Rafayel: Cuddles for Inspiration

"Come here, I can't find my inspiration without you."

At least that's what Rafayel always says when he can't find the right balance between painting and wanting to spend time with you. So why not combine both!

Yes, he's covered in paint and, yes, its smell completely soaked his clothes, but you never say no to him. How could anyone resist his cute pouty face when he's asking for something like this?

The moment Rafayel pulls you by the waist and sits you on his lap, be prepared to spend a very, very long time like this. Especially if he's really inspired by your closeness.

And he just can't let go of his muse in the middle of the creative process, right?

Rafayel holds you firmly but gently by your waist while his chin rests on your shoulder. His eyes are either closed as he thinks about something or focused on the canvas.

Sometimes his fingers draw invisible abstract shapes on your waist. He does it instinctively, without thinking. Or he plays with your own fingers while he draws details with his other hand.

"See? Without you, this painting wouldn't be complete."

Zayne: Cuddles for Productivity

Zayne… Always remains Zayne, covering up his own desire to be closer to you with various medical terms and researches. It is cute in it's own way, actually.

He loves it when you hold him in your arms and he can completely relax for a while, resting his head on your chest and listening to your heartbeat. He'll definetely call it a way to check your heath too.

Zayne loves to cuddle before or after work most of the time, but he won't refuse to be there for you during his break at work.

He needs to find the energy to keep working, after all.

He probably prefers to keep quiet during yor cuddling session, but if you want to tell him something, go ahead, Zayne won't say a word against it.

In fact, he even enjoys hearing your stories. Just make sure they don't contain things about your work that might alarm him. Otherwise, he might go back into strict doctor mode. But it's still only because of his love and care for you.

"Have you heard that hugs or any other show of affection can have health benefits, including reducing fear, stress, and pain? So it is good for both of us."

Xavier: Cuddles for Sleep

And with these words Xavier will make himself comfortable in your arms while you're lying on the couch or bed and scrolling on social media.

And that's not even a joke, he's actually completely exhausted after spending the last couple days on missions without proper rest. You know Xavier, he either works non-stop or goes into hibernation after that. It'll take some time to change his habits.

In this state, he's more like a big plush toy, and you can do whatever you want with him. But the best idea is to play with his hair. This action always relaxes him.

After all, only in your hands he can find such a desired comfort.

Xavier will tell you about how his last mission went while you cuddle. Well, he will try to do it before sleep finally consumes him. And you'll be able to hear perfectly how his voice grows quieter and quieter with each word.

Animation is a very interesting medium to analyze because every little detail you can spot is usually deliberate. If this was live-action, you could have attributed the red light next to Loid as a random timing occurrence, that the directors, cinematographers, gaffers, or what have you either missed to notice or shrugged off because it's not important enough to ruin the entire take.

But this being animation, this red light didn't just appear in the shot. Someone very carefully crafted it there, set it to red, and put it at a place that the characters wouldn't cover but would also not drive your attention away from the action in the foreground.

It's small enough to not catch your attention the first time (especially if you're anime only and aren't expecting this to even happen!) but also very deliberate. It's not there for world-building or plain set design, so on a rewatch it's very noticeable.

And again, I might not know a lot about symbolism (even though we're on the colour theory in children's hospital website) but I'm having a few guesses as to what that red light means.

I mean, we're taught from a very young age, even if we don't pick up a vehicle, that red means STOP and green means GO. Considering the care and attention the animators have put in the twiyor scenes this season, I doubt the red had any negative meaning towards this scene... so my guess is that the red signified how Twilight's brain stopped for a couple seconds, trying to process the information as Yor all but fell for on him.

I mean, we know the man has perfectly good reflexes. Just in the scene before he was able to ride a big wave, see Anya get yeeted across the water and jump to grab her and her surfboard. But suddenly, when Yor is right next to him and passes out, he just freezes on the spot and doesn't do anything for a good full second?

So really, what the red light might've wanted to say would be something like

“can’t sleep?” the toss and turning of your figure in the bed—quite frustrated in motion even—accompanied with the occasional groans gave him the idea that you weren’t asleep, or couldn’t sleep at all. a simple nod coming from you was all he needed before his mind started constructing ideas on what he can do to accompany you on yet another night like this.

he’s not new to it, certainly. after all, before you were lovers, you two were friends and he wasn’t a stranger to this problem of yours. however, when he was first introduced to it, he didn’t know what to do and what he could do to help you. he just let you talk about your experience with this conundrum, listening and silently noting the fact in his mind.

and before he knew it, he started to come up with plans for the night in case you have trouble falling asleep once again. it all just felt natural to him, he started buying items that he thinks could aid you even if it’s just for a bit—tea that has sleep benefits, any book that he comes across that he thinks you could use, a board or card game that you two can play. although god forbids that the game being played would end up in a friendly match. with his somewhat of a competitive and taunting personality, the small match becomes a tournament between you and him.

it either ends up with you becoming sleepy and him having to carry you to bed as you doze in his arms or staying up all night ‘til the rise of the sun as you try to beat each other into defeat.

although he doesn’t want to admit to you that he’s really looking out for you. he doesn’t want to say that just the simple mention of sleep and anything to related to that would have his mind drifting to the thought of you, it’s like you and sleep itself is just associated with one another–despite the fact that you lack of it. and in all honesty, isn’t this what you’re supposed to do to your cherished ones?

and when you two had established a romantic relationship with one another, the things he would do for you soon became more intimate and affectionate. accompanying and talking while sitting across each other soon became cuddling sessions in bed—he occasionally plays with your hair or provides soothing touches on your skin—, massages from him are being offered to help you relax, and you try things together often.

he becomes quite strict on things related to your well-being, as health and sleep are correlated to one another. such as coffee being forbidden especially when it’s being taken during the night or having naps during the day limited so that you won’t be awake the whole time later on.

“sleep is essential.” he tells you rather flatly as if it’s not something that you don’t know, his fingers combing through your hair and massaging your scalp in the process. you don’t know what time it is right now, perhaps sometime around dawn as the night looks darker and quieter with only the rustling of leaves outside the window being heard.

“but you don’t sleep?” you answered, words close to a mutter as you slowly eased into his hold and kind caress, the gentle rhythm of his breathing and his voice served as a lullaby. “i do not need it.” his answer elicits a confused reaction from you, eyebrows drawn into one as you look up to meet his gaze, eyes that were often in a glare are warm and soft.

you asked him, “why?” in which he responds, benignly, “i’m a puppet, have you forgotten about that?”

he bought you a stuffed toy—one that resembles him in some manner with its grumpy expression and a small hat on top of its head, donning colors that are similar to his. it wouldn’t be surprising if you were the one who got it for yourself but the fact that he went out his way to get a cotton figure (of him) definitely astonished you to the core.

it doesn’t matter if you have asked him for help about it or not, he only wishes you to know that he is there for you. his affection for you goes past the line of simply just admiring you and memorizing every line of your face, he cares for you more than you know and more than what he makes you realize.

I just got finished with a spy x family episode and this came up! What about DBH boys (Connor, Simon, Markus) With a female reader who is just like Yor Forger!

She’s very sweet looking, and nobody would suspect she packs quite a mean punch when protecting someone or herself, and unusually strong!

Hey anon! So sorry about the wait on this. I'll be honest part of it is due to me not knowing anything about spy x family, so I will just be going off the little description you've given in this ask! And it certainly won't stop me from trying.

Each Connor, Simon, and Markus would initially find the reader quite unassuming. To say they underestimate her is not exactly accurate, but they certainly don't expect the strength and punch she packs.

Connor witnessed it during a case. He's in the process of analyzing some evidence at a crime scene when he hears a disturbance. It was an argument, from what he could tell, between you and someone else trying to tamper with the crime scene or simply initiating some aggression because, like Connor, they misjudge exactly how strong you could be. At the sound of raised voices - yours being one of them - Connor is quick to make his way over to the disturbance, intending to intervene if necessary. Though, it quickly becomes apparent that it isn't necessary.

You've knocked the aggressor clean on their ass. One punch to the face was enough to send them falling backwards right on their ass. You probably even broke their nose. Connor, he's... well, to be honest, he's a little surprised. You aren't often in situations such as this one. And while you do work for the DPD, it's not often he sees you demonstrate exactly why you were hired in the first place.

