Hey have a fun AU I came up with the other day after reading a bunch of fics with related tropes
It's a raised Sith AU. Anakin was found by Sidious well before he was found by Qui-Gon. He was raised by the Sith, is a classically horrible monster stalking about TCW to be Vader (mask and all, just as an intimidation factor instead of life support) while Ventress and Grievous and Dooku do their own things in a different section of the war. He's got a Really Fucking Weird dynamic with Obi-Wan, mostly attempting to kill him etc.
At some point, Palpatine allows Anakin and Padme to meet. The romance that blooms is one that Sheev decides is useful to him, so he lets it happen.*
Padme gets pregnant. Sidious arranges for her death. Anakin loses his entire shit and tries to kill Sidious. Obi-Wan is off trying to save Padme, unaware of Anakin getting his remaining limbs cut off by his this-universe Master. (This is important, because Anakin does remember Obi-Wan trying to save Padme.)
So we have Anakin, who was raised Sith, and just lost the only things that have mattered to him since his mom died when he was a kid, and Palpatine has pushed him further into the Dark than he ever has. Anakin… knows more about the Sith Secrets in this universe.
Anakin finds a Sithly Time Machine. Maybe on Malachor. There's an owl? Whatever.
Anakin, someone who's been Vader for the vast majority of his life, wakes up at age nine. Maybe even younger, like six. His mother is already dead at Sidious's hands. He's already roommates with Maul. He's already being trained as a baby Sith.
Anakin, being a 20 year old war veteran, is much better at escaping than Sidious has planned for. He reprograms a medical droid to take out his slave chip, steals a ship, etc. All the stuff that Maul wasn't very good at, and Anakin was too young for, so Sidious didn't have the preventative measures in place for yet.
Anakin heads for the one place and person he thinks he can trust: Obi-Wan Kenobi.
(Obi-Wan is still a padawan. But this Baby Sith just declared him Adoptive Teen Dad, so.)
@lizasweetling (all indented bits from here will be hers):
Because Sith. Bad for mental health of the user and generally bad for their environs But also baby. And if hes dragging Maul around no doubt the dude is constantly himself confused why he is here Like yeah, Sidious sucked, and this 6-9yo is way powerful and knowledgeable on the dark side (?????) But why are we going to the Jedi? And not even trying to kill them apparently?????
Anakin is very much being affected by Baby Brain and Baby Endocrine System. He cries a lot more than he should.
I WASN'T THINKING OF HIM BRINGING MAUL BUT YEAH. THAT'S. THAT'S A POSSIBILITY.
Jedi Council trying to decide if this is more "Adult Sith got shrunk" or "child got evil man's memories." Vader wants to know why it even MATTERS. (He didn't actually plan on telling them, but he has very little self control right now.)
The first Good Act he does is tell them where to find Ventress and Ky. (In the original timeline, he viewed Ventress as like. Cool older cousin.)
Vader's right, that distinction does not matter Aaaw, she deserves that, that's nice Maybe she will be like 20% less homocidally traumatized
Anakin is furious when Maul and Obi-Wan pick him up under one arm like a package. He is a GROWN MAN he is an ADULT he was a SITH LORD and about to be a FATHER, he is TOO OLD FOR THIS.
They point out that he is Baby.
😂 sorry lord of evil, you're too baby, have a nap and maybe your feel better. Assuming the crisis on Naboo is still happening, and as such the vote of no confidence is right now, it might be a great time to report Sidious as a Sith lord. Post-escape from Sidious, both he and Maul definitely will need a nap. It's that kinda place.
Oh, it's probably at least a year before. Anakin keeps trying to sneak off to kill the man himself, but the Jedi are more ready for his Sneaking than Mustafar was, so he keeps getting caught before he can reach the Senate.
At one point he tries to just CHARGE the place and you get Mace and Obi-Wan sprinting after him. The News captures videos of this very small child getting chased by an older Padawan and a Master and they are mostly yelling for him to PUT DOWN THE SABER.
(Sidious might see him but what's he going to do? Might cause too many problems for Sidious to be aware of Anakin's presence with the Jedi, though. Best not.)
It's probably more expensive on average to hire an assassin on a child, just in general But on a jedi youngling??? If he can even find someone to do that, it will be so very, ridiculously expensive And likely 70%+ upfront payments
Ahsoka definitely seeks him out. Toddler baby child. She adores him for reasons unclear to anyone and everyone.
!!! Baby has baby!! Vader's probably a little thrown by this. Been a while subjectively since someone just loved him. And not even for like, a reason. Baby Vader coerced into sitting obediently for nap by tired kiddo: [The council liked that]
The number of times that vader could only be convinced to nap by Obi-Wan grabbing him, caging him in his own lap, and forced to Sit Quietly until he just fell asleep like that...
He has things to do, he's not tired 😡😡😡💢 (He's 9. Distances are between 150 and 195% longer when measured with steps, he's hungry (subjectively) all the time, and has only middling coordination He so is too tired)
Anakin doesn't know Qui-Gon at all but he keeps getting stuffed into the man's top because he's just. Small enough to fit.
Like the bomb boobs gif, but it's a small child.
the indignity
You just. You can't let him get too self-important.
Vader is Disgusted every time the pediatric healers try to talk down to him like they do to other 6yos.
The difference between this and other "Vader goes back in time to the Jedi" AUs (like Force of Many Sights) is that this Vader has never been a Jedi, and doesn't know anything about them except how they fight when he's trying to kill their friends.
Also Maul's there.
Because even he has a hard time taking himself seriously when hes so easy to manhandle Rest of the time; I am fear, I am death personified As luggage child: I am so small. The tiniest. I crave violence He's probably very annoyed they keep taking away his saber And hey! Obi gets practice not losing his! Woooo!
Tumblr media
Something something Anakin clinging to Maul's back (piggy back ride) and chewing on his head or something stupid like that. Perfect height for head biting.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You know, the classic anime head bite
Maul probably has been nominally talked into this because this 9yo is a powerful darksider But he is also the world's most annoying tiny kid Maul would've thought his phenotype would make him immune to this ridiculousness He was wrong At least the teeth are a bit less pointy than his other little brothers'? Appreciating the little things
tfw your unwanted little brother drags you to what you think is a cult but actually they're way less culty than your last two places so you just stick around to keep an eye on the little shit
Anyway. ObiMaul for this one.
They're peers They're tired They just want to sit down and not have to chase this weird little murder child They have a lot in common 😊
They are all just a little bit stupid, I love them.
Qui-Gon is a Cool Mom (throws condoms at them and books it).
Yeah, that's about as much involvement as would be appreciated They probably did a lot of sparring before the tension broke Which did not relieve said tension, generally made it worse (Competence, athleticism, sweat-) Vader is confused, but probably doesn't mind He's probably glad they're distracting each other from stopping assassinating a certain someone (Which- that is 9yo hubris. He would need help to do that)
I still can't decide where on 6yo-9yo he falls but somewhere in there
Babies means easier hiding in shirt, teenie Ahsoka, and longer for him to convince the Jedi council to do a Sith hunt before the Naboo situation
Also longer for Maul and Obi-Wan to faff about being all Tension
* Vaguely inspired by the backstory of Rulebreaker/Wildheart, which is great but significantly more of a romance fic than this.

Wishlist for Obi Wan:
Sith!Obi via being born into the Sith Empire during SW:ToR. He ends up with Anakin as his apprentice and is striving to excel in the Empire.
Sith!Obi who falls ? At some point during the events of the prequels; anger bc of the order 66, bc of the corruption in the Senate, the forming of the Empire, loss of Anakin & the grief & anger there I mean anything starting back at his reaction to Qui Gon’s death could’ve been the trigger there’s a lot of ways this could go down so open to plotting things or just saying eh and leaving it vague until threading takes care of filling in the blanks.
Threads with Anakin / inquisitors / a secret Sith Lord during the era of Kenobi where for one reason or another they’re intent on breaking him down and use torture and whatever else to make him fall to the dark side or maybe they just plan on killing him slowly for a good long while for perceived betrayal or whatever. Again, open to a lot of options.
AU where he leaves the order to be with Satine after her safe return to Mandalore in his youthful misadventures with her and Qui Gon.
AU where he discovers Palpatine’s plans and true nature and is able to convince Anakin and the Council. The empire is thwarted and there is no Mustafar and someone else is brought on as Chancellor. Maybe everyone continues to pretend the twins aren’t Carbon copies of their parents or maybe Anakin opts to leave the Order to raise his kids with his wife.
AU where Padme & Obi somehow manage to avert the bad ending of the confrontation on Mustafar. Everyone goes into hiding. Twins are born. Anakin struggles to regain control & he and Obi try to gather surviving Jedi and or they all begin to form a resistance to the spreading influence of the Empire & Inquisitors.
AU where Obi raises Luke (or Leia or both) on Tatooine instead of Owen & Beru.
AU where Obi lives on Alderaan as a tutor or just family friend mostly hermit style still for safety of all concerned.
AU where Obi doesn’t settle on Tatooine post prequels but goes out in active search of surviving Jedi and works with people like Tala from the get go in saving force sensitives and working to build a rebellion.
AU where Obi and Padme are the ones that enter into a forbidden romance instead of Anakin and Padme. Palpatine uses Anakin’s jealousy and anger at Obi for breaking the rules and taking what he felt was his as the wedge to shoehorn himself into the equation and turn Anakin against Obi. Most of the same would transpire except Padme wouldn’t be at Mustafar. Afterwards she and Obi would probably go on the run / begin resistance efforts etc. assuming she survives and Anakin didn’t kill her somehow bc if he can’t have her no one can etc.
AU where Padme survives and Obi travels with her and the twins to remote places in the galaxy to help her raise them and protect them. Romance may or may not ensue.
AU where Padme survives but the twins are still adopted for their protection and Padme & Obi work together to bolster ongoing resistance and help save force sensitives etc.
