Keeping Lag to a Minimum...

I was chatting about a few things I do to combat lag over on discord and realised I do quite a bit of maintenance to reduce lag/load times. I decided to write em all down and before I knew it, I had a big ol' list. Here's hoping it helps!

Save/File Tips:

Clear your caches (located in the same spot as your mod folder fyi) I usually delete the onlinethumbnailcache, avatarcache and localthumbcache caches every time I exit the game, the main one to delete regularly is the localthumbcache file, they're just temporary files but it can get pretty big after a while.. if you're having any mod issues, particularly ui ones, it's always worth deleting that to see if it helps.

Remove any saves you're not using from your saves folder, and keep an eye on save file sizes. In my experience, any saves over around 30-40mb start to get a bit laggy. Things that bump this size up are the amount of townies in game and the amount of lots/objects in the world.

Regarding the above point, I regularly bulldoze lots I don't need anymore, just to save the game from having to cope with extra shit to load in the background and reduce save file bloat.

Similarly, I delete a lot of unnecessary townies. Also, try to keep the amount of outfits on townies to a minimum, ain't no townie need four swimsuit outfits, the game will thank you..

If you have cheats enabled you can usually shift-click/delete object on things like random coffee cups or stray cupcakes sims foolishly drop around the world (or eat em.. whatever tickles ur pickle) just get rid!

Whilst we're keeping objects in game to a minimum.. I try to clear sims inventories now and then, including townies. You can do this via mccc even if you're not currently playing that household by heading to MC Cleaner -> Sell Sim Inventory/Sell Household Inventory. RANDOM LUMPS OF CLAY BEGONE!

Think of a save file like a lot.. the more objects in it, the laggier it gets! Try your best to remove anything or anyone unnecessary where you can.

Hit "Save As" instead of "Save" now and then - the more you overwrite a save, the more chance it has of going wonky, treat your game to a fresh one now and then and remove the old one from your saves folder (maybe don't delete it right away in case you wanna roll back, keep it somewhere safe).

If you can (although ik it can be a pain) set up a new/fresh save, you'd be surprised how bogged down old ones can get! For legacy players, it's usually best to do this whenever you have a small family to save yourself some pain, since you can just save the household and take em to a new save (you will lose sims inventories/household inventories/relationships with sims outside the household tho so beware! Pictures/other collectables can be saved to a lot however, and you can always cheat back relationship bits etc.. bit of a last resort but new saves are shiny and fast!)

Make sure your Screenshots/Video folders are empty - move em somewhere else, it works, trust me. If you have a lot of custom music installed try n' clear some of those out too.. the smaller that Sims 4 directory is, the better.

Delete any last exceptions/last crashes (same spot as your mod folder again) you don't need em unless you're planning to upload em somewhere for help.

Settings Etc:

If you get a bad lag spike, opening the main menu and/or saving can randomly stop this. If it doesn't, try exiting the game, clearing your localthumbcache and restarting.

Clearing all notifications from the game panel can also help.

If you can, close all other apps and background apps you don't need whilst playing, ts4 is super memory hungry so it can definitely help.

The GraphicsRules Override file by Simp4Sims can reduce lag/latency and make your game look a little better in the process!

Srslysims Simulation Lag Fix mod can help reduce lag too (if you've altered the game speed via mccc tho, don't use this unless you plan on resetting it to default).

If you aren't keen on, or barely use a pack, consider disabling it.

Not ideal, especially for those of us taking screenshots, but lowering the graphics settings whilst playing definitely helps.

If you use re/g-shade, consider switching it off whilst playing and only turn it on for screenshots.

A clean and tidy pc/laptop runs better in general. Remove anything you're not using/don't need anymore to free up space, remove temp files, clean up your folders now and again etc etc.. especially that dreaded mod folder, speaking of...

Managing Mods:

SORT OUT YOUR MODS FOLDER FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.. skdsjdjs it doesn't have to be immaculate but at the very least try n' clear it out now n' then. Also try to separate your script mods/overrides from the rest, patch days don't need to be so stressful ;-;

Personally, I don't merge my mods; if something breaks it's much harder to pinpoint! It makes it easier to find/delete specific mods too.. and let's face it, there's usually one or two items in that set you could do without lmaooo.. also, don't think it helps much tbh! Yeah you could say the game doesn't have to work as hard to load merged files but that's debatable, it's still the same amount of items/polys at the end of the day ¯\(°_o)/¯

If you like merging files and/or see results from doing so, you can merge stuff you definitely know you're never getting rid of, especially CAS/BB stuff.. but steer clear of merging gameplay/script mods! If a merged file seems to be the culprit when using the 50/50 method, try unmerging it and 50/50ing it again! You might not need to get rid of everything if something's borked.

Bulk Rename Utility can be used to remove all spaces and special characters from your mod files, the game doesn't particularly like loading those so it'll thank you.

The Sims 4 Mod Manager is a great way to sort through your mods, you can easily see, move and delete files from here (not great for build/buy, poses etc as thumbnails are usually missing, but great for CAS stuff). An extra hint with this that I've noticed is that if any of my mods get renamed with [D1] at the beginning after looking through them via the mod manager, it means it's a duplicate file so you can get rid.