Even though you punched someone to the point of a concussion, Connor can't help but still make sure you're okay. Physically, mentally, whatever, he wants to make sure the encounter didn't shake you up too bad. Even if you've assured you're fine and that he doesn't need to check you over, he's still doing a scan, just to be sure.

This is something he certainly does not forget about you. And while he still worries, given the fact that your appearance is deceiving compared to your actual ability, he's a little more at ease to know that you can hold your own when you need to. He's aware that people will go for those who seem weaker, and while he knows you aren't weak, at a glance, people are quick to think otherwise about you.

Simon, while not a coward, does prefer to take the pacifist route at any given opportunity. You're someone who's the same, unless you have absolutely no choice. And that was the case here. You were with Simon, just the two of you. You had excused yourself to the bathroom, and on your way back, you see that someone had approached Simon, and you noticed that Simon was less than comfortable about the interaction. It wasn't until you were a few steps away that you could hear exactly what was going on.

It was some anti-android guy going off - he must have recognized Simon someone. Which, come on, he's not the only PL600 to exist. Whatever, it didn't matter. What mattered was this guy was going off on Simon, and while Simon was trying to defuse the situation, he wasn't getting anywhere successful. Simon was trying to talk the other down, but the guy seemed pissed, which started to piss you off. It didn't help that the guy suddenly grabbed Simon - that's when you knew you had to step in.

"Hey!" Was all you said, which seemed to startle the guy long enough for you to grab his shoulder, turning him so you could swiftly punch him in the gut. He quickly doubled over, falingl to the ground, and Simon stumbled back, staring at the scene in shock. His mouth was agape as he looked between you and the guy, now groaning on the ground. There was even a slight tint of blue on Simon's face at the sight, which you may have noticed if you weren't still upset with the interaction.

"Whoa... I didn't know you had that in you..." Simon said, nearly stepping towards the guy to help him. But he stopped himself, mainly because you held your hand out to stop him.

"There's a lot you don't know about me," you responded, looking over to him and managing a smile. Despite the circumstances, it was cute to see the way Simon reacted to this.

"What, so we just... leave him?"

"Well, he was a prick, soo..."

Markus was often used to being the protector. And with you, it was a no brainer that you were someone he felt drawn to protect. And it was cute, and you never had a problem with it. But sometimes even the protector needs a little helping hand. Especially when you've got no problem fighting your own battles.

Being the leader of the android revolution meant that Markus got a lot of attention. And being a close friend of the leader of the android revolution meant you got a lot of attention as well. Both good and bad. This was an instance of the bad. Some name calling, some yelling, asking how you could ever support something like this when all the androids do is take and take and blah blah blah.

Really, you weren't listening. You had grown used to it at this point, it was something you could easily tune out.

Though, it was clear that the people nagging you were not a fan of being ignored. Markus was only a little ways ahead of you, but it was still enough of a distance that he couldn't stop the way they grabbed you to look at them. A small struggle ensued, which caught Markus' attention. He was quick to rush over to you, pulling off one of the two attacking you, but it seemed you had the rest of it under control.

A quick knee between the legs was enough to throw them off their balance, then an elbow to the chest knocked the wind out of them long enough for you to get away. As you escaped their grasp, you kept yourself ready, knees bent, arms up, ready for anything more they had to throw your way. Of course, the kerfuffle was enough to get the attention from onlookers, and the attackers found it best to avoid further humiliation.

With them submitting to defeat, Markus looked to you, first making sure you were okay. Once that was settled, he found himself looking at you with an impressed smile. "Maybe you should be the one protecting me," he joked.

"Maybe," You said, relaxing now that you weren't in danger anymore. "At least I'd know you'd be safer."

"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing."

"Your Highness. I was ordered by Prince Yuri to give this fresh harvest... of apples."

Upon seeing the sleeping princess, Lionel placed the basket of apples on the table.

"Your Highness? Princess Yor?"

She really is asleep. The embroidery that she had been working on was almost half-way done, resting on her lap and about to fall from her hands. Threads of different colors were on her feet.

Lionel approached her.

"This is dangerous, Your Highness. You should not be holding on to these while you're sleeping. You might get hurt by the needle." He said, despite not expecting any response.

He took the embroidery and threads. Ever so lightly, his finger grazed the princess' hand. Lionel flinched away in surprise. It was enough to cause him a slight fluttering. He gazed at the princess.

Her divine features will never be justified by any portrait.

"Hnn..."

The princess stirred a little, causing her head to slide sidewards. With a quick move of his hand, Lionel caught the princess' head, preventing it from hitting the chair's carvings. He then carefully placed the princess' head on the backrest.

Suddenly a gust blew.

"Ah! The embroidery!"

Lionel picked up the fallen item and placed it once again on the table. When he turned once again, he let out a soft laugh. The princess' hair was disheveled by the wind. He bent over and moved away the strands of hair from her face.

As he has always thought, her rosy cheeks and lips are incomparable to apples. Not even the freshly picked ones that he just brought could come close.

Before he knew it, the back of his fingertips are on the princess' cheek, lightly touching.

It was warm.

How much Lionel wanted to remain this way. But it was wrong. He doesn't have the right to yearn for her. Not yet. Especially when he hasn't even uttered a single word regarding his feelings.

He loves her beyond her divine features. He loves her for she is strong-willed and kind, bearing herself with dignity and grace. Princess Yor Briar deserves a man of equal character, who will never taint her honor. Lionel might not be that person.

And if Lionel were to confess now, it will mean trampling over not only the princess' commitment but also his own perseverance.

For now, the princess only sees him as a mere guardsman. A person of low standing. Still, he wanted to know if he can win her over in spite of it.

Lionel knows that by confessing his ardent affection, he will also have to confess the bigger truth behind it.

How much longer can he suppress his feelings?

It's short but that's it. Actually, this is meant to be a series and I'm still in the process of writing it though I'm sad to say that I am yet to finish ch1 🙃😅. But I already have a concrete plot in mind. I'm just really struggling with writing the chapters. STILL, I CAN'T GUARANTEE ANYTHING.

My plan is to finish the full series first before posting it as a whole. All at once. Because I'm not fond of re-editing fics when I'm done with it (typos are fine but plot and dialogue fixing bums me). I want to finish it first even if it means it will take another year because I want to be satisfied with what I wrote before sharing it with you.

Since I'm going to do it to be enjoyed by others, I might as well ensure that the effort is worth the attention it gets. That's my pride as a fan content creator lol

Context:

After Loid Forger in false search for his daughter's lost keychain, he not only made contact with Damiand Desmond, apologizing for the incident of the past. He manages to get in contact with his target for the first time, Donovan Desmond.

The appearance of Donovan Desmond

I think it goes without saying that Donovan is a mysterious and strange guy, not only because of his strange look, but also because everything in his body language is difficult to interpret. Twilight explains that despite his thorough research he has not found anything relevant enough to create a "profile" of Donovan's personality. However, the objective of the Strix mission is to uncover "the war plans

If Twilight and Yor have a "twinge," it's because something bad is happening with these people.

Interestingly, both Desmonds use the same strategy of "ignoring" in a seemingly polite way, minimizing the fact that their son was beaten. Donovan himself explains that he knew about the fight because his employees informed them, which coincides with Melinda's version. However, both do not seem to want to make a big deal out of the matter, making the apology unnecessary.

Parenthood is… difficult

Is it necessary to describe how sad this page is? The fact that Damiand tries to disguise his pain by saying "it's a foul against the Desmond family name," when his real pain is seeing that his father doesn't care if someone beats him. Without needing to be so explicit, Donovan made it clear that Damiand's integrity is not a priority in the face of his busy political agenda. Clearly, for both Desmonds, continuing to talk about Damiand generates so much discomfort that they get these "inexplicable" expressions of displeasure.

Worst of all, Damiand is paralyzed with fear by the look on his father's face, and decides to swallow his feelings and act as if "it doesn't matter".

It's curious to me, Twilight's serious expression in those panels because his thoughts aren't showing. I know he's obviously sensing how distant Donovan is from his son, but also, I have a feeling he may be feeling uncomfortable watching a father hurt and ignore his own son's feelings.

