Can u do a Percy Jackson x reader where he’s like trying to impress her by doing something and reader is just like “yeah ok pretty boy keep talkin”
babe idk but this reminds me of that one scene from ATLA where Aang is doing the rock spinny thing in his hands and NOBODY’S impressed. They’re like yeah airbender air bending wow so cool
Tumblr media
Percy feels like a magician being pulling out of a rabbits mouth by a hat. He impresses everyone else at camp, everyone, but not you. This is just wrong. He’s cool? He’s a child of the Big Three? He’s cool?
Okay fine, he thinks, I’ll just summon a mini hurricane.
And now half of the dryads at camp are pissed at him for messing up their hair and the lake is in semi-disarray.
You’re standing at the beach, sneakers kissing the water as you watch him attempt to juggle balls of seaweed and fail miserably. He’s got that cute charming smile on his face as usual and he totally thinks you’re into him until you shake your head and turn around.
He speeds towards you on his personal storm of H2O, plants and confusion.
“Y/n!”
“Percy.” You turn back towards him and shove a lock of hair out of you face.
Now, he doesn’t know what to say. He’s exhausted his vocabulary already. You save him the trouble.
“Need something?”
“What’s your issue?” Wow, great going Percy. Really awesome of you to start that way.
“I’m kind of hungry but otherwise, I don’t have any.”
“Well then why are you… why are you so-”
“So unimpressed with your circus act? Because, Percy, I don’t care.”
His heart dropped. His hurricane slowed and quieted down. He wanted to say he didn’t care either but you continued.
“I don’t care about seaweed juggling or completely-water squirt guns or manatee love triangles,” He was going to say that it was actually a love square but you cut him off, again. You were pretty good at that. “That’s superficial. And it’s not you. You, Perce, are more than water tricks and badly timed jokes. I’m not impressed with those things because I don’t care to know what makes other people laugh, I care to know what makes you happy.”
Percy’s heart regained its footing and found itself in his chest again, a little bit higher now but maybe that was from his puffed-out chest. At some point in your speech, you hands had landed on his cheeks. You pulled him out of the water and the hurricane died instantly, washing away without a trace.
He stood next to you on the beach, speechless.
You nudged his mouth close with an index finger on his chin. “You don’t have to say anything witty. I’m just happy you heard me.”
You almost closed his mouth another time as it hung open before it started speaking. “Yeah, me too.”
There was a pause, his hand found your nape.
“I like you.” He confessed.
“I know,” You agreed, “I like you too.”
He kissed you softly, you tasted like marshmallows and juice.
“So I guess this means I can tell the sea lions we don’t need to hear their cover of ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’?”
You laughed and it made his eyes crinkle. Maybe he couldn’t impress you, but at least he could make you smile.

(Part 2) Part 1 - You're Not Her - Percy Jackson x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
summary: in which y/n realizes this relationship is no longer worth fighting for
warnings: cursing, character death, toxic relationship, throwing things
genre: angst
word count: 1.1k
------------------------------------------------
y/n laughed as a smidge of vanilla ice cream was put on percy's nose.
"not funny y/n." he said, irritated, wiping it off.
"sorry, won't happen again." she said back, shocked at the mood change. "wanna go for a swim?" she asked, trying to change the topic.
"no, i want to stay dry." he said, plainly.
"do you want to do anything?" y/n laughed.
he looked at her with his sea green eyes.
"what do you think." he said.
"alright per-sassy-eus." she shrugged.
they stared the the lake in silence until a little girl came running.
"y/n! y/n!" she shouted, running towards her.
y/n wrapped her arms around the seven-year old.
"hey serena! what's up?" she asked, smiling.
"me and lily and kayla and a bunch of other girls are making friendship bracelets!" serena said excitedly. "c'mon! hi percy!"
"hey serena." he smiled. "i like your bracelet."
"i have two of them, they are matching!" she grinned. "you can have one."
she slid the blue one off her wrist and gave it to percy.
"now we're best friends!" serena said, returning to y/n and tugging on her hand.
y/n looked at percy.
"percy, i'm gonna go." she smiled, kissing him on the cheek.
"yeah, ok." he shrugged.
"love you." y/n said.
"mhm."
------------------------------------------------
y/n got to the arts and crafts table and sat down next to her good friend, olivia.
"they got you too?" liv laughed.
"yeah." y/n smiled.
"y/n! why didn't percy say love you back?" serena asked.
y/n felt hurt, but she couldn't show that, not to this little girl. olivia stared at her, waiting for the response.
"he's just a little shy now-a-days." y/n chuckled.
"but he's your boyfriend!" serena's friend, lily spoke up.
"boyfriends can be shy." y/n explained, wondering whether she was lying to the kids or herself.
"but he always say i love you to annabeth!" serena's other friend, kayla added.
"i guess he's just a little more reserved after what happened with annabeth. that changes people." y/n smiled.
"he's still my hero though!" serena smiled.
"him and jason are my heroes!" lily added.
"kayla, who's your hero?" they asked.
"my hero is reyna!" she said confidently.
y/n chuckled.
------------------------------------------------
y/n and olivia sat on y/n's bed in her cabin.
"what were the girls going on about today?" liv asked.
"percy, and they were right, and they had good points." y/n sighed, tired of hiding it. "we've been dating for almost a year now, and he's just so negative."
"what do you mean?" liv continued.
"i mean he always gets mad at me, he never wants to do anything with me, and it feels like i'm just someone to look at when he's bored." y/n explained. "i get it, things are different for him after annabeth died."
olivia nodded, placing her hand on y/n's for comfort.
"they'd been friends forever, they went through hell together, they'd been in love, and he couldn't save her at the battle. but it's been three years, and he confessed to me. he said, 'i know you've like me for a while and i think i do too.' i remember the day liv." y/n continued. "and things have changed for me too. piper and hazel are always casting me dirty glances, jason and leo and frank avoid me if i'm in anywhere near ten feet to them. i've been slut-shamed, compared, and bullied because i'm dating him."
y/n began to feel tears well up.
"i just want him to talk to me and hang out with me without feeling like he's being forced to do it." she finished.
"y/n, i think this is something you have to tell percy." olivia responded. "you can't keep going like this, it's going to kill you."
"i don't want to hurt him and what if he just freaks out on me? i care about him." y/n countered.
"just talk to him." olivia encouraged. "he's a good man, he'll understand."
------------------------------------------------
"you're not understanding me!" y/n said, sadness filling her voice. "i-i'm not telling you to get over what happened, i'm trying to tell you that you can talk to me! i'm trying to help you percy!"
"help me! help me! you want to help me by bringing up her name?" he screamed.
gods, he was scary.
"i'm trying to tell you that it feels like you don't even like me, much less love me! it's like i'm a burden to you!" y/n shouted back. "and i understand you're hurting, but why am i a victim of your grief?"
"fine!" he said, throwing a candle across his cabin. "i'm sorry that my girlfriend, who i loved for longer than i've ever known you, is dead and that it makes me upset!"
y/n ducked, avoiding the glass shards. fear ran through her bones.
"and i'm sorry you have to go through that, but it sucks for me too! piper and hazel give me these glares, like they hate every vein in my body. leo, jason, and frank run from me like i'm a disease! and i've told you and you don't do shit to stop it, you encourage it if anything!" y/n yelled.
"they've got every fucking reason too!" he yelled, throwing a picture frame of us across the room.
"what's the reason! tell me, what's the reason!" y/n shouted.
"because you're not annabeth!" he yelled, with every bone in his body as tear welled up in his eyes. "you're not her, she would've never done whatever shit you're doing."
y/n stood still for a minute as the words replayed in her head.
you're not her, you're not her, you're not her.
tears filled y/n's eyes.
it's like percy finally understood the gravity of the situation as he looked around in shame.
"y/n, i didn't mean that-"
"no, no, percy, you did. you really did, because otherwise, you wouldn't have said it. and you wouldn't have followed every action to prove it." y/n chuckled. "i'm sorry i'm not annabeth."
percy took a couple of steps forward, but stopped instantly when y/n backed up defensively. y/n pointed to the glass shards around the room. they stood in silence.
"you're a bad man, percy. throwing shit and telling me i'll never be enough. i wish every little girl and boy could see their so-called camp hero right now. i wish they could see what a fucking monster he is." y/n said, her voice now low and quiet.
she turned around, and walked out of his cabin.
“y/n, can’t we talk about this?” he shouted out.
“oh i tried talking to you percy.” she chuckled. “but, you can always go down to annabeth’s gravestone and talk to her."

I'd really love some Percy de rolo x Reader, them being childhood friends. The trop of she fell first but he fell harder type. If you could! Also love your work!
I'm gonna make this an Imagine for Percy! I love this so, please, enjoy!
He Fell Harder For You Imagine
Percy De Rolo x Reader
Tumblr media
I would imagine that you would, of course, fall for him first.
You would fall for him before the fall of Whitestone.
You were one of the castle helpers.
You would help the staff clean, cook, whatever you needed to be at the time.
You would run into Percy as you were cleaning the library.
You and him hit it off pretty well.
You liked him but, of course, who wouldn't fall for a royal if put into your situation.
Percy would not even realize that he would subconsciously look for you around the castle grounds.
He didn't realize he enjoyed your company at all.
As time grew on, you fell for him more and he didn't realize what he was feeling.
After the fall of Whitestone, Percy forgot about you if I'm being honest.
He was so focused on revenge, he forgot about you entirely.
You, on the other hand, knew he was alive but, decided that you needed to move on.
You needed to focus more on your survival than him.
When you both run into each other again, He didn't recognize you.
You didn't identify as your original name anymore.
Everyone called you "Leopard". The nickname was given to you because the Briarwoods were looking for you for some reason so, the rebellion decided to give you a code name so you can remain hidden.
The reason why they chose leopard as the nickname because you may be smaller but, you are fierce. You stand up to anyone. You were a force to be reckoned with. You single handedly killed as many high ranking officials that the Briarwoods placed into office.
You became the definition of badass pretty much. All in the name of survival.
Percy was shook when he figured out it was you. It took Cassandra to say your name first when the two reunited to put the dots together.
You changed so much since the last time he saw you.
He tried to apologize for not recognizing you but, you brushed him off and told him to get a grip of himself and deal with the problem at hand.
That's when the rest of Vox Machina really liked you. They gave each other knowing looks as you said this to Percy and walked off.
Percy, on the other hand, was shocked but, did what you said.
After everything was said and done, You stood by Cassandra's side as she took on the role as the ruler of the town.
Percy pulled you to the side as soon as possible to give you a formal apology.
You just nodded and said that it's whatever and shit happens.
Right after the conversation, Vex came up to you.
She asked if you were interested in a change in scenery and siad that on behalf of Vox Machina, they would like you to join there crew.
You shrugged and said sure. You sealed the deal with a handshake with Trinket licking it in conformation.
With that, you started to travel with Percy and the others.
Percy saw how you were and started to fall for you more and more while you, on the other hand, thought about your past feeling but, kept them in the past.
Percy slowly started to gather himself and tried to express his emotions that he felt towards her in different fashions.
He tried to be subtle at first but soon realized that it wasn't enough.
Soon, he was making you little chains to wear and weapons to better suit your needs. He would make sure to protect you in battle always. He would pay for any items you wanted at shops. He did it all.
You knew something was up but, you couldn't exactly place your finger on exactly what he was trying to accomplish.
