Y-Yelling at each other

-in a relationship with her, expect a lot of arguments and yelling.

-due to her trauma, she is more likely to get angry or stressed and lash out so be careful on what you say to her.

-she doesn’t mean it she just gets so stressed and can’t handle the situation.

-when she does you don’t yell back, most of the time, to prevent a large argument. when you do fight back then it gets bad, like real bad.

-you two will be yelling for a very long time unless one of you two decide to stop and apologize, or say something so insulting the other person stops.

-which is usually where you come in, she tends to do that to you when you two fight. When she realizes she hurt you bad, to the point where you’re actually really upset, she won’t forgive herself and she’ll be apologizing to you to the best of her abilities.

K-Kissing

-This definitely took her a little while, she show any sort of physical affection.

-she wasn’t very comfortable with it at first and didn’t even know how to do it, but she wanted to try it for you

-you let her take as much time as she needed though, and she liked the first time you tow kissed

-it wasn’t on the lips of course since she wasn’t ready for that, but it was on the forehead and he lived it.

-so she started to kiss you on the forehead more often. She likes kissing your face more than your lips

L-Lounging around on a Lazy Day

-doesn’t she do this all the time with peridot when there’s not some large gem problem?

-But with you it’s more fun. Unlike peridot, lapis can just snuggle you and Lena on you without your consent (hopefully) which brings her a lot of comfort

-You two usually tend to watch Camp Pining Hearts together since she really likes it, though you try to get her into some other shows and movies

-She ll say that she doesn’t think their that great, though she won’t admit that their good movies and shows since she’s stubborn

-Sometimes you two will read together or just hold and snuggle each other in her hammock or at your house

▪︎ You were obviously hiding it from the diamonds that you even somewhat liked Pink's colony.

▪︎ But being as close as you were with Blue, you had accidently slipped it while talking to her.

▪︎ She wasn't suprised but neither was she expecting it.

▪︎ You didn't want to go through with the colony.

▪︎ But it wasn't like anybody would listen so you kept it secret.

▪︎ You prayed the other Diamonds would listen to Pink's whining about not wanting to go through with the colony.

▪︎ While Pink was begging to you, Yellow and Blue, Blue kept glancing at you knowing you didn't want to go through with the colony either.

▪︎ But, you had to teach Pink to go through with what she's started and theres nothing else to that.

▪︎ But after Pink's shattering, Blue was devastated and you had to be there to comfort her.

▪︎ But you were, relieved? That earth was saved, even if Pink had gotten shattered in the process. You knew she wanted earth to be saved, her wish would be completed by Rose Quartz.

▪︎ Blue also knew that you weren't as devastated as her. And she knew you were relieved.

▪︎ When the diamonds wanted to blast every gem off earth, you didn't want to participate in the blasting.

▪︎ After it was revealed that Rose Quartz was Pink diamond and Rose Quartz had a 'son', you were extra relieved knowing Earth was alright and Pink Diamond was too, but just in another form.

▪︎ After Pink's son wanted to stay back on earth, needless to say you were honestly proud of him. ▪︎ having studied earth's life and then trying to teach it to blue

▪︎ You knew what son, mother, father and the earthly terms meant so you had no trouble adjusting to him.

▪︎ You knew Steven wasn't Pink Diamond, but Steven had his mother's spirit.

▪︎ And when you, Yellow, Blue and White took in Spinel in "replace" for Steven, you and Blue acted as if you were parents to her, together ofcourse.

▪︎ Not having earthly realitionship statuses, you liked Blue and Blue liked you. And that way it was, and because of Steven and the earth, White and Yellow didn't judge you and Blue for it.

Like when she arrived at the ship started having an argument with him in front of the trio after that whole fiasco because he brought up that she lost in their last battle back then

Spinel x Past Rival!Reader | Headcannons & Drabble

I do apologise, I didn't quite understand your request at the start, and I don't know how to write arguing scenes,,

You and Spinel have been rivals since- well- forever.

Over time, as the two of you grew older, the rivalry only intensified, with him doing illegal activities just to get a step ahead of you.

Your Eevee evolved into an Espeon? Great, his Eevee evolved into an Umbreon.

You got a water type? He got a magneton.

