aaah your ac comissions are so pretttyyyyyy and you really catch every villagers style and personality perfectly! I also love that u draw them a bit diff in diff arts like seeing raymond in loads of diff outfitd s, really putting your thought in it! Thank you so much!!!❤️❤️ It’s been a joy to work on these. I actually think I’ve been improving as each commission moves along too! Coming up with the different outfits is def. my favorite part of the whole process!! (I like getting repeat villagers cause then I get to come up with new outfits for the same character like Raymond or Bob or Lily! Which is very fun) As for your drawing, I meaaaaan I would just stick with it!! You get better the more you put into it. Here’s one of my first drawings of Bones compared to my latest version of him (and yes I’ve been an AC basic girl for SO LONG. I’ve got drawings of AC characters in my like 4th grade notebook somewhere)

Or here’s some of my early attempts to do fluffy dresses (compared again to recent drawing) lmao. BTW that dress on the pink girl on the left is a conglomerate of like 3 different dresses straight out of a manga I stole from the school library, the bat girl from +Anima anyone remember lol?

Anyhow my point is, literally anyone can draw and your ‘’’level’’’ changes over time by practicing and or just.. drawing a lot! Quarantine Q&A

@joaniam tagged me a thing. I have the Drink and the dinner, so let’s go with this.

are you staying home from work/school?

I am all set up to work remotely and have been for two whole weeks now. But I have never been productive a day in my life staying at home in front of a computer, so you can imagine just how well this is going for me.

if you’re staying home, who’s there with you?

Piper, my wonderful intrusive, distraction asshole beloved companion cat. Bilbo is here too, but he lives in the living room and won't be allowed back into polite society until all these extra tasty expensive wires are gone. Also he refuses to learn to jump over the lip of the gate, so we’re working on that. I have not found a tasty enough strawberry to entice him over and out as of yet.

Are you a homebody?

Very very much so. The couple of coworkers I chat with seem to think I’m baking up a storm to stave off the restlessness they’re all experiencing. I am not. I have animal crossing and my couch is very soft.

I kind of like this week of groceries at a time thing. Might keep doing that.

what movies have you watched recently? what shows are you watching?

I haven’t actually watched a movie since this started. My sister and I were going to Go Out to a employer sponsored movie day the week quarantine was announced as a good idea, but that was postponed. So we stayed at my house and watch Contagion (2011). Let me tell you, that was a bad idea in retrospect.

I do have a hankering for some ghibli though.

To kill the quiet I’ve been listening to Crt Role again, so if you see an upflux of fanart falling out of my queue, thats why

did an event that you were looking forward to that got cancelled?

There was movie day, above, which we improvised. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that July is far enough away that Anima Iowa will stay on the book. So many cons are being cancelled lately.

a pay pandora to decide.

what are you reading?

fic, as it comes to me. I’m considering picking up Monster Blood Tattoo, since I havent read that since the final book was released. But I dont actually have any more free time than I did before the plague came, so that plan has gained no ground.

What are you doing for self care?

I have started drawing a little more, but then Animal Crossing dropped and thats been sucking up all my free time. And my not free time. See above comment of productivity at home. I made dinner for the first time in over a week tonight...

first impression: i was afraid of reblogging your posts at first. i was pretty new to tumblr despite having lurked around the tumblr star wars and marvel fandoms, and i noticed a pattern- the big blogs always reblogged from fellow big blogs, because that was the best way to gain publicity (for fanart especially). consider me paranoid but i was afraid that you, or any other 'big blog', would find me weird if i reblogged from you. but i did in the end and surprisingly you messaged me! (i was so surprised) you were really one of my first followers and friends and i feel so lucky to have met you. tl;dr- i was actually somewhat intimidated since i'm a nomad that doesn't know how tumblr works. see??? i'm super dumb.

closeness ratings: umm... solid 8 out of 10? not very solid 8.5 out of 10? i'm locking it in, 8.25 out of 10, because we've been online friends for almost half a year already (yay!)

you are my: sunshine... literally! you always take an optimistic and calm approach to unnecessary drama, and you're caring and cheerful and have showered me in nothing but kindness and compliments. ☀️

to be honest: i'm taking you up on the singapore offer! to be honest, you've been following teams that have a LOT going on recently and you do NOT deserve all that drama considering how much you dislike it.

if we were in an apocalypse movie your role in the group would be: the person who stands up on a messy desk, a screen or a whiteboard behind you, and look down upon the frightened faces and say something inspiring. that quote would go on to become viewer's whatsapp statuses or go on people's insta bios. i can't exactly say leader because let's face it you're too nice to be completely just when it comes to distributing rations, you'd probably starve yourself and give all the food to the others. i also can't say a commander because, having played various video games, although you have popularity, you're organised, you're inspiring and you boost morale, there are always some traitors plotting against them and that would not happen to you.

song that makes me think of you: i remember that you're a fan of the great avicii (not a fan but i do enjoy his songs) so i went on spotify and started playing all of his songs. when i got to the nights i listened in, and then when it was over i thought, yeah that's the one. it's a combination of edm, the genre i suppose you like, lively and cheerful beats, and inspiring lyrics. it's optimistic and bright, it really reminded me of you. i briefly considered levels too though.

should you post this too: you did!! i'm so sorry i was doing my daily research (today about universities because uggghhhh) and then it crossed my mind, so i immediately scrolled through my notifications (note- i searched notifications and not inbox, highlighting how dumb i truly am). sooo here it is, i'm sorry it took like 10 days 🙃

and! yes! explanation about the emoji choice! chicken because i'm a chicken- i am a big coward and commonly viewed as profoundly stupid, and the bee because i used to be a girl scout. we were called 'happy bees' and it stuck with me. also i love honey, officially making winnie the pooh my spirit animal. 🍯