It took until Percy got so drunk that he stomped is way to your room at the keep (You decided to not go out drinking because you just wanted some alone time).
He pounded at the door until you answered it.
He stumbled in all disheveled and with a slurring voice told you that he loved you and want you to be his. He loved you every since you were children.
Your heart leaped with joy but, You decided to wait until he confirms his feeling when he was sober.
You kept him in your room all night and let him sleep his drunken state off.
You sat on the windowsill of the room and stayed up all night and just waited.
When he woke up in your room with no recollection of the night before, he panicked. He thought he messed everything up but, it was the exact opposite.
You calmly explained to him the events from the night before as he blushed in embarrassment.
You asked him if he meant what his drunken self said and he made a full confession then and there.
He soon started to ramble about all the things he did wrong about not telling you and you had to shut him up with a kiss.
"Babe. You're rambling."
I hope you enjoyed this imagine! I an currently taking requests! Thank you so much for your support! See You in the next post!

Cowboy like me pt2
Summary: Percy knows a thing or two about letting go of the bigger fish you’re after and he won’t see you go now the road he almost went down with the briarwoods.
A/N: Honestly and emotional pairing that would be good for each other. Definitely would be a slow burn romance if I had the time to write more. Glad I can end it with hopes of more for these two.
Part 1 if you haven’t read it yet.
Tumblr media
Fancy parties and dresses were a luxury I hadn’t seen in a while, but I wasn't here for the party. My bigger fish had taken me all the way to Emon, all the way to this celebration. I sneered in my inner thoughts. The man they were celebrating tonight was the man responsible for my brother's death. Lornak Syfe, he currently served on the Tal’Dorei council as the master of development, but I know. This man was not what he seemed.
He stood at the top of the stairwell, it was fairly crowded as people moved up and down talking about their rich people's things. My eyes stayed focused on Syfe as I slipped through the crowded, drink in hand, blending in. I was coming so close to what I had been searching for these last few years.
Before I could cross the rest of the distance to the stairwell, a hand slipped its way around my waist, pulling me away and towards the dance floor. “Just over this way.”
I turned, my eyes burning with anger at the person to drag me away from my target. “Percy?” There was venom in my tone, with a bit of fury, “what are you doing here?”
He took my drink out of my hand and placed it on a passing waiter's tray. He stopped pulling me along and turned to face me, keeping one hand on my waist as he took my hand in the other. “We,” he said firmly, “are dancing.”
I finally took stock that he had pulled me out to the dance floor. “Percival, I don’t have time for this.” I tried to pull away, but he only held me in position.
“I can see that, but I highly recommend that you hear me out first.” I watched as his eyes stayed tracked on Syfe. Percy continued to keep us dancing to the music, even as I was still hesitant.
“What are you really doing here, De Rolo?”
“Apparently stopping an assassination attempt.” I rolled my eyes.
“You don’t know my plans, maybe I just came here to speak to him.” He gave me a knowing glare.
He sighed, “I’m here with the rest of Vox Machina, they’re over by the drinks table close to drunk enough to cause a scene. I saw you and I could tell from your face something might be amidst. I couldn’t just sit back and not try to stop you, what kind of gentleman would I be?”
“We both know you’re no gentleman, Percival.” He gave you a weak smile. “That man killed my brother Percy, you can’t stop me from getting justice for that.”
“And I won’t, but this isn’t Justice (y/n), this is revenge. It costs more than you know.”
I swallowed my anger and brushed off the topic. “So what, you and Vox Machina frequent formal private council events now. I know you enjoy playing diplomat, but I thought the rest of your crew were above that.”
“We’re honorary members of the council.”
“Since when?”
“Since we killed a dragon.”
My eyes widened in shock, “you guys?”
“You know, we are actually quite capable when we use our brains, we just choose not to on most days.” I almost laughed.
“What happened to your brother?”
I gritted my teeth. “The Clasp.”
“The crime syndicate?”
I nodded. “My brother worked on one of Syfe project sites, he noticed some money was missing from the project. Syfe has been using these projects to fund his own personal expenses and paying off some debts to the Clasp. My brother was collecting evidence, he was going to report him when the Clasp shut him up on Syfe’s orders.”
“Your brother sounds like a good man.”
“He was.”
“Then he wouldn’t want you compromising yourself just for revenge.”
“He wouldn’t have wanted to die either, sometimes good people don’t get what they want.” I kept my eyes turned as I saw Syfe turn down a hallway heading to a secluded area of the party.
“You can’t do this (y/n), it's not justice, you know that. You’ll lose yourself.”
I couldn’t take it, I pulled away from him to stop dancing. I needed to get to Syfe while he was secluded, before he came back to the party. “What do you know about revenge, Percival? Who says I have to lose myself to get what I have wanted for four years now. I'm so close, why stop here?”
He grabbed my arm to stop me as I began heading up the stairs. “You know I understand better than anyone what it’s like. That hatred that fills you, I know it like the back of my hand. If you kill him, it won’t go away, it will just grow stronger.”
I stopped as I felt the tears burn behind my eyes. I swallowed hard as I turned around to face him. He had a soft look on his face, it showed just how much of this feeling he understood. “What do you suggest I do?”
“Your brother was collecting evidence, right? Do you know what he found? We could collect it and take it to the other members of the council. They’ll hear us out, they trust Vox Machina.”
“Are sure that would be enough? Putting him away in prison for what he did?”
“Sometimes I'm unsure, knowing the person who took it all away from you still breathes. But the alternative, letting them take what’s left, away from you.” He leaned in closer, reaching out to tuck a strand of my hair away behind my ear. “Letting them take you away, that’s just not an option.”
I swallowed and processed his words as I came to terms with him being right. I finally really looked at the man in front of me. “You’ve changed since I last saw you.”
“Let’s just say I found my bigger fish.”
“Did you get your revenge?” He knew what I meant, did he kill his Syfe
“The people responsible for my parents' death, what's left of them, is sitting in a cell where she will stay the rest of her life? I won’t to lie to you, I would have killed her if it weren’t for Vox Machina. I almost did, but if I had gone through with my revenge, I would be dead right now. They saved me, I owe them everything.”
“Well, I guess that means I owe you then.” I watched as he sighed and relaxed. He smiled as he linked our arms together, leading me away from the stairway.
“Looks like we need to get to work.” He said as we watched Syfe enter the party.
“Does that offer to join Vox Machina still stand?”
“Always.” He said quickly before he began stuttering. “I mean, I'm sure we can find room for you somewhere on the team.”
“Might not be so bad.” I smiled.

remember me; pcj
percy jackson x amnesiac!reader
a/n: this was meant to be a drabble but it got way longer than planned ^^; i hope you enjoy!
warnings: amnesia, brief mentions of pain and headaches, mentions of death, everyone is a little ooc (my bad)
Tumblr media
when consciousness returned to your body, all you could see was the void. your vision was filled with an expanse of black, broken only by a faint glow in the distance. ‘did i die?’ you thought to yourself. you were beginning to understand the phrase ‘seeing the light’ a little bit more. as feeling returned to your body, you realized you were on something soft, like a cloud.
maybe you did actually die, and this is heaven’s waiting room. it was feasible, and that’s what you would’ve concluded if your head didn’t start pounding like all hell. if you weren’t dead already, the pain would definitely finish the job.
“…not okay! they could’ve…” a feminine voice said
“…one’s fault…” a masculine voice responded
the words faded in and out of your ears, a loud ringing overshadowing all other noise. you groaned, your eyes opening slowly. sitting up, you were met with the sight of three teenagers bickering at the foot of your bed. what scared you the most was the fact that one of them held a bronze sword in his hand, and the other had small horns. the only normal one was the blonde, at least until she turned to look at you. she had sharp gray eyes, like the sky before a storm. those same eyes widened and exclaimed your name in relief. the blonde wanted to approach you, but stopped at the way you flinched when she called your name.
“how are you feeling? you weren’t looking so good” the boy with horns asked you. sword boy (you really had to ask them for names), chuckled before replying, “they took a literal boulder to the head”. blondie then proceeded to punch him in the shoulder, swiftly shutting him up, “percy please-“
“it’s true!”
all you could do was look between the two of them as they started bickering back and forth. you raised an inquisitive brow and goat boy could only smile nervously, “you know how they can get”. that began the snowball of your confusion. you felt like you should know these people, but you don’t. how could something feel so familiar yet so foreign.
“i-i don’t think i do”
the arguing pair froze to look at you in confusion. the blonde in particular, stared at you with a steely gaze, “don’t what”. you averted your gaze, opting to count the small scratches which littered your hands, “i don’t know how they can get-“ you paused, “because i don’t know them, i don’t know you! i don’t know where i am, why i’m in bed, why my head hurts so bad-“ all the questions that had been stirring in the back of your mind rushed out like an avalanche. you had more to say, but you were cut off by someone slamming the door open. another blond kid. great. already two blonds and neither one had told you their name
“how about the next time someone wakes up after being knocked out, we call the medic” blond boy (this is getting ridiculous) scolded, proceeding to give you a quick once over with his eyes. “will, we would have-“ sword boy (blondie called him percy you think) started, “no you wouldn’t have” he replied, taking your pulse and noting it down, “you’re not even supposed to be here”. ‘percy’ pursed his lips, knowing that will was right. the blonde girl rolled her eyes in annoyance, “right or wrong- it doesn’t matter. they don’t remember anything”. will stopped, gaze switching between you and blondie, “like from the fight?”. blondie shook her head
“like from their life, at least after camp half blood”
will turned you, “well” he started, “what’s the last thing you remember”. you took a deep breath, recalling your thoughts, “running, i think. for a while- and being chased by something or someone?” you did your best to recall from the top of your head, but the pounding was still prevalent. even if it was the last thing you remembered, it still felt like it was so long ago.
the one with horns spoke up again, “that’s the day they got to camp half blood. they were attacked near the border, and i had to help them to the infirmary”. percy’s brows furrowed, concern prevalent on his features, “so they don’t remember anything after coming to camp.”
the four teens looked at you. it wasn’t apparent, but you could see the pity hidden behind their eyes. how do you reply? it wasn’t your fault, but you felt terrible. from what it seemed, these people were close to you, yet all the moments you shared together had vanished into thin air blondie cleared her throat, “i suppose weshould start with names then. i’m annabeth” she said, “the satyr is grover” he gave you a comforting smile, “the guy helping you is will, and on the wall is-” annabeth paused, her words getting caught in her throat. “percy, right? i think i heard annabeth say it” you questioned, looking at him for confirmation. the green eyed boy nodded, a small smile finding its way to his lips. it was hard to place, but you felt familiar with percy. everyone else was a stranger, but somehow you knew him. you couldn’t place it, but every time you two made eye contact in the infirmary, your heart stopped for just a minute.
will cut them all off, beginning to usher them out of the room. he spoke about doing some tests and giving you more ambrosia (you were both concerned and intrigued). the trio left, but you didn’t miss the way percy glanced at you over his shoulder
after a quick brief with will about your injury (rock to the head, seriously?), he sent you off all bandaged up and equipped with a lifetime supply of pain medication for your headaches. amnesia was not the worst part of your situation, surprisingly. your past self was either extremely brave or extremely stupid, and somehow managed to mess up your shoulder too. now your good arm was out of commission for the foreseeable future.