Perhaps it is too far-fetched to speculate whether this will bring about emotional conflicts in him like those he once had with his own father, influencing their own paternal vision of which I have spoken in the past

It is precisely when Twilight takes the opportunity to confess something that in reality "is true". For him, being a father has not been easy, learning to understand another human being has been a constant process of trial and error. I know he is taking advantage of this moment to extend the conversation with Donovan, but curiously, Twilight did not seek to agree with Desmond and congratulate him on his parenting method as Melinda's friends have done, or as any ordinary civilian would surely do.

It's as if Twilight is looking for a way to debate Donovan's arguments and show that he disagrees, but in such a subtle and polite way, that it feels unnoticeable. Contributing his point of view, when in reality he is demonstrating that Damiand's feelings have validity and that as parents they should be accountable to anything to do with their children., gently placing his hand on Damiand's shoulder

This confession, however, catches Donovan's interest and he ends up expressing, this:

It is impossible to understand strangers

It seems that according to Donovan, even if people have blood affinity or any other intimate bond, they will never be able to understand each other.

Will people ever understand each other?

If anything, I find it interesting how SxF manages to link such different concepts and make it one, how the parent-child relationship can be an analogy of peace and war.

However, Twilight makes a point to Desmond: Sometimes perfect communication between human beings sounds like an impossible ideal, a utopian world where people can express themselves and agree. From this point of view, peace sounds implausible. Making war the only viable option, imposing your ideals, ambitions and beliefs on the world, so that only one way of thinking reigns.

At the same time, Twilight's words demonstrate a very important lesson:

Communication between human beings should not be ideal or perfect, it is a matter of keep trying and never give up. There will be moments of frustration, it will be difficult and we feel that we should give up or just impose ourselves in a rough and violent way. But, striving to build a good relationship is what can lead us to grow and be better.

There may be parents like Donovan or Melinda, who prefer to turn their backs on their children and act as if they did not exist or were so insignificant as to spend their time on them; or parents like the one Twilight had, people who try to give good lessons, but instead of listening and explaining themselves, they prefer to resort to more aggressive methods to impose their point of view, attacking their children's emotions.

But, there will also be parents who try to be better with effort: It's amazing what a good father Twilight becomes, even if he doesn't realize it himself.

He always tries to understand Anya, even if he doesn't succeed. Sometimes he gets consumed with frustration and becomes somewhat harsh with her, but he has never tried to assault or hurt, let alone minimize her emotions. He was willing to almost-punch a professor for making her cry even if the entire mission was in jeopardy.

Obviously, Twilight is not going to pass up this opportunity to alter reality, and make it seem that his interest in Damiand and thus in his family are mere coincidence, and it is partly because of Anya's (false) admiration for Damiand.

Apparently, Donovan's response was positive, enough to "memorize" Loid Forger's name. However, their retreating glances indicate suspicion, it seems that Donovan is just as intrigued by this psychiatrist.

In the end, we can see the Forger's words affecting Damiand, him as a father manifesting his efforts to understand his daughter, and Anya having the courage to confront her father despite not meeting his expectations. Filling Damiand with enough courage to speak to her father. Although Donovan's approval is mediocre, poor Damiand settles for these crumbs of affection.

It's interesting, the way Twilight always wants to act as the spy, the cold and calculating man, the heartless one with no feelings. But, in this chapter he shows a subtle but evident empathy towards Damiand despite having no reason to do so, after all, even though he is the target's son, his priority is to gain Donovan's sympathy. He encourages Damiand, giving him comfort and respect for his feelings, as he gives him one last look before leaving. Although he has not really been close to Damiand, these brief moments made him understand a little of his suffering, and although this can be used for the mission, it shows that deep down, Twilight is that emotional man he has wanted to bury.

My conclusions:

I think Donovan's character makes me think quite a bit, since as Twilight said: he seems like someone indecipherable at first glance. His expressionless face, which change to terrifying and laughing expressions in a second.

Many people commented after Melinda's appearance, that maybe Donovan was just a puppet, but at the moment it doesn't seem to me to be the case. So far we can't be completely sure if Melinda and her husband are allies, or if they are distant people with their own paths. However, after observing the pinpricks Yor and Twilight had in their respective encounters, they give me to understand that both can be dangerous, capable of activating the fear fibers of a spy and an assassin. So, linked or not, they both strike me as mysterious people.

Does Demond have a past?

I wonder if Donovan's words have some tragic background that led him to think this way. Knowing that in Spy x family every character has a truth to protect, maybe some experience led him to believe that people are incapable of communicating and understanding each other, union being a dead end, and war is the only way men have to exist. Those who win the war will have power and dominance, while the weak will be placated. I hope that in the future we will get to know Donovan's true background and he will not turn out to be the typical villain who is evil just because "yes" and there really is a deep and dark reason.

If we think of the Desmond family as an opposing force to the Forgers: I mean a family whose composition and values are radically opposite. Whereas Twilight and Yor were victims of war, and were driven to want to build a better world and eliminate all those plagues that turn the lives of innocents into a battlefield and tragedy. But also, it leads them to try to be good parents to Anya even though she is not their biological daughter.

We might think that Melinda and Donovan were also victims of the war, but perhaps with a different kind of life and circumstances: perhaps they came from wealthy families who did not suffer the impacts or ravages directly; or perhaps, they suffered in a way that led them to resent the world and want to make it succumb to the war.

It would make more sense, when we think about how opposite the Forgers are as parents. They are a fake family that started out of convenience with a foster daughter. But they both try to make Anya's life happy, try to devote their time to her and give importance to her feelings. They learn and recognize when they are failing, and support each other when the other feels discouraged.

The opposite of the Desmond couple, who are described as a distant and disinterested family in the suffering of their children, and their relationship as a couple is cold and distant, completely losing interest in each other and the only thing that seems to sustain their relationship is power and status.

So, if the Forger family in an analogy to the search for peace, communication, learning, empathy and support that different people can give each other, building a family. The Desmonds may represent the opposite pole, a family that seeks war, they are distant, cold and without any interest in what happens between them.

Personally, my biggest concern is Damiand. Since among all the characters he is the most innocent and the one who has the most to lose. If the Desmond parents are the irredeemable villains whose end is to end up imprisoned or only remains to eliminate them, Damiand will eventually lose them, being left alone or with his brother. Even if someone were to take responsibility for it, the weight on his heart will remain, because he truly loves his parents and longs for their love and attention.

This leads me to question whether the Desmonds will be that kind of antagonist who can be vindicated at the end, and change. And with that, wanting to learn to be better parents to Damiand so that this child has some hope for the future. Although it seems an unlikely scenario

I do think it's pretty neat how sometimes anya's powers are displayed in a less typical way. as in, usually they're shown to the audience as voices and occasionally as images, right? and that's a pretty obvious way to conceptualise it (as well as explain why she struggles so much with twilight who's off operating on five different threads at any one moment).

but occasionally, you'll get instances where we know anya's using her powers due to visual/audio cues, but we don't hear the voices/see any images. the most obvious instances are around yuri, though I think it also happens with franky too at some point.

and her powers being presented sans voices/images serve a few purposes. with yuri most of the time, it means we as the audience end up inferring yuri's thoughts from knowledge of his dynamic with yor and anya's own reactions (aka, some variation of "blegh") rather than having them brought to the forefront *in relation to anya*. as in, we take in that anya's being subject to yuri's fairly obsessive thoughts, but we're not being forced to actively address that as we are in other cases (melinda being the obvious one). it's almost a self-censorship deal so that the audience can take it less seriously. endo knows that anya being in a scene with yuri means that she *will* be picking up his vibes, but it really doesn't need to be the focus, because yikes. so if you read most yuri-yor interactions where anya is present she's just off in the background hiccoughing or similar.

one of the other purposes is just that sometimes the audience has seen all the context and lead up behind why a character is acting as they are and so doesn't really need a worded explanation of a character's thought process at that time (if anything, it could jar the scene). so, say the latest anime episode (28 as of me writing this) we have yuri coming to the forgers' household after arresting a man who was kinda scummy but also doing things *for his family*. this is something that clearly does weigh on yuri to some extent given his whole motivation is yor, but having him put that in words would seem both clunky and to be frank, would remove ambiguity that adds to the scene. so, in this case, having seen the rest of the episode, the audience then seeing anya (who isn't a fan of yuri) patting yuri in sympathy signals that this whole deal has affected him more than he lets on to his colleagues at the SSS. a little extra nudge on top of the fact he shows up at the forgers' household in the first place.