AU for OG verses where Ben doesn’t sacrifice himself and managed to escape with Luke et al and works to train Luke and or Leia and be with them to advise them and help.
Canonical storyline threads with other Jedi, padawans, other force users; confrontations with the Sith, the night sisters, threads where Obi is being the Jedi he is, solving problems handling negotiations etc. threads with senators or politicians or on planets where he’s helping refugees or helping teach agricultural or construction skills or whatever. Just. More things. Even with all the books and movies and shows of the prequel and post prequel content there’s so much more to explore with him.
Of course more interactions with Anakins, Padme’s, Palpatines, Bails, Ahsoka, Mace, Maul, Yoda like. More things with the people in his daily life.
Friends with benefits.
I’m sure there will be more here soon.

Goodnight prompt 51/∞
Fandom: Star Wars Prequels Ship: Qui-Gon Jinn/Obi-Wan Kenobi AUs/Tropes: Modern AU, Presumed dead Single dad Qui-Gon, Babysitter Obi-Wan Prompt: After a terrible airplane incident, everyone thinks Qui-Gon is dead. Obi-Wan has been Qui-Gon's live in nanny since Anakin was 2 months old and he really can't let the poor nine years old boy end up alone with stranger waiting to maybe be adopted. And he's basically already like an honorary father to him. He's sure Qui-Gon would have appreciated him taking care of his kid.
Extra details: Okay so imagine Qui-Gon as a single parent and having a meltdown 2 month into actually being a father. And Obi-Wan is like a college kid in need of a place to live and some money to pay the very expensive books and stuff.
Which is how Obi-Wan ends up as Qui-Gon's live-in-nanny. He's pretty good with kids, and it's not like taking care of Anakin while Qui-Gon is at works is so bad.
He can even bring Anakin to his lesson sometimes, because his professor don't seem to mind, not even when Anakin starts having one of his meltdowns and won't calm unless Obi-Wan starts to pace around the classroom.
And Obi-Wan himself doesn't mind that at first other students think that Anakin is his son because of Anakin's blond hair. Anakin is such a beautiful and smart kid! It's very flattering that anyone thinks he could give birth to someone so precious and adorable.
And Obi-Wan kind of minds even less that someone starts a rumor that Qui-Gon is his sugar daddy after he drives them home because it started to rain and Obi-Wan walked to the campus that morning. He would love being in a relationship with someone like Qui-Gon.
After he graduates Obi-Wan thinks he should probably move one. But it's kind of nice not having to pay rent. And Qui-Gon still kind of need his help when Anakin gets back from pre-school. So he finds a part-time job somewhere in the middle between where Qui-Gon lives and Anakin's pre-school, so he's the one taking Anakin home and stuff.
Nothing really changes. Sure, it feels more and more like they are a family and Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are a couple. Hell, sometimes Qui-Gon can't go to teacher-parents conferences so Obi-Wan goes instead and he has to explain multiple times that he's not Qui-Gon boyfriend/husbands/whatever...
Of course Anakin is a menace and still calls Obi-Wan his dad or something (no matter how many times Obi-Wan repeats that he's not; after all, Qui-Gon just shrugs it off and pets Anakin on his head when he does that, so at least it doesn't seem to bother Qui-Gon), so it's even more confusing with people that don't know about their living situation.
Then the accident happens and both Anakin and Obi-Wan are heartbroken. And Obi-Wan promises himself that he would do anything to make sure that Anakin had as much a normal life as he can grant him.
So, about what actually happens to Qui-Gon. Maybe he was heavily injuries and not easily identifiable because of it. He also maybe was in a coma for a long time and when he woke up he lost his memory or something.
But basically I like the idea of him coming back maybe two or three years later, and finding that Obi-Wan actually adopted Anakin and they still live in Qui-Gon house.
And when he meets them once again, all of the pining that Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan have been trying to push off and deny all of a sudden explode and neither of them are sure of what to do.
Like, maybe things are super awkward, or Obi-Wan is angry and doesn't really know why, maybe he tried to move on and find someone else but failed... Don't know, but I think that instead of pushing them together, those two actually kind of fall apart at first. Like, Obi-Wan all of a sudden deciding that maybe he should move out.
Then maybe something bad almost happens to Anakin and they finally get their head out of their butt and get together.

📚👀👀?
(for the daydream plot meme)
ANIMORPHS AU MY BELOVED
Ok, quick precis for those who are not familiar with animorphs: there are brain controlling alien slugs that are taking over the earth, and the only people who know about them is a bunch of kids who get the power to turn into animals (For A Time Limited Time) from a different alien (who is immediately eaten alive in front of them). It's baby's first exposure to horrific war crimes and ethical nightmares, y'know, a normal topic for preteens to read about. The books are all avalible online for free with the author's blessing, and the letter the author wrote to fans about the ending of the series (massive spoilers, obvs) is a brutally raw thing of beauty.
Ok? with me?
So. This is the one where Obi-wan (~16) is being fostered alongside anakin (~11) and ahsoka (~6) by Qui-gon, who is…honestly not, like, the greatest parent in the world, but he's trying, mostly. Obi-wan's got enough fucked up history in the system that having someone who is trying and, ok, failing sometimes, but not like, Actively Physically Abusing Him Or Worse is 100% the best option and he's going to make it work, even if that means sometimes lying to the foster agency about how much qui-gon is supervising them and how often anakin and ahsoka eat meals that obi-wan cooks because Qui-gon stayed late at work, again.
It's fine. It's fine. Obi-wan is going to get a scholarship, he's going to make something of himself, and if he kind of wishes that qui-gon would adopt him — less, admittedly, because qui-gon specifically, and more because it would be someone wanting him, would be a kind of stability he's never had, growing up in the system as he did, a guarantee that he wouldn't be unmoored again — well, like every foster kid wants to be adopted, he's not special.
One night, while cutting through the construction lot between school and home, he runs into some kids from school - quinlan vos, maybe, neild and cerasi, perhaps, whoever — and then they all watch as a fucking alien space ship lands and then, y'know, get the morphing powers, watch alien!jango fett get eaten alive, etc etc, don't tell anyone because the yeerks are everywhere.
Including, it turns out, in Obi-wan's own house. In qui-gon, who is being controlled by…well, visser maul is funny, isn't it.
Probably there is at least one horrible scene of obi-wan watching the yeerk leave qui-gon to feed and qui-gon being Incredibly Obvious about how much he is Not Willing, which is it's own horror, because obi-wan will have to kill him if it comes down to it, even though, y'know, qui-gon is innocent, because the yeerk inside him is not.
yada yada, horrific ethical nightmares and war crimes, anakin finds out about the yeerks and demands to be part of the animorphs, at some point "qui-gon" offers to adopt obi-wan (like he'd always wanted) and obi-wan has to say yes to keep his cover and hates it because 1)it's not qui-gon offering, it's literally his adoption like he'd dreamed about and it's not about obi-wan being wanted at all 2)he's just shackled himself to a yeerk.
also, eventually, anakin starts using his morphing powers For Selfish Reasons, which is it's own nightmare, because somehow obi-wan has become the boss of their little guerilla cell — including the local alien they picked up, one Cody fett, who is (??????) related to the alien who gave them morphing powers and who obi-wan definitely doesn't have feelings for because that would be one more crisis to handle right now so he's not thinking about it— and has to work out… on the one hand, anakin is his brother! on the other hand. they made those rules for a reason, and anakin is putting them all in danger.

More 3 a.m. AU Stuff
So I made a post about a Modern Star Wars AU abouy a week ago and I had more thoughts about it so here's part 2! I also realised I left some characters out, I've fixed that here. You can find the first part here.
And I added ghosts and supernatural stuff so I guess it's not exactly a modern AU anymore, more like a super natural modern AU. I think I'm gonna call it Jedi Supernatural Secret Service AU. Or Jsss AU, that's probably easier.
So, Dooku.
Dooku is Qui-gon's older brother and was his mentor in the Jedi secrete service thing.
He did become disillusioned with the Jedi and joined the Sith but only after his brother died. Secretly he was trying to avenge his brother because to heck with Canon/Legends!
Yaddle is Yoda's younger sister, much younger, he's in his late 90s and she's in her early 60s at the time of Anakin's birth. Both Yaddle and Yoda have a genetic disorder that caused their ears to be longer and pointy because.
And for the sake of my own sanity, humans live longer, they generally live to their hundred thiries, some longer.
Yaddle's kids are Oppo Rancisis and Yarrel Poof. She was trained by her brother in the Jedi but eventually said 'Fuck this' and left to start a humanitarian organization. Now she has a lot of children.
Plo Koon and Barriss both volunteered there and Barriss started working for Yaddle after leaving the Jedi.
Barriss was basiacally adopted by the children at Yaddle's orphanage, the kids usually call her big sister and sometimes call her mom, they call Yaddle mom more often.
The Jedi use high tech gunsword things instead of lightsabers.
Boga is Obi-Wan's bearded dragon house guard. In this AU, bearded dragons were specially bred and modified to be bigger, stronger, have more loyalty and generally be a better partner for people like Obi-Wan, so Boga is really big, not as big as cannon but big. Boga is almost always near Korkie to keep him safe.
Yaddle comes over to watch Korkie when Obi and Cody go on dates, she did the same with Obi and Satine before Satine died.
Yoda used to be in charge of the Jedi, even though he was a really old man but when Order 66 happened, he moved to a swamp where he fished and would occasionally come to family reunions but doesn't like them because Yaddle always gives him a hard time about something.
Plo Koon adopted his clones, imedeatly. He brought all of them home once and they just kept going back.
Plo lives if I didn't mention that already.
Obi-Wan's mother died when an assassination attempt caused her to go into premature labor, she and Qui-gon were having another baby, they were a girl. They both died. Obi-Wan was about 6 and a half.