great
at least you wouldn’t have to worry about any demigod related activities for a while, meaning no capture the flag (some girl named clarisse was not happy about you being benched). being free from the game meant a lot of things. most notably was the apparent lack of kids on the grounds. you sat bored in your bed, in what was supposed to be your cabin. your hoodie was long gone, lost among the vast expanse of laundry you had. the bandages wrapping your shoulder were out on display, barely covered by the black tank you wore. piles of magazines were strewn around the duvet, haphazardly closed from your frustration.
you don’t remember reading them (slipped your mind along with everything else), but the content was so familiar you found yourself getting bored within the first few pages. with a groan, you flopped over onto your pillow. the annoyance quickly turned to confusion when you felt something hard under your head. pillow discarded, you found the source of your discomfort. it was a book. a mid-sized book with your name on the cover. the leather cover was worn, and you could see just how much was in it from the thickness alone. curiousity beat you to the punch, and you decided to open it up.
on the first page was a picture. you, percy and annabeth standing in front of the lake. captioned with your signatures and a date. on the page parallel, doodles bordered paragraphs of what looked like descriptions of the day. after reading more, it got more apparent that this was your bullet journal. the next page listed important dates like birthdays and events, and the next was personal goals, followed by more polaroid photos of you and your friends.
the further you read, the more your heart ached. you looked so happy, and so did your friends. the last one was written just last week, and it was paired with a candid photo of you laughing on your bunk next to percy. tears pricked the corners of your eyes. it was you in that picture, you knew that for sure, but it felt like you were looking at someone else’s life. these were your memories, with your friends. it felt so weird that you had no recollection of it
this camp seemed to shape you into the person you are — well, were — and you couldn’t remember any of it. would you get your memories back? how long would it take? are your friends still well, your friends? closing the journal, you tucked it back under the pillow and opted to stare at the ceiling. thinking about the life you lost with your memories. what was it like? bickering with annabeth, or play fighting with grover, kissing percy-
wait
that was a new one. it wasn’t something that you had thought about before. you weren’t sure where it was coming from, but you had a vivid memory of spending time with percy. it wasn’t a feeling, but you saw it. it was a memory. you didn’t remember who you were, but you did remember being so close to percy that you could feel his breath on your lips.
maybe you needed fresh air. the smell of dust and sweat was starting to get to you
the sun hung low in the late afternoon sky. capture the flag had ended a while ago apparently. you were so caught up in your thoughts that you didn’t even notice the ambient noise of the other demigods outside. people greeted you and you feigned recognition, but it was hard to pretend when everything you knew slipped through your fingers so easily
everything except a night with percy. how cliché
you found yourself on the docks for a reason you can’t quite place. you swung your legs aimlessly, staring into the horizon. a sigh left your mouth. as the world went on around you, thoughts of the journal clouded your mind. you let yourself zone out as a small break from reality. you wished all of this was just a sick daydream
“oh, hey”
you almost jumped out of your skin, your stupor broken by a familiar voice.
“at least you still remember our spot” percy said, taking a seat next to you on the dock. you laughed dryly, “remember is a strong word, i just wanted to get away from everyone”. sea green eyes flicked from the water over to you. he couldn’t say a lot of the things he wanted to, because gods know you would think he’s a creep. percy was just happy you’re okay, but he missed a lot more than he could say
“so, how are you doing” he slowly broke the silence. you shrugged, “i’ve been benched, mentally and physically”. percy laughed lightly at your words, “i’m guessing it’s hard finishing tasks you have no clue how to do”.
“someone asked me about how i fight and he started describing things i didn’t even know i could do” you both laughed, like you were old friends. which in retrospect, you really were. “do you think you’ll get them back, your memories i mean”. you pursed your lips in thought, “hopefully, i’ve been thinking about it a lot. i found my journal, and it seemed like we had so many good memories” you said, reminiscing. percy looked at you again, hearing the longing in your voice. “i’m just some person now. even if i do remember life before camp, i lost so much of myself along with those memories” your voice began to tremble. a single tear rolled down your cheek into your lap, beginning the downpour.
“people know me percy. i have relationships with a lot of people here. hell, some even look up to me”, in the absence of tissue, you opted to wipe your tears away with your hands, “i don’t remember who i was percy! i don’t remember people, or my beliefs. all i remember is kissing you!” you paused, taking a breath to stable yourself, “why do i remember kissing you”
in the heat of the moment, you let it slip. you hadn’t meant to open up so much, but you were tired of feeling like a stranger. the pent up emotions were too much to handle for you. it was silent between you two for a moment, the void filled with sounds of dusk
“that night” percy started, “when you told me how you felt, it’s like the world stopped”. you looked towards him with curiosity. hopefully, this was the night you remembered. it clearly had some form nuance in your life, since it was the only thing you remember.
“maybe it’s a good thing i didn’t ask you out that night” he started, “it hurts a lot when the person you care so much about doesn’t even recognize your face”. you opened your mouth to speak, apologies lingering on your tongue, but percy quickly cut you off, “don’t blame yourself, i know how you are” he stated, “besides, im happy you remember me” the boy flashed you his signature smile, and your heart melted. “it means i was important to you”
for the first time in what felt like ages, a genuine smile found its place on your face. percy was about to continue, but was cut off by the sound of someone calling his name. he looked disappointed, but began to get up nonetheless.
“i guess i’ll see you at dinner-“ “percy wait”, you grabbed his wrist, stopping him as he was about to leave, “thank you” you stated simply, heat rising to your cheeks. he laughed at your bashful expression. “maybe amnesia isn’t such a bad thing” he said, pulling you up out of your position on the dock. you raised a brow, looking at him with apparent curiosity. gesturing for him to go on, percy continued, “well, it means you get to fall in love with me all over again”. he feigned pain when you playfully punched his shoulder. the voice from before was louder now, annoyance evident in its tone. percy said goodbye, but before he could fully turn away, you used your good arm to pull him towards your form. the boy yelped in surprise, but confusion turned to joy when he felt your lips against his cheek. a smirk crept onto his lips, and the brunette began to tease you endlessly. rolling your eyes, you pushed him away, “someone needs you, dork”. he pouted, “can i at least get one for the road?” he called out. you shrugged in reply and laughed as he groaned and walked away from you.
you retook your seat at the dock, legs swinging over the edge. it was darker now, and the moon painted your face with a dim glow. you were alone again, but this time your heart was left feeling a little more full than before

Undercover (Pt.1)
A/N: This as usual, was written by a friend of mine. Also for all of you who have sent in requests, they will be out soon, we are working on them. Part two for this fic will be out soon too.
TW: Depressive and Intrusive thoughts, Self-hate, Percy and the reader being assholes, A LOT of swearing, mentions of blood, pls tell me if I missed something else. You have been warned.
Summary: Y/n, a loner with a bad rep. Percy, the hero, Hard words are exchanged and feelings are hurt. Angst and Fluff. Percyxmasc!Reader
(During TOA. Also, Percy's in the camp in for this one.)
. Ever since arriving to CHB, Y/n had a reputation for being selfish and uncaring.
. He never bothered to help anyone with anything- be it sorting reports for Chiron, or fighting monsters.
Maybe that was why he'd caught the eye of many in the positive and negative way.
Y/n was a loner- black dress, studded coat, undercut and a celestial bronze sword. Nothing else. One would think he was a child of Hades, but no one knew. He stayed in the Hermes cabin, unclaimed, which was surprising-considering he was about 17. Hell, he's stayed loyal to CHB and fought alongside the warriors during Titan war and Gaea's wake-up tantrum. He was there when Lester and Meg came into camp and had made sure Nero's spies monsters in disguise- were dealt with by sneaking out of camp every night. But that didn't mean it didn't hurt any less. After
years of watching other demigods being claimed and leaving, Y/n had grown to think maybe there was a reason he wasn't claimed. He began to pretend liking the way things were, and made it seem like he didn't care, all the while ignoring the hollow feeling of being a burden to his anonymous godly parent. On the bright side, he felt like he wasn't at least judged for being a child of… he didn't know. The fierce demigod worked hard, raising to the level he was the most respected self-trained swordsman and athlete.
But he also had a tendency to ignore and disrespect his cabinmates, miss practices, pick up arguments with the Stoll brothers or any other cabin counsellor. He always practiced alone, never tutored the newcomers, and belittled people who merely tried to start a conversation with him. He was seen as selfish, and didn't give a damn.
Y/n had his set of problem, haters, skills and talents, and un
caring-ness.
But that didn't mean he was evil.
Y/n frowned as he snuck out of the cabin. It was his usual nights where he roamed around the city, found potentially suspicious humans (monsters) after which he would corner them, interrogate and finally disintegrate the poor monster. Interestingly, he had felt a pit of dread rise in his gut that day, like a forewarning. He knew what was to occur.
Now, if there was one thing Y/n had learnt in his life as being a demigod, it was to trust his instincts. But Y/n's was also known as a person who went in search of trouble. He knew there would be consequences, but hell, who gave a damn about it?
He definitely regretted his philosophy now, collapsing back on his bed in Cabin 11, torso filled with cuts and scratches. Who's wouldn't, having fought off about what? Seventy-plus of weird headed monsters? The boy had only so much strength to bandage himself with a roll of stolen toilet paper and gobble down some
ambrosia. He had learnt valuable information though, sending a scroll of secretive information to Lester through Hermes Express before calling it a day.
"Wake up Knob Head," Y/n groaned and muttered a string of
curses at the younger Stoll brother.
"You fucking soaked me!"
"S what you get for waking up late, Corn Nuts." Connor left, leaving the boy alone in th cabin. Y/n let out a noise of confusion noticing the injuries unhealed. "Huh? Strange…" Wrapping it with actual bandages, he left the cabin, softly closing the
door.
Percy watched the raven-haired teen walk up to the dining pavilion, barely managing to steady himself, before sitting in his own corner of the Hermes table. He frowned, sensing something was wrong right away.
Percy had first seen the guy in a corner of the Hermes Cabin, "What's wrong? Why is he sitting all alone?" He'd asked Luke. Luke gave the young male a brief glance of pity before replying, "Nothing, he just doesn't like socializing. Don't mind him. Or try befriending him. It never works." Despite being intrigued, Percy had followed that religiously, avoiding the kid whenever he got close and now regretted it. He wished he could have befriended the loner instead of shunning him away. Percy watched on as kids had been claimed by their respective Godly parents while the loner stood near Chiron with an emotionless face, the latter with a sympathetic look. Y/n, as he later learnt, was the angsty teen's name. He'd seen the mean, selfish and uncaring reputation being given to the boy. He also noted how he'd always missed archery practice and trained all alone, never interacting with people other than pick up arguments. Percy knew the peer pressure had driven the teen to this stage, and at a point feared if Y/n was going to turn out as a Luke 2.0. Those fears were dissipated, noting that he
been through two wars with the camp and fought extensively for
them.
What confused Percy was not the handsome guy himself, but Percy's opinions of considering the guy handsome. He couldn't explain why his hands went clammy and his heartbeat going overdrive whenever Y/n was about. It was only when his mother had given him the talk, did he consider it a possibility. Every time Y/n passed, Percy wanted nothing more than kiss those soft lips and pin his hands and
"Woohoo? Earth to Percy?" A waving hand snapped him out of his trance, and he was face to face with Annabeth, his best friend.
"Wha-?"
"Just ask him out already!" She exclaimed, exasperated. "I can literally see you undressing him with your eyes." "I-I d-did no such t-thing!" He tried to deny, praying she wouldn't see
the blush on his cheeks. "Yeah right. 'I-I d-did no such t-thing.' Have I told you that you're a
terrible liar?"
