The King's Men - Chapter Thirteen
Day: Saturday, March 9th / 10th* Time: 5:00 AM EST
Nathaniel knows the house is finally clear when a door opens at the top of the stairs. Lola is on her feet in a heartbeat. Nathaniel's heart kicks into overdrive, but with Lola's interested stare on him he can't afford to look afraid. He locks a calm expression on his face and watches death come downstairs for him. Two years behind bars hasn't aged his father a bit. Aside from a couple lost pounds Nathan Wesninski looks the same now as he always has. The house is a garish demonstration of his wealth, but Nathan doesn't waste his time dressing up. He see's no need for fancy clothes when he likes getting dirty at work. He comes down the stairs barefoot, wearing dark gray jeans and a black button-up shirt. His sleeves are rolled up to his elbows, and he has his hands in his pockets as he reaches the landing. Cool blue eyes settle on Nathaniel, and Nathaniel has to look away. Lola isn't much safer to look at, but Nathaniel doesn't want to look at the monster who's accompanied Nathan downstairs, either. Patrick DiMaccio is Nathan's live-in bodyguard. He carries himself like he can take on half the world bare-handed, an arrogant swagger backed by three hundred pounds of steroid-fueled muscle. He's never laid a hand on Nathaniel or Mary, maybe knowing he could kill them with one careless hit, but Nathaniel knows how dangerous he is. He is deathly loyal to Nathan, and Nathan trusts him unequivocally. DiMaccio would have been charged with keeping the circle strong in Nathan's absence.
Art used with permission by Rainbowd00dles. Thank you @rainbowd00dles!
*Due to the Leap Year, I have opted to highlight the day rather than the date to keep the events in occurrence to the 2007 year. I will continue to mark both days accordingly.

so... back then i was havin some urge to draw bugs lola and daffy as arknights's operator(bugs would be guard,lola sniper n daffy specialist) that later on was getting grown into a 'what if' they become an operator,like...at first i just kinda curious about how they would be there then in few days it grown into how they comin to terra until they become operators,n then i draw the e2 ver of bugs first since i already draw his base splash before maybe next would be daffy n lola as well the plot was kinda like this (this one was pasted from a recent chat that i did with a fellow looney tunes enjoyers and also arknights player
grandpa ranger found three of em around an abandoned originium mine at ursus territory,n he reported to us (the doctor) that he also found a certain rabbit hole nearby
he brings em to us along with his reports,there lola told us that they didnt know anything beside few white masked combatants(yeah reunions,kevin included) was try to attack them as soon as three of em was get out from a rabbithole that bugs made (classic, he forgot the turn to alburquerque as usual),sadly one of the caster injured them,both daffy and lola got minor burns while bugs got more heavy damage on his leg,so they take him n running together into nearby cave (the abandoned mine) until those reunions was get away,then they re founded by ranger which doing some daily area scouting
then knowin three of em was have some burns the doctor told amiya to bring em to the medic ward,there gavial help em while doin some chit chat,and since daffy had too much to talk while being cured,she bonk him with her staff
-then after they re out from the room,lola noticed that there's a lot of animals and humans with animals traits around there,amiya start explaining(y know the stuffs,race etc)
-while that daffy was accidentaly bumped into may and had some nonsense arguments
then cut to evening they go back to the doctor,found em standing with kal tsit,and they got some infos that those three needed to know, the possible way how they ended up there and how to send em back to their home
but since it would need a prototype device (welp thanks to originium dust event,now we got an info that makin portal between two world was kinda possible(?)) with huge amount of originium energies they have to wait at least until the next day after tomorrow
at the mean time there s some daily things happened,like lola teach some small kids how to do a threepoint shoot,daffy still arguing nonsense stuffs with may and bugs doin his usual slapstick with daffy in front of some younger operators and kids there (Also if i remember there also a scene where daffy giving elysium advice how to win against thorn in chess but all the ways he give was useless at the end)
and before those um...montages... at the first night when amiya shows them where they can rest for few days and give em blankets, her wrist that has originium crystals was accidentaly shown to bugs which was the only person that was nearby her at the moment (daffy was already on the bed and lola was takin bath)
and she tells about oripathy and stuffs
then after those daily life segments end,at night bugs was inside the bathroom,alone and wash his face before goin to sleep, while he drains his gloved hand
there's a black transparant rock crystal there,but not that big
well Seeing that bugs wipes away his thoughts about what amiya says before about oripaty n stuffs and go to sleep at the next morning the rock was kinda multiplied,but not that much seeig this he go back to the bathroom and try to get rid of it but nothing worked then he go out from the room,seeking well...amiya,since she is the first person that kindly open to him around the place
when he found amiya he tells her like "hey doc....did ya still remember those rocks that ya said few nights before?" then amiya answered "rocks? ah did you mean originiums,mr bugs?"
and he answered like "yeah dat one...well...i guess one of the rock was stickin to my arm doc..." while he showin amiya his own wrist which has those rock that now has multiplied again but in smaller size then amiya gasped and take bugs to kal tsit
she examine him and found out it is indeed oripathy bugs gulped in frightened face and ask how it can be cured quickly but yeah we both know there's still no cure
then he told kal tsit to didnt tell lola and daffy about this later on until finally they can go back home
well they stay still didnt know anything t\about bugs gets oripathy until a night before the day that the device is ready to bring em back home,amiya was walkin by and accidentaly meets bugs outside the room they then had a talk n at the end amiya explains that indeed oripathy still dont have any cure yet but there s some meds that can endure the symptoms and such and she says that s what rhodes is about and everyone that sick there was having hope to be cured so they worked there as operators n helps each others n other peoples not only for getting the better meds but also better lfes and better places
then at the next day,when they finally can go back home at the same time amiya and few operators are assigned to an urgent mission at the same time so she cannot attend the procedure for opening the portal to send three of our toons back home she only can wave short goodbye at the moment that what was the doctor told to lola and daffy
which was also questioning where's bugs since they didnt see him around even on few minuts before they departured then when amiya comin in rush for a short goodbye,daffy and lola ask her that if maybe she did meets bugs,and she says that she meets him and he just being prepared daffy n lola then both kinda confused for what are he prepared then a footstep comin inside,there's bugs comin but he using rhodes's uniform as seen above and have a normal length of blade inside it s holster attached on a belt (which is it was a spare sword that amiya ask from yato to borrow for him) then they ask him like what did he doin and why those equipments he then answer about his reason that maybe they need some much more vacation times so he decide to stay there longer.both lola and daffy confused why he said that,since it kinda unusual but he says that if the portal device was stable then it means they can go home whenever they please,so nothing to worry about and they can be more relaxed there,on terra without thinkin too much about the teleports and having some 'fun' vacations through terra,he also said that amiya told him before that the rhodes landship would go to siesta,a beautiful country that has nice weather and beach,included with it s music festival to enjoy. heard nice beach and blue sea,daffy instantly agreed in happyness makes lola finally also agreed both decisions. thus their journey began on the land of terra

i'm really reluctant to watch tiny toons looniversity when it comes out, but at the same time, i'm DYING to know how lola will be characterized. it seems she's retained her sportiness from the like two seconds of frames she's in in the first trailer. but lola's characterization is never consistent throughout the lt franchise, which i know can be said for almost every character to some extent, but ESPECIALLY for lola since she didn't HAVE much of a character in her debut. i kind of want her to be a mix between the comics and (mainly s2 of) tlts/and or rabbits run? but i mean i REALLY miss her personality from the dc comics. she was SO funny. she called elmer a little deodorant stick, like COME ON. I NEED MORE SNARKY LOLA! like she can be a little weird and crazy i like that too maybe even a little absentminded and spacey, but i want her to be a little mean too. a little disagreeable. :) for the laughs.
(side note i want to see lola in ltc but i know it probably is not gonna happen by now)

Everyone has gone back to their own realms. The Toons, of course, stayed in Tune World. The population once again becoming more than one. Yet, there was still something missing… well there was someone missing.
Anyone could tell you that Bugs Bunny was respected and well liked. He always managed to bring people together. He was charismatic and deeply cared about his friends. This would be his downfall.
He sacrificed his own life just for everyone else. No one really comprehended that he was gone until the next day. It was like Bugs had left an empty and open hole in everyone’s hearts.
The person who seemed surprisingly least affected, was Daffy. Keyword: seemed. After everyone checked in on each other they returned to their respective residences in tune world.
Daffy’s seemed emptier than he remembered. Maybe it was because the home had been shared with Bugs. They had always been roommates. They had always been together. Even if they weren’t physically together, they were spiritually bound to one another. To be frank, they were soulmates. Not that either of them would admit it.
Even though Daffy hadn’t lived in their apartment in… a long time, it still felt empty and vast without Bugs. Daffy hated it. Sure his ego could fill a room, but there was no one to be egotistical around. He was only one part of a duo. His other half was gone.
Lola had tried to reach out to him, Daffy brushed her off by insisting that he was fine. He wasn’t torn up over Bugs, for lack of a better word, death. “We didn’t talk for a long time, Lola. I think I can manage without him,” he tried to ignore her concerned looks.
Daffy locked himself away to wallow in pity. all he had left of his former friend was memories. Despite their on screen feud the pair was each other’s comfort. They always knew what to do when the other was sad.
Daffy felt guilty for leaving Bugs alone on Tune world. He just… needed a change of pace. He needed a new scenery, a fresh start if you will. He thought that Bugs would follow him. He thought that their bond was too unbreakable. But Bugs stayed, and Daffy left.
Daffy waited for Bugs to show up in some extravagant manner, like usual. But nothing happened. Porky, bless him, tried to cheer Daffy up. It was no use.
But then… there he was. On the dash window of the train. Daffy had to do a double take. Of all the times his rabbit companion could show up, it had to be then. Just as he was getting over him and maybe starting to move on. He felt a rush of so many emotions: anger, joy, confusion, anxiety and more.
They never got a private conversation.