(and the final instance that comes to mind when the way anya's powers are displayed is different than the usual 'thoughts' would be the end of the [redacted] arc. she sees visual static and it's clear that twilight himself doesn't fully recall what he was dreaming now he's awoken. but again, this presentation shows the audience that anya hasn't actually read the whole flashback from twilight. the [redacted] arc is grim and tbh way past the level that anya can even conceptualise at present. she still sees the spy and assassin deal largely as a game at this point and, for now, it needs to remain that way.)

not really going anywhere specific with this, but yeah, I just find it interesting from both an in-universe and out-of-universe perspective (mainly the latter, admittedly) how anya's powers are presented to the audience.

So you know how I said Yuri's aged up to 16 instead of 13 like how old Yor was when she took care of him?

Anya tells Yuri that they should live with her because she can't in good conscience let these kids live alone without supervision

Yuri agrees and now him and his 6 year old sister now live with this 20 something year old and her adopted 6 year old son

He feels indebted to her so he continues to do assassination work to help cover bills

Anya's Social Circle

Other than her co-workers, Anya doesn't have many friends

Becky's still here and Anya's best friend

They first met when Anya was looking for nice outfits for the interview at Eden for Loid and herself

Anya helped Becky carry some of her stuff and Becky covered the costs of the outfits

They meet up once a week to hang out, Becky always brings gossip she hears around the town

Becky is basically Franky in this AU

Damien is the love interest that wants to ask Anya out but something always happens to wreck his plans

Becky knew him from Eden when they were kids and teases him relentlessly about literally anything to do with Anya

Whenever Damien shows up hes always wearing something to hide his identity (like hat/sunglasses, or "common clothes" as he puts it)

He finally succeeds in asking Anya out, only for her to ask if she could bring her son and his friend Yor with them because she can't get a sitter at such short notice (he reluctantly agrees)

Much to Loid's chagrin because he doesn't like Damien because he's 6 years old with abandonment issues and doesn't trust any adult other than his mo- Miss Anya

Yor's just happy to be there and likes asking questions about Damien's job

Anya's attempt at getting Loid into Eden

The process of getting Loid into Eden was mixed at best, Becky also clued them in for what would happen so they had time to prepare

The test part was easy since Loid is very smart and Yuri helped him study (and Yor cheered him on in the background).

The walk to the interview was fine since Anya could hear the faculty judging the applicants so she and Loid were trying the damndest to be elegant

The interviewing process was difficult because Anya was at a disadvantage compared to everyone else

She' s a single mother of a child whom she has no blood relation and no social standing to her name

She couldn't ask Damien to help because it would cause a scandel and ruin his career

The questions asked were biased and insulting (intentionally and unintentionally)

When the interviewers ask what Loid wants to do when he grows up, he says he wants to make a world where no child has to cry.

One of the interviewers (you know the one) mocks it, saying it isn't realistic and he should choose something else, embarrassing Loid in front of everyone

Anya stops the interview early and leaves, saying pretty much what Loid said in the show/manga

They get ice cream and watch Bondman together to cheer Loid up

Loid does end up getting into Eden because Henderson sees how much Anya cares about Loid and how elegantly she handled the situation

How Anya prevents war through lies and deceit

Anya can't exactly tell the secret police what will happen because thats gonna put suspicion on her and she very much likes living where she is now

When it comes to "missions" aka Anya stopping terrorism/war breaking out she has to do some major social engineering to get people to do things or make things happen for example:

She hears someone thinking about blowing up a building, what a coincidence, the local authorities were investigating reports of a random break-in at that exact location! Funny how things work!

Yuri is almost caught after an assassination job? Weird Bond got out of the house so far this late, but hey hes leading Yuri away from danger

A penguin is used as a transport for intelligence? Better tell that staff member (who totally isnt a WISE agent in disguise) about how one of the penguins isnt feeling well

It gets to the point where WISE (who has agents in Berlint who are also trying to prevent war) knows about Anya and is trying to make contact to hire her or at the very least keep tabs on her

LOL it's not rare on my page (and it's more that THE MAJORITY of my page is literally for Franky). I took a long break though and I apologize!

Genre: Fluff/Scenarios/Headcannons

This man honestly thinks of marrying you after being in a relationship 24/7! He gets unbearably jealous and worries so much when you're on a mission because he doesn't want you to get hurt :(

As much as he does of course tends to your wounds when you get hurt (and this man researched on how to for you) he feels as if he doesn't have full control over your life (AND NOT IN A POSSESSIVE BAD WAY!)

He worries one day you may be gone or hurt and he can't do anything in his ability to save you. He always thinks about that every night. And even though he always tells Loid not to get attached to his "pretend family" he surely makes sure it doesn't apply to your relationship with him!

Franky hides a black box in the back corner of his night stand, with a ring to propose you with. This guy waits all the damn time to propose to you but says he'll "do it another day" LIKE THE INCONSISTENT MF HE IS!

Every time he sees you tend to a child or Anya specifically his heart melts and is completely vulnerable! He physically can't do anything because he's so heart struck over his boyfriend!

As you play with Anya at the park, taking responsibility with your boyfriend Franky to watch over her while Loid and Yor are gone, you play tag with her. "I got you Anya!" You pick her up and raise her to the sky, Anya giggling and laughing, while swinging her around a bit, and putting her in a hugging embrace. "Come on darling! Play tag with us!" You look at him, warmly smiling at him as he's sitting on a bench calmly staring at both of you. "Alright give me a sec." As he tries to stand up you don't seem to notice but his legs are a bit wobbly, leaning on the edge of the bench for support. He looks away, covering his face, slightly blushing. "Maybe tomorrow will be a better day." He thinks to himself, putting his hand in his left pocket, with a black box in it.

Anya honestly wants to help Franky like last time to arrange his first date with you BUT IS TOO DAMN STUBBORN TO ACCEPT HER OFFER AND CHICKEN TO EVEN TRY TO PROPOSE IN THE FIRST PLACE! She always groans to herself whenever he has a thought about marrying you in front of her, knowing that Anya the great, can't do anything. >:(

The only time he does propose FINALLY is when Yor mentions to you to consider marrying him, based off how happy she thinks you are with him (AS HE SECRETLY LISTENS IN)! If it was for a reason that's stopping you from trying to bring up the idea of marriage HE WILL IMMEDIATELY RESOLVE IT! It may take Loid to bring him to his senses to make him slow down because he's not considering any bad possibility of doing it!

However if it was just because you're too shy to propose to him HE WILL HAVE THE CONFIDENCE SUDDENLY TO! HE REALLY DOESN'T CARE WHERE IT IS HE JUST KNOWS HE NEEDS TO DO IT!

While walking home in the midnight rain with Franky you suddenly hear him say something. "About what you said earlier to Yor... you really wouldn't mind if I just proposed to you?" "Nope! Even now I wouldn't mind. I already love and trust you that much now and in the future." You smile before turning to him, seeing him on one leg, opening a box with a ring in it. "Then be my husband...I mean marry me." He blushes as he slightly looks away before hearing a muffled laughter. "-Pfft...Ahahahaha!" "W-what's so funny?!" Franky tries to slightly look at you without making you notice he's very embarrassed. "Ah! I'm so sorry but maybe you shouldn't propose now! You're getting yourself all soaking wet and I can't afford my husband to get a cold!" You hold your umbrella towards him as you help him up. He looks at you all in the process, and is completely head over heels for you. "So was that a yes?" "That was a yes, Franky." He then kisses you, holding your face with his hands gently before settling down, putting his hands on your waist. Swaying side to side as if you both were dancing to music.

Spy x Family: The Protagonists' Lessons and How They will Advance the Plot

This series is slowly taking over my mind.

