I had no idea when I started this account that I would turn into such a Byron stan -- no regrets, to be clear! I'm just so surprised.

So naturally I'm thinking about how he would feel after Phoenix Gate happened. Specifically about his feelings regarding Anabella and having to claim he would be loyal to her, even though his heart remains with Rosaria and he considers her to be the most vile person alive. And I was wondering like, what's the difference between swearing fealty or loyalty? (This question came up while writing a reply to a thread and I went down a rabbit hole). And when I looked it up I found this quote that just *clenches fist so tight it breaks* sums up Byron's feelings so much:

“Loyalty is the most perfect form of mutual respect. It is a bond that goes two ways, and that is why it endures. Fealty, on the other hand, must be endured. It is based on power, and ends the moment the one who commands it no longer has a grip on the one who is shackled by it.” - Karen Tumulty

Loyalty is what he felt for Elwin, his brother who he had the utmost trust in and love for. It went two ways not only because Byron was his brother but because Elwin had great respect and care for the people he ruled. His loyalty was to them as well, which is why he agonized so much over how to best serve them and care for the most vulnerable people in Rosaria. He was dedicated to liberating Bearers and changing society's views of their humanity and worth for the better. His unconditional positive regard for everyone in Rosaria made Byron love and respect Elwin all the more. The two-way loyalty endures and only grows stronger with time.

Anabella, by contrast -- she must be endured. She is a painful reminder of the absolute heartbreak and destruction she wrought. She's a looming threat of what will happen if you speak out against her, and she had no problem getting rid of others who remained loyal to Rosaria -- and they weren't even Elwin's brother. It's so interesting that she let him live. His talk with Clive and Jill when they reunite makes it seem as though Anabella wasn't always so terrible; maybe she was judgmental and haughty, but they weren't traits that made her seem like a risk for committing treason. Maybe they even got along well enough at one point? Polite acquaintances? But he says with certainty that she's taken a sharp turn in the wrong direction, as if she was being influenced by something or someone else.

So with Anabella demanding that the remaining inhabitants of the former duchy (and surrounding areas) must swear an oath to her, Byron feels he has no choice. If he were to refuse, the best case scenario would be to lose absolutely everything he has. The worst, of course, would be death. Byron feels great shame over this and in that same scene tells Clive that he wishes he had been as courageous as Elwin always was. But he made a methodical, painful decision that wound up being exactly how he could be brave and help the resistance overthrow Anabella (and Ultima at the helm of it all). He needed to retain his influence, property, and wealth to support the Hideaway and the Cursebreakers. And when push (literally) came to shove, he was more than willing to put his own safety on the line (and he looked so good swinging that axe around wow !! look at that guy).

So, where was I going with this whole thing ?? I nearly lost my train of thought but ok to wrap this up -- if Byron had seen the difference between swearing loyalty and fealty, I think he would have felt worlds better about having to feign support for Anabella. It didn't make him a bad person or a shameful Rosarian. It was a means to an end, a way for him to bide his time while he threw his support behind the people who would liberate Rosaria.

✧ a/n: when i tell ya'll i legit struggled to be able to write this entire thing. there's been like 3-4 scrapped drafts because halfway through writing i would just NOT be satisfied with the result. to the anon who requested this, i'm so sorry it took this long - but i hope the upcoming trainwreck makes up for it! a trainwreck im still not actually satisfied with LMFAO. but it's better than the other 5 scrapped works. also not beta-read so fellas if u see a spelling error - no you didn't.

p.s: some mara-struck information i give here are totally fanmade for the purpose of this fic alone, as such don't take whatever i write about mara here as what actually happens canonically to characters (then again most of the playable characters have different symptoms of mara themselves).

"Benefactor, am I correct to believe you're asking me if the general has any specific interests?" Tingyun asks with a snicker, the trailblazer looking away from her prying eyes while mumbling a quiet yes.

"Some of the younger... Can I call them younger? Anyway, some of the younger Xianzhou citizens are very infatuated with the general. Seeing as I've been announced as his honory guest, they do often come and ask me various things to try and gain his favor. So yeah, anything at this point will work - so please!" the trailblazer hurriedly explained, clasping their hands together in a desperate attempt to get anything from the foxian amicassador leaning back with a quirked eyebrow.