And so there Daffy was, alone and lost. Soulmates aren’t supposed to be separated. And yet it had happened to them twice now.
Daffy was yanked out of his sadness by the sound of the front door opening. He groaned and rose from the spot on the ground where he was sitting. “I told everyone that I preferred to-“ he stopped mid-sentence. There, standing in the doorway was none other than a familiar gray and white rabbit.
For the first time in… a while. Bugs seemed timid and Daffy was dumbfounded by everything. Daffy felt like his legs either couldn’t or wouldn’t move. Bugs did a small wave, “What’s up doc?”
That’s all it took for Daffy’s legs to move and run and hug the rabbit. Bugs hugged back. After what felt like an eternity Daffy pulled away and looked Bugs up and down. He sighed, “I’m not going to ask how or why you came back but just… don’t ever do that again,”
Bugs smiled softly, “I don’t plan on leaving ya again, Daff,”

In love and death (Agatha x reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You frowned when the feeling came back, like something pulling from the back of your mind. It was strange and creepy, to be honest. Although you guess you didn’t have the right to say anything about creepiness, considering the nature of your powers. Since you were a little witch, you could always talk to the death. It was strange and it made the older witches on your coven laugh at you. Nobody believed you.
And then it happened. You revived your first corpse. It was only a rabbit you found in the forest, but it made your magic change. It was no longer gold, but a mix of black and gold. It scared you, and the other witches too. The matriarch expelled you from the coven when she found out, saying it was black magic and couldn’t allow a monster like you near the rest.
You were only 13.
Being alone from such a young age was tough, but it made you stronger. You could defend yourself and stand up. Well, maybe you weren't entirely alone. The rabbit you had brought back, Lola, was still by your side. She was a good company, and the ravages of death weren't quite gone, so she was quite aggressive with anyone that got too close to you. Sometimes you suspected that she was a demon and not a rabbit.
You two would travel around the world, never staying anywhere for too long, and then...you didn’t remember much. Just that your life was a hurricane, everything seemed to happen so fast and you didn’t really have time to bond with anyone. That’s why it was so strange to be living on Westview, with so many people around you, acting strange but friendly.
You could see the pain in their eyes, but they were smiling? And then you’d feel that sensation as if someone was trying to get into your mind. Or you would get suddenly sad and desperate whenever you walked by the Vision house. It was all so confusing.
“Y/N!”
You jumped a little and turned to see Wanda walking up to you. You smiled but couldn’t help but feel a little intimidated. There was something about her.
“Hi, Mrs. Maximoff” you forced a smile as the redhead walked up to you “What can I do for you?”
You frowned when you said that. It wasn’t your intention. Something just pulled the words out of your mouth, as if you were supposed to say them, like a script. You got suspicious when you noticed the smile on Wanda’s lips. She had wanted you to ask that.
“Oh well, you see” she started “It seems like I’m having trouble with Vision”
“Trouble?”
“Yes, yes, he seems to be a little...off, distant if you will. It’s like my relationship with him is starting to die”
You didn’t like the way she said that.
“Well, I’m really sorry for it” you said “have you tried talking to him about how you feel? Maybe that will help” you forced another smile
“Oh I did” she said “But I’m afraid it didn’t work. You see,  it’s hard to make someone listen to you when they have dead ears” she joked
You laughed because you had the feeling this wasn’t a woman you would like to piss off, but you were getting scared of her. Really scared.
Lola must have sensed your fear because she suddenly appeared next to the woman and made a noise that made her jump a little. You took the opportunity your bunny gave you.
“Oh dear, I am so sorry” you lied “I don’t know how she keeps escaping. I’ll take her home before she causes any trouble”.
You took Lola in your arms and gave her one last fake smile before walking, almost running if you were honest, away from there. You didn’t even need to turn around to know the redhead was frowning at you, and you could feel the same thing trying to pull your mind. It only made you walk faster.
_______________________
You were scared of Wanda, that was no secret. You tried to avoid her as much as you could, turning around and walking away whenever you saw her. But that didn’t mean you hated her sons or wished bad things for her family. You liked kids and being left alone since you were 13 made you a little protective of them. You didn’t like to hear kids cry.
That’s why you didn’t think much about it when you brought Sparky back.
You were just passing by when you saw the Vision family and before you could turn around, you heard Tommy and Billy crying. You still feared their mother, but you couldn’t just leave them like that. So you approach them a little, but not really making your presence known. You waited till Wanda and Vision took the kids home before you walked up to Agnes.
It was strange, you could swear you had never talked to her before, but you still know who she was? And how she seemed to be so close to Wanda, being the only one not afraid of the redhead. Must be nice to have a friend like her.
The brunette looked at you and you could see her face changing from smirking, to surprise to sadness. Such a variety of moods in the 2 seconds it took you to be by her side. Odd.
“Hi” you shyly waved
“Oh, Y/N, hi dear” she said
You frowned a little. She knew your name? Small town, you guessed. But then again, you knew Agnes had the reputation of being the nosy neighbor, knowing everything about anyone.
“Such a tragedy, isn’t it?” she said, referring to the dog in her arms. You guessed Vision would come back for it after calming the twins.
“What happened?” you asked
“I found him on my azaleas” she simply said “I couldn’t do anything for him. It was too late”
For some reason, that story sounded fake to you, as if she had been practicing it for a while. It made you suspicious of the real reason behind Sparky’s death, and still you weren’t afraid of this woman like you were of Wanda.
You took a step closer and awkwardly raised your arms to her and the dog in her arms.
“Can I?” you asked.
The brunette frowned and seemed unwilling to give you the corpse, but she must have decided you couldn’t mean any harm because she shrugged and handed you the small dog. You smiled and unwrapped him, already trying to feel the last straw of life in him. a cold shiver run through your spine when you felt the traces of murder in him, and you had a pretty good idea of who must have done it. But Agnes seemed so nice and it was hard to picture her killing the small creature!
“Always be suspicious of someone who smiles 24/7” you thought.
The brunette just raised an eyebrow as you crunched down and put the dog on the floor. She didn’t know what you were doing but hey, whatever was the game you were playing, at least you were cute.
She had been watching you from afar, always being too busy with Wanda to actually approach you, but she had heard the rumors and gossip and she couldn’t agree more when they said you were an absolute beauty. And powerful too, if the aura she could sense from you was any hint.
That made her more intrigued as she watched you closing your eyes and placing your hands on the corpse. Whatever you planned to do, you surely wouldn’t do it infront of her, right? It would be stupid and risky and- oh ok. You were doing it. She silently gasped when the magic floated from your hands.
“Two colors? Interesting” she thought
Honestly, you were so used to this, to play with the line between death and life, that it just felt natural to you. You didn’t even think about how this might look to someone else. The brunette was frozen in her place as she watched your black magic wrapping the dog and slowly being replaced by the gold one. When it was only gold with no trace of black, Sparky started breathing again. You giggled as the dog started licking your hand, totally oblivious to the startled woman in front of you.
“How did you-” she started
“Sparky?”
You froze when you heard Vision’s voice behind you. The blonde man seemed confused, which was normal, his dog, which was dead a few moments ago, was now running around him. And yet, he didn’t seem scared, only confused.
“I-...the azaleas only made him sleep, but he’s fine now” you lied.
You could tell that both Vision and Agnes knew you were lying, but none of them dared to say it. Vision was just confused but grateful because the kids would be happy, and Agatha was rather curious about all of this.
You watched the man taking the dog and walking home after thanking you, before you did the same, giving Agnes a quick excuse before running away from there, feeling like you made a big mistake.
You didn’t notice the way the brunette’s eyes turned purple.
____________________
And a mistake it was! If Wanda scared you before, it was worse after bringing Sparky back. She seemed determined to follow you around, talking about her husband and even going as far as to try to send you on a date with Pietro (it was really awkward to explain that you didn’t like men at all). It seemed like she wanted you in her family at any cost.
And you wanted to avoid it at any cost.
But Wanda’s were not the only eyes you could feel on your back as you walked through the town. Agnes seemed to be as fascinated by you as you were by her. You guessed it was because of what she witnessed, but still, she didn’t seem scared, only curious, which was a blessing to you. You had enough of being feared and being scared. It was nice to have someone who looked at you as if you were something worthy of admiration.
It made you feel special.
 And you would be lying if you said you weren’t attracted to her. She was beautiful, ok? And she was bold and brave and funny and simply wonderful. The only thing strange about her was that you seemed to be the only one having a crush on her. It was unbelievable to you, that everyone thought was BY FAR, the most beautiful woman in town.
Sure, she was beautiful, but the way they said it was as if no one else was allowed to be beautiful, as if she was the only one. As if she was the main character of some kind of show and therefore, the attention must be on her at all times. You even got the feeling that YOU weren’t allowed to admire Agnes the way you did.
_______________
Wanda frowned when she noticed the way you and Agnes kept looking at each other. It was the same way Vision and her used to look at each other before Than-...before that happened. It was love, she knew.
But she couldn’t allow it. Not when she hadn’t been able to make you understand, to make you see that she knew about your powers. She tried to control you, but your mind was strong, so the only option she had was to convince you to bring back Viz without actually telling you what was happening in Westview.
You could get scared and try to escape, and then, she would have lost the only chance to have Vision and Pietro back. The real ones. Besides, Agnes’ affection was probably an effect of the dome anyway, Agnes wasn’t allowed to think on her own, like the rest of Westview.
So, as much as she liked the brunette and thought of her as a friend, she couldn’t allow her to have your attention. Not yet.