"Yeah…I know, know…but look, what chance do / have with him? He's like a god damn sculpture come alive!" Annabeth gave him a sly smiled. "Didn't you hear?" "What?"
"He's gay. Apparently some Aphrodite kids tried to set him up with this shy newbie. Only to be told he wasn't into girls. See, you do have a chance, you just gotta try. Who knows, maybe there might be a chance he feels the same way too, right?" Percy sighed. "Annabeth, please don't get my hopes up."
She squeezed his shoulder. "Give it a try. You never know, Seaweed Brain.
See ya later."
.
She left him in deep thought. Maybe, he thought, he should give it a shot. Besides, if he did get his heart broken, he would be over it at once, instead of this insecure wait and admiring from afar.
Today, he decided, he'd talk to you, and somehow ask you out (without melting into a puddle, hopefully. Or causing the sinks to explode).
"Hey! Y/n! Wait up!" Y/n groaned for the nth time that day, before glaring at the owner the voice, It was Percy Jackson, which confused him. Why in Olympus would the Percy Jackson talk to him?
Oh Percy, Percy. He had no idea. Y/n knew Percy had wanted to make friends with him the day he stepped into the cabin. He heard what Luke had told him, and hated him for that. After all, Luke wasn't the one who'd seen his dads fall victim to monsters, pleading him to leave before falling limp near his feet. Dead. And so, Y/n ran. He was terrified of what had happened, and it was a miracle he'd bumped into a satyr, who'd lead him to CHB. All the while explaining what being a demigod was like- not what Y/n would call a happy life. It turned sour when the teen stood alongside Chiron, watching the other demigods getting claimed. He had also not missed the pitiful glances given to him, and he hated it. His rebellious nature got worse, with everyone just pressuring him to socialize, and Y/n felt like he was drowning in a pit of unnecessary expectations, suffocating himself. He then decided enough was enough. He became selfish, uncaring and a snarky loner. He began disrespecting and insulting people, hoping they would avoid them. It worked. If no one would see him hiding his pain with a mean personality, so be it.
Having a crush on Percy was another thing. His dads were gay, so he had no problem accepting himself. Some nights, after sneaking out, he'd peep through the Cabin 3 windows to stare a him for a few seconds, smile faintly, and in the next few seconds, he was gone. Knowing he didn't have a chance with Percy, he settled for sneaky glances and sleepy Jacksons.
"Perseus Jackson," he spat.
Percy panted a little before replying. "Y-yeah, that's me. But you can call me Percy." He blushed. Cute, Y/n thought.
"What do you want? swear, if it's Chiron who sent you to tell me to
reports-"
sort
"No!" He fiddled with the hem of his shirt. "I-I mean, no, Chiron didn't send me here. I…" he faltered. "I came here to talk to you." "Wha-Why?" Y/n shifted, wishing his injuries would stop bothering him.
"…um….I just…I-"
"Get on with it, Jackson! You think have all day?"
Percy frowned, "You don't have to be so rude, you know?" He rolled his eyes, hoping it would cover up for his surprise for being called out, "Oh? And you don't have to tell me what I'm supposed to do, Glory Boy. Why don't you go and hook up with that Anna-something girl? Or are you gonna be a Mama's boy?" "What-?"
"Or are you gonna go around causing more deaths, Seaweed Brain?" He immediately regretted his words. And that was one of those instances Y/ n wished he could control his goddamn mouth.
Percy's eyes darkened, like he'd snapped. "You are sick, you know? All you do is create chaos in the camp. You are a selfish, uncaring, sick jerk who doesn't bother to help or empathize with younger demigods. You never listen, but now I'll tell you- You. Are. Pathetic. For Olympus sake, you do nothing but insult and argue! Everyone's tired of you. You are nothing but a fucking disgrace to the camp. No wonder you were never claimed. Wonder why your mortal parent left you? Go figure. Might as well do us a flavor and kill yourself, you know? No one needs you here." Percy was still panting, but it was no longer from the running.. Eyes wide, Y/n tried to take in and process everything. It took him a minute, but when the words finally sunk in it felt like the hole in his heart was growing bigger, gnawing his chest and suffocating him to the point he couldn't breath. Each word said by him felt like a knife, stabbing him repeatedly until what was left was a broken heart. And guilt. So much for love, eh?
Percy's eyes widened, "Y/n-" "Spare it." His voice was more of a growl. "If you came here for this bullshit, do spare it. I don't waste my time on Shit Heads like you. So fuck off, Jackson."
"Y/n wait-" But he'd already left, into the woods.
....
(In the big house, before the counsellor's meeting)
"Hmm," mused Annabeth. "Fault on both sides, and blaming each other than fixing things doesn't really make it any better, you know." "I know…I know what did was wrong, and feel bad- that's an
understatement."
"I would tell you to go and apologize, but there again he shouldn't have said those things. He's lucky you love him or I'd have kicked his ass." Percy gave a frustrated groan, tugging on his hair. "I know! I don't understand what to do! I'm expecting an apology first but do want to apologize too cuz I feel so bad and- Fuck. I'm a mess huh?" "I guess you can say that. Where is he?"
"Percy…?" Annabeth gave him a warning look. "Where did he go?"
"Disappeared."
"Huh?"
"Into the forest." She sighed.
"Doesn't get any worse. You both royally fucked up. The first thing you
do when this meeting is over is apologize to him, because it says more about you than him. What matters is that you regret what you did." "Yeah," he agreed. Percy was worried and ashamed. No matter how stoic he was, Y/n was still a human with feelings. He didn't deserve those harsh words, no one did.
. "And this concludes our counsellors meeting. Percy and Annabeth, stay behind. The rest of you are dismissed." They shared a look. That never ended well.
"What is it, Chiron?"
The centaur waved his hand. "Watch."" "Hey Chiron!" Lester's face appeared on the flickering Iris message.
"Hello Lester. Hope you are doing good. How is the quest going?" The recording continued.
"Um…actually, that's why I called. For the past…I don't know, sometime, I guess, I've been receiving scrolls containing information about Nero. It always appears anonymous but figured it's always from Camp Half Blood. It actually helped us a lot. So yeah, thanks, I guess. Had it not been the scroll I received yesterday, we'd have walked straight into a trap. Also, I really wanted to call you earlier for warning 'bout a 'mini surprise-attack-on-camp-half-blood, but apparently the someone who sent me this dealt with it. Once again, take care. Goodbye." The IM vanished.
Chiron gave them a look. "So I'm safe to assume we have an undercover agent who not only captures Nero's spies but has also dealt with this
'Mini-attack-on-CHB' issue?" "Yeah, I guess…but it wasn't us." Annabeth said, causing a pair of
eyebrows to rise.
"Really, Chiron, we didn't do anything. Besides, Mr. D would have stopped us." Percy voiced.
"Well, well, looks like we got a mystery in our hands." Chiron looked at them, "This is to be confidential, all right? We don't need more half bloods snooping around and breaking rules." Both of them nodded. "Maybe we can snoop around and figure out who it is." He whispered once they were out of earshot.
"Well, we'll see, but remember the first thing you promised to do?"
Annabeth asked.
"Yeah." Percy looked towards to forest. "Find Y/n and apologize." "And Percy?" He turned, meeting his friend's sad gaze.
"What?"
"Don't ask him about his parents."
"Why?"
"Just…don't, okay?" "…Okay."
Y/n didn't know where he was, having run all the way from the arena. He didn't bother contain his tears and sobs, or notice his short gasps and the thorns that had pricked his skin. After years of carefully keeping his façade up, all the pent up emotions
finally broke free. He collapsed under a juniper tree, curling into himself and pleaded, no begged the voices to stop haunting him. He knew they would convince him of being worthless if they kept going. It's true, look at you now, where are you? Crying. Insufferable.
No…Please not this…
You have no friends. You do nothing but pick up petty arguments and insult people who don't fucking deserve you! know I fucking shouldn't have pushed people way. I'm sorry, I know I
don't deserve them. Just please stop! I'm begging you….
Why do you think your dads are dead? You are the reason!
Y/n let out a blood-curling scream. His dads. They were supposed to be alive. And happy. And they would have been now, had he not been his fault. He didn't deserve to live.
there. He was supposed to be killed and now… They were dead. It was all
Pathetic.
A sob erupted.
Selfish jerk. Worthless.
Maybe I actually am…aren't I? You're a disgrace. No one will ever love you.
Another sob.
You are nothing but a disappointment!….Y/n? Y/n!
And another.
Look, the camp doesn't want you. Hell, even your Godly Parent doesn't want you! Percy's right, you are a fucking waste of space, might as well go and kill yourself. It's not like anyone would care anyway.
Please….stop…
A warm hand on his cheek snapped him out of trance. The sniffling teen looked up to meet sea-green hues and a worried face of Percy. He gave him a tired, watery smile. He felt too drained to even come up with and insult, much less fight him. He just wanted it to stop. The hate, the pressure, the pain.
"Oh, Y/n…I'm so sorry." Percy looked genuinely upset. Y/n didn't react to him hugging the other, but welcomed the warmth nonetheless. He let himself be cradled, like a child, letting his touch-starved self experience some physical contact. Percy threaded his hand through his hair, hoping it would help calm him down.
Just make it stop. Please." He whispered, mid sob. "I'm sorry" "I'm so sorry, baby. I didn't mean a word I'd told you. Don't listen to those voices, Y/n. You know they are not true." "I just wanted to be loved, you know? Is that too much to ask?"
....
"I just wanted to be loved, you know? Is that too much to ask?" Percy could have sworn his heart was cracking. He cupped the other teen's face in his hands and tilted his view towards him. "Now listen Y/n, we both know that's not true. Don't you realize how much you mean to everyone? Just look at yourself! You're beautiful, smart, sexy, hardworking, dedicated, fuck, I could go on and on…. But that's not it. You are loved. No matter who much you argue, it's the truth. You're loved. You deserve a better life. You might not see it, and others could assume you are the bad guy but trust me, I've see you. You have a pure heart which didn't deserve to go through all that pain. Baby, you are loved and needed. Don't you dare listen to those voices." Y/n bit his lip. He might need more reassurance in the future but for now, he could settle for these words, which made him feel better. Hopefully a small start towards a big recovery. "T-thank you."
Y/n buried himself further into Percy's torso, taking in the smell of the
sea and cookies. "I'm sorry," he said, breaking the comfortable silence. Percy scrunched
his eyebrows.
"Huh?"
"I'm sorry for being…fucking hell, was a jerk back there. I knew I crossed the line. I didn't mean a word said. I…I don't even know why I said but really regret it and fell so bad-" "It's okay," Percy said.
"Huh?" Y/n stared at him. Who was this person? "It's okay! No it's not, Percy. I shouldn't have said such monstrous things yet I did. How could it be okay?"
"I know you didn't mean it. Just as I didn't mean what I said to you. I'm sorry too. What I said back there…I don't know what came over me.
Just…don't believe those harsh words Y/n. Please don't. I shouldn't have disturbed you. knew you were in a bad mood…but I still-"
"No! Don't take responsibility for my actions, Percy. It's my fault, and a bad mood doesn't excuse it. I'm so sorry, I'm going to stop being a jerk to anyone and everyone from now."