I also use the Sims 4 Tray Importer to help me sort through mods. Simply save a sim/lot with any cc you don't want and find it in the importer, you can then go through all the cc in the cc tab and delete/sort it (I also use this to sort cc if a bunch has the wrong tags etc, makes it easier to find in my folders by saving em to a lot or w/e - it also spots duplicates which is handy).

It's a ballache, but the 50/50 method is tried and tested if you're having issues.

I like to keep an abandoned cc folder tucked away somewhere, that way you can remove mods willy nilly without stressing about losing them. If you change your mind, you can always grab it back!

Alright let's get into it, starting with Madlen's Perla Outfit and Valeria Shoes. AF only, has morphs. Original colors, swatch included. Not all shoe colors. This was my first time converting heels (and only second time converting shoes) so the normals are a little wonky, apologies if there's weird lighting and shadows on them. Polycount is aprox 9k.

Madlen's Elin Outfit is AF only, and it has a fat morph but the preg morph wasn't looking right. Original colors, swatch included. Shoes are DallasGirl79 Hana Dorsay Pumps (converted by ImaginaryBoutique). Polycount is aprox 11k.

Sifix's Desdemona Dress is AF only, has morphs. Original colors, swatch included. No feet/shoes. Has some wonky bones. Because of how many vertices the dress has I had a hard time seeing them to manually adjust the bones that weren't right. So it's a little weird in the back and frequently clips on itself when the sim moves. Apologies. Polycount is aprox 15k ❗

Gorilla Gorilla Gorilla's Bodycon Bandage Dress is AF only, and it does not have morphs. Original colors, swatch included. Shoes are MMSIMS Dunk Low Sneakers (converted by ImaginaryBoutique). This was by far the least successful of the conversions and I don't think I did a very good job tbh. My attempts to teach myself polycount reduction have been unsuccessful, and the higher the polycount the harder it is for me to see what I'm doing. The polycount is ❗ aprox 23k ❗like I swear it looked like it had snowed in milkshape there were so many vertices 😅 I'd like to reconvert this sometime in the future when I figure out poly reducing, but I still wanted to challenge myself to convert it now. Bones are pretty odd during some movements. I hope it's at least a little bit usable. Also, there's a dark spot on the back but it's a part of the texture 🤔 I wasn't comfortable enough with my editing skills to remove it.

Notes:

The 3 dresses are not available for maternity (because they look odd), but they do have the maternity morphs in case someone thinks they'd like to use them for that stage.

Also, the 3 dresses have a bit of a wonky bone assignment on the right side of the skirt. Noticeable when sims raise their arms.

I got a request to make the leg warmers that were attached to the shoes (from part 1) into accessories. In the download, you'll find a separate archive containing those, but as I said in this reply they don't look that good and the textures are completely blurred out. They're still usable, but I'd stick with the original shoes from part 1 or the leg warmers from Modish-Kitten which work as bottoms.

I feel like you guys could go on a couple different dates depending on what you like. His favourite kind of dates would be anything including outdoor physical activity, swimming on the beach, (indoor) rock climbing, bungee jumping, mini road trips (would have his license) even just a simple walk along the forest. If you aren’t as adventurous as him but are still willing to try it out just cause he likes it, he would be so appreciative of you and you guys would have literally so much fun. Other dates are simply watching tv shows together, going to fun 3d picture museums, shopping at the mall. He’s also willing to try anything you want to try and go to any place you want to visit. He's literally perfect i love him so much but he's dead so

i don’t feel like she’s the type of person to want to go on dates specifically (she wouldn't label it as a date), but you guys hang out often at each other’s places and that's enough for her personally, but in case you do want to go out somewhere special she probably will agree. if it was up to her she’d take you to her favourite river or a lake and you guys could sit on the pier and just talk about life, doubling over with laughter whenever either of you cracks a funny joke. that’s her type of date. but again she's up for anything else as long as its with you <3 would definitely take you to her favourite thrift shop and you guys could get cute matching couple outfits. In case you guys go anywhere picturesque she’s the BEST photographer, knows all the angles and all the poses, super still hands when she takes the photos and none of them are ever less than flawless.

you guys would definitely go to the movies (works there part time and uses his worker privileges to get free popcorn and drinks), arcade, skateboarding park, roller skate park, literally anything and everything fun. also enjoys staying in and laying in bed together just scrolling on tiktok (and making tiktoks with each other). during these dates he would take photos of you and post it on his secret instagram account titled mypookiey/n that kiri, teyam, aonung, rotxo and you follow (reya not included cause I feel like if he didn’t like tsireya romantically he’d be kinda shy to talk to her since she’s like the popular girl and he considers himself an outcast). you guys record music covers together and he loves editing them cause he loves hearing your voice (gets so giddy inside, totally has a shy small smile on his face when u sing he's so cute AGHHHH)

amusement park dates WOOO you’d both have so much fun. riding roller coasters, playing the mini games, going into the photo booths, buying cotton candy, couple selfies on the ferris wheel, never a dull moment with this guy. If he sees a giant teddy bear as a prize for a minigame he would get you it in one try. often invites you to be front row at his basketball games and in case you’re interested in learning he would not hesitate to teach you the best he could (would also mock you for not being as good as him). He holds your hand everywhere (in case ur not good with PDA he wouldn’t but i think we can all agree his love language is physical touch so….would be a very hard time for him). In case you’re struggling with maths he would definitely tutor you, you could kinda consider that a date??? I guess????