Shmi was an immigrant from a dangerous country. She worked as a waitress and sometimes an extra cook in Dex's Diner.
Qui-gon and Dex were really good friends, Dex was Obi-Wan's godfather and would either go to Qui-gon's house and watch him or let him stick around his dinner, depending on his schedule.
After Qui-gon's wife died, he and Obi-Wan went there for meals because Qui-gon didn't have the motivation to make anything at home. Cooking always reminded him of her since they did that together.
Shmi was usually the one who served them. She always gave them some extra food to take home since she figured something was wrong, she is very good at reading people in this AU. Qui-gon appreciated that since it made everything a little easier and gave Obi-Wan something to look forwards to.
When Qui-gon had to work, Shmi would bring food over for Obi-Wan on her breaks and always gave him little treats she paid for.
She would talk with Obi-Wan when he was dropped off at the diner and keep him company even when she wasn't working. She was almost always there and if he needed someone to talk to, he could just take a walk down to the diner.
Later, Shmi helped Dex and Qui-gon introduce Obi-Wan to Satine(then set up a date when they were older;)
Shmi and Qui-gon became very good friends and Qui-gon began trusting Shmi with Obi-Wan, she would take him to school when there wasn't enough time and Shmi covered for Qui-gon on take your parent to work day(she brought snacks for all the kids).
After enough time, Dex eventually saw what Qui-gon and Shmi didn't and conspired with Dooku, who wasn't 'bad' at this point, to set them up.
They failed.
When Yaddle visited her nephews and grand nephew for the holidays, she saw Shmi and Qui-gon interacting exactly 1 time then asked Qui-gon if he planned on getting married anytime soon or what.
Yaddle doesn't care if she's not appropriate, she does what she wants and doesn't beat around the bush.(I'm picturing her as a kick-ass old lady kinda vibe in this AU, Yaddle doesn't take anybody's shit.)
This is after about three years after Obi-Wan's mom died, Shmi was around before that and had been friends with Mrs. Kenobi(he has his mom's last name, remember).
So Shmi didn't exactly feel like she should take her friends place and didn't want to disrespect her but(since it's October when I'm writing this I've decided spirits are still a thing so it's not a completly normal world, there is some supernatural elements in this AU, and certain people can see the supernatural stuff better and ask for help/manipulate them, hence the Jedi and Sith groups) her spirit came to Shmi and told her it was okay and that she wanted her husband and son to be happy ans that Shmi made them happy.
So Shmi and Qui-gon get married! Yay!
Qui-gon and Obi-Wan both got super nervous and scared when Shmi was pregnant, especially Obi-Wan, he didn't want to loose another mother and sibling.
But Anakin and Shmi survived, it was a good, fairly easy birth.
Happy Secret service family times!
Aka, Qui-gon teaching his whole family how to not die and getting tips from Dooku.
Yes, Dooku has children, mostly adopted/other people's kids who he serves as a fatherly uncle towards. And he's really good with teenagers. He adopted Asajj after her other adopted family got killed, he adopted Keelyvine Reus, (he adoptes Keelyvine first) he helped Tholme with Quinlan and later Aylaa, he sort of adopted Sev'rance Tann, and also the rest of who were the dark acolytes in legends. His biological kids are Rael Averross, his son and oldest bio child, Komari Vosa, his daughter and youngest bio child. They both have their mother's last name, Vosa but Rael changed his.
Dooku also has grandchildren, Rael has two illegitimate children, Nim Pianna with a women named Selbi Pianna, and Lamia. Komari adopted some kids out of a life in criminal gang because she's a good person I decided. Keelyvine adopted Tyzen Xebec after his dad died. Dooku has more grandkids but I don't wanna write them all out here, he loves all his grandchildren equally.
He(&Yaddel) taught Plo the ways of serial adopting and was proud when Plo out serial adopted him. Yaddel taught him how to serial adopt. Plo and Shaak Ti were serial adopting buddies.
Between the four, a lot of otherwise neglected children would have been without someone to talk/go to or any sort of good, supportive adult figure in their life.
So Anakin and Obi-Wan have a lot of first cousins from Dooku and a bunch of other cousins from Yaddel. Qui-gon is drowing in cousins, neices and nephews and is super proud of his big bro.
Plo Koon was a good friend to Obi-Wan and Anakin, like another dad because he exudes a fatherly presence.
Shmi, Satine, Cody and Padmé all had no idea what they were signing up for when they married into this family. A hell of a lot of cousins, crazy family reunions where somehow, everyone can almost always make it in some way, usually about 100 or so people in person and everyone else doing it over the holophone.
As people from small families(except Cody, he's got a shit ton of 'brothers', most aren't actually related to each other, just raised together) this was a big adjustment but a fun one since the big family was generally pleasant to be around as a whole, there were some annoying members but not too many of them.
Shmi loves the big family a whole lot, she thinks it's very fun if tiring to remember everyone's names at times and she really likes to learn about everyone.
Satine is surprised that there aren't major family fights because of stupid disagreements, they have a surprisingly effective mediator, Yaddel, who no one wants to piss off, she likes the relatively calm conversations over disagreements unlike her family who solved things with violence and shouting.
Padmé has heard of the one disagreements that no one is allowed to talk about because of the family war that happened but she can't find out about it because they don't speak of it and it drives her crazy. Other than that minor annoyance, she loves the big crazy family too.
Cody sees the big family and was like; 'Cool, just like home but less violent.' He adjusted to the new family very well.
Most of the family is supportive of Obi-Wan and Cody, others just don't mind it and nobody says anything against it because they are basically asking for death.
The same thing happened with Ahsoka and Kaeden. Everybody loves it when there are babies and no one has to look far for a babysitter.
The whole family goes to weddings, they are all outside weddings because there isn't any indoor place big enough to handle all these crazy people.
Bail and Breha are politicians, Breha is still a queen and she and Padmé are buds. They would have 'diplomatic' meetings every few months where they just chilled and gossiped about stuff.
Alright, this is really long I'm gonna stop it here but this one kinda covered the early life and family of Obi-Wan and Anakin.
I think I gave Dooku too many kids but whatever!
And I still left people out, I'll fix that soon ;)
I am going to start writing out this concept because I think it will be really fun.
Have a good day!
VJS out!

For the made up fic title thing: there isn’t a flag I haven’t waved
Oooooooo I like this one!! Mercenary AU for sure.
Obi-Wan's not exactly Fallen but he struggles with the Dark a LOT after Qui-Gon never comes back to Melida/Daan. He's unable to reach the council to request mediation (for whatever reason, tho I am pro-Council so I'm gonna assume it's either Dooku or Qui-Gon being a bastard), and after Cerasi's death the Young get wiped out and war consumes the planet yet again.
Obi-Wan and a few survivors manage to escape, tho any older kids who managed to survive blame him for not doing enough and the group eventually splinters, with Obi-Wan taking care of the youngest children alone in the galaxy at age 13. Obi-Wan keeps them all alive and healthy but at great cost to himself, and eventually starts killing people for money because he doesn't have any other marketable skills (besides the Force, which would only get him enslaved).
The kids are all fiercely loyal to him and eventually insist on helping him once they grow old enough. They're all veterans of Melida/Daan despite Obi-Wan's efforts to shelter them and so they're excellent guerrilla fighters, with Obi-Wan as their leader and strategist.
They have a reputation for being brutal, tight lipped, and effective, but they REALLY rocket into infamy when they run afoul of the Bando Gora and dismantle them from the inside, posing as slaves to do it because no one expects a bunch of teenage mercenaries. (They wear masks when they're not on the job so most people assume they're older than they actually are.)
Obi-Wan kills Komari Vosa himself and takes her lightsabers. Jango is PISSED someone stole his bounty. (And feeling some type of way about this mercenary band with morals, like the True Mandalorians, with a leader who's so young but sometimes acts so much like Jaster.) Dooku is searching frantically for this mysterious mercenary who he wants to be the template for his clone army. The Jedi are on the hunt for this possible Sith who's going around taking down gangs, crime syndicates, and various extremist splinter groups with twin red sabers.
Obi-Wan is in his 20s, in charge of a large group of violent and unruly teenagers because he keeps accidentally adopting more and more, and trying his best. Anakin Skywalker grows up hearing stories about the Faceless, who always make sure to free the slaves of their targets and sometimes even take them in to train as warriors. And if he sometimes wishes he could have joined them instead of the Jedi, well. They're probably just legends. It's not like he's ever gonna MEET them, nor their mysterious leader with hair as red as his blades.

hey owl it’s me i’m in your inbox now. i politely ask your headcanons on dins reaction to finding out about all the things luke has been through but NOT from luke, could be lukes friends, random people who witnessed or even people in the squadron so i can sit here and go 🙃 about lukes trauma
Hello my dear @elloitselmo!! Oh you bet I would be so happy to share this to the world! Our favorite topic of every day:
Let's all make it clear in the fact that sweetheart Luke has SUFFERED. The boy has had so little luck in everything he has faced but has come to be a gentle, forgiving, hopeful and kind young man despite everything he has gone through. Now, whenever Din makes any inquiry about it, Luke just brushes it off as not very interesting or not very different from other's with a hard past...or he'll explain things very simply.