Despite all this, you've managed to defeat him half of the time, even a bit more than that.

The last battle the two of you had was when you two were in your mid teens. You were going after champion rank and he was there- because- he's your rival!! That's what rivals do, get in your way.

Despite you mostly wining against him, he won the final battle before the two of you eventually lost contact.

Not too long after the two of you lost contact, you joined the RVT and he joined the Explorers.

The RVT was your second home, and later became your main home as you became second in command.

Being second in command, you had to make sure everyone was okay whilst Friede wasn't on board,

In all honesty, you forgot about Spinel, the two of you haven’t seen each other in a good few years now, and even though he was a strong rival, he slipped your mind, you had more important things to worry about like making sure Liko, Roy and Dot are okay.

Sometimes you swore the trio were a magnet for trouble, but it didn't matter, you still cared about them.

The day Liko went missing, you couldn’t help but blame yourself, you let Liko go alone, unsupervised.

You and the gang found Liko a day later in Levincia of all places which confused you to no ends, how was she there? Why was she there?

You had so many unanswered questions, but they didn't matter as she was safe.

But the one thing you immediately noticed was that her precious Pendant was stolen (alongside her memories that she got back later).

It wasn't until you were faced with an Umbreon that you suddenly remembered Spinel,

(No, getting jumped in an alley by a Magneton and a Beheeyem somehow didn't remind you of him),

"Go Umbreon. I do apologise that you have to fight some weak opponents,"

Memories flashed in your mind.

You knew that Umbreon.

It was the same Umbreon who stood proudly after Spinel had defeated you before you could fight the Elite 4.

"I'm especially sorry for sending you out to battle y/n, you know how weak they are,"

Spinel's voice rang in your ears as his Umbreon let out a low growl, remembering your Espeon from battle, resulting in your partner pokémon letting out a snarl of its own.

"Remember what happened at the league? You thought you were so prepared to face the Elite 4,? But you couldn't even beat your own rival?" Spinel taunted.

Oh how you wished you could wipe that stupid smirk off his face.

"I've grown. I've become a better trainer with my pokémon." Your protests fall short as Spinel laughs again. His disbelief annoying you to no ends.

"You're still using that weak little Espeon of yours, you know it doesn't stand a chance against my Umbreon."

The fur on your Espeon's back stood up. She never liked being compared to the Umbreon which by all means was understandable, with the dark type not being affected by her typing's moves.

"She isn't weak. She's won against your Umbreon!"

"Like what? Two times out of the many? Don't be so delusional."

You could feel Liko's worried gaze on you as you tried to think of something, anything to talk back.

"Umbreon, use dark pulse."

"Espeon, dodge!"

Another cackle came can be heard from the probably-still-teal haired man.

"If you're so strong. Why are you scared of a dark pulse,?"

Gritting your teeth you flex your fingers, glancing around to try and find a way to use your sorroundings to your advantage.

"Espeon! Use Dazzling Gleam!"

Without even a word spoken, the Umbreon effortlessly doged it.

Letting out a hiss, your Espon jumped back to your side, glaring at her foe.

"You're still the same inexperienced trainer,"

Spinel kisses reader for the first time.

Spinel liked to show her affection differently than other people, or even other gems. She did a lot of odd things here and there that you thought were just adorable. For example, when she wanted to show you she loved you she’d smoosh her face into your shoulder and just kind of sit there until you started laughing or forced her off. Then she’d look up at you with one of her smiles like she just won something. She also liked clinging onto your arm, her arms wrapping around yours over and over again and not letting go. When she got like this you didn’t have a chance of prying her off. That was fine with you.

The one thing she never seemed to do was kiss you.

You gave her pecks all the time. You’d kiss her head or her cheek or her nose, whatever made her blush and giggle at you. She was so cute when she blushed. Well, she was cute all the time, but especially when she blushed. So you didn’t really expect her to kiss you first.

It seemed to come out of nowhere. You were just sitting on the couch together watching a movie. It was some kind of animated musical you really liked and thought she would like too. You looked at her after a particularly funny part, wanted to see her reaction, only to find her staring at you, not paying any attention to the movie at all. For a moment you were caught by the sparkle of her eyes. She had the prettiest big pink eyes.

