Hii!! Not a request but I BEG YOU please where are the other dottore name segments coming from I know nothing about science (ran away from it as soon as I could, instant regret 😭) so I tried to search it up but I don’t get it! Is it just taking random science things and giving them to the segments? I promise it’s not in bad faith I just read one of your fics which, btw, are AMAZING I love your writing SO MUCH but I’m just so crazy curious on where those like segment names came from!! Thank you so much for taking some time out of your day to answer this and have an extremely nice and good day!
Okay so, the names of the segments came from the greek alphabet. No worries anon, there isn't much science stuff about the names^^
Tumblr media
There's a lot of headcanons too where others would either call the segments by numbers or by the Greek alphabet they were assigned by.
I chose to use the Greek alphabet since it's more easier to memorize who certain segments are than just calling them by numbers.
That's somewhat basically it^^

I’m gonna need another Isaiah Kassidy and Daniel Garcia segment on BTE but instead of match predictions, they just sit there and read Tumblr fanfiction.

I'm running a Pathfinder adventure path called Hell's Rebels. There is a particular song that is a big deal for them to aquire the sheet music for and there's a big moment when they get to perform it. I didn't expect the book to give huge details, but there were no provided lyrics (not even fragments even though an npc mutters them cause they've gone insane) or even a handout with a few notes of sheet music. This seemed to me like too big a void for such an important narrative moment. I took to forums to try to find something I could use to help this feel more weighty. I found a set of lyrics that I didn't love but that seemed like a good start as they contained some good references to the campaign setting and related deities. I found a piece of epic instrumental music on YouTube and heavily modified the lyrics to work with it. I then recorded and edited a full song version to play for my players when they reached the epic conclusion of this story arc and enlisted my Dad to make a basic set of sheet music for the melody to use as a handout. It made what would have been a quickly described narrative moment and a casual dice roll feel like the huge victory checkpoint it was meant to be. Here is my set of lyrics:
Never say you have reached the end,
Though grey skies a dark future portends.
Soon the silver hour arrives.
Our marching steps thunder "We Survive."
From forest and peaks white with snow
We will march, whip in hand, for Kintargo!
Everywhere they spill our blood,
Watch it soak into the earth,
They will draw our courage out and see our spirit blooming forth.
Soon the morning sun will rise
Setting our new day aglow.
Quickly evil yesterdays will vanish soundly with our foe.
But if time is long till dawn,
Long before the sun appears,
Then let this song carry forth, like a signal through the years.
This song was written with our blood,
Chronicled in lines of red,
Its not just a cause or a raven overhead.
It is the people on the silver riverbanks
Singing this song of ours in files and in ranks.
Never day you've reached the end,
Though grey skies a dark future portends.
Soon the silver hour arrives.
Our marching steps thunder "We Survive!"
Soon the silver hour arrives.
Our marching steps thunder "We survive."
It was set to John Dreamer True Strength.
This ended up being a pivotal moment when it could have just been glossed over and it was such a fun session.

Breaking Up Projects
For this project, I am dividing it up based on days. On monday, I gathered the accounts I wanted, and then on the other days I completed/am completing the data analysis for each one. My main goal is for the assignment to be written and formatted on friday. I have work on friday and the weekends, but usually have enough time on friday mornings to complete my work. Breaking up this project in that way that allows small bits daily is the best way for me to work.  I find that I usually am able to think more in depth and concisely while I am working in small, segmented parts.

Change of Format - February 2023
Hello beautiful creatures, I've missed you so much!
I've been so busy with settling into my new job that I haven't really had the extra mental space to make any content. I hope to change that soon. I believe a change of format will help me get back to making content once again.
Let me explain:
I've really been enjoying playing strategy games lately, like a ton. I've been playing StarCraft II again lately and I've been having an absolute blast! So I think I'm going to start streaming StarCraft II as well as other strategy games (Dark Reign... Total Annihilation... etc...) primarily, and then do other random games less often.
I think we'll all enjoy this format more.
Along with this, I'm going to change the way I present my content. Because I don't have the time and availability to go live for long periods of time (full-time) that I would like to have, I need to make some compromises.
How will things change? Good question... I think I'm going to focus more on making shorter content that would be easier to upload to YouTube, things that can be broken down into multiple segments and uploaded as separate episodes. And honestly, the easiest way for me to do that, is to break the livestream into these separate segments.
Will it be weird? Maybe. Will it work? I don't know. Am I going to try it and see if I can make it into a successful format (or stepping stone) to get me closer to true full-time content-creating? Absolutely!
I'll see you there.
