Ahsoka Tano plays whatever the Star Wars equivalent of Cats & Soup is. Tookas & Soup? Yeah. !!!
(Fives saw it on Anakin’s datapad once and he was ADAMANT that Ahsoka made him download it for her but he absolutely plays it too.) (his datapad has a passcode now.)
bonus: my kind of shoddy DIY shortcut for the game <3

Wendingways' Star Wars fic recs
The vast majority of these are fix-its. Some are time travel/time loop. Most revolve around PT, TCW, and OT characters. A lot are also gen, as it turns out.
The order of the list has nothing to do with how much I enjoyed each fic, because I've enjoyed them all in different ways, for different reasons! Fics that seem to be really popular have been placed toward the bottom of each section, because I'm guessing they already appear on a lot of other rec lists. Aside from that, the order is pretty much random.
*Chapter and word counts may not be up to date. I try to go through once in a while to update the details for WIPS, but it's a lot to keep track of!
Complete multichapter fics
Finding Obi-Wan; T, 86.9k. Obi-Wan, having disappeared from the Jedi Temple, wakes up with no idea who he is or what the Force is and gets pulled into all manner of messes (yes, Hondo gets involved, of course he does), while Anakin refuses to believe he's dead and struggles to find him.
Blood and Copper Oxide; T, 36.3k. "Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader crash land on a planet that shouldn't have existed. Luke can't escape Vader and survive the planet at the same time. Darth Vader can't capture Luke and fight off the innumerable threats the planet sends his way. They might have to work together instead." Very cool story!
The Skywalker Secret; T, 39.8k. Anakin time travels back to the Clone Wars following Endor. The story is told mostly through the eyes of perplexed observers, and has an excellent ending; it's very satisfying and lovely!
Lunches at Anakin's; T, 93.1k. After Endor, thanks to the Force's meddling, Anakin finds himself alive but stuck on Tatooine, where he ends up reluctantly mentoring a Force-sensitive girl. (Technically complete, but part of a series which is not complete.)
(Tooka)Cat Scratch Fever; not rated, 17.7k. Luke adopts a tooka which turns out to be his father, under a curse by Sidious. (I would probably rate this one as T.)
In the Tall Grass; T, 18.5k. "After a failed order 66, in which many Jedi still died but the Sith were defeated, an exiled warrior and a boy wander a distant planet and attempt to get along." This one is so cool, it has such a fairytale feel to it! And there's a sequel!
Shadows of the Future; K+, 129.3k. Obi-Wan dies on Mustafar and is sent back to TPM, where he bonds with Anakin and begins to change the future for the better.
Gut Feeling; T, 7.5k. Amusing little multichapter wherein Piett is assigned a new aide who goes by the name of Lucas Starkiller (who is clearly not Luke Skywalker, definitely not), and from there becomes embroiled in treason.
May Death Find You Alive; T, 11.0k. Anakin gets stuck in a time loop where Obi-Wan keeps dying.
Empire Reimagined; series, T, 341.7k. A saga of Luke, Vader/Anakin, Piett, Veers, and Leia covering from ESB-era to post-ROTJ. Epic friendships abound! (Series not marked complete, but the last completed fic doesn't leave you hanging.)
Mirjahaal; T, 132.8k. Another lovely Wishful fic in the spirit of Empire Reimagined, involving favorite characters and somebody else who's a surprise!
The Exiled; T, 20.1k. "Leia has tried everything to help her baby son. She has turned to every expert on the Force she knows-- all but one. (Ben and Grandpa go camping)" (Visible to registered AO3 users only.)
Cloudy Symbols of High Romance; G, 22.1k. This one's a bit of a relict! Posted pre-AOTC, way back in 2001, it's a cool take on how Anakin and Padmé's AOTC-era reunion happened, and omg, it's so much better than AOTC. It's actually cute, and you can see why they like each other, and man does it make the knowledge of what's coming so much the worse.
Kintsugi; T, 16.7k. Quietly tragic, even though nobody dies and it's broadly a fix-it. Not a comfy fic, but one which is well done.
What Lurks in the Dark; T, 155.4k. "A simple mission to check out an abandoned weapons factory turns into a dangerous fight for survival. Trust is broken, loyalties will be tested, and dark secrets are brought to light. Because sooner or later, the truth always comes out."
The Beauty in the Beast; T, 46.1k. "When the Force decides it's had enough of Darth Vader and wants Anakin Skywalker back, it dumps his long-lost teenage son on his doorstep with an ultimatum: unless Vader renounces the Sith and turns back to the Light within three months, Luke will die."
Sibling Revelry; T, 24.9k. "After Bespin and before Endor, Darth Vader is shocked to discover that Luke and Leia are twins. Especially since Imperial Intelligence just told him that Organa and Skywalker are, erm, a tad closer than previously suspected..." A hilarious comedy of misunderstandings!
The Sith Who Brought Life Day; G, 13.3k. A rather entertaining take on how Vader found out who blew up the Death Star.
This Life of Ours; T, 53.9k. "On the run from the empire and the remaining Jedi alike, Vader must come to terms with his past and his future, all the while learning to care for the boy that is his only connection to his life as Anakin Skywalker." (Visible to registered AO3 users only.)
Teach the Padawan. Save the Galaxy.; series, T, 387.4k. 4 books complete, but the series itself is not complete. Ben Kenobi goes back in time and becomes Obi-Wan's master instead of Qui-Gon.
Legacy; G, 175.5k. Post-ROTJ Luke and Leia time travel to the Clone Wars.
there but for the grace of god; T, 49.2k. Young Luke winds up time traveling to the Clone Wars, where he causes both confusion and conversations that will lead to a brighter future for the TCW crew and the galaxy in general.
Precipice; M, 231.7k. "An AU in which Anakin Skywalker does not follow Mace Windu and the others to Palpatine’s office after they leave to arrest the Chancellor. As a result, he doesn’t get that final push over the edge, and doesn’t Fall." Padmé and Anakin each raise a twin and work to bring Palpatine down.
Don't Look Back; M, series, 533.7k. 2 books complete, 1 in progress. Leia gets sent back to AOTC-era, and omg is she a force to be reckoned with! Very detailed, very political series.
Oneshots
Negative Static Stability; G, 8.1k. Vader and Leia meet when Leia is 5; lessons on the workings of ships ensue, along with some good old Artoo scheming. Adorable!
Palpatine's Greatest Hits II: Imperial Boogaloo; T, 1.3k. Just Palpatine being salty. It's very fun! "Fortress Dramaticus" has got to be one of my favorite bits, coupled with Palpatine's ongoing disgust at its lack of shields and certain people's inability to learn certain lessons. And his disgust at Vader's Kenobi obsession. Okay, the whole thing is great. Go read it!
Dust to Dust; T, 4.7k. "Darth Vader goes back in time. The Galaxy is saved; he is not."
Puppet Kings; series, T-M, 18.8k. Really nicely done, dark oneshot trilogy (complete) about Luke, Vader, & Co. I'm not usually one for horror and tragedy, but I read the first fic in the series and didn't want to stop!
Amelioration; T, 8.2k. "A recently liberated Vader attempts to ameliorate the future by changing the past." A different sort of angle, and an interesting fic!
The Horrendous Space Kablooie; T, 6.2k. "9 year old Anakin wakes up on the Executor. Chaos ensues." Well worth reading! Can't say more because I don't want to spoil anything.
The Agony of Tarkin; G, 4.8k. "An extra in the Imperial Opera Company discovers he has been assigned the role of Darth Vader in its upcoming production of The Agony of Tarkin." Another hilarious fic in the vein of The Sith Who Brought Life Day and Accountant Non-Heroes of the Republic.
Accountant Non-Heroes of the Republic; G, 7.0k. "Palpatine makes a choice to hide his fiscal manoeuvres in the Financial Department. The Financial Department takes advantage of this lack of transparency to do whatever they want. This saved the Republic." It's always fun to watch Palpatine shoot himself in the foot, and all the better when it comes completely out of left field.
Out of Step; T, 4.9k. Nice little oneshot with post OT-era Obi-Wan and Anakin stuck into their TPM-era selves.
FIVE HUNDRED AND ONE THING THE MEMBERS OF THE 501ST LEGION OF THE GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO; T, 4.9k. A hilarious list composed by General Kenobi. I laugh myself silly every time I read this. (Visible to registered AO3 users only.)
501 MORE THINGS THE 501ST ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO; T, 3.4k. A sequel to the 501st list fic, also very funny, although it only has about 250 entries, not 501. (Visible to registered AO3 users only.) Listed with oneshots because the extant 250 entries can be read as a complete list.
Where Have We Come?; T, 2.0k. "The first time was one of the hardest and the easiest. Obi-Wan loses at Mustafar, but instead of dying he wakes up at the dawn of the last day of the republic, doomed to repeat the worst day of his life, over and over again." Time loop!
you drew stars around my scars (but now i'm bleeding); not rated, 1.1k. Post-Twilight of the Apprentice, Ahsoka and Anakin. I'd rate G or T. (Visible to registered AO3 users only.)
still dancing with your ghosts (sleeping with your memories); M, 1.1k. "Everyone knows about the Massacre, and how no Jedi made it out alive. The Jedi refuse to let anyone forget." I do not cry easily at fics. This one made me cry.
