Sdv Age and Height Headcanons

A/N: hi! It’s officially my birthday(the 15th) and I am now 23 :((((( I didn’t know what to post because everything is in the works right now but I wanted to post something to celebrate in a way so here!! Only base game stardew characters so no ridgeside or expanded. I do count Rasmodius/Marlon/Gunther/Morris as base game even though they’re expanded upon in mods. If anyone has questions for me (personal or about my fics or whatever) feel free to request or ask!!

Tw: none other than a mention of death in Shane’s part.

Sebastian

We always have to start with the loml (it tries to autocorrect loml to mommy and lonely btw)

I think he’s about 23-26 I think he has a degree in IT but I’m not sure. He has to be able to have graduated or taken classes or something.

I think he’s 5’10 at the shortest and 6’2 maybe 6’2 1/2 at the tallest.

Idk just seems tall to me because he’s lowkey intimidating.

Sam

Him and Abigail are in the same age range. I think they were born in the same year.

This means he is about 22-25 and his birthday occurs right after summer break(maybe I should do birthday headcanons?)

I think he is a very tall boy(keep in mind that I am short af so what I mean by very tall depends)

So maybe he is 5’10 at the shortest like Seb and 6’3 at the tallest.

I think him and Seb can be interchangeable when it comes to height? Both of them however come behind Harvey and Elliott but not by a lot.

Shane

The shortest bachelor for sure

I think he is very short and stocky he gives me big strong dad energy like your dads not the tallest but man is strong af.

So maybe 5’5-5’8? I mean 5’8 isnt short at all really but keep in mind I’m saying this is the tallest he can be, and the height really does make some guys seem really short when in reality they arent( also my phone tried to add king every time I typed short so there’s that)

Among the older bachelors so about 31-35?

I feel like that’s enough time to go from playing football(sorry gridball) in high school, getting a scholarship to play in college, dropping out to take care of his goddaughter when his friends die and becoming depressed.

He just seems like a 30 something year old going through the trenches :(.

Harvey

I think the oldest out of the bachelors and bachelorettes. He has gone to med school and that is I think at least like 4 years then 8 years? Unless I’m wrong lmao

So I think he would be around 35-38

He’s an older man that has spent his life helping people it’s so cute

He is on the taller side. In my mind he gives gentle giant vibes.

So 6’0 at the shortest and maybe 6’5 at the tallest. I think he towers over people but his posture is so bad that no one notices.

Alex

I think he is between the ass trio and Maru so 21-24

I think he graduated high school only a couple years prior to year one because of how passionate he is about gridball and how he thinks it’ll happen I don’t think anyone older would be like “someday I’ll go pro” they’d be crushed already

I think he is 6’0 exactly. He gives off 6 feet vibes like I can see that if he had a tinder profile it would 100 percent say “I’m 6’0 btw”

Elliott

I think he’s 34 exactly.

He seems like during his 20s he worked in the family business, he did what was told of him because he didn’t really know how to be an adult.

Then when he hit 30 he decided that he didn’t want anything to do with the family business and decided to move to Pelican Town to follow his dreams of writing.

He had enough money saved up to move and cut contact with his parents after they threatened to disown him because of him choosing to chase his dreams.

I think he is up there with Harvey as I’ve already said. I think they could be the same height range and who is taller is interchangeable.

So 6’0-6’5 really. Gives off hunk on the cover of a romance novel vibes.

Penny

I think she’s around 24-26. And I do think she has a teaching license and an education degree so this would give her enough time to have graduated and come back to Pelican Town after like a year of teaching in the city.

She seems sort of mature but immature at the same time, like immature when it comes to romance and dating, and sort of life but also she has the vibes of an introvert that was forced to mature quickly so she is good at making decisions, but at the same time her emotions are out of whack.

I think she’s a petite girl she doesn’t look very tall at all.

So I think she’s 5’2-5’5 I think for women to me 5’5 that’s the cap on people seeming short to me for women.

Abigail

Luckily I didn’t have to think about this too hard because I already answered this in one of my very first posts

I think she is 5’4 to 5’8 (sorry I’m American so 162 to 172 cm?)

She’s the first one I’m doing I’m not converting everyone but it’s like 2.5 cm per inch and 30.5 per foot

Her age is around 22-25 in year 1 I think. I know I’m my original Abigail headcanon I said oldest is 24 but I think 25 is okay.

She is amongst the youngest in her grade level during school years.

Haley

I think she’s on the younger side, like the same age range as Alex. Especially because she gives the vibes if she just graduated and hasn’t grown out of her mean girl/insecure personality

So she’s about 21-24

I think she’s similar to Abigail where she gives off like petite girl energy but also tall girl energy. Like I feel like she was a cheerleader and people always said that she could model so maybe she’s on the taller side

So maybe 5’4-5’7

Idk what it is about women that are 5’7 are specifically beautiful to me, they seem super tall but not so tall that it makes me feel like they’re a giant, their arms and legs are long idkidk.

Emily

She’s the older sister of Haley, and I think she’s pretty close to Shane and Gus so I think she’s on the older side

I also think that she could be the oldest out of all the bachelorettes.

So maybe 29-35

She seems a lot more mature than Haley, as well as understanding and confident in her life and her choices

As well as she doesn’t seem insecure or as if she’s weird at all like I think younger people are.

I think her height range is very small compared to the others like

She’s 5’5-5’6

She gives off the vibes for that like not too short not too tall just average.

Maru

In my opinion Maru is the youngest out of the bachelorettes AND bachelors because I think everyone is around the same age and she’s the younger sister of Sebastian who I think is closer to everyone else’s ages so it makes her younger.

I think she’s about 19-21

Like yes she’s working as a nurse, but it’s a small town and she’s an actual genius, I don’t think they care that she’s young. Besides Harvey handles everything on his own she mostly does paperwork and assistant stuff.

Her height has to be around like 5’2-5’4 I think she is a very small girl despite Robin and Demetrius being a little on the taller side.

Leah

I think she might be the second oldest out of the bachelorettes

Like her backstory is her working in a dead end job, she was in a longtime relationship and could’ve gotten married had she not decided to leave

So she’s about 27-31 she’s not the same age as Emily, but she does hang out with Elliott so I think she’s a little older.

