Society has moved past the need for "together in the afterlife<33" endings to Elisabeth. Like, if that's your takeaway, why would you produce the show oabfösbgödlf
It's not a story about love, it's a twisted mockery of a love story. Lucheni's narration - because it was always supposed to be that and only that!!!! He is not an objective source of information and that is 900% the point!! - uses the conventions of a love story to make a point. Seeing what happens should horrify the audience, and if it doesnt horrify the audience, the audience should think about it a bit and be horrified upon realising that they've been made to root for something horrible (a relationship that kills and destroys) and possibly even find it sweet or comforting. Goes for Elisatod and Todolf both. Lucheni makes a big old romance or seduction narrative - something we're societally wired to enjoy and root for - stand for a lifelong fascination with death. He's the OG romanticiser. But, at the end, it doesn't work if the audience isn't shown the tangible effects and end results of that narrative, which to me are
Elisabeth's cruelty, bitterness and brokenness throughout act 2 and how she TANGIBLY harms other people in the course of her pursuit of freedom (this could also start in act 1 already, with Milch). In this we can root for her, but the audience should never forget the price paid. It's not that she's evil - far from it - we should almost see her selfishness as the only coping mechanism she has in her situation and be drawn to deeply understand and care for her and hope against hope that she'll reach happiness somehow. Which makes it even more tragic that it does still harm others, and EVEN MORE tragic, awful and uncomfortable that happiness slips from her grasp and she's literally joyful that she's DYING
Elisabeth's death as a "ruined" ending to the show. There's a kiss and the music swells triumphantly, still in keeping with Lucheni's pretense that this is a grand love story, but the audience should be left feeling empty and horrified after it ends. I don't care if it's bad for marketing ajfkdkkf. Tod should PUT HER ON THE FLOOR or otherwise show that after the charade is over, she's dead and her imaginary boyfriend can't save her or accompany her because he's an empty husk that doesn't exist unless she's there to imagine him - or, if Tod is a more real figure, that he doesn't care, or can't care. He cares during her life because she pertains to his fate-assigned task, but afterwards, there's literally no way for him to and no reason to. She's gone to a place he can never know about or follow her to. Or he's just done. I think it's a very grave mistake when the show is directed to have a genuinely triumphant-seeming ending. Death is not REALLY happiness, death is not really freedom, even though Lucheni spends the entire show gaslighting us to think that. If Elisabeth has a happy ending, it becomes a show that legit encourages suicide in a way that no amount of todolf flirting or Mayerling kissing can. (I see people wonder about whether todolf romanticises suicide, but in staged productions, it literally never does. It can't, because Tod never is outright tender with Rudolf, or is implied to stay with Rudolf after Mayerling. At least in European prods - idk if this happens in some of the Asian prods, I don't watch them because I don't like what I've seen of the way zuka, toho or koreabeth are directed ajdkkdkf. I can't believe homophobia is protecting todolf from the romanticisation treatment but I think it is 💀).
Overall.......... like, vbw please, less KKOG and more alle fragen sind gestellt. If you want a sparkly elegant princess love story with lots of drama, banger music and don't mind if there's no actual criticism or metacommentary, just go watch Anastasia 💀 (i mean that one does also have historical criticism, but it's just COMMUNISM BAD, aristocracy GOOD lol. Ajdkkdfb if Elisabeth was written by Lucheni, Anastasia was written by dowager empress Maria Feodorovna lmao)

Most of you don't know me that well, because I don't really do anything on here most of the time. But, I just had a realization about "The Wizard Game", or rather the whole of Harry Potter and why some people are so defensive about it and about Hogwarts Legacy.
People have come to realize this as they've grown older, but they just don't want to admit it. There is only one underlying reason why pre-existing fans of HP are so mad about LGBTQ+ folks not wanting them to buy the game. If you are at all media-savvy, or rather, internet review savvy, you may have sussed out what I'm about to say.
It's not that the game itself is bad, or even that supporting Jowling Kowling Rowling is a bad thing. I'm sure they could accept those things. No, what they are not willing to accept is, and I'm probably going to get a lot more hate for this than if I were to say the series was bad, that Harry Potter is not all that good.