The Trick is to Keep Breathing; T, 3.5k. "She's older now, and so is he. Far older now. She wonders: will he have lost any power with his age? Will he be shorter, weaker? An old man on a ventilator? It's hard to imagine that he won't still be dangerous. But then, that's exactly what she's counting on."
Tuning up your TIE-Fighter to prove you’re better than the bastard currently running the TIE-Fighter Program for fun and profit; G, 7.1K. "As a rule, Vader didn't really do anything with his social media account, but then the rant of some kid from Tatooine about the inefficiency of TIE Fighters began trending, the pilots and engineers on the Devastator started fixing their ships and Vader got invested."
Multichapter fics that are incomplete but still appear to be alive as of now
Turning Point; T, 9.8k. After Vader dies on the second Death Star, he's sent back in time to the year 69 BBY, on Naboo, where he picks up an unfortunate barnacle in the person of the teenage Sheev Palpatine. Quite entertaining, and I can't wait to see where it goes!
The Good He Seeks; T, 70.1k. "After killing the Emperor, Darth Vader agreed to serve the fledgling New Republic and destroy the last true-believers of the Empire he had once helped create. But he's living on borrowed time." Though I do enjoy pure fix-its, there's just something that really gets me about fics that are fix-it-ish, but life is messy, the characters are messy, there are no easy answers or perfect solutions, and every positive development really feels earned. So far, this is one of those fics, and I'm loving it!
The Galaxy Revolves at a Million Miles a Day (Around Me); T, 40.7k. After dying on Executor during the battle of Endor, Piett finds himself trapped in a time loop which he must break. I'm a sucker for time loops, and this is such a good one!
The Sleepover to Restore the Republic; T, 56.1k. This many Skywalkers, clones, and associated friends, relatives, and coworkers were never intended to be thrown together, and when they are, boy oh boy. Gloriously chaotic and funny. (Visible to registered AO3 users only.)
Nameless, on the Edge of Nowhere; M, 100.7k. Vader survives ROTJ, but both he and Luke made it out of the second Death Star via random hyperspace jumps in separate ships. After getting by for a time, the not-fully-Sith-but-not-fully-redeemed Vader ends up with the Rebellion, where Leia becomes his handler. Slow build, and a really rewarding read thus far! (Also, I love the OCs in this one; they all feel very natural and vivid, and like people in their own right.)
Multichapter fics/series for those okay with living on the edge (inconsistent updates, long hiatus, or abandoned)
Headaches; T, 31.2K. "When Luke overhears his aunt and uncle arguing, he follows old Ben to Daiyu. Skywalker shenanigans ensues." Oh my goodness, the pure child chaos that is in this fic, it's an excellent time. Hasn't updated in almost a year, but what's there is so good!
Balance on the knife edge; T, 136.6k. After dying on Malachor, Ahsoka time travels back to Mortis, during the Clone Wars.
The Thunder Answered Back; M, 13.1k. "Count Dooku survives his duel with Anakin Skywalker only to wake up as a captive in the Jedi Temple on the evening of Order 66 and the siege. Betrayed, maimed, and surrounded by slaughter on every side, he must choose his path forward - and choose it quickly. RotS AU." Featuring Jocasta Nu.
Synchronous; G, 67.9k. "It's the usual time-entangling fiasco: 'Find the disturbance. Rectify the wrong. Fix the anomaly. Bring balance to the past so the Force may be balanced in the future.' There is a slight miscalculation, however, and Luke Skywalker finds himself in the Clone Wars while having to masquerade in the body of his late father Anakin Skywalker. Leia and Han aren't so helpful either."
In the Midst of Darkness Lays a Sleeping Light; T, 26.0k. Series, wherein Palpatine turns Vader into a dragon. (It goes great for both of them. Totally.) Angsty and enjoyable, and an interesting exploration of dehumanization/rehumanization.
To Set Up a Sith; T, 35.2k. "Teenage Luke tries to help his unwitting Sith father make a friend, with a little help from his ghost mom and the Force." Interesting story with fun and sweet bits, and I'm super curious about how it will turn out if it's ever finished!
like a lazy ocean hugs the shore; T, 10.7k. After Vader kills him, Fox gets stuck in a time loop around the time when Fives is killed.
Living Every Day; T, 82.9k. "When Satine Kryze survives her encounter with Darth Maul, it changes the galaxy. But even more than that, it changes the lives of Obi-Wan Kenobi and the Skywalker family."
Dancing with Ghosts in Your Garden; T, 979.3k. Star Wars PT and TCW characters, but in a Hogwarts setting. It works surprisingly well! There's a little more teenage romance than is my personal preference, but it's a cool AU and quite long if you're looking for a fun, imaginative fic to absolutely bury yourself in for a while. (And it looks like Ahsoka might finally be entering during the next year of the fic!!)
What We've Become; T, 82.0K. "Darth Vader and Ahsoka’s fight on Malachor takes a different path, and Ahsoka actually is able to save her master. Or rather, she’s able to convince him to save himself. Diverges from canon in the last few minutes of Twilight of the Apprentice and goes increasingly AU from there."
better late than never; G, 41.4k. Ahsoka wins at Malachor, Vader redemption fic.
Madhouse Promenade; T, 13.0k. "In a bid to save his new apprentice's life, Darth Sidious siphoned the life force from Padmé Amidala, ultimately killing her. Ten years later, after finding out the truth, Darth Vader finds himself haunted by her ghost, and Padmé finds herself face-to-face with what her husband has become."
Hard Reset; T, 33.4k. "Anakin Skywalker wakes up to his worst nightmare, and he doesn't even know all of it yet." Aka Vader gets amnesia, and Anakin is confused about everything. (Visible to registered AO3 users only.)
The Ghosts on Coruscant; T, 143.6k. After surviving Mustafar and living as a rebel for eight years, Padmé is captured by the Empire, and Vader finds out.
Of Queens, Knights, and Pawns; T, 616.6k. ST-era Leia time travels back to ANH.
Old Man Luke; M, 109.4. ST-era Luke and Leia time travel to the Clone Wars.
Comics (all wips)
Dark Chasm; T, 21 chapters. "On Bespin, the truth is revealed, and Vader bids for Luke to join him. Luke looks down into the dark chasm and makes a choice."
Imperial Babysitters; T, 17 chapters. Cute comic/art series with Luke being raised by Vader, Piett, and Veers.
Our New Hope; T, 57 chapters. "After Ahsoka Tano discovers 12-year-old Luke Skywalker on Tatooine, she takes him under her wing and around the Galaxy. Meanwhile, Darth Vader has found Bail Organa's force-sensitive daughter and has started training her as a Junior Inquisitor. A chance encounter between the twins brings their worlds together."
The Tinies; G, 76 chapters. Cute comic with Vader and Padmé raising Luke and Leia.

7. Discovering they're force sensitive + rex please? 💙 honestly it was this or the tooka ... i had to roll my d20 for this cause i couldnt decide which i wanted to be a thing more lol
So I was also going to use my D20 to decide a few to do, and still might!
So for everyone's beloved Captain Rex -below the break because we get long.
7.Discovering they're force sensitive
-It's discovered when Anakin and Ahsoka "Throw" him. He slows his fall long before they do.
-Ahsoka is FREAKING out. She wants to take him to get his kyber crystal NOW big bro Rex with a lightsaber, sign her up for that. Is basically starting to talk about practicing with him.
-Anakin is on the com immediately trying to get the counsel. Golden boy is going to try to sweet talk them into not only taking a second padawan, but an adult clone trooper.
-"Sirs, we ARE in the middle of a mission..."
-Is very glad for his helmet because the amount of this kind of attention is not something he is used to. Very uncomfortable and very flushed.
-After they finish the mission they question him. "Why didn't you tell us?" "I didn't know."
-Poor guy had only been pushing himself to be a bit better than his brothers didn't realize that he was pulling on the force to do it.
-"He is too old" "Technically he's only 12" "Older than you were, Anakin,"
-Anakin "I do what I want" Skywalker teaches him anyway with Ahsoka's enthusiastic help and Obi Wan's begrudging help.
-Actually listens to Obi Wan more.
-His saber is blue (it has to be 501st blue, it's law)
Tumblr media
Now, because I can
13.Being adopted by a tooka cat
-The small cat wandered onto one of the troop carriers while they were planetside and then wandered out into the corridors of the star destroyer.
-Ends up slipping into Rex's quarters when he enters without him noticing.
-It almost gets shot by him because it startles him while he is working on reports.
-"What do I do with you? I suppose I could give you to the Commander, she'll get you to a safe home."
-Hisses and throws a scratching fit when he tries to hand the cat to Ahsoka.
-The tooka calms when it is able to retreat to it's new favorite spot Rex's Pauldron.
-Is not named until the men start referring to it as Lieutenant Fluff.
-Follows Rex everywhere when they aren't able to be on his shoulder.
-Has to be put into a kennel so they don't try to follow Rex into battle.