"That would be nice," He whispered. "And again, I'm sorry for yelling stuff like that. I didn't mean it. I was being insensitive. You are needed and welcome in the camp. Just…please don't go. I'm so sorry." "Hey, hey, Perce, I'm not going anywhere. It's okay Y/n assured, facing him. He saw the other's eyes flicker to his lips. This was his chance. Y/n leaned in, and softly brushed his parched lips against Percy's. The latter was still and for a second, Y/n thought he'd gone too far, but those fears dissolved once Percy started kissing back eagerly. Things started getting a little heated. Percy bit teasingly Y/n lips, cupping his cheek and his other hand going to his waist. The latter let out a growl, his hands run through Percy's messed up hair and neck. Percy was pushed (more like pinned) back on the bark of the tree, and he let out a small moan as their tongues fought for dominance. He felt like he was living his dream. His heartbeat was going miles an hour and the sparks brought by the touches drove him crazy and he felt sure Y/n was feeling the same. It was like they were meant to be, and this was meant to happened. He kissed back desperately, afraid if he were to let go, Y/n would disappear. The latter responded with vigor, but a sense of assurance and love surrounded him, like he'd sensed Percy's fears. He wasn't going anywhere.
They parted, gasping for air, and Y/n laughed. The first time since…he didn't remember, but now it didn't matter. He finally felt happy, and free. He now had a reason to smile. A genuine one. Percy joined, chorusing the melody of happiness. "I love you." Y/n said, breathless.
"Love you too." Their foreheads touching, arms intertwined, eyes closed and smiles of joy, both of them wanted nothing more than that. "So…. Will you do the honor of being my boyfriend?" He smiled teasingly, watching him. He'd detected a sluggishness and before he could do anything
"Percy…I…" Y/n slumped on the trunk, an alarmed Percy calling his name.
Only then did he notice…bandages. Soaked bandages.
"Shit."
"What's taking them so long?" Annabeth exclaimed, kicking a pebble in her way. Silence prevailed. "You know what? I'm going to check what's going on-"
"Annabeth"
She stopped pacing to see Percy-carrying and unconscious Y/n?
"Shit." She ran up to them. "It's almost evening! What happened?"
"I don't know! He just passed out and I discovered he's got Bandages on which were soaked in blood-"
"Medics! Fuck, no one's around- Percy, get him to the infirmary!"
Percy was made to wait for about two hours before Will and Chiron let him to see the teen sitting on the bed grinning. Getting reprimanded.
"You gave me a heart attack!" "Sorry heh" "Spill. Now." "I guess I owe you that"
Finally spilling the beans.
"You know... I sneak out of camp every couple days after curfew and well... check out for suspicious activities. That's how I came across Nero's spies and CCTV's. I capture, interrogate nd send valuable information to Lester-off course with a note saying I have no Idea if it was true or a trap, but I do it anyway. It's fun, so I guess it's a win-win."
Percy hella awed (and maybe a little jealous? Oh, secretly kinda guilty, cuz he did nothing to help him all along).
"No fair! How come Mr.D never stops you?"
Annabeth eavesdropping and connecting the pieces. Bursting through the door. "You are the undercover agent who'd not only captured Nero's spies but also dealt with the 'mini-attack-on-CHB' issue, aren't you? Don't you dare deny it. That's why you're bleeding. It was from previous night's attack, wasn't it?"
"H-how did you-? Nevermind. Yeah, um, I guess."
"I knew it! Well, now that it's solved I'm going to-"
"Please don't tell Chiron!" Y/n pleading.
"Unless you have a better lie..."
"..."
"I still don't understand how Mr.D never stopped him." Percy said, pouting.
"I'm gonna leave you two alone, no funny business, ya hear me?" Cue blushing teens.
"You never answered my question." Percy said, once she'd left.
"Huh?"
"Will you be my boyfriend?"
"I was going to ask that, Jackson, but hell Yeah."
Cue kisses on the face, jokes and laughter.
Sure Y/n might be in (more) trouble, have problems, haters, and a medical treatment- but all those could wait. All that mattered was that they were together, and heck, none of those could seperate them.
The end.

Sunshine and Midnight Rain
Luke Castellan x Apollo kid!Reader
Tumblr media
word count: 851
summary: Luke castellan and the daughter of apollos love story
a/n: “remember who the enemy is” IM TRYING
Luke Castellan held your heart since the day you met, and you held his.
You arrived at camp a few months after Luke. You were one of the lucky ones, claimed within an hour of being there. Your godly father is Apollo, god of poetry, the sun, music, narcissism, idiocy, stupidity, all that. You had assumed the gods would act superior to all, no matter if they were or weren’t. But Apollo was on a completely different level. You didn’t know why he had taken such a liking to you.
“You remind him of himself,” Your half sister, Kayla, had told you, “an archer who never misses, healer who fixes every wound, gifted singer, and somehow picked up the lyre in a day. And yet, you still ask why Apollo loves you the most?”
“I wish he wouldn’t,” you twirl the golden arrow he gifted you.
“y’know, that hermes boy has been staring since the moment you stepped foot here,” she smiles, nodding to the tan boy sitting on a picnic table.
“Great, more attention,” you keep your sights on the boy, lucas? Luca, maybe?
“His name’s luke castellan,” kayla says, ah luke, that’s it.
“He’s handsome,” you say matter of factly.
“Don’t trust those Hermes boys, all they do is lie,” Kayla leans back and rolls her eyes.
“It’s a good thing I play the lyre.”
——————
“You’ve got a great shot,” a deep voice says from behind you.
You’ve been at the range for around an hour, it’s 4:30, you always practice when no one else is around.
“The whole reason why I come out here this early is so i can be alone,” sure, it sounds mean but you swear you’re not trying to be.
“Sorry, once I see you it’s hard to look away,” you’re not looking at him but you can tell me has the biggest smirk on his face.
“Funny,” you tell him bluntly.
You set down your bow, keeping the arrow in your hand, and sit on the nearby grass. He lays down beside you, you follow his lead and put your hands behind your head.
“That arrow, it’s like it’s made of the sun,” He says amazed.
“A gift from dear old dad. No matter how far I shoot it’ll always come back. Supposed to be a sign of his love or something. But I think he just constantly wants me to be annoyed by him,” you inform him possibly too much.
“Most people would be grateful if their godly parent cares that much,” he says.
“It’s different with Apollo, there is no such thing as true altruism with him,” you bite your inner lip.
“I get that, I’m just tryna say- Hermes never showed up for me, and I'd kill to just have him tell me he cares,” His eyes furrow.
“Guess we both have different priorities,” you smile.
“Opposites work best don’t they?” He smiles back.
“Isn’t it opposites attract?” You wonder.
“Hey, your words, not mine,” he laughs.
“That one’s Orion,” You point up at the constellation.
“He was always my favorite,” he adds.
“Mine has always been Cassiopeia, but you can never see her over here,” You look back up at the sky.
“That one’s Taurus, and then Sirius below, and Gemini above,” you point each of them out.
Even though he hums in acknowledgment his eyes are locked on you.
“You’re staring, again” You mention.
“I told you I can’t help it, especially when you glow like that,” he reaches out and touches your face.
You reach out and grab his hand, running your fingers against his slender digits.
“I’d like to be a constellation when I die, maybe my father will fulfill that wish,” you say to him.
“That’ll be my last wish too, we can lay in the stars together.”
——————
It’s been a day since Percy Jackson came to Camp Half-blood. It just so happens to be your favorite day of the year, capture the flag. You have led the archers on the blue team for years, you’d say you’re doing well for what you’re given. Besides your siblings in Apollo the rest of the kids weren’t as gifted in archery.
As the first conch shell blew you were preparing for your mock-battle. Annabeth in charge of the plan and Percy, Luke with company, and you with the archers. You knew you could, no- would win. The archers took the trees, helping stray company from the skies.
“Today feels like a winning kind of day?” Annabeth asks luke.
“I’ll see you on the other side,” He smiles.
“Luke!” You pull him aside for a moment.
You cup his face the best you can through his armor. “You don’t get hurt okay? I don’t feel like healing anymore wounds from you. Understand?”
“Oh but I love to see you healing” he holds your hand and smirks
“Archers! Move out!” You call your team, eyes still locked with his, smiling.
“so… you and her?” Percy asks the taller boy.
“how could I not? She's perfect. I mean, I genuinely believe I could live without the sun if I just had her.”
And maybe, just maybe, he could.

Apples
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Luke Castellan x Reader
Summary: You tossed an apple to Luke without knowing the meaning of it in Greek Mythology (fluff, friends to lovers, happy ending)
Note: Just wanted to write something lighthearted and funny. Since I saw somewhere that apparently throwing an apple at someone means something in Greek Mythology, thought I should use it as a prompt.
Word count: 3.1k
You have been at Camp Half-Blood for a year. Within that time, you’ve been claimed by your Godly parent, learned so many things about Greek mythology, and, best of all, made friends who understood exactly what you were going through and all whom you loved dearly.
One of them was Luke Castellan. You two were relatively close friends, though you swore he treated you differently than he would with others at camp. But you didn’t want to be foolish and assumed it was something. That didn’t mean you don’t treat him differently than you would with other campers though. You have always had a soft spot for Luke in your heart. You weren’t exactly sure when it happened, but you found yourself thinking about him too often.
“Anyway, Percy. Don’t worry too much, honestly. We all have been through what you’re currently going through. You’ll fit right in, yeah?” the younger boy offered you a lope-sided smile as you patted his back and stood up.
“Alright, boys, I have to go now, but I’ll see you later,” you said before grabbing your plate, which would have been empty if it wasn’t for the apple you hadn’t eaten. The rest of the table - which included Chris, Luke, and Percy - said their goodbyes before chattering again as you walked away. However, you halted as you changed your mind about wasting the apple.
You turned back to look at the group before calling out, “Hey, Castellan.” However, you were slightly caught off guard to see Luke already having his eyes on you.
Luke swore that you have always had him mesmerized. If he even heard a whisper of your voice, his head would immediately try to locate you. To make matters worse, Chris even started calling Luke a “lost puppy” when he realized how your departure would always leave Luke like one.
“Catch,” you tossed your apple at Luke.
Multiple heads turned in your direction as the red apple hurled through the air before landing neatly in Luke’s hands. The Hermes cabin counselor had his eyes glued onto the fruit that was in his palms. You almost halted in your steps from his and other camper’s reactions. Some started whispering to their friends, pointing at you. You even heard one gasp. But you ignored them, finding it strange that people cared so much about such a small interaction.
“You can have it. I don’t think I’ll have time to eat it,” with that, you vanished from the scene, leaving at least half of the camp agape, including Luke and your friends.
Then, the strangest of things happened for the next few days. It started with Luke already stationed outside when you exited your cabin the morning after. He cheekily presented you with one singular flower in his hand, and you took it with playful words, “Ooh, what did I do to deserve this special treatment today?”
“Nothing, just thought I should show how much I appreciate you,” Luke put his arm over your shoulder as the two of you made your way to the dining pavilion. You could feel your cheeks flushing at his action. He has never done this before. With his arms around you, the sides of your bodies brushed as the two of you walked. You noticed almost immediately how every other person would have their eyes on the two of you. But you ignored the attention and focused on Luke instead.
The sweet actions didn’t stop at flowers or more physical touches. For the next three days, Luke was stuck to your hip. So it was quite strange that you have not spotted the Hermes cabin counselor in the last two hours. Hence why you were spending some time with Clarisse, another close friend of yours. However, you felt an arm swinging around your shoulders, and you instantly recognized who it was from the familiar touch.
