Solstice Pegasi Academia

-Originally called White Pegasi Academia, but changes to show they were different in nature and so that there would be no more parodies of a certain song-

A four year mainly-female academy that was founded by the Nine Champions and run by the former Crown Princess of the Domus Mactubi Woods in order to raise the next generations of young women with high potential into tomorrow's magical warriors, leaders, and visionaries.

Students recieve two magestones - one that will decorate their personal weapon and one for their dorm-issued casting vessel.

ATLA AU: Waterbender Zuko

After eating an entire tray of chocolate-chip cookies and brownies and then subsequently falling into a sugar crash induced nap, I woke up with an avatar the last airbender fanfiction idea, its mainly based around zuko cause he's my fav.

its nothing much, just a sugar-coma induced spur of imagination, based around the notion of, "hey what if zuko, was a waterbender and related to Hama" yeah its weird.

so the main premise goes, fairly the same, hama learns blood bending, hama tries to escape, but fails, her bending is brought to the attention of sozin, who wants to have her blood bending within the royal bloodline, so he makes azulon take hama as a second bride to bare a child with the same ability, Kallik is born about one year before ozai and about a decade or so after iroh, meaning iroh and ozai are kallik's half-brothers since they share the same father obviously lol.

Kallik is a water bender and does inherit Hama's blood bending, but heals with it instead of harming, to learn more about healing/medicine, Kallik travels all across the fire nation to study under other healers, in this he meets Ursa, they become friends then lovers and then get married, and unlike ozai's relationship with ursa in canon, Kallik and ursa are very much in love and very caring to each other.

but it doesn't last, a year after zuko is born Kallik is sent to oversee a project overseas in the colonies, and after ozai discovers ursa is related to the late avatar roku, and wanting ursa so she can bare ozai a strong heir he causes an accident on kallik's ship making it so kallik would be lost at sea, then made ursa marry him, yes ozai is as much a bastard as he is in canon.

azula is born a year later, so zuko and azula are half siblings, after kalliks supposed death at sea, hama, who had been kept within the palace escaped, this brings us to near present, and things pretty much progress the same, aside from zuko being a water bender instead of a firebender. and of course ursa had to leave to protect zuko, but instead of what happened in the comics, ursa, after leaving, instead began searching the whole world, mainly the islands around the fire nation and the earth kingdom, for her husband kallik as she believes he's alive somewhere in the world. and he is. his ship was close to the southern water tribe when it was sabotaged, and managed to use his water bending to survive the freezing water, and he managed to wash ashore on the southern water tribe as for the rest, it goes fairly beat for beat, zuko gets scared and banished by ozai in an angi kai and is given the task to find the avatar, sokka and kataras mother still dies, and all that jazz. 

  the rest would follow the main canon story a bit, with a few minor differences, but these are mostly preference, zuko doesn't really follow through with the quest to hunt the avatar and instead tries to find his mother instead cause in this fic ursa told zuko she was being banished instead of just up and disappearing. he does still barge into the southern water tribe, there he meets his long thought to be dead father kallik, at which point kallik and zuko have a tearful reunion, kallik discovers ozai gave zuko the massive scar on his eye, leading to a slightly comedic moment where zuko, sokka, katara, kanna, and iroh have to try and reason with a really mad kallik and dissuade him from a, "murder my evil younger half brother" rampage. so yeah zuko joins the gang early, iroh and kallik the bending brother duo decide to try and dethrone ozai, iroh stays sailing to keep normalcy and Kallik starts and underground revolution in the colonies and fire nation.

and again, everything happens the same except water bender zuko is also joining. also ursa is still alive, and she owns a healing clinic in the lower ring of ba sing se. and on a side note, zuko and katara practice water bending together and sword fighting with sokka, and also acts like a big brother to aang.

also yue will totally be alive in this, she deserved to live. and that brings me to the next notion, on ships prefreably I’ll leave it ambiguous and just hint at every ship until I decide, but zuko/yue is really up there on my shipping list so you all know.