-Sleeps curled up next to Rex's head
Thanks!! This was so much fun, I guess I made both more than a few and I probably could have added more to both.

Hi! Would you do e. “Please don’t tell me that’s what I think it is.” With the pronouns she/her for obi wan? Thank you so much (sorry for having to resend, I misread it the first time) 💓
Hi,
No problem at all! Thanks for the request, it seems perfect for Obi-Wan (the poor man just needs a break, doesn't he?)
Hope you'll enjoy.
Love, Charlie

Obi-Wan Kenobi x Fem!Reader
Warnings:
e. "Please don't tell me that's what I think it is."
-------
The thought that this might be a bad idea never even crossed your mind. All you could think of were three pairs of eyes staring up at you, asking you not to tell anyone and to keep the secret. But the logical part of your brain somewhat won over. "Guys, you can't keep a tooka in a supply closet." Those were the first words that left your mouth, and the ones that lead you down this road. Waxer and Boil let out a sigh of relief. They then hurried to make you promise not to tell anyone and reassured you that they would tell Cody when the timing was right. "You know what, I don't really think the timing will be right any time soon. Cody's busy and stressed at the moment, if we make him take care of one more living thing I'm quite sure he'll explode or faint and the med bay is quite full as it is. I'll take it to my room instead and keep it safe." The two clones looked at each other, then down at the tooka in Boil's lap before turning back to you. "You're not gonna tell the General?" Now that was a tough question. You and Obi-Wan were... close. He often came by your quarters in the evening to talk, had done so ever since you joined the 212nd as a civilian medic, though recently you had done a bit more kissing and a bit less talking. Maybe you could manage to keep the talking to a minimum and the kissing to a maximum. You nodded while asking a follow up question at the same time. "What are you gonna do with it once we land on Coruscant?" Waxer shrugged, the expression on his face telling you that they hadn't thought that far ahead yet. "We might give her to Senator Organa. When we escorted him a couple of weeks ago he mentioned wanting a daughter and-" You interrupted him before he could even finish his sentence. "I don't think he was referring to tooka, but rather a human." The tooka in Boil’s lap made a sound that almost sounded offended. You sighed as you bent down to pet the small animal, while the two clones glanced at each other with matching grins on their faces. Maybe you were right about Senator Organa, but the way you treated the tooka with such affection and the feline in return jumped from Boil’s lap to sit down on top of your feet gave them a new idea.  “You know, a supply closet might really not be the best place for a tooka”, Waxer started, referring back to your earlier statement. “Maybe she’d be more comfortable in your room, it’s bigger at least.”  He didn’t even need to ask directly, the thought of taking her back to your room, at least until you could find a permanent home, had crossed your mind as well.  “Alright”, you sighed, trying to keep up a reluctant act.
-------
At first having the little tooka in your room wasn’t so bad. She slept in the little nest of pillows and blankets you had made for her while you finished your reports, but after she woke up the chaos began.  “No, no, no. Get away from there, that’s”, you started, trying to chase her away from her spot on your nightstand where her paw was just centimeters away from the glass of water you kept there. “- breakable...”  In tone with your last word she pushed the full glass down, making it break upon contact with the floor and water flooding the room.  “You really are a lot of trouble, aren’t you? And you never listen, kinda reminds me of someone...”, you mumbled more to yourself than to the tooka as you began mopping the floor with the nearest available item, which happened to be a sock from your laundry basket.  “Don’t we have cleaning droids for that?”, a voice interrupted you.  You sat up immediately, barely avoiding your forehead hitting the night stand.  Obi-Wan had shown up in your room, as he did most nights. His robes were casually thrown across his arm while he looked at you with amusement in his eyes.  The instant you heard his voice you remembered your promise to Waxer and Boil, but that had been before you had agreed to take the tooka back to your room, and way before you had found out how much of a trouble maker she actually was. Just a second later it turned out that you didn’t have to say anything, about why you were drying water off your floor and how it had gotten there, because the feline jumped out of her nest and headed straight for Obi-Wan.  “Please don’t tell me that’s what I think it is”, the Jedi sighed. He tried his best to put on a stern expression, but as soon as he looked at the small tooka you could see affection in his eyes.  “You weren’t supposed to see her”, you mumbled in reply, because even though you knew Obi-Wan didn’t have the heart to throw the tooka out you also knew that he would insist that a spaceship was no place to keep a pet.  As he picked up the small animal and she got settled in his arms he raised an eyebrow at you.  “I wasn’t supposed to see her? How long did you think you could keep this a secret?”  You shrugged. Realistically you should have known it would come out sooner rather than later, but if Waxer and Boil had managed to keep her in a small supply closet anyone could walk into at any given moment for who knew how long, you should have been able to hide the tooka in your room until you reached Coruscant.  “A couple more days, maybe a week.”  Obi-Wan sighed as he sat down on your bed, the tooka still in his arms, He looked at her with the same expression he often had when looking at Anakin or Ahsoka, something you knew was love and the desire to protect those he loved.  “Or maybe she could stay here”, you said, more to yourself than to Obi-Wan.  His attention shifted from the tooka to you as you sat down next to him and began to pet the feline that was beginning to fall asleep again.  “You’ve mentioned that you might want to take on another Padawan, how different could a tooka really be?”  Obi-Wan looked from the tooka to you and back again. He had began to talk about getting another Padawan recently and he had to admit that he longer he held the feline in his arms the fonder he grew of her.  “But a tooka is nothing like a Padawan”, he argued.  You raised your eyebrow at him, a gesture Obi-Wan loved when it was directed at someone else, because it usually meant you would destroy them in an argument, but hated in that moment.  “A tooka, especially this tooka, is no different than your former Padawan, or his Padawan for that matter. She probably listens to you as good as Anakin, gets into as much trouble as him as well, and she’s just as understanding and snippy as Ahsoka. We could even name her Padawan!”  It was the last sentence that caught Obi-Wan’s attention. We. You had never used that word before, at least not when referring to the two of you. Did that mean you wanted there to be a we?  “We could take shifts in caring for her, and I’m sure most of the clones would help as well. She’d have a good life with us.”  You could see that Obi-Wan was still a bit unsure, so you decided to use your charm to your advantage.  “Please, think about it”, you whispered as you leaned closer. So close that your lips were touching his, just a soft and gentle touch, but it made Obi-Wan want more.  “Visiting Padawan would even give you a reason to continue to come to my room late at night”, you said, now pressing a soft kiss against his lips before you continued down to his jaw and then his neck, peppering kisses on every inch of skin you could reach.  “Fine”, he sighed just as your lips met the sweet spot beneath his ear. He could feel your bright smile against his skin, which instantly made him realize that he had made the right decision.  “But we’re not naming her Padawan”, he tried to reason with you. But you just shrugged, that was an argument for another day.
-------
“We’re keeping the tooka”, Boil, a few rooms over, told Waxer.  His brother looked at him, confusion written clearly on his face.  “What makes you say that?”  Boil, with a shit eating grin, sat down next to him on his bed before confessing that he had been listening to the conversation between you and Obi-Wan.  “How did you even know the General would visit her room tonight?”, Waxer asked.  Boil just shrugged. “He’s in there every night. But what’s more important, we’re keeping the tooka. (Y/N) even gave her a name, she’s called Padawan.”  Before Waxer could voice his excitement another voice interrupted their conversation.  “What tooka?”, Cody asked, arms crossed across his chest.  Waxer and Boil looked at each other. Now that General Kenobi knew, surely they could tell Cody as well, right?  “What tooka?”, he repeated, suddenly less sure he even wanted to know the answer to his question.  But before he got an answer Padawan ran into the room and stopped right in front of Cody with a small “meow”.  Apparently you and Obi-Wan had been a bit too busy with each other to notice her escaping your room.
-------
I don’t know why, but this request just screams for a small animal to be included. And can you imagine Obi-Wan with a cat??