“Hey, Clarisse, can I borrow Y/N real quick?” Luke asked, quickly muttering a “thank you” when your friend nodded. “So, I have something to give you…” your face must have shown how surprised you were because he chuckled at your reaction. However, when the boy pulled his gift out from his cargo pocket, your mouth fell slightly agape at the reveal.
Luke must have misinterpreted your reaction because he started nervously rambling, his voice a few octaves higher, “It’s not much, but honestly, this is all I can do with my arts and crafts skills. I’m just not really good with that y-”
“It’s perfect, Luke. Thank you so much!” you gave him a brief hug, but it was enough to stun him for a second. Luke felt this urgent sense of craving from how your bodies fit for a second. It’s as if he was made to hold you. He almost pulled you back into another hug but had to force himself to regain composure. Nevertheless, that didn’t last long because his eyes softened again at the sight of you trying on the bracelet he made. The beads in your favorite color, crafted with care, wrapped around your wrist perfectly, and you wonder how he knew just the right size to make it.
The truth was Luke had to ask Clarisse to steal one of your bracelets just so he could make a bracelet of the correct size. But you didn't need to know that, though - according to him.
The next night, there was a social gathering near the campfire. Luke reapproached the location with a hoodie in hand. Earlier, Luke excused himself to fetch the clothing item that was now in his hand that was meant for you. However, his brows scrunched as he spotted another figure next to you, sitting in the spot that he previously occupied. You were laughing at something they said. The way your laugh echoed in his head usually sounded like a lullaby or the enchanting voice of a siren. But right now, the idea that someone else elicited the same laugh made him want to hurl behind the bush he was standing next to.
Little did he know you were zoning out from whatever the other boy was speaking about, thus the fake laugh to not blow your cover. You were distracted just thinking about Luke and everything he has done so far - offering his portion of dessert to you because he knew it was your favorite; him winning Capture the Flag and ignoring everybody else to go hug you first, then having his eyes on you and only you afterwards; sneaking out of camp to go buy the items you mentioned once that you wish you had at camp and so on.
Your mind quickly reminded you that the boy sitting next to you was still talking to you. However, when you snapped out of your thoughts again, you realized now he was looking at you expectantly and you scrambled your mind for a reply.
Thank Gods Luke plopped down on your other side, saving you from having to admit to the other boy that you were not listening to him. “Hey, you’re back,” you commented. Luke’s arm automatically threw itself around your shoulder and tugged you to him slightly. Your body leaned on the Hermes cabin counselor ever so naturally at this before you turned to him. Luke quickly set his clothing on your lap, and you stared at it questioningly.
“You’re cold, right?”
“Oh, yeah,” your cheeks flushed again at how he knew without you telling him. You shivered maybe once or twice earlier due to the night air lowering the temperature, but it was so brief you were sure nobody had noticed. As you put on the hoodie, Luke averted his gaze from you to the guy on your other side.
The Hermes cabin counselor arched one of his eyebrows in a challenging manner. Almost immediately, his ‘opponent’ slightly raised both of his hands. Luke internally snickered at the quick motion of surrender.
“My bad, man,” you heard the other boy say as you managed to put your head through the clothing item and pull it down. Luke was physically preening at the other boy’s words and departure. Meanwhile, you were distracted by how you were engulfed by the smell of Luke from his hoodie. Your height difference also meant you were swimming in it, but it felt so comfortable.
“What was that?” you asked once the other boy was gone.
“Nothing…” even the most oblivious person could see that Luke was lying. But, once again, you did not question his actions and carried on with the gathering. You could also feel other campers staring at the two of you, but you ignored that as well.
That night - like every other night since four days ago - he walked you back to your cabin. You were honestly completely smitten by the attention he has given you, not that you would admit that to him. You were still not sure what caused the change, but you were still elated about it. Maybe he did return your feelings? Either way, everything felt perfect lately, and you went to sleep that night feeling like the stars aligned for you.
“I guess congratulations are in order?” Percy spoke up as you lined up for food the following day.
“What do you mean?” you asked, taking the plate of food. Today’s meal consisted of mac n’ cheese, steak, and an apple.
“You’re engaged?” you almost dropped your plate at that and gave the son of Poseidon a questioning look. “You proposed to Luke like a week ago?”
“What? When?”
“When you threw him the apple? That is considered a marriage proposal.”
“Since when?”
“Uh, in Ancient Greek culture, it’s considered a marriage proposal if a man throws an apple at a lady. But, I mean, it’s the 21st century, so I guess it can work both ways.” Percy finally took a plate of food for himself. “And if the recipient catches it, it’s considered an acceptance.”
“You saw this and knew this whole time without telling me?!?”
“I thought you knew! And you two seem so smitten already, so I thought you did it on purpose.”
“Percy, no! Is this a well-known thing? Do you think other people who saw it too thought I proposed to Luke as well?” Seeing Percy’s look and how he was fumbling with his words, you quickly requested, “Actually, no, don’t answer that.”
The two of you walked over to Luke and Chris with plates in hand. You picked up the apple on your plate and placed it on the table.
“Luke, we need to talk,” You deliberately placed the fruit there, hoping the boy would get a hint about the topic you wanted to discuss. Luke’s eyes flicked from the fruit to you. Though the hint of amusement in his eyes and a sheepish grin made you realize he knew all along. Luke stood up and followed you out of sight and hearing distance from other campers whose eyes were trailing after the two of you.
“You knew what it meant, and you didn’t tell me?” You broke the silence as soon as you two were far away enough.
“Listen, I appreciate your proposal. But, it’s a little bit fast, don’t you think?” Luke teased, and you instantly hit his arm at that, causing the boy to flinch slightly, but the smile on his face told you he was anything but mad at your action.
“But you caught it. So, technically, you said yes,” you rebutted, sighing as you rubbed your face, “My Gods, does everybody at camp think we’re engaged? Wait, is this a substitute for an engagement ring? Did you give this to me because of that?” you pointed to the bracelet Luke gave you, your mind now understanding Clarisse’s teasing and her implications. You could see the way Luke was stifling a laugh. He settled with saying something else when he saw the pure panic on your face.
“Sweetheart, calm down.” the nickname successfully silenced you. You hated how it made you feel, but you would not mind hearing that daily. “No, it’s not an engagement ring.”
“Oh, so were you doing all of these romantic gestures and gifts on purpose to make fun of me and the situation?” you asked, though it was more with a lighthearted tone than one of temper. However, something shifted because the expression on Luke’s face changed from one of humor to earnestness.
“No, I didn’t do all this to make fun of the situation or you…” Luke’s voice fell off as tried to find the right words to say next. In that split second, Luke took a deep breath, and you could see how nervous he suddenly became, though he still kept a light tone. “I did it because I took it as a chance to maybe…win you over, and it also gives me an advantage because it fended off many other guys.”
Undoubtedly, you were frozen in place, unable to register the words he was saying and the implications they bear. Neither did the boy in front of you act like the Luke you usually know - somebody who was usually confident, outgoing, always having his way with words. No, the person in front of you could not even hold eye contact, the pink hue on his cheeks now spreading to the tip of his ears as he shifted left and right. Luke broke the silence first, giving away the nerves that were gnawing him away from your lack of response.
“How about this? I’ll say ‘no’ to your mind-blowing marriage proposal for now,” you lightheartedly hit him again, rolling your eyes playfully. Seeing a positive reaction from you, Luke let out a small breath of relief, but the nerves quickly overtook again as he mustered up all the courage to utter his counter proposal: “But maybe we could start with something slower like going on a date? — Or I’ll even settle with you allowing me to try and ‘woo’ you.” Luke added the last bit as insurance, in case you didn’t want to take up on the date. Part of his mind wanted to scowl at himself for seeming so desperate - but Gods, he has always been a desperate man when it comes to you.
“You’re such a dork.”
“Yet you still proposed to me.”
“You’ll never let me live that down, will you?” Luke only shook his head in response. Once again, you haven’t responded to his offer. Luke could see that you were in deep thought, the cogs turning in your head as you digested what he just said.
“You mean it? That you wanna go on a date? That you wanna “woo” me and sweep me off my feet?” you questioned. Despite the humor in your voice, there was also a hint of vulnerability and cautiousness. “Does this mean what you’ve been doing for the past few days…they are all genuine?”
“Is it that hard to believe that I like you? I don’t think you even fully understand the feelings I have for you. I’ve had my eyes on you for a year now, which is the entire time I know you, and I’m afraid I can’t see that changing any time soon.” Luke had to bite his tongue to prevent himself from saying more because he was sure he would never stop talking about you if he could. Maybe those unspoken words ought to be things Luke would disclose in the future. If you give him the chance, he will ensure you hear everything he adored about you.
“Well, that’s good then, ‘cause I happen to like you too,” your words made Luke’s eyes snap to yours, almost in disbelief.
Luke felt as if his heart was blocking his airway by the way it was thumping so hard in his chest to the point he could feel the vibration in his neck. He held his breath over your confession and the way you were looking at him. Oh, Luke was convinced he was utterly doomed because how could he be so affected by one single look. He was suddenly unsure whether he would be able to handle your affections or ever live without it if it was taken from him. He’d spend the rest of eternity like a deprived man.
“Aw, look who is nervous now,” you teased, deciding to somewhat torture him and get him back for teasing you earlier. “I did not think I had this kind of effect on you, Castellan,” you approached him slowly, keeping eye contact with his now dilated pupils.
“I mean…all I did was say a couple of words and you’re all tongue tied. What would happen to you if I do this?” you swiftly grabbed Luke’s camp beads and pulled him down, eliminating a significant amount of space between your faces, though not completely. To steady himself during your action, Luke’s hands steadied on your hips and stumbled slightly, though you did not mind the touch.
You never knew it was possible for his face to flush even more, but it did. Luke gulped and your eyes casted down on the way his Adam’s apple moved when he did so. The way he reacted to you only intoxicated you with power even more. You glanced upwards a bit, eyes observing his lips for a split second before looking back up at his eyes. You smirked when you caught his eyes flickering back to yours from your lips as well.
Just as you were about to close the distance, Luke pulled back just a bit, finally able to speak, though his words were heavy warnings, “If this happens—” Luke stopped, unsure he should let you know. Luke shook his head lightly as his eyes traced over your features before continuing, “If we kiss, there is no going back for me. I don’t think I could just…forget about it. So, please, just be sure before you do it.” Your eyes softened at his words.
“I promise, Luke. I am sure,” you muttered, though Luke knew you meant the words by heart from the way you were looking at him.
You finally pulled the boy down again using his camp necklace.
As your lips touched Luke’s, he let out a content sigh. His hands clung onto your hips, pulling you flush against his own body while you caressed both sides of his face in your hands. Luke felt like the world was swallowing him whole. The boy now knew what your lips tasted like, and it felt like an addiction. He could feel his heart waving white flags at that moment, completely surrendering to you. He was right before. There was no going back from this.
But oh, if Luke knew an apple was all it took, he would have tossed one to you himself.

percy jackson is famous.
ok thats putting it lightly, percy jackson is extremely famous. in fact he is one of the youngest million-almost-billion-aires in the world. the twenty-two year old has an incredible influence on the world. how he got famous? no one really knows.
maybe its the fact that society drops at the feet of any good-looking rich boy. or maybe he actually did work for it like the rest of the word, we'll never know.
but.
y/n l/n is even more famous.
she's a force to be reckoned with, taking the world by storm with her music and setting the industry alight with her influence. she's got power, beauty and talent and she's not afraid to show it, the recently-turned twenty-one year old has turned the world on its head. case and point; her world tour that she's embarked on. y/n l/n switched things up and instead of starting in the u.s she's finishing here in good ol' new york!
l/n has one final show in florida and two more in boston and then we welcome her home to nyc.
why am i writing an article about y/n l/n and percy jackson i hear you ask? because the young celebrities were both spotted at a high end restaurant in florida, whether they were actually together or not remains to be discovered...