I think she’s about 5’6 she makes me feel as if she’s about average in heigh because of how artistic she is I feel like anyone smaller would be very disadvantaged when carving or doing anything and so would someone taller.

Pierre

I think he would be about 5’9-5’11

Like he doesn’t seem too tall but he does give me taller side energy

Would probably tell people he’s 6 feet bc he gives me the vibes of someone who would because he wants to seem like he’s perfect.

I think he’s like 45-48

He is for sure older than Caroline especially because I believe he is into the traditional gender roles which means younger wife and older husband.

Caroline

Caroline I think is a very average woman. And not by looks because I think she actually would be quite attractive like I feel like she would be vERY beautiful.

I mean in terms of her body, she isn’t too big or too small, she didn’t have too much fat or too little her body is just average.

So I think she would be 5’4-5’6

I also think all of the moms are in a similar age range so she would be 44-47

Honestly with the way they’re designed I would’ve said 30s but that would make no sense if their kids are in the marrying age/having kids range.

Jodi

I think she is on the shorter side, she gives me short thicc mom energy. Especially because Kent is a military man.

So maybe 5’2-5’5 bc I think Kent towers over her and so does Sam. The kids did not get her genes because I do think Vincent would be quite tall when he is an adult.

I also think she would be like 43-46 she has a kid that’s an adult and a kid that’s a child so I think this age range would be more plausible for her to have had one kid young and the other one at an older age.

Kent

Is large and in charge like BIG MAN

So I think he must be 6’2-6’5

Like towers over most people and intimidates them based on size alone.

Similar age as Jodi. I think they probably were in the same grade in high school so same age 43-46

Vincent

Right now like as of year 1 would probably be tiny

Like people think he’s going to turn out like Jodi but would actually turn out to be like Kent and Sam and be huge.

So maybe like 3’10?

Kinda small for his age but not like super small?

He is probably 6 or 7 years old

Granny Evelyn is probably TINY

Like I think she is 4’9

She’s so cute and small and was probably taller when she was younger

Was probably on the taller side before he was wheelchair bound.

Probably 5’11 exactly like not super tall but tall enough.

Him and Evelyn have such a big height gap and it’s ADORABLE.

I think the oldest out of the parents

So maybe 49-54

She hates the fact that she’s on the older side out of the parents, especially because she isn’t really close to the others as much as she would like to be. She feels out of place among them.

I think she’s about 5’6 I can see her being VERY beautiful when she was younger, and she probably still has a nice body and face, especially if she stops drinking.

Lewis

His ass is probably in his 60s but sees himself as younger

I think 60s isn’t really old at all, like it’s still enough time to do different things.

But his glory days are over

Clint

I think he might be younger than Emily. His crush seems very immature to me. And it makes him a little less incel-y but idk.

So maybe 27-30?

He’s definitely old enough to know not to act a fool but like it makes sense at this age that he’s an asshole after being rejected for so long y’know.

I think he’s maybe 5’9? Not too short but not too tall. Definitely thinks being taller could’ve helped his situation.

Gunther

I cannot tell anything about this man at ALL

He’s very mysterious

He’s probably 5’10 too since I think he’s able to see something on the shelves, and he can see over the counter.

He’s on the older side. Idk if he has kids or anything, but he gives dad vibes

Very sweet and that’s what gives me the father vibes.

Also he doesn’t seem like a gossip but knows a lot which gives me that age range.

I think he’s either 5’6 or 6’3 nothing else. I think 5’6 is more likely though.

I think he is a little younger than Robin. It’s lowkey what makes him and Sebastian to be so bad at getting along.

Old enough to be a dad but not really old enough I guess.

I think he is VERY tall. Especially since in game it looks like he has a little height over Robin.

I think she had Sebastian at 20? Maybe younger but I think 20 is a good age. She was young and barely out of teenagedom that her parents were probably upset.

I think she’s a little tall but not too tall like 5’7

Marlon

I think he’s in his 50s? So 50-60

I think he is younger than Lewis and that’s also why they can’t really get along other than Marnie.

Like tall enough that when fighting monsters he has no disadvantage but not so tall that he can’t get anything done.

Linus

He is also mysterious.

He looks old but at the same time he lives in nature and his looks probably don’t match his age.

Some 70 year olds look young and can move around and I don’t doubt that he is agile due to him being a nature man.

Leo

On the taller side of kids.

So sort of like 4’5 or almost 5’0

I think Leo is older than Jas and Vincent

But not too much older that it’s weird.

Marnie

I think she is on the older side. I don’t think that she is too old, for sure younger than Lewis

I think she’s like 50-56?

Young enough that Lewis wants to sleep with her for sure

Also young enough that she still hopes by some miracle that she has a child

I think he is either like super old like hundreds of years or like a mortal person old

Random things I noticed while playing What Remains Of Edith Finch

There was a poster of the cannery that Lewis worked at on the boat.

2. Edith Jr wears what appears to be an engagement on a necklace. Whether this is her ring or her mothers is not mentioned.

3. At the start of the game, Milton's missing posters are EVERYWHERE. There is even a giant pile of them in a nearby lake.

4. The dragon slide that crushed and killed Sven is still outside.

5. As you walk toward the house, the music gets louder.

6. The swing that Calvin flew off decades ago is still looped around the branch.

7. There was a spare peep hole in the garage that didn't have any names or dates on it.

8. At multiple points throughout the game you can hear a train in the background, despite the fact that the train tracks are clearly destroyed.

9. There are multiple pots throughout the Finch house that looks like they have eyes.

10. One of the books the Finches possessed was 'King in Yellow', a book known for making anyone who read it insane.

11. The house sounds alive, or like there are people constantly moving around it.

12. Walters bedroom is painted with both ocean and train designs. One of the paintings is the old house that Odin tried to bring to America.

13. There are drag marks on the ground of Walters bedroom (most likely made when his drawers were taken out of his room.)

14. The entrance to the tunnels is hidden by a book called 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, a classic sci-fi story about a sea monster.

15. Molly's room is filled entirely with animal books.

16. There is a jelly fish on Molly's bed (possible connection to the monster??).

17. Molly has a chalkboard in her bedroom where she is a princess in an underwater castle and Sven is about to get attacked by a sea monster (slightly resembling the dragon slide).