cafe, library, studying dates. that and also you both go to the mall together. He’s very funny and can make a joke out of anything, any “boring” date he can turn right around. Since he’s good with his words definitely tries to embarrass you in public by reading out a poem dedicated to you that he made on the spot, earning a smack on the back of the head from you. He also does this thing where he takes you to check out the toy sections in shops and you both make fun of the price together because what the hell why is a little pony plushie like 25 bucks?? he also loves taking couple photos together

you guys eat together, go to cute cafes, picnics in the park, also enjoy laying in bed and scrolling through tik tok together. window shopping is a must, always tries out cute outfits and asks you for your opinion on them, and also fixes together pieces for you to wear. you guys do cute ass stuff like interlocking pinkies and then taking photos of said pinkies and posting it on your stories. dog cafes, cat cafes, and bird cafes are also great. also loves doing sleepovers, always insists on sleeping in a sleeping bag no matter if a bed is available or not because it's part of the fun. she will also do your skincare with or without you asking.

Literally guess who i had the easiest time writing for is and who i struggled with the most bet u cant get it right. i just wanted 2 post this just because im feeling guilty as hell cause it's been a week and there's minimal progress on the neteyam series…we’re getting there i promise guys. reblogs and comments are most appreciated, it lets me know whether the content im putting out is actually good or not 😭

I watched the reaction and when it got to The Dream Premiere I was like how do you not SEE. They were screaming in our faces. Actually the whole of chap.2 was them screaming in our faces how smitten they are with eachother. How much space they take in eachother's lives despite busy schedules, (spending time before and after trips, hello) The couple vibes they were giving off was so real and it couldn't just be explained away as fan service because most of these moments were during free time. If this was a man and a woman it would not be up for debate. Look at how easily everyone accepted Taennie despite so much wonky and dodgy evidence and there you have Taekook blushing and shyly staring at eachother in HD at The Dream Premiere looking like they coordinated their outfits. Tae was looking at Kookie like he was ready to claim him on the spot, like this man is his whole world. The Kappa sweetheart shirts? Lets be real that was no coincidence and that's the type of stuff couples do in Korea which is why nobody really wants to talk about it lol. But okay, brothers I guess.

I'm intrigued by the planning of the tee. Tell me if I'm working this out wrong but I believe the timezones are too far apart for it to be a spontaneous lol wouldn't it be funny if we did this kind of thing.

JK's call sheet for dressing/glam was 6:30am LA time which is already 10:30pm Seoul time. Bruno Mars had probably already finished?

I'm betting he either showed Tae his costume fittings earlier and Tae wore his or they really sat down and plotted couples outfits. The Celine jacket and padlock MIGHT be a coincidence but Tae was absolutely definitely fully ensconced as Celine boy at that point. The association is clear to me.

I'm not sure how anyone is watching the Dream premiere and thinking it's not a little bit loved up. 😂 I was, I think, barely TKing when I first saw it and I was like WTF IS HAPPENING. Pivotal.

Though in non-shipper defence, it was the fancam of JK stopping, his wide eyes and extreme shyness and Tae reaching for his hand that did it for me. Maybe that's not shown so often in non-shipping spaces?

You and Jake were walking along a strip way downtown for the sake of seeing what was there since that specific strip was known for having pop-up shops of varying things and thought it would be fun.

You ended up that this shabby boutique.

While you were looking at all the shitty clothes made with cheap fabric, Jake had wondered off somewhere deeper into the store. But when he found you again, he held something in his hand.

"Béba. Mira, mira." he smiles in a hushed tone as he shows you what he found. When you took the small baggy in your hands to see what he was giggling about you saw velvet red colored packaging with various fruits and kiss marks printed on it and with the label itself reading "Love Candy" on it. At first you thought that it was one of those regular Valentines candies that were being sold while out of season, but you saw the smaller words below the actual label reading "aphrodisiac stimulant candy".

You looked up at Jake, with a bit of blush on your cheeks that made your unimpressed face more funny. "Where did you find this?" you ask. "In the back. I noticed that they had some cute outfits over there and wanted to see if there was something for you." Jake explained while still wearing that smug look on his face.

You glance towards the back and see that there were some displays of equally cheap looking lingerie. No actual surprise to be honest, it makes sense that he would find these there.

"I took a glance at what was there but if you want, you can come over and see what you like." he suggested with a brief wiggle of his eyebrows. You roll your eyes at his antics and turn back to looking at the regular clothes on the rack in front of you. "I know this place is cheap, but I'm not wasting money on something that's going to get torn up as soon as I wear it." you remark. "I won't tear them up." Jake responded. "Save that promise for the actual ones I buy, Lockley." you comment in a playfully stern tone.

You didn't see Jake actually buy the candy, but you also didn't see him head to the back like he put them back either. He was standing in the entrance of the shop waiting for you to finish up. It also made it evident that he had brought them due to him having something in the pocket of his jacket that made a crinkle sound when you grazed it.