"Ahh, love truly makes someone go blind doesn't it," she muses out loud, the trailblazers' eyebrow furrowing together in confusion over the foxian's lady choice of words, "... You're not entirerely wrong with that statement..."

"Do you want to know what his favorite flower is?" Tingyun asks, ignoring the confused question that had been uttered to her, snapping her fan open to hide the cheeky smile that spread across her lips - but anyone could still tell that her eyes were gleaming with mischief as the trailblazer nodded their head.

"He doesn't have one."

"Then why did you even-"

"But he likes ginkgo leaves."

The trailblazers' eyes widened in shock, and rightfully so because the very thing ginkgo leaves are associated with are after all...

"He had a lover once, and as far as I'm aware, his last moment with them while they still had their consciousness intact was surrounded by ginkgo leaves."

Jing Yuan whilst having forgotten almost every single moment with you, does unfortunately remember the exact details of the day that your descent into madness started. Because what he witnessed wasn't a futile struggle you had with yourself to not to destroy everything within your vicinity. Instead, he witnessed the slow process of your bright self becoming an empty shell, only capable of uttering a few words.

It's comical really, even when faced with a curse that struck everyone mad - he found out that it oddly fit your character to not go mad, but instead become the complete opposite of your gentle self. A hollow shell of the person he fell in love with all centuries ago.

Jing Yuan knew he had to end your suffering right then and there when you first started to show signs.

But he couldn't - This wasn't something that had to be immediately dealt with, his hand wasn't forced like it was back when he had to slay his own master down before she took more lives.

No, this was a normal afternoon on what would've been another normal, mundane day in both of your lives. But everything went wrong the moment Jing Yuan heard the breaking of glass, and how there was a lone gingko leaf inside the palm of your hand - a ginkgo leaf that you were staring wide-eyed at with a trembling hand.

You were too far from the veranda to have a ginkgo leaf in your hand.

General Jing Yuan would've ended your suffering the moment you turned around to lock eyes with him, your own face twisted into one of utter fear.

General Jing Yuan would've reported you the to Ten-Lords Commissions as the law had stated. But Jing Yuan couldn't - because Jing Yuan knew that the moment he did, he would never see you again.

So he decided for once he would be selfish. Jing Yuan rarely made choices lately that was based off of his own feelings, but his time with you was cut too harshly, so once again he chooses to be selfish. Even if that meant that it would prolong your suffering just a tiny bit more. "... We can figure something out," was the only thing he could muster up the courage to say with a shaking voice. You didn't say anything, your mouth wobbling a tiny bit and your breathing getting harsher by the second.

But still you indulged him - you always did. So with an equally wobbly smile, you only nodded your head slightly, "... Sure."

That wobbly smile and expression of utter fear was the last genuine expression that truly came from yourself.

The descent to becoming fully mara-struck is usually a fast process, the curse able to completely overtake someone's mind within the same day the symptoms appears - rendering the person completely vulnerable with the only alternative to either hand themselves in to the Ten-Lords or wait for the Ten-Lords to come to them personally.

Your usual easy-going smile was gone, in its stead was eyes that kept going in and out of focus. Almost as if you were desperately trying to keep yourself grounded - a battle you both knew would end with your defeat.

Jing Yuan didn't dare to venture outside of the house. One step out and every Cloud Knight would've been on you within seconds to subdue you. He had first initially resorted to just holding you within his arms for as long as he could, to be able to remember how you felt like after your death.

But with the minimal strength you had left, you had wobbled to the garden, every step taken only making you pant heavily. But even with heavy breaths of air leaving your lips, you had refused to take Jing Yuans hand or offer to even carry you out to the garden. When you had managed to reach the ginkgo tree standing tall at the center of the garden, Jing Yuan was sure you were going to collapse in front of it, taking a quick step to catch you.

But instead you had merely reached your hands up, the falling leaves fluttering gently down onto your palms. And while you were in indescriable pain for the last couple of hours - Jing Yuan could only see a serene expression when you looked up at the ginkgo leaves that were continously falling down.

"... They're beautiful... aren't they... Jing Yuan? It's almost a pity... that these beautiful... leaves are associated with our doom," you said softly. Jing Yuan could feel his breath hitch in his throat when you uttered his name.