I was rereading the iconic reunion at baltimore and this came to me and I can't not write it (even though I have a half finished chapter waiting to be written for a fic for a whole different fandom but who cares right)
in which neil regrets realizes that the feds were on to something when they talked about witness protection program. brace yourselves, it's angst time bby. please bear with me, I don't write stuff like this, content and format wise.
so everyone knows what goes down in baltimore. everyone knows that famous college exy striker for the foxes neil josten has been the son of the butcher of baltimore all along, and that smth happened after he was kidnapped and tortured that resulted in the butcher and some associates to be killed. everyone knows that neil walked out alive, injured but alive. so when a few weeks, months later, associates of the butcher start getting raided and taken in custody, everyone knows exactly who opened his little mouth and revealed everything he knows (bc there's literally no one else who could know this stuff and would be willing to share with the fucking feds, no one has a death wish)
It's a slow process. It starts with the feeling of not being safe, which is ridiculous, because he hasn't been quite as safe as he is right now, with the foxes, his family, and most importantly with Andrew. They're on summer break, technically speaking, even if they're at campus for practice because they gotta train the new foxes. They're barely doing anything than hanging out together and training, but still Neil can't shake the feeling that something is wrong, that someone is watching him, but he doesn't say anything, because it doesn't make sense, he's just being paranoid, there's no need to panic.
Neil can swear he's being watched. He feels the dread whenever he's out of the dorm, when he's out running, when they go out to eat something, when they go to the mall, on their way to practice, at Eden's. But when he looks around there's no one looking, it's been weeks and nothing has happened, he hasn't seen anyone.
Neil can tell Andrew is growing suspicious of the way he checks out a place, the way his eyes trace every corner, every exit, because he's starting to fall back in old habits, and he knows Andrew hates it. But Andrew doesn't ask, he knows that Neil will speak when he feels ready, so he lets it go, even if he can't quite let got of the worry clawing at his heart.
But everything keeps going normally, things are fine, everything is fine fine fine. Neil doesn't talk about it, but it's fine really. Until it's not fine at all, but it's also too late to talk now because his head is fuzzy and throbbing, and he feels like he might throw up and he feels pain even if he's not sure where the pain is coming from. But he can't do anything now, he can't tell Andrew how he's been feeling dread for weeks, because a man whose name he doesn't even know but whose face is awfully familiar is standing right in front of him where he lies on the floor, and the situation is also awfully familiar.
Stop being a martyr. Oh Andrew would kill him. If Neil gets out of this alive, Andrew will kill him, because he left again. He didn't want to, he really didn't. He was out on a run while Andrew was in therapy with Bee and Aaron, a couple miles away from fox tower, when a car pulled up right in front of him, two men wearing hoods and sunglasses stepping out and standing in front of him. He came to a halt, trying his best to keep calm because who the hell were these men and what did they want and for fucks sake can this just stop? It would have been smart to turn around and try to get back to the tower but he can't ever keep his mouth shut can he?
"Look I don't know who you are, I don't care what you want, but you're in my way, so move away if you know what's best." He intended to go for more sarcastic, but he was doing his best not to panic, so that had to do.
"You're coming with us, get in the car, or we'll do this the hard way." Their voices said they wouldn't hesitate, but Neil laughed anyway, that smile he knew was the Butcher's resting on his lips. Anything to make the men leave. He opened his mouth and then- "The Minyard twins are at Dr. Dobson's office. Reynolds, Walker, and Wilds are at the mall. Hemmick, Boyd and Day are in the dorms. The newbies are at the dorms as well. Come with us the easy way and we'll let them walk out of their respective places alive, Nathaniel."
And he was fucked. Of course he hadn't been safe, he would never be safe. In fact no one he cared about would ever be safe. He should have known better. But he wasn't going to let the foxes be harmed.
"How do I know you won't kill them anyway?" The snark was gone, the smile vanished. His face was blank and dangerous, because he'd done this before. "I don't even know who you are, you're obviously not the big guys, and I don't remember seeing your faces."
"We don't want to attract unnecessary attention. All we care about is you. If you come, you spare us all the trouble. As for who we are, let's just say someone is pissed at the piece of shit that ruined everything."
"The Butcher's friends then. I can't argue with that, it's a habit of mine to fuck up. Ichirou won't be too happy if something happened." He played his strongest card but fuck it. The Moriyamas owed him protection, Ichirou himself had made a deal with him.
"The moment they turned their backs to the Wesninski and made a deal with Hatford, those Japanese shits mean nothing to us." These were desperate men apparently. If the Moriyamas were nothing, the FBI was even less. "Time is running Nathaniel, decide. You or them?"
Andrew would kill him, but they'd talked about it before. Neil had told Andrew. If it means losing you, then no. He would not put himself first. Hell, he'd told the others before, the Foxes were all he had, he wasn't going to risk them for himself, not for anything. He needed to keep them safe.
So now he's lying on the cold wooden floor of some house or shed or whatever, drowsy from whatever they drugged him with once he got in the car, and in pain after being beaten for the last hour or so. He didn't bother asking the man (who is obviously in charge and sent the two men) for a name, and honestly he still doesn't plan to. What was the point of that anyway? He just looks up at the cold brown eyes of the man standing over him, Neil's face as neutral as he could keep it despite the fear of not making it out alive threatening to pull him under. The man just stares at him, calculative eyes and cruel smile, and Neil can't take it.
"What, so you're just gonna stand there? I have better shit to do." He hears the slur in his voice, wonders if it's just the drugs or something else. A concussion is likely. He's met with silence, so he closes his eyes and lays his head down. Fuck he's tired of these situations. He truly will never be safe, no one will-
"You know, I was expecting so much more from you Nathaniel," the man says with a laugh, "I was told that you'd put up a fight, I thought this would be fun. They said you'd beg for your precious life, but you haven't even made an effort."
Whoever his source was, they definitely do not know Neil, or Nathaniel for that matter. Not only is he not going to risk the men hurting the others, but he isn't going to fight, not against so many of them, not when running would be more likely to get him out alive. He isn't going to let them know that. "First go fuck yourself, and second, this isn't remotely close to entertaining to what I've been through, maybe if it was more interesting."
What does Andrew say? Regret is worthless? It seems right, because he can't find regret in what he said, even if his face is a bloody mess (what's new?) and his body shakes with shivers, after his head is held underwater so many times. No, he doesn't regret it. Instead he finds himself laughing a hollow thing.
"Y'know at least others have had a point, this time it's just for the fun of it, and it's not being much fun." His voice cracks a couple times, hoarse from coughing up water.
"You're right though, it is for fun. You cost me absolutely everything Nathaniel. Did you know the feds and the Moriyamas have been after us for months? Hunting us like we're rabbits, all because you decided to be a dipshit and open your mouth. You should be dead. You should have died ten years ago, back in March, anytime. All your existence caused us is trouble. And ratting us to the feds wasn't enough was it? No you told Ichirou all of the Butcher's men were loose ends, too." The man took a deep breath, composing himself. "So yes Nathaniel, this is for fun. This is payback, you've cost many lives, this is retribution for speaking, and I'm gonna enjoy seeing you have fun for as long as I can."
At some point, after hours, he's left alone in the dark, in the cold. He knows he’s in pain. He’s pretty sure his arm is broken, and so are several ribs. He knows he should be in a lot of pain, but he's just numb. Regret is worthless. Because even if he feels even worse than how he felt last winter at Evermore, he doesn’t regret it. He can’t be sure the guy’s men were truly going to kill the Foxes, but he doesn’t regret coming here to make sure the others don’t suffer more than they already have because of him. He wonders if Andrew will forgive him. He didn’t leave proof that he didn’t want to leave this time. Would Andrew think he left them - him? God, he hopes not. Would Andrew look for Neil or leave it thinking that Neil wanted to leave?
It doesn’t really matter, though. Neil is so tired. This time isn’t like when he was on the run or when he went to Evermore or when Lola took him. While with the Ravens, Kevin knew he was there at least, if anything were to happen, a person would know where to look somehow. At Baltimore, several people knew the most likely place to find him; Uncle Stewart, the Hatfords, Kevin again. He has no idea of where he is, or who took him, and no one knows he’s been taken in the first place. No one will ever find him.
Maybe it’s better that way, he thinks. No one will have to deal with the burden of him or his disappearance or his death, because no one will know. The simple thing would be to assume he ran. He hopes they assume he ran. Maybe they’ll be hurt, but haven’t they been expecting him to run? They won’t make it to championships without him considering Jack is an awful striker, but Kevin will manage. Andrew - Andrew is the one who expects him to run the most, maybe he’ll take it nicely. Neil hopes he takes it nicely. Guilt blossoms among the nothingness in his chest, but he can’t take it back, and he doesn’t want to. It’s better this way. No one will find him, but that’s fine. He wonders what the Moriyamas will do. He doesn’t want to think about that. He thinks of Andrew, the kisses, the care, the love, the nights spent together. Thank you, you were amazing. He wishes he could tell him how much he cares one last time. He feels something wet slip down his face. He can’t tell if it’s water, blood or tears. He sighs. He thinks of Andrew, and his eyes slip close.

Andrew Almost Stabs Nicky for the Thousandth Time - Part 2
(tw torture, child abuse, sexual abuse mention, suicide mention, knife and blood/injury mention)
Part 1
* * *
Neil turned his head as the door clicked open and Aaron walked in, his face flushed and a ghost of a smile on his lips. He’d been with Katelyn, no doubt. The smile disappeared the instant he saw Kevin’s face and worry filled his eyes when he followed Kevin’s gaze to the floor, where Neil was crouching in front of Nicky, tending to his neck.
“What the fuck happened?” he asked. “Neil what did you—“
“Shut up Aaron, I didn’t touch him,” Neil said before Aaron could accuse him of something. Neil turned back to Nicky. He had a smile on his face, but Neil could see past it. There was sill fear in his eyes, and his hands were still trembling.
“You’re doing that wrong,” Aaron pointed out, gesturing to the cotton pad Neil was using to clean Nicky’s cut. Neil ignored Aaron and looked at Nicky.
“Hey, Nicky,” he said, trying to get his attention from whatever world Nicky was in right now. He looked at Neil. “I’ll talk to him, okay?” Nicky shook his head.