~~~
"would you put your phone down?" lia sighs, setting down an iced coffee in front of you. "you've been staring at that article all morning- its not even a credible source. its probably just some random high schooler blogging."
"i know," you huff and glare at her when she steals your phone from you. "but seriously? percy jackson? come on! i've never even met the guy."
"ooh he is yummy," lia says looking at your phone, at the photo of percy that was pasted at the top of the article. "i mean, ew yucky, he's like the ugliest person ever, i definitely don't want to bang him."
"bang him?" you laugh. "please for the love of god, never say that again."
lia just shrugs and picks up her own coffee taking a sip. "it's trueee."
sighing you lean back into your seat and look around the extravagant living room you're both currently resting in. its a few hours before you have to start getting ready for your final show here in florida and you can feel the anticipation starting to build under your skin.
"omigoshlookatthis," lia shrieks shoving your phone into your face.
"are you seriously stalking his instagram right now?" you raise your eyebrows at her.
"what? as i said he. is. hot."
your eyes flick quickly over his instagram not really seeing the appeal - sure he's good looking in a noticeable, obvious kinda way - but all he seems to post is pictures of him and how rich he is. ugh. be more creative - his insta is like every other boys. shirtless pics and vacations.
then your eyes settle on one thing in particular. "wait! you followed him?"
"shit," lia's eyes widen. "fuck this isn't going to help is it?"
"do something!" you shriek leaping off the couch. "do something! unfollow him! do something!"
"shit shit shit shit," lia cries as you both fly around the room in hysteria - you're both acting like teenage girls honestly - but at this point you don't care.
"fix it! fix it!"
"ok ok! done! i unfollowed him." lia's quiet for a moment and then she panics again. "ahhh fuck he's ONLINE!"
"noooooo! do you think he saw it?" you slap lia in the shoulder. "LIA!" hands shaking as you slump back down. "fuck. oh my god. this is going to be all over the internet."
"it'll be okay," lia comforts sitting down next to you. "it's not like you're famous or anything."
~~~
just now
yn.user followed you
"PERCY FUCKING JACKSON WHAT DID YOU DO?"
those aren't usually percy's favorite words. so when he hears grover yelling this from the hotel bathroom - why the bathroom? don't ask.
"what? what?" percy yells back.
"PERCY MOTHER FUCKING JACKSON WHAT DID YOU DO?" okayyy thats is definitely not good if luke was yelling at him too.
"WHAT?" percy yells back.
"PERCY-"
"I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU SAY WHAT DID YOU DO ONE MORE TIME-"
luke and grover both stalk into the living room with chris and clarisse hot on their heels all supporting bewildered looks on their faces.
"do you know y/n l/n?" grover asks narrowing his eyes.
"the singer right?" percy asks confused still.
"check your insta right now," clarisse jumps in.
percy still confused as ever pulls out his phone eyebrows nearly springing off his face when he sees the notification on insta.
"wait what?"
"y/n l/n followed you for like two minutes and then unfollowed you again. its all over twitter, instagram, everything - especially after that dumb article went around," luke explains.
"it doesn't matter," percy sighs chucking his phone back onto the couch beside him.
"uh yes it does!" grover practically yells. "do you know where we're all going tonight? to her concert! this is going to feed every horny teenage girls dream." grover shoots percy an exasperated look. "my god, the rumours and theories that are gonna come out after this is insane."
"who cares what people think about us? it isn't true. besides y/n is probably one of those girls."
"those girls?" clarisse asks her eye brows raised.
"y'know, pretentious little daddy's girls who clearly have everything handed to them on a silver platter? those girls."
"whatever you say dumbass," chris chuckles.
"we're going to that concert tonight, percy," grover says turning on him. "shit is going to hit the fan because of it, but we're going. because i paid a fortune for those tickets and clarisse and i really wanna see y/n."
"whatever you say buddy, whatever you say."

"i told you this would happen!" you huff to lia when she walks into your bedroom a few mornings later. "my entire comment section has been filled with people questioning about percy! i've never even met the guy!"
lia who had been assigned the role - self-assigned - the role to get you out of bed just rolls her eyes and drags the covers off you. "i know as you keep saying. but there is nothing we can do about it- short from announcing that it was a mistake. no one will even believe that anyway, so just let it go."
reluctantly you leave the comfort of your bed and slip into the clothes lia had picked out, trailing after her like a lost puppy. this usually happens between concerts, you return home and rest in your bed (with lia more often than not) not leaving it unless you need to, then lia comes parading in and announces that you're going out and since you have little fight left in you - you always agree.
ignoring the countless paparazzi as you make your way into the cafe you listen to lia as she blabs on about how she's never going to forgive you for not telling her you were adding a new song to your setlist without telling her.
you're so wrapped up in your own head you don't even see the person in front of you until you're slamming into them. and they've spilt coffee down your front.
"ah shit."
"fuck sorry."
you look up and its none other than the percy jackson. well hey! you've officially met him now!
"you good?" percy asks glasses and a cap cover his face but you still recognise him - what? lia's obsessed. and you were subjected to listen about her love for him - and the tone of his voice already pissed off and bored. it's like he was concerned until the second he recognised you. rude.
he doesn't even spare you a second glance before he's flipping you off.
"excuse me?" you say pulling his hand down. "did you just flip me off?"
percy's face pulls into a smirk and you just look up at him in disgust, brush past him and say "whatever asshole." at the same time he says. "later bitch."
fucker you're both thinking.

Hey! Just finished reading that angsty Percy x reader fic you uploaded, and… it hurt, a lot. So I DEMAND (beg and plead) for something more fluffy and loving, y’know? So how about a Percy x reader that’s about Valentine’s Day, so they’re being extra affectionate to each other? And since the reader is a daughter of Athena, if that’s fine with you, she already knows what gifts to give him. Maybe they even show their true love for each other at the end, if you know what I mean 😉 (I’m leaving all the details up to y o u, if that’s alright).
Is this good? Also, glad to see you’re feeling better!
"Okay, okay, just wait here."
Percy plops himself down on your bed with that crooked smile of his, "Yes Ma'am."
"No peeking!" You yell as you retreat out your room again. Gathering the gifts, you nudge the door open with your foot and look inside to see Percy holding his hands over his face and bouncing on your mattress.
You assemble things in the correct order, all the while checking that he still can't see before clearing your throat and saying, "Open."
His eyes light up, laugh filling your room as you present him with a giant squid plushie. It's almost as tall as him and as he takes it from you and squeezes it, it blocks his whole body. "It's about eight times as big in real life but I don't think they make them that size."
He laughs with joy and fumbles blindly before he can hug you around the squid. You enjoy the moment for a second before wiggling out of his hold, "Okay wait, there's more."
He tucks the plushie under his armpit and happily accepts the custom blue chocolates, a t-shirt with a fake seashell bra design and kiss on the cheek before you reveal a small vile of sand from your pocket.
"What's that?" His fingers are already reaching for it as you push it into his hands.
"Sand, from Athens." He meets your eyes. "We're supposed to hate each other, destined to because of that place, but we don't. This is just a reminder that you're stronger than you know you are," You trace his fingers as he admires you, "That your love for people is stronger than the will of a god."
He laughs, "Stronger than two, actually."
You shove him jokingly before allowing him to envelope you in his arms to kiss you. It's full and deep and he leaves a few more pecks before he'd ready to fully pull away.
"Well now I feel like I didn't do enough." He reaches into the back pocket of his jeans and produces a small book.
"What is it?" You question, gently taking it from his hands. He opens it for you and you gasp. Intricate drawings of your favorite flower decorate the first page, you flip it and see the same detail given to your favorite animal. Pages and pages of drawings, entrees labeling and describing your favorite things. Fun facts scrawled in the upper left corner of each.
Your eyes feel misty when you look up, "Who drew these?"
"Hazel, Jason helped with the research. Frank helped me spell."
You laugh, wiping at your eyes and wrapping your hands around his neck to kiss him. "Thank you."
He smiles, sea green eyes flashing, "Anything for you." And then he kisses you so hard you fumble backwards and drop the book.

(Part 1) Part 2 - You Used to Avoid Me Too (Percy Jackson x Fem!Reader, Leo Valdez x Fem!Reader)
Tumblr media
summary: in which y/n finds clarity in her time away from percy.
warnings: cursing, inappropriate humor, mention of the dead, toxic relationship, etc
genre: sadness turned into happiness ig???
word count: 912
----------------------------------------------
y/n walked out of percy's cabin, not exactly sure what she was feeling. she was sad, but she was angry, but was she finally in a state of clarity? who knew? she looked around a couple of times, hoping no one heard the ruckus that had just occurred. tears fell from her eyes. she saw a shadowy figure stare at her for a brief minute before it disappeared.
----------------------------------------------
"y/n! it's time for breakfast!" one of her cabinmates yelled.
"coming!" y/n yelled back, hoping that the cold water had washed away the redness in her eyes.
she began walking to the pavilion, but felt a strong urge to turn around when she saw him.
him with the dark hair and bright eyes walking happily to breakfast as if he hadn't destroyed whatever hope she had in him the night before.
y/n grabbed her breakfast and began walking down to her table, unfortunately having to pass percy on her way there.
"i heard so much noise from percy's cabin yesterday." one kid said.
"my boy got it on last night!" the other kid exclaimed, the table bursting out in laughter.
perfect timing y/n thought as she walked by, suddenly not feeling hungry anymore. she took the apple and walked out of the pavilion and to the lake.
----------------------------------------------
you're not annabeth. you're not her.
those six words replayed in y/n's mind as tears began to fall from her eyes. why would someone even say such a thing?
she felt someone come sit beside her. not wanting to show her tear stained face, she quickly wiped her cheeks and put on a smile.
"i like your smile." the person said.
y/n turned to see leo. a wave of shock passed through her body, but she didn't show it.
"thank you." she smiled.
"but it doesn't hide your tomato eyes." he laughed.
y/n chuckled too.
"what're you doing out here?" he asked.
"just sitting. looking at the view." she responded.
"with a side of crying?"
"maybe."
"i heard you guys last night."
oh great y/n thought.
"we did not 'get it on-'" she started.
"i know. you guys were fighting. pretty badly, i'll add. i heard the glass and the yelling. i saw-"
y/n thought back to yesterday night and remembered there was some shadow walking around.
"you saw me." she sighed. "fuck."
"ing? i thought that's what didn't happen." he laughed.
"haha, very funny." she rolled her eyes.
"i heard the things he said." he started. "i don't think he's right."
"but isn't he? i wasn't what he was looking for and i was stupid enough to think i was."
"you can't change yourself to be what he misses. your job isn't to be the past, it's to be the present and the future."
"i don't even know. i'm so upset. he didn't even love me in the first place and for some reason, i feel like that's so much worse than falling out of love with me. i would've known he cared at one point. but now, i know he never ever did." she chuckled. it made more sense aloud. "and, i hope this doesn't sound mean, but why do you care? you used to avoid me too."