You're obviously struggling to convey whatever thoughts you still had to him properly, taking a moment in between words to catch your breath, eyebrows furrowed slightly as you fought against the searing pain that was spreading through every nerve in your body.

There's a sudden gust of wind which causes the pile of leaves in your hands to flutter away from your grasp. Your hand stretches out slightly, almost in an attempt to reach out for them - stumbling a bit in your step. The limp causes Jing Yuan to take a quick step forward with his arms outstretched. Perhaps seeing him in your peripheral vision causes you to stop the futile attempt to catch the escaping leaves, arms going limp against your side as you turn to face him - your once blank expression turning into a somber smile instead.

Jing Yuan thinks that it's unfair how normal you look in front of him - almost as if you haven't been becme mara-struck. Like nothing has happened to you aside from the ginkgo leaves fluttering from your lips whenever you cough. The same cough that causes the general of Luofu to flinch every time - without fail.

And perhaps you can see his inner turmoil, the way he tries to make eye contact with you, but is unable to after a few seconds. The way his hands clench too hard into fist to the point droplets of blood fall down to the grass and stains it a deep red while he bites his own lips to not say a word - lest he says something that he will regret.

And you truly wish that you could tell him everything is okay like you usually do.

But for the first time since the day he lost his friends, you can't.

"... I'm sorry," you finally say, the apology making him whip his head up to you again. Mouth opening to say something to comfort you, to tell you that it's not your fault. But the words are unable to leave his mouth when he sees your arms slightly outstretched towards him with a small smile.

And he can't hold it in anymore.

It only takes him a few wide steps to reach you from his position before he cradles you within his arms. The grip is tight, unbearably tight to the point it hurts, but you don't complain. You're limp in his hold, and if this was any day he wouldn't comment, but the fact that you're not moving a single muscle terrifies Jing Yuan to the core. "... Please," he finally manages to whisper, the rustling of ginkgo leaves around you almost drowning out his quiet plea.

"Please don't make me do this again."

He doesn't ask if the tensing of your body is caused by the pain that's rapidly increasing or if it's caused by his silent confession. He can however feel the gentle hand that rests against the lower part of his back and your head resting against the side of his own. The reassurance you try to give him does nothing to help because he's aware that it probably brought you unmeasurable pain to try to move those limbs - instead the general buries his face closer to your neck and squeezes you tighter.

"... You won't." you whisper quietly.

It takes a moment for Jing Yuan to process the meaning behind those two words.

But it's a moment too late, because before he can get his phone out to usher a command, a few resounding knocks can be heard throughout the quiet mansion.

"General Jing Yuan. This is Xueyi of the Ten-Lords commission. I've gotten information that there's currently a mara-struck within these premises."

Jing Yuan feels his blood run cold, he pulls himself away from you to stare at you properly in disbelief.

You're still staring at him with the same somber expression, however he can tell there's a small pitiful smile grazing your lips, "I'm sorry," you whisper once again.

"I asked her... personally," you start, finally letting yourself rest now that the end is near, slumping down onto Jing Yuan's chest, your ear settling itself against his heart to hear his rapid heartbeats.

Jing Yuan loathes the fact that it's at this moment, with the Ten-Lords commission outside of your door and with him completely broken do you actually look at peace - like your battle against time has finally come to its conclusion.

And naturally, the one who lost is you.

"Half a day... with you. Then she would come and bring me there. You won't have to... do this again."

You're not able to see Jing Yuan's face - and Jing Yuan wouldn't want you to see how he looked like right now. The arms around you is trembling, his mind is racing - trying to come up with anything to give him a bit more time with you.

But for once, the general that had a plan for every situation had nothing in mind.

He's lost. And the prize of the loss this time is losing you forever.

"General, I apologize for the rudeness of what I'm about to do, but this is for both of your safety," Jing Yuan hear Xueyi mutter from outside of the door, before he hears the rattling of the door frame start to slide open.

"Wait- no," it's a quiet request that gets ignored as Xueyi strides in alone, the lack of company making Jing Yuan's eyebrows furrow in confusion.

"... Their last request along with the request for my late arrival here was for the Cloud Knights to not see you like this. Naturally I won't tell anyone of what I've seen today."