“No, it was my fault, I shouldn’t have—“
“No, you shouldn’t have,” Neil cut in. “You shouldn’t have touched him. But Andrew can’t shove a knife against your throat every time you do something stupid. You’d be up against that wall all the time if he could,” Neil said, trying to get some sort of reaction from Nicky. It worked, and Nicky huffed a laugh. He was still shaken, but he’d relaxed slightly. “Are you going to be okay if I...” Neil trailed off, gesturing to the door. Nicky nodded.
“Yeah,” he said. “Go kick his ass for me,” he joked. Neil hadn’t seen Kevin move into the kitchen but when he came back he had a tub of ice cream and a spoon in his hands. He walked over to Nicky.
“What?” Nicky gasped. “No vegetables?” Kevin glared but shoved the tub of ice cream to him. Neil stood and turned to Aaron. He threw the bottle of disinfectant to him as he made his way toward the door.
“You do it properly, then, Doctor,” Neil said, finally answering Aaron’s comment from before. Aaron only levelled a sneer his way and walked over to Nicky.

Andrew was sitting on the edge of the roof, his legs dangling off the side of the building and a cigarette burning between his fingers. He didn’t turn at the sound of the door clicking open. Neil cleared his throat in case Andrew hadn’t heard and approached slowly. Andrew didn’t pass Neil a cigarette like he usually might’ve, but he didn’t object when Neil grabbed the packet next to him, took one out and lit it. Neil sat where the packet had been, keeping his distance from Andrew and letting his own legs hang in the cool afternoon air. Andrew let the smoke escape his mouth. Neil took note of the tremble in Andrew’s fingers. He thought back to his first trip to Columbia with the monsters, when he’d first witnessed Andrew going trough withdrawal from his medication. It had been the first time Neil had seen Andrew looking weak. Andrew flicked a rock off the ledge and watched it fall.
“It’d be easy, wouldn’t it? Tragic, too. Perfect end for a traumatised Fox like me, no?” Andrew pulled one knee up to his chest and puffed on his cigarette. Neil breathed in the smoke of his own cigarette and tried not to imagine watching another person he loved die. He’d seen enough of that already.
“If you wanted to die, you’d have done it already,” Neil shrugged, looking out over the campus. “So there has to be something you want to live for.” A moment of comfortable silence fell between them like a blanket over the troubles of the day. Andrew’s next words were quiet, like he didn’t quite want to say them.
“You,” he said. Neil snapped his head to Andrew. He hadn’t been expecting that bit of honesty. “And Aaron, and Kevin and even fucking Nicky,” he said, stubbing out his cigarette. Neil did the same and shifted closer to Andrew, but still kept his distance.
“Why?” he asked. Andrew knew what he meant. Why’d you react so badly?
“He touched me without my permission,” Andrew said. That was enough, Neil understood. But he’d seen the way Andrew’s eyes had shifted at Nicky’s words. He knew there was more to it than that.
“When my dad found out I was ticklish,” Neil started, and it got Andrew’s attention, “he had—he had Lola run knives all over my body. Any time I flinched, or squirmed or laughed, the knives would cut me, just slightly. Every day until I could keep still with a straight face. It took three weeks,” Neil finished. Andrew’s eyes raked Neil’s torso like he could see the scars underneath. He nodded. Andrew knew what Neil was asking. I gave you something, now you give me something. Andrew knew, just like Neil did, that he didn’t have to return the favour. That if he decided he didn’t want to talk about it, Neil wouldn’t push. But Andrew watched his trembling hands for a moment and looked back at Neil.
“Drake found out I was ticklish,” he said simply. Neil felt the words like a blow to the gut, even if he’d been expecting just as much. He nodded. Andrew turned and laid along the concrete ledge, one of his legs still hanging. Neil lit his cigarette again, breathing in the acrid smell of the smoke.
“Nicky’s pretty shaken,” Neil said. Andrew blindly threw another rock off the edge and Neil watched it miss a student on the ground by a few inches.
“I warned him.”
“You can’t keep putting a knife to Nicky’s throat when he does something dumb.”
“Don’t tell me what to do, Junkie.”
“I can’t.”
“What?” Andrew sat up, shoving his hands in the pocket of his hoodie and staring at Neil.
“I don’t know how many times you’ve told me I can’t put a leash on you. I don’t want to,” Neil said. Andrew raised his eyebrows. “I can’t tell you what to do and I don’t want to tell you what to do.” Neil thought back to the day Andrew had put Neil’s hand on his chest. I won’t be like them, Neil had said. I won’t let you let me be. Neil knew Andrew was thinking it too. “He needs to know something, even the smallest amount, or one day, Nicky’s gonna grow a spine and he’s going to walk away.”
“That’ll be his choice, then,” Andrew said.
“And you’ll let someone that’s supposedly one of your reasons to live go just like that?”
“One down, three to go,” Andrew said, locking eyes with Neil. He’d been holding four fingers up but now there were only three.
“No,” Neil said. Andrew blinked. “You’re not getting rid of me, Drew.” Neil stood and walked closer to Andrew, but stayed out of arm’s reach. “I’ve been running my whole life. I’m tired of it. I’m not running anymore. Not from you.” Neil waited for Andrew to say something, and after a while he started to think that maybe he should have kept his mouth shut. Neil wasn’t very good at doing that, though. Finally, Andrew stood, leaving only inches between him and Neil.
“What would you have me say to Nicky?” Andrew asked, like he didn’t really care for the answer.
“I- you don’t need to tell him why. Not really, anyway. I think just be real with him, Drew. Sit him down and tell him that he needs to respect your boundaries and you don’t want him to touch you unless he specifically asks.”
“I’ve told him,” Andrew responded dryly.
“With a knife to his throat.”
“That should get the message across clearly enough, I think.”
“Andrew,” Neil said because he knew not to say please. That seemed to get Neil’s message across clearly enough, because Andrew took the cigarette—almost burnt down to the butt—from Neil’s hand and let it drop to the ground.
“What are you tired of running from?” Andrew asked. There was a glint of something in Andrew’s eyes then. He wasn’t used to asking for help, but Neil thought this was something close to that. Andrew was admitting something—that he needed Neil.
“Reality,” Neil said. “I’m not used to being a real person. You proved to me that I could be. With you.” Andrew looked away, like the statement was too heavy to bare right now.
“Yes or no?” Andrew asked. Neil furrowed his brow, confused.
“Yes,” he said anyway. Andrew nodded.
“I don’t want to be touched right now,” Andrew said. It was Neil’s turn to nod this time, and as he did so, he shoved his hands in his pockets. Andrew took his own hands out of his hoodie and placed one on Neil’s chest, using it like a spacer between them as he leant and kissed Neil.
Andrew tasted like smoke and vanilla and Neil had to clench his hands into fists in his pocket to stop himself from reaching for Andrew, from pulling him closer and kissing him deeper. When Andrew finally broke away, he handed Neil his lighter and the pack of cigarettes in his pocket.
“I’ll talk to Nicky,” he said. Neil nodded. As Andrew made his way to the door that would lead him downstairs, he glanced back at Neil.
“Don’t run away, Rabbit.” Neil only sent him a two fingered salute in return.

✨Crush Culture✨
Daffy was fed up, he knew that “babysitting” the Warner kids was going to be tough, but Christ had they really been one hell of nuisance, not as bad as a certain rabbit, but pretty close. The eldest, Yakko Warner had to be the one who reminded him of Bugs the most, with his smart alac mouth, and his constant prying it was probably the worst combination. As for the other two, dot only really needed to be giving enough attention and affection to satisfy her needs, and wakko was the easiest of all, he literally just wanted food, but again, all three at once was..a tornado of chaos. It had been a long day and the youngest had managed to tire themselves out, thank god, all that was left was Yakko and boy oh boy was he still as energetic as ever. Daffy at this point figured the oldest wouldn’t be too much to handle, at this rate he was a mini bugs, that wasn’t so bad right?
Wrong. So very, very, very wrong.
Yakko immediately came over and started asking questions, he even did a bit as he got dressed in a flash as a news reporter. Daffy only rolled his eyes and sat down on the sofa in defeat, he couldn’t exactly say no, cause the little runt would just keep going, so he decided to just give in. Usually people would be surprised with the Daffy’s lack of motivation to talk about himself to someone, but that was all an act, he knew cameras were filming him at all times, even behind scenes, so when he was absolutely sure no one was around, he’d just be quiet. That’s when a hand snapped in front of his face a few times as it cut his thoughts short.
“Sorry..” he mumbled as he rubbed at his tired eyes, he really did need a better sleep schedule. Yakko only huffed and started over, much to daffy’s dismay, but again..that’s what he gets for being distracted.
“Right so, first question; ‘Who’s older you or Bugs?’” He said as he held a notepad eagerly. Daffy responded quickly, not because of eagerness, but because of his annoyance.
“I’m older than Bugs, most people assume he is because of how we are on set, but nope. I’m the old pouty jerk.” At this statement, Yakko grinned and the expression he made almost made daffy regret even going along with it.
“Ok, ok, next question”- he paused for a second and snickered before continuing, “Gramps, who’s the one person on set ya enjoy working with the most?” Daffy frowned and thought for a moment before answering.
“Porky, he’s the most bearable, everyone else is either too snarky, too over the top, or just annoying to me.” At this, Yakko raised an eyebrow and shrugged it off, before going on to say something that made Daffy’s heart stop for a few seconds. “So..gramps, I know everyone on set had their fling of sorts...so, who’s yours?”
“I’m sorry, but..could you possibly repeat that?” He said, feeling a surge of anxiety running through his veins. Yakko picked up on it of course, but made no comment other than going on in more detail. “I mean, Porky has petunia, Pepe has well anyone at this point, and yknow..some are single and like to be all flirty like.,uhh Bugs, or lola, Y’know?” Daffy just swallowed and quickly looked around for more cameras, or maybe even a fellow actor, but he was alone.