Then her lips were on yours. They were somehow softer than you expected and sweet. It lasted only a moment but it seemed much longer to you.

You blinked at the gem and her cheeky little grin.

“What was that?”

“Amethyst told me that’s how humans show they love each other.” She said as if it was the most obvious thing ever. “I just wanted to see if I liked it.”

You shook your head. Whenever she did something human out of the blue like her explanation always seemed to start with “Amethyst told me”. She said it when she first tried eating and sleeping and now with kissing. You weren’t sure if it would cause some sort of trouble later on.

“Well, do you like it?”

She hummed thoughtfully, winding her arms around your waist over and over. You could see the look of contemplation on her face before she broke out in another one of her amazing smiles and nodding.

“I think I did!”

That was all the warning you got before she was kissing you again.

F- Flirting with you

She is surprisingly good at flirting with you. Like I’m not joking. She may not seem like the type to flirt, but she’s really good at it.

She knows all the right words to make you flustered. She would never embarrass you, but she’ll make your whole face turn pink.

H-Hugging You

She’s loves hugs! If you haven’t noticed, she’s very touchy.

She’ll hug you at almost anytime, unless it’s during a fight or something really serious. She mainly hugs you from the front since it’s more “sincere “ in her case.

But she’ll also give you side hugs while rubbing your shoulder for comfort

J-Joking With You

If your dating Pearl before the diamonds were nice, then she won’t joke around a lot. She’s just more serious and needs to focus you know?

But if it’s later on, then she’s actually pretty fun to joke around with. You guys joke about gem related things on homeworld. But, you two mainly joke about stuff on earth. Especially human things.

She won’t joke about anything that hurts your feelings though. She’ll stays away from that stuff.

K-Kissing You

This girl is always so nervous. Especially the first time you two kissed. She wanted your guys first kiss to be special so she took an extremely long time to kiss you.

But she normally kisses you on the cheek or mouth. Just sweet little pecks, but she does kiss you passionately from time to time.

Honestly I just wanna give all my love to Spinel, so if it's not too much how about a Spinel x fem!reader where she makes sure Spinel is happier than usual for the entire day, she does little things like making her breakfast etc ;") maybe it's like the anniversary of Spinel becoming good again or some other (more creative) reason you can come up with :D

This was so much stinking fun to write, I hope you like it!

When Spinel woke up that morning she was alone. For a split second she panicked. She had woken open alone before, it wasn’t something new, but she still had those moments. Thankfully, she had gotten better at handling it and the panic only lasted that one second. She could hear the noises coming from the kitchen, the clanging of pots and pans mixed with your soft footsteps and quiet singing.

She sighed, snuggling deeper into the blankets and happily listened to you sing. To her, your singing was the most beautiful sound in the galaxy, nothing could compare. It relaxed every muscle in her body, no matter how tense she was, and always made her hum happily.

She quietly groaned in disappointment when the singing stopped, dragging the blanket over her head. She listened to the soft footsteps as they approached the bedroom and the groan of the door as it was opened.

She peaked out of her blanket pile, smiling up at your face brightly. You smiled back, giggling and crawling back into bed, cuddling close to the gem. She wrapped her arms around you over and over, holding you tight and humming happily.

“Morning, love.” You chimed, giving her a peck on the lips. Her face heated up and her smile widened. She never would get used to your kisses. She would blush every time and get these cute little hearts in her eyes. It made you giggle.

“Morning, Doll. What’ve you been up to?” She purred, nuzzling into your neck.

“Just making breakfast. It’s your favorite!” You said that last part in a sing-song voice.

Spinel gasped, pulling away from you to look into your face.

“Chocolate chip pancakes?! You never make those!”

You giggled at her expression, giving her another kiss.

“Today’s a special day!”

Now Spinel was just confused, frowning thoughtfully at you.

“It is?”

“Yep!” you chimed happily.

“Why?”

You shook your head.

“I’m not telling you, you have to guess! If you do, you get a prize!”

Spinel hummed thoughtfully, smirking at you, eyes sparkling at the prospect of a game.

“Oh really? How long do I got?”

“Till the end of the day.”

“Well… It’s not our anniversary....”

“Nope!”

“It’s definitely not your birthday. I’d never forget that!”