star wars au: almost a year into his life on tatooine, an acquaintance of obi-wan’s tells him about the kids that the residents have seen around for a few days. intrigued by this news, he decides to go investigate. after a few hours of looking around, he eventually finds them hiding behind a building. they’re two kids, one looking around seven standard years old and the other five. the older of the two is a togruta male with red skin and white markings across his cheeks and the sides of his forehead. he wasn’t sure why, but the marks gave the boy sort of a tooka look. the younger boy looked to be a clone cadet, with a scar across the bridge of his nose. upon seeing the jedi, the togruta’s fight or flight instinct kicks in and he ends up biting obi-wan.
after getting the kids to calm down, obi-wan explains who he is and asks to hear the kid’s stories. the togruta had been living here alone with his mother, due to her being a past bounty hunter that now wanted peace with her son. months ago, she had some conversation with a stranger that went south, resulting in her getting murdered in front of the boy’s eyes. the boy, knowing these people were seriously bad news, made a run for it and ended up evading them. ever since, he’s been living on the streets and avoiding people who gave off bad vibes. the cadet said he and his brothers had been an experiment. he said the long necks had a “unique” clone that they wanted more of, so they tried seeing if there was anything special in his dna and seeing if they could use it to make more of him. there had only been six successful results. after order 66, the long necks had known they would be killed if their skills were found out, so they sent them away in a ship with an older clone escort. after getting shot down, the ship had crash landed on the planet. the boy was he other survivor. this had been a few weeks ago. the togruta had found him and they had been together ever since.
of course, obi-wan decides to adopt them. mainly because the two kids had been through a lot of pain, like him, and deserved a home, but also because they were force sensitive, and he felt the need to keep them safe from the empire. it takes a while for the two to adjust to their new home but they eventually get the hang of it. the two needed names, so obi-wan spent a few days suggesting names to the two and seeing what ones they liked. the togruta needed a new name just in case and the cadet needed a name that wasn’t a number. obi-wan, remembering the togruta biting him and his calling obi an “old man” quite a few times, suggests the name tano. he ends up really liking it. the cadet is a bit harder, since none of the names seem to stick. eventually, the boy seems to like cleon, much to the jedi’s dismay due to the name’s meaning being all too familiar; glory.
he ends up raising the two as if they were his own and training them in the force. cleon ends up aging normally after obi-wan fixes his advantaged aging with a few sessions of force healing.
obi-wan loves them, but their personalities hit a little too close to home. cleon is so much like cody and other clones from his old battalion. though shy at first, he can quickly warm up to someone and becomes a sweet, lovable goofball. he’s incredibly loyal and desires to help out, and is no above making sassy comments to those he loves. he’s good with a lightsaber but works better with a blaster, being an incredibly good shot. obi-wan suspects the “unique” clone he was created from was cody. obi-wan noticed during their time togther that cody, despite claiming he was a clone, seemed fairly force sensitive. he had never brought it up, so he doesn’t know how the kaminoans would know, but he could see why they would want force sensitive clones. it seems their experiment had been successful.
tano, on the other hand, was like the mix between ahsoka and anakin. he was chaotic, energetic, quick to action, always causing trouble, and a general menace. though the young one was a pain, tano had his sweet moments and obi-wan loved him unconditionally. tano was good with a lightsaber and loved to hear obi-wan’s stories about the war. though cleon loved the stories too, he loved to hear more about the battalion and the antics they got along to. obi-wan hoped he wouldn’t pick up chaotic ideas from tano or the stories. he did not need another waxer or wooley on his hands. he was never going to tell stories about what he heard fives got up to. tano, on the other hand, liked hearing stories about the battles and the jedi. he seemed to most like the stories about ahsoka, anakin, quinlan, and yoda (secretly a chaotic gremlin). whenever he heard about some lightsaber move ahsoka or anakin pulled, he’d practice until he perfected it.
the two kids bring life to the kenobi household and happiness to the jedi’s life. they also adore luke and love to go over to play with him once he’s old enough to.
once cleon turns thirteen and tano turn fifteen, he gives them both their own lightsaber. he found them being sold, with the seller not knowing what they were, and obi immediately bought them. one of them happens to be one of ahsoka’s old lightsabers. the saber instantly becomes fond of tano and ends up becoming his. he doesn’t know who the other lightsaber belonged to, but it soon comes to like cleon. obi-wan was guessing it belonged to the jedi that loved the clones, like plo or aayla.
as the two grow up, obi-wan decides to teach them his own way, not the jedi way. he teaches them how to trust in the force but also how to process and deal with emotions properly. he teaches them that it’s okay to love but to not let it stray into unhealthy emotions like possession. he teaches them his own way and they grow into wonderful jedi. as they grow up, they get their own ambitions and goals. tano wants to find out which jedi remain alive and to learn from them and their stories, as well as reunite them with any friends of theirs that may be alive. cleon wants to help and free the clones that are under the control of the empire, as well as join any rebellion that may be coming. though obi-wan knows he’ll miss the two when they leave, he supports them since he just wants the two to be happy.
he just doesn’t know that his kids will be the reason he’s able to reunite with his old grand padawan ahsoka and old commander cody again. he never knew, but he’s so greatful. he always knew, since the moment he met them, that the kids were going to do great things.

Some information on Grim under the cut
Grim was fourteen years old when she mysteriously appeared in Star Wars from our universe. She had appeared in the middle of a battlefield, she was frozen in shock that she was almost killed but Obi-Wan had saved her. Later when Grim was at a safe place she noticed him drop his lightsaber and used the force to retrieve it and then gave it back to him before going back to where she was hiding. Once the battle was over Grim went to look for the Jedi Master that saved her, having had finally recovered from her shock. Once Grim found him she explained everything, how she was from another universe and knew a lot about the one she was in now having watched many of the films and shows.
After Grim explained everything Obi-Wan decided she should come back with him to Couracant, when they arrived Grim explained everything to the Jedi Council. When asked as to what she wanted to do, Grim replied with how she wanted to prevent several horrible events from happening, however she did not clarify as to what that meant, adding that she could not face the idea of returning home to her universe without helping the one she was in now. After this the Council decided to make her Obi-Wan’s padawan.
As Obi-Wan’s padawan Grim worked hard on preventing Order 66 from taking place, though she couldn’t dedicate all the time she wanted to on this important mission as The Clone Waes was still a thing that was going on, and being the padawan of Obi-Wan Kenobi himself meant that Grim was often going on missions.
Though there was another thing that shifted her focus, and that was her crush on her fellow padawan Ahsoka Tano, and as she was the padawan of Anakin Skywalker this meant that Grim and Ahsoka grew very close. Grim would not admit her feelings though as it was against the Jedi Code to have such attachments and the prevention of Order 66 was more important. As the war dragged on Grim could no longer ignore her feelings and eventually admitted them to Ahsoka, and to Grim’s surprise it turned out Ahsoka shared those feelings so they eventually started going out.
Grim was also very close to the 212th, though at first she shied away from them, afraid of them turning on her during Order 66. Yet as the war went on Grim found herself befriending many of the men. She would even help Waxer and Boil smuggle in a Tooka that they would name Midnight, despite said Tooka being completely white. Grim would also have a close bond with Commander Cody, and the two of them created a game on who could pick up Obi-Wan’s lightsaber more.
Grim and Anakin were also very close, bonding over both having Obi-Wan as their master. Though Anakin would constantly tease Grim about her crush on Ahsoka as well Grim’s short height. (Only five foot) Grim would grow to see Anakin as an older brother, though would sometimes avoid him, knowing he would eventually turn to the dark side and become Darth Vader.
Grim and Obi-Wan would grow to have a bond similar to one of a father and daughter, with Grim sometimes even referring to Obi-Wan as her “space dad”. With Obi-Wan being one of the only few people who knew about Grim’s unique circumstances she was closer to him than anyone else. Whenever Grim would have nightmares she would turn to Obi-Wan for comfort, and safety. Grim would also confide in him the fact that she could not read, as while Basic and English were spoken in the same way they were not written the same, so he would teach her to read.
Grim also wielded a purple lightsaber, with a curved hilt, designed specifically for her to easier hold it in her left hand. There was also two curved edges where the blade would come from, so that she wouldn’t grab the blade by mistake. As it was very common thing for her to just grab it at any point, partly due to her being nerodivergent.
Grim is also incredibly smart for her age, though to balance this out she lacks common sense, and will not always make the smartest of decisions. Grim was also amazing at planning ahead, however following those same plans is another story entirely. She is also incredibly clumsy and trips over things all of the time, so as you can imagine she was horrible at stealth. Not to mention she would speak loudly when talking normally.
Grim also suffered horribly from self-esteem issues, blaming herself and depression to boot. So her mental health is not exactly in the best state, though she does try and hide this fact it fools nobody. Her mental health would only deteriorate as the war went on, and she would eventually become extremely paranoid, as well go on to develop insomnia.
Grim would be extremely sarcastic and be a huge smartass at any point she got the chance, even when it wouldn’t be smart. Grim took pride in angering her enemies, something that Obi-Wan did not exactly approve of, especially when it got her injured. She was also extremely reckless, similar to Anakin, though she was competent from time to time.

Accidentally established Dogma as having some of the best physical balance out of the clones in one of my fics. Any minor but ridiculous “I guess this is a thing now” things in your fics? -MandalorianBrainWeasel
Oooooh there’ve been several that have popped up both in my fic and in the wider sandbox!
Kix watches the equivalent of space daytime BBC.  Taskmaster, Bake Off, Would I Lie To You, though he has a special place for Dancing With The Stars.
Anakin is addicted to game shows, like the daytime TV game shows: Price is Right, old school Match Game, old school $100,00 Pyramid, stuff like that
Dogma likes to fiddle: door knobs, buttons, Tup’s hair, Anakin’s hair, Blockade’s hair, the on/off switch on comm (he has after one memorable incident stopped doing THAT)
(This hasn’t shown up in a fic yet but it’s in a couple of WIPs) Tup isn’t in engineering but has a habit of wandering through and dropping ‘wouldn’t it be cool ifs’ and they all go nuts with possibility.
Ahsoka cheats at cards.
Jesse cheats at all games.
If Wolffe and Cody are left alone off duty for long enough there’s gonna be a friendly spar that’s not gonna stop til someone gets kicked in the face.
Ponds wears rainbow boot liners and has since he was small.  Not a clue who started giving them to him but there you go.
