative. Time is dying and “HE” NEEDS to fix it. Ate egomaniac. So he did the only thing he knows will start time: touch River. But River’s all like, ‘DUDE CAN YOU WAIT ONE SEC?! LIKE, come on.’ So River has him cuffed. She’s not trying to kill the universe, she just doesn’t want them touching prematurely. He’s pissed because she’s messed up his plan and she’s annoyed af because he won’t put aside his ego for once second and listen to her. Finally they’re at the top of the pyramid and he’s all, “omg what is this? a distress beacon? oooo cool. no wait, i’m angry, this isn’t going to help! i have to die!” and River’s all, “SHUT UP” and FINALLY! HE LISTENS.

This is where it gets good, she doesn’t say, “we can fix it” or “let’s just stay here and live out our lives”  or “marry me and we can touch” NOPE, she says

River: Those reports of the sun spots and the solar flares. They’re wrong. They’re aren’t any. It’s not the sun. It’s you. The sky is full of a million million voices, saying, “Yes of course. We’ll help.” You’ve touched so many lives, saved so many people. Did you think when your time came you’d really have to do more than just ask? You’ve decided that the universe is better off without you. But the universe doesn’t agree.

The Doctor: River, no one can help me. A fixed point has been altered. Time is disintegrating.

River: I can’t let you die—

The Doctor: But I have to die!

River: Shut up! I can’t let you without knowing you are loved. By so many and so much. And by no one more than me.

EXQUEEZE ME? That’s a full sentence right there. NOT, “I CANT LET YOU DIE.” But, “I CANT LET YOU DIE WITHOUT KNOWING THAT YOU’RE LOVED. BY SO MANY.”

That’s it. River knows that he has to die, and she knows that she has to be the one to do it. She built a beacon, not to save him, or hold him hostage, or force him to choose her, but to show the Doctor how much the universe loves him. How much she loves him. SO MANY space peeps responded to the beacon that their space ships lit up the sky like stars. How beautiful is that? It’s the opposite of The Big Bang when they all came to kill him.

Anyway – Right after she tells him this, RIGHT AFTER SHE EXPLAINS, she’s like, “OK, I’ll do it bro but it’s gonna hurt me.” She’s ready to do the one thing she doesn’t want to do. Because she loves him, and proceeds to do exactly what the Doctor asks of her.

But the Doctor also has a revelation: He marries River Song.

his face, it’s like the blindfold has been lifted, “this. this is the woman i would marry.” I don’t think he really knew before - as flirty and ‘friendly’ and kissy as they were, I don’t think he knew how much he could love her. Enough to wholeheartedly commit to another person, one he’s already lost. And when she tells him “I’ll suffer more than every living thing combined but I’ll still kill you so the universe can survive,” it’s her strength and her heart that makes him go: “Whoa. Yep. She’s everything.” And he’s done doing it alone. Because he’s not alone. He has always had this beautiful and selfless wife, the whole time. THE WHOLE TIME. and it was about time she knew it. So instead of being the stupid boob he is, he asks for her help. The ‘im going solo cuz im clever’ dude says ‘to hell with me’ for the woman he loves. And finally, without any reservations, marries his wife.

BOOM. 

Done. They’re in it together. ALL IN.

It’s a great story. It’s a grand love story. I cry.

QUESTION 1. What is your favorite scene in the comic so far and why?

my favorite scene so far is probably the huge long sequence that follows the bomb explosion and markesha is running away. i love just how real and down to earth that scene is. like markesha doesnt magically come to her destiny or just treat what happened is nbd after suddenly becoming a ninja. nope, shes runs, like a normal person would do regardless if they were a runner or not, and is pursued. everthing about this sequence really carried this tension. cause in this moment she was not some future superheroine. she was a young woman terrified for her life. and it just felt so relateable.

I have several favorite scenes. One of them is Markesha's confrontation with Franco. It's the first time something works out right(ish) between Markesha and Orson. Due to the circumstances, the scene leaves a lot of distrust to be resolved, but it was nice to see that first step of working together. It struck a good balance of tension and a truce.

another scene im particular to is that scene where markesha is standing on the rooftops debating whether she should work with orson or not. not only is it beautifully illustrated, but i really like the juxtaposition in the story. like showing her other opportunity leaving the city without her. cause once that caravan leaves, its really a no way out declaration. markesha is trapped whether she wants to or not.

i do love the franco scene for how it painted the world. cause in the opening sequence i was like, "come on this is the post apocalypse he seems the type to be packing a gun." and then boop, he pulled out a gun and i felt vindicated XD

but i just really appreciated how the character really acted in the worst way possible per expectation of the world

I think my personal fave scene is the one where Audrey and Orson butt heads in the 2nd episode. She's totally not down for this, thinks it's a bad idea, and I think it says a lot about Orson that he'll take that kind of talk around him. Like...he's not so iron fisted he won't hear someone drag his ideas for the desperate moves they are.

orson is one of those characters where i dont know if i should love them or hate them. but like in the good tense way that keeps me on edge. hes this perfect blend of being a cool dude while at the same time kind of being a jerk.