She hummed thoughtfully again, looking rather perplexed. She couldn’t for the life of her figure it out! As far as she could tell, it was just another ordinary day.

“Maybe some pancakes will help you think.” You suggested and she smiled, letting you drag her out of the bed and into the kitchen for some breakfast. It was there that you told her you’d be going out for the day. You both decided to go to Funland and the arcade.

You spent all day doing whatever Spinel felt like, indulging her every random impulse. Did she want to jump into the ocean? You jumped with her, laughing together when you bobbed to the surface. Did she want to eat a pound or two of funnel cake? You bought it for her. Did she want to play that one arcade game fifty or a hundred or two hundred times in a row? You cheered her on, exploding with excitement every time she beat her own high score.

By the end of the day, there was only one more thing she wanted to do.

“Walk with me?”

And you did, the gem clinging onto your arm as the two of you wandered down the boardwalk, watching the lights as they glimmered like stars and reflecting off the gentle ocean below. The night was filled with the warmth of the summer day, the orange lights, and the body pressed close to yours. You had to admit, this was probably your favorite thing you’ve done all day. Nothing compared to the sparkle of the lights in Spinel’s eyes, the warm smile on her face, the way her gem shimmered. She had to be the most beautiful being in the universe.

You stopped in the middle of the boardwalk, both leaning against the railing to look out over the ocean. When you looked at Spinel again, she was staring at you, hearts in her eyes and a dopey smile on her face. You felt your face heat up and smiled sweetly at her.

“Did ya have a good day, sweetheart?”

Spinel hummed, snuggling closer to you and sighing.

“Sure did, Toots, the best day. There’s just one thing I still don’t get …” She looked at you, confusion clear on her face. “I still can’t for the life of me figure out why. What’s today?”

You smiled softly at her, then looked back out over the ocean. You could feel the gem’s eyes on you, not wavering for a second.

“It was a trick. There’s no way you can know about today. Sorry, love…”

Spinel huffed at that, poking your cheek and making you giggle.

“No fair!” She whined. “You cheated! Now you Have to tell me!”

“I know, love.” You were silent for a second. “It was today a year ago. We weren’t dating then, but we were friends. I think we were hanging out on the beach, just messing around. I must have said something funny cause you were laughing so hard you were crying!” You took a moment just to look at her, admiring the blush on her cheeks and the way she looked at you, with so much love you felt like you could explode. “That’s when I first realized I love you.”

Her blush grew darker and she made some sort of strangled sound, plopping her face into your shoulder in embarrassment. The sight drew a loud happy laugh from you and you wrapped the gem in your arms, holding her close to your chest. She giggled, hugging you back.

“I love you so, so much, Spinel.”

“I love you.”

This is the second installment of the "Do you wanna talk about it?" Series!

Spinel sat in the middle of the heart shaped crater that was left behind by her injector. She often wondered what would've happened if she were successful in destroying the earth. Would she be on home world? Would the diamonds love her? Would Steven hate her? He should. After all, she threw a stupid little tantrum and took it out on a bunch of strangers. She blamed them for taking away her best friend.

Best Friend. Those words were so very sacred to her. Someone to laugh with. Someone to dance and sing and play with...someone who loved her. But who would ever do that? Who would ever want to even be near her? She was a monster.

Spinel rose to her feet, and made her way down to beach city. Her shoes gave off a sad squeak as if to reflect her emotions. Hearing the humans laugh and seeing their happy little faces made Spinel sad. They're all so happy. They all have someone to love and someone to love them back. A child ran past her, giggling up a storm. Reaching for their mother, they bounced on their heels, asking to be held. The child laughed louder. Where they...laughing at her? Why? What's so funny? Was her suffering entertaining?

Everyone is watching. They're all pointing and laughing. At Spinel. They were enjoying her suffering. They all think it's what she deserves. They were right. She's a monster. A horrible being that shouldn't be on this planet-

"SPINEL!" A voice shouted. The pink gem opened her eyes...when did she close them? She wasn't in beach city. She was...on Steven's couch? Was it a nightmare? Did she fall asleep? "Spinel...what are you doing with your rejuvenator?" The lonely gem looked up. It was Steven. And the Crystal Gems. Why were they all staring at her like that? Wait... rejuvenator?