Fox’s potty mouth?  Is that minor?  He single handedly raises the rating of any fic he’s in.
(Not in a fic yet but will come in a WIP soon) Tiplar will take her shoes off every chance she gets.  Doom has a little hook on his belt for if he finds them before Tiplee does.
Barriss cusses like a sailor, but only in battlesign.
Bly cheats at cards.
Obi-Wan cheats at cards.
I don’t know if I have any character playing cards and not cheating.
Neyo is straight up addicted to chocolate pudding.  Do not get between him and chocolate pudding, he will cut you and won’t even really feel very badly about it.
Vaughn types with excessive exclamation points.  He speaks the same way.
99 formats messages like a formal letter
(Not yet in a fic but in the current batch of WIPs most likely to be done the soonest) Bacara is actually hopeless at comm software.  Neyo was the one who programmed his password for him.  He can get the thing wired back up if it gets a blaster bolt through it, but if it freezes on loading screen he’s got nothing.
Neyo doesn’t have a tooka.
In any silly side, whenever there is any animal transformation it will:
Happen to Rex
Probably also happen to Cody
Rex will always be smaller than Cody
Rex will probably be smaller than everyone.
Blockade is tired and undercaffeinated.
Rex Has A Plan For That
except that one time
but he fixed it
he now has an array of thumb-optional plans
Doom is Busy Fighting The War
Still
By himself
Bacara sometimes helps
It’s Disgraceful (TM)
Doom has the least dramatic name of his CC squad
Cody raised Rex
Except when Wolffe did
Ponds helped
Bly was against this plan from the beginning.
Not once has Priority Chat ever actually been shown in fic used for an actual operation.
The Get Along Song!
Do not steal Rex’s ARCs
Rex Bites
Yes, even as an adult
Ahsoka is completely feral.
It’s Rex’s fault.
Jesse helped.
So did Anakin.
The Manual (TM)
Wolffe crochets angrily.
This was minor but then some people took it to entire new post codes: Fox and Neyo were tubies/identical twins
Gree is commonly called in to out-logic the Shebse’s nerd
Bly usually wins
* According to Bly
Fox and Neyo, and to some extent the rest of Edee, are in a competition over who can gift the most obnoxious gift to the other.
Luke is Fox’s rescue pet
Rex disagrees
Torrent backs Rex
Guard backs Fox
Dogma and Blockade are both working in the background to produce maximum chaos.
Mace is secretly a troll.  Lightning all conspires to make sure no one ever suspects.
Ghost conspires to make sure no one believes Rex when he claims Cody is also a troll.
Neyo does NOT have a tooka.
One day, Hardcase is gonna show those Wolfpack guys what for.  Kark those guys.
The Friendly Jedi Hello
Bly loves his wife.  Like a lot.  Have you seen her?  She’s really awesome.  Like, extremely awesome.  Top notch wife.  Now if she would just wear armor...
Shaak is mom.  Shaak is tired mom.  Children need to stop catching porgpox and getting their feet stuck in toilets.
Rex is A Nerd
Despite Bly being the one 17 constantly has to wrestle stolen holopads from
Despite Wolffe paying Doom in snacks to pirate Space Animal Planet
Despite Gree taking apart anything that sits still
Rex is the Nerd
Jesse runs a mousedroid spy network that is second to none.
Ponds Knows.  You owe Ponds a favor.
Bacara’s Luscious Beard (TM)
And freckles.
The Coruscant Guard are Senate Mall Cops
Fox and Ponds.  Just.  Fox and Ponds.
Kix has guns wherever there is space for guns.  The medics are the most heavily armed squad in Torrent.

Grim took pride in angering her enemies, something that Obi-Wan did not exactly approve of, especially when it got her injured. She was also extremely reckless, similar to Anakin, though she was competent from time to time.
When Revenge Of The Sith took place, Grim was an anxious mess. Grim did nothing to change events as she had already felt like there was nothing more she could do. During Order 66, Grim was with Obi-Wan and managed to survive. When she returned to the temple with Obi-Wan and Yoda, Grim broke down in tears. After seeing the recording of Anakin killing the younglings she left to kill him herself, however Anakin defeated her and cut off her arm, though she did manage to survive this as well.
At the rise of the Empire, Grim spent the first three years in hiding with Obi-Wan, going under the name of Rue. Eventually Grim would leave Tantooine and Obi-Wan behind and find another place to live. This place was a moon called Wibom, Wibom shares many qualities to Earth and even has its own seasons, but mainly it's a forest moon with many, many fields and hills. This moon has many creatures that are from Earth, but have slight differences. Wibom also has lots of the same resources of Earth, which is why later on when the Empire discovers it they go to rip the moon for its resources and grow the mighty Empire. Grim gets captured by the Empire when they raid the moon, but before anyone can torture her Grim manages to escape and join the Rebellion.
As a member of the Rebellion, Grim would wear armor similar to that of what Jedi wore in The Clone Wars and fight in many battles. She would stop being as reckless and become more serious. Though despite these changes Grim would still remain a bit of the same, though she wasn’t as reckless as before she still would run right into the action, and if she encountered Vader she would always call him “Vaderkin”. Grim would often listen to Obi-Wan’s final message to the Jedi whenever she felt lonely.

Hullo, you said you’ll take prompts? I’ve never asked anyone here before but could you maybe write Ahsoka and her (too many) parents? Like Plo,who is very wise, anakin and Padmé who she flees to if she needs cuddles, obi wan who she goes to to play strategies games with and maybe if she’s upset (if you want you can also thrown in her visiting Obi because she’s upset and Jango teaches her some fighting stuff and obi shows her how to make it a healthy meditation thing) Just Ahsoka and family fluff
(i uh. accidentally put this in my jangobi fix-it ‘verse ‘cause i’m soft for senator Obi and i hadn’t done anything with Ahsoka yet, and it’s very found family-focussed anyways. Obi just like. collects children. Anakin wasn’t even the first. gonna call this the hunger ‘verse because reasons. sorry this took so long! it super got away from me)
Ahsoka supposes she shouldn’t be surprised that Anakin takes them to Naboo as soon as they drop the clones off on Coruscant, but she’s thankful for it anyways. They haven’t had leave in months, and though she’ll miss Rex and the others, she’s so tired she wants to cry, and would like nothing more than to curl up with Padmé’s handmaidens for a long kriffing while.
And, as if the Force is blessing her for being patient, Obi-Wan is there to greet them in the hangar on Theed with Padmé, rich green robes certainly giving the former Queen a run for her money.
Obi-Wan takes one look at Ahsoka, stumbling down the shuttle ramp, and opens his arms; she takes the invitation full-heartedly and crashes into him despite the numerous guards surrounding the landing party. Chuckling deep in his chest, Obi-Wan wraps himself around her, and his robes are even softer than they look.
“Hello there,” Obi-Wan laughs softly. “Miss me that much?”
She pulls away just enough to smile up at him. “We thought you were still on Coruscant.”
He snorts and pats her head, sending Padmé a good-humoured glare. “I’m quite sure I told Massere Amidala to tell General Skywalker that I would be on Naboo during his leave,” he says, and Padmé laughs, with a hand on Anakin’s elbow to pull him over to join them.
“Senator,” she says loftily, as Anakin rolls his eyes, “you should know better than to trust subspace communications that far into the Outer Rim.”
Ahsoka grins and lets Padmé whisk her away from Obi-Wan to give her a hug of her own. Anakin sniffs jealously, and it’s almost funny how long he’s held onto his puppy crush, especially with Sabé standing just a few yards away with an amused expression. Padmé either doesn’t notice, or ignores it outright, and holds Ahsoka indiscriminately with a soft murmur of,
“It’s good to see you, Snips.”
“You as well, Massere,” she replies happily, sending a smug smile to her master when Padmé kisses the top of her head.
Anakin surprises exactly no one when he rolls his eyes again and loops an arm around Obi-Wan's shoulders; despite his disgruntled expression, Obi-Wan still lets him, and Ahsoka thinks Naboo had been a very good idea indeed.
She finds Obi-Wan in the gardens of the Naberrie household the next morning, where Ruwee and Jobal had been kind enough to house her and Anakin while the Queen sorts out guest quarters in the palace. Apparently her master had given Padmé all of half a cycle's notice before arriving on Naboo, and the court had been wholly unprepared for a war hero to be staying with them.
It's still early enough that the humidity hasn't set in for the day yet, and Ahsoka doesn't bother changing out of her soft sleepwear before joining Obi-Wan in the centre of the garden; there's already a second meditation mat laid out across from where he kneels near a fish pond, with a Togruta focusing crystal sat between them.
She tries not to disturb him as she settles onto the mat, folding her legs into a full-lotus before easing into her own meditation.
Anakin is a good master, and she's thankful to be his padawan, but he can't meditate for kark, and Ahsoka is thankful Obi-Wan is more than happy to fill those needs when they see each other.
Which is more often than she would have expected, considering the war, but if there's one thing Obi-Wan can't do, it's keep out of trouble. The senator is driving Anakin spare, and Ahsoka is all too happy to watch it happen.