18. As shark!Molly starts falling down the cliff, she passes a road where headlights are briefly scene.

19. When the monster gets back to Molly's room, the window that cat!Molly jumped through is still open.

20. There are still Christmas decorations in Molly's room.

21. The curse is 500 years old. That is a lot of dead people.

22. In Odin's viewfinder, it states "His [Odin's] daughter, Edie, is already dreaming of new Finch house" showing that even though her own father died not even a week ago, Edie has already moved on.

23. The house is filled head to toe with books about death, including two that Odin wrote.

24. Sven's shrine does not have a log painting like the rest of the family. His portrait is painted on a simple canvas.

25. Edie has a number of strange tapes in her room including one titled "conspiracy now".

26. The toys from Gregory's final bath are still in the bathroom.

27. There is an old bottle of alcohol in the bathroom bin.

28. A lot of Sam's photos are based on Calvin (a swing, astronauts).

29. All of Milton's drawings are based on the death. (Molly = cat, Barbara = pumpkin)

30. There are cigarettes and gin on Sam's side of the room he shared with Calvin.

31. Calvin already had bruises, Band-Aids and a cast on his leg when he died.

32. Sam blames himself for challenging Calvin.

33. In the story, Calvin doesn't fall. He keeps flying.

34. Barbara's birthday cake is still in her room.

35. Barbara is holding crutches in her portrait.

36. There are totem-esc styles statues of both Calvin and Molly

37. Barbara's outfit is over the railing.

38. "Performance of her life" can also mean that it is the performance she is known for.

47. This isn't a fact but I think this may be one of the funniest photos of the game (LIKE SIR? YOUR DAUGHTER IS SOBBING!).

Hero Vision Vol.1 (2000/Winter) Changerion Reunion Interviews ft. Takashi Hagino & Aizawa Kazunari (translations below)

Takashi Hagino & Aizawa Kazunari: After 4 years, a date in Harajuku

Hey you two, how are you doing these days? It's been 4 years since the end of the broadcast. You two had a fateful encounter in "Choukou Senshi Changerion," an unusual heroic show that still remains popular to this day. We asked Takashi Hagino and Kazunari Aizawa, who say they still get along well with each other, about their memories of those days, and what their future plans are.

Main Interview Section

"I'm going to say it now. I mean it, I'm really going to say it right now! Changerion was really entertaining! It was truly a masterpiece! Suzumura Akira, a happy go lucky, good natured, 182cm tall, cat eyed, beautiful private investigator, and his partner, Hayami Katsuhiko, a 183cm tall, hot blooded and direct individual with a handsome face, are both on the side of justice. Kuroiwa Shogo, the Dark Knight, is an elite who's handsome, also quite tall I guess, and is running for governor of Tokyo in order to seize control of the city. A slapstick comedy and super cool tokusatsu hero show, with a mixture of fiction and reality, something like this most definitely existed in 1996 Tokyo. On the day of this interview, I was so excited to hear their voices saying, "Good morning~!" The appearance of those two standing there looked really really cool! And so begins the converstions full of laughter between Takashi Hagino, who plays the main character Suzumura Akira, and Aizawa Kazunari, who plays his partner Hayami Katsuhiko."

-Casting!! Secret Stories?-

Hagino: At that time, the role was the same as it always was, wasn't it? I went to a party at some production company, and someone was like, "Ah, you there," and told to come in for an audition. When I went to it, Shirakura-san, the producer, and Nagaishi-san, the main director, were smiling ear to ear once they saw me. I remember thinking, "What, why are you smiling like that?" I was 22 at the time of my debut, so it was about 5-6 years after I dropped out of high school. Before that, the movies that came out around that time made me think that acting was really interesting.

"You've also appeared in a V-Cinema that contains slightly adult content."

Hagino: It's bad. Please don't watch it (laughs). Watch something else where I look cool.

Kazunari: For me, I had just started acting, and my manager took me to Toei's head office to introduce myself. I announced that I was new and would be in their care, and then a strange old man came up to me and said, "Are you the one?" (everyone laughs).

Hagino: Wait! Was he trying to flirt with you?!

Kazunari: Uh, no, you see, my shoelaces became untied in the hallway, so I had to sit on the floor to retie them. He came up to me and said, "What's wrong?" I said, "Ah, no, I'm an actor," and he said, "Come with me then!" Things got carried away, and before I knew it, I went in for an audition.

Hagino: So, who was that guy?

Kazunari: He was……a really good guy to say the least, I actually don't remember his name.

Hagino: You're terrible! (laughs).

Kazunari: No, no. Look, it's because, it's just…anyway, so, at first, I was reading the script without knowing which one of us would play the role. Then, when it was down to just a few people, they asked me, "Which role do you want to play?" I was like, "Well, Hayami, I guess." I wondered if this was it, and then I passed, I passed……huh.

Hagino: Can we get some more joy here?

Kazunari: Well, it's because I really didn't understand. I didn't really feel it when I was suddenly told that I got the job. What's more, I still had no idea how hard it was going to be. No, rather, you really don't know what's going to happen in this world.

"Thank goodness for untied shoelaces and nice people"

-I'm not awkward!-

Hagino: I was asked to read my lines in front of everyone. Naturally, the producer told me that in the future, he would never have me read my lines at the audition for a leading role ever again (everyone laughs). No, I thought it went really well, and while I was a favorite to play this role, somehow I was also the worst. One of the more important people there looked as if he was going "?" all while tilting his head. He looked really nervous. He said, "From now on, when we present leading role auditions to the higherups, we won't make them read lines." He also said, "If you go with this guy, then shut him up and pick him already."

"It's true, Akira's acting wasn't very good, and I felt so embarrassed watching that I wasn't even able to finish the first episode. But, I could never think of anyone else playing Suzumura Akira but Takashi Hagino, and I still think that way after seeing him again after four years."

Hagino: But, back then, I definitely had some momentum. I was always told "You're a perfect fit for the role of Akira!," and a part of me got carried away over it, it felt like my nose was growing just like Pinocchio, except this nose is of brilliant glass. If Pinocchio's nose was made of glass, it would be really beautiful and sparkling.

"He smiles cheerfully and says that such things give him "the power" to play a role."

Hagino: But, you know, it's going to break someday. When that happens, only then will you understand.

"Afterall, Akira, aren't you suppost to be an adult?"

-First Impressions-

Hagino: We first met in an elevator, right?

