Tokyo jungle Spoilers!!!

BEHOLD. I have worked on some Tokyo jungle redesigns for a lil project of mine!

Order: Original design and then redesign

ERC-003

Not the biggest fan, might change it. This guy is a lot more… passive… than the others so I went for a prey-ish look.

ERC-X

I wanted to make it a bit more intimidating, considering the are “Disaster response probes”, I wanted them to at least *look*sturdy.

ERC-2000

These guys are used mostly as a line of Defense, so I went for a smaller, yet bulky robots design!

ERC-X II

This is essentially just a buffed ERC-X (I’m so sorry for the first image, I couldn’t find a decent character model)

Just Finished: WRC 4

What the hell!? What trickery was this? How was this even possible to run on a PS2?

I'm absolutely stunned to see such mastery on a Rally game running in this system! The Dualshock 2 was clearly not the best option to play this games as it was taken to it's limits, and the different vibration inputs tell us that. Amazing physics on the terrain as we are almost able to feel all the small things, and not just the different types of tracks on the courses. The behavior and response of the car it reaches simulation level and there's not a single stage that I finished where my heart was completely pumped. Some of them I even sweat, and was not because of the heat.

This game is just perfection!

Just this week in games:

- EA laid off 700 workers

- Sony laid of 900 workers

- Rockstar announces in-person work mandates for all employees (a 'soft layoff' that will force some staff to quit, which likely means that actual layoffs are forthcoming)

In 2023 6,000 games workers were laid off. Now in 2024 over 10,000 workers have been laid off, and there's still 10 months to go.

Not to be hyperbolic, but I think this is perhaps the worst year for video games ever if we're measuring by number of layoffs.
