this is ammar anwar, a councillor in kirklees who resigned from the labour party over starmer’s support for the apartheid state of so-called israel. i only wish more politicians had his courage.

RE: Percy, Percy's Priscus, & The Week of Nightmares
Tumblr media
I don't think I've ever mentioned it anywhere outside of the recesses of my mind, but Percy's Priscus/packmate, who I'm now tentatively naming Evelyn (EV-uh-lin as opposed to Eve-lin), was someone that he loved, truly and deeply, in a way that he had never known before and has not known since. Platonically, mind, despite what the picture may insinuate :). It's thematic, mostly.
Her Final Death (or their separation, the severing if you will, depending on which timeline you're playing with) absolutely took a bit of him with it. The vinculum almost certainly played its role dutifully in the whole ordeal, but even nearing the higher echelons of it, at times, paled in comparison to the personal feelings he held.
A stalwart warrior in her own right, Evelyn, to him, was a visionary; a mighty pillar of polished marble - the cornerstone to which he compared all other Cainites (maybe a stepping stone or so below Caine himself; It'd be hubris to compare her directly to the Dark Father anyhow). A lofty bit of comparison to have to live up to, but in defying both the main clan and the generalized set of behaviors for the Antitribu, she unconsciously worked at it dutifully - leading by example. He respected her deeply and, much like the rest of their brothers and sisters, would've laid down his life for her (though that much is evident lmao)
He would've followed her anywhere, so much so that it took the direct intervention of an Antediluvian to rip them apart