Jing Yuan doesn't care about that, he could care less about his image right now, pulling you closer to him while his eyes are downcast - he makes no move to hand you over to the judge.

The puppet judge before him does not say anything - nor does she make a move. What she does however is wait, wait for the general before her that has been utterly crushed and broken by the person in his arms start to accept the harsh truth once again.

If he doesn't handle the mara-struck himself, someone else would - but the end result only serves to punish him in the end, the one left behind.

Xueyi hears a silent breath be let out by the general, her once closed eyes opening up to see the general pull slightly away from you, one hand reaching up to cradle your cheek. Your eyes have long since closed, and you're most likely not even conscious to hear what he's about to say.

"My dear... I'm sorry I couldn't do more for you. But I'm afraid you'll have to wait a bit longer before we can meet again," he whispers, bumping his forehead against your own gently, "I hope you won't fault me for that."

A long ginkgo leaf flutters right between the two of you, eventually settling down on your chest.

Jing Yuan sucks in one last deep breath, "I'm sorry I kept you here for so long - I'm sorry you had to be in pain for so long because of me," he leans in to slot his lips one last time over your own, whispering something that Xueyi can't hear before he rises up, your body limp in his arms.

"Thank you for your service Miss Xueyi, please see them off appropiately." Jing Yuan says, voice sounding eerily calm - almost like his usual self.

When he turns around to finally face her, the puppet's lifeless eyes seem to grow a bit in surprise. Before her is the general of Luofu, his usual easy-going smile present on his lips.

Like he wasn't carrying his mara-struck lover in his arms.

"As much as I would want to accompany you to see them off, I'm afraid I have some urgent matters to attend to," he informs, handing your body over to Xueyi - she doesn't comment on how his hands are still slightly trembling or how he immediately turned a bit to the side to ignore staring at her head-on.

Even though Xueyi doesn't want to ask, she still asks either way, "What are your plans from here on, general?"

Jing Yuan only gives her a close eyed smile, turning his gaze towards the large ginkgo tree with his hands behind his back. He gnaws a tiny bit at his lips, finally breathing out.

A couple of seconds passes by before he opens his mouth.

"I think I'll meditate a bit under this tree before heading back to the Seat. I can't leave Luofu without me for too long after all."

idk how many of u all still have interest ? if at all, in my choi san series that i did back in 2022 (2.5 parts all thanks to you, because of you, all because of you) i jus wanted to say that im actually working on a 2024 revised/longer version of this so all the parts are combined and theres more filler story that i wanna get into between oc and san :3 as well as expand on the pt 3 that i initially had in the drafts back in 2022-2023

this is a little random BUT: imo Ed having Catholic guilt/religious trauma is basically canon. he has lines in s2 that point in that direction anyway (wanting a "cure" for his powers, etc. being a meta-human isn't a one-to-one allegory for any irl minority but in ED'S case it def reads like a queer metaphor), but in s3 he outright states he used to pray to try and get rid of his powers. there's no way the guy doesn't have baggage tied to (canonically, according to Greg) growing up Catholic

I entirely agree !!! I think it’s incredibly reasonable to characterise Ed with catholic guilt exactly because of the outlined reasons. Him explicitly stating in Outsiders that he used to try to pray his powers away was just a little too on the spot for it to NOT be interpreted as an extension of religious baggage and growing up Catholic.

also totally agree with ur understanding of his S2 attitude!! Especially with the whole “meta-gene being an extension of minority” aspect because I feel like it only really shines as an allegory when it’s used in combination with real-world minority identity exploration/issues. Because these r the exact people who r very familiar with those type of struggles and complexes.

Eduardo starting off by being steadfast on wanting to have a cure for it as his immediate reaction to something that is clearly inseparable from one’s being, it reads all too easily as like u said a queer metaphor only in combination with what we know of his background and being gay. It’s a very natural way of story telling that people can interpret it as, so it rlly does make sense.

It’s also rlly cool that by S3 he says that “he used to”, he’s clearly done a lot of growth since S2 and having that extend to his catholic guilt and how he has overcome it to an extent during the time skip and being more at peace with himself and be happy for a change, we love that for him.