Kazunari: Yeah, it was in an elevator. When I was on my way to the audition area.

Hagino: I said, "Huh? What's with the long hair?"

Kazunari: Yeah, it was really long.

Hagino: Incredibly long, it was tied in a single knot, along with wearing black jeans and a black shirt. I noticed him and asked, "What floor?" He said, "8th floor, hurry it up."

Kazunari: You liar! No, I politely said, "I'm going to the 8th floor, please."

Hagino: Well, I don't know, I guess that's just how bad my impression of you was (laughs).

Kazunari: Somehow, I never thought that the two of us would be working together.

Hagino: Yeah, I had costume fitting, and they told me that my partner was coming, and then the absolute worst guy came walking in.

Kazunari: Hey now (laughs).

Hagino: Because we seemed so similar in type, I thought there was no way the two of us would be together. Then he came in. And, as you can see, he's handsome, incredibly so. And…uwah. He stands out just by standing still. I really have to do my best here. Even still, I feel good with this guy. I can't imagine anyone else, as I'm already spoiled being stuck with him.

"Oh? Hayami is smiling shyly as he listens."

-Dramatic Drunks-

Hagino: When we drink together, we end up staying up until morning, right?

Kazunari: Yeah, when I see him, all he does is drink.

Hagino: When drunk, this guy tries jumping backwards. He gets really mad. When he stomps, it makes a nice sound.

Kazunari: I see… (pretending not to know)

Hagino: I end up joining him (grinning)

Kazunari: It seems I do alot of unacceptable things.

Hagino: Not really. He says that like I'm trying to wring it out of him. Well, guess I'll just go home then… (walks straight past him)

Kazunari: I do drink abit too much.

Hagino: I feel like a fighter when it comes to alcohol. I'm trying not to lose my memory here.

Kazunari: This guy makes people drink all the time. He'll ask, "Want some sake?" It seems I don't drink for myself, rather, I only drink due to the influence of other people. (to Hagino) Hey, you, you're the reason I always end up getting drunk.

"As usual, they are the best of friends."

-Acting, Theatre and Films-

Kazunari: Basically, about halfway through Changerion's filming, my impression of him was, "Ah, this guy, he's actually really serious.

"Oh? Somehow, Akira looks very happy."

Hagino: That's because, you know, it took me a long time to properly get into the role.

Kazunari: In our current ranks, we don't get into such big roles on TV or movies. I often get a role at the last minute, and have to act on the spot, so I think that because I can practice for a month on stage, movies really require alot of power in comparison.

Hagino: It's definitely different from Changerion, where we could say, "Let's take our time and work on it." I won't be able to make it if I try to wing it. But, if you ask me if I can act in the moment, I can't play the role of a big shot, because I think it wouldn't come off as authentic, but it'll be the best I can do, so it's important to know how much you can work with in such a short period of time.

Kazunari: I think about it alot. When I get a role, I'll think about it for a long time, doing research by watching similar movies, reading books, and so on, then, build up an image. Finally, once on set, adjust it as I see fit.

Hagino: My perception of acting has changed. I'll still watch the videos, and think, "Wow, I really did it~." But, there are also scenes where I'll say, "Oh, I don't think I can do this now." There are so many scenes like that. Although, it's a great opportunity to get into the swing of things, because you end up transforming yourself. The more I got into the rhythm, my surroundings were also in rhythm, so I was able to stay on track. Changerion was a a unique experience, and I don't think I could have done it alone.

Kazunari: The final broadcast was on Christmas, right?

So yeah Jude graduated from USC at the age of 23 and he was recruited for olympic court when he was 25. He considers the Trojan's his family and still keeps in touch with all the upper classmen who he used to play with. He's very much taken the Trojan attitude into his professional career. He's known as a team player on the court and also a huge activist off the court. He's now involved in presenting the Day Spirit Award every year and he's incredibly proud to have been apart of the team consistently winning it. While Ilya falls into the Just Some Guy category, Jude really takes it up like 10 levels into Golden Child territory. He's the favored one for press duty and is most involved with his teams social media. He's usually the one to sit down for the little games or the ask me anything's or the interviews everyone else deems pointless.

Jude was diagnosed with depression when he was 19 after he came to Rhemann confessing that he had been self harming for a few months after the workload with his class got more difficult for him to manage and he started thinking about committing suicide. He was diagnosed with adhd a few years later when he was 22 and now he now manages both with a mixture of therapy and medication. He's not perfect and obviously that didn't get rid of his depression but he has always had a safe space to talk about it and to get the help he needs. He advocates a lot for mental health in general but especially where athletes where it tends to get ignored with all the pressure put on them and he brings that into all of his relationships with his teammates trying to create a safe space for them. He is a huge factor in actually getting Em, Mara, and Florian to see therapists and he's who Florian calls after his 5th attempt and takes him to the hospital.

I need y'all to know that Jude popped into my head literally today. He was named like 3 hours ago. So this is all just kind of developing as I yap about him. He's big on team inclusion. Doesn't want anyone to feel left out. At first Ilya really butted heads with Mara and Florian cause they were Raven's and Jude was basically the one to get sick of that and tell them they needed to shut the fuck up and put on their get along t-shirt

He's generally pretty outgoing and he loves a good party. And by party he means hosting his team and having some food and drinks and visiting with every one. Though he does go a little crazy after a win and he will probably not get home till like 6 in the morning and then will sleep for a full 24 hours

He comes off as very loud and flirtatious to most people, most people will think he is flirting even when he isn't and he has accidentally agreed to multiple dates before realizing they were dates and having to awkwardly let people down. He doesn't really date much, not seriously, largely because of how involved he is with the media portion of his job. If he does end up dating (and I don't have anyone set up for him yet) it'd most likely be another exy player who is also super involved with the media and interacting with the press

May 18, 1995

Donald had a stroke. He was too ill to talk to me tonight on the phone. Pat was there, caring for them both, Donald and his Mom. I said I’d be there Sunday AM for a visit.

May 21, 1995

Drove to Patterson to take Donald donuts and fresh flowers. He and his Mom were thrilled.

Donald now loses his hearing.

May 22, 1995. Monday

Talked with Donald tonight. He sounded drifty, floating. Yet, he was crystal precise as to fact and time. I told him that I was very concerned about his physical deterioration. His 84 year old Mom can’t care for him alone.