##That's right, Harry Potter series is *MID!*
It's not bad, there are worse children's and young adult fantasy series out there. But here's the thing, the crux. There's plenty of better ones too. But most of the HP fandom probably hasn't read any of them. I bet a lot of the more vocal ones have not read any books other than HP since they first read them. But, they aren't willing to admit to it unless you grill them about it. If they had read more, they would have realized that HP is just okay, it's passable. While there isn't anything majorly wrong with the books on the surface, a lot of the world building etc. is just shallow fluff.
If you are mad about people being mad about HP and HL, do yourself a favor and read something that isn't HP. I recommend Discworld, Death Gate Cycle, Althalus, the Old Kingdom series, even R.A. Salvatore. Or if you want/need to read something more YA, Skulduggery Pleasant, Young Wizards, Percy Jackson... And those are just a few of the that first come to mind. If the only fantasy you've ever read is HP, you really need to read other things, to broaden your horizons.
There's nothing wrong in liking Potter, so long as you are willing to accept that Joanne Rowling is not a good person, she is a TERF. And don't come at me with that "bUt DuMbLeDoRe Is GaY" crap. That has always been lipservice and it doesn't change anything about the story. It's that empty fluff I mentioned above.
I admit, I have never read through all the books or even watched all of the movies. That's because HP never grabbed my interest like other series did, precisely because of how mid it is. There just isn't anything all that interesting or unique about it. It's far from the worst thing I've read or watched, but it's also far from the best.
If this makes you angry, ask yourself why? Why is me calling HP mid such a grand offense? Could it be because I actually have a point?
Also, if you want to play Hogwarts Legacy, but don't want to support Rowling, either pirate it or buy it second hand. The first is preferable, because then she and the devs who support her won't see a dime off of that copy of the game. With the second, they've at least received some support, but __you__ won't directly support her at least.

queer terminology, the basics of the basics
So, i've noticed that a lot of posts about queer identity education start at things like demisexual and xenogender. And that's good! We should be teaching that. But when i was first figuring myself out, i had nothing. I did not know what a "lesbian" was. "gay" meant "stupid", according to my classmates. "LGBT" sounded like a bank name. I didn't even know the word "transgender". i was too scared to look it up; i didn't know what it was, and my experience was all negative, so i guessed it'd bring up something bad.
i spent at least six months on the internet cobbling together a mental glossary until i felt sure enough that this wasn't something terrible to actually look it up. And to this day, i'm so fucking bitter it took investigation and creative search terms and poking around buzzfeed. I know many people who've grown up in extremely conservative households. I had to teach my friend what "lesbian" meant, because to her, it was synonymous with "dirty sinner".
That's a long way to say this is a guide, for anybody that doesn't know what these 'obvious' words mean. Here you go.
(if your first reaction is to reply "this is stupid" or something like that, fuck off. here, we support people who haven't had the privilege of accessing queer education.) (also, if your knee-jerk reaction to a label is "thats fake, everyone feels that"... you're probably that label.)
lesbian: a woman who is sexually and/or romantically attracted to other women.
gay: a man who is sexually and/or romantically attracted to other men. (lesbians also often call themselves gay, as do many people who are attracted to multiple genders.)
bi: a person who is sexually and/or romantically attracted to multiple genders. (sexually is bisexual, romantically is biromantic. if you're both, typically you go by bisexual.)
trans/transgender: a person who's gender in their head is different from the sex of their body. Trans men/boys are people assigned female at birth who's gender is male. trans girls/trans women are people assigned male at birth who's gender is female.
cis/cisgender: not trans. if you're a cis person, your gender in your head is the same as the sex of your body. Most people are cis.
queer: a catch-all term for a person who is LGBTQA+ in some way.
cishet: a catch-all term for a person who is not LGBTQA+. (e.g. they are heteroromantic, heterosexual, cis, and alloromantic allosexual.)
straight/hetero: a person who is sexually and/or romantically attracted to the opposite binary gender. (you can be heterosexual, heteroromantic, or both.) Most people are straight.
asexual/ace: a person who does not feel sexual attraction. they may or may not also be aromantic.
aromantic/aro: a person who does not feel romantic attraction. they may or may not also be asexual.
aromantic asexual/aroace: a person who is both aro and ace (me!).
allo: a person who is not asexual or is not aromantic. (You can be ace and alloromantic or aro and allosexual.)