Yakko now fully aware that he made Daffy beyond anxious decided to try to calm him down, he reached over and took daffy’s hand in his own and gave it a small squeeze, he had done it a million times with his sibs, and while daffy may have been older, that didn’t mean he didn’t deserve some type of affection from a friend.
“So..?” Yakko tried again, his tone a bit more gentle this time.
“It’s uh-..” Daffy began when the door had opened to reveal none other than Bugs Bunny himself. At this, Yakko looked over in awe, Bugs was his idol and he couldn’t help it if his tail started wagging, but Daffy could, he only crossed his arms and leaned further back into the sofa almost grimacing.
“Eh..sorry to interrupt, but... can I have a seat?” Daffy only rolled his eyes, but didn’t make a move to tell him to leave, so Bugs took it as his invitation to sit down. Yakko only smiled excitedly, before realizing he had gotten distracted, he quickly flushed and turned back to Daffy regaining his composure. “Sorry, um..right so about that question?” Daffy visibly cringed and spoke carefully, as he eyed Bugs. “It’s..no one” At this Yakko raised an eyebrow and leaned forward enough that Daffy couldn’t look away.
“You’re lying.” Daffy felt his lungs deflate and he stared back at him for a good five seconds before retorting a little to hastily
“What do you mean? I’m not lying, I just said it was no one!” Daffy said as he started to fidget uncomfortably, he couldn’t help it as he kept his eyes wandering, landing anywhere, but the two toons in front of him. He went so far as to start whistling and twiddle his thumbs. Yakko and Bugs looked at each other before bugs cleared his throat snapping Daffy’s attention towards him. “Daff.” He said as daffy only glanced away, “Daffy.” He repeated and said as he grabbed Daffy’s arm and held a firm yet gentle grip on it. Daffy pulled away and sighed annoyed.
“Fine, fine, I was lying, so what? Sue me.” At this, Yakko’s eyes widened as he had a revelation and he grinned, and then jumped over and sat next to Daffy holding up his hands as a picture frame and grinned even more as Daffy gawked and looked at Yakko eyes wide full of fear and anxiety as he slapped his hands down, his face beyond red at this point so much so, you could see it past the layer of his black feathers. “So..old man Daffy likes-“ Daffy stood up and slapped a hand over his mouth as yakko’s eyes were filled with delight. He groaned aloud as he muttered “I knew this was a bad idea.”
Bugs chuckled at the display as the two faced him, nearly forgetting he was there. Daffy felt his heart pump a bit faster as he sat down and cleared his throat. “S-sorry...um what’s your deal here again?”
“Eh..nothing, just wanted to check in and see how you were doing being a family man, and honestly? I’m kind of surprised, I didn’t think you’d be this good with kids Daff.” Bugs said as he gestured towards Wakko and Dot, who were tucked in and sleeping with smiles on their faces. Daffy felt himself smile a bit at the compliment and shook his head when feeling yakko’s gaze on him. “Right well, certainly wasn’t easy..especially this one.” He says as he makes a gesture towards Yakko who leans back on the couch in mock offense, he even fakes a gasp as he speaks “Excuse you! I am an angel” he says as he sprouts cartoony wings and a halo appear above him as he holds a harp, it quickly disappears as daffy continues. “He reminds me too much of you.” At this bugs grinned and leaned forward a bit eyeing daffy before teasingly adding in, “So you do think about me!”
Daffy’s eyes widened once again as he glared at Bugs watching the rabbit grin sheepishly as he waved his hands back and forth as if to say he was only kidding, Daffy’s face felt hot and that’s when yakko had pointed it out had daffy sat down immediately and took a deep breath. “Don’t flatter yourself carrot head.” Daffy said through gritted teeth “Aw, I love you too Daffy.” Bugs replied blowing a kiss his way as a cartoon heart flew over and landed right on Daffy’s mouth, his whole face turning red instantly. Yakko grinned and Bugs smiled a bit a slight blush on his face too, alothough much subtler than Daffy’s, as the Duck started freaking out and ran away only to come back his face soaked from what the two assumed to be water from the sink, imagining he dunked his head in several times.
“So, when’s the wedding?” Yakko asked smirking at Daffy as the duck only glared daggers towards him, still soaking, Bugs produced a towel and threw it at Daffy’s face as the duck graciously took it and started rubbing at his head.
“Never.” Daffy said, as he finished and threw it back at Bugs who caught it and folded it as he put it down to the side.
“Hopefully sooner than later, I really like Daffy..” Bugs said aloud as a grin made its way to his face when Daffy’s reaction had happened. “ARRGH I HATE WHEN YOU DO THAT!” he said as he quickly groaned, Bugs only smiling more, before continuing to press further “Do what, love? Just compliment you on your adorable outbursts? Or maybe when I watch you turn redder than a tomato just because of my kisses?” Daffy only buried his face deeper in his hands, hoping he’d just disappear. Bugs decided to step it up, as he walked over and sat down next to Daffy as yakko switched places and sat on the other sofa. He gently removed Daffy’s hands and cupped his face as he gave him a gentle kiss on his bill, watching as the the other literally just stared at him eyes wide, mouth open slightly as he tried to form a sentence, his face so red his feathers looked red. Bugs only smiled lovingly at the sight, he absolutely lived for the very concept of him being the only one who made Daffy act this way.
“I think someone’s got a crush” yakko stated, as daffy literally just stared at him in shock, Bugs nodded and turned to face yakko, as daffy just sat there.
“Eh, I wouldn’t be surprised, I mean he’s irresistible, but how’d you guess?” At this Yakko and Daffy literally stared at bugs before Daffy spoke up.
“...He was talking about me.” At that moment Bugs’ eyes widened ever so slightly and his ears raised more in alarm as his face turned a nice red. Yakko literally started laughing as daffy only stared at the flustered rabbit who was quickly trying to come up with something to help his case.
“Oh wow, you guys are a riot! How did you two not know about the others feelings? Why if I had been around for all of this,Jesus I’d be a swearing sailor by now!” Yakko laughed a bit louder as he wiped a few tears from his eye. Daffy only stared at bugs before quietly rethinking everything as bugs only laughed a bit in defeat.
Daffy was really tired at that point just grabbed Bugs by his chest fur and pulled him close before muttered gently “You’re despicable” as he kissed him full force just annoyed with him and glad to have him at the same time. Bugs stiffened before just going along with it, as yakko whistled.
“Goodnight everybody!” Yakko said laughing still

Across The Serververse Chapter 3
Hey! I'm back. Firstly, thank you to @thatsalotoftoons, @preciouslittletoonette and @ananicoleta for commenting and reblogging this.
Secondly, this chapter is what I like to call the 'explanation chapter'. I've tried not to info-dump, and I've edited it at least 3 different times trimming it down, so hopefully this is not to complicated, but I must admit the Serververse really intrigues me as a world and I'm really looking forward to exploring it through this.
See chapter 1 for the disclaimer and let's crack on.
Every other time Bugs had been to WB Central it had been buzzing, characters from all properties walking around, a few friendly arguments, a few hard-core fights, even a few drag races [usually the car kind, not the Queen kind]
Now however, it was quiet. Vewy, very quiet as a certain well-known hunter would say. There were quite a lot of characters milling around the place, but none of the energy that usually accompanied them. Also, it was dark, Bugs realised, not pitch-black, but darker than usual. Like someone had placed a cover over a still-turned on screen.
“Eh...what happened?” Bugs asked Pepe and Penelope.
They looked just as confused as him. “We do not know.” Pepe admitted.
“We’ve been on that cruise for 6 months, we’ve not been back here.” Penelope said, looking close to tears. “This iz awful”“ She added, tears springing to her eyes.
As Pepe started to try and calm her down, a familiar voice lifted Bugs’s spirit.
“Bugs, Pepe, Penelope! How lovely to see you all again!”
“Marvin!” Bugs exclaimed in delight, running over to the little Martian, picking him up and swinging him round joyously. “Am oi glad ta see you! What’s happened here? It’s like someone’s cut de power!”
“You’re more correct than you might think.” Marvin said, when Bugs had put him down. “Warner Brothers have seen fit to disable the entire system until they can get access to it again. Theirs's a problem, you understand. It appears the ‘famous Looney Tunes characters-” Here here made air quotes. “- have been put into different worlds. None of the humans can figure out why and are attributing it to a virus. They’ve called in multiple Information Technology people, but none of them can figure it out. Then again.” Marvin conceded. “I highly doubt any of them have dealt with a sentient A.I. before. All we know is it’s causing panic in the human verse - you can hear it if you get close enough to the portal - and what they’ve done is essentially put the worlds the other Looney’s have gone into into ‘freeze mode’ so they can’t shift or do anything else until they figure out what’s going on.” At the end of that rather lengthy explanation, Marvin sighed. “They may be there for quite some while.”
“So...lemme get dis straight.” Bugs said, thoughtfully. “We can’t get to the human world?”
“That is correct. Rhythm has blocked the portal into the human world to all WB characters.”
“And we can’t get in and out of the other worlds the rest of the fam are stuck in?”
“That is correct.” Marvin said, again. “Although-” He added. “-I think that may change now. Might I enquire how you guys got here?”
Bugs explained the events leading up to this moment - including how Rhythm had flung the toons to the other worlds - and Marvin nodded. “Interesting. I think I understand, but it requires a bit more explanation. Please walk with me while I fill us all in. Now, you may be wondering how I knew where to find you? I simply used my Tracker-3000 from Mars-” Marvin waved the device in the air. “-to track where you were. It’s a device I had gifted for me from the King Of Neptune. I had hoped I would never need to use it, but unfortunately I have-”
“-You’ve tracked us?” Bugs echoed, more than slightly disturbed.
Marvin blinked. “Yes. Was that not clear? Please, do not think I did this idly. I hoped I wouldn’t need to ever use the trackers, but unfortunately I have had to. Anyway, I could see that you, Bugs, were in Tune Town, but none of us could get to you. I made further investigations with some of the more technically advanced characters here and it looks like Rhythm has placed a block on all current WB characters. None of us can enter or leave any of the other worlds. You may be able to see where I’m going with this?” he added, as an aside.
