I also think it's cute because he often manages to find a way to spin it into something that ends up being fun/sweet/thoughtful towards MC, which is just delightful. I feel like when Vlad comes in he gets a lil grumpy and jealous and retreats into himself a bit, like his private time with MC was stolen 😚

I still chortle about the Honeymoon event where Vlad gave MC a bouquet of flowers to celebrate their wedding day, and the way it felt like Comte wanted to trash them 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 it was so unbelievably funny. In your new fic, how dark is Anakin really? I know he Falls when Obi-Wan goes missing/runs off to Melida/Daan, but even the flashbacks before that make him sound pretty dark for a Jedi even if Obi-Wan doesn't see it

i think anakin is pretty not ok even before he Falls - he's twenty years older than obi-wan in this fic so that's twenty whole years to fuck around, be manipulated by palpatine, train ahsoka and then have her leave the Order anyway, etc etc

in one of the first iterations of this fic, i wanted anakin to be dark/Fallen the very first time he meets Obi-Wan and I think a lot of that is still present in the final fic, in that first flashback when obi-wan is sparring with chun and it gets out of hand. anakin is watching and anakin is appreciative that it got so out of hand, that obi-wan bit and drew blood from another padawan, that he fell so easily into his darker instincts.

so what if obi-wan had had a master by then?? anakin wanted him as his apprentice the moment he saw him fighting, some scrappy feral initiate whose mind relented so easily to anakin's Force touch.

if obi-wan had already been chosen by a different master, i'm like 90/10 certain that master would very suddenly and unexpectedly die. it's war after all. tragedies happen.