When you got home and made it through the doorway you turned back towards Jake before he could even take his jacket off. "Why'd you buy them?" you plainly asked. "I'm a grown man. I can buy what I want." he said in an equally plain voice but you could see the smirk grow back onto his face. "And what harm can it do, beba? It's just some candies that turn you on." Jake justifies.

"Are you saying that I don't turn you on anymore?" you tease. "Oh no, mí amor. Quite the opposite." he flirts. "I just thought it could be something new to try out." Jake explains as he takes out the bag of candy. "I'm not saying that we do it now. But we could do it some other time to see how it goes." Jake suggests. "I don't know how well this is as it's own foreplay." Jake notes.

You think for a moment, looking between the bag and thinking about certain factors that would be involved or get in the way if you did them now.

"I mean," You start, "The neighbors next to us are gone and the other place next to us is vacant. So we wouldn't really get a complaint." you mutter to yourself. You think for a bit longer before looking back up at Jake, who's waiting on you.

"Okay. We can test them out now if you want, but once we start feeling it we're laying down a towel. I don't want to have to wash anything out of anywhere." you answer. Jake nods but you can see it in his eyes that he's mentally pumping his fist in excitement that you're willing to try this out.

A while after taking a few pieces of the fruity tasting candy, you start to feel fuzzy and actually started pacing around the living room because of how uncomfortable it felt to sit still. You felt like you were heating up from the inside. Jake was sat on the couch, clearly feeling the same thing but was opting to stay on the couch in case moving made him worse.

This wasn't a bad feeling. It did make you feel funny but in a good way. Though you were starting to feel uncomfy with the clothes, that were previously fine, touching your skin.

"This wasn't a dumb idea after all." Jake remarks in a breathy voice. "I never said it was a dumb idea." you comment back.

It had actually been quite a while since you ate the candy and you wanted to get rid of the uncomfiness of this whole situation, but you didn't want to throw in the towel and go get the previously mentioned towel because you felt like it would be like you were accepting defeat in a competition that you never betted each other but were playing.

"Stop pacing, béba. You're gonna burn a path into the floor." Jake saying, with the slightest hint of a whine. "Just get- come over here." he suggested with a come here gesture. "No, I can last a little longer." you remark. "You go get the towel if you want to do this already." you say as you look at him.

You've been seeing him squirm in his seat when he thought you weren't looking, and his tanned face was now red. He looked like he was trying to sweat out a fever with how his face was settled and his occasional huffing. You were bad, but so was he.

"Go get it for me. I feel like I'm going to explode if I stand up." Jake huffs out, being the one to tap out and admit defeat.

With that you speed walk towards the laundry cabinet where you stored your clean towels, grabbing one, and placing it on the bed.

"Jake. Get over here." you call from the bedroom. You hear his heavy footsteps before he walks into the room. You can see that he was expecting to get to it on the couch due to the button and zipper of his pants being undone. But that didn't really matter much since he practically jumped on you.

You place one of your hands on his shoulder that's been left alone in an attempt to brace yourself but you just felt the almost burning heat of his skin on your palm.

"Jake," you moan out, causing him to let out a shaky breath in response.

"I'm almost-" you manage to say before another moan interrupts you. "I know," Jake says, "God, I know..." he moans out as he keeps thrusting like it's all he knows how to do right now. He was starting to get sloppy and you can feel that he's getting close to coming.

"Just cum already. It's fine." you beg. "I'll ride mine out. Just- please." you say.

It was clear that Jake didn't need to be told twice. He gave everything he had in him in order to cross that threshold so that he could finally let go. When he finally reached it he leaned forward to be deeper inside of you as he came, letting out a moan and giving more lazier thrusts to fully get off his high.

Jake panted out while still inside of you. He let out a surprised yelp when you rolled him over, seemingly forgetting what you said earlier about riding out your own orgasm.

It was clear that Jake was blissed the hell out but that he was by no means going to stop you and letting out tired moans and whines as you rid like you were trying to break it. He held your hips as he encouraged you like you did him.

"Fuck, just like that. Ride me out." he moaned.

Once you got to your end of the line you toppled over slightly and rolled off of him as you caught your breath.

Thankfully, depending on how you look at it, you still had the aphrodisiacs in your bodies which drove you two to go at it again a few times after catching your breathes. The whole session didn't stop till your bodies decided that they were done rather than letting the damn candy run out of their effect themselves.

I just... hate this episode??? Screenshots under the cut, but oh my god the art is so wonky in this panel- and it especially shows in poor little baby Dionysus. The characters in this either look good or shit. Mostly shit.

Apollo's 'side' of the story is a really shitty thing to do and it seems like he's being justified in a way?? I'm not usually critical of stories, because I'm really dumb and can't analyse, but I'm sure that giving the perspective of an abuser is a pretty big no-no in writing, right? It could just be the story playing Apollo as a whiny ass guy who didn't know what he was doing, but it's coming off as 'It isn't my fault okkaaayy? 🥺👉👈'

It's just icky.