July 6, 1995

My Mom said to me tonight “Don’t match up with a person with Aids again soon…I’m worried about your mental health.”

July 11, 1995. Tuesday

Los Gaviotas Restaurant in Patterson threw a big 5 year anniversary party tonight. There I sat, writing my notes and enjoying the spray of events! Then on to Donald, and then to his Mom’s, and then back to Donald.

Donald sees men in his room One man is in a tank top. One looks like his boy friend. They are men who are not there, at least our eyes. They at times speak to Donald.

I’m so glad that Donald is in the hospital. He needs that close care. But, how much longer must he endure this?

July 14, 1995

Sweet time with Donald. Such an alone experience. Two men with no choice but to be there (Donald and I)…one giving a back rub, one receiving it. I asked him “When all is gone, what’s left? What’s the meaning? He said He’d go to a gay bar in Stockton. (after death) I said “Where is the meaning there? He said “I haven’t thought that far ahead yet.” I said “ You have handled this so graciously. You are so kind (Donald now being nearly blind due to complications caused bt Aids), He said “Oh great, I get the posthumous award?” I said “ Yea, a great thing!” A nurse wanted to show him pictures of her grand kids. He tried , but he could not see them. She, wearing her badge complete with Aids red ribbon, then proceeded to tell him what they looked like, what they wore.. Fuck the eyes! He’s got ears. As one nurse walked by laughing, he yelled out, catting around with her.

I massage him, especially his back. He loves that.

Around 5pm, he started yelling for home. His Mom was there.The nurses and I tried to console him. This is home, as horrifying as it is.

July 16, 1995

I again didn’t visit Donald. 2 days away now. Poor dear thing. My whole soul and being however are with him. I just needed breathing space.

July 17, 1995

Sweet time with Donald tonight. He wants to die happy, meaning, with the knowledge that he will be remembered.

He feels abandoned now by friends and family and by and large , he has been abandoned. Yet, his Mom is very devoted. Pat was there tonight and Donald’s friend Bob showed up. Even in this advanced stage of Aids, Donald wants to score!

July 18, 1995

A visit again with sweet Donald. He floats in and out of full and of partial hallucinations. He goes hot, then cold, in a minute.

July 28, 1995

Rodney died yesterday at 11am. Lots of gasping, per the nurse. Rodney’s Mom had just stepped out. The nurse ran to get her. His sister was not there. Donald and his Mom set feet away, in their space. Grueling beauty. Unspeakable. (Rodney was Donald’s Aids patient room mate. They were patients in the Patterson hospital , where the last stage Aids patients in Stanislaus county were sent Note. 2/12/2024)

July 29, 1995

Donald said as I left today “You made me happy.” He made me happy, too. I had purchased a card for Rodney , his roomy who died. Donald’s Mom, his friend Randy and I signed it. So will the hospital staff. That meant a lot to Donald. And, I brought him flowers which he can’t see, but that he appreciates. His Mom can see them however.

I think I got blocked so I will now talk about Silas and post in his tag and you all have to suffer... or you like what I'm going to write.

The white wolf really is such a mysterie which is a pity. Whe know literally nothing but his name and what he kind of looks like.

All we know about him are from very untrustworthy sources.

One is Travis who is telling us what Kaylee told him.

Travis assumes that Eliza is not Silas' real mother. But we don't know that. Eliza looks really old so how likely is it? Well, it can still be true that Eliza is indeed Silas mother since the game is taking place in a world where werewolves, witches and ghosts are real.

But all of this just raises more question and we get literally no answers.

Like how old was/is Silas?

Travis says Kaylee wanted to help the child. this means that Silas was in his human form, right? And Travis also says that even six years later there are sightings of a feral albino child along the coast. Of course if Silas was something like 6 years old when Harum Scarum got destroyed, he could be 12 when he was finally "caught".

That again raises the question if no one ever tried to find him and bring him inside? A naked child in the woods that was seen multiple times?

Anyway let us look at the poster on the cage:

compared to the new flyer, we find all the time, the one from six years ago:

In the first one Eliza looks a lot younger. Of course that could have been the artist of the poster deciding to just pretty her up. But if you look at the design, the first ones looks older... like it could be from decades ago.

But Silas was already a part of the show then. So... how old is Silas really? Is he Elizas son? She sure seems to think so.

Eliza sees Silas as her son. Why did she put him in a cage? Maybe it wasn't as bad as Kaylee thought it was? It might have been good enough that people thought it is just an act? The cage itself is rather big... Maybe peope thought the feral thing was also just an act?

That would be what I might assume... children who grow up in a circus often help out with the acts.

Either way, Eliza loved Silas enought to stay in the real world as a ghost and to try to kill off a whole family to protect him (and maybe bring him snacks/campers into the woods, who knows).

Anyway talking about age, another thing is that both Kaylee and Caleb are (if we believe the family tree) 21 22 (*1999) and 26 (*1995)

Not exactly teenagers, even though Chris titles them as such. The developers are just not exact with the ages and all characters are unreliable narrators.

Also Caleb was 20 when he started the fire to help his 15 16 year old sister to free a child. Instead of asking their cop-uncle to help?

All of this just seems weird. Caleb should have known better. He was already an adult who grew up in the woods and at camp. He should know about the dangers of fire.

Even if they were both only 10 years old they should have known better...

Another thing is that we have to assume is, that Silas was in his human form when he got "rescued". And still he bit Caleb. He is multiple times described as feral (again by Travis who is not a reliable source) but it might still be true.

The fact alone that Silas bit Caleb while probably being human is an indicator for Silas actually being feral. That raises the question of why was Silas like that? Was he like that from the beginning? Or was he just not raised adequately? OR if he really is older than he looks did he become more feral with time?

All of those are valid options.

Another thing that always strikes me as weird is Kaylees letter. The first time I heard it, it sounded like she is not sorry about what happened. It sounds like she is only sorry about how it turned out.

Though, many people died she does not sound like she feels any regret... maybe werewolves really become more feral with time?

Gammy, How long we gonna drag this shit out? I know family is the most important thing, but I wanna know what's outside the forest, outside this damn house and camp, and I sure as hell know that ain't about to happen 'cos of who we are. Maybe we can explain what's goin' on. Fuckin' show people. Then they'll know we got no control over it. Various observations on Hotaru from the hit project by @tsumigram and what I get out of them

Warning : this post is a mess. You may feel like some obvious stuff is missing. You'd be right.

