You caused me to experience
many troubles and misfortunes,
but you will revive me again.
You will bring me up again,
even from the depths of the earth

PSALMS S.O.A.P. ~ PSALM 71
Thursday, 10/26/23
SCRIPTURE:
In Your justice, rescue and deliver me;
listen closely to me and save me.
~ Psalm 71:2
OBSERVATION:
Rescue and deliverance in and through His grace-filled justice - Jesus...
...not through the justice my sinful, selfish self deserves...
He listens closely - to what I don't say as much as to what I do - and am willing - to admit as to what I don't... even to myself...
...and yet He still saved - saves - me... again, because Jesus...
APPLICATION:
Hope continually and praise Him more and more. (Verse 14)
Tell about His righteousness and His salvation all day long... (Verse 15)
Shout for joy when I sing praise to Him because He has redeemed me. (Verse 23)
PRAYER: (Adding verses 19 & 23...)
Grace-giving Heavenly Father;
In Your justice, rescue and deliver me;
listen closely to me and save me.
Your righteousness reaches the heights, God,
You who have done great things;
Who is like you?
My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to You because you have redeemed me
through Your love and Your Son Jesus... In His Name, and for Your glory and praise...
Yours, in Him...

To lament is to offer a public and passionate expression of grief.
Station 3 of the Stations of the Cross, along the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem
In you, O Lord, I take refuge; let me never be put to shame.In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline your ear to me and save me.Be to me a rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.
Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of…

Why do I fear?
Joshua 1:9
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
It’s been a long road to writing my memoirs. And my memoirs still in progress behind the curtain of fear.
So much in life points to writing my story. When I tell my stories, people say, “Do you have a book?”
My answer, “No, I just…

Praising has its Benefits
Have you been praised today? Maybe someone praised your new hairdo or praised your amazing talents and skills. Maybe YOU praised someone for their sense of humor, like I often do to someone I know! It gives us a sense of “good” pride knowing that someone “noticed” us and our abilities. Suddenly, we might even stand a little taller and our smile is bigger!
And, even more so, think about how God…
