Part 5: Science/Fiction

Since we're only a few days away from the last episode, I decided to COUNT DOWN everything we´ve got so far ( that can be interpreted very easily as romantic ) and discuss what the actual fuck is going on with second season. Because even though I shipped lokius practically from S1E2, I absolutely did NOT expect this kind of development. (Not that I´m complaining)

Warning: This is gonna be LONG post, lots of screenshots, lots of SPOILERS, lot of "oh-my-god-they-so-cute" language, and little bit of meta.

I originally thought that this post would be everything at once, but since I have just too many screenshots this time around, I´ll have to split it. so every post will be one episode. Color coding means:

IIIIIIIIII = anything, that coud potentialy be just acting choice.

IIIIIIIIII = everything else (tzn.: whatever was written, and/or carefully prepared by filmmakers. )

side note: I already wrote, about how amazing it is, that Mobius is unable to fight but fights anyway and how beautifuly, and ridiculously brave he is HERE. But this is about Loki/Mobius interactions, so I´ll try my best not to talk about THAT. (Even when I´m really happy, that s2 continues with this formula and Mobius is still his completely defenseless while aggressively brave self. I love him, btw.)

40) Mobius/Don casually informing Loki, he´s a SINGLE dad and telling him his entire work schedule (not that it´s important for anything, but Mobius is sooo damn handsome in that blue west!!! ) Also Loki staring at him through the window ?! And then being so distracted by him, that it took him interestigly long time, before he realized / accepted that Mobius doesn´t remember him (AGAIN). And he should have know this right away, because he already talked to Casey/Frank.

41) Loki time slipping to Mobius again (right when he started to be hopefull and Happy, that O. B. will be able to help him.

42) Loki glow up - or Loki fixing himself up, to look sexy not threatening fo Mobius/Don. I mean... this is just straight out of romantic movie, I´m sorry. Interesting acting choice there🤣

43) Loki being very nervous while talking to Mobius/Don.

Mobius: "You live around here, or did you follow me home? 😉" Loki: "Oh... no... hahahaha 😅 ... No no. I was... 😳I was actually on my way to the 👉👆👇☝️uh. And... 😨 And I happend to see you, so I... I... I 🫣 just thought I´d just come and say that I´m sorry that I... I... 🥵couldn´t... stick around back there. I was... um... 🤯 I was in a bit of a time crunch. 😅😅😅"

I´m sorry, but he´s acting here like stuttering schoolgirl with a crush. What exactly are you trying to accomplish, Tom ??? Anyway... I love it xD

The fact, that Loki remembers that line from S01E02 and that he echoes it back at Mobius, who doesn´t remember him... Like... WHAT? This thing is romantic as fuck. also finaly someone, who will gladly listen to Mobius braindumping about jetskis!!!! YES PLEASE. He deserves it! 💚 they litteraly made for each other!

47) Loki gently helping Mobius/Don through the time door. - while O. B. is struggling with heavy prototype of tempad...

48) "You saved my life, when I first arrived. You saw something in me, that I hadn´t seen in myself."

Can you believe he said that??? Because I don´t. I´m still processing 😭 Also, see? He IS his friend... but O. B. is not. He WILL be (eccept O. B. knows Mobius much longer xDD ) I´m ok 49) "I want my friends back. I don´t want to be alone."

This scene is honestly so tragic. Sylvie helps him realize his true motivations and he looks so desprete. TVA: place, that he should hate is home now. Where he belong. And that´s why he cared so much and tried so hard to save that place. And thing he wants the most are his friends. Their company. (And if it wasn´t obvious, it means primarily Mobius. The man, he called friend several times this season) It´s him, who Loki doesn´t want to lose in the first place.

Loki looks so fucking sad here! I can´t! 50) "It was more about what I wanted."

Not only he says it while we are watching Mobius, but let´s take in the fact, that he says it at all! Like... come on!!! Can´t he be just happy? As soon as he starts thinking that his actions are selfish, Loki will actualy choose what he thinks is better for Mobius and tries to let him go...

The character development in this show is just unbelievable

And finaly: 51) "It´s not about where, when or why. It´s about WHO."

... said Loki, after very, very, VERY long look at Mobius. --------------- Anyway. That´s the check-list. In total, I counted 51 Lokius moment, but if anyone caught something I didn´t, feel free to correct me! the more, the better! 😁 It´s a hella lot of Lokius content. especially since I didn´t expected, like... not even third of it. So yeah. Last part will be kind of a conclusion. I will try to look at possibilities, what could all this mean. What could be the actual intent of writers and filmakers etc. And, simply put it, asking: WHAT THE FUCK 😳

He doesn't really find your interest bothersome just more of a "If you have any questions ask Jade." type of deal.

Although he'd be really thrown off if you suddenly wanted to start talking about Octopusses.

If you start ranting he would gladly listen to what information you have (and maybe make a contract so he can find information he doesn't have). He could also use this time to get blackmail unless it's something he already knows.