Monarchy of the Seven Kingdoms

At long last, it’s finally here. I’m finally naming the Queens and Princesses of the other Seven Kingdoms.

First up is the kingdom of Bayangor, ruled by Queen Thalia. Her daughters are Tara (on the left) and Penelope (on the right). Tara is three years older than Penelope and is the heir to her mother’s throne. Thalia’s husband died in a war decades ago, and since then she’s been at the head of a huge revitalization/enlightenment movement in Bayangor.

Next is Galcrest, led by Queen Arnaq. The woman on her left is actually her niece, and is named Kallik. She’s the cousin to Uki, Arnaq’s daughter. Galcrest used to be very conservative and isolated, but Arnaq has recently opened up trade with the other Seven Kingdoms

The Queen of Koto is named Bianca, and her daughters are Anidori (on the left in the yellow dress) and Ida (on the right in the blue dress). Anidori is Bianca’s stepsister and Ida’s half sister. Bianca had Anidori in a previous marriage to the last king before he died and she married Ida’s father. Despite being older, Anidori has relinquished her claim to the throne and made Ida next in line.

Next is the royal family of Ingvarr. The Queen is Arya. Arya actually used to be a young prince, until she formed an alliance with Koto for her Kingdom and found a spell that turned her into a woman. Her daughters are Azar and Minerva. The two sisters are actually destined to rule together; with Azar handling the army and Minerva handling domestic matters once their mother retires as Queen.

Then, the Queen of Pittsford is Ursula. Ursula is actually the sister of the Griffin of Pittsford. Their father was king, and then she became Queen once she married. Her daughters are Helga and Johanna. They’re twins, and were born a few years after their brother so neither of them will rule Pittsford.

Finally, the royal family of Neserdnia. Neserdnia is soley ruled by Queen Malia. She’s a single mother and has raised her daughters Kaloni (on the right) and Vaiana (on the left). Vaiana is younger than Kaloni by 5 years.

Do you have any headcanons for some YuTen kids? What Azula and Zuko might be like as Aunt and Uncle? Iroh or Arnook as a grandpas?

Hey Anon! Thanks for the ask. I hadn’t considered YuTen kids (are they also considered steambabies? Or does that only apply to kids of benders? I don’t know lol) so I had to think on it, so here goes!

I like to think that they might have some trouble conceiving, so each time Yue falls pregnant it’s basically considered a miracle and a blessing from the spirits. Maybe the fact that she’s been touched by the moon spirit contributes to this? Who knows. Anyway.

First YuTen baby is Crown Princess Akira (meaning vermillion and white jasmine) (yes, I know I made her a JunTen baby in my modern AU fics, leaf me alone). She was born at the peak of summer. She’s the only bender of their brood (a firebender). After years of trying to conceive, Lu Ten and Yue are ecstatic when she’s born. She takes her duty very seriously (like her mom), excels in her studies, and is considered a prodigy firebender by her teachers. She loves learning, and therefore spends a lot of time traveling with her aunts and uncles to visit the SWT, Earth Kingdom, the Air Temples, and the NWT to learn their cultures, laws, and history.

Born three years after his sister is Prince Kallik (lightning). He’s a non-bender. He’s a quick learner, and he easily masters weapons (including dao swords, taught by his uncle Zuko, and undergoes honorary Kyoshi Warrior training from his aunt Suki). He’s not as interested in his studies, and would rather be practicing his weapons or doing something else, like playing Pai Sho with Iroh or hide and explode with Uncle Aang (when he’s around). He often causes mischief, but his charming personality makes it hard to stay mad at him for long. He’s restless, and when he’s older he often accompanies Aang traveling the world.