In this post, I'm going to list various observations I made based on citations. Then, I'll be trying to link these observations together within a small, more cohesive analysis (don't expect very in-depth analysis or theorizing, I'm not very good at it).

Here goes part 1 (citations, and then what i get out of them, specifically the highlited parts)

“I don't feel particularly averse to this place… rather, I can't say I really care. I can't remember any distinct preferences of mine.” - Character profile

-> Hotaru is often the object of the action in matters that concerns them personally (objectification). Their agency is constantly being taken away, they are forced into things/roles they didn't choose. [4]

“Hotaru: Ahh— May I call you Ego-chan? I don't intend to disrespect your position as the warden, but I prefer to remember people's names.”

“Hotaru: I'm really doing my best to be respectful to people’s names. Because names hold a lot of meaning.”

“See you later, young lady. Or do you hate being called that? Not in particular. I see. I'm respectful, so I wouldn't refer to you in any way that you hate.”

“I changed my name in papers, but everyone keeps on calling me by the old one. This is so cruel”

-> Hotaru gives a lot of importance to respecting people's names and not referring to someone in a way they don't like. They give a value to what people choose to be called. [5]

(note : there's so much more to say about Hotaru and "names", they even explain in details what names mean to them in their voice drama, but this part is only about the intersection between the theme of "names" an the theme of "choice")

-> Bullying appears to be a core theme of Hatoru's story. In both of these instances, they are accusing others (girls) of being bullies. [6]

“Hotaru: It makes me feel a bit left out. Ego: Why so? Do others pick on you? Hotaru: Ahh— May I call you Ego-chan? I don't intend to disrespect your position as the warden, but I prefer to remember people's names. Ego: That's a sudden change of topic.” - Voice drama

-> Here, when Ego brings up bullying and ask Hotaru if they are being bullied, Hotaru avoids the topic. [7]

-> Hotaru apologizes a lot (x) and overall seems to be worried about being bothersome to people around them (x). They want to avoid annoying others at all cost. [8]

“Maybe… the reason why I forgot my name is that no one cared to remember it.” - Voice drama

“It’s uncomfortable to be remembered, right? I know your faculty, too.” - Memory report, record n°2

-> Being remembered is something ambivalent in Hotaru's story : it's important, valuable, yet it can cause you to be stuck in the past against your will by being associated with things that aren't related to you anymore (there's a loooot to say about Hotaru and "remembering", it's the amnesia man we're talking about after all) [9]

“Compared to everyone, it's like I don't really have a life. Either I'm dead already, or wasn't born yet.” - Voice drama

“Another life that you'll give me.” - Voice drama

-> Themes of birth/rebirth [10]

“It’s enough of a crime that I’m here. Right into Hell, I’ll take you with me” - Undercover

“Well, maybe you'll go to Hell and pay for it. Not that Hell exists.” - Memory report, record n°2

=> There's a couple of mentions of Hell in Hotaru's story, and with religious undertones since it's Hell with a capital H. [11]

Ok, now, my broad analysis (I don't think I'm very good at those so here goes nothing ig) :

Hotaru doesn't feel like they have their own identity (1), because they can't remember anything about themselves. Their life is a complete blur (as we are often reminded by pretty much every piece of content about them). Despite that, they also seek to be understood (3). There's a kind of contradiction in this: if they have nothing for themself, what is there to understand? As I see it, this desire to be understood is a remnant of their past life. Maybe there's nothing to understand anymore, but the effort is always valued and appreciated. They may also see it as a way to help them find their own identity : if others figure out things about them, they could start understanding themself better.

This importance that Hotaru gives to trying to understand others may result from the fact that others have never tried to understand them in the past. This can link to points [2] and [6] : people has made Hotaru feel as if there was something wrong with them without trying to go past that first impression and it turned into bullying. I think Hotaru has been bullied in the past, and that might be why they avoid the topic when Ego asks them if they are getting picked on (7), because it feels too personal, too close to home, even if they currently have no memory of it (avoidance as a coping mechanism).

in addition to the bullying, there's the fact that Hotaru may have lacked control over their life and choices as a whole (4). The way Hotaru has been treated by others could be the cause of their current behaviour : Hotaru apologizes a lot and doesn't want to bother others (8), which couls be because of low self-worth induced by the way others have treated them.

Because they know what it feels like for your choice not to be respected, Hotaru has developed a strong attachment to the importance of respecting other people's choices (5).

Now I haven't mentioned it because it's quite obvious, but Hotaru's story relates a lot to identity, and also gender. If we assume the person talking in the Memory report, record n°3, they changed name but others kept dead-naming them. It could technically be because of reasons that don't relate to gender identity, but I think we can assume it is as the topic of gender is also part of Hotaru's story and character (they use any pronous, according to them they don't care about being seen as either a boy or a girl, the Memory report record n°2 mentions specifically whether or not calling someone "young lady", etc.) Also the theme of "being reborn as a new person" (10) tracks with the idea of transitioning. Assuming Hotaru is some flavour of transgender, it's likely that this part of their identity was one of the target of their bully/bullies. Probably not the only one (cf citations in point [2]), and bullies will attack anything they can find in you anyway, but it shows how transgender youths are at a higher risk of not being accepted by their peers.

Very vague hypothesis about Hotaru's crime : The way Hotaru has been treated may have led them to seek vengence and kill someone, which could be the reason why they're here in Tsumigram. Aside from that, I don't know, there's mentions of taking someone in death with them ("Not that Hell exist. Does it? We'll see." "Right into Hell, I’ll take you with me") but I don't have enough analysis skills to get anything beyond that. Could've killed someone (or multiple people) with the intetion of killing themselves right after but didn't go through it in the end.

Anyway this post is kind of a mess, I didn't even really touch on the topic of memory, amnesia and stuff and barely mentioned the religious undertones but I just thought I'd do. something. This is more of an exercise for me on how to articulate my thoughts.

We went to the beach this one time and I, for some reasons, made friends with this one guy I never saw again in my life. 6. What do you need to write? Is there anything special you need to do/have to help your creative flow?