Hi!! I appreciate you asking me first of all, it makes me feel like I'm getting better to the point where I can give my own tips <3

I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE THIS IS SO LONG :(

I've given you here my 4 best tips that have helped me :) I hope they are of some use to you as well!!

I'll tell you what--the one thing that really helped me grow personally was consistency with writing. I did have a point where I went MIA for a while because of school, but I took advantage over this whole summer to write, write, write! Sure, if you read some of my old stuff it's actually pretty bad and poorly written lol, but I just kept going until eventually I found a decent-ish writing style that works for me. Sometimes I'd have a REALLY nice fic written, and other times it feels like my writing just wasn't it/downgrading. It's a lot of yo-yo'ing, but keep going at it and soon enough the ideas and words will come to you smoothly.

What I also started with was moodboards!! Like this Mingi moodboard, for example, which eventually became an inspiration for a short fanfic story that I went along with based off the pictures. You know what else is cute sometimes, too? Posting song links if a certain song is an inspiration for a fic. I'm gonna start diong it, and most definitely will be linking from anything like orchestra to noise music if it fits a vibe lol. I'll admit, I haven't gotten to give a really detailed moodboard + fic like that Mingi one in a while and I'd like to go back to it. And, it's currently my post with the most notes ever, so I really would advise you to try a fun mood board with pictures and feel your way around the vibes and write!

As for HOW to write -- I'm currently working on "show, don't tell." I like reading a few of my absolute favorite fics from other people and I study how they use methods of showing emotions, gestures, events, etc. in discriptive manners--it makes me feel as though the fic comes to life and I'm really there, feeling and experiencing everything my y/n does!! Also this is a short fun challenge that I give myself -- I don't ever use "Y/N" in any of my fics because i feel like it disrupts the flow of the reading lol (this is just my own preference though, you don't have to do this!) instead, I refer to anyone directing their attention to you as "You," or if your partner is speaking to you, something like "thank you, my love/how have you been, love?" :P ALSO!! I alwaayyysss have a second tab open on google where I look up synonyms/antonyms of words so that I don't repeat them so much. Like, angry synonym, and I'll choose the word vexed instead. Works wonders and actually enhances your vocab!!

Requests will come in soon, and they will definitely challenge you to think outside the box and get creative!! Who says all stories have to be happy endings? What if they're about self-reflection? Love? Friendship? Or just silly buffonery 😆 I could ask you a few requests as well if you'd like as a way to get started :') Also, interact with followers as inbox msgs come in! I wasn't too good at this at the start and it is one thing I wish I could go back and work on.

Thank you if you actually even made it all the way down here! My hope with this blog is that my fanfics will help me become a decent enough writer to a point where one day I'll have enough creative experience to draft a full YA novel, which has been a dream of mine since elementary school! I hope these tips help you in anyway, and I can't help but thank you and anyone else who even gives a second thought to this blog for all the ways you guys help me fix and enhance my writing.

as for any advice? okay so this is what helps me a lot in staying productive and motivated (aka my writing routine when i tackle my prompts):

whenever i receive requests or think up new fic ideas of my own, i instantly write them down in my goodnotes notebook. from there, i tweak and outline, trying to figure out what i like and don't like. i think of titles, scenes, dialogue, all that jazz. and perhaps this is so silly, but i use my college essay strategy (introduction, body, and conclusion) CAUSE THAT HELPS SO MUCH! trust me on this, it makes it a shit ton easier. sometimes i start on the body and other times the introduction- whatever feels easiest for me. also, whenever you're working on a larger fic, at times, i find it best to write the part(s) where you have the most ideas and energy, and then gradually branch out.

throw out a rough draft, like a really ugly and shitty base. leave it alone for a day and then work on polishing it. it is much better to approach your writing with a fresh and clearer mind. and if you're feeling less committed to it, move on to something new and come back to it later on!

there is absolutely no use in forcing yourself to do something you don't want to do. nope. not at all. it just ruins everything.

for when i start to lose motivation (or begin to feel that stupid writer's block), i usually pull up a book to read. for my aemond fics, i'll typically reread fire and blood or one of the books in the asoiaf series. i don't know why but reading grrm's writing style fills me with a sudden rush of motivation and encouragement to write for this sexy one-eyed pathetic meow-meow bastard.