“Pepe isn’t a current character.” Penelope said, softly.
Marvin nodded eagerly. “Correct, sister. As Pepe isn’t a current character it seems he can travel between the worlds, and - judging by the fact you are here as well and the boat showed no issue with travelling - it seems that anything he is travelling on or with is likewise given ‘a free pass’, so to speak. Now-” Marvin cleared his throat. “I wish to seek clarification on this point, so please forgive my impertinence - but at the exact moment you and Pepe travelled through to Toon world were you...” A faint blush adjured the Martians cheeks. “...touching at all?”
“We were holding hands.” Penelope said, easily. “We were the second time as well.”
“Hold on, oi wasn't holdin’ hands with them.” Bugs said, quickly.
“No, but you were in ‘Big Chungus’ form, so that was probably what allowed you access. Now, with that information in mind, I would guess, Pepe, that anything you are touching - be it an inanimate object or another toon, will travel through as well. Or maybe it’s just everything that is on something you’re touching can travel as well?” Marvin added, thoughtfully. “That would explain how the captain of the boat could travel-”
Bugs groaned and ran a hand across his forehead. “Look Marvin, as fascinating as all dis is, it’s a bit much. Can you jus’ tell me where de others are so we can get going?”
“Certainly. Could you just remind me who actually got teleported, please?”
That was no issue for Bugs as the images would forever be burned into his mind. “Daffy, Porky, Lola, Elmer, Sylvester, Tweety, Granny, Speedy, Wile.E, Road-Runner, Foghorn, Taz, Yosemite Sam, Gossamer and Witch Hazel.”
“Well, I can help you with one of them.” Marvin said, as they finally approached the ‘Toon-Town’ section of W.B.C. “Just through here.” And he pressed open the door.
Inside the door was a world that was exactly like the ‘Toon Town’ from ‘Who framed Rodger Rabbit’ but without the Disney characters.
Marvin led Bugs, Pepe and Penelope through Toon Town until they reached Foghorn Leghorn’s barn.
“Look, I say, look who came back!”
Bugs’s grin threatened to split his face as he saw the rooster heading towards him, arms outstretched in welcome.
“Foghorn!” The rabbit leapt on his younger brother and hugged him tightly. “Oh, I thought you was a gonner!”
“It, I say, it takes more than some computer to get rid of me.” Foghorn said, proudly. “I always come back!”
“Of course.” Dawg’s [AKA George.P.Dog’s] dry voice said, from about two foot away. “It ‘elps that your ‘random location’ was here and not - say - Game Of Thrones.”
Foghorn put Bugs down and said - as an aside. “That, I say, that’s a shout out, readers.”
“I think they got that, Foggy.” Dawg said, rolling his eyes.
It was at this point that Penelope interrupted, asking if Foghorn had just been transported to W.B.C or if anything else had happened.
“No, I just, I say, I just woke up here.”
“Woke up?” Bugs echoed.
Foghorn looked a bit sheepish and looked at Barnyawd.
George explained that 5 and a half months ago Foghorn had just literally dropped out of the sky and onto Dawg’s head. “Once I got da fat lump off of me, I saw he was unconscious and not funny unconscious-” Dawg clarified. “But actually unconscious. He was like dat for about a day or two before he woke up ag’in-” Dawg took a sharp breath as the memory hit him. He steadied himself and then continued with. “-And when he woke up he told us all what had happened. By that point though we knew something bad was going on because not only had this happened-” Here George indicated the dark surroundings. “But a few of us toons had tried to get through to the Human World and couldn’t. All it took was Marvin then double-checking the trackers he’s put on us-”
“-Yeah, cahn we go back to dat at some point?” Bugs asked.
“-An’ he saw the different worlds our family’s been split up into and then when Foggy woke up he confirmed the entire thing.” Dawg sighed and ran his hands over his face. “It’s been a nightmare worrying about them all dis time, because we’ve had no idea where they are or what they’re doing or if they’re bein tor-”
“Yeah, Oi did that spiel back in chapter 2.” Bugs said impatiently. “Right. Oi think oi get it now. Let’s go, Martian-” Bugs grabbed Marvin's arm and pulled him away. “We got a family ta save!”
“Wait, oh wait!” Bugs and Marvin skidded to a halt to see Junior [Sylvester's son] running towards them.
“Eh...what’s up kid?” The rabbit asked, getting down to Juniors level.
Junior stopped sharply - accidently kicking a cloud of dust into the two toons faces - and, with one arm dramatically flung across his face, said. “Oh, Uncle Bugs, I know you have a lot of toons to get, but may I PLEASE request you start with my father? He is silly and often doesn’t think things through, but he’s my father and I love him so. May I please request you start with him and bring him back? I miss him.” At the end of Junior’s spiel, Bugs burst into noisy sobs and, getting a large handkerchief out of his pocket, wiped his eyes with it before wringing it out into a random bucket.
“Of couirse I will.” he promised. “Jus’ watch me. Oi’ll aim to have him back as soon as possible. Now-” Bugs stood up and signalled to Marvin.  “-Let’s go, short-stack.”
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
“Now we wish to make this simple.” Marvin said, as he Bugs, Pepe and Penelope entered the spaceship. “So, if I just pull up a list-” He did so. “The trackers I put on you all will enable me to see exactly where you all are at any given moment.”
“Yeah, can we go back to dose trackers at some point?” Bugs asked.
Ignoring him, Marvin continued. "So, as you can see,  Sylvester is here." He pointed to 'Cartoon Network World'. "I'll just see if there's anyone with him. Bear with." A few moments of typing later and the trackers for Tweety, Yosemite Sam and Taz lit up. Marvin's eyes went wide and typed again. The screen zeroed in on Cartoon Network planet, showing a breakdown of the different sections of it. "Okay." Marvin said, slowly. "That is interesting. Sylvester and Tweety are both in Coolsville, AKA 'Scooby-Doo World' and it seems like there in the 1960's universe."
"Eh...it would hav' ta be Coolsville." Bugs muttered. "What wiv it's population of crazy crooks an' all."
"You just need to change into Chungus and then we can go." Marvin said, pointedly.
Bugs slapped his forehead. "Oops, I forgot!" He transformed into Big Chungus and gave Marvin a thumbs up.
Nodding the Martian pressed the 'arrive as close to as possible' button and the spaceship faded away.

“You’re the only one I wanna wake up next to.” Andriel obv
Hello, okay, thank you, so, the deal with this,, is that I’m now in love with writing Andreil but of course this is a Harry Potter blog so I made a new account (@yes-or-no) for aftg and will probably be writing some things there,, for now this will be posted here but yes, thank you very much and I hope you like it :))
(tw nightmares, torture and scar mention)
* * *
100. “You’re the only one I wanna wake up next to.”
Neil wasn’t unfamiliar with nightmares. It wasn’t an unusual occasion for him to wake up in a cold sweat, subconsciously reaching for the gun under his pillow before he realised it wasn’t there. Before he realised he didn’t need it anymore. He wasn’t sure whether to take comfort in that fact, though. All his life had consisted of running and now that Neil was allowed to stay still, he didn’t know how to act. Especially when he was still running in his dreams. Neil’s nightmares consisted mostly of flashbacks from his past; his father’s sly grin and pacing feet, his mother’s lifeless body stuck to the seat of the car, the burning in his lungs as he ran for his life, stretching out his arm to hold onto his mother’s hands and falling just an inch short as Lola caught him, held him as he watched his mother’s legs carry her farther and farther away from him. But often his nightmares were something new; Neil restrained while he watched Riko holding Kevin down, hurting him just the way he’d hurt Neil at the Nest. Matt and Nicky falling from the force of Riko’s exy racket, beaten to pulps in front of Neil because they were trying to defend him. Renee standing in front of the Foxes, chin up to Neil’s father while he just smiled at them, cleaver in hand. And then there was tonight’s. Tonight, Lola had carved each one of Neil’s scars into Andrew’s body, leaving him stained and marked just like Neil.
Neil stood from the couch. He’d come out here to try and fall back asleep, but he wasn’t having any luck. The house in Columbia was silent. There were no sounds of late-night college parties or drunk laughter floating through the slightly cracked window. There was only silence, the calm sound of the suburbs and the warm summer air drifting into the house. The silence was something Neil was still getting used to. Waking up and feeling secure was something Neil was still getting used to. He walked over to the kitchen and flicked the light on. The clock next to the fridge said it was somewhere past 3 am. Neil reached for the cord above the sink, pulling the blinds shut so that no one could see in. It was a small, useless act, but it calmed Neil’s nerves nonetheless. He flicked the kettle on and reached for a mug, placing a teabag in. A door clicked from across the room. Neil turned to look. Andrew was standing in the doorway, his face illuminated by the soft glow of the kitchen light. Neil knew that Andrew could be silent if he wanted to–the click of the door had been a warning that he was coming in. He nodded to Andrew and pulled out another mug.
“Did I wake you up?” Neil croaked out, his voice still coated with sleep. There wasn’t much of a point to the question–Andrew slept just about as well as Neil did–and Andrew didn’t answer. Instead, he padded over to Neil and reached for the jar of sugar, heaping some into his mug with a teaspoon. Neil felt a sense of warmth form in his chest at the familiarity of it. The kettle flicked off and Neil poured the boiling water into both mugs. Andrew was already at the fridge, and he held the milk out for Neil before reaching into the freezer for a tub of ice-cream. He scooped some into his mouth with the teaspoon he was still holding. Neil huffed a laugh and reached for a bigger spoon, holding it out to Andrew with the milk he’d finished with. Andrew took the spoon and put the milk in the fridge. Neil handed Andrew his hot chocolate once he’d positioned himself atop the kitchen counter. It was… a sight to behold, Neil thought. Andrew in just his boxers and a black t-shirt, sitting on the kitchen counter eating his ice-cream. A loose strand of his hair was resting above his eyebrow, and Neil wanted nothing more than to brush it backwards and have his hands in those curls. Andrew would likely pull his knife on Neil for thinking such stupid things.