Luke: Yeah, I've lost family (meaning "My mother died giving birth to me, my father's soul practically died then but I just was told he died after believing he abandoned me, my aunt and uncle died and i found their bodies, my mentor who became a father-figure died and I witnessed it, my best friend and possible crush died and I heard it, my TaunTaun died in front of me, another close friend of mine died behind me and I witnessed his body then get crushed, many in my squadron died and I witnessed it, my second mentor died, and then my not-dead father died!")
or
Luke: Like a lot in the rebellion I went through some hard times (meaning "I am an Empath and was unaware how much I felt on people dying and how it affected me, went through loads of gruesome horrible battles, have had a lot of experiences and witnesses of death, had to go through a soul/mind/body breaking training to get prepared to face a genocidal monster who had been training almost non-stop since he was nine, found out this genocial monster was my father--so i tried to kill myself cause I sorta lost my mind for a second, had my best friend get kidnapped, went through tons of missions, was nearly drowned by someone who hated me for who my father was, been tortured, faced the Empire, was tortured again, had to carry my dying father in my arms, have my father die in my arms, burn my father alone, made sure to feel and experience death with thousands of people so they wouldn't be alone...oh and that was just after i was nineteen and up to twenty-five! I didn't cover being a kid or afterwards...I've had some mental break downs...but just little ones :D")
So Din just isn't aware. Luke always does have a layer of sadness or exhaustion even with how happy and bright and sweet he is with everyone, but nothing to make him think that Luke should be a really broken person after all that he has suffered through. He believe he has just a "normal" amount of sadness from growing up in a very broken galaxy.
Then, he learns the whole truth (maybe Anakin or Yoda or Qui-Gon comes in through a dream, cause apparently right before Luke meets Din Obi-Wan moves on into the Force so, hey!, another sad moment, Luke can't see him again) and whooo-boy...Din snaps.
So instantly, Din would just be sitting there after whoever informed him of everything leaves. He would probably be sitting for a few hours just...thinking. Stewing really. He would be unable to comprehend all that he learned about Luke and just cannot begin to really function for a while because he pretty much has PTSD listening to the years of misery Luke has gone through. He potentially gets sick or may have a moment to cry to himself because how could Luke suffer so much but still be that gentle and kind??
For a bit, Din is a bit torn. He is not one to take away a person's free will or choices...but he is terrified to realize he no longer really trusts Luke with his own well being and doing anything safely. Nor does he true the galaxy in not throwing more terrible experiences Luke's way (fic idea: we've heard of Luke having a vision of his future of the sequels--but when it Din had it?).
I think it will get Din to make a few clear decisions quickly:
1) He was to put a lot more effort and focus into being Mand'alor so he could use the connections, authority, and power to change as much as he could of Luke's life and make sure he is happy and safe.
2) He was going to find a way to marry Luke if they aren't married already.
3) Luke will be adopted as an official Mandalorian.
4) Luke will be a Mandalore citizen...and therefore needs to follow Mand'alor's rules and laws.
This means he will ensure Luke is protected, carefully tended to, and cannot just jump on his X-Wing whenever he has a vision and potentially go get himself killed because he does not value his own life like he should.
He wants to go on a mission? Well, he needs clearance for that--and to speak with the king and his advisors and just can't take off into airspace without informing anyone. If it's not approved (and it rarely would be) then, welp, Luke just has to stay put and not go get himself hurt because he feels like he must be a meat-shield for the galaxy.
Leia would be a little worried on the idea at first but, well, her brother would disappear without telling anyone and get hurt.
Then, Din would begin to talk to Luke.
He'd ask for details to get things confirmed and he'd start looking for a Space-Therapist so Luke can get some professional help in facing the horrible past he had suffered from.
Din will tell him, "No, cyar'ika...that's not normal. no, no that's not normal either. Is that...no, that is unhealthy...and that's heartbreaking and...No...holy hells, love, you'e never leaving our bedroom ever again." for everything that comes out of Luke's mouth and when he tries to play it off as nothing to worry about.
Din probably does have a few cries and/or bonks his head against Beskar to try and knock himself out to not think of any of this painful truth.
Luke, who is just sitting all confused with a mug of hot chocolate is all, "Did i tell you about the time I was nearly sold into slavery?"
Din is in agony.

Promt idea if you want it! Obi Wan introducing 9 year old Anakin to his Mandolarian husband and Jango just accepting him and hes just like about time you found us a kid!
“Anakin?” Obi-wan says and kneels down in front of him, but Anakin is frozen, his gaze fixed on the blank t-shaped visor of the Mandalorian behind Obi-wan.
He should have known this wasn’t going to last. This Mandalorian must have been sent to bring him back to Tatooine, to make him a slave again. Watto must have found some way out of the contract he made with Mr. Qui-gon. Maybe the contract was void since Mr. Qui-gon died. Maybe Obi-wan didn’t want him anymore and was sending him back.
“Anakin!” Obi-wan says, clearly panicked as he tries to stop Anakin’s hyperventilation. “What’s going on? What’s wrong?”
“Let me try,” the Mandalorian says and nudges Obi-wan aside. “I’m not going to hurt you, ad’ika. Okay?” He takes off his helmet, revealing soft eyes. But Anakin has seen monsters with soft eyes before. And they were always the worst ones when they finally stopped pretending to be kind. “How do you usually calm him? Does he respond well to touch?”
“I don’t know,” Obi-wan says. “Anakin, hey, Anakin, we’re safe. You’re safe here.”
He can’t go back there. He can’t be a slave again. Obi-wan had promised he would be a Jedi. Would Obi-wan fight for him? Would he even be able to? Mandalorians are the best warriors in the galaxy. Even on Tatooine they knew the stories of what the Mandalorians had done in their last war with the Republic.
“Ani,” Obi-wan says, but his voice is different now, softer, steadier. “Ani, breath with me. Just breath with me. We’re okay.”
The rest of the world fades away, leaving just the two of them, cocooned in Obi-wan’s Force presence. He can hear Obi-wan’s breath, slow and steady. Calm. Like his mom was when the noise was too loud in his head and she tried to shield him from the nightmares.
Anakin opens his eyes. Obi-wan is kneeling in front of him, far paler than Anakin had ever seen him before. “Are you okay?” Obi-wan asks.
“I—” Anakin’s voice catches in his throat when he sees the Mandalorian again.
“That’s Jango Fett, my friend. He won’t hurt you,” Obi-wan says, but Anakin can’t peel his eyes away. The fear is coming back, twisting inside his guts and crushing his lungs.
“You said he was from the Outer Rim, right?” the Mandalorian says. Obi-wan nods. “He’s probably only ever known Mandalorian bounty hunters. And if he’s from a poorer planet, he’s probably only known us as someone to be feared. We do have a terrible reputation out in the Rim, though I’ll admit it is probably somewhat deserved. Only the worst of us get involved in the slave trade that happens out there.”
“Oh,” Obi-wan says. “Anakin? Jango isn’t going to hurt you. And if he tried, there several thousand Jedi just over there that would come to your aid. We would never let anything happen to you. Okay?”
Anakin narrows his eyes, then glances back at the Temple a few dozen yards away from them. “He’s not here to take me back?” Anakin whispers.
“No,” Obi-wan says. “No one will ever force you to return there. I promise.”
Anakin looks over the Mandalorian again. He doesn’t feel like the other Mandalorians Anakin had met in the Force. He’s rough and sharp, but not twisted. Not evil. And there’s a bond between him and Obi-wan. They must be friends. Or maybe more than friends, he realizes.
Anakin scowls. Yuck.
“Anakin?” Obi-wan asks.
“Is he your boyfriend?” Anakin asks.
Obi-wan pinks and the Mandalorian, Jango, laughs. “I like him,” Jango says to Obi-wan, then kneels in front of Anakin.
“I’m Obi-wan’s partner,” Jango says to Anakin. “We aren’t married because we both have our duties that must come first, but we still love each other very much. When I heard he had adopted you, I was really excited to come meet you. I’m sorry I scared you. I promise you that I would never hurt you.”
The Force rings true in his ears now that he can hear it over his slowly softening emotions. Maybe only bad Mandalorians came out to Tatooine. That would make sense. Only bad people worked for the Hutts.
Iit could be nice to have someone else hanging around, especially someone that knew how to use a jetpack and blasters. Obi-wan always said he was too young for blasters, but Anakin gets the sense that Jango might feel differently.
This could be fun.
“Nice to meet you, Mr. Fett,” Anakin says with a smile.

I know that considering (TCW-2008) refs/characters in this episode that it won’t be your fav but can you please share your child development thoughts for S02E05 please??
They may have been stuff I wasn’t fond of but there were so many cute Baby & Dad moments to make up for it!!
First of all, the puppeteers deserves ALL THE AWARDS for bringing Baby Yoda to life!  Not just making Baby “come alive” in general, but also that sort-of-awkward way children move when they don’t have complete confidence in their limbs yet.  The are doing a phenomenal job this season and I hope they are all safe and healthy and have all the chocolate they want.  Not only is it fantastic from a special effects perspective, it really highlights how far Baby has come now that he’s not stuck in a pod all day and implies that Din is trying to keep him active and physically healthy, and giving him opportunities to develop his muscles and muscle control.  (Just imagine them playing a makeshift game of chase through the Razor Crest!)
I absolutely loved Din saying “Hey, what did I tell you” because I have said those exact words in that exact tone SO MANY TIMES and also his Dad Voice is getting so much better!  Baby actually listens to him and understands that Din expects him to listen!  Of course he still wants the ball (and apparently takes it enough that Din has been practicing his Dad voice on that too, “What did I say about that” is another phrase I also use at work).
Though there may have been another reason he wants the ball this time - as a comfort item, like a child bringing their favorite stuffie to the first day of school.  Baby was there when the Armorer told Din to find Jedi to bring the Baby to.  He has been listening a lot when Din talks about finding Jedi to train him and give him to.  I think Baby is very, very aware of the fact that the end goal is to leave him with the Jedi and is very afraid of leaving his beloved father.  He would’ve had stable caretaker(s) at the Jedi Temple but in the last twenty years who knows what’s happened to him.  His subdued, don’t-draw-attention-to-myself behavior in Season 1 definitely makes me think he’s been neglected, bare minimum, and possibly abused.  Din not only treats him kindly but actually takes care of his needs, is kind to him, and is the most stable presence in his life.  Of course he’d be terrified to leave him!