Only made it through the first two episodes, but of those, I think my fave scene is actually when Markesha rubs the rabbit talisman and leaves, and beat panel, and then Toshi does after she's gone. The sort of thing that you could have totally skipped over, but gave much more weight to his character early on, in my mind.(edited)

i want to believe that markesha's panicking is kind of done in the sense shes just gonna run forever. i think though in that first mission she's going to be moving forward on adrenaline and saying shit a lot to get through it. however, i think once orson is back he can explain things better, and that will cement in her desires more. that and i think shell see the opportunity as a way to improve toshi's life at the end and stick with it for that reason.

i 100% think when toshi finds out he wont be happy tho

Okay, more or less here, catching up on the start. I guess I went for the more traditional. Though the bit with the mother is kind of heartbreaking. Though at the same time inspirational what with how close Markesha's become with her dad. And I totally missed the metaphor of releasing the rabbits.

A couple runner-up scenes... right at the beginning, where the elevator opens and it's full of security guys by accident. I thought that was funny. Also, well played, setting up this guy as the main character and it's actually his team that are the key ones moving on.

Second runner up scene... welp, if you know me, you KNOW I'm shipping Kamikaze and Flare, so yeah.

i dont know whether to applaud toshi's dedication to his wife or not. cause i mean loyalty is an admirable quality, but theres also a point i agree with markesha and its time to smack him into realizing she probably isnt coming back.

as for favorite link moments, probably the scenes at markesha's house. especially where he critiques audrey for how strong shes coming on...and then proceeds to come on very strong. besides being funny, i think its a good moment that shows he does basically just kind of his own moral compass for better or for worse.

but i also really liked the dialogue sequence between him and audrey that markesha could here

cause it really showed the vulnerability everyone is in atm

What do you think happened to the Cornerstone family exactly, and how might it tie in to the story? Also, who is Orson’s boss? What are they trying to accomplish as far as changing the balance of power goes? How are they trying to accomplish it? Lastly, what do you think was in the canister seen at the beginning of the comic?

@mathtans You're quite right. It's complicated for Toshi. There's most DEFINITELY an edge of "I won't leave her," but there's also the complications of leaving in both a mental and physical way. He's lived there forever, had memories built with his family, and leaving means he'd have to re-learn layouts all over again. That can be stressful and painful for someone who can't see.

I like Orson. He seems like he genuinely believes what he's doing is the best option for many in a crappy world, and accepts the shady aspects of it as a necessary price. There's a lot about him that's yet to be revealed, so maybe I won't agree with his endgame, but I still see an inherent value in that... belief in a non-self-centered goal.

im gonna take a stab in the dark at orson's motivations. i think the cornerstones essentially got murdered in a mysterious raid that im sure no other high ranking family had anything to do with. and that for better or for worse, orson got blamed because someone always needs to be blamed. and orson blames himself but he also recognizes how the system is flawed. so he wants to change the power dynamics by changing hte food system or something. cause food does seem to be the controlling factor here.

Oh you’re a BoruSara shipper and you’re quitting? Let’s talk.

WARNING: Pro-BoruSara, if you are an anti/hater and you still read this then don’t blame me if you get triggered. I already warned you, not my fault. Learn to stay in your lane, mofos.

Agree or disagree, this is my opinion IDGAF

Alright so earlier this morning I just learned that my friend, who is a BoruSara shipper, decided to deactivate apparently because of Boruto Episode 3. I really wanna  blog about it right away but I had to go to work so I restrained myself.

This blog is dedicated to all BoruSara shippers and more importantly, my friend @borutoverse-deactivated20170419 who I’ve been friends with since Boruto was born/created by Kishi. We would always fangirl together and talk about next gen stuff specially BoruSara. Even during the times that I was hiatus, she never failed to update me everything about Boruto (she messaged me every time which I really appreciated) I am sad that you decided to gave up right away. I thought we would go down with this ship no matter what happens but unfortunately you already quit. I respect your decision however I am a bit disappointed to be honest...

I promised myself that I would not go ham regarding “BoruSara vs other ship” or “BoruSara vs haters” since I wanna stay chill and positive while enjoying my pairing. You know, I just wanna peacefully fangirl with other BS shippers while throwing shitty BS fanarts to you guys that’s all. Well I’m not saying I’m going to go war now just because of what happen. I simply cannot keep my mouth shut any longer and will now share my thoughts regarding these issues even though I originally planned to stay silent.