As I've been discovering more about the plot of Spy x Family, I've noticed that a complicated series of lessons are being learned by each protagonist, and not only that, but while Anya's learning her needed lesson from both her parents, Twilight and Yor are actually learning the OPPOSITE lesson of the other. This intrigued me enough to explore a little more about these lessons, what they could mean, and how they could advance the plot.

Yor's Lesson: Don't blindly believe what you are told about people without thought, even if it's from someone who cares about you.

This poor girl doesn't have a single person in her life who isn't keeping secrets from her and manipulating her on some level - from unconsciously to fully intentional. Interestingly, Thorn Princess has made a few things pretty clear since the start of the series:

She's been employed by the Garden since her parents died

The Garden gives her all information about her target. This includes: Their Location The Identities of Everyone With Them What Crimes They Have Committed to be Considered a Traitor

She does not ever question this information

Now, I believe Yor kinda "checked out" when she became the head of the house after her parents died and got an assassination job to keep food on the table for Yuri. It's a completely understandable situation, but she's unknowingly going down a path that will force her to do one of two things:

Stay loyal to The Garden, which has been taking care of her since she was a small girl. This will require her to eventually kill Twilight and abandon Anya to an unknown fate, but she will be able to keep her worldview intact.

Question how The Garden defines a traitor and whether or not their own ideals are as justified as they've made them appear.

This girl is tied into every political web she could trip and fall to - She's an assassin for a shadow organization that seems to be on the political side opposing Donovan Desmond's group. Because she does no research for her job outside of what she's handed, she doesn't know anything about the politics surrounding her job, and thus accidentally became friends with Donovan Desmond's WIFE OF ALL PEOPLE.

AND OF COURSE, TO TOP THE CHERRY ON THIS SUNDAE, her husband is a spy from the country hers could go to war against at any moment, and her brother is part of the secret police.

There's going to come a moment where Yor's going to be told she has to pick a side, no matter what. How she handles that will determine how much she's grown as a character.

Twilight's Lesson: You will have to blindly trust someone at some point, buddy.

This is why I'm intrigued by this story. Twilight's problem is the opposite - He has gotten used to questioning everyone's thought process so much that the only way he can comprehend a person NOT having an ulterior motive is if they're a complete simpleton.

Now, for the most part, this mindset has gotten him pretty far in life and it makes sense - Everyone this dude has ever gotten close to has kicked the bucket & all he has EVER received for the sacrifices and harm gone his way are congratulations for surviving and being told he'll never get a thank you but he should still be proud.

Twilight has been able to run away from his hurting of people in the past because he's constantly in enemy territory, but now there's a kid involved, and he has to rely on this kid to make friends and get him close to his target.

Now, we all know Anya's trying her little butt off to help her papa, but Twilight doesn't. He's only able to see what's on the surface, and that's causing him to not only underestimate Anya, it's allowing Anya to get to know him, which is something Twilight has not allowed anyone to do for a very, very long time. (except MAYBE Franky… maybe)

Along with Anya, he's also forced to rely on Yor, who is able to care for Anya when he's not there and help around the house. Yor has been able to get past his defenses because of her lack of ulterior motives, which caused Twilight to classify her as a simpleton and dismiss any other signs of something not being right.

Another thing to note: Twilight is avoiding help from his organization. Yes, he's worked with other agents, but he's chosen Franky, who is an informant FROM OSTANIA and not an actual member of the organization, as his partner for several spy events in the past (even trying to dress him up as Anya's 'mom' before Yor), and he's choosing to live with civilians over other agents for STRIX.

While this is working out for him in the story, if the situation were ANY different, it'd be blatantly obvious he is doing everything he can to basically work alone, and he'd probably fail.

(Franky, if you ever betray him, you BETTER feel guilty and YOU BETTER FIX IT. AND DON'T DIE DOING IT. Rootin' for you, bud!)

There's going to be a moment where Twilight/Loid/[[Redacted]] will find out about Yor and Anya, and I think that moment's going to come at a time where he'll be truly alone and only Yor (possibly Anya and/or Franky) will be there to help him. His level of growth will be determined on whether or not he's willing to accept it and trust them.

Anya's Lesson: Do Your Best, Respect Boundaries, Choose Love and it will Find You

Anya has all the backstory properties of a villain: a shady organization experimented on her, turned her into a telepath, and treated her as a test subject not worthy of comfort until she was able to escape. She goes to at least 4 different homes and everyone is creeped out by her/kicks her out. Even the guy running the orphanage Loid found her at wanted to get rid of her.

Even when she and Loid first met, she fully knew his interest in her was temporary, and planned to use him as much as he used her - as much as a 4 year old can. For her, this meant she got to play with spy gear...

...until that got her kidnapped, and the whole world changed.

I don't think it's been considered the impact of Twilight coming to rescue Anya. This girl has spent her entire life being rejected over things she had no control over, but this time she got in trouble because of something she really did and really messed up. In spite of that, and in spite of the fact that it would have been easier for Twilight to just go find another kid, he came back for Anya. Along with hearing his thoughts of guilt over getting her in danger and reminding himself that he wants a world where children don't cry. Anya ended up learning her first lesson about love and boundaries.

The story has been pretty blatant about Anya's progress, so I'm not going to go into too much detail, but throughout the story, we see her learning lessons through various means:

At school, Damian pushes her to do her best as her rival. Becky, who was won over by Anya defending her after Damian stepped on her foot (a lie but still), reminds her to practice self-care.

Yor helps Anya learn to do her best. Because most of Yor's thoughts are preoccupied by her profession in one way or another, Anya's attempts to read her mind for an easy way out usually end in failure. However, this forces Anya to be more creative and physical in her actions when working with Yor, which are outside of her comfort zone.

Loid/Twilight is the one teaching Anya to respect boundaries, which is HILARIOUS to me. Not only was that one of her first lessons with the whole kidnapping event, but he's lectured her about cheating on tests in the past (even though that would be an excellent attitude to have for the mission), is the one who drilled in her head that she needs to apologize if she hits someone (even though it was for the mission, still important), and he has frequent discussions with her about understanding people and their thought processes. The parts of his teachings that would be more harmful than helpful due to his spy lifestyle are usually countered by Anya sensing his thoughts about stress and his stomach, steering her interest away from her negative traits.

Both parents are teaching her about giving/receiving love in their own way. Yor is able to show her in their day-to-day lifestyle and her unconditional love, and Anya learns from Loid by reading his mind and seeing the thought process behind his actions. These different lessons are painting a picture for Anya really show her the full picture of love: Trusting them, Respecting their boundaries, and coming back for them.

As far as how these lessons will be tested for Anya, I'm not sure. I do know the show points out she can be very self-centered, and her #1 priority is to stay with her parents (specifically Loid), so the most likely scenario is that she'll end up in a situation where the best strategic choice is to go with the bad guys/separate from Twilight and trust he'll find her.

What does this mean for the story advancement?

Well, there's one last thing we have to consider first:

Twilight hasn't cried since THE INCIDENT, which anytime is mentioned comes with a "no one reached out to help/console" him comment.

So with that said, here're my thought about discovering identities, etc.:

Either Loid and Yor find out about each other at the same time, or Yor finds out about Twilight first.

If Twilight finds out about Yor first, he will DIP. Now that Melinda's in the picture, he may even ditch both Yor AND Anya. He is aware of the powerhouse The Garden is, and he knows he'd never stand a chance against Yor in a fight.

He may consider manipulating her on some level, but I see him choosing to leave everything behind over fighting her.

2. I think the reveal will actually involve both going to rescue Anya after she's been taken from them.

It would fit in a scenario where Anya's convinced separating from her parents is better for everyone, and it gives both of them a reason to be in their Professional Mode at the same time in the same place.

3. Most of the mental struggle of this reveal will be shown through Yor's mind.

Twilight has been telling himself he'll dismiss the family once the mission's done over and over again, so outside of a general surprise of Yor's identity, he's mentally prepared himself to separate from them. Yor will be the one to struggle with the fact that she's been married to 'the enemy' for as long as she has.

4. Twilight will be put in a position where he feels alone, and he will cry.

I REALLY think this will happen, and because it was his mom last time, the two best thematic parallels are either something involving his missing dad, or he thinks something happened to Anya.