I think that’s also why he doesn’t play ball with Ahsoka, so to speak.  We all know he can lift a mudhorn, a rock is no problem for him.  He could do it in a heartbeat.  But I think he understood that if he showed off for her, Ahsoka might take him away.  So he refused for that, and because it’s very common at that age to refuse to do something to regain control of a situation.  (That’s why you get kids enjoying telling you “No!” and the whole terrible twos thing.)  If he refuses, he stays in control of what’s happening.  But of course Din knows exactly how to tempt him with his favorite ball, and kids do want to please adults they like.  Anything to hear that sweet, sweet positive reinforcement.  So it wasn’t just the shiny ball that convinced Baby - it was the fact that Din was the one playing with him, and that Din so enthusiastically tells him good job.  (And Din is noticeably more into it when using the orb.  Maybe he and Baby have played with it before?  So it’s more natural to both of them.  And he was truly so proud of his boy!!  It was adorable.)
It’s the same with hearing his real name, which he presumably hasn’t heard in twenty years.  He responds when Ahsoka says it, but when Din says it?  He’s instantly turned around, ears perked all the way up in “happy” mode.  It’s special when Din says it, because Din is special to him.
Which then ties into the whole attachment thing.  Baby is very healthily attached to Din.  There’s a reason we stick kids with the same teacher for a year plus at a time, it’s because kids are comfortable with a regular person they can get to know, just like adults are.  To Baby, Ahsoka is just some orange stranger and Din is his dad.  Of course he is more attached to Din and has fears over losing him, especially if he’s been deprived of that for the last 20-odd years!  It’d be different if Din was sticking around to transition Baby somewhere new, or just dropping him off for lessons.  But leaving a parent permanently and abruptly after likely previous trauma?  That would be horrible for Baby.
And re: The Jedi + attachments Ahsoka (and Filoni) are wrong on that.  The Jedi do not forbid attachments, only letting your attachments rule you.  Ki-Adi-Mundi is married and so were others, and there are plenty of Padawan-Master relationships to see - for example, Obi-Wan was attached to Qui-Gon and clearly loved him and was devastated by his loss, but it’s only when he conquers his emotions and calms himself is he able to defeat Maul, and afterward is implied/shown to mourn Qui-Gon and handle his grief in a healthy way.  Anakin doesn’t fall because he’s attached to his loved ones.  He falls because he’s willing to commit murder and genocide over his attachments.  So “I can’t teach Grogu because he’s attached to you” is bullshit.  “I can’t teach Grogu because he is attached to you and needs to be safely transitioned into Jedi life in an environment that is comfortable and safe for him, with your help as his adoptive father, and I have no way to do that here and/or don’t feel comfortable doing that” is much more accurate.  (This is probably what would’ve happened if the Order was still around, anyway, and/or how he was actually taken in - the 3D TCW episode with the Jedi children shows the bounty hunters tricking the parents to kidnap the kids, implying that a real Jedi would work with the family to transition the children in a safe and healthy manner.  The Rodian even says the Jedi have already spoken to her iirc.)
Of course even if Grogu is unhealthily attached to Din (which he isn’t, imo, he behaves like a child at a normal level of attachment to a regular caretaker he loves) then ignoring it and not doing anything about it is equally bad.... as we’ve already seen when he got upset with Cara last season.  Baby must learn to control his powers so he doesn’t hurt himself or others, especially since he’s so young he doesn’t always have full control over his own emotions.  “Big” emotions can be a lot for a kid; a screaming meltdown is bad enough when the kid can’t yeet you with their mind.  I’ve been hit, kicked, bitten, scratched, had toys thrown at me, even been hit with heavy wooden blocks.  A Grogu out of control with his emotions and using the Force?  Terrifying.  Yes, his attachment to Din makes him more vulnerable to his fears and anger - we’ve seen him choke Cara and while he only held back the mudhorn, in theory he could’ve done more.  But that is just all the more reason to teach him control.  Ignore harmful behavior and it will only get worse, and Din isn’t really equipped to help him navigate that since Din doesn’t understand the Force and can’t understand what Grogu says.
(Also lol at “He doesn’t understand” “He does.”  You can 100% tell when kids understand you perfectly and are refusing to do it, even when a parent is making excuses for their darling. xD  Especially since kids will frequently act/react differently to their parents versus other caretakers.)
“He’s hidden his abilities to survive over the years” I call partial bullshit on that.  No, I don’t think Baby has done any long-term planning or had thoughts along the lines of “I’m being hunted and need to protect myself by pretending not to be a Force-user.”  But I think he has probably figured out people react a certain way when he does Force things and perhaps decided “I shouldn’t make things float because then people will grab me/I will get taken away/other consequence I don’t like will happen.”  That’s more in line with a toddler’s level of thinking/comprehension.  And it adds greater weight to him saving Din from the mudhorn - he didn’t know how Din would react to him using the Force, if Din would try and hurt him or lock him in the pod or whatever, but he still wanted to save Din.  Overall though I think Baby’s Force-use is in line with a toddler’s thoughts.  “I want X to happen, I can make that happen with the Force, so I will make X happen unless I’m more scared of [consequence] happening.”
So overall a pretty revealing episode for Baby/Grogu.  (I’m not used to the new name yet tbh.)  Although I’m worried about how many times it will take Din hearing it to realize that yes, you are this baby’s father, get that through your beskar-plated skull.

Rant Warning
Jedi bashing Warning
I love Obi-wan, but he was not the best master for a student. He became a full Jedi early and immediately got an apprentice afterwards, when usually it's a few years before a knight even thinks about getting one. He still had a lot to learn and he wasn't given any time to grieve, though Yoda would probably tell him to 'let it go into the force'. Speaking of, I really don't think the Jedi's way of handling emotion is very healthy. Look at how Anakin turned out. Why did they let a toddler be alone with a politician??? Who cares if he's a senator, most politicians are corrupt and he was like 40 years older. WHY DID THEY LEAVE A LITERAL CHILD WITH AN OLD, SUSPICIOUSLY MOTIVATED MAN? Why did Anakin feel like he only had Palps to turn to? Why didn't he have a bigger support system? Obi-wan tried, but he wasn't entirely up to the task. He didn't know what to do with a kid, especially a kid who Qui-gon was so ready to have replace him. The Jedi council didn't want to train Anakin from the beginning because he was "too old" and that probably helped with him believing the council hated him and not trusting them. So there Anakin was, close to 0 friends because he didn't have any age mates who he grew up with, a mentor who wasn't ready to mentor, and a council that he distrusted and they distrusted him in turn. Is it really a wonder how he turned out? Also, the 'no attachments' rule is absolute (excuse my language) BULLSHIT. I understand their philosophy of "being attached to someone leads to the dark side", at least a little, but what it should be is "you can have attachments as long as you are able to let them go when the time comes". Anakin's 'attachment' is what saved Ashoka and Barriss when they were buried in rubble in that one clone wars episode. The Jedi have forgotten the distinction between knowing when to stop, and knowing when continuing is what's gonna keep people from dying. They're "peacekeepers" supposedly, but what does that mean? True peace would be, as Ultron did in What If, the total destruction of everything. The elimination of the universe and all life in it. Jedi keep the peace, but there was never any peace in a galaxy where there are differences that have caused conflict and always will cause conflict. Peacekeeping is a noble but absolutely useless ideal that is utterly impossible to achieve. What the Jedi should have been was protectors. They should have protected the innocent, dug out the corrupt, ended slavery, they should have actually DONE something instead of sitting in their temple and answering to the beck and call of some government. Why the hell did they build their temple on coruscant of all places? They should've gotten their own planet and underground information web to supply their mission assignments. Be their own task force to liberate the oppressed, supply those in need, give "villains" therapy, that kind of thing. But they weren't. And Luke tried to recreate the Jedi Order (off of very, very limited information btw) so really that was gonna end badly either way. Don't hang on to the past man, should've made that hero task force. The Jedi weren't perfect like they tried to be, so don't try to be perfect. Perfection is an opinion. What you can do, is try your best. Try to be your best, do your best, and do it with the support of your friends and family. If normal people can have attachments without going off and murdering people with their guns and blasters, the Jedi could've too. They just needed a support system and a therapist or five.
And I haven't even MENTIONED ethicality of the clone wars. God that was such a mess. Thank the lord this is all fiction.
Now a REAL example of true Jedi would be Plo-koon. Or at least, he's what a Jedi should be. If only he wasn't limited. If only he could've adopted all his bois.

Padawan Lineage from Dooku to Tano going forward to the Empire and have to work together to get back to their times
Buckle up folks, ‘cause this is a long one
time-travel au where 18 yr old Padawan Dooku, 16 year old Padawan Jinn, 13 year old Padawan Kenobi, 9 year old Padawan Skywalker, and 4 year old Initiate Tano (who Skywalker ran into in a hallway and latched onto him when the force rippled) end up getting launched forward in time together to a time between Ep. 3 and 4 in an abandoned temple and have to work together to get back to their own times while avoiding them empire and coming up with a plan to end the sith in their times
TINY FOUND FAMILY???
Look i just want a story about this lineage that matches that one picture of all of them together in like that library
I also want that
oh no now i'm THINKING about that
AND THEY LAND IN A DESERTED TEMPLE
BUT THE EMPIRE IS WATCHING
AND THEY NEED TO GET HOME
AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED
Qui-Gon is def wondering how his Master got deaged.
This is after Obi-Wan became his padawan
And Vader KNOWS that he can’t kill any of them
VERY VERY TALL DOOKU PUSHING ALL THE KIDS BEHIND HIM BECAUSE OF DANGER
They're all padawans except Ahsoka
VADER REDEMPTION THROUGH NOT ACTUALLY BEING ALLOWED TO KILL THESE KIDS
He has to help them get home
Even though he really wants kenobi dead
Bc then the timeline will get completely derailed. And it may actually rip a hole in the space-time continuum
Vader has poor impulse control and lots of self-loathing
He might just do it anyway
He may also want to kill himself to put himself out of his misery
but ahsoka is there and he just...can't
Vader knows he can't kill his younger self. And Tiny!Ahsoka gives him all the feels in his otherwise cold, dead heart.