She must have projected the thought further than intended, when Obi-Wan's presence brushes against hers in amusement. He never asks to enter her shields, even though she would probably let him if he did, and it still amazes her that someone with so much control could have been sent away by Master Yoda.
She releases her confusion back into the Force and allows the hum of the focussing crystal to draw her back on task. Such thoughts could wait.
They have three ten-days of leave before the GAR wants them back on the front lines, and after the first night, Padmé's Queen sets them up in adjoined chambers in the palace. They aren't the standard guest quarters, which are currently occupied by a few foreign dignitaries — and a “friend”, Padmé had said with a suspicious twinkle in her eye.
But her and Anakin's rooms are in the same hall as Padmé's remaining handmaidens, and Ahsoka doesn't even spend her first night in the palace in her own bed, having stayed up so late talking that they let her stay over.
The next morning, she meditates with Obi-Wan before breakfast, and then spars with Sabé and Rabé; she wonders where Anakin has gotten off to when she doesn’t see him until lunch, because she has it on good authority that Padmé had spent the morning with Obi-Wan.
After reminding herself that it isn’t her job to know where her master is 24/5, Ahsoka takes a nap in one of the courtyards, tucked under a flowering tree and wrapped up in one of Rabé’s cloaks. It’s a little more humid than she’s used to after so many months in space, but the temperature is perfect spring warmth, and she happily loses a few hours there doing absolutely nothing.
The sun is only just beginning to think about setting when she senses someone approaching the courtyard. She reaches out with the Force, hoping it’s Padmé or one of the handmaidens, but she doesn’t recognise the Force signature that stops in the little archway across from her tree.
Frowning, Ahsoka pushes herself up and finds a young boy watching her with brown eyes slanted in suspicion; he’s oddly familiar, for how much darker his skin is than most of the palace Naboo.
“Who’re you?” the boy asks with a slight accent that is decidedly not Nabooian, and a glare that Ahsoka swears she recognises.
“I’m a guest of Padmé and Obi-Wan,” Ahsoka says, noting with surprise that the boy perks up at Obi-Wan’s name.
“Are you a jetii?” he asks. At her confused silence, the boy makes a swishing motion with an arm and Ahsoka has to laugh.
  “Am I a Jedi?”
He nods vigorously and finally steps into the courtyard properly, though he stays several paces away, and she tries not to be disturbed by the blaster strapped to his thigh; they’re at war, after all.
“I’m an apprentice, yes,” she says, trying to look as non-threatening as possible; if he’s a friend of Obi-Wan’s, Force knows where he managed to pick the boy up from. “My name is Ahsoka.”
“I’m Boba. Are you a general?”
He inches closer as Ahsoka laughs again. “No, but my master is!”
Boba perks up even further, but it doesn’t click for her until he excitedly asks, “You fight with the vode?”
Well, when you lay it out that obviously for her.
  “You— You’re Jango Fett’s kid?”
His smile immediately disappears back into that glare that of course looks familiar, she’s seen it hundreds of times on the faces of her men— “Why do you say his name like that.”
“Um, no reason,” she quickly amends. “I was just surprised. A lot of my troopers have mentioned him, but I’ve never met him.”
“Obi’s still mad at him about the vode, he tries not to get involved.”
Ahsoka frowns, at both the nickname (he never lets her call him ‘Obi’), and the implication that Obi-Wan has known him that long. She had always thought he only got involved in the war because of Anakin, but if he personally knew Fett...? It certainly raises more questions than answers.
“Are you here to visit Obi-Wan, then?” she asks, instead of any of those questions, and is pleased to see Boba start to relax again.
“Yeah, buir was helping him with something. I don’t know what, though, I wasn’t allowed on that mission.” He scrunches his face cutely, and Ahsoka laughs as she gets to her feet; if her quick math is right, he can’t be older than eleven, though she still isn’t clear on the clones’ aging cycle.
With this in mind, she doesn’t offer her hand as she would to the temple younglings, but still smiles down at him and gestures for the hall. “You wanna go find Obi-Wan and ask, then? I’ll teach you how to give him tooka-eyes until he can’t say no.”
Boba gets a sly little smirk then, and Ahsoka wonders if she won’t instead be learning from him. Force, Naboo had been a great idea.
Mando’a— jetii: singular jedi vode: brothers/comrades, specifically the clone troops buir: parent
Other— massere: gender neutral address of high respect, specifically those in government or of cultural importance

Not special, a little Star Wars fic
Hey @jubblesbubbles, remember when you told me I should write a Dex/Obi-Wan, when I was doing the extra rair pairing writing stuff? And I didn’t write it, because there already are Dex/Obi-Wan stories, it wasn’t inexistant?
It’s very very light on romance to be honest I’m not happy with it, but Padme invited herself and then refused to leave!
Also, I totally forgot you wanted Rebellion in this and I killed Palpy, my bad.
Not all loves are planet-burning fires. Not all love are life-changing, taking everything else with them when finished.
Not all love can push someone to burn the Republic down and to put a hand in genocide, just to be sure a certain Senator who may or may not die in childbirth wouldn’t.
Or perhaps, simply, a love for which you would murder children, change good men into automaton and destroy democracy was not really a love, simply a twisted, gnarled thing.
Anakin Skywalker was more in love with the idea of Padme Amidala than with Padme herself, and as the world is slowly rebuilding itself, it’s a hard pill to swallow for poor Padme. She is very, very, very aware of what a close call it was.
Hundreds of Jedi are dead, a lot of clones put a blaster in their mouths once they were free of the chip, the entire political system will have to be remade from scratch to be sure nothing like Palpatine rise to power is possible again, and the consequences of the war pushed billions of people into exile, poverty and other horrors.
Padme herself is facing the possibility of jail-time: stripped of her rank, she’s in deep trouble on Naboo, between the people thinking she was in collusion with Palpatine, the people thinking she was too busy frolicking around with her Jedi to do her job and stop Palpatine, the people thinking she was in collusion with Anakin herself…. Her friends are throwing their weight around trying to help, and her parents found her a very good lawyer, but she will be happy if she escape that only with community service. She probably will have to thank the Jedi in general for that, who refused the numerous solicitations from the throne of Naboo to pursue Padme from marrying Anakin when he was a minor, and Obi-Wan in particular, who bore witness of Anakin’s attack of Padme and stood firm in his defence of the young woman.
It’s making Padme deeply uncomfortable. She thinks of Obi-Wan as a friend, a friend she lied to for years, again and again, and who saved her life on Mustafar when he killed Anakin, while Master Yoda saved the Republic when he killed Palpatine.
He even found her a place to stay, when she didn’t want to stay with any of her political friends, not ready to burn their careers by her simple contact as she had burned her own, and didn’t want to go back to Naboo.
It’s a very small apartment, right above a dinner, in a part of Coruscant she never would have visited when she was a Senator. The diner’s owner is male Besalik, who cooks in the dinner and live in the other small apartment above the dinner. He’s very friendly, always ready to babysit the twin when she has an errand to run.
He’s also the lover of Obi-Wan, who she sometimes meet in the stairs late in the night or very early in the morning. He always look drained when he arrives: Yoda succumbed to his wounds after the fight with Sidious and there are not enough Jedi left, all of them, the survivors of the few days Order 66 was implemented, exhausted, working themselves to the bone, trying to heal a galaxy which in their time of need didn’t come to their help. Trying to rebuild for people who let them, with a few exceptions like Bail Organa, be gunned down.
She wanted to tear the Jedi Master’s eyes out, in the beginning. If he had told Anakin…how dare he, when Anakin was dead, worse than dead, dead and his name spat on all across the galaxy.
One day, as she is thanking Dex for another afternoon of kid-sitting, it’s the Besalik who address the issue.
“Anakin knew.”
“But-He would have told me!”
“Told you what? That his former Master had a lover? Someone Obi-Wan would leave for months, years, if necessary, to do his duty.” The Besalik had sadly shaken his massive head.
“Anakin never thought Obi-Wan loved me. It didn’t count, in his eyes.”
“Why?”
“Because I’m not a pretty young woman like you? Because Obi-Wan would let me die if he had a choice between me and an innocent life? Because Obi-Wan will only give me the morsels he can, and keep his duty in his heart? Who knew what Anakin thought? He saw Obi-Wan wouldn’t break every rule for me, would love me without keeping me, and for Anakin, it wasn’t love. Not burning enough. Not big enough. Obi-Wan loves me as Jedi should, without possessing, and for Anakin, that’s not love. ”
He pats her shoulder, his hand dwarfing it.
“You have two tadpoles, now. You can’t stay thinking of what was, what could have been.”
“You sound like Master Yoda.”
She bit her lips. For years, she had nodded and believed Anakin when the younger man presented Yoda as an obstacle to overcome. Now that the little Jedi had died saving what could be, she felt guilty, and angry, and quite possibly very lost.
“It’s not good for you, to stay in your apartment reviewing your case and thinking of the past,” he continued, “and I won’t advise you to meditate, like Obi-Wan probably would if you stopped evading each other like two tookas who share the same territory but are not ready to fight it out.”
“What will you advice, then?”