IF it's because he thinks something happened to Anya, that would be a perfect moment for Yor to have to make her own decision on whether Loid should be considered a traitor, and then for Loid to realize he CAN trust Yor.

5. Once Twilight gets Anya back and understands the full situation, he will be SO PROUD OF HER.

IF I DON'T GET AN ENTIRE FRIGGIN' SPEECH BY HER PAPA ABOUT HOW RESOURCEFUL ANYA'S BEEN, HOW HARD SHE'S WORKED, HOW MUCH EFFORT SHE'S PUT INTO TWILIGHT'S PLANS, AND HOW AMAZING SHE'S BEEN DESPITE THE FACT SHE NEVER EXPECTED ANYONE TO FIND OUT, NEVER EXPECTED A REAL THANK YOU, AND ALL THIS WHILE WORKING UNDER CONSTANT THREAT OF BEING EXPOSED I WILL RIOT.

TWO-PAGES OF PRAISE AND THEN AN ILLUSTRATION OF JUST THE TWO OF THEM, LOID SO PROUD AND ANYA SO MOVED IS THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT FOR ANYA'S EFFORTS. THAT GIRL IS WORKING HER BUTT OFF.

When twilight says "there wouldn't be any point to that", I think he means "there wouldn't be any point to look into how anya did well." Which I would argue is a silly thing for him to say: after all, she did literally twice as well in classical language as any other subject, and without the spelling mistakes she would have done better. You'd think Twilight would be all over that, saying "ok Anya what about classical language sticks with you and how can we apply that learning style to your other grades?" Instead, he brushes it off.

HOWEVER, while it is a silly thing to say--and honestly out of character for Twilight the spy--it is not out of character for Twiloid the dad. Twilight, for all his overprepared-ness, does not look into Anya's past beyond the surface bits from a third party. Like, yes, he has the documents about her being passed around families in chapter 1. But beyond those documents he never asks her about her past. He didn't know she still remembered her mom until she cried during the interview; he doesn't know how she was treated at the orphanage (he just assumes that she would make friends since she grew up around other kids). Heck, when she messes around in his psychiatrist office in chapter 29, he immediately assumes she's been horrifically traumatized...but he doesn't do any follow up. This latest chapter is just the next example of Loid seeing something about Anya's past ("how did she get so good at classical language"), making an assumption ("well it doesn't matter"), and not following up ("I'm making Anya's favorite for dinner tonight"). And this time, he doesn't even have the excuse of "the mission" for this: Nightfall would never have missed a chance to improve Anya's grades like that--Twilight really is losing his touch.

This isn't to say I'm bashing Loid btw. I think he's thinking along the lines of "I don't want to make Anya's life harder by dredging up the past (after all repression works for me just fine)". I think the fact that he's not doing his usual over-preparedness and isnt following up with Anya is a sign that he cares about her a lot. He doesn't want to talk about the time before they were together, especially if that could make Anya feel bad. It's the same with Yor; he only bugged her for one day and felt such immense guilt over it. I don't think he would survive asking Anya about her dead mom and seeing her cry.

But I'm pretty sure that Endo is building up "Twilight not asking Anya about her past" to eventually bite him in the ass.

Oh I see, and now that I think about it this way I can agree with that. Ever since the first chapter when he had that epiphany about not liking to see a kid crying twilight has created an unspoken bond with Anya, because like her, he also had a rough childhood and he doesn't want to look back, so he can assume she also doesn't want to do the same.

The time he punched the table and pretty much gave up on his mission was another display of that. Now that we know of his mother, seeing Anya crying for hers woke up a burning rage inside of him that only reinforced that idea. He doesn't want her to have to deal with her past, at least not while she's too young to process it correctly.

His human side is winning against his spy side, he refuses to take and measure that would cause Anya some kind of sadness, all because he wants her to have a happy childhood. Probing her past to learn more about her hidden skills would definitely cause her some degree of pain, and he'd rather die than do that to his kid.

Not that she would tell him that she was a lab rat anyway, she still is too on-guard about this topic, but one day she'll tell it to her out of her own volition. In the meantime we can continue to speculate about the details, before one of the scientist from project Apple find her that is.

Related to my other post, I think Yor should confess first for the same reasons I think Yor should. Tell Loid she's the Thorn Princess. Maybe she does it at the same time. Maybe she doesn't. Of the entire family (excluding Bond cause I think trust just works differently in dogs), Yor is the one who is ironically the most trusting, and open to trusting people. Twilight doesn't, for obvious reasons. Yuri is the same. And Anya loves her parents, but because she reads minds she knows better than everyone else how often people lie and keep secrets and it informs how she interacts with the world even when she's so small. She feels like she has to do the same to get by or for her own safety.

But Yor...doesn't. Yor just believes whatever ridiculous shit that Twilight tells her (Concussive therapy, iconic), and doesn't really seem to process her coworkers are mocking her because she relies on them when she's insecure about her position as a wife. Yor kills people for a living, but she's the most willing to believe others have her best interest in mind, and would not lie to her. Yor is fucking horrible at acting, to the point she immediately freaks out upon being asked to kiss her fake husband to prove they're real. She wears her feelings on her sleeve. It's obvious when she's in pain, or when she's insecure, or when she's in love (and the only reason Twilight hasn't figured it out is because his career path leads to overthinking EVERYTHING); Yor is painfully honest. The only lie she can keep is about her job, and even that one is barely kept.

The thing Yor has issues with is accepting herself, including her own feelings. She's a deeply insecure person, and doesn't seem to always be aware of her own emotions, or what they mean, or why. Part of her story arc is not becoming more honest but becoming more confident and more self-aware, so I think a natural point it would reach would be her having the awareness and the confidence to tell Loid she loves him, and believing no matter what happens she'll be fine.

Plus again. I think Twilight's reaction to that would be...most interesting. He's romanced and seduced plenty of women for the mission before. Countless times women have told him they love him; this should not be any different, but hearing the words from Yor, even if he expected it, unleashes a flurry of emotions. His heart races. Why is it doing that? That's never happened before. Her words take over his head, and he can feel his iron grip on his control vanish. What's wrong with him? Yor is in love with Loid, if anything that's more convenient for the mission.

His stomach churns, like he's about to throw up. That's right. She's not in love with him; she's in love with 'Loid Forger'. Somehow that inexplicable emotion is worse. He'll never admit to why.

Requested: Can you do a Taeyong x male reader where Taeyong reacts to NCTzen bad mouthing his boyfriend.

(A/N: Sorry if this sucks, school hit me like a brick.)

The day you started hating yourself was just a day like every other. It was about 10 o’clock when your phone went off, waking you up in the process. Realizing Taeyong wasn’t there with you to turn off your phone. You got your phone and saw 50 notifications from NCTzen that were angry about your relationship with their “Oppar-” and “Hyung-” 

The days following, you weren’t taking care of yourself. You hadn’t realized how bad it had gotten until your parents had gotten involved. They asked you what was wrong but you just shrugged them off and made them go away. 

Today, you were planning on going on a date with your boyfriend Taeyong at a nice little diner right down the street from your shared apartment.

But for the time being you were sitting there in you bed doing nothing but thinking about how life was so unfair and how you hated doing this to yourself but you couldn’t stop even if you tried because this depression, this thing you were going through was consuming you.

You get out of bed wondering if today was going to be like other days. Depressed, wondering if today was the day you would end everything. 

‘It’s almost time to meet up with Taeyong.’ You thought to yourself. Patiently waiting for your brain to inform you what you need to do to get ready. You made up the bed, took a shower, changed into the appropriate attire. But into changing, you wondered what would Taeyong think of you. You thought if he would still be there for you. You thought about different scenarios, different outcomes playing out inside your complex mind.

For a good 15 minutes, you just sat the thinking. Thinking about impossible things that Taeyong would never do. He was just simply to good of a person to leave you over your emotions or your mental space. You finally concluded that Taeyong is going to be there for you no matter what.

You looked at the clock. You told him you'd be at the restaurant at 7. You were 20 minutes late. Deciding not you keep your lovely boyfriend for any longer. You headed to the restaurant.