First off- tiny head syndrome, yaoi hands, and I'm 95% sure that every male character is beginning to look like a fucking margarita glass. Also, i think the background is just a little bit too blurry: Zeus doesn't really look like he's in the world around him, he's more of a PNG pasted on top.

Okay. Anatomy. She's got bug eyes and is drawn a little childishly but overall it's alright. Shading. Muddy as shit- Rachel, please stop using the multiply layer for everything please i swear to god-

Overall, from Apollo's perspective this is a pretty good metaphor for this whole comic. A sad little uwu girl is put on a pedestal while she does absolutely horrendous shit. Although the rest of his perspective is shit.

...Artemis, my /p Love, how... why...

So. Artemis is suffering from a really weird pose. Why are her hands doing... that? Her head is also a bit large but that's to be expected. Her pose is just so... stiff? going back to S1 she had such better posing, even if the anatomy was arguably worse.

Look at this??? There's so much emotion and personality in these, and they just look gorgeous! Now, let's compare S1 with S3, hm?

You can see that not only the anatomy is better, the shading is better, and that her outfit is really good, but you can tell that the second photo has much, much more emotion. Natural emotion, that is, not the goofy, non-serious kind of emotion that's comedic at best.

You can tell that Rachel put so much more effort into S1, with the amazing lighting and personality.

Dreamling Ever After AU

I have had a thought for another fairy tale AU, this time based on the fantastic Cinderella movie Ever After.

The basis would be Hob, in his lowest 1600s point, before the 1689 meeting, manages to finally land himself a job, working as a servant for a strange, sorceress lady who works him like a dog and treats him as less then one, but at least lets him sleep indoors by the fire and have food and drink.

(It's Thessaly. He gets stuck working for Thessaly)

I'm thinking that Thessaly has captured some fairy servants, and is keeping them trapped basically in her manor along with Hob, who she picked up because she can sense his immortality and thinks he's some other sort of magical being she can bind and draw power from. But really he's just so desperate for bread and board he'd stay anyway without being bound.

Hob being Hob ends up befriending the fairy servants, and when Thessaly sends one of the servants off to be tithed to Hell to get a favor from another fairy Hob goes to save him, as he's not bound as they are as the spells are ment for magical beings.

He goes disguised as a fairy noble--via help from the little magic the fairy servants are able to scrounge up and maybe an amulet they stole from Thessaly or something--to protect him from the reap fairies who will be there.

(He has one blue eye based off his Stranger's, pulled from his thoughts as the fairy servants weave the glamour around him)

So Hob's glamoured up so much to survive Faerie that Dream, who's visiting the fairy courts, doesnt recognize him (his powers are kinda wonky in Faerie anyway we'll say, wibbly wobbly Plot Convience-y) and thinks Hob is a member of the fairy courts, and finds himself intrigued and charmed by this strangely down to earth and kind fairy lord.

(During this time Hob meets and befriends Nuala who fills the Gustav/friend role, her brother might fill the spy-guy role working for Thessaly)

So yeah Hob would keep sneaking off to Faerie to meet dream after his fellow fairy servants encourage him and such, and he's also trying to search for ways to break their bindings to Thessaly and free them.

And he keeps running into Dream and just barely missing Thessaly catching him as she's of course mucking about and now has her eye on weasling her way into the Endless' graces as he's the biggest fish in the pond.

But Dream finds that he more and more only has eyes for his fairy lord, and Hob has long since fallen head over heels for his Stranger as he's gotten to finally know him these last few weeks.

During this time Hob also meets Death, who comes to check on her brother as he's spending a lot of time in Faerie and she wants to make sure he's not going after Titania again or vis versa. She recognizes Hob instantly of course, having made him who he is and knowing everyone.

She knows also sees what a good influence he is on Dream, and determines to help this along. In the disguise of an old woman she gifts Hob a pair of magical shoes-- made from ones he once gave to someone poor in his more prosperous days-- that will protect him from fairy snares so he can better navigate pretending to be part of the fairy courts (there's an old legend about how if you give a pair of shoes to a beggar in life they're given back to you in death in order to walk through hell to heaven, and I'm fiddling around with that a bit)

Eventually of course Hob realizes he has to tell Dream the truth and that he's no fairy lord, just plain old Hob Gadling, who has nothing to offer anymore, no wealth or fame or magic, but only his heart.

Thessaly has figured it out by now of course, and after burning his picture of Eleanor and Robyn after making him trade the magic shoes Death gave him, locks him away so he can't go to the fairy ball.

But he's broken out by Death, who was summoned by the fairy servants, who also managed to steal back and hide the shoes. Death makes him an outfit and encourages him to go tell Dream the truth and trust in Dream's love for him over anything else.

Aaaand of course Thessaly has to jump in and make it look like Hob has been getting close to Dream for selfish purposes, and Dream is a dork and feels he's been made a fool of and rejects Hob before Hob can explain.

At this point Thessaly decides Hob's been too much trouble and decides she'll use him as her next Tithe to Hell, and sends him off to the well they chuck people down.

Death goes and knocks some sense into Dream, who realizes just what he's thrown away and manages to save Hob (Hob may have half saved himself by then anyway-- using the one magical shoe he managed to smuggle with him--as its what happens in the movie but also let Dream show his devotion and save the dear or something. )

And finally they both are able to get their acts together and confess their feelings...