Honestly, this is an interesting question for this fic specifically, bc my writing usually comes from a place of... pure fucking spite lmao. If there's something I don't like enough, I want to fix it (in Bleeding Heart, it was all the early access bullying lol). An Honest Lie is weird because I actually really like the Astarion canon storyline - though I can't speak for patches. So in this case, what I need to write, is a few weeks of getting depressed from my angsty as fuck AU, and then I come here to be cosy and promise my OC the world :')

22. Does personal experience ever inspire your fics? What about this particular fic?

Crying. killshot.

The fun thing about me, is that I don't consider any of my OCs self-inserts or related to me at all(this is no judgement to self-insert OCs, I simply do not consider myself hot enough to hold a candle to the imaginary women in my brain and thus, I admire anyone with the confidence).

...And then I go into therapy, and my therapist asks me about my writing, and then they give me a long hard look and I say "oh, no, I get that look, but it's not me, you see. because this girl is hot :) and pink :)". And then my therapist looks at me some more.

which is a bit of an overshare, but basically it turns out that every fic I write can be archaeologically surveyed about a year after I write it for the personal experience it actually entails (yes, I'm extremely worried about Pieces).

luckily, Rosalie is 2yrs old, so I have done that work already! and oh boy, does that make writing An Honest Lie fucking weird at times!

I've been pretty open that Rose was my pandemic OC. I didn't write her based on my own pandemic experiences - it was actually that two of my friends at the time were agoraphobic, I was anxious, and I liked the idea of a magical cure for both of those things, in the form of the tadpole. But since I wrote the first fic with her, I have realised a lot about myself: I have recovered from an acute self-hating depression, and I have received an autism diagnosis, all of which seem relevant to the Masker Extraordinaire.

If I was to pinpoint the exact piece of personal experience here, I think it's the irrational fear that all recovery can be undone in an instant. That is the worry that motivates a lot of Rosalie's character. Like Rose, I really fear the moment where my progress is exposed as a lie, or the risk that one thing will tip me back into my worst moment without me having any control over it. I don't think it will happen, but I do feel like that possibility haunts my choices and my everyday life!

25. Is there anything you would change about this fic? Why/Why not?

Weirdly... I'm not sure if I'd write it? which is a depressing way to answer this question. I like it as a project, but it's a little different than my approach to other fics - it feels messier as a story. I mostly started it bc people asked for a continuation of my first fic, and I have a lot of love for A Bleeding Heart... neither of these are good motivations for a whole new fic lmaooooo. But now that I'm here, I wouldn't change anything. I've accepted it's going to be a messier, more self-indulgent project, and that while it doesn't come from my usual urge to fix things in a story, which means I have less prompts going forward, instead I just have to fully enjoy the bits I love.

When Was Each Tekken Character Born?

Although we don’t have exact dates, we can actually figure out the year during which each character was born in based on the years the games themselves take place in.

First of all, based on the game’s manual itself, we know that Tekken 1 takes place in the year of its console release and Tekken 7 sorta also confirms this based on the date of the Mishima Zaibatsu’s formation, so Tekken 1 takes place in 1995. Tekken 2 is set two years after that so 1997. Tekken 3 is set nineteen years after the events of Tekken 2 so that means 2016. Finally, all the other games from Tekken 4 all the way to Tekken 7 take place two years after 3, meaning we’ve been frozen in 2018 since 2001 when 4 came out, which in turn means the Tekken universe never got to experience COVID lol. Maybe that’s why they never changed the year again xD

So, with those dates established, let’s move on to the characters!

Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, Lee Chaolan, Baek Doo San

Paul and Law were 25 years old during the first tournament so that means they were born in 1970. Lee is the same age as these old geezers but we can clearly see who got the good genes as he still looks fucking 30 lol. Baek is also apparently the same age as these guys though he arguably looks older than all of them and looked that way even all the way back in Tekken 2

Nina Williams, Jun Kazama

Tekken’s number 1 female fighter was 20 years old when she first appeared in Tekken 1 so that means she was born in 1975. One of the biggest mysteries in the series, Jun, was herself born in 1975 as she was 22 years old in Tekken 2

Kazuya Mishima

The original game’s protagonist was 26 years old when he defeated his father in the original game, placing his date of birth sometime in 1969

Ling Xiaoyu, Miharu Hirano

Tekken’s other prominent leading lady was 16 and still in school when she started kicking ass in Tekken 3 so that means she’s a 2000 baby. Something interesting about Xiaoyu is that she’s in her last year of high school from T4 to T6 and, since for the first time ever she doesn’t have her trademark Mishima Polytech school uniform in Tekken 7, this could mean that she finally graduated?? Her bestie Miharu who made her debut in Tekken 4 is also the same age as her

King II

King II was 28 years old when Armor King I finished training him and he was ready to officially succeed the original King so that means he was born in 1988.

Hwoarang, Steve Fox, Jin Kazama

Hwoarang and his eternal rival Jin are 19 by the time they meet each other in the third tournament so that means they were born in 1997. Steve joined during the fourth tournament which is set two years after the third, and he was, and still is, 21, meaning he was also born in 1997

Lei Wulong

Super cop was 26 in 1997 so that means he was born in 1971

Heihachi Mishima

Heihachi was 52 years old when he lost the Zaibatsu to his son so that would mean he was born in 1943

Jane’s JACK, Feng Wei, Sergei Dragunov, Miguel Caballero Rojo, Tekken 1 JACK

Although he has a different body each time, the JACK robot that saved Jane was 5 years old by Tekken 2 when he found her. Ever since he got destroyed after the second tournament, Jane made it her life’s goal to save him and has been trasnfering his data to the prototype of each new JACK model from Tekken 3 onwards, meaning JACK-2, GUN JACK, JACK-5, 6 and 7 are, essentially, the same “person”. That means Jane’s JACK has existed ever since 1992. Alternatively, the moment that particular JACK-2 unit decided to develop a conscience and save Jane can be considered his “birth” year so, 1997. Feng and Dragunov are, to my surprise, only 26 years old (although they both look dangerously close to 40), so that means they were born in 1992 as well, which is sus if you ask me. Miguel is also 26 but he arguably actually looks the part. The JACK robot that fought in the original tournament shares the same year of creation as Jane’s JACK, but not the same conscisnce

Bryan Fury

Bryan was 29 years old when he started wreaking havoc in the series for the first time, during the events of the third tournament so that means he was born in 1987