Trying not to outright show your depressed state. You lowered your head as you walked through the restaurant following the waiter to your table. You see Taeyong in all of his godlike glory looking at you with eyes that are full of lust, happiness, and concern. He furrowed his eyebrows looking at yor current state.

You tried to be happy. You tried to fake it for him. And only him. But he wasn't buying it. He's known you for far too long.

As you sit down, he said ”Y/N are you alright. I know I haven't been around because of ’Make a Wish’ promotions-” He paused looking at you. The slightest change in your demeanor gave of more red flags.

He continued ”But, if that's the reason why your upset or the reason that you're in this state right now. I sincerely apologize. I do.”

”It's not you or the promotions Taeyong”

”Then what is it Y/N. Please tell me. I need to know so I can make it right.”

”Acting like what hyung! Like a boy who's been neglected. A man who is being outdated and being tossed like trash by people he doesn't! Because if that's what it seems like. That's because it's happening to me, hyung. Are you that oblivious to the things happening around you?”

Cutting him of you pushed away from the table jumping out of your chair and storm off. A shocked Taeyong finally connects the dots.

Running after you, Taeyong finds you outside crying. He pulls you into a long awaiting hug.

”Y/N I'm so sorry that the fans have been being toxic towards you. For now, on tell me. Tell me so I can protect you. So I can address these types of things so they can hopefully stop.”

The debate inside your head is over. The final answer was that he will always be there for you. He'll protect you. He'll protect you from everything evil in the world. He's your superman. There to save the day when you need it the most. You both may not be in the best place right now but at least you have each other.

Forgers' Christmas preparations

In which the Forgers prepare themselves for holidays and Anya tries to understand something important

As Christmas approached, the city started to be covered by lights and snowflakes, a sweet gift from the sky. And, as in all families, the Forgers were starting to feel the Christmas spirit.

More Christmas stress than Christmas spirit actually, at least for the head of the family.

Loid sighed, Christmas Eve hasn't came yet and he was already exhausted, his job didn't pause even in holidays. Paperwork, short missions here and there, informing about the progress of the Operation Strix... And that was only the beginning of his headaches. In the other side Franky, being there "to help", seemed amused with his friend's misfortune.

'So parents have to decorate every corner of their houses, buy gifts and disguise as a character born in s XVIII called St Nicolas, which image and name was owned by a soft drink company later and modified as Santa Claus from his religious name aka Sinterklaas, act like they're him, a total stranger come from North Pole only to give them a present or simply make a brief greeting, leave the gifts under the tree without their child discovering the lie and repeat said process every year until the kids have grown up'

'Basically' His comrade said, smirking. 'Parents go through a lot of trouble, almost admirable if many of the steps are unnecessary and illogical. First, how is going to travel around the world in one day and enter in a fireplace a overweight man with the help of .. of–' 'Flying reindeers' the informant finished. 'It would make more sense if they were a flock of bird like traveling albatross or andean condor'

Well, if he wanted to cause a good impression to their neighbors and cheer Anya during that break before the second semester he had to work hard.

Meanwhile, Yor was getting advice too. Or so she thought. 'So you're going to take charge of buying the Christmas tree? Your husband cannot?' 'Loid is really busy, he has many patients to take care of and I offered myself to decorate, and I was thinking if you could give me some tips or tell me where I could buy'

After looking to each other, Yor's coworkers asked her why she doesn't use decoration of previous years, and she nervously said they had throw old Christmas stuff after becoming defective, finalizing the story with the excuse that Loid had that decoration before they get married and he didn't remember where he had bought it.

Camilla got her a lecture of how she should know how to handle easy things like that being mother a big sister, though she helped Yor a lot giving her stores directions; Sharon didn't know of that, her maid was who bought most of all, and Millie was the happiest with the topic, though she was more excited about getting holidays and giving herself gifts instead.

Yor thanked the three and repased the list. It was the least she could do she thought, Loid was going to make dinner, buy Anya's gifts and help people in his job, without breaks. He always made his best, and it was going their first Christmas together so she would do her best too.

The students started to go home, all of them talking about their holidays' plans and wishes for the next year and Christmas gifts.

Anya was relieved she couldn't hear their minds, but a bit disappointed.

She wanted to know sy-on boy's thoughts to help pa in his mission, but that day the moon had said bye-bye so she couldn't hear his inner voice or any mind to understand who was that Santa Claus they talked about, and she couldn't ask who's that guy if everyone knew him except her.

She almost dropped it in a previous talk with Becky, receiving a weird look. Luckily she avoided it, hoping Becky forgot it and waiting for the next days before the party and last day of school to get information about that Claus.

'I really want to see what he gave me this year! Dad always give me gifts but I like to see him, probably one of the few fat old men who aren't mean or treat kids like idiots, unlike the Economics teacher'

'So... Have you seen him before?' Asked the curious sper.

'Of course! He doesn't stay in a place for too long, perhaps because he has many work to do. He should let his subordinates do that, but it's nice that a stranger spend part of his time to make others happy every year isn't it?'

Anya stopped one moment and looked at her shoes before continue walking. 'Do you think he could break in any place?' Becky nodded with confidence and then Anya agreed to go home in Mylady's carriage.

Now that she was at home, she has many questions to do, but Loid and Yor had other plans. 'Why don't I take Anya out?' Loid suggested 'You could buy the stuff while we take Bond for a walk and see the house when it's already decorated'

Yor accepted, she preferred to surprise Anya and let Loid have a relaxed moment, but Loid preferred to start the mission "Perfect Christmas". He had waited for too long and now, having a week for the preparations and the second contact with his target, he had to anticipate everything.

In the middle of the bustle, the ruby eyed woman was rereading the list.

'Christmas balls, lights... I just need to buy a tree...where was that place again... '

Oh, it was easier than expected – she said for herself – she couldn't help but smile imagining Anya's face when all were ready to enjoy the holidays and receive Santa Claus.

A shout interrupted the atmosphere. It came from a homeless hit against a wall, now trembling in the floor.

'Give us the money if you want to celebrate more Christmas' Threatened a man dressed as a reindeer, disguised to not reveal his face if the police discovered them. Beside him, a Santa Claus was watching.

'I-I can't! I spent it in food, but I'll give it to you next month! I promise! I promise, please, please don't kill me I'll do it I will–'

Santa pointed a gun at the ragged man. 'A dead can't pay, but a crippled could'

The scene was cut with a calm, cold voice. 'Excuse me, what are you doing?'

The sper looked at Loid. After returning from home she stared at him and he could tell Anya had something to say. 'You have been down since you came home. Did something happen at school'

'No, well, it's just I can't wait until next chapter. Last chapter was great and I want to see Bondman vs Superboss, but waiting is hard...'

Loid raised an eyebrow, and put "Loid's smile". 'Ah, yes. The cliffhanger was intriguing, I'm looking forward to it too'

Her answer was doubtful, though having witnessed her reaction and other moments when she was down for something simple like no peanuts made him doubt as well.

Loid's mind froze, an idea emerged, and his smile widened. 'Anya, would you like to meet someone?'

Loid drove them to a small cabin with candy canes. That was the house of a witch who eat children? Anya's imagination was insane, thinking too much was bad. Pa excuse himself saying he remembered a unsolved thing to do. Probably a bad guy to kick his ass, or so that Anya though.

Then, any idea was gone. In front of her was someone sit in a chair. Giant belly, white beard and a red and white suit.

Unbelievable, she was shocked. How many child had eaten?

In a attempt of break the ice, the sir indicated Anya to sit in his lap. Anya looked at the man, then at the parents and child who were waiting to enter in the cabin, and she looked at him again.

'Don't be scared. Come here and tell Santa what do you want for Christmas'

Santa? He was Santa? Advancing towards him, she sat and said:

'Santa, why didn't you visit me before?'

The Briars celebrated Christmas every year, with or without Santa. But now she was mother, the mother of a girl who lived without her mother the last years, and he was important.

Yes, she never got a gift from him after her parents death, his brother always told her he didn't exist, yet she disagreed. Maybe Yuri thought that because there was many impostors, but Santa existed; and the people who helped him to share the happiness of Christmas too.