Thessaly gets whats coming to her, both from retroactively threatening the new Prince Consort of the Dreaming and having captured and sacrificed members of the Fairy Court.

The fairy servants are freed, Hob and Dream have a proper fancy marriage in the Dreaming. And they all live Happily Ever After...

I might turn this into a fic, maybe. I want to at least finish or get close to finishing the Enchanted AU fic first, and we'll see how I feel after that. But I loved the idea and wanted to put it out there to share :)

Okay! Lego movie christmas carol au incoming! I’m not quite proficient with tumblr formatting and I mainly discussed about this on discord and doodles on paper so this might be hard to read? Sorry!

Some parts of the story have to change a bit. Notably, the cratchit family has no tiny tim! Its just ma and pa and gcbc. Most characters designs have to change to reflect the time period, but the 3 spirits, who are just the cloud cuckooland guys, get to have their systar outfits on. Just cuz its extra silly!

I’ve also tried to add a bit of christmas stuff to them (GOCPast is usually depicted as a flame/with a flowing dress so unikitty gets a flame on her horn and flowy tail, GOCPresent is just ripped from the starkids christmas carol musical, and GOCFuture always has a robe on but its so obviously metalbeard because metalbeard is huge that its kind of funny) They’re ghosts so they need not worry about 1844 london fashion.

Business’s relationships get kinda wonky because Scrooge has an ex-wife and a sister and nephew. And those are kind of hard to do. Business’s sister is changed to his brother Risky, but since Emmet is the nephew that makes risky emmets dad, so I advise you just dont think about it too hard. And Business’s ex is Maya, which is just the woman upstairs(Maya Rudolph), but shes a person and Business is a LEGO. So again just try not to think about that too hard im doing my best here.

Im a bit shy to share my drawings, they were made in class when i was bored so they are not up to par with the rest of my art. But for this post I’ve quickly made a little lineup with business and 2/3 christmas spirits. (I dont know how id draw metalbeard. He’d just be in a giant cloak.)

I’ve no idea what else to add, it’s really just a christmas carol but with lego movie characters! I started working on rewriting the christmas carol book with this au a while ago and i’ll make sure to share it when im done. But i am a slow writer ha ha. Maybe it’ll actually be done by christmas, that would be more seasonally appropriate. If you have any questions id be happy to answer!

Hello. I love Conner Kent and have compiled pretty much every time Conner and Tim have had any kind of intimacy since he was brought back to canon.

Let’s go in order!

Young Justice 2019 (not to be confused with the OG)

For the record, this is pre-bisexual-realization Tim. tbh I’ve been thinking about just how bitter Tim sounds here despite still being oblivious to how freaking gay he is. Like, seriously “Whatever dumb thing or person makes him happy makes me happy.” Like, why they gotta be dumb, Timbo? While not anywhere near as weird, it also feels very strong for Tim to say with his whole-ass chest “he’s my best friend and I love him” solely given how recently he recovered those memories. But if they had resolidified into him by that point, it’s not too strange. Stronger things have been said about them and by them.

Conner goes right for Tim. (In fairness, Cassie’s already got him and Bart isn’t in the room yet, but still)

(Also please join me in desperately trying to ignore the Drake outfit for the next few images because Yikes)

Conner was being such a Mom to Bart before this that this just reminds me of when they started Young Justice and he made a comment about how Bart would be a handful for other heroes or parents and Tim just gave him a Look and he was like “Oh, no! I am NOT the mom!” Sure, Jan.

More cute Bart, but it’s just...the thought. Bart knew Tim would want to see pics of Kon punching Luthor in the face and I love that for them.

I couldn’t not include the subsequent hug. THEY’RE SO FRICKIN CUTE.

That’s about it for Young Justice (and thankfully Drake). Next is the Tim Drake Pride Special, most of which is also in Batman: Urban Legends. Though Conner is only in Urban Legends for this one hot sec.

Kon doesn’t end up helping with Bernard because Tim is a stubborn dumbass with a habit for self-sabotage. But he saves the day and gets the boy anyway.

(For the record, I am endgame TimKon 100%, but Tim and Bernard are also very cute together and I’m so excited to see more of them! Honestly, read the new Tim Drake: Robin comics they are so flippin cute and we get to see Bernard being a ridiculous conspiracy theorist like he was on New Earth and it’s actually pretty funny and so cute UGH)

Then this is I think exclusive to the Pride Special, and we are post Bisexual Awakening.

So many people loved this page. Including me. But this part of the special was more about getting Tim to talk to Stephanie again. Because he’s an awkward loser who is trying to find himself and will occasionally just distance himself from people to do so. Despite generally being self aware and knowing better.

Anywho, the following is from Dark Crisis: Young Justice. Which isn’t too bad, but sometimes feels a bit wonky, especially with the girls. But it’s not totally out of character, especially given the Fresh Trauma, and it gets in the boys’ heads. And there’s...A Lot.

