OH MY GOD i've been seeing catholicapandam on my Instagram reels constantly recently! yeah she seems fun once she mentioned that apparently she goes to an arabic-speaking catholic church or smth? like she's not roman catholic the church she goes to is an eastern catholic church in communion with the vatican

Oh no way?? I haven't made it that far down the rabbit hole yet, that is fascinating if true (and on brand tbh). I know she goes to chapel at her college a lot but I think she does Sunday mass somewhere else, and now that you mention it, the black veils she wears for that mass are pretty Eastern European-y.

I love a neurodivergent influencer/advocate and am fascinated by very religious folks, so she checks those boxes. plus she seems very self aware, at least compared to the ultra religious folks I usually follow, and I find that super refreshing (like for example, she's talked about Catholicism being her special interest and that she understands that has an affect on how she practices).

She grew up secular too and is pretty young, so she also gets the internet and trends in a way similar people I follow don't, which makes her more fun to watch lol. Highly recommend her account to anyone into that kind of thing.

I hate zombie movies, so I refused to watch it for while.

By now it is one of my absolute favourites.

This isn't a zombie movie.

This is a film about humanity and love.

Perfectly shot and brilliantly acted by anyone involved.

Martin Freeman shows his absolute capability of emotions and willpower.

He doesn't even need words and sometimes hands are enough to make you cry.

Showed my Mum the ending, a woman who hasn't seen him in anything else than Sherlock was absolutely shell-shocked.

She cried and was speechless for quite a while.

COVID-19 has scribbled its name on the pages of history, hopefully soon to be just a speed bump and an agent for positive change in the future. So whether you choose to quarantine or not, I hope you choose the good things in life. First and foremost, seek help when you need it. Whether it’s talking to a friend, spouse, counselor, physician, or finding support from an online group or community, it’s important to have an ally. In order for us to change the course of history, we must choose reason and communication over confusion, grace and mercy over condemnation, and love over fear.

ok i have been kind of been off checking fundie instagram lately bc it's mostly just the Bates and tbh there is not much about those secular cosplayers that interests me these days (plus all they do is try to sell me shit). BUT in the last week i have found a new instagram account hyperfixation and it's this girl catholica.pandam who is a trad Catholic convert:

She's autistic and is very open about it and collects pope merch. She talks a lot about how addiction and being kind of a party girl is the reason she decided to convert and no one else in her family is catholic (or maybe even religious, I can't tell).

Bc she didn't grow up fundie her posts don't have that same out of touch feel that comes with most people this conservative and she actually has a little bit of a sense of humor. I honestly don't really know what to think about it all except that I find her just insanely fascinating lol.