1.) BoruSara shippers who already gave up, or giving up

Wow seriously guys? We are just 3 episodes in the anime and 11 chapters in the manga and y’all already quitting? I mean bruh, I fuckin shipped SasuSaku since like I was ten and I waited a decade to see them go canon. Even during the darkest times I didn’t leave and I didn’t lose hope. DARK-FUCKING-TIMES like:

Sasuke leaving Konoha - imagine the pain?! The fucking agony that Sakura can’t see Sasuke? No interaction, no communication?!

Sasuke going crazy, wants to kill everyone, wants to destroy Konoha - ugggh the other half of your OTP just became a villain like wtf 

Sasuke and Sakura tryna kill each other - BRUUUHHHHH YOU DONT KNOW HOW MUCH THAT BROKE MY FUCKING HEART

During Sasuke’s rogue times, he’s with a new team, with another female character who clearly likes him??? - Holyshit that was scary af.

I went through all of these and I didn’t give up. And you guys, just because of the introduction of a new character who is so much alike with Boruto’s mother are already calling GG? That’s it? I know you’ll all be like “OMG How rude! you just cant compare this and that” I know I sound rude rn and I am indeed comparing BUT this is the only best way that I can think of to tell you guys that PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP YET, IT’S WAY TOO EARLY TO TELL!!! I fuckin went through all this hell and shit but in the end, I became victorious since my ship became canon so please don’t lose hope yet. 

Shoutout to all my fellow SS shippers who stayed despite the darkest times! You dabest fam. And to all SS shippers who gave up early then went back when SS went canon, welcome back but ya’ll weaklings lol #sorrynotsorry

 2.) BoruSara is like NarSak or SasNar that’s why they won’t go canon

I think this triggers me the most. I don’t really get why people think like this. Yes they are the children of their parents but that doesn’t mean they are the same as them. BORUTO AND SARADA HAVE THEIR OWN FUCKING IDENTITY FFS. I know they resemble them physically, and their interactions remind us about their parents BUT STILL, they are who they are, not who their parents are. Stop comparing them with these ships because they are different with each other! Each pairing have their unique relationship and dynamics. Didn’t you guys watch Boruto episode 1? Boruto was so triggered when Iwabe said that he was riding the coattails of his father. Don’t you get the point? SMH We’re in the new generation now, this is a different and new era. 

3.) Boruto would definitely choose the Class Rep because she’s just like his mother

I actually have a simple counter to this. Remember how people were saying Naruto would definitely end up with Sakura because Sakura was like his mother Kushina? Well guess what, he married Hinata, who is the complete opposite of his mother. Boruto has been saying the whole time at the beginning “This is not the story of my father, THIS IS MY STORY” What’s the point if he’ll end up doing and choosing the same things like his father did lol. So as of now,  don’t really see the Class Rep as a complete threat to BoruSara. I only see her as a caring class rep to her classmates and gets shy & nervous way too fast that’s all.

4.) BoruSara relationship dynamics was destroyed

Uhm, since the anime is during pre-Gaiden and pre-Boruto the movie, Boruto and Sarada’s relationship is nothing but rivals. Yes it was said that they were childhood friends but they treat each other nothing but as rivals. I think they will later deepen their bond when they finally become teammates and all.  So I hope, people don’t get confused about this. I mean calm yo tits guys, their relationship development will happen as time goes by. I am actually enjoying this rivalry relationship thing between them. You know unlike in the first gen where Sakura fell for Sasuke right away and Hinata to Naruto, I wanna see a different approach here in the next gen. 

For example, the thing that I mentioned in my blog last week, Sarada and Boruto as rivals who do nothing but to compete with each other then will eventually fall for each other but no one from them wants to confess because they think that the first person to fall in love is the loser and of course you can’t lose to your rival so yeah both of them try their best to hold it in until one of them can’t take it anymore (I wonder who lol)

So yeah something like that XD Nevertheless, I have no problem with their relationship towards each other rn.

5.) Let’s go down with this ship no matter what happens

This is going to be my last point. I hope that whether BoruSara goes canon or not, my fellow shippers would continue to support and love them like I do. If they won’t go canon, it doesn’t mean we can no longer ship them. As long as the fandom is alive, and we continue to love and ship them, they will always be canon in our hearts and eyes. It hurts a lot when you’re ship doesn’t/impossible to go canon, don’t worry I feel you (SuzakuxEuphy, ZeroxYuuki, GrayxLucy, RinxIzumo, IchigoxRukia) but please do not let this to be a reason to stop in shipping them.

So these are my points. At the end of the day it’s still your decision whether to stay on this ship or not. But I hope you learned a thing or two from me. I actually do not know how to end this blog since my brain is already dead and I need to sleep now since I got work @ 7am tom so yeah.