Even though he really wants kenobi dead
Imagine Dooku, Qui and Ani's reaction to Vader being like. Unnecessarily mean to Obi. Even meaner than he is the rest of them.
When they find out Vader is Ani...and Obi-Wan put him in the suit
Qui-Gon: "Is this what makes you feel big and powerful? Pushing around a 13 year old? This is what you need to feel worthy?"
Little Ani asking: "What happened that was so bad I decided to give myself another chain?"
Tiny Obi-Wan, hugging Tiny Ani: "I'd never hurt you, I promise I won't, not ever, I'll keep you safe forever--"
LINEAGE FEELS
Ani: "I won't do it. I promise. I won't chain myself again. I won't hurt you. I promise. I promise. I promise."
Kinda want them all to go back to their timelines with a plan to derail the sith's plans. Like the sith have been planning this for 1000 years they're going to need time to derail all that. So when Qui-Gon goes back things are different because Dooku remembers him and has been doing his part. When Obi-Wan goes back, it's the same thing with Qui-Gon. When Anakin and Ahsoka go back, it's the same and Dooku hasn't fallen. That could be a whole nother sequel.
And then the sith had to adjust their plans to fit their actions and everything is so DIFFERENT
A favorite trope of mine, rarely used in fandom: someone choking back tears of their own while they comfort a crying child.
This, but Dooku and Ashoka
The snark between those two
Also, Obi-Wan learns he was never sent to Bandomeer and that whole mission happened differently because Qui-Gon took him without him being sent to AgriCorps first. Anakin has memories of slavery but now he also has memories of growing up in the Temple because Qui-Gon and Anakin knew to find him.
You're all,,,, giving me,,,, so many feelings
Also, Obi-Wan learns he was never sent to Bandomeer and that whole mission happened differently because Qui-Gon took him without him being sent to AgriCorps first. Anakin has memories of slavery but now he also has memories of growing up in the Temple because Qui-Gon and Anakin knew to find him.
Oh this is a whole crap ton of complicated emotions for them
I want protective "i have to be the protector/defender of these kids" young Dooku, with "I have to follow the will of the force while protecting these kids even though i just want to lean on this young version of my master" young Qui-Gon, with "idk what I'm doing and i want to curl up with my master, but these two little kids need me to be brave" young Obi-Wan, with "recently freed slave not sure who to trust only dealt with grieving Obi-Wan and Jedi who don't want him but needs to protect ahsoka" young Ani who also just wants someone to hug him, with young "recently brought to the temple but too young to really understand what's going on and is just scared" little Ahsoka.
Oh, and the longer after they return, the more their original timeline memories start to feel like someone else's life!
The five desperately try to live on the run for a bit, but they have no way of getting off coruscant easily and are kinda slumming it in the tomb of the temple for a good week or so trying to get news or figure out what happened
In Legends the temple was a light-side nexus turned dark by the death of so many force sensitive younglings. In disney the temple is ontop of a sith shrine.
Either way
It's a bad place for young force sensitives to squat.
Dooku, looking for information: Hello, my siblings and I-- Guy: You all don't look like siblings. Dooku: Different father's. Anyway-- Guy: pointed look at Ashoka Dooku: Are you going to sit here and debate our family dynamics or are you going to answer my question?
One of the two oldest just straight up refuse to put Ashoka down most of the time
She would run off if they did or get trampled or lost or something terrible. In that same vein, Anakin refuses to let go of Obi-Wan's hand
Dooku: This is my younger brother, my little brother, my kid brother, and our sister (she's adopted) and we would like some help.
Dooku: This is my younger brother, my little brother, my kid brother, and our sister (she's adopted) and we would like some help.
Clone Trooper: as you are Jedi, we are instead going to shoot at you
She would run off if they did or get trampled or lost or something terrible. In that same vein, Anakin refuses to let go of Obi-Wan's hand
oh my gosh imagine how much that would mean to little 13 year old Obi-Wan
SOMEONE CHOSE HIM.
It wouldn't necessarily be obvious, if enough time has passed. The haircut wasn't completely standard and, with hiding, they probably ditched their robes or disguised themselves with 'borrowed' clothes
Dooku, Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan and Anakin have to cut off their braids to escape the troopers
They wrap them around their wrists like bracelets
They all cry when it happens
Ahsoka goes around and hugs each one when it happens
Cue comforting cuddle pile
I mean Sheev did his best to erase Jedi culture, so the braid=Jedi apprentice thing probably isn't something very many people know.
Dooku finding out he became a Sith Lord who was killed by Anakin. Qui-Gon learning how he died. Anakin learning he killed Dooku and then became a Sith. Obi-Wan (and maybe Ahsoka though how much she understands is debatable) learning they probably died in a massacre
I mean Sheev did his best to erase Jedi culture, so the braid=Jedi apprentice thing probably isn't something very many people know.
But it may be something the clones are taught to know to keep an eye out for
Are there many clones left at this point?
Mostly stormtroopers now?
Important question: do they have their sabers with them?
Still stormtroopers and then the inquisitors who would know
Prolly Dooku, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan have lightsabers. Anakin just joined the Jedi and Ahsoka is too young
Anakin and Qui-Gon's death being so fresh....
Prolly Dooku, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. Anakin just joined the Jedi and Ahsoka is too young
I don't think the stormtroopers would know, the inquisitors probably would

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! The kiss prompts are still open, also apologies for the minor delay in answering yours. I am happy to write one for you of the fam just being a fam!
43. A  kiss pressed to the top of the head.
---
The children were, as always, underfoot. Obi-Wan wasn’t sure when he simply got used to the fact there was always going to be some small person to trip over if he turned too quickly. Cody and Rex were the most frequent offenders, but Anakin was quickly climbing up that rank. Boba was perhaps innocent in this only because he was so often in someone else’s arms. The only true time they weren’t in his way was when he was sparring, but even then they tried to peek around the edge of the door to see what was happening. Jaster had laid down rules about tiny children near two people fighting- as in they weren’t allowed in the room.
Qui-Gon had mentioned they were like tooka kits, following after their parent. Mace had merely snorted and then the two Masters had wandered off to go comm the Council yet again. Obi-Wan was certain he was in all sorts of trouble with the Order, what with somehow accidentally adopting a family being at the top of his list of crimes. They probably weren’t thrilled about a lot of things he had done on this trip and he was certain that Master Jinn and Master Windu were giving thorough reports of his transgressions.
Returning to Courscant was not going to be delightful.
He sank down onto the ground and debated meditating with the short free time he had before his children found him. The leather tie for his hair was shoved in his pocket for safekeeping since he was trying to let his hair dry after his quick sonic and didn’t want to have to beg another one off of Quinlan. The decision to meditate was promptly discarded as he heard the battle cries of his children. Ah, Jango or Quinlan must have lost control of them again. His lips twitched as Rex burst into the room, followed by Anakin, and then Cody who was carrying Boba.
“Hello there,” he said with mild amusement. “Discovered I went missing then?” “We couldn’t find you and buir was being unhelpful. He said you just fell into the shadows and we were going to sit still to get you back,” Rex said with a shocking amount of seriousness. Obi-Wan made a mental note to remind Jango to stop putting those ideas in their heads. The nightmares were never fun to deal with. He simply smiled and held his arms open without a word, Rex promptly slammed into his side. Without thinking he pressed a kiss to the top of the boy’s head. Ani seemed to grow jealous because he appeared rather suddenly at Obi-Wan’s other side and he promptly pressed a kiss to the top of Ani’s head, earning laughter from both boys. Rex, as if sensing Cody was being left out, moved just enough so that his twin and Boba could also get some attention. Obi-Wan pressed a kiss to the top of Cody’s head and tried to do the same to Boba, but Boba squirmed so he ended up kissing the baby on the forehead. Sharp pain appeared behind his ear and a startled swear word escaped him.
“Language,” Jango drawled out smugly from the door and watched as Obi-Wan attempted to free his padawan braid from the rather vice-like grip of Boba’s fist.
“Jango,” he hissed as the twins and Anakin merely laughed at his misfortune. Traitors. His soulmate finally took pity and waded into the fray so he could work at prying open Boba’s hand.
“I don’t know why you even have your hair down-” “Because I thought you were watching the children.” “...technically I was and then I wasn’t.” “Jango.” Jango knew a battle he was going to lose lay in front of him and decided to just steal a kiss to stop the oncoming debate. Obi-Wan hummed faintly into the kiss and was hardly surprised when Rex smacked Jango rather hard on the arm.
“No, kisses on the head,” Ani demanded loudly while the twins agreed.
Jango pulled back in confusion and Obi-Wan could only laugh at the cry for help settling over his soulmate’s face. “They want you to press a kiss to the top of their heads,” he translated. “I, uh, may have started it and clearly they need one from you as well.”

Te Dralyc Kar Ch 3 [Star Wars Fanfic]
Synopsis:
Jango isn’t quite sure how he came to adopt a blonde slave boy after a job on Tatooine went sideways, but he honestly couldn’t complain. The boy is a little genius, brimming with compassion and a willingness to learn. The only hiccup, as far as Jango is concerned, is the fact that his boy is a naturally powerful force user. Someone the jetii would want to get their hands on.
Of course- he’d just like to see them try.
[This story isn’t linear. More like a series of snapshots. At least until later chapters.]
Watching his son from the corner of his eye he stood with Dex at the front counter, talking quietly. He’d already paid for their meals but the information broker turned diner owner had some tidbits about his next target that more than made up for the delay. Anakin, the walking disaster magnet, was speaking with a little droid near the door of the diner. His kid was more than happy to talk specs in the chirps and whistles all droids were capable of producing. He still wasn’t sure how the blonde understood the language so damn quickly but he chalked it up to his kid being absolutely brilliant.