(okay well that and i'll go back to all my previous fics and reread y'all's comments, cause receiving comments from y'all is the best fucking fuel EVER.)

my love, my best advice is to find your own writing style. your own groove. as cliche as this sounds, writing is a form of art, and every artist has their own way of creating such. it is what makes us unique. play around, read some books, listen to music, talk to your mutuals (@chainsawsangel is my muse. love you bestie. everyone say thank you cause she constantly motivates my ass to write), and practice until it feels natural to you. think of your followers kicking up their feet in the air while reading your work. how excited they will be when they see you posted something new. "YAY, SHE POSTED!!!"

and if you ever need to bounce around ideas or plan how you wanna write a certain fic, don't feel shy- message me! i'd be happy to talk and help you out. this goes out to everyone.

sympathy subtraction (chwe vernon). okay so there is NO way im not mentioning this fic. AND im putting it on first place because its literally my child. my longest fic and the fic i hold the closest to my heart. 40k full of undying love for chwe vernon, this is. it also really closely follows my emotions about every single falling-out i've ever had. the perfect slice of life, the perfect coming of age. i shamelessly reread this from time to time from how well written it actually is. i am not afraid to say that i am the biggest fan of my own fic bc oh well. i write the fics i wanna read <3

this february 14th (kim mingyu). okay here's the tea. for a while, i really didnt like this fic and i despised seeing it in my notifications, BUT. it literally has 1k notes so i reread it last night and i literally forgot what this fic was about i kid you not 😭 after reading it again, i came to the conclusion that my writing style in this is actually really good and even though the plot is not anything special, i still think it was really sweet :p

happier than ever (huang renjun). a big FAT trauma dump. but i absolutely adore this fic. one of my absolute favorites. i somehow always give renjun the fics where i experience the most trauma lmao i treat writing for this boy like a therapy session. i think it has to do w the fact that i see myself a lot in renjun so it feels safe to write about him in this way :p anywAYS i still love the brother's best friend trope i incorporated in here. its also a fairly popular fic of mine, which is a pleasant surprise! a lot of coming of age/slice of life vibes, fluffy but also absolutely heartbreaking. <3

the borders (huang renjun). AAAAAAA another trauma dump 😭 hits a little less to home than the previous fic does, but still hits nonetheless. inspired by one of my most favorite songs ever! i always wanted to write a fic on this song, even back in my 5sos era, so i am glad i finally did it when writing for nct. handles very difficult themes, so i was a little scared of posting it, as it was the first full nct fic ive ever posted as well :) i said it the first time and i will say it again; handle this fic with care.

and i love her just like that (lee donghyuck). MY MOST POPULAR NCT FIC AND YOU KNOW WHAT? AS IT SHOULD BE. hyuck e2l just hitS 😩😩 i think about this fic at least two times a week when i go play table tennis with my dad. hyuck is a menace and i still wanna make out with him very badly at a ping-pong table. this fic represents just that. also slightly inspired by maniac by nct u bc hyuck ate

seventeen going under (zhong chenle). another fic that might be difficult to handle and also another sam fender inspired fic. talks about suicide. with this, i wanted to speak up about the rate of male suicides and how we tend to overlook mental issues in men due to toxic masculinity. also, i loved the 'retro' film vibe and the chenji besties interactions i wrote in here<3

hypersonic missiles (na jaemin). bros i didnt expect this fic to get nearly as much attention as it has. idk man i dont really get much to say abt this one, other than the fact that its a sci-fi, which i dont usually write, but i fucking loved writing this it was so much fun i should do more sci-fi

"You did what?" Childe was pissed. How could a fatui, well and hard trained fighters, mess up this bad?

"I didn't mean it boss! I-!" A fatui spoke before a loud gun shot echoed through-out the large room.

"This fucker. " Childe scoffed as he picked up he body of the now dead fatui, laying on the floor still attached to the chair. He was gripping onto the scalp of the poor boy so hard, it looked like it was about to rip off.

"Hey, you didn't have to do that.." Another fatui worker broke the silence, slowly approaching Childe.

He quickly pulled the gun out again and pointed it to the worker's head.

"Take a step closer and you're next." He threatened. "Oh.. okay, Boss..." The terrified fatui stepped away slowly as Childe picked up the body and started shooting it even more. "Fuck!" Childe screamed as he threw the gun on the dead body covered in bullet holes and blood.