Born four years after her brother, we have Princess Uki (survivor). Yue’s pregnancy with her was difficult, and they nearly lost her during the birth. As such, Lu Ten and Yue are a little more protective over her than her siblings. Uki is a gentle soul. She loves animals, and she’s often found in the palace stables with the mongoose lizards, ostrich horses (imported), and the messenger hawks. Uki also likes to read scrolls by the turtleduck pond (her favorite is Love Amongst the Dragons). She learns chi blocking from Auntie Ty Lee and knife throwing from Aunt Mai, although she wouldn’t hurt a fly. She has a mind for politics and diplomacy, so she studies a lot under Uncle Sokka and Uncle Aang, in the hopes of becoming an ambassador one day.

Despite being the oldest members of the GAang, they are some of the last to have children. So Zuko and Katara have already been through it, and are a huge help to new parents YuTen. Zuko loves his nieces and nephew just as much as he loves his own kids, so he tries to spend as much time as he can with them. It’s a common sight to see a gaggle of children (both his own and Lu Ten’s) hanging onto his robes as he goes about his business. He helps Lu Ten learn to braid Akira’s hair to surprise Yue. He loves teaching Kallik the ways of the sword (and insists Uncle Sokka doesn’t know what he’s doing). He and Uki can often be seen re-enacting Love Amongst the Dragons (he dusts off his old Blue Spirit costume to do it). He teaches all of the to ride dragons on Druk.

Azula is a great aunt, even if she sometimes tells the kids that the only way to win is by crushing their enemies. She enjoys helping Akira with her forms and tells her that she reminds Azula of herself at that age. She and Kallik often get into mischief together (“That minister was up to no good, LuLu, we had to set the ends of his robe on fire!”). Azula helps Uki learn battle strategies (“We’re in peace times, La La!” “So? It doesn’t hurt to know just in case!”). She helps the kids master their deportment and chivalry lessons, and she’s the one who teaches Akira to master lightning bending.

Iroh, of course, adores his grandchildren. He spoils them all before they’re even born, filling their nurseries with gifts. He teaches them all Pai Sho and how to brew the perfect pot of tea. They often come to visit him when he retires to Ba Sing Se and abdicates the throne (I don’t care, Iroh deserves to have his own tea shop). He passes away before they reach full initiation, but he begins their training to become members of the White Lotus.

Arnook loves when the children come to visit. He’s often known to mutter under his breath, “Hahn? What was I thinking?” He takes Uki under his wing, allowing her an honorary seat on his council so she can see how diplomacy and ambassadorship works firsthand. He takes Kallik ice dodging (I’m not sure if that’s a SWT exclusive, but I like the thought of both tribes doing it). He likes having Akira spar against his best waterbender and boasts like the proud grandpa he is when she wins.

family tree

pipaluk’s father, the king, named all of her brothers

her brothers are aput (32), siqiniq (27), tonraq (25), and kallik (17)

the king’s name is tulok which means warrior god of the stars

tulok takes his name seriously and believes himself to be a god. he is incredibly power hungry and will do anything to rule as much land as he can

the queen is the mother of all the boys and it is a very poorly kept secret that pipaluk is not her daughter

the queen’s name is elisapie. she comes from a noble family and does little more than make the king look good.

elisapie speaks to pipaluk the bare minimum but makes sure that she looks like a loving mother to the public.

pipa’s mother was named uki which means survivor.

uki was born to a young mother who already had two children. she fell pregnant with uki just as the war started and lost her two children before uki was born, leaving her the only surviving child.

aput means snow. the eldest son was born during a harsh blizzard. he had a brief military career and is the crown prince, training one day to be king.

aput is the meanest of all of pipaluk’s siblings. he will let others fight for him and do his work. he is very much his father’s son. he is charismatic and underhanded, has no love for his siblings and only sees them as a threat to his power. although he is the physically weakest, he is always surrounded by guards that protect him and his words can hurt as much as a sword.

kallik means lightning. he was named for the manner of his birth as it was quick and said to have happened in only a flash of lightning. 

