Concepts for fly anatomy in my anthroing style! These aren't 100% yet, and i never got around to defining the differences in their wings- but overall I'm still happy with the study. I'm also open to critique- im always re-assessing my insect anatomy, so input is always welcome.

having some fun with character design lately, was thinking about trying to design a moth monster but when searching for insp pics what i thought was a moth fursuit showed up, it turned out to actually be a power rangers villain. Thought that was so funny i wanted to make a moth guy based more off of retro mech anime styles combined with the weird half human designs similar to Thunder Cats.

All that to say this is a design thats pushing me out of my comfort zone a lot but im trying to get a lot of practice with him. This is General Tiberius (last name pending). He's a villain general in some kind of galactic mech war. He started out as a fighter pilot but showed such intense loyalty and passion that he rose the ranks quickly. His personality is often jovial and bubbly, known for being charismatic and even flirtatious. He is usually underestimated due to his constant jokes and optimism in the face of any problem but he is always quick to find solutions and keep information close to the chest.

Also surprisingly well read on mechanics and reads a lot of books on environments architecture and cultures for the sake of strategy. He does lack knowledge in wilderness survival and languages (the commonly shared language already being his second and he hated learning it). Despite his moments of recklessness and his devotion to the cause of his military making his morals questionable it seems his subordinates adore him and many of his personal enemies respect him as well. Not enough to keep him from being imprisoned and brutally interrogated but he appreciates the thought.