"Darling, I'm home" Childe sighed as the opened the door and immediately sat on the couch.

"Ah, ah, ah! Remember the rule we have! Go get changed and then you can sit and lay around. " You hurried as he stood up.

"Fine, fine! You're lucky I love you. If I didn't, I'd blow your head off." He teased.

"We all remember the last time you joked about that, don't we?" You looked over your shoulder to see him picking up his stuff.

"No, I don't" He annoyingly responded. He absolutely knew what happened last time. He joked about blowing your head off if he didn't love you, which ended him sleeping on the couch for 3 nights straight.

"Just get changed. I'll finish up your food." You laughed at him as he entered your bedroom.

A few minutes pass and he finally steps out in his usual home clothes. His hair was all wet and he smelled like mint.

"Wow. You smell great." You spoke in awe as you took off your apron and sat at the dining area.

"Thanks. It's the one you got me, actually." He smiled.

"Isn't it expired? I bought that when we got home from our honeymoon." You asked, handing him chopsticks only to remember his inability to use them. So you take it back and offer him a spoon and fork instead.

"I'll... have to check on that.." He trailed off.

You both finished eating and he said he would do the dishes. You didn't complain and dropped yourself on the couch. After Childe had finished washing the dishes, he walked into the living room, where you were laying. "Come, sit" You spoke as you sat down and pat the seat beside you.

"So, how was work? I noticed you don't seem like yourself. You're usually clingy when you get home. Aaannd usually fall asleep as soon as you fall onto the bed. What's wrong? Is something bothering you?" You asked, taking his hand. "You can talk to me, you know that right? I'm your wife, so don't be ashamed or worried. I'll listen and try my best to understand.".

"Well.. A worker from work just fucked something up. Like, really bad." He responded as he fiddled with your fingers.

"What did they do?"

"He 'accidentally' caused some big fucking fight causing the police to have suspicions related to us." He scoffed, annoyed just by thinking about it.

"What did you do to him...?" You got worried. This isn't the first time Childe got pissed and hurt someone badly.

"I just blew his head off." He laughed, proud of himself.

"WHAT?!" You screamed in disbelief.

"Don't worry about him, love. I told the other guys to just say he got run over or something. The fish in the river will eat his corpse. It's all fine." He continued, still somehow proud of what he did.

"I don't care if his body gets found or not. We had a rule about this! And you promised that you wouldn't break it anymore!" You stood up in anger.

"Don't worry! I told you!" He answered back.

"Don't talk to me. I'll be waiting for your apology in the room. Don't even think about bribing me. I promise you, it won't work." You angrily stomped to your room.

"Wait, no! I'm sorry, okay?" He stood up, following you. As soon as he caught up with you, he grabbed your arm.

"I don't think I'm the one you're supposed to say sorry to. Tomorrow, we're cancelling our dinner and spending the day with the fatui." You sternly said. "And I am not accepting no for an answer."

"But-! I spend the whole day with them already! I had stuff planned for tomorrow!" He complained like a little child(e).

"Maybe you should've thought of the consequences before doing it. Well, my decision is final." You replied.

"W-Who's money are you gonna use, huh? Mine? Pfft!" He laughed.

"Hah, not a chance. I'm not that dependent on you, ya know? I have my own money and I'm deciding to use it on the fatui." You smirked.

"Hey, darling?" Childe shyly asked as he pat your shoulder to wake you up.

"Hm? What is it?" You said with a groggy voice.

"I'm sorry. I-I didn't mean to have such a bad temper. I'm sorry for complaining. You're right, I should apologize." He pouted, finally feeling guilty of what he had done.

"Don't worry, love. Tomorrow, wake up bright and early so we can prepare. I promise it'll be fun. Good night." You kissed him goodnight and you fell asleep in each other's arms.

Chapter 5 of PM was so good ( until hoejo and especially his bitch show up 😒)

I’m have bit conflict now after see some reader still want a y/n and Gojo end game ( no hate toward PM Gojo and y/n shipping) rather than y/n and Getou end game. Because now I see them both appeal now.

Ending with y/n and Getou together.