LGBTQA+: the acronym "lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, asexual/aromantic, and more".
pan: like bi, pan people are sexually and/or romantically attracted to multiple genders. Specifically, all of them, and usually pan people don't have a preference. (You can be pansexual, panromantic, or both.)
nonbinary/genderqueer: some people do not feel like they are either binary gender. They may feel they switch genders, have no gender, are more than one gender, or are only partly a gender. this is called nonbinary because you are not in the gender binary (100% man or 100% woman), or genderqueer because your gender is queered. (I am a genderqueer guy; i feel sort of, but not completely, like a man.)
(note: some nonbinary people call themselves trans, some don't. I personally do, but it varies.)
if anyone has questions or wants me to elaborate, just ask. i promise your questions are important, i promise there are no stupid questions, i promise i will not get angry (even if you accidentally say something offensive! i used to do that all the time), and i promise i will treat your question with care and importance.
Additionally, if you're wondering about another term or experience you saw talked about elsewhere and want to ask, do! I'm always happy to help.

For someone who never watch mha before. Can you explain to me why hate deku x bakugo so much
Oh boy here we go
Spoilers to MHA and the movie Hereos Rising
So I personally have never had an experience with the fandom but from what I've heard the fandom has...very strong opinions on Bakudeku. Apparently some people where sending threats to the creator to make it cannon, take that with a grain of salt I myself just heard about it through posts, but I have no idea if it's true (but with how passionate some fandoms can be, I wouldn't put it past the realm of possibility)
With that in mind lemme say this before I state my opinions: You ship Bakudeku? Good for you! Have fun with that! Your choice to ship what you want
Okay moving on: So Bakugo essentially bullied Deku both when they were kids and when they where in Middle School. Bakugo and his two friends at the time even bullied Deku with the use of their quirks in the middle of a playground. And I don't mean bully as in they name call him in (which Bakugo kinda DOES since he calls him Deku which I believe means useless??) they used their quirks to kick his butt. In Middle School he basically told Deku to unalive himself, but that was only after he called Deku out in the middle of class and had everyone laugh at him, oh and he also threw his notebook out of a window just to add salt to injury. Then when they got to UA during the exam where the students had to work in pairs (Deku and Uraraka vs Bakugo and Iida) Bakugo I wanna say was basically prepared to kill Deku or at least severely injure him. And even when All Might - his teacher - told him to NOT use his new attack Bakugo replied "He'll be fine as long as he dodges" (how the fuck has this kid not been expelled. Like seriously Aizawa quote on quote expelled a whole class at one point Aizawa are you not seeing the problem that needs to be addressed with this kids temper?)
There are probably more parts in the series I can mention but these where the ones that have stuck with me. Now I will say that in the anime, especially in the movie Hereos Rising, Bakugo has gotten better. His development is very drawn out in the series and honestly I can appreciate that from a character perspective, having the development be slow instead of it being spread out over two or three episodes does make the characters more human, as development irl doesn't happen overnight.
That being said...Personally this ship just isn't for me. I see people online constantly saying stuff like "UwU they're in love!" or "Ahh Bakugo is so gay for him!" and Bakugo could literally be screaming in Deku's face, for no reason. Deku just has to exist in his presence and he'll be angry. I dunno at times it just feels like Bakugo is angry at Deku for the sake of being angry, we get it you yell a lot, now shut up. I just don't think I can ever ship this purely for the reason that Bakugo has overstepped MANY lines, there is a line you shouldn't cross, and I feel like Bakugo has crossed that line MULTIPLE times. Oh did I mention he told Deku to unalive himself in Middle School? Did I mention that?? Did I mention it's literally NEVER brought up again??
Sorry I'm still salty over that one
I repeat again: If you ship this, then cool. Good for you. I don't get it, I don't understand it, but I respect it's the internet and regardless of what I think people won't stop shipping it. So..have fun with that I guess

Hi there 🐝💕 Firstly, thank you so much for your amazing blog.
Secondly, I was a fan of SPN many years ago and fell out of it for a while, only having gotten sucked back in after 15×18 (surprise). Back when I was into it before, there was a lot of discussion about Jensen being potentially homophobic, and now I'm noticing that there's been some..... less than awesome stuff said by Misha, too, in terms of the queerbaiting on the show and having only acted Castiel as in love with Dean this past season.