“Come to the dinner. I can’t offer a big salary, just an honest one. It won’t change the world, but people will be feed and it will give you a stepping stone to rebuild. Probably won’t buy a Naboo pretty palace with it, but you will feed your kids with your own money, not something from Senator Amidala than the Naboo Queen can freeze or seize, with the trial, or something that your family give you. And the people…It’s good, to see people happy after a good meal.”
He shrugs, and it’s like an earthquake on his abundant flesh.
She takes the job.
Years later, after Obi-Wan has been killed on mission, Dex retires to his home world and leave the dinner to Padme. She looks around, suddenly realizing how many years have passed.
And they were peaceful and not at all an encompassing fire of burning passion, and her children are happy and, more or less, well-adjusted. Not the powerful people Anakin would have wanted them to be, capable of changing the galaxy, just a professor in the lower levels, working in one of the programmes against illiteracy created by Chancellor Organa, for Luke, and a cargo pilot for Leia.
It’s not special.
Anakin would hate that.
Padme shrugs and go back to the ledgers of the dinner.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Episode 1 Easter Eggs Explained
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This Star Wars: The Bad Batch article contains spoilers.
While the Star Wars Original Trilogy has been explored thoroughly for more than 40 years, the period between the Prequels and the Originals is less well-trodden. Following in The Clone Wars and Rebels‘ footsteps, The Bad Batch takes a deep dive into the rise of the Empire. This means we get to see familiar characters, planets, ships, and technology in a moment of transition, as a Republic becomes something more twisted and sinister in the hands of the Sith.
Unsurprisingly, “Aftermath,” which is directed by Steward Lee, Saul Ruiz, and Nathaniel Villanova, and written by Jennifer Corbett and Dave Filoni, is full of connections and nods to other parts of the Star Wars universe.
Here are all of the Star Wars easter eggs and references we spotted in this episode:
Caleb Dume/Kanan Jarrus
– Jedi Kanan Jarrus was introduced and starred in the animated series Star Wars Rebels, where he was a maverick Force-user fighting for the good guys while rediscovering what it means to be a Jedi in a time when they’re persecuted. His previous name, before he changed it to hide from the Empire, was Caleb Dume.
Stream your Star Wars favorites right here!
– The character’s origin story was first explored in the 12-issue Marvel comic book series Kanan by Greg Weisman and Pepe Larraz. While “Aftermath” only gives us the very early part of this story, the comic series goes into way more detail about how Caleb eventually became Rebel hero Kanan Jarrus.
Interestingly enough, The Bad Batch‘s version of events is slightly different to the opening of Kanan. However, the broad strokes are the same, including the presence of his Jedi Master Depa Billaba. In the comic, Caleb, Depa, and their clone troopers are resting around a fire when the Order 66 call comes in, not fully engaged in battle as they are in The Bad Batch. In both, master and Padawan become separated such that Caleb doesn’t know what became of Depa, which enables an early plot point for Rebels.
– Kanan is once again voiced by well-loved Star Wars voice actor Freddy Prinze Jr.
Omega
– Since she was first introduced in the trailers, mysterious new clone character Omega has been the subject of much speculation. Is she a new kind of clone? Does her name signify that she’s the final clone? No to the latter, since we see Tarkin examining a lab growing more clones in the episode.
But what we do know is that she’s the last of the enhanced clones. Like Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, and Crosshair, she was born a bit different, and we see that she’s ostracized by the other clones for it. The episode also suggests that Omega’s “genetic mutation” might be something the Kaminoans are trying to keep a secret. On the surface, she is simply Lama Su’s “medical assistant.” The locket on her head contains something of importance, but we don’t yet know what is.
– Omega is voiced by New Zealand actor Michelle Ang, whom you’ve previously seen on Fear the Walking Dead, The Twilight Zone, and Xena: Warrior Princess.
Order 66 and Revenge of the Sith
– “Aftermath” overlaps with events first established in Revenge of the Sith. The episode mentions Obi-Wan Kenobi’s final fight with General Grievous on Utapau, and even recreates part of the scene where Palpatine creates the Galactic Empire. Based on this timeline, we know the first episode of The Bad Batch also takes place around the same time as the series finale of The Clone Wars.
– The episode also directly addresses Order 66 and its aftermath. Order 66, which saw the Clone Army turn on and exterminate their Jedi commanders, is one of the most tragic events of the Star Wars saga. We wrote way more about Order 66 and how it worked here.
– The inhibitor chips that force the clones to execute Order 66 and become more aggressive in the aftermath don’t affect Hunter, Tech, Echo, Wrecker, or Omega. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for team sniper Crosshair, who quickly turns into the villain of the episode, as he tries to first kill Caleb and later betrays his friends at Tarkin’s behest. These control chips were explored in season six of The Clone Wars. Clone trooper Fives discovered their true nature but was killed before he could foil Palpatine’s plan. Captain Rex and Ahsoka Tano also discovered the chips and removed Rex’s in the final arc of season seven.
Shaak Ti’s Lightsaber?
One of the darkest scenes in the episode happens when the Bad Batch arrive back on Kamino. As they’re walking through the halls of their base, a group of clones pass by carrying a stretcher, a dead Jedi’s body covered by a sheet. Out of the stretcher falls a lightsaber, which some fans have speculated belongs to Jedi Master Shaak Ti, who died on Coruscant during Order 66.
The lightsaber doesn’t really look like Shaak Ti’s, but we don’t know who else might be in that stretcher. Let us know what you think in the comments!
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
Kamino and the Clones
– The Bad Batch are also known as Clone Force 99, named after 99, a clone with “genetic mutations” who eventually gave his life in the war.
– Kaminoan Prime Minister Lama Su and administrative aide Taun We both appeared in Attack of the Clones as representative of the cloning industry, while Scientist/doctor Nala Se debuted on The Clone Wars. Their primary motive in their conflict with Tarkin in The Bad Batch is financial, but it does seem like Nala Se might also be trying to protect Omega.
– They’re still making young clones, as evidenced by the kids visible in the background. It’s unknown whether Omega ages at a normal rate or has the accelerated growth that brings most of the clones up to fighting form unnaturally fast.
– We see many different ranks and roles among the clones in this episode, including the green-armored sergeants and red-armored captains.
– In one scene, we see clones working on an E-Web heavy repeating blaster, which appears throughout the franchise, and was recently called out by name in The Mandalorian.
J-19 and Other Locations
– The Bad Batch come up with a plan to meet an old friend in Sector J-19. That sector is also known as the Suolriep sector, which is largely populated by desolate planets. Unsurprisingly, it is located in the Outer Rim of the galaxy. The sector first appeared in Revenge of the Sith and The Clone Wars.
– While Kamino is front and center here, the episode also visits the lush (and dangerous) jungle world of Onderon, Kaller, and briefly mentions Felucia, a beautiful planet that first appeared in Revenge of the Sith during the grim Order 66 montage.
Other Cameos
– Wilhuff Tarkin, later Grand Moff, has appeared in animated form before. He showed up in The Clone Wars and Rebels. Whether his CGI iteration in Rogue One counts as animation may be up for debate, but he’s certainly there.
The villain first appeared in A New Hope, where famous horror actor Peter Cushing played the man who “held Vader’s leash.”
– Saw Gerrera, who also appeared in Rogue One, The Clone Wars, and Rebels, is a radical freedom fighter who will go on to have a tenuous but helpful relationship with the mainstream Rebel Alliance. He previously helped his home planet of Onderon shake off Separatist rule with Republic help.
– Darth Sidious appears briefly in a hologram, as he declares the formation of “the first Galactic Empire, for a safer and secure society.”
– Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and General Grievous all appear in flashbacks in the episode.
– Grey is the clone commander who executes Order 66 at the start of the episode, killing Depa Billaba and attempting to do the same with Caleb. He first appeared in the Kanan comic series.
– Comic relief medical droid AZI-345211896246498721347 first appeared in The Clone Wars.
Ships and Technology
– The Imperial probe droid that stalks Clone Force 99 in the episode is derived from the Republic ones also seen in The Clone Wars. They’re already more outwardly ominous by the time of The Bad Batch, with more oddly-placed eyes and insectoid limbs instead of the rounder Republic version.
– The Batch’s ship is a modified Omicron-class attack shuttle named the Havoc Marauder.
Creatures
– Wrecker’s stuffed animal is a tooka, the cat-like species of which the Loth-cat that features often in Star Wars Rebels is one variety. They first appeared in The Clone Wars (also several cat-like species mentioned in various corners of the Expanded Universe preceded them) and were named after Star Wars animation executive producer Dave Filoni’s late cat.
– At one point, you can also see a Pikobi, a half-reptilian and half-bird species native to Onderon, Naboo, and Dagobah. The Pikobi first appeared in The Phantom Menace.

Headcanons I have for the au where Anakin didn’t slaughter all the sand people, but did defend himself, and left the Jedi Order after the Battle of Geonosis:
He establishes a good relationship with his step father and step brother and considers them his family. He does visit them from time to time throughout his life.
He ends up establishing his own droid repair shop on Coruscant with Padme’s help. His business flourishes, especially during the Clone Wars. He ends up having several apprentices who were either orphans in the lower levels or Coruscant or Jedi younglings who never were able to become padawans and decided to leave the Jedi Order instead of joining on Jedi Corps or freed slaves. He later establishes a second shop on Naboo.