It has a lot appeal to it and that includes hurting Gojo a lot. Imagine seeing your best friend and your longtime ex girlfriend being a happy together and watching her do all things she use to do for you but now it going all to your friend. All of her love and her care toward him now and especially when Gojo and Rie relationship go sour😈.

As for Getou not ending up with y/n

It would be interested if Getou doesn’t end up with y/n because it could highlight the difference between him and Gojo. If Getou did have a crush on y/n back in the day and now that her and Gojo are broke up and has a opportunity to make his move on her now but unlike Gojo. Getou move on with his life and his little crush on y/n is all in the past now. He just now genuinely care about her as a friend now and also unlike Gojo. Getou think with his head and thoughts about the consequences of his actions. He thought about his friendship with Gojo. It show Getou maturity while Gojo has not.

Ending with Gojo and y/n together

This one has appeal too but more specific and that is put Rie through hell. Just imagine it

Rie hasn’t have a man in years and she is lonely and touch starved and she crave for love and affection and she hear her old high school crush is in commit relationship and has been for 5 years but then they kiss. He leaves his relationship for her. They get together but then he slowly realise that he still love his ex. He can’t stand it seeing her in pain or seeing her with another even if that man can treat her right like best friend. So Gojo break up with her and going back to y/n but this time he treat her right and they have a happy future together fill with love and happiness. As for Rie is alone again but this time it worse because not only she threw her moral and dignity away because of him but now she can’t be friends with any old high school friends ( I’m talking about anyone else she knew from high school that also happened to be in Getou , Gojo and Shoko social circle) unless she want to see y/n and Gojo being happy together.

The only problem with this ending is Gojo because PM is only has 2 or 3 chapter left and some may wonder if that enough for Gojo to redeem himself for y/n especially with how much pain he put her through.

Anyway great chapter Tojikai and also your Angel for rewrite for 8 straight! Because you lose your daft! What did we do to deserve a author like you😭 you deserve a break Tojikai. You take care of yourself and take time. I can’t wait for next chapter.

P.s you might want to make a second daft to copy and paste your work just you lose it again😅 but that just suggestion. Sorry if this sound rude.

ok so this is less a scene and more an entire fic concept but i literally cannot figure out a context to put it into and it hurts because i really like it

there’s a family living there now, from what he’s heard. a mom and a dad, and two daughters. maybe he should tell them about the money. but what would he even say? hey, there’s a twenty dollar bill somewhere in your walls. also, a part of me died here and i’m afraid his ghost might be wandering the halls. is he overstaying his welcome? i’m sorry if he is, by the way. i’d recommend you a nice priest for an exorcism, but he’ll probably just leave if you tell him to go.

peter thinks maybe he’ll slip a note under the door instead, but there’s too many words to fit on a page to describe the way his bones ache when he passes by the building, how he still wakes up in the morning expecting to smell burnt toast and hear may singing along to some garbage song from the 80’s she claims is the best thing she’s ever heard, or all the different creaks and moans of the apartment, all its quirks and flaws that he once knew like the back of his hand.

he could explain it all away; that faucet leaks because i was an overachieving nine year old who thought he could take it apart and put it back together without a problem, or that weird brown-ish stain on the ceiling is from when may accidentally flung spaghetti across the room, or why are you trying to rid this apartment of all the evidence of it being a home?

i wish i could say that all my writing is really deep and there's clues everywhere but most foreshadowing in my fics is something i did on accident and then went holy shit i can use this. i'm a genius.

i will say though, the way tony rhodey and peter's dynamic changes throughout everything i have posted for r&r (and everything in my drafts oop) is probably my favorite thing ever like idk i'm a huge fan of the walking dead and the way relationships shift with each new experience and that is exactly what i wanted to do when i started the series

i was gonna look through a couple of my fics to see if i could find specific references but ao3 is fucking. DOWN and i'm too lazy to pull up my google docs. god bless

22. Do you reread your old works? How do you feel about them?

i reread them all the TIME omfg. a lot of the times i'm cringing at spelling or grammatical errors (and then i fix them) but idk there's something so fun about being able to go back to a fic and think wow i would've done that differently if i wrote it today. it's also fun to read through a fic i don't remember writing at ALL and being like holy shit............ banger.............. it's an ego boost i guess