Obviously the content of the show itself proves this wrong, but it still troubles me, and I couldn't find much about it online other than a few posts by people and one con transcript. Do you have any feedback on this, and would you mind sharing it?
(Thank you so much, and no worries if you don't wanna answer, just keep being awesome!)
Hi!
I’ll do my best here, and I’ll try to track down some sources. also, idk if you sent this question to anyone else as well, but if you did, i’m interested to see what they say. if not, i am flattered to be your Trusted Source.
so, first: jensen re homophobia
I could be wrong, but I don’t remember him ever making any kind of “homophobic” comments OUTSIDE OF things regarding destiel that were construed that way by some fans (if i’m wrong, please let me know). I do remember him shutting down destiel comments, etc, and the infamous “?? no” which has since been debunked by the OP as having been taken out of context. (i can’t find the debunking post on my blog but if anyone has it please link!) with the shutting down destiel comments, he was definitely brash at times! but, I do think it’s also important to note that he and misha were explicitly told not to talk about it. and we know that jensen is (or at least especially used to be) a pretty shy guy, and I think destiel questions/comments being shoved in his face in a public setting- when addressing it could get him in trouble with his job- made him nervous and upset.
however, he took a noticeable shift re: destiel in recent years. for one, we know that he gave his blessing for the canon textual confession (again, I can’t find an og post in my absolute mess of late stage supernatural tags, but if anyone has the receipts, please drop them). I could add more of my own personal spec about how jensen shifted his acting choices in light of this information, but I’ll just move on. we know that he was excited about the confession scene. here’s a second post about that.
and re: general homophobia, here’s a post of jackles with pride flags, as well as a 2019 post from his aunt, who is gay. also, this is largely a shitpost, but I saw it in my jackles tag while looking for the above, and it feels relevant, so i’m including it. a little levity before we move on.
now, misha.
I am aware of misha saying two upsetting things in regards to “the confession wasn’t bury your gays, why are you so angry” Again, if there’s more that i’m forgetting, please let me know. The first was in this panel talk (start at 35:50) from November 22. Here is a relevant post about that moment (I also watched the whole panel live and agree with this post.) The second is this video on twitter, and the following thread, from Nov. 25. However, after several fans replied to him explaining why we were so upset, he issued this apology on Nov. 26. I wanted to give you the original link there, but I’m also including a screenshot with a thoughtful and important addition here. And here is a tweet about Misha finding out about The Castiel Project.
i’ve never heard anything about misha only acting cas as in love for the last season exclusively, so I don’t have any posts to expressly debunk it, but I do firmly believe that to be untrue, just based on things misha has let slip over the years
and for both of them, it’s worth noting that whenever they were asked direct questions about the show, they could only do their best to talk around things like queerbaiting, etc, because they obviously couldn’t actively speak out against the show or the network (like this). for example, we know that misha got a couple phone calls from producers on occasions where he toed the line a little too closely, and he commented how you unfortunately have to listen to the people who have the power to kill off your character (immediately following previous clip)
in conclusion
neither of them are homophobic. to the best of my knowledge, neither of them have ever made an outright homophobic comment. and in cases regarding destiel (again, to the best of my knowledge) they have both either changed course or apologized since making any unsavory comments.
there are also WAY more posts on all this that I didn’t include here. if you search the jensen or misha tags on my blog, or probably the blog of just about anyone i follow, you could look into it more
all that said, it’s also important to note that i am Just Some Guy. i did my best to compile this information in a relevant and meaningful way, but i have oversaturated-sponge-adhd-brain that has been actively following this fandom for a decade, and i’m sure some things got lost in there. so to anyone reading this, if i forgot anything critical, please don’t yell at me, i am but a simple internet jester, just like you.
and while we’re here, I’ll say that- while I do think it’s important to keep a critical eye trained everywhere- if we were going to criticize any spn cast members for unsavory comments, these two are certainly not where i would start
tl;dr, ultimately myself and jensen and misha are all Just Some Guy, and none of us know them, but as far as I can figure, they are both genuinely kind and thoughtful people who care about and respect the lgbt community, including their respective characters’ involvement in it and the real world consequences that has