This is...well, these are Cassie’s thoughts. The plot hole made here, “Conner never find[ing] out” which shouldn’t be true because both Cassie AND Tim told him about this, is hand waved later because the whole thing with Rebirth is everyone’s memories are Fucked. I mean, Kon and Bart should have not been included in that because they were “off-world” when the N52 reboot happened which is the explanation for the 90s/2000s versions to come back basically as they had been, but y’know. Comics.

But anyway, this is bringing up, in case you live under a rock and were unaware, the time when Kon died and Cassie and Tim started dating for a hot second almost entirely because of their shared grief over Kon. Cassie had literally been in a Superboy cult and Tim was in the desperate process of trying to clone him.

You know. Fun times.

Dark Crisis actually has a lot of Kon@Tim stuff. I mean, plenty of the mutual affection still, but Kon is very focused on Tim, whereas Tim is trying to be more logical and, funny enough, listening to Bart.

Everyone forgets Bart is Super Smart, in part because he’s actually naturally clever but has a goober personality, but also because part of his trauma response to getting his kneecap blow off and having to have surgery done with little to no anesthetic because his metabolism burned that shit right out, he literally consumed an entire library. Like, read every single book there at super speed. Boy Knows Things. Plus he’s experienced to much more trauma since then, he’s become a quick thinker (pun always intended).

But you’re not here for my Bartholomew Is Great lecture, you’re here for TimKon!

Coffee Boy Confirmed

Oh, Tim...

All three of them go flying out of a car and Kon grabs Tim, but fuck Bart I guess? Bart brings this up later but it’s still frustrating. Sure, Tim and Kon are besties, but they love Bart. He’s not a third wheel in their friendship. He’s part of it. Just...sigh.

I love “You know I can run, right?” This is just a little glimpse into while Kon’s brain seems almost exclusively reserved for self pity and Tim, and Tim is still very much more focused on Conner, Tim is still paying attention to Bart (even if he doesn’t feel like it). Tim didn’t need to grab Bart at all, but why not?

Again, Kon brushing Bart off entirely, and Tim acknowledging Bart’s point but still showing preference to Kon.

Tim is So Done with these two and it’s so funny.

Also want to note, “process this with Babs later”. Is Babs acting as his therapist? I think she has the training, or at least a degree in psychology? That would actually be kinda sweet.

This seems so much more “ow my heart” out of context...the context is, Kon is being a dick to Bart. Tim ultimately disagrees with Conner, but not enough for Bart to not storm off, as seen below.

For the record, that’s not Cassie. Which is pretty obvious from the jump. But even here...yikes.

This stunned look (which is oddly glassy-eyed and unnerving tbh...) is in direct contrast to his calm understanding when Cassie actually told him, and then when Tim tried to talk to him about it. He was initially like “that’s kinda fucked up, but I get it and I forgive you”. Which...honestly sounds super big and sweet, but he also had pretty much the same reaction to “I was in a Superboy revival cult” and “I tried to clone you 90+ times and considered tossing you in a Lazarus Pit” so...

What I’m saying is Kon, in true Kent fashion, is a himbo.

But this could set off so many trains of thought here. Cassie told him it was out of grief that she did it--Tim never gets to explain his side. But what if it was a grief reaction for Tim? (It was.) Does that mean he was projecting his feelings for Conner onto Cassie? (Probably.) Tim knows he likes boys now, does that mean he liked Conner? (Likely.) Either way, what does Kon do with this?

Okay, this isn’t TimKon, but these boys are so fucking funny. Have I mentioned that I love Tim Drake? Because I love him. (Also reminds me of the time when Bart’s head was fucked up and he thought he was Batman...look, the 90s were weird, okay?)

They just had a fight and Tim’s first move is to stabilize and comfort Conner. Just....aaaaaaaaaaaa

And then we get to the fourth issue...which is probably my favorite because we’re finally in Conner’s head! We’ve been bopping between Bart and Tim until now (and also Cassie and Cissie elsewhere), but nearly this whole comic is Kon’s POV and it’s both hilarious and a little heartbreaking. I...I love him. He is my Favorite.

So, they’re being attacked by a whole fake Justice League and Titans (I see Roy and Kory and Kyle and Donna and--) and Big Bad is fucking with the sound waves. Until Conner is like, “Okay, but what if we didn’t?”

He’s the one who’s been trying to convince the other two that this fake world is okay, that it’s better and they should stay, despite things being noticeably Off, and despite the distinct lack of Jon, Damian, and Wallace. (As far as I know, Bart doesn’t know Wallace too well, but Kon and Jon at least met and got on okay, and Tim and Damian are...well, they’re at a point in their relationship of begrudging respect and affectionate verbal violence rather than, y’know, actual violence). Bart wants to GTFO, and Tim was wishy-washy at first, but at this point is firmly with Bart and wants out. I mean, he started getting Bad Vibes when Fake Batman said him wanting to date Bernard over Stephanie was “just a phase”. I didn’t include that image despite loving it, but Tim’s internal thoughts are, verbatim, “@#$&#&* what?” which can, I would guess, be translated to, “Fucking what?” Tim is very curse-y in this series.

But I’m getting sidetracked. Kon wants to stay, the others want out, and Kon throws a bitch fit.

“The man was too stunned to speak”

Poor Bart, figuratively and literally carrying this fucking team.

Here we go.

