prescription passion is just. it’s not the concept that’s absurd, it’s a parody of soaps, that’s nothing new.

It’s the fact that House watches it. And likes it so much that when the lead is his patient he can’t help but share his prediction for the finale.

And it’s a medical soap, specifically. Which makes me think about why House derives enjoyment from watching it. Certainly not for medical accuracy

Like for example:

There are so many House-isms in this. If House didnt adopt the mannerisms by osmosis he must have watched the whole series thinking “yeah that’s me”

The other side of this is House watched this thinking “god I wish that was me” (the being-openly-vulnerable-about-reciprocating-love part, not the so-many-people-are-in-love-with-him-it’s-absurd part. because house already has that)