“Staring.” Andrew’s voice cut through Neil’s thoughts, but it was a welcome interruption. Neil moved to stand across from Andrew, holding back the apology he knew Andrew would only make him take back. He watched Neil for a moment before he put the lid back on the ice cream. “My turn, right?” he asked. Neil had to think for a moment before he realised what Andrew was asking. He nodded. “Why did you leave to sleep on the couch?” Andrew’s question wasn’t what Neil had been expecting. It was...concerned. Maybe even hurt. Andrew thought it was about him, Neil realised.
“Oh, it didn’t—it wasn’t…” Neil trailed off and Andrew raised an eyebrow. Neil needed to think. He grabbed the ice cream container from the counter and took it to the fridge in silence. When he returned, he stood across from Andrew again, but this time he was within arm’s reach.
“I had a nightmare,” Neil finally choked out. Andrew didn’t have any observable reaction, just nodded for Neil to keep going if he wanted to. “Lola,” Neil said, like that explained it all. It did, in a way. Andrew gave him a look, something along the lines of stop talking if you don’t want to. It was a fine line that Andrew and Neil were treading on. Neil had never trusted easily—a result of living most of his life on the run—and yet he often felt obligated to give himself up. When there was a question asked, he would answer no matter how much it might pick at his sense of security. He trusted Andrew, because Andrew trusted him. Just like how Neil stopped when Andrew said no, Andrew didn’t pry if Neil didn’t want him to. Neil was just having a problem knowing whether he wanted to or not. This nightmare, it seemed, wasn’t something he wanted to talk about.
Andrew nodded in understanding and instead hooked his fingers in the collar of Neil’s shirt.
Neil shuffled forward at the small tug Andrew gave his shirt, but stopped just short of the counter, where Neil’s hips would sit between Andrew’s knees.
“Does it help to sleep out here?” Andrew asked, meaning does it help to sleep away from me? Neil considered it for a moment. Having another weight in his bed was certainly a slightly jarring situation at first, after being away from his mother for so long, but when he thought about it, Neil always slept well when Andrew’s warmth was next to him. He couldn’t say the same for the couch, for when he slept alone.
“No,” he said, and it was the truth. Something shifted slightly in Andrew’s eyes, but neither of them acknowledged it.
Neil looked up at Andrew, who was sitting a few inches taller than Neil on the kitchen counter, and glanced back down at the space between them. Andrew nodded a simple yes and Neil stepped forward, positioning the front of his body against the counter and leaving only a few inches of room between Andrew and Neil’s mouths.
“Yes or no?” Neil asked. This was a different question and a simple nod wouldn’t suffice. Andrew grabbed a hold of Neil’s hands, not at all fazed by the mural of cuts and burns on them, and placed them on each of his thighs, bare below the boxers that had ridden up Andrew’s legs.
“Yes,” Andrew drawled, and hooked his two fingers around Neil’s collar again, pulling him forward.
Neil would never cease to be amazed at the feel of Andrew’s hands on his skin, the warmth in his chest at their mingled breaths and soft touches. Kissing Andrew was another world, another dimension, and it was all his. Neil stepped back when he started to feel his hands itch toward Andrew’s waist. He shoved them in his pockets. The curl on Andrew’s forehead was still there, hanging so beautifully out of place. Neil moved his hand slowly, slow enough that Andrew could track it and stop it if he wanted to. Still, before Neil actually touched Andrew, he hesitated.
“Can I?” he asked. Andrew rolled his eyes, but nodded nonetheless and Neil reached forward to brush the curl from Andrew’s face. When Neil looked him in the eye, Andrew rolled his again and smacked Neil’s hand away. Neil stepped out of the way when Andrew slid down from the counter and picked up his mug of hot chocolate.
“Sleep back in the bed. Yes or no?” Andrew asked, always making sure Neil was comfortable. Neil remembered the glint of hurt in Andrew’s eyes, the fear that Neil didn’t want to be near him. Neil knew better than to make a comment on it, so instead he tipped his unfinished tea down the sink and smirked.
“You know you’re the only one I want to wake up next to,” he said, watching Andrew for a a reaction. Andrew only glared and took a sip of his hot chocolate.
“Don’t be stupid,” he said. Neil smirked some more.
“I thought you liked my stupidity.” Andrew glared some more before he downed almost the whole mug of hot chocolate and dumped it in the sink. He grumbled something about stupid, mouthy rabbits before he grabbed a loose hold of Neil’s wrist and dragged him out of the kitchen and back to the bedroom. Neil flicked the kitchen light off on the way out.

@hoopsheartthrob said to bitofsin: ☄ LOLA for Gabby~
Leave a ☄ in my askbox and a character's name and you'll hear the first thought my character would have if they woke up naked and in bed with that person.
Gabby was a notoriously light sleeper. A bug could land on a pillow in the next room, and she’d snap awake, and swear there was a home invasion. ( Well, maybe not that light, but... ) The fact was, Gabby had woken up first after nothing jarring her. There she laid, wide awake for at least 10 minutes, staring widely at the ceiling while Lola slept crumpled up next to her, a breath away. It wouldn’t be strange for either of them to wake up so close in any other time, except for one glaring difference.
It started off innocent enough, playing around and light rough-housing, but after the pool incident, ( and way before with the bar incident ) they really didn’t think it would escalate further. Stupid. They could have stopped at any time, and there were a few brief moments where it almost did, buuuuuut....they kept going until it was too late. Gabby side-eyed her, taking a breath, struggling to decide what to do; it’d be SO much easier if it was awkward, flimsy, and terrible sex. Because they could both laugh it off as a ‘never again oops!’ and probably go back to normal. But it wasn’t awkward, flimsy, or terrible sex. This is exactly the kind of drama she avoided with everybody, and now it was challenging their rare and precious friendship.
Olive-colored arms folded over the sheet tucked around her breasts, as she willed herself to either run far from the scene in 5 seconds before Lola woke up, or wake Lola up and....address this. Stomach in knots, she didn’t get her chance to pick, because the rabbit was yawning wide and shifting next to her. Lashes blinked cautiously as the eagle-peahen watched her from the corner of her eyes.
Tumblr media
Swallowing, she clenched at the sheet, and sighed deeply. “I’ll move out now, if it’s easier.”

"Sooo what's it like workin' for a company like Warner Brothers?" for Ozzy's toon verse?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The white blood cell looks over at the other, then leans back against the wall he was propped against, arms crossed with one ankle over the other. Working for the big WB was fine, and he enjoyed it around the time when his movie was popular, but the sad truth was, it wasn’t as glamorous and fun as one would expect. Especially if you’re a toon. Sure, the company made a lot of interesting films and cartoons, and was praised for its goal of laughter to others, but corporate greed was almost the heart of the whole system...With Plotz running the joint with those freakin’ suits, anyway. Most workers, toons and humans alike, went in for long and sometimes boring board meetings, had lunch, lead tours for the lot, worked security, discussed ideas and designs for new cartoons, hired actors and voice actors, did animation, wrote scripts, constructed the sets, organized paperwork and such...Most of it sounds swell, right? Well, some had it a bit rougher; There was also fetching props for scenes (Some of these props could come alive and cause mischief, so it was hard to keep them wrangled.), bringing in coffee or food for the actors, cleaning the studios and sets and such, keeping toons under control...It was a lot. And toons themselves? They basically had no rights, because of the humans. They were basically at the bottom of the food chain. And if any one of them caused a problem or was unruly, they were either fired, demoted, or even erased. They were sometimes stereotyped as moronic, goofy, and sometimes sexualized (Like Lola Bunny and Jessica Rabbit for example.) beings, just there for the audience’s amusement and entertainment and nothing more. Things had gotten a bit better as time went forward though, and some were fighting for toons to be treated equally like humans and actually respecting them and their work, but it was still a long way to go. The cell had even heard long ago that they invented the DIP, a means of destroying toons for good if they ever got out of line. The substance had been removed ever since that case with Roger Rabbit WAY before his time, but even some humans kept a bit of it just in case at the studio. They were threatened with it on a regular basis. One hearing of the ugly side of the studio would be appalled. Ozzy learned the hard way about it; When Osmosis Jones bombed, the cell and his pill friend were demoted to lot security. Ozzy wasn’t too happy about it, and had mouthed off to the board of directors a bit. For that, they tried to redo his franchise completely with Ozzy and Drix, a show that was made a year after the movie’s release. This annoyed the toon cell, but also gave him some hope that maybe he could redeem himself with the series. However, due to budget issues, the show was cancelled, and once again the neutrophil and his partner were back to guard duty on the Warner Lot, mostly to keep an eye on the Warners and kick out intruders. Lame gig, huh? One day you’re a movie star, the next you’re working a toll booth. Though Ozzy’s franchise had recovered its money loss from the movie on home video, and the movie itself had become a valuable tool for middle school and high school science classes, he still felt bitter about how he’d been treated by the studio. He was still recognized...But only because of Chris Rock.
Ozzy just shrugged his shoulders.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Closing the front door behind him, Ben couldn't help but smile at the change. He had gone from half an hour of driving with his playlist on to coming home where there was a kids tv show blasting out and many voices shouting and squealing through the house. On the days he came home and found no noise it actually started to worry him because he was so accustomed to hearing kids running about or blabbering to themselves and hearing (Y/n)'s voice singing to them or trying to calm them all down.
Ben knew that a lot of people liked to go home to a quiet house or to an empty house but he liked coming home to the noise and the bustling house that was always alive.
Pushing his shoes into the allotted space on the rack to his left, Ben wandered down the hall into the kitchen. Heading into the room leading off the kitchen which they referred to as the playroom. It was a rather big room all things considered and joined onto the conservatory where they had the dinner table.
