You share a look with the shieldmaiden one day in the houses of healing, both of you having been tasked with caring for others with varying degrees of satisfaction. In her beautiful blue eyes you can see that this place is like a blade to her wings. You enjoy caring for others, have no problem forcing them back down or even wrestling with them if they fight against your tasks. Exchanging a quirk of brows after one such patient, you look away with a smile- something about this woman sticks in your heart.

She asks for your name after your joint shift, introduces herself as Eowyn. You give her yours, ask her why she hides herself away so. She was bidden to, you learn. In her heart she desires to fight alongside the brave men of her country, to put to use her years of training with a sword and shield. “We all have cause to go to war,” she tells you, eyes blazing, and you nod your agreement. Happy as a healer though you are, you know the role is a bit expected of you- women are carers, waiting to clean up after the follies and glories of men. They know their blades only as a final resort. “I hope you take your chance,” you tell her at the conversation’s end, and again the smile you exchange catches on your heart in a way unlike you have ever felt.

Wailing urgency, a captain bursts in with a stretcher. The greatest war yet has been waged, armies of mercenaries and undead alike joining the fray and piling up more and more unfortunate fallen. This case seems to have the captain feeling particularly distressed, however, enough that you rise from the broken arm you’ve just set to see what he’s brought. Eowyn. You smile in spite of her feeble state, pride swelling in your chest that she did, in fact, seize her opportunity. Her wounds are like nothing you have ever seen before, though- she will need close care. Nodding at the captain, who you quickly realize is her brother, you got to work, kneeling by her side to clean her and get her more comfortable.

Days pass. Eowyn’s condition improves, hints of color returning to her cheeks and burns upon her arm fading. You smile down at her peaceful expression as you work, nearly starting when her eyelids flutter open.

“You have been proven again and again, honored beyond honor,” you tell her, “you are a true warrior of Rohan, Eowyn- never again shall they doubt you.”

“And you never left my side,” she breathes.

“No,” you shook your head, “never.”

Perhaps you should be surprised by the kiss, but all you feel beneath the roar of your heart is a surge of pride. Admiration. That stick in your heart once more. Eowyn is unafraid to claim what she wants, and what a beautiful rush it is.

She enjoys listening to you play guitar. Annabeth appreciates music from a very technical perspective but when she listens to you play, she’s able to relax her mind and just listen.

It’s the little things with this entry. All the little, small, sweet things that make a life together, that you have in common, that make me think you’d be a really lovely fit for Camelopardalis.

Like, I can see Cam being a huge fan of the Chronicles of Narnia? (I think he loves all the classics, like the Lord of the Rings, and Tolkien and Lewis were contemporaries, so that works together.) He’d love smooth, crooning classic 50’s music; Cam plays it in a record player but not in a hipster way, in a “this is technically an antique” way. He’d love the leisurely, methodical routine of cooking.

Can be really energetic and daring to accomplish something even it's risky, clumsy when gets distracted (if her mind is zoning out and not properly on track) also emotional when she's really burnt out. Jasmine is also too assuming as well which it makes her vulnerable in love life.

𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗢𝗠 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧: Jasmine used to be a choir member at a palace of the neighboring country of Narnia but turns into a military reservist through recruitment by accident

This is such an interesting OC, thank you for sharing with me!!! I totally ship her with Edmund (specifically during the Golden Age)! They would initally connect due to their experience on the battlefield and the many scars they have recieved on it, leading to Edmund opening up about his experience with the White Witch. I think they would be friends for years, with both pining for more but either too shy or too awkward to say anything. Everyone else would see the attraction, though, and they would be endlessly teased about it until everyone gave up hope of the two ever figuring it out.

However, all it takes is one hiking trip to the Western Wilds gone rogue on Jasmine's part for Ed to realize that he can't live without her. The Just King loves everything about Jasmine, even if her argumentative and sometimes rash behavior makes more work for him as Narnia's diplomat king. His ability to smooth any situation over with words comes in handy particularly when Jasmine (now his Queen) tells Rabadash exactly what she thinks of all his pretty words and gestures towards her sister-in-law while in Tashbaan. In short, Edmund's inherent ability to think first and act second compliments Jasmine's quick-to-act tendencies very well.

Edmund also respects her independent nature, allowing her to have time alone to explore or do whatever. This benefits him, as well, since he needs time to recharge his social battery as he is very introverted. Since she is an extrovert, Jasmine helps him in non-diplomatic social settings to fit in and be at ease making new friends with her quick wit and readiness to smile (she very easily endeared every Narnian to her with her tendency to not stay on one subject for too long, reminding them of a certain young queen that is unanimously loved).

In private settings, Ed often asks Jasmine to sing for him, and sometimes he will hum pieces of melodies whose lyrics and titles are just on the tip of his tongue before they are lost to him once more. Ed also loves that she wears green as it reminds him of his place in the Western Woods and his title of the Duke of Lantern Waste. The couple are always learning new languages together, quizzing each other. Once they became proficient in a language, they would use it in court to pass on their snarky or sarcastic comments to each other without detection. The only one who ever found them out was Susan, but she found it hilarious, so she didn't say anything.

For their fifth anniversary he has the Royal Gardiners help him reserve a space in the gardens for Jasmine's personal use, but he never got to see it while she was still alive. However, when he returns in Prince Caspian, it is overgrown, but all of the flowers he knew were her favorites were there, along with a plethora of apple trees. He is the only one who realizes the significance of that particular fruit tree being planted in her garden as it was under a very similar blossoming tree that they had shared their first kiss - not before, of course, Edmund saved her from breaking every bone in her body after she fell from a branch while racing a squirrel to the top.