He and Padme get married like a year later than in canon because they had to make preparation. You know their wedding was fabulous and romantic.
Padme’s (and Anakin’s once they get married) nieces were the flower girls at their wedding.
I imagine he and Padme got married on Naboo.
Cleigg and Owen Lars and Beru (still Whitesun) were invited to the wedding and came.
His and Padme’s marriage is healthy and loving.
He helps Padme and her friends (former hand maidens) free slaves from non-Republic planets.
Anakin earns the nick name of the Senator’s husband, which he loves. He becomes well known for being supportive of his wife and treating her as an equal and even willing to listen to her practice her speeches before she says them on the Senate floor.
At some points during the Clone Wars, he works as a pilot under Padme’s friend, Senator Bail Organa, to help deliver supply and help planets torn apart by the War. He also helps Naboo with their relief missions as well.
Probably at some point, the Jedi Order does recruit him as a soldier to fight for them.
He and Obi-Wan do reconnect.
I will leave this up to Obi-Wans, of course, but possibly Obi-Wan takes on Ahsoka as his next padawan learner or potentially follows Anakin’s example and leaves the Jedi Order to be with Satine. If Obi-Wan does go to be with Satine and Anakin and he maintain a friendship, Anakin would totally visit Mandalore from time to time
Anakin and Padme get invited to Owen and Beru’s wedding and attend.
After several years of marriage, he and Padme becomes pregnant with Luke and Leia. Since Anakin is not in the Jedi Order, they obviously don’t have to hide their marriage, much less that they are having a child together. This also enables Padme to have regular check ups and prenatal care. I imagine that Anakin can sense the twins, but at times, it feels like two lights and others one. They get the confirmation that they are having twins during one of Padme’s check ups.
They relocate to the lake house on Naboo just before the twins are born.
Luke and Leia are born on Naboo and Anakin cried tears of joy when they were born.
Since the twins are Force sensitive, they could communicate instinctually through the Force to their parents their needs, which honestly made them relatively easy babies to care for.
I’ll leave it up to the Padme, but after Luke and Leia, they could have more kids.
They do get a visit from the Jedi Order so that they Jedi could take the Skywalkers kids to train them. Padme and Anakin flat out refuse, deciding that their children should be old enough to make a decision to be a Jedi on their own. Also, the Order wouldn’t risk kidnapping the Skywalker kids because they don’t want to look bad and Padme and Anakin are too well known at this point.
I imagine that Owen and Beru had a child or two together of their own and Anakin and Padme bring their kids to Tatooine to visit their cousins.
Anakin also helps his step father, step brother, and step sister-in-law when they need help paying the water taxes.
The Skywalker family was there for the funeral of Cleigg Lars.
At some point, they adopt a Tooka cat or two that they found on the streets of Coruscant.
Anakin is the kind of husband and father who carries around holos of his family to show to people.
Anakin teaches all of his kids how to build and repair droids and fly.
He and Padme totally frame and put up their kids’ art work.
At one point when the twins were kids, the family went all over Naboo to see every single waterfall because Anakin likes waterfalls. This also served as a study to know how many waterfalls there are on Naboo and where they are located.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 5 Easter Eggs Explained
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
The Mandalorian brings a fan-favorite Jedi from Star Wars animation to live action in “The Jedi,” which takes us to the wasteland planet of Corvus, where an Imperial warlord rules with an iron fist. Along the way, we learn more about Baby Yoda’s origin as well as where the show might be headed. We also get some pretty neat callbacks to the classic films of Japanese auteur Akira Kurosawa.
Here are all of the easter eggs and Star Wars references we’ve found in “The Jedi” so far:
Ahsoka Tano
– Fan-favorite Jedi hero Ahsoka Tano finally makes her live action debut in “The Jedi.” She’s played by Rosario Dawson here. As if she simply leapt out of the animated series and onto The Mandalorian, Ahsoka looks almost exactly like she did on Rebels, wearing similar attire and armed with the white lightsabers she used before the Galactic Civil War. You can even see the weapons have their signature curved hilts!
You can read way more about Ahsoka’s return and what it means for the show here.
Stream your Star Wars favorites right here!
– At one point in the episode, you’ll spot Morai, the mystical convor that watched over Ahsoka in The Clone Wars and Rebels, sitting on a branch while the Jedi walks through the dead forest outside of Calodan. You can read way more about who Morai is here.
– At one point, Ahsoka explains the Force is “an energy field created by all living things,” which are the same exact words Obi-Wan Kenobi said to Luke Skywalker in A New Hope.
– Mando calls Ahsoka’s lightsaber a “laser sword,” a common misnomer for the weapon.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
Baby Yoda/Grogu
The Child formerly dubbed “Baby Yoda” now has an actual name. It’s Grogu. We learn in the episode that Grogu was once a youngling training to become a Jedi in the temple on Coruscant before Order 66 forced him to go into hiding. He has spent the decades since then hiding his powers so as to not attract those who would love nothing more than to kill him like the rest of the Jedi.
You can read more about Grogu’s backstory here.
Tython and the Jedi
– Ahsoka tells Mando that he must take Grogu to the ruins of a Jedi temple on the planet Tython, a mystical location first introduced in Legends canon as the birthplace of the Jedi Order. It was the setting of the Dawn of the Jedi comic book series by John Ostrander and Jan Duursema. Read more about Tython here.
– There are several references to other Jedi lore, such as the Jedi Temple of Coruscant, the Jedi Purge, Anakin Skywalker, and Master Yoda. You know what all of those things are.
Calodan and Corvus
– We mentioned this in the easter egg guide for “The Heiress” but it bears repeating here: this is the first appearance of Corvus and the city of Calodan in the franchise. But as some people pointed out after that episode aired, “Calodan” could be a reference to Caladan, the planet that serves as the ancestral home of House Atreides in Dune. “Corvus” could also be a nod to Alpha Corvus, another planet mentioned in the Dune novels.
– As the Razor Crest zooms past Calodan while searching for a place to land, one of the soldiers scans the ship just like the Rebel sentry did with the Millennium Falcon on Yavin in A New Hope. It looks like the exact same shot.
– Many of the archways in the city are reminiscent of the ones found in old samurai films but also ones drawn by concept artist Ralph McQuarrie for the Original Trilogy.
Grand Admiral Thrawn
We learn in the episode that Ahsoka is looking for Grand Admiral Thrawn, the Chiss Imperial villain who first debuted in the famous 1991 Legends novel Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn. Since then, he’s appeared in countless books and was officially re-canonized in 2016 as one of the main villains of Rebels.
Thrawn was last seen in the Rebels finale, disappearing during the Liberation of Lothal while fighting Ezra Bridger. Ahsoka hopes that finding Thrawn will also lead her to Ezra, a Jedi apprentice whom she still holds dear all these years later.
Akira Kurosawa and Japanese Films
– Eagle-eyed viewers will undoubtedly note that this episode is heavily inspired by classic samurai films such as Akira Kurosawa’s Yojimbo, which Filoni mines for the basic plot of “The Jedi.” Here, Mando kind of plays the role of Toshiro Mifune’s wandering ronin, while Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth and Ahsoka fight for the fate of Calodan like the crime lords did in Kurosawa’s film.
– Some people have pointed out that Grogu’s trial in the episode — to take first a stone and then a metal cylinder with the Force — is a reference to the test Ogami Ittō administers to little Daigorō in the 1970 manga Lone Wolf and Cub. In the book, Ogami Ittō asks one-year-old Daigorō to choose between a ball and a sword. If he chooses the sword, Daigorō will be taught the way of the ronin, but if he picks the ball, Ogami Ittō will kill him and spare him a life of violence.
If the stone is meant to be a weapon and the cylinder is the ball, then the reference kind of tracks. Grogu refuses to use the Force to call the stone to him but does take the cylinder. This is not really why Ahsoka decides not to train Grogu, but there does seem to be some connection.
You can read way more about how Lone Wolf and Cub inspired The Mandalorian here.
Cameos and Other References
– Michael Biehn plays Lang, Magistrate Elsbeth’s top enforcer in Calodan. You probably recognize the actor from Aliens and The Terminator. He also appeared in Planet Terror, the Robert Rodriguez portion of the double feature Grindhouse. Rodriguez actually directed an episode of The Mandalorian season 2.
– Morgan Elsbeth is played by Diana Lee Inosanto, an accomplished martial artist, stuntwoman, stunt coordinator, and actor. You can read more about Inosanto and her character here.
– Elsbeth’s fills out her army with assassin droids. These particular units are HK-87 models, a reference to the inimitable HK-47, a foul-mouthed Jedi hunting assassin droid introduced in the Knights of the Old Republic video game. Unfortunately, his successors don’t seem to speak Basic, which means we never hear them call anyone a “meatbag.”
– Elsbeth’s soldiers are armed with A350 blaster rifles, which appear for the first time in this episode. This model may be a successor to the A-300 blaster rifle used by the Rebels in Rogue One.
– You’ll spot tookas running around Corvus. These space cats first appeared in The Clone Wars.