The playroom was a pale blue that looked almost grey and had a few stickered quotes on the walls from children's books. There was a bookshelf to the left as he walked in which held various aged children's books, there was a box in the corner of action figures and little toys and there was a cupboard of stuffed toys and cars and dolls. On the right there was a cabinet that held the tv on top and lots of DVDs and children's programmes as well as some colours and paper.
Ben stood in the doorway to the room, not moving much further as there wasn't all that much room. One of the kids had tipped one of the tubs over and scattered figurines everywhere and there was a drawing pad laid out amongst the mess too.
He couldn't remember which children (Y/n) said she was caring for today but he knew she had five altogether at some points of the day. Her job as a childminder meant that she would have quite a few children to care for throughout the day but she loved it. She could be at home with her and Ben's kids whilst looking after the other children who came to her for the day.
Flitting his eyes around the room, Ben smiled at seeing Lola wobbling over to him. Her legs kicking out almost toppling her over as she wasn't the best at walking at the moment but she was getting there. Whatever she had eaten for dinner was still smeared around her cheeks but she smiled nonetheless, holding her hands out for Ben who happily obliged. Leaning down and scooping her up, resting her against his chest before dancing his eyes around the room again.
(Y/n) was sitting on the navy blue sofa with a little girl about three who Ben hadn't seen before. There was a boy of around five sitting on the floor gazing at the tv like he had never seen it before, Ben knew that was Daniel. Then there was Andrew sat with a Toy Story figurine stuffed into his mouth. He was three and he was always here on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday for either the morning or majority of the day. Andrew seemed to have a thing for Ben, whenever Ben was home and Andrew was here he would follow him around the house.
"Where's Tilly?" Ben questioned, leaning his head against Lola's as he reached up and held her hand that was grabbing at the collar of his shirt.
"Having a bath." (Y/n) responded, lifting her eyes from Maddie who was sitting next to her with a stuffed rabbit toy in her arms. Moving her gaze down to the two boys sitting on the floor, (Y/n) couldn't help but smile at seeing Andrew gazing up at Ben, smiling around the toy stuffed into his mouth. Andrew never said very much but he always seemed to perk up when Ben was home, he liked to trail around after him like a shadow.
As soon as Ben turned around to head back into the kitchen, he heard pattering feet behind suggesting Andrew had followed him like he thought. It was rather sweet but he didn't say much so sometimes Ben was just faced with the little boy staring at him like he was searching for answers for something.
Moving to the counter, Ben grabbed a pack of wipes and took one out, beginning to clean up Lola's messy face and her sticky hands before he turned to look at Andrew. He was still chewing on whatever toy he had picked up but his eyes were staring up at Ben.
"Can you give me that toy and I'll give you some biscuits instead buddy?" Bending down, Ben held out a small pack of animal biscuits as he hoped to do a trade. The toy was rather small, he didn't want Andrew choking on it or chewing and eating part of it. Andrew seemed to either understand or simply wanted to go along with whatever Ben said because he dumped the toy in Ben's hand and took the pack of biscuits from him.
"Me." Lola mumbled, her hands reaching out for the packet in Andrew's hand as Ben rolled his eyes. Lola was small but she could eat for hours, it didn't matter what anyone had if she saw them eating she would want whatever they had or demand they share.
Pulling back up, Ben put the toy in the sink to be washed before grabbing another packet and opening it, handing it to the toddler sitting on his hip. She leaned her head against his chest as she started to eat the biscuits that had a small layer of chocolate on one side.
"Biscuits? How are you both still hungry?" (Y/n) commented with a smile, resting her hand to the back of Andrew's head but he only spared her a glance before looking back at Ben. "Why don't you go and sit with Danny and eat those, honey." Gently turning him around, (Y/n) guided him back into the playroom, watching him move to sit on the sofa instead where Maddie was still perched. All three kids watching the tv, looking content for the time being. (Y/n) seemed to have the quiet kids today instead of the few she looked after every week who simply ran around or started to sing and chatter away to her.
Heading back into the kitchen, (Y/n) grabbed the bottle of juice from the counter and poured some into the beaker in her hand. Filling it with water before turning her attention to Ben. Leaning up to press a kiss to his lips as he unravelled one arm from around Lola to hold (Y/n) to his side.
"I think I have to compete for your attention." (Y/n) stated with a smile, her eyes drifting to the playroom as she could already hear Andrew getting off the sofa to come back to the kitchen.
"I doubt it, he hardly speaks to me, just watches. Anyway, how's our boy?" (Y/n) didn't exactly have to compete because Andre wouldn't say much to Ben. Sometimes he would chatter about whatever was on tv or show Ben a new drawing but other than that he seemed to just gaze at him and trail after him instead.
Moving his hand from her back to her stomach, Ben ghosted his fingers over her baby bump before looking down at Lola who wriggled around to try and get comfy in his arm. He couldn't help but roll his eyes at how quickly she was chomping away on the packet that was now nearly empty, she must have a hollow leg by how much she ate. Ben wouldn't have minded having another girl this time around but he was happy that they were having a boy now as they had both Tilly and Lola. He wouldn't be outnumbered by being the only guy in the house in a few months.
"He's a fussy bugger, but he's fine." Tilting her head up, (Y/n) rested her chin on Ben's shoulder so she could look up at him as he kissed her forehead. They had just less than four months to go before their boy would be born, (Y/n) had already had to start telling the parents of the kids she watched that they would have to start taking them somewhere else for a while. She would have to take maternity leave at around eight months or maybe before and then she wouldn't be working for a while afterwards.
It was easier to be working at home than in a daycare centre, it meant she could be home when Tilly finished school and she could look after Lola each day and now she could look after their boy when he was born. Save having to take them to a daycare. But it did get hard to have a range of children throughout the day. Some kids were there just for a few hours in the morning, some were all day and others were just from nursery until their parents finished work.
(Y/n) took most of the kids to the park almost every day just for a walk, taking them round in the pram to get some air and exercise.
Drifting his eyes to the playroom, Ben smiled at Andrew who toddled over to the bin to get rid of the empty packet in his hand before he moved and stood next to Ben.
Crinkling the wrapper in her hands, Lola held the packet up to Ben to get his attention but (Y/n) leaned over and took it from her instead. Kissing both of them before discarding of the wrapper and heading into the playroom to give the beaker in her hand to Maddie. Ben looked between both kids still with him but shook his head when Lola pointed to the jar, clearly wanting another biscuit.
"I think you've had enough, baby." Ben muttered, rubbing his hand over her head, sorting out the few tangles in her bleach blonde hair before moving to head into the living room. Turning around when Andrew moved to follow them. "Come on, you. Let's get you back to (Y/n)." Pressing his hand to Andrew's back, Ben turned around and guided him back into the playroom. Watching him move and sit down with (Y/n) before taking Lola into the living room out of the way.
Sitting down on the sofa, Ben leaned back and stood Lola up on his knees, holding her sides as she rested her hands on his shoulders. Smiling as she started to wriggle like she was trying to do some sort of dance.
Leaning over, Ben pressed a kiss to her rosy cheek which caused her to giggle before he lifted her up. Leaning his head against the back of the sofa as he held Lola above his head, swaying her as she kicked her legs out. Her arms waving as she couldn't stop giggling.
Turning his head to the right, Ben smiled when Tilly trotted into the room already in her pyjamas. He gently settled Lola back down so she was sitting on his knees as Tilly moved and jumped onto the seat next to him. Crawling over so she was tucked up against Ben, her wavy hair slightly damp still as it was pushed behind her ears. She turned the tv on but kept her attention on Ben as she started talking about what she had done at school. Lola adding in with a random word or babble here and there.
Ben smiled as the sound of the tv, both his girls chatting away and the other tv and kids in the playroom with (Y/n) seemed to mesh together in his ears. His brain already well adjusted to blocking out most of the noises into background noise that usually didn't get noticed.
It was never quiet in their house, but that was the way Ben liked it.
send in “ at least i’ve got you here to take care of me, right? ” for my muse to tend to your muse’s wounds after a fight/battle. [ SELECTIVELY ACCEPTING ]
Tumblr media
Eyes traveled up and over Lola’s disheveled form, only gaining a grave shake of the head “......Embarrassing.” She raised her hand up to her shoulder, and pointed casually towards herself, beckoning the rabbit to follow her inside. “First off...I can tell by how messed up your hair is, you let them get a hold of you too soon.” She started running hot water in her sink, still talking, but not making eye contact with Lola as she made her way towards the kitchen. “Second...your clothes are toast, which means you probably relied on your hands more than your feet which, by the way...you know that’s your kill move.” She ducked down, fishing for something noisily, and then popped up quickly, laying out a long, black fold out kit of various...dubious-looking tools. “Don’t worry you just looked banged up. I just want this---” She pulled a set of long tweezers out, and pinched them in the air at her. “Third...you should have called me. I would have been down there to back you up, maybe kick the bitch BACK into the ring for you when she tried to get away...or at least BLOCK all the exits until you were done, so no one interfered.”
She wrung out a clean rag in the hot water, dousing it with alcohol, and began to dab Lola’s bruised up cheek. She crooked a brow, holding it to the most swollen spot. Her voice softened, getting quieter; “Did the cops come?” Lola nodded with as smirk, gaining a scoff from the eagle. “Then I take it it was a pretty bad scene.” She frowned slightly, and ticked her tongue, padding around her eyes and cleaning her gingerly. “And you didn’t get any photos? That’s worst of all.” She shook her head gravely at her. “Hold it to your cheek---”
She pointed a finger upwards, as if to tell her to wait, and went to her icebox, pulling a beer out for them both, popping them open and handing one off to the rabbit. “Welllllllll....Still. No real damage done on your end...so I guess that’s good...” She shrugged her shoulders, looking off in thought, then back at Lola. “Did they get away? Because if so...we can go back later and track them down...get the jump on them this time? My week’s been far too tame.”