Hey. Hey, Conner. Buddy. What the fuck does that mean, man?

I cannot begin to tell you the number of ways this page hurts me. Just...all three of them are so fed up with everything and aaaaaaaaa

And then Bart rightfully goes off.

Like, that’s not quite true, but it sure do be feeling that way right now. And while even in this post I’ve shown just how much both of them can care and pay attention to Bart, they have always been more focused on each other. At first it was because Tim was secretive and Kon thought he had a stick up his ass meanwhile Conner was new to the world and being actively manipulated by people. And then it’s because they’re best friends. Like, heterosexual life partners levels of best friends. Platonic (or not-so-platonic) soulmates levels of best friends. They both consider Bart their best friend too, but they hold each other above pretty much everyone else. Which, after they’ve all lost some footholds in reality with their seniors missing, those small slights feel more pointed and are getting to Bart a lot more. He’s hurting and Tim’s the only one listening, but Tim is favoring Kon and it’s driving him up the wall. All that frustration and resentment come to a head. Hopefully to be resolved.

I’ve made this a Young Justice Boys post instead of just a TimKon post, but I regret nothing!

For the sake of my image limit I haven’t given everything I love about this issue, but even if you don’t read the rest (which is fair, it gives some people Bad Vibes at the start) please read this issue. Conner’s inner monologue is so stupid and so funny and I love him so much.

But anywhozits, proceeding!

I want it noted that Bart was attacked right before this and is held on the ground but Conner immediately goes for Tim. Unbelievable.

I’m, uh, not a fan of Superboy’s face here, but y’know, more him focused on Tim. While Bart is in a similar predicament.

He finally mentions Bart...after he seems to have nearly been able to save himself.

(Yes, the bad guy’s name is Mickey. Yes it’s awful, but that’s the point. I think.)

Now, here’s a big point for me, so I’m breaking down the page.

Mickey-boy conjures up images of new and revised characters (ex. Jon Kent and Harley Quinn) and Tim sees

And the next panel?

He sees Tim looking at the image of his boyfriend...and he changes his tune.

And they they all go off on a speech that’s touching in context but incredibly cheesey out of it. Also a bit obnoxiously meta, but so is this whole storyline.

“What are you gonna do about it, Conner Kent?” I don’t know why that gets me so much but it does.

That’s all for now. Last DCYJ comes out November 15 and I’ll probably edit this post at that point to add what’s in there but I’m impatient and made this whole thing and I need people to love and appreciate these boys.

I made a suit.

It said it should be able to be unrecognizable from each miraculous so I was having trouble getting something in between 😅

The red is iconic for Marinette at this point and I have seen Blue cat! Marinette is a fan favorite so I tried mixing the two without giving away much of either

I made this very late so it's a bit wonky but I really wanted to do something for this au 😁

I unfortunately haven't seen Blue Cat, though it seems I need to...

As far as how I imagined the suit?

When I first created the Double Kwami AU, the idea was that Marinette makes her suits between the two Miraculous look identical regardless of which one she's using. That way, no one would figure that she has two Miraculous, or even WHICH two she's using.

Both Miraculous are based on their respective animals, so I wanted to keep to her having an appearance based on them, but a way for her to interchange between the two seemlessly.

The Black Cat is pretty straight forward. It's based on the Black Cat, so black would be the main color, possibly with some difference in the possible accent color. She doesn't HAVE to use green as the secondary color. She could even keep the outfit as completely black.

But Ladybug...it's pretty specific, so I figured if there'd be any issue, it would be with that one. So I did some research and it turns out that there are such things as black Ladybugs! The Steelbird Ladybug is pretty dark, but under certain lights can appear blue or greenish in tint. Then there's the Twice Stabbed Lady Beetle, which is mostly black with just a couple red dots. And there's even a Yellow Shoulder Ladybug, which is also mostly black except for some yellow on and around its head—which if you think about it, could match a cat's eyes...

Marinette is a designer, so she could certainly find a way to make a suit look that is consistent between the two. Mainly black but with a secondary color or alternatively a sheen depending on which Ladybug she's emulating.

Honestly, I'm still open at this point.

Pretty Woman ✨

HERE'S DA WOMAN!

When I was drawing her I was thinking on giving her more accessories,(I like to give my OC's accessories, lot's of them) I also decided to change her tail and outfit choice, giving her a hanfu (even though it's a bit wonky 🤏), but still kept the color palette. Now she has more style :)

I gave her more freckles too!

And more importantly- SHE HAS A NAME 🎉🎉🎉

When I asked @paluding for help closing the bottom of the dress I was told "I don't think this dress is going to be very animation friendly, so don't bother too much with the bones because it's going to be a nightmare anyway" and let me just say.... nightmare was a HUGE understatement 🤣 I strongly considered scrapping this dress multiple times and maybe I should have. I posted a few videos of how badly it was going. I originally wanted legs & shoes but had to scrap those so there's no legs/shoes. Also, there's a weird line shadow that kept appearing only when my test sim walked in a very specific direction....I was not able to figure out where that was coming from to fix it. Long story short, this dress is good from the waist up and should probably only be used for storytelling purposes. It was very much beyond my abilities. Polycount is 15k.