kallik is quick on his feet and a skilled fighter. as the only sibling younger than pipaluk he is closest to her as he saw first hand what she experienced growing up. due to being quick on his feet he is skilled at defense and easily able to wear his opponents out. 

kallik is the kindest of the brothers, a strategist, knows the most languages of his entire family. is the pickiest eater of the family (with the biggest sweet tooth).

siqiniq means the sun. he was born with bright eyes and is the most handsome of the brothers. he looks like his mother and despite some people saying he looks feminine, most just consider him beautiful, either way it has never bothered him.

siqiniq is the best at short range fighting. he’s ruthless on the battle field and shows no mercy in battle. however, he isn’t a fan of hunting despite his tracking skills and doesn’t like killing animals. he can be very aloof and not a lot of people truly know him, least of all his family.

siqiniq is a bit of a player. he’s pansexual and will sleep with anyone willing. loves to be the center of attention in every situation. would love to be an actor instead of a soldier in the war. gives zero fucks about the crown, and is scared of his father and his brother so he follows their rule without question.

tonraq means tiny man. he was born premature and has remained on the smaller side. he knows how to kill his opponent the fastest and with the least amount of pain. he dislikes hurting people and animals but does what he has to do.

if given a choice tonraq would be a healer or would have even liked to train with a shaman. his preferred weapon is a bow and arrow, and he is the best tracker and hunter of the family. he’s also a skilled healer but isn’t often able to utilize those skills as the son of a king he is expected to rise ranks on the battle field.

No I did not sell my soul. I was on a spree all week long and finished the last one on Saturday, but I write an episode at a time before I post any new chapters lol. It was a lot more writing for the fic than usual, but I was inspired. As far as I know, I still have my soul. I laughed at a joke earlier. I'm fine. ;-)

Only certain people in the Fire Nation were ready to be rid of Iroh and Lu Ten. Unfortunately, it's the people who have the power to make those decisions, so.... And things will be a little morose here and there as they get going. We'll see. Maybe Sokka and Kallik are just gonna push down their emotions until they each have a nervous breakdown. I mean, I hope I'm not that cruel, but I am a sucker for the angst. ;-)

Zutara Week Day 5: Respite

These were actually meant to be part of a larger piece for the day 1 theme "Home", but... art was refusing to art (I have so many sketches and half finished pieces I started for ZK Week, but things were just not working). So instead, we'll use there peaceful family moments in the South Pole for "respite"!

Kya pops up the most in my art, but Kallik makes an appearance here! He's Zuko and Katara's second child, and only son.

The Fire Nation Royal Family: Fire Lord Zuko, Master Katara of the Southern Water Tribe, Queen Consort of the Fire Nation, Crown Princess Kya (age 7), Prince Kallik (age 3), and Princess Kira (age 2).

I spent a very long time painting a background for this, and then in the end it looked better with a 2 minute edited AtLA screencap in the background instead. One day I shall master backgrounds, but alas not today.

1. Fic you spent the most time on: Omertà hands down. Wow that fic... I mean, just posting it took 10 months. And I started writing it way before I posted the first chapter so, I think I spent about a year and some change on it. 

2. Fic you spent the least time on: So This is Christmas. I was a pinch hitter for an Irondad Secret Santa. I got this one written in a few hours due to the deadline. 

3. Longest Fic: Again, Omertà. The final word count on this bad boy is 154,668. 30 chapters. It was supposed to be 10 chapters and about 50,000 words. That did NOT happen. 

4. Shortest Fic:  I Like Oatmeal. The word count is 652 and it is easily the shortest thing I’ve ever written so far. This was just a fun little crack fic that broke me into the Merlin fandom. 

5. Most hits: In all honesty, this is a very difficult one to answer because as far as I can tell, FFN does not record hits very well. My two highest fics for Ao3 are  Omertà with 8008 to date, and You are in Control, I Disappear with 5450 to date (but it’s porn, so surprise, surprise.) On FFN, the fic with the highest hits (if I did my month-by-month math right) is The Trouble with Gossip (using the Ao3 link) with 6102 hits to date .