“K’tharsin, a Red Nikto, I’ve heard rumours he can be found on Karazak when he’s not doing business on Rorak 4.” Jango couldn’t help the vicious grin that crossed his face.
“Thanks for the tip, Dex.” The Besalisk gave him a sly smirk in return.
“Hey, word travels fast. Make sure you put a few of them down for me.” He glanced over at Anakin then back to Jango. “He’s a great kid.” Jango nodded in understanding. From the moment Anakin had come into his life it was clear to everyone how much he cared for his shu’shu’ika.
The door to the diner opened and he glanced over at the two jetii who entered. He grit his teeth, clenching his hand into a fist so he didn’t immediately grab his blaster, and kept them in his peripheral. As long as they didn’t try anything he would remain civil. For Anakin and Dex, if for no other reason.
“Before I forget, I grabbed that item for you.” He turned his attention back to Dex as the Besalisk rummaged around behind the counter. He handed over a take-out bag but judging by the weight Jango knew exactly what it was.
“I’m not supposed to talk to strangers!” The loud, and very firm, voice of his son grabbed his attention immediately. The two jetii who had come into the diner had stopped and the taller one, a beast of a man really, was bent nearly in half trying to talk to his kid. Anakin had backed away, watching the man warily. From where he was standing he couldn’t hear what the man said next but he could see his son reaching for the knife hidden at his back. The jetii’s redheaded companion, a jet’ika judging by the braid, was looking between the two of them before his blue-green eyes scanned the small diner. The lad took one look at him and his eyes went wide in a pale face.
As Jango strode angrily over to the jetiise Dex called out to them. “Qui-gon Jinn, you old rascal! What are you doing accosting my customers?” The older of the two jetii stood and looked toward the Besalisk, just as Jango forced himself between the man and his son. The jetii’s attention turned back to him and a smarmy smile crossed his face.
“Greetings, I am Jedi Master Qui-gon Jinn. I was just-”
“Back. Off. Now.” He spoke in a low growl that barely contained his anger. The man eyed him carefully, wary. He could probably feel the hatred pouring off Jango as he glared up at the man. The jetii took a few careful steps back, putting distance between them. The diner had gone quiet
“Has the child ever been tested for force sensitivity?” Jango bristled. He already knew Anakin was Ka’runi, he didn’t need to be tested. And he certainly didn’t need the jetii to learn how to control his abilities.
“No.” The man’s eyes narrowed.
“Is he your son?” His anger rose so sharply at the accusation in the man's tone of voice that his vision turned red at the edges.
“Master!” The word was sharp with a rebuke and both of them looked to the padawan. His face had turned a bright shade of red but he stood fast. “You need to speak with Dex about the mission. We are in a hurry, Master.” The jetii stood there a moment longer before nodding and walking away. The young man seemed to relax slightly but flinched when he looked back to Jango.
“For my guardian’s actions, I apologize greatly.” Surprise doused his anger as he watched the younger jetii bow low enough to expose the back of his neck. It was an apology he never thought he'd see coming from a jetii.
Behind him Anakin poked his head out, curiosity piqued. “You speak Mando’a?” The redhead smiled at the blonde.
“I do. I learned from a friend on Manda’yaim.” Jango wondered who in their right mind would teach a jetii their language but the redhead had a Kalevalan accent. So it was probably one of the pacifist ‘New Mandalorians,’ another group Jango despised.
“We’re leaving.” Anakin looked up at him and pouted slightly.
“Yes buir.” He looked back at the jetii and his eyes seemed to go unfocused for a moment. “See you later Obi.” The jetii stared at his son, slack jawed, but Jango’d had enough. Putting his hand against Anakin’s back he ushered the boy out of the diner, keeping himself between his son and the jetii.
On the trip back to the ship he looked down at his son. “How did you know his name?” Anakin smiled up at him.
“I saw him. He was in my vision. The one with the black lasersword.” Jango didn’t want to believe him… but he trusted Anakin’s visions. If the jetii was going to somehow become a part of his kid’s life he wanted to keep an eye on him. He’d gather as much information as he could on this… Obi.

Quick response to Mandalorian season finale
Behind a cut because, well.
Okay, yes, I am in this show for Dadalorian and Found Family etc. But I am at least as invested in the plotline this season about various factions of Mandalorians and their, for lack of a better word, sectarian disputes. Which frequently result in barfights. Because Mandalorians.
(AKA that scene where they picked up Bo and her minion was. A Delight.)
(Also, I love my girl Bo-Katan. Even if she’s very much a blunt instrument/not a politician going at this in all the wrong ways and was Very Rude to Boba but tbh I wasn’t 100% sure she was going to show up in this episode and I would’ve been Sad if we hadn’t gotten to see them meet. Either here or next season.)
(Still Sad at the lack of Sabine, though :( )
Leaving aside anything re: Gina Caranno (because that has been discussed by people much smarter and better-informed than myself), I’m kind of thrilled that the strike team was Almost Entirely Ladies.
(On that note. Uh. Does anyone else kinda. That little “Anyone else, we can take” smirk. And I just. Uh. Bo/Fennec, anyone??????)
(I kind of already ship Bo with Ventress tbh but a) multishipping ftw and b) threesome??????)
(Hi I’m shallow sometimes lol)
Anyway moving on.
Also the sound/almost-music when the Cylons Dark Troopers were activating was Excellent I approve.
And that Visual of the one trooper Din set on fire. ...honestly that whole hallway fight sequence was pretty Brilliant.
And the sort of...almost casual layer of the scene in the elevator. Even if these women haven’t worked together before, just that, “sure you don’t need any help with that?” “I got it. Excuse me.”
And that whole thing where Gideon was trying to Manipulate Din and he was like “...dude, I legit just care about the kid. I’ll fight for/with Bo-Katan because she’s pretty badass and I Might As Well plus she gets me what I want but I don’t...actually...Care about her Greater Cause?”
(Side note, I’ve spent a lot of time writing Bo-Katan/figuring out how her head works and literally all she cares about is Mandalore and its survival. It’s why she broke away from her sister in the first place, and has informed every single thing she’s done since. A lot of why she makes the specific choices she does goes back to the Mandalorian Civil War and her experiences there--especially since all the evidence indicates she was not with Satine and Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon. The way that separation and their different experiences of that conflict probably contributed to the eventual destruction of what seems likely to have been a Very Close Relationship before that is fascinating to me. And the subject of a fic I’ve been working on off and on for a couple years now, lol.)
(...anyway, where I was going with this was--I mean, yes, Gideon knows everything in terms of facts, but he doesn’t always interpret them correctly. IMO, Bo-Katan’s desire to rule Mandalore is less about power (for herself) than it is about Mandalore. Especially given some of what she says to Sabine in Rebels--if there was someone else she genuinely trusted to take the throne and rule her world, she’d be willing to cede her claim and be one of their generals. Especially since she’s very much not a political animal. She’s an excellent war leader, but not so much in terms of actual Governance.)
(insert long ramble about the Parallels between her and Anakin, which I touched on in one of my fanfics, lol; and will probably do more with in my BB project which involves the two of them and Padme as the main characters)
(And, yeah, she does want to fight Din for the right, but if she thought Din would be a good Duke/King of Mandalore, I think she would seriously considering swearing allegiance to him? Again, witness how she handled things with Sabine. Also she would probs prefer to avoid a third (fourth?) civil war in her lifetime. But, I mean. I love Din but he is. He is not a Leader. Not like her people need.)
(And I think the way things played out with Sabine affects her decisions here, too--she did accept the Darksaber as a gift/tribute then, but proceeded to lose it. Maybe she does need to fight for it the way Maul and Viszla did (presumably; we don’t know how he got the Darksaber; it may be something he inherited/have been held by House Viszla for a while, even if they never used it to dethrone the Kryzes until now).)
(But, then again, I mean, this has been her life for at least a decade, so...well, maybe she wouldn’t quite step aside. Even if an Absolutely Perfect candidate came along. But WRT Din specifically--given who he is and what he’s capable of, while she absolutely wants him in her camp (and on a personal level isn’t super thrilled about having to fight him like this; she seems to genuinely like this kid), my guess is she doesn’t want him ruling. Not without some more actual leadership training/experience. Because, well, he’s been either a follower or a loner in everything we’ve seen him in, and given Bo’s opinion of (possibly experience with?) the Watch/the group who raised him, and the fact that he’s consistently shown himself to have super-narrow priorities and not really caring about much outside of them...yeah, she probs has some Concerns.)
(Plus, he clearly doesn’t want it. And you have to Want It on some level in order to be an effective ruler--that Wanting can be from genuine altruism/wanting to make the world better, like we see with Bail and Padme; it can be from single-minded determination to Make Things Right, like Satine and I would argue Bo-Katan (Leia falls into either the first or second category, depending on the point in her storyline); and it can come from a desire for personal power and advancement (as we see with Pre Viszla and, of course, Skeev Palpatine himself; to be fair, rulers in this third category tend to be bad in other ways lol). But someone who genuinely doesn’t want power generally kind of Sucks when they’re unexpectedly handed it. Which I could cite several IRL historical examples of. And, I mean, obviously, this isn’t the only factor in play for what makes a good ruler/leader (see above re: Palps and Pre Viszla), but it is a factor.)
(Also, to clarify: none of these are bad qualities/traits, necessarily? Like, traits are good or bad depending on whatever context a person/character finds themself in. And in Din’s current context, with his current life and mission--even in situations where he has to coordinate with other groups in the service of a larger goal--these are excellent traits to have. But for someone who’s responsible for an entire nation? Not so much.)
