It was something in the way his hands caressed my hips, his palms hugging me in a way that I could only describe as a tender reminder. It’s not that he had ever touched me there before, it's like his hands were made to be there.  It could have been the euphoria of the drugs and music, intoxication of his scent that has overtaken me. I know this a bad idea.. But I can’t stop myself.

@grand-wizard-of-bulgaria had challenged me with using the word Tender in a story. I chose to use an inner monolog for Mara when rockerboy J I H Z Z Y and her went to Gomorra, beginning their notsosecret relationship. Boy this was a bit hard for me, ngl. But it suddenly hit me. Currently watching: uhhhh idk im not really one for long form television. Does putting on adventure time whenever I get high count? Current obsession: as always MY BOOK and MY WRITING. It’s urban fantasy (side note, genre names SUCK espesh since most of it is set in rural areas) about a witch who gets hired to return to Appalachia and exorcise a potential fallen angel. All about trauma and memory and the stories we tell ourselves and global warming and coal and the end of the world. I like it. Not the weirdest thing I’ve written but still up there. Second draft is nearing completion so I may be looking for beta readers soon.