Craig Marduk, Prototype JACK, Fahkumram

Marduk is currently 28 so that means he was born in 1990 and the prototype of the JACK series of robots was also brought into the world of Tekken that years as well. Newcomer Fahkumram is also 28, one of the three Tekken 7 newcomers who have their ages revealed

Christie Monteiro, Leo Kliesen

Christie and Leo are both 19 throughout their appearances in the series so that makes their year of birth 1999

Asuka Kazama

Miss Kazama is 17 years old so she was born in 2001

Eddy Gordo, Lidia Sobieska

Eddy was born in 1989 as he is 27 by the time he gets out of prison to fight in the third tournament. I’m not 100% sure about Lidia’s because her bio simply says she was 29 when she became prime minister of Poland, but the very next sentence says that she requested Heihachi Mishima removes the Tekken force soldiers he had stationed in Poland with him instead inviting her to the seventh King of Iron Fist Tournament so, while not 100% clear, it is heavily implied that her back and forth with Heihachi happens shortly after her election as prime minister

Julia Chang

Julia was born in 1998 and is 18 years old in Tekken 3, her debut game

Lili

Lili is 16 years old so that means she was born in 2002, interestingly, the year when Tekken 4 was released and started the in-game 2018 year that we’ve been stuck in ever since

King I, Bruce Irvin

The original masked wrestler was 30 during the events of the original King of Iron Fist so that means he was born in 1965. Two years later, Bruce joined the ranks of Kazuya’s Tekken Force so that means these two share a birth year

Michelle Chang, Anna Williams

Michelle and Anna were 18 years old when they joined the fight as part of the oiginal cast so they were both born in 1977

Ganryu

Ganryu was 32 in Tekken 1 so that means he was born in 1963

Kuma II

The original Kuma’s son is 8 years old in Tekken 3 so he was born in 2008

Wang Jinrei

Wang is already 82 years old and still kicking in Tekken 1 so he was born all the way back in 1913!

Bob, Forest Law

Mister Robert and Law Jr. are 27 years old, placing their dates of birth somewhere during 1991

Zafina

The myserious assassin may not have a confirmed place of birth but she does have a confirmed age of 23 years, making her year of birth 1995

Panda

Xiaoyu’s pet-bodyguard is 7 years old in Tekken and was thus born in 2009, although in Tekken 5 she tells Kuma that she’s “too old for him”...

Eliza

Eliza is 1.000 (and 4 months!) old during the T4-T7 timeline so that means she was born sometime in 1018

So there you have it! If you’ve made it this far congratulations! If your favourite character is missing then that means they don’t have an official age stated, most notably the majority of the Tekken 7 newbies. Some have speculated ages, like Lars being “around 28″ or Leroy being “over 50″ but these are too vague to take into account I think

FP Jones- Gladys Jones

The day FP told me that he and Gladys we're going to have another go at married life, was the worst day of mine

Flash Back

"I'm sorry I'm confused. Your throwing away our 3 year relationship, for a failed marriage?" I look at FP more confused than I had ever been. We’re currently sat at Pops where FP is telling me he's leaving me for his ex wife

"I know it's not ideal"

"Ideal?" I almost yell "FP she's the one who drove you to drink. I'm the one who helped you overcome that. I'm the one who's stood by you through everything. I'm the one who helped to nurse Jughead back to health after you decided to rumble with the Ghoulies"

"Fangs was shot, they wanted war"

"They didn't shoot Fangs FP!"

"YN I know that this is hard to understand" I scoff

"Understatement of the year"

"But she's the mother of my kids"

"What if I was pregnant FP or what if we had kids? would that be the only reason you were with me?"

"What? are you pregnant?"

"No but you didn't answer my question"

"I don't know what you want me to say"

"Neither do I. Just leave FP. Go pretend to play families somewhere else, but don't come running back to me when she breaks your heart again"

"YN don't be like that" FP places his hand on mine. I snatch it away

"Go, please" FP sighs and gets up from his seat

Current day

"Hey Pop, can I just get a burger and fries to go"

"Of course" Pop smiles at me before walking into the kitchen. I sit on a stool waiting when someone sits next to me. I turn my head to see FP

"You were right"

"I don't know what your on about. I'm right about a lot of things so be specific"

"Come on YN don't..." FP sighs "Gladys left" this makes me chuckle

"I can't believe I'm hearing this... actually you know what I can"

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have..."

"Broken up with me? because you did and now you are suffering"

"YN I didn't know.." I now look in FP's eyes

"Yes you did. You knew that leaving me for her was a risk that you were willing to take. You also knew that I wouldn't and will not take you back. What I've not understood for the last 6 months is why you left me, a woman who loved you and would have given you the world, for a woman who had always been in it for herself. Hell, her kids, JB and Jughead haven't truly had a mother in 11 years maybe more, but you thought she changed right? you thought she was the woman you married when you were 22 but you were living a fantasy FP" FP now has tears in his eyes

"I'm so sorry. I fucked up I know I did. I don’t expect you to suddenly jump into my arms and love me again or ever. But I need you in my life. Even if that’s just as a friend” Pops comes over with my food in a bag

“I don’t know FP. I’m sorry” I pay for my food and leave. Jughead sat on his bike outside

“You know he’s a wreak without you”

“Should have though about that before moving into Betty’s house with your mother”

“YN just because they were living under the same roof doesn’t mean he slept in her bed. He slept downstairs on the couch, he didn’t kiss or even touch her. He only stayed with her to keep JB safe, not that it worked out. Kurtz…”

“I heard. And I’m sorry for what happened. I warned you both about that stupid game, I warned FP about that woman and no one ever believes me. I may not be a Serpent, but I liked to think I was family. I like to think you and your sister both saw me as a mother figure. I haven’t got my own kids and I though that maybe you could have been them, or maybe your father and I… I’m now 30 years old and single”

“You don’t have to be, well single can’t help with the age. My dad messed up, just give him another chance” I start to let the tears I have been holding in start to flow

“I don’t think that’s a good idea. Maybe if it had only been a month, but it’s been 6 Jug. He’d still be with her if she hadn’t of left. I’m sorry Jug but I can’t be the fool who forgives what happened. Even if I did take him back, I’d worry about him leaving me again. That’s not fair on any one. This is for the best. Goodbye Jug”