(One could argue that Bo has some Issues there, too, albeit different ones, which is why I think she might be willing to step aside and cede her claim to a Genuinely Good/Better Alternative, if she found one. She’s a war-leader, not a ruler, and the two jobs require overlapping but different skillsets.)
(..........honestly? I don’t think the show would go there, but I think the two of them as a team/partnership ruling Mandalore would actually be really effective? Either on an equal footing or with one as the Official Ruler and the other as a second-in-command/right-hand. She has the leadership expertise and the actual will and drive to pull this off, and he has the diplomatic skill, as we see with the Tusken Raiders, among others.)
(Not a romantic partnership, lol, that would be Weird, but a political and probably eventually platonically affectionate one. Especially with how Mandalore feels about family of choice/adoption, and the fact that they’re both kind of alone now (whatever happened to Korkie, anyway??) even if no formal adoption is likely in their case...)
(Anyway. Uh. Long tangent aside...)
(also if there’s anyone who didn’t see Gideon trying to decapitate Din when his back was turned...IDEK what you were expecting. Like. I am All About guys like Pellaeon in the Imperial ranks, and the fact that there might be a few people who would make that offer/deal and be on the level. To say nothing of my best beloved Alexsandr Kallus. But. Uh. Gideon is. Not one of them.)
(Also, I thought it was a Nice Touch when the spear started turning red--because, no, the Darksaber can’t cut pure beskar. But it does generate heat, as we’ve seen in, say, TPM. And beskar does melt.)
Also, called it on tossing the Cylons Dark Troopers out the airlock Not Working in the long term.
While it’s not Cool or Flashy like a bomb or slicing, the Cylons Dark Troopers pounding the doors down with their goddamn fists was Cool and Terrifying in all the best ways.
Side note--I think even if I hadn’t been spoiled (forgot to mute the spoiler channels on the SW Discords I’m on before going to bed, and checked on autopilot), X-wing + Grogu perking up would’ve probably clued me in and I would’ve been SHRIEKING. I was still vibrating super hard even though I knew who was coming, but it probably would’ve been slightly more XD
(and then a moment of HAHA GIDEON KNOWS WHAT’S COMING)
(and so does my girl Bo)
(and then the green ‘saber and the glove and other costume details and IF YA DIDN’T SCREAM BEFORE YOU SURE ARE NOW!!!!)
(Kind of cool that they waited until the last minute before showing his actual face though)
NO MY GIRL BO-KATAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(IF YOU DIE WHO WILL GET DRUNK AND SWAP WAR STORIES AND MAYBE HAVE VICTORY SEX WITH FENNEC)
(shut up i’m shallow)
(also I love her she’s legit one of my favorite characters in this series I don’t want her to die DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD:)
OH GOOD SHE GOT UP
(yeah that was my actual real-time reaction to her getting shot lol)
“Talent without training is nothing.” ::insert Obvious/Tired joke about Luke having all of three months’ training At Best::
(also, I mentioned this in my last quick reaction, as well as elsewhere, but I’m...still kind of uncomfortable with the continuing implication that the Jedi path is the only option other than Darkness. Not because it’s a bad one, either in the PT-era or with Luke’s reconstruction. But the idea that the only way to achieve the mindset/emotional stability/whatever needed to wield the Force without Falling is through adapting the Jedi philosophy sits wrong with me. especially the implication that you can only do so from an early age/in isolation from other influences or bonds; which is a word I’m using very specifically because there’s a difference between Attachment as defined by the Jedi and interpersonal bonds which they clearly have and I don’t want this to get derailed by that particular Discourse(tm) That doesn’t even super hold up on Earth, with a single species, let alone in a galaxy with trillions of beings of multiple different species. Basically, people and the galaxy--and by extension the Force, which is in part created/influenced by living beings--are way too complicated for there to be only one right answer.)
(Also, it...doesn’t really hold up with the core message of Star Wars, which is about Choice? If the only way you can be a Good Force Adept is by meeting this extremely narrow set of criteria, most of which are outside your possible control......but I should probably save this for a separate post, lol.)
(The point is, I mentioned earlier in the post how much I’m LOVING the throughline in this season about different factions/sects among Mandalorians, and I think it would be Great if we got more of that with Jedi/Light adepts.)
(Anyway. Uh. Back to the episode...)
That FACE MOMENT had me legit crying omg
ARTOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!@@21!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
omg had they MET
I...don’t know what I was expecting from the credits but Welp. I wonder who the body double was...
(And before you ask, I didn’t really get the Uncanny Valley effect from Rogue One, not even Tarkin, so.....yeah, I guess I don’t always pick up on that, or it hits me from weird directions, lol. Because I sometimes get that from the Rebels animation, especially in stills/gifsets, because everyone’s faces are all so Smooth...)
.........Jabba’s palace, okay.
.......Bib Fortuna, Okay.
(those fingernails, however, are Not Okay)
YAY RESCUE THE GIRL.
Good on you, Boba, just shooting him in the face instead of letting him posture!
although why you want to rule Tatooine is...okay then.
LOL at Fennec perching on the arm of the chair, sipping her booze all casual-like.
Right! So that was an Experience! Overall, I liked it. Looking forward to how Din and Bo handle things moving forward, in particular! Because, like I said, I’m in this series for Dadalorian (so IDK how I’ll feel with it no longer being the Core Story since Grogu left with Luke) and in this season for the Mandalorian factions/sects and how they interact.
I’m also not sure how I feel about three interconnected series leading up to a Major Finale Event? Disney’s Star Wars has not had a super great track record with giving all the information needed to follow things in the core product (see: the ST worldbuilding lol, and also some of the cameos/appearances in this season, even), so I’m Skeptical of how well they’ll do explaining what is Necessary in each of the three series, in case someone only watches one or two.
What were your thoughts?

ok but please tell us about the hunger games/the clone wars au and also the dr sleep/the clone wars au i needs it
aaaahHHH thank you for asking!!!!! my heart always bursts at these asks about these au’s uhhh, lemme get myself organized:
so the thg/tcw au...i have many ideas/am still in the outlining process of this fic, but um, i have some ideas:
- obi-wan’s the adopted son of one of the old hunger games victors, so he’s got some more advantages, even though. you know. still sucks that he’s about to enter an arena where he has to fight to the death. he’s in his last year of viability for the hunger games, too.
- anakin, like his tcw self, only has his mom. he’s wicked good with machinery (so idk what district that would put him in? 3, i think, if i remember correctly?), and he helps his mom run shop. since he’s an only child, he doesn’t really have to put his name in as much as the other kids, but the past year has been really difficult, so he puts his name in a few more times than he usually would. and of course he gets chosen.
- this is ahsoka’s first year of entering her names for the hunger games, and of course she gets chosen, too. little girl puts on a brave face, though, even though it pains the entire district to see this little child sent off already.
- qui-gon is the one who mentors obi-wan/padme is the one who mentors anakin (also anakin lowkey has a crush on her but uhhh anakin please focus you’re literally going to die if you don’t)/rex is the one who mentors ahsoka (and double the pain because rex is quickly impressed and also sad because this little kid is so full of heart)
- obi-wan and anakin and ahsoka all wind up meeting each other because all of their mentors weirdly know each other? (there will be an explanation for this later but ssshh spoilers)
- um obi-wan’s just like “don’t get attached don’t get attached don’t--” and then anakin and ahsoka rope him into whatever they’re doing and he’s just like “dammit”
- when the games start, things get really bad really fast. anakin and obi-wan and ahsoka are all briefly separated, and then they reunite. mostly through a series of “oops i accidentally on purpose saved your life i probably shouldn’t have done that because we’re going to have to kill each other eventually but uhhh for now can we just stick together”
- lots of trying to survive/briefly having these weird happy moments (anakin pushes obi-wan into a stream. ahsoka teaches anakin how to hang upside down from a tree branch. obi-wan always insists taking first watch and he just quietly stays up the whole night despite the fact that anakin and ahsoka both tell him to wake them for their own shifts.)
- i won’t go any further at this point because uhhh spoilers + also i haven’t figured out the ending yet but expect a lot of bittersweet found family things
as for the doctor sleep au:
- obi-wan and anakin are both traumatized from the events of their past so :((( lots of nightmares and not knowing quite how to cope but still trying to cope. they’re trying their best.
- there’s a day when anakin and obi-wan are both Not Having a Good Day, and ahsoka, sensing it from miles and miles away, takes the opportunity to write on their wall Every Five Minutes Until They Feel Better. (“obi-wan the kid’s doing it again” “oh for heaven’s sake--”)
- i picture obi-wan to basically look like danny torrance thank u ewan mcgregor pls i just want him to wear sweaters and jeans and also that really nice jacket
- the time ahsoka gets kidnapped by creep palpatine’s goons is not fun, not good, very scary
- anakin and obi-wan basically take turns doing the ThingTM where like?? anakin + obi-wan + ahsoka are all in ahsoka’s body?? (very much like that scene with dan and abra in crow daddy’s car.) basically, they scare the living shit out of palpatine’s goon because ahsoka’s eyes just keep changing shades of blue (anakin’s deep blue, obi-wan’s blue-grey, ahsoka’s own bright blue), and even though ahsoka’s still speaking in her own voice, the tone changes like every few seconds as anakin and obi-wan and ahsoka take turns speaking. (“this car is such a mess, very much like your room, anakin” “hey, it’s not that bad” “can you two please stop for like, two seconds? we’re still in the car!!!” meanwhile, palpatine’s goon is just going holy shit holy shit holy shit--)
- anyways they get their shit together enough to just spin the car out of control (and then anakin + obi-wan are both basically screaming in ahsoka’s head like “are you okay please are you okay are you okay” and ahsoka just groans and is like “yes i’m fine pls can you lower the volume”)
- i’m still in the process of outlining the exact details/plot of this fic too, but that’s like the one scene i have in perfect clarity so uhhh i hope you enjoyed???