"yeah i did, but that didn't mean i wanted to." he answered.
"explain?"
"percy's my bro, so first, i just stayed away because he wanted me to. i never knew the real reason until he started saying a bunch of weird shit."
"like what?"
"stupid shit. like, 'y/n's hair is different' or 'y/n got a question wrong in math.' it was like he was subtly comparing you to annabeth, while trying to not completely give himself away. i lost respect for him first when he said you were only good during the nighttime, if you know what i mean. i think i lost a more respect for him when he said, and i quote, 'do you guys ever pretend someone is someone else? but then they're not like that person and it gets you pissed off?'"
y/n knew her tears were falling down her face again.
"then i was like, fuck this, i need to ask if y/n's alright. if he's saying all this, you must've been like a victim."
"mhm." she nodded. "i don't even know what i did wrong."
y/n buried her face into her hands as breathing became difficult.
"wait, hey-don't cry!" he panicked. "i mean, percy's stupid anyways. well i know i'm stupid, but he's like really stupid-" he started, trying to wipe away y/n's tears with his hands. "you didn't hear this from me, but he's obsessed with someone who's six feet under, maybe seven, she was kinda tall. it's like necrophilic at this point-"
y/n chuckled at that.
"if anything, he can take the gravestone and shove it up his ass." he smiled.
y/n gave him a weak smile as her tears slowly reduced.
"i'll see you around camp." leo said, getting up and reaching a hand out for her.
she took it, getting up.
"see you around leo." she smiled.
as they both went their seperate ways, y/n just couldn't stop smiling. she looked around as she walked back to the main area of the camp. she saw percy, sword fighting with jason. as she walked by, she locked eyes with percy.
"y/n!" he yelled "can we talk? please?"
"i would love to but i think you've got a gravestone shoved up your ass!" she yelled back.
----------------------------------------------

Percy De Rolo x Jealous! Reader
Smut will be in PART 2 but, I like to build a foundation for jealous type situations so, this is a build up for the good stuff
Tumblr media
It seems like the whole world is against you at this point.
Every time you tried to do something. Someone or something stood in your way. You were trying to figure out a way into a certain someone's heart yet, were stopped by observation.
As you sat in a tavern next to Pike. You noticed a number of things. Your eyes never strayed too far away from the silver haired gunslinger across from you. You saw how Vex leaned into him. You saw how he seemed to smirk and reflect the same energy back.
It made you sick. You thought nothing was going on between the two of them but, you guess you were wrong after all.
You're heart ached. You looked down into your mug. You got lost in your thoughts for a little bit until Pike nudged you gently,
"You okay, Girlie?"
You just look over to her and smiled softly,
"I'm good. I'm just gonna head outside for some air."
Pike watched with a concerned look as you stood up and made your way out of the bar. She looked around and saw that no one noticed her sudden exit. She stood on her bench and turned to hop down.
Just as she did this, Grog grabbed her up,
"Did you see that, Pike?! I beat Vax once again!"
Pike pushed out of his grasp slightly,
"Yeah. I saw that. You did great, Buddies. I'll be back in a second."
With that, she quickly followed the path you took out of the bar.
Percy saw this and realized that you weren't there. You never alone really so, this concerned him slightly. Vex put an arm over his shoulder, snapping him out of his thoughts,
"Darling! Did you see that? Scanlan fell of his stool, long gone! Hahahaha."
Percy just nodded. He quickly got out of her grasp, much how Pike did the same with Grog. He cleared his throat quickly after.
"Excuse me, Vex'ahlia. I have to visit the men's room."
He then disappeared out the door. This went unnoticed to the rest of the drunk group.
~~~
You walked away from the tavern. Looking at the ground as you walked, kicking some pebbles as you went.
How could you be so blind? You should've knew that they were together before you fell for Percy. You were just blinded by love.
You tried so hard to make time for him and help him with his projects. You made sure to keep him safe in battle. You always were there to take care of him when he needed it. You guess you were always saw as a best friend. Nothing more.
You heard rushed footsteps from behind you. You didn't bother to turn around. You didn't care anymore.
Pike ran up to your side. She walked next to you as she caught her breath quickly. She then gave your cloak a slight tug, catching your attention. You looked over at her with saddened eyes. Pike just nodded. She understood your pain.
"It's okay to be jealous and hurt."
"Jealous? Me? Never."
Y/n responded with slightly sarcastic tone. Pike just shook her head,
"Even if he isn't there for you, I always will be. We'll get through this together, Girlie."
"I just wish he understood how much my heart hurts to see him with her. I was always there for him. Through everything. Before he even got into the group. I guess I never been more than a best friend. I'm stupid for thinking so."
"Y/n. You are not stupid. What's stupid is that Percy can't see that you love him but he sees Vex's advances. We did everything we could to get you with him. Maybe he'll realize soon. You never know."
Percy, who was approaching the two, heard the whole exchange. His eyes widened. You? Jealous? He would never guess that you loved him as much as you said to Pike. He did always see you as his best friend but, he saw so much more. He thought he had no chance because you never, well he didn't realize, acted like you wanted to be anything more. When Vex made it obvious, he thought he could get rid of these feelings he had for you.
Oh boy. He was so wrong.
He saw you give Pike a hug. You sat there on you knees as you hugged her. Pike patted your back.
"Everything will be okay. I promise."
You just nodded. Soon, the hug broke apart and Pike told you she had to head back and take care of Grog. You just nodded and said that you needed a couple more minutes before going back.
Pike nodded and ran back to the tavern. She didn't notice Percy as she ran by because he was hiding.
Once you were alone, Percy came out of hiding and made his way towards you. You just hung your head low and was lost in thought. You didn't notice Percy's entrance.
He gingerly set a hand on your shoulder. You looked up at him. You looked slightly surprised but, your sadness covered it up quickly.
"Why are you here? You should be with Vex'ahlia."
Percy shook his head,
"I came here because I was worried about you. You seem off tonight and I want to know what's wrong."
Rage pulsed through you. You looked at him and stepped back so his hand fell off your shoulder,
"You know what's wrong. Don't act like you weren't hiding and overhearing my conversation with Pike. Do I look stupid to you? Don't play me like a fucking fool."
Percy pursed his lips together. He was caught. He didn't want you to be anger at him but, here we are.
"I did hear it all. I just want to know why didn't make a move sooner. Why didn't you point blank ask me how I felt towards you?"
You clutched your fists and you growled slightly,
"You think it's so easy. I didn't want to lose you as even my friend if you rejected me. Plus, now I know you and Vex are something so, I can just forget about my feelings and go about my business. Do snog with her and leave me alone."
Percy took a step towards you. You anger was valid. He knew he fucked up but, he wants to make it up to you. He needed to reach out first. He slowly gripped your shoulders,
"It is easy. I'll do it so you can see."
You froze in confusion as he continued,
"Y/n. I have loved you for a very long time now. You have always been by my side and I appreciate it. You showed me so much of myself that I wouldn't have ever found without you. I thought YOU would reject me so, when Vex made it obvious of her feelings, I thought I could run away from them. Seeing you hurt like this, I can't run. I'm sorry for my stupidity. I love you. More than the world. You are my world."
You stood there with tears running down your cheeks. He slowly moved his hand and wiped your tears as they came. You leaned into his touch.
"I love you too, Percy."
Percy smiled and leaned in and kissed You. You both stayed in that position for some time. Kissing over and over again. The tears soon stopped to flow as the kissing stopped as well. Once the two of you separated, Percy held you close. He whispered sweet words to you.
You held him tightly, like he was gonna disappear in a seconds time. Percy looked down at you,
"Do you want to head back to the tavern now?"
You slowly nodded and you both walked hand in hand to the building. You were both going to tell the rest of the group of the new development. No matter what anyone said. No matter the repercussions of the relationship. You both didn't care. You loved each other and that's that.
Cowboy like me
Summary: Having worked as a freelancer in Emon you’ve run into Vox Machina and their shenanigans on a handful of occasions. Often you feel drawn into their chaos and to one of their particular steampunk aesthetic members. But maybe that’s because you have more in common than one might think.
A/N: So what I’m using some Taylor Swift song inspiration this year. It’s fun I got some good ones lined up for it too.
Tumblr media
Maybe it was fate that I landed in this one small-town tavern, it certainly couldn’t have been luck. I had just been in town running “errands”, small gigs that didn’t take me too far off my desired path. This one was just a simple retrieval of a missing wedding ring, perhaps the man should have held on to it a bit tighter the last time he was here, but that wasn’t for me to say.
“Yeah, I found that one last week, but I put it with the other things that have gotten left here over the years. You’ll have to give me a minute to find it.”
“Take your time,” I said, tossing the barkeep a few spare coins for the effort.
I sat down, taking hold of my glass and staring at the wall behind the bar.
“(y/n)?”
I was surprised to even hear my name in a place like this, but his face was easily recognizable once I turned around. “Percy?”
He shook his head almost in disbelief, “I really didn’t think we’d ever run into you again. How long has it been?”
“Let’s see, the last time was the mimic case, so a while, I guess. So the whole crew is here then?”
“Oh yes, think I could leave them unsupervised?” He nodded his head in the direction of where a few members of his found family set, most of them drunker than they ought to be. “We were just passing through looking for work. You know how it is.”
“Tell me about it.” I said, turning back to stare at the wall.
“How are you handling these days?” He said, taking the seat next to me.
“I take the odd job for the money, I make ends meet, but I’m looking for bigger prey presently.”
“Bigger prey?”
“Story for another day.”
“And what might you do once you track down this bigger prey?”
“You don’t have to worry about me, Percival, I got some tricks up my sleeve.”
“You can call me Percy, you know?”
“I know,” I smiled while drinking from my glass.
“Well, the offer always still stands to join Vox Machina if you ever want the company.”
I tried not to smile at the offer. “Is that offer from the whole group, or just you?” He tried to hide the smile and light blush from my suggestion. “Can’t, a group like yours might just slow me down. Honestly, I’m shocked you're still with them.”
“Why do you say that?” I turned looking at him, he had a deep crease in his brow, questioning me. Almost like he was trying to figure out a puzzle.
“You may play the gentleman Percival, but I can read it in your eyes, you're just another cowboy. And like any true cowboy, you’re really after one thing.”
“And what is that?”
“Revenge.”
“What makes you think I want revenge?”
“Call it a woman's intuition.” Just as I took a long sip finishing my drink, the barkeep came back with the ring in hand.
“Here you go, miss.”
“Thank you, kind sir.” I smiled, pocketing the ring and standing up to leave.
“You’re going to leave already? At least let me buy you a drink,” Percy tried.
“I got what I came for, it’s time I head out.”
“You know, (y/n), you’re not as mysterious and cool as you think you are.” I raised my eyebrow, questioning where he was going with this.
He stood up, standing closer this time. “You're a woman on a mission.”
“Pray tell, dear Percival, what is that mission?”
He smiled, leaning in closer. “It's obvious, dear (y/n). You’re a cowboy, just like me.”
I tried to play it off with a shake of my head as I started walking toward the door.
“Hey (y/n)!” Percy shouted from across the room. “Good luck with your bigger prey” He smirked before he turned back to his friends.
As I left the bar, I could feel the goosebumps on my arms, shaking my head. Oh, y/n you are playing a dangerous game getting distracted like this. You’ve been there before, just run before it's too late. It still blows my mind how he could just read and call me out like that, but I guess it takes one to know one. But by now I should know to stay away from cowboys.