'He could have be a man who died long time ago, but once a kind person who gives presents to others inspired that legend, and his identity continued through generations. The costumes you're using should be represent all you aren't, and I won't allow you to do nothing evil with them'

It didn't passed half of a minute between her speech and their defeat. With silence anger, Yor jumped towards the reindeer and crushed him with a kick.

She turned to the other. He didn't hace time to raise the gun when she punched his face, leaving both unconscious.

Yor hadn't sweated a drop, even knowing they weren't too strong by giving a look she had preferred to have opponents resistant enough to last a couple of minutes so they had had what they deserved, but she wasn't going to stop there.

Regaining composure, she helped the homeless and gave him the rest of the money she wouldn't need.

'Wait here, I'm going to buy the tree and I'll get rid of you. Oh, of course you can't hear me, sorry'

Loid wanted to slap himself so hard for acting like that. Why didn't he think that? She was orphan, and her orphanage didn't seem the type that celebrates anything. In that situation any excuse could hurt her, and his plan to cheer her was ruined.

'Sorry little girl, I didn't have your name in my list'

'A list?'

Ah, of course she doesn't know.

'Um... There's a list with the names of all kids. If they aren't good they don't receive gifts. But that doesn't mean you have been bad, is just...'

'Because I didn't have a pa and a ma?'

In that sentence there was a cruel yet true point. Not all children have families, not all of them received gifts, because there wasn't anyone who took care of them, he knew it for experience.

Being honest was the best solution.

'Sometimes I can't reach all of you. I try, every time I can, but it's difficult to give all kids in the world a present, it's already difficult to find them a safe place to live' started, 'Many people think I'm able to do anything, to accomplish all objectives, but I'm human. Everyone have limits'

'This doesn't change anything. I failed you, and I'm sorry Anya'

'You're a spy!'

Anya's face lighted up. 'I knew it' 'Look, I–'

Huh. Loid, disguised as Santa, didn't know what face he was doing, although he had an idea of it. She knew Santa was a spy? She had discovered Loid was a spy? What?

'Don't worry Santa, I won't tell anyone' Fine, she was talking to Santa.

In Anya's mind all made sense. That explained why he knew many child names, how he could break in houses, and why pa had trusted Santa while he went to fight bad guys. Like pa, he had allies in all world to give gifts in one night. And his codename was Santa!

'I forgive you Santa! You couldn't find me in the place I lived. But what I wanted was a pa and a ma, and you have made my wish true' her smile was sincere 'Thank you Santa'

He returned the smile. It wasn't what he planned, but it was okay. 'You're welcome. Go outside, your pa must be waiting you'

She nodded, and went for pa with Bond, no before licking Loid's face. Thanks God Anya hadn't seen it.

As they gone, he walked out the back door and threw the costume to the man supposed to be Santa.

Yor smiled proud. Being mom was tiring, but seeing the result of her work worthed it.

Loid brought them hot chocolate, and the three started a lively conversation. A good Christmas came near.

'Hmm, looks like the police found two men disguised and beaten up on top of a tree. I wonder how did they end up there..'

'D-don't think too much about it Loid!'

• oh boy

• we all are very well aware of the fact that shouto is one dense baby boy. like super dense. so dense in fact, that it took him literal m o n t h s to figure out that you had been flirting with him this whole time.

• you see, he liked you, a lot. even if he wasn't exactly sure what he was feeling. and i mean who could blame him, he didn't exactly have a good (or healthy) example of how relationships or the whole courting process works. so he was kinda a bit baffled?¿ like why was his heart beating so rapidly whenever you were near him??

• super confused. it literally took, ochaco, tenya and izuku to tell him that what he was feeling, was in fact, love. or a crush at the least. this confused him even more, because what was he supposed to do now? he wasn't really good with words, so telling you at this point in time wasn't an option. so he opted to wait and see how this whole "having feelings" thing would develope.

• what he didn't know tho, was that ochaco actually went and told you about how todoroki feels about you. which made you absolutely ecstatic. but honestly you didn't want to full on confront him about it either, because you knew about his hardships and didn't want to like overburden him. instead you decided to go about this lowkey and letting him make to first move, as to not make him uncomfortable

• aka, you started subtly flirting with him, making him lunch, inviting him to study with you, etc. all with the hope of him picking up on your hints, and ask you out.

• which didn't happen....at least not for a while. you would try everything in the realm of possibility, while still wanting to make sure not to make him uncomfortable. but honestly it was getting a bit...frustrating. he wasn't picking up any of your hints, like at all.

• it even went so far that your classmates would make very obvious comments, while the two of you were conversing, and every single time they would fly straight over his head. which in turn would make you even more frustrated.

• all of this reached a tipping point, when the two of you were walking back from grabbing lunch, which you even paid for, and were talking about a training exercise you did earlier that day. you were complimenting his quirk, and his battle finess, and also making very obvious statements about how good he looked while fighting bakugou.

• and yet, he still didn't get it. and at that, you kind of started crying? your frustration getting the better of you. and poor shouto was bamboozled as hell, looking like a puppy caught in the rain. he didn't know what the hell was going on.

• until you basically told him how much you liked him, and that you thought he liked you too, because uraraka said so and that everything you did the past few months were dropping hints in hopes of him picking up on them.

• literal lightbulbs lit up in his head, as he gently took a hold of your hands, and apologized in that sweet, monotone voice of his. this time you were dumbfounded, not at all expecting such a bold move from him.

• but you ended up talking it out that day, and well the rest is history

• a sweet, sweet boy, trying his absolute best.

• like i said earlier, he didn't have a good example of how a functional relationship is supposed to look like. so in the beginning he will be quite hesitant to initiate physical contact, or well, anything really.

• he really doesn't want to make you uncomfortable and to be honest, he also wasn't really sure what was appropriate and what not. so it will be up to you to show him.

• i don't think he will ever be the biggest fan of pda, at least not the 'making out in front of a bunch of people' kind of pda. he prefers a more subtle form of public affection. like hand holding, cheek kisses, and the like.

• shouto is also a very perceptive person, and while he can be quite dense at times, he somehow always finds the right words for any situation. if you were feeling insecure, he will tell you in the most sincere way possible that there is absolutely no need to doubt yourself, because you have your own unique strenghts and qualities. feeling sad? he will offer you his shoulder to cry on, and his ears to listen to your worries and concerns.

• also loves buying you expensive things (of course, with his father's money). you see a nice dress in shop window? he will drag you into the store and make you try it on, and then get it for you. also shares all of his accounts with you, like netflix and what other services endeavor pays for.

• he also pays for most of your dates, even if you tell him he rlly does not have to. and he mostly just does it to piss off his father. so, it really isn't a rarety that you two would dine at luxurious restaurants every once in a while.

• speaking of dates; mostly you two wouldn't go out a lot. you prefered to stay indoors and just bask in each other's company. often you would sit on the couch and just read a book, either together or each of you reading your own. it actually became one of your favourite activities.

• his siblings, absolutely adore you. fuyumi and natsuo are overjoyed every time shouto announces that you will be staying for dinner, or generally coming over to their house. they are incredibly grateful that their baby brother found a lovely partner that accepts him just as he is, and shows him the love and support he was devoided of as a child.

☆.｡.:* kisses .｡.:*☆

• he is such a gentle lover, and the same can be said about his kisses aswell. there rarely is a time when he uses force, except when he is jealous or extremely emotional.

• shouto is also a touchy kisser, he wasn't at first, too scared of overstepping boundaries, but after a while he starting getting bolder. usually one hand would hold your waist, or situate itself on yor lower back, and the other would either wind itself in your hair (if he is feeling particularly needy) or tenderly hold your jaw.

• needless to say, every kiss you share with this boy is incredibly special and meaningful. since he isn't the best with words, he is extra careful to show his feelings through his actions, and what better way is there than to make you absolutely breathless every time you kissed?

• your first kiss; was unexpected? in all honesty it was actually an accident, it was that cliché move of you wanting to kiss his cheek, and him turning his head a bit too early and in turn, pressing his lips to yours. you both were quite embarrassed at first, until you got your bearings back and eventually leaned in for a proper kiss this time

• (natsuo loves teasing him whenever he catches you two being all lovely dovey and sharing sweet kisses on his living room couch, much to shouto's embarrassment)