The pigtailed gem looked at her hands. The rejuvenator...was near her neck. What happened? What was going on? Spinel started to shake. "St-St-Steven…?" Her voice was so small. Like a child hiding from a monster under their bed. Careful to not spook her more, Steven moved slowly towards the pink gem, keeping his hands where she could see them. "Hey, it's okay, Spinel. You're okay. You're safe." He reached out to take the scythe from her shaking palms, but it only made her let out a panicked and frightened squeak. "Shh… it's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you. Relax. You're at my house. On earth. There's hot chocolate in front of you, it's peppermint. You're favorite. It's pink. Remember?"

"Peppermint Hot chocolate... earth." Spinel parroted. That's right. Steven invited her over for hot chocolate while she waited for her friend. What was her name?

Y/n. Her name was Y/n. And she wanted to go...where did she wanna go? As if reading her thoughts, Garnet said "Y/n will be here soon to bring to her house. She's almost got everything set up for you." "Yeah dude, you've been waiting for this for like two weeks! You finally get to move in with Y/n, remember?" Amethyst added on.

That's right… Y/n said….she could stay with her… Y/n was her friend...so why did Spinel feel so...bad?

"Why don't all of you go and meet Y/n on the beach? I'll stay here to help out Spinel. She's clearly anxious, and having a lot of people around is only gonna make this worse." Pearl said, walking to the back of the couch. Behind that helpful and concerned tone was nothing but malice, and Spinel knew it. All Spinel wanted was to be a friend…she just wanted to be Y/n's friend. So why…what was this happening? Why was Pearl so mean…? "Are you okay with that Spinel?" Steven asked, genuinely. The pink gem went to answer, but Pearl cut her off. "Oh Steven, I'm sure it's fine!" She said, ushering him and the other gems to the front door. "Just tell Y/n we'll both be down stairs and at the beach in a few minutes."

No, don't leave me alone with Pearl.

"Oh, uhm okay, we'll see you in a few minutes! Feel better Spinel!"

Steven!

Before Spinel could protest, Steven and the other gems were already down stairs and headed towards the beach. "Be safe, Steven!" Shouted Pearl with a sweet smile.

The atmosphere changed as soon as she closed the door. Spinel began to shake. "I can't believe y/n is letting a monster like you stay in her house." Pearl said. "Honestly, we should just send you back to wherever you came from and leave you there. Earth is for gems who don't throw stupid little tantrums because their "Best Friend" left them." Pearl gripped, mocking the pink gem's voice.

Spinel's eyes began to tear up. Why was pearl so mean…? "You tried to destroy the earth! My home! Steven's home! Pink Diamond's home! No wonder she left you behind, you're nothing but a chore and nuisance." Spinel couldn't say anything. She was frozen. All she could do was listen to the gem in front of her complain about her mere existence.

Pearl was right. She didn't belong here. She was a monster. "The only reason why you haven't been poofed and contained or worse, is because of Y/n. If it weren't for her, we would've done away with you a long time ago. Remember that, Spinel."

That's right. Y/n's empathy is what saved Spinel from being poofed. Spinel is only here, because of her. Pearl walked closer to the anxious pink gem before her and leaned in so that she was looking into her eyes.

"Now, I don't want you causing trouble for Y/n. She's a sweet girl, and doesn't deserve to be brought into your drama. Just stay out of her way, and keep your mouth shut." Pearl threatened. Still shaking, Spinel nodded. Afraid to use her voice, she added a noise of agreement, and forced her eyes to look at the ground.

"Now let's go. Steven and the others are waiting for us" Pearl said, grabbing Spinel's hot chocolate. Upon entering the kitchen, Pearl dumped it all down the drain. Spinel was holding back tears. She had wanted to finish the sweet, hot beverage. She wanted to take it with her. She wanted…she wanted too…

"Didn't you hear me?! Move!" Pearl shouted. Spinel must've spaced out again. Getting frustrated, Pearl pushed Spinel to the door, causing her to fumble into it instead. Scared and anxious, Spinel opened the door and ran towards the beach. Leaving Pearl to scowl at her from afar, before calming walking to the beach herself.