In a romantic sense, I feel he'd be a little upset and insecure if you talk about Moray Eels constantly. (SHOW HIM SOME LOVE TO SMH)

Overall is not really bothered but will exploit your information as blackmail.

Jade

He finds your interest in Moray eels adorable. He tries to answer any questions you may have he will tease you a little bit about your interest, but in return, you listen to him talk about mushrooms (Think of it as an information exchange). If you ask to see his eel form he'd be like "Oh? you wish to see my eel form?" he'd show you it since you asked nicely but would also give you a water-breathing potion so you can explore whatever body of water Octavinelle has.

I can imagine if you ask a myth about eels and he debunks It "Erm actually 🤓☝️" (joke)

Overall he'd be more helpful than Floyd would be

Floyd

Depending on Floyd's mood he will either be impressed and intrigued or annoyed.

So it's a 50/50 if you wanna ask questions. (Very helpful Floyd)

Although when you do have questions he'd either send you to Jade or drag you to the Octavinelle equivalent of an ocean. If you complain about clothes getting wet or the water being cold he'd be like, "Whaat? You asked."

If he's in a bad mood he would probably shoo you away or make some lie up leaving you to go find Jade.

Floyd is just a silly guy fr

Lilia

Lilia finds your interest amuzing. If he knows any information he'll give it to you if you ask nicely if he doesn't then he will help you get information by either going to Jade or reading about it via online or the library books.

He would gladly listen to your rants and whatever information you have to share he may even teach you a thing or two about Fae's.

Imagine him playing the Overwatch or Valorant equivalent (We are not a Fortnite household) clacking away on his keyboard while listening to you talk about how Moray Eels have poor eyesight so they need their nose (They have really good noses btw) to help them navigate.

And then it causes questions as to why Jade and Floyd aren't wearing glasses on land.

E/riel’s laugh at how Azriel rejected/ignored Gwyn’s handshake (I’m assuming the part where Gwyn reaches the finish line and says “Well?” while extending her hand), but Gwyn never offered a handshake. She did reach out her hand, yes, but not for Azriel to shake her hand. Gwyn didn’t want a handshake, she wanted her prize. When she reached out her hand it was like “hello I proved you wrong now give me my prize!”. I never interpreted it as Gwyn wanting a handshake.

Or they bring up how Azriel didn’t care that Gwyn was kidnapped for the Blood Rite. Azriel’s shadows deepened and his siphons flowed at the mention of her name, and in the audiobook there was a pause before Cassian said Gwyn’s name and there was an emphasis put on it. If Cassian and Azriel did anything to help the girls, then not only would both of them probably face execution, but the Valkyries as well. Not even Rhys could do anything. And Azriel brought up how maybe Amren could find loopholes in the law. And he spoke to Rhys with urgency, and I think he even stammered (for the first time in the entire series). If Rhys couldn’t do anything (most powerful High Lord), then what the hell could Azriel and Cassian do?

And when Azriel saved Gwyn, he slaughtered all the soldiers without hesitation, and we know that he usually keeps two alive for interrogation/torture, but in this one instance he didn’t. Thought sounds like going feral/being in rage to me. Yes, after Mor arrived he left, but he had to go after the Cauldron pieces (war was literally on the horizon here). And Mor had to heal Gwyn from her assault, and Gwyn being left with Mor (another woman) was probably the better thing to do. Maybe Azriel thought Gwyn would’ve felt better with another woman by her.

And they laugh at how Gwyn tried to get Azriel to open up but he shuts her down and tells her to the cut ribbon. Azriel did open up to Gwyn by admitting that he does sing. He didn’t demonstrate his singing, but we still got something from him. Something that we didn’t know, and this is a man who is very private and a bit closed off. And Gwyn gave Azriel multiple chances to leave. She even dismissed him and he asked her “Are you kicking me out?” and he chose to stay and talk. He made that choice himself. He could’ve left at any time, but didn’t. “He was being polite and didn’t want to be rude” he still could’ve left and gave a polite reason. He also smiled and laughed more in ONE scene with Gwyn than he ever has in the entire series.

They argue about the necklace being Elain’s (and yes it was originally her gift), but would Elain really want that necklace back if she knew that Azriel gave it to another woman? And let’s not forget that Elain GAVE it back to Azriel (like she did Truth Teller). She made that choice to return it. “Azriel specifically picked it out for Elain!” I honestly don’t know why they would want Elain to have it back. It was generic enough that he didn’t have any problem with giving it to another woman. What does Azriel know about Elain other than she loves to garden and bake (there’s nothing wrong with baking & gardening btw)? Are roses even her favorite flower? I personally think tulips might be, but that’s just my little headcanon. And I’ve seen some E/riel’s say that Clotho didn’t give Gwyn the necklace (?), but Clotho and Gwyn are friends so? And even if she didn’t give the necklace to Gwyn it still doesn’t erase the fact that Azriel felt a spark in his chest, buried the image of Gwyn smiling/her joy and tucked it into his chest where it glowed, and that it brought a slight smile to his face. (I don’t think the necklace will end up being a big deal though.)