6. Most kudos:  Omertà again. Really, y’all should read it. It’s pretty good. ;-)

7. Most comment threads/ reviews: Want to guess? You got it! It’s Omertà! You all are so smart. :-)

8. Fave Fic you wrote: What? These are my babies. These are my blood, sweat, and tears. You want me to pick a favorite? You’re crazy.

No, seriously, that’s a really hard question. I love them all and for very different reasons. So I’ll pick one that I haven’t mentioned yet. I’ll say Bear the Burden of Responsibility, which was the fic that broke me into the MCU/Spider-Man fandom (I’d been reading for forever, but this was the first one I wrote). It also was my intro to Irondad and Spiderson, which has been SO fun to write, and the community has been fantastic to be part of, in my opinion. 

9. Fic you want to rewrite/expand on: Hmm. Well, I’m already expanding on it, just slowly. I have a series called Take My Heart With You which is kind of an alternate reality/alternate universe series for Merlin. It mainly focuses on the gap between seasons 3 and 4, and events in season 4, but there is a relationship between Merlin and Percival that I’m playing around with. I also am touching on the friendship Merlin has with Gwen, so there may be elements from previous seasons added soon. I actually really enjoy that one, but I’ve lacked inspiration for it, so I haven’t been writing much in this universe lately.

“Tarkik.”

“No.”

“Koko.”

“Hmm, maybe.”

“Nanouk?”

Kyra laughed, bouncing the baby boy on her knee. “You have great love for that name,” she said, grinning. Bato shrugged, wiggling his fingers at the boy and making him giggle.

When he brought the child to Kyra, she broke down in tears before immediately thanking the Great Spirits. She fell in love with his soft hair and golden eyes, and she held him like she could never let him go. Bato understood. He was like that with the boy the whole journey back.

“It’s a good, strong, water tribe name,” Bato defended, grinning. “What about Toklo? For your father?”

“My brother was named for my father already,” Kyra replied. “Maybe Tonraq?”

Bato made a face. “No,” he replied, shaking his head.

“Why not?”

“When I went Ice Dodging, the boy manning the main sail was named Tonraq. He’s the reason I have a scar on my boat,” Bato said, darkly. Kyra laughed.

“Well, there’s always Soomool,” she offered. Bato shrugged. They had been going over names for two days now. Even Kya and Hakoda offered input, with baby Sokka in tow. The new boy was fascinated with the chief’s son. Bato hoped they would become good friends. Kyra handed the boy to him and he lifted him up so their noses could touch. The boy went a little cross-eyed, making Bato laugh.

“You know what his eyes remind me of?” he asked Kyra.

“The sun?” she asked, grinning.

Bato shook his head. “No. Well, yes, I suppose. But they look like the sky during a storm, when lightning strikes.”

“You mean when the sky turns to gold for a moment?” Kyra asked, thoughtfully. Bato nodded. Kyra hummed in thought.

“What about Kallik?”

*** OKAY ALL CLEAR***

Story Idea - Spider-Man Villain/Anti-Hero AU:

Plot: What if Peter stopped the convenience store thief instead of letting him run away? Uncle Ben is still alive, and that major guilt he felt that acted as a catalyst for him to become Spider-Man and look out for the little guy isn’t there anymore. Instead Spidey is a wrestler, then a “hero” who asks for donations to his paypal, and then a mercenary. All his bad guys are now neutral contacts, and he frequently teams up with DP, Moon Knight, and Black Cat (among others), working for cold, hard cash. He drives Iron Man crazy, he baffles Captain America, and Black Widow has a soft spot for him (because she gets that double life). 

It’ll be fun when I get to writing it. I’ve got some semblance of an outline. ;-)