(And in case E/riel’s try and twist canon, Azriel first offered it to Gwyn and then he told Clotho that if there’s another priestess who wants it to give it to her).

Anon here is making a lot of good points ☝️ I have seen all of this and more. Things that don’t support their ship are brushed aside or ignored. Also yes, they definitely misinterpret a lot of what’s written, like the scene you mentioned when Gwyn holds out her hand. They also like to ignore the second half of the bonus chapter. Yes it started with Elain but ended with Azriel distracted and thinking of another female, his chest glowing at the thought of her smile. They also like to pretend that forbidden love would be hot and romantic for Azriel when really it would be the worst possible thing for his character. We got to see more of Azriel’s personality in his very short interaction with Gwyn than we have in the rest of the books combined. Also that moment when he’s watching Gwyn cut the ribbon with “admiration and quiet encouragement...Only time will tell what happens but I think it’s very clear who will be end game. 🙂‍↕️

You’ve taken to wandering around the castle while you’re regressed, anyone Lucifer invites in is trusted enough to see you and when that’s not the case Lucifer makes sure that the meetings are secluded and quick, of course they also give you a heads up.

So here you were, Emery in one hand and blanket wrapped around you and dragging on the floor wandering around with no particular destination when you spot Luci and run to hug them, attaching yourself to their leg. They were busy, sat talking to Mazikeen about something you could probably care less about, so their hand made its way to your hair, giving you headscratches as they talked but other than that made no move to acknowledge you.

Their soft voice and soothing touch was making you even more sleepy than you were, your head rested on their knee as they talked, you felt yourself drifting before two pats on your shoulder made you shake yourself awake. “hm?” Luci smiled at you. “I think it’s time for bed tiny, I still have some work to get done but I’ll join you shortly okay? Mazikeen will stay with you until I’m back and I’ll get you ready for bed then.”

You went to complain but soon enough you were (gently) thrown over Mazis shoulder. “Wait wait wait-!” She ignored you and walked back to your room. As she dropped you into bed you tried to make a run for it out of the room before she grabbed you yet again and sat you on the floor with her. You huffed. “Meanie.” She tilted her head at you. “What was that?” When you stayed quiet she let the scary act drop. “They will be here soon enough, just be patient.” She said as she handed you another stuffie and your coloring book.

You whined and threw the coloring book at her. “Don’t be a brat.” You huffed and turned your back to her. “I thought you wanted to sleep, are you seriously throwing a tantrum right now?” You nodded and threw the other stuffie at her as well (which you quickly regretted and made a mental note to apologize to them later).

Had it been anyone else they would’ve lost their head. But it was you. Adorable, sweet, helpful, Lucifer’s partner, you. That last one did most of the convincing, but she knew you were only whining because you wanted Lucifer and not her, so she went softer on you. “Sweetheart you have to stay here.” “well you hav to leave m alone!” She sighed. “You are most certainly a handful. Let’s see.. we’ll have a coloring competition and whoever wins gets to tell the loser what to do next.”

Stubborn as you were u were also very competitive, how could you turn that down? Kicking your legs in excitement you nodded and handed maz another coloring book. “How kno?” She thought about it for a second. “We’ll do the fastest, but! You have to stay inside the lines.” You gasped, offended. “cheatin!” She shook her head smiling and handed you your crayons.

After a few minutes of coloring and your pouting Maz spoke again. “Done.” You whined and dramatically laid on the floor. “Unfairrrr!” “Nope, little darling I won fair and square. You are going to sit here with your toys and behave until Lucifer gets back and then you’re their problem again.” You pouted and climbed into bed hiding under the blanket. When you peeked to see what Maz was up to you saw her cleaning up the mess you had made.

Quietly you made your way out of the room and begun your search for Lucifer. After checking a few rooms you found them in the main throne room talking to who seemed to be Azazel. You thought you were being sneaky until you heard a voice behind you. “And just what are you doing out of your room at this hour, little angel?” you jumped and squeaked in surprise before jumping into Lucifer’s arms.

“I stay?” You mumbled into their chest with your eyes closed. Lucifer sighed, looking at your exhausted body language, your pouty face convinced them. “Yes, little dove.” You heard Lucifer and Azazel talking for an extra second before you felt Lucifer started talking back in direction of your room, you started crying. Making Lucifer abruptly stop. “Sweet one what’s wrong? Did something happen? Are you hurt?” your arms wrapped around them so tightly it would’ve been concerning if they were human.

“Tiny?” you only responded with a hum. “please tell me what’s wrong.” you sniffled, rubbing your eyes. “don go” they breathed a sigh of relief once they noticed what was going on. “I won’t little dove, not again, I’m staying with you, it’s all okay.” Lucifer continued walking as their hand gently rubbed your back, calming your sobs.

When you came back to your room it was all clean and Mazikeen was gone. Lucifer got you ready for bed in seconds, and placed a kiss on your temple before whipping your teary eyes. Their voice was barely above a whisper when they spoke now. “Luci’s not leaving now, sweet one, I’ve got you, my heart.”
